One moment, Gervasio "Vas" Bellone was a hardworking medical student at the University of Genoa. The next, he'd abandoned his life's work in search of Silvia, his missing girlfriend. It didn't take long to connect the supernatural events of her disappearance with those of the Metro City cataclysm. But it took years to finalize his plan for vengeance: infiltrate the realm of Majigen, rescue his girlfriend, and put an end to Jedah Dohma himself. As always, there are complications to the plan, such as allowing himself to be killed and then resurrected into the form of a powerful winged gargoyle. And the fact that he might never find Silvia. And that his arch-nemesis is actually pretty powerful, even if you know his weaknesses. But, as far as Vas is concerned, love transcends all.
