Description: High in the mountaintops above the ancient oracle city of Delphi, psychic teen faces off against silent assassin and redhead wrassler in the ruined Temple of Apollo. But Alma's sunny mentality notwithstanding, the blessings of a dead god can bring him only a stylish showing -- not complete victory. (Winners: Rylee/Aislinn)
Absent from the last couple of weeks of Saturday Night Fights, the Silent Assassin had decided to make her return--and what a return it would be. When she received the fight card, she had to check it twice... and then she did some digging. Not much info on her teammate, 'Rylee'... But Alma. Alma is well known, and there's plenty of observational footage to be seen. And see it Aislinn did; if nothing else she prefers to be as prepared as possible for a fight like this. What she got out of the experience was that Alma is a competent fighter whose abilities cannot possibly be underestimated.
This... would be a tough fight. But, possibly, also educational--win or lose. Ai would also get to observe a new fighter, and that would be a special treat in and of itself.
So comes time for the match, and the setting is a spectacular one; Aislinn thinks to herself, as she strides slowly up the ramp leading past the stone pillars and into the temple proper, that it must have been an imposing, beautiful structure in its day. Truth enough that it is eerily stark and yet alive at the same time... though these are not observations that Aislinn is given to make. Hopefully, she thinks, wryly, someone has images of the Temple to reconstruct it after this battle is over.
She finds her way to her designated corner, possibly the first to arrive, scanning the ruins for possible places of advantage--loose bricks, places to force a mis-step, that kind of thing.
Europe has always been somewhere Rylee wanted to travel to one day. So many interesting and quirky countries to visit that she is certain she would have one hell of a time enjoying herself as she checked out each one. Of course this was something she didn't plan on being able to do for many a year to come given her usual small time winnings. Not a bad arrangement for a debut at all she thinks to herself. Not only has she gotten to enjoy a few days in Greece to check out the sights, but now she gets to be seen on television and get her first big break into her non-wrestling career.
That is probably why she has been waiting at the temple for many hours already. Long before the crews came to set things up the redhead was getting prepped for this fight. Of course alot of the training was light, but it was enough to get the blood flowing and get the Canadian focused on the task at hand. If she is teamed with someone to fight a single person this Alma fellow is probably a tough hombre at that. From what tapes she did find of him he seemed impressive enough, but viewing tapes can only show so much. Today she will really find out how tough Alma really is.
People that have come to watch have already been chatted up with the rather talkitive Rylee and as match time moved closer she has moved away to get more focused on the task at hand as she sits down on the ground indian style while working at taping up her wrists. She glances upwards towards Aislinn when she nears and gives her a curt nod in greeting before glancing back down. "Not done team stuff, but there is a first time for everything." she says to her partner then gets to her feet after tearing the roll of tape and tossing what is left back into her gym bag. "Let's beat his ass."
Magnificent.
Hands slipped inside pant pockets, the shadow of a tall figure, poised with back arched slightly, stands quietly on a large boulder overlooking the edge of the mountain. Though stark against the gleaming sunlight, he's difficult to spot -- simply because he's been still for so long.
The sunlight seems to gleam brighter in the cool mountain air, as though the crispness of the climate brings the world into focus. High above the treeline, the scattered shrubs and rocks in stark relief against the pale dirt, the ancient city of Delphi can be seen over the crest of the mountain ridge, once home to the famed oracle of Greek legend. Now such things are lost to time -- but here, with the world so dry and still and sharp, it's easy to forget. The thin air cuts deeply, cleaving through superficial thoughts and concerns, and maybe, maybe it's strong enough to cut right through the boundary between myth and reality, and take a person back to another time...
Alma takes a deep breath.
...if that person were willing.
In his first movement in the last forty-five minutes, the blond youth tilts his head back over his shoulder, looking down at the assembly finally gathering on the hillside far below. Bangs shading his expression of mild-eyed serenity, he gazes down at the circle of SNF officials and the two figures standing in the center of what was once the Temple of Apollo -- and then, slowly, he grins.
And leaps.
Soaring through the thin air lightly, long strides carrying him from boulder to boulder, Alma Towazu makes his way through toward the sacred place, the pillars growing closer and closer. A land of dead gods, a testament to a time long past-- he'll have more time for such things later. No skipping through time for him. He's got a job to do.
One final leap carries him up over the final ridge; if no one noticed his descent, it'd be quite a surprise to have the young fighting model just appear up from over the side of the bluff and onto the model. Despite the rapidity of his arrival, however, he looks unhurried, placidly elegant as always. His eyes travel once more throughout the ruins, just so that he can study the pillars up close for a moment, before finally settling on his opponents. He smiles mildly, eyes softening in a rather friendly manner. He seems in a good mood. Refreshed.
Well, looks like today it's that strange-aura girl and... somebody new. Hmm. Her aura doesn't look that exciting, but she looks pretty strong all the same. He won't take any chances. "Miss Doyle. Miss Ogden," he murmurs, nodding to both. "Good luck to the both of you..."
Settling down and running a hand through his hair casually, body relaxing and back straightening, the oddly serene youth seems content to just wait for his opponents to come to him. "Please... do your best."

Unfortunately for Rylee, Aislinn isn't as talkative, not nearly -- she's surprised to see the redhead there, but it is an approving sort of surprise. Rylee isn't a slacker, and she can appreciate that; Aislinn works hard every day of her life. Clearly the girl is serious about her fighting, and again--that's something Aislinn can appreciate. Still, maybe being at Gedo or just being around Kula and Candy is rubbing off on her; she offers Rylee a faint, if true, smile, and nods to her partner.
"Lets," she replies, then turns forward, facing towards Alma and merely awaiting the call of the start of the match. His springy, jumpy entrance? Aislinn looks completely unimpressed by it; she just shakes her head, glances over at Rylee, and then... then the announcer shouts, "FIGHT!"
And with that, the fight is on; Aislinn displays some speed of her own, kicking off, with a picturesque plume of dust, taking three long steps then skidding to a halt, transferring the momentum into a front kick, Aislinn's boot-tip aimed for Alma's stomach.
The lack of social ettiquette offered by her partner doesn't really seem to phase Rylee. She has dealt with enough of the anti-socialites that she could really not care. It is time to shut up and fight at this point anyways as Alma finally lets his presence be known. The redhead flips him a lazy wave before rolling her shoulders to loosen herself up. She is rather surprised at how fast Aislinn is ready to charge in though once the fight is called to start. Perhaps the other two fighters know eachother well enough they don't need time to take things slow and study one another for weaknesses.
Rylee just grins a bit and isn't too far behind the other woman as she too moves forward. She might not be as fast, but she seems to be taking her time to size up Alma as she approaches him. Not only that she needs time to see what exactly Aislinn might be aiming for so not to interfere with the other fighter's attack. Finally she comes in close enough to leap forward as well, but instead of leaping forward and into Alma she is leaping past him only to twist her body about after doing so to swing a powerful kick of her own right towards the back of Alma's head. "Kyah!"

Alma lunges forward immediately to meet Aislinn's advance, chin tilted downward and eyes intent. This is going to be interesting -- he's never actually faced off against the purple-haired girl, but he's worked with her before, and he knows that he has a hard time figuring out what exactly the changes in her aura indicate. It's... highly unfamiliar. But that shouldn't be too bad, as long as he's careful--
--and pays more attention to people coming at him from other sides.
The kick that slams into the back of his head stuns him for just long enough to stagger him forward and right into Aislinn's kick, promptly knocking him backward and causing him to lose his footing. Yet with typical grace, Alma tucks and rolls backward, eyes intent and face still composed. Rising into a crowd, he casts his hand off toward the red-haired girl and emits a burst of swirling white and purple fire, aiming to knock her back and away.
"Hmph!"
C'mon, Alma, you're not on the mountaintop anymore. Focus.
It isn't that she knows Alma--indeed, she's only met him once, though she was on his side that time. It's just... the way she is. All business once the fight starts. Studying the opponent certainly has its merits, but she wants a measure of his defenses first--a measure she gets, when her kick strikes true. It draws another faint smile from Aislinn, one which is extended in duration as she sees Rylee's back-brain kick fire off and also hit. She draws back, after her kick--until she sees that he's going for Rylee first. Well, that's fine with her; as for her part, -now- she takes some time--pulling her focus inwards, then placing it on Alma, her lavender eyes intensifying, narrowing, as her stare bores in on the young Hiten-Ryu Kung Fu artist. She'll be there in a moment, Rylee, don't worry.

The Canadian lands in a crouch looking pleased with how things are starting off at least. Of course things are taking a bit of a turn in her case at least as Alma turns his attention towards her. She is quick to stand up fully, but not quick enough to do that and try to sidestep to the right to avoid that nice gift that was sent her way. It does well in knocking her back as planned and it takes Rylee a moment to get back to her feet and clear the cobwebs after that one. She lets out a bit of a tch in annoyance and doesn't seem to be too intimidated by the move since she is coming back towards him not long after to reach for the offending arm that the blast game from to grab it and give it a twist as she uses her weight to turn and flip Alma right over her shoulder and onto the ground.

Maybe he just needed to shift gears. He had the clarity of mind, but had not yet shifted into the flow of battle, allowing his opponents to take the initiative; but the onset of pain swiftly brought that into focus. Alma feels the peaceful emptiness of mind that gives his spirit room to burn brightly -- and his senses shift to accomodate his new situation.
On the surface, this does not seem immediately apparent. In fact, Alma still seems a bit slow. When Rylee lunges, his hand does not retract even as he seems to withdraw, giving her more than enough time to latch hold and prepare to throw him. His windswept bangs shift then as he tilts his chin up, revealing both hazel eyes -- and the energy that's shimmering within them, a passionate brightness that contrasts with his calm expression. It's only then that the light shining there becomes reflected in a shimmering halo of power around the arm Rylee is gripping...
"Careful," he murmurs.
The piercing lance of soulfire focused into pure light tears visibly into Rylee's torso, searing her mind with the sensation of burning and disorienting her psyche in the manner that only Psycho Power can. Even if the fire is somehow an 'illusion', however, the force is definitely real, and it's enough to carry his opponent back and away -- farther this time.
Alma rises fully and tilts his face toward his waiting opponent, looking at Aislinn with a mildly curious expression.
Internally, see, Aislinn is wincing for Rylee. The counter-attack that Alma launched couldn't've been fun to deal with at all; she'll have to remember to watch out for that. Now, then, however, it's her turn to attack again; and now... he's staring at her. Hmmmph.
Aislinn closes her eyes a moment, focusing her calculations, then moves in again, her stance much like a Tae Kwon Do fighters; her feet sweep back and forth, her torso twisting as she scuttles in. As she nears, she feints with a pair of left hand jabs, but the real attack is a kick combination, a low shin kick then a high snap kick aimed for the shoulder.
As she kicks, suddenly, there's a flare of energy, and red-white electricity is crackling around the attacking foot.
Getting a good grapple on someone like Alma seems like it might prove to be difficult. Such a simple throw turns into a disaster on her end and the Canadian is left looking a bit perplexed at first and then quite pained soon after she feels the powerful shot that stings at her. She tumbles across the hard ground again and just lays there a moment to catch her breath. This sort of thing is nothing like anything she has had to deal with before and it stings like hell so far, but the fight is young and she just can't lay there. Not when her partner finally seems to be making a move.
At least with his backed turned she might be able to get something going. Of course at this point she is expecting the guy to have eyes in the back of his head given what he can do already. She waits for Aislinn to strike and as soon as that last kick is lashed out Rylee is quick to jump onto Alma's back and wrap her legs around her waist. Her harms seek to grab at one of Alma's own and twist it about to get a firm triangle choke locked in to put pressure on his shoulder as well as make it harder to breathe.

He really can't let things continue like this.
Even with his senses tuned to their actions, there's only so much he can do to maneuver out of the way of their attacks if he allows them to come at him from both sides. His hands lift in an effort to stop Aislinn's jabs only to realize just in time that they are feints -- but he's forced to duck as Rylee leaps at him, crouching low and avoiding her throw attempt. This only leads him directly into Aislinn's low kick, and while he manages to control his stagger enough to get him safely out of the way of any further grapple attempts, Aislinn's follow-up high kick grazes his shoulder as well, snapping the tall boy's body to the side.
Gritting his teeth, Alma makes a spirited effort to escape the pincer attack that this has become by suddenly lunging forward, knee rising in typical Hiten-Ryu style but only so that he can gather more momentum to lash out in a fierce straight punch toward Aislinn's face. The halo of light that's beginning to suffuse him leaves a faint pale purple blur behind him.
If he succeeds in hitting her, he'll drive right past -- well, through -- her and out to the edge of the ruined temple floor. Hopefully, bright-eyed Alma will then be able to turn and face both his opponents at once.

Purple blur or not, Alma's punch rebounds off of Aislinn's upraised forearms; the impact forces her back a half-step but no further. However, she does duck down from it, to help absorb the energy, and thus lets him past her; no big deal, she figures, as she rises, looking unconcerned about Alma's positioning.
A twitch of the head to the side and Aislinn finds Rylee, checking her partner's condition visually--then she turns her attention back to Alma. As far as she's concerned, being at the edge of the 'arena' is probably worse, as they can still close in on him from both sides--but at this moment, she isn't closing in at all. Rather, her stance settles, and she seems to draw in on herself for a moment. Chi energy ripples around her, invisibly, flowing into her, tightening her muscles like an electric shock...

As far as she's concerned, being at the edge of the 'arena' is probably worse, as they can still close in on him from both sides--as demonstrated, with Aislinn suddenly darting to her side, moving at an oblique angle... as she dashes, she dips low, coming up with a piece of brick from the temple... and she attempts to show Alma enlightenment in the form of the earth, flinging the oddly-shaped missile so that it spins end over end.
There is a slight curse that comes from Rylee's clenched teeth when Alma manages to slip away to where she can't get a good chance to lock in her move on him. He is doing pretty damn well given the odds, but she doubts he would put himself in this sort of situation unless he was confident in his abilities as a fighter. Or well....he could be fucking nuts. All that stuff could really be valid, but in the end her goal is just to get him to stop moving. Since getting a good grip on him seels like a bad idea at this time then she should probably just what worked initially and just use her feet instead of her hands.
His attention is still partially on Aislinn, but he does have a bit better positioning so she can't really hope to find a good blindspot like she could earlier. So while Aislinn flings debris at Alma, Rylee is rushing forward again to aim low and avoid being hit by what was thrown by her partner. She ends up leaping forward and pushing her legs out slam into the shins of Alma and if she manages to knock him forward she will catch his chin right on her knees.

"Tch..."
There's no time. Alma tilts his body and allows the brick to explode against one side of his rib cage, showing nothing in response but a slight tightening around his eyes. Fine, so he's focusing his attention on Rylee's attack this time-- but Aislinn makes a fair point. What good is it going to do him, now that he's backed up against the side of the arena like this?
Lifting his arms by his sides in an oddly dancelike gesture, Alma satisfies your curiosity by bending his knees, sweeping his hands down, and leaping straight into the air. Evading Rylee kick with his airborne acrobatics, the tall fighting model tilts back gracefully and flips full-circle almost lazily, finally settling gently at the top of one of the pillars that still surround the temple proper. Highlighted by sunbeams, Alma looks down at his opponents, his lips parting as he inhales deeply of the chill air and raises his right hand slowly -- and clenches it, his aura exploding into visibility around him. Streams of reddish gold tinged with veins of purple and pink dance in a prismatic phantasm around his tall frame, gleaming brightly as though fed by the sun behind him.
Here's to you, Apollo.
He leaps then, high into the air, and tucks and flips once-- before, with an explosion of the flame he trails, suddenly rocketing down at the marble paves before Aislinn and punching the ground fiercely. Somehow, the marble does not crack; but the force soon reveals itself as a geyser of swirling pink and purple that surges up and aims to blast the girl off her feet -- and maybe even send her tumbling off the side of the ravine for a bit if she can't control her fall.

There is, even for Aislinn, a sense of what Alma intends to do--she's no psion, but the same things that let her sense chi give her a hint of premonition.
Unfortunately, a hint isn't -nearly- enough; before she can do anything, the geyser of energy is erupting, and--
Maybe, she thinks, she can just withstand it--but she's -wrong-, horribly so. She's launched into the air like a missile, her body steaming with excess energy, wisping off her like she were a steamed hot dog. Her plummet is just as bad, and she lands hard--but still within the temple grounds.
At least she didn't shriek like a girl, that would have been embarrassing. After a few moments, she rises up onto her feet... and shudders, once, before doing her best to re-collect herself and regain some measure of thought... then she's -really- angry, deep inside, and she manipulates her own anger into a sense of focus.
That means... she -really- wants to hurt Alma.

Even if his quickness is getting on Rylee's nerves a tad, she has to admit he is handling this type of situation well. She certainly couldn't says he would do better if having to face people two vs one. Handicap matches just aren't her forte and she is thankful that she is part of the team this time around. She quickly kips back up to her feet to turn around in time to see that rather colorful display of Alma's and once again Rylee counts herself rather lucky to be the one that didn't get nailed with whatever the hell he just did.
Given that all three of them are looking worse for wear now, Rylee is just more motivated to keep at Alma and hoping for him to mess up in his actions. Of course sneaking up would be a good idea, but given the rather loud yell from the redhead that won't be happening. She is looking to plow right into Alma's back and knock him to the ground. If she can even get that far her legs look to tangle up one arm and her own arm seeks to pull back on a leg in a half crab while driving her knee right into the spine of the model for extra pressure.

"Huh--!"
Alma knows that once Aislinn regains her composure, nothing good's going to be coming from her corner, but he has no time to take advantage of her disorientation. With everything still in searingly clear focus after his mighty expression of battle passion, Alma's able to sense Rylee's attack as it comes again and twist, but not in time to get a clear evasion. Still, he prevents her from hitting him in the back, and though her opening lunge sends him back a step despite a full-on guard -- she really is stronger than she looks! -- the handsome youth manages to keep his footing and escapes any serious damage.
The red-haired wrassler might not be so lucky, though. Alma exits his guard position by fiercely pushing forward, thrusting Rylee back and possibly unbalancing her with his sudden ferocity. Whether or not she's actually staggered, his burst of momentum seems to carry him up into the air; knee rising with the shove, he leaps up, spinning once in midair. As he spins, purplish soulfire is kindled around his right leg, and he seems to slow for a moment, as though his surge of power is taking something from the sacred space itself.
But it's just the calm before the storm, for that strange slowness becomes a sudden explosion of movement as Alma blurs out with a hooking roundhouse kick, a midair soulfire-enhanced assault that aims to strike Rylee fiercely on the side of the head and send her spiralling to the ground.
And while Alma is dealing with Rylee's pressuring technique, and then counterattacking, Aislinn has finished clearing her head and focusing herself and now she's got blood in her eyes, so to speak.
Without any loss of mobility or speed from the damage she took, she darts across the temple grounds again, seeking to take out Alma -- she can't reach him before he's attacked Rylee again, so she arrives just after, leaping forwards and slicing her legs through a series of kicks in mid-air.
It's right leg first, scything out in a sweeping, flying roundhouse, and then it looks like Aislinn must've taken a page out of the Kyokugenryuu handbook because then she's coming around for a reverse roundhouse with her left--and finally, before she lands, one last right roundhouse kick, to leave her in her right-leading stance.

Oddly enough when Alma tries to push forward, Rylee attempts to do much the same, though she underestimates the model's own strength and she gets rather overwhelmed by his assault that slams into her head and sends her to the ground once again and leaving her feeling really woozy at this point. She sits up eventually and she spits a small stream of blood and rubs at the side of her head as she gets back to her feet with a grunt. "Fucker...." she mutters then gives a wide grin. "Ahh well, may as well keep at it."
She does just that too as she m oves in to once again help Aislinn take down the model. Although it's pretty classy that Alma's desperate attempts to keep two opponents at bay seem to be working, now managing to keep only one opponent on her feet and fighting at any given moment, there's no way the young man can keep it up for long -- Champion of Virtue or no.
A droplet of sweat traces its way around one high cheekbone as Alma twists as soon as he lands after his assault, brow furrowed and jaw clenched with the obvious effort of keeping track the both of them; this time, though, he's simply not fast enough. He brings up his arms to defend against his fully prepared and oncoming purple-haired opponent, but Aislinn's kicks simply tear through his weakened guard and pop the tall young man into the air, leaving him vulnerable for the series of attacks that follow. Dazed and fatigued, warm eyes now hazy, Alma is sent flying right into Rylee's welcoming embrace. Nice teamwork, girls; is this the clincher?
Not quite.
It looks great at first. The fire-haired fighter achieves a firm grip on her taller opponent and is able to leap off the ground impressively, flipping around once and preparing to slam him headfirst onto the ground-- until both their descents are halted as Alma, bursting from his stunned reverie, slams his palms on the ground in an impromptu handstand. Twisting dramatically with a savage grace, Alma shifts his hands to spiral mid-handstand and manages to shake his opponent's grip -- but that's just the beginning. If Rylee doesn't escape the ensuing cyclone of upside-down model, she'll find herself the target of a lashing flame-shrouded kick to her side as Alma uses his other foot to right himself... and transition directly into a fearsome and unrelenting series of punches and kicks, his burning eyes matching the intensity of the flames that cloak his limbs.
"Urrrryaaaaaahhhh!"
Roaring with the proud defiance of a lion, Alma makes a last-ditch comeback effort to take Rylee down once and for all.
It's impressive, to say the least, that Alma is still up; he's taken quite a beating in this fight, and his resilience is to be admired, praised even.
After the fight. If Aislinn were the type to praise anyone. Which she isn't, so that's just not going to happen. Instead, she pursues once again--once again, not able to get to Alma before he can makes his attempt on Rylee--she takes two steps then leaps forward, attempting to grab Alma's shoulders. If she gets the grip, she actually performs a handstand for a second, then flips herself downward and drives her feet right into Alma's stomach, possibly folding him nearly in half.

Well that is a first and probably the most creative way Rylee can see someone countering that sort of move. It certainly leaves her befuddled enough that her grip eases for Alma to get the upper hand. And while Rylee tries to get away, she is just in a bad position to where that isn't really possible and she is caught full force by his attack. He just hits way too hard for her to keep taking such punishment. Her damn body doesn't even really want her to move, but she manages to get herself to start sitting up as Aislinn comes in to strike Alma. Rylee never really gets to her feet, but she does try to get to where she can reach for Alma and drag him down by the arm to clamp it between her legs and lock her arms around his chin as she rolls backwards slightly to put alot of pressure onto the lower back of the model. It isn't a hold she keeps long though, a few seconds and she is just too tired to keep it locked in and the redhed is soon would release and slump over.
COMBATSYS: Rylee can no longer fight.

Aislinn 1/---====/=======|==-----\-------\0 Alma
Although Alma's fierce attack is his last true expression of power, he's able to use the momentum to carry himself away from Rylee's last-ditch attempt to grapple him, and he leaves the redhead on the marble where she lies. But he's way too fatigued at this point to be able to deal with an aura as unusual as Aislinn's, not to mention have his body react to the silent assassin's speed. She gets the grip on his shoulders, and the fighting model draws back his hand to react, but her attack is too quick and she's able to hit him heavily with her knee before he can make his move.
Winded and overwhelmed, Alma simply collapses to his knees before the purple-haired girl, her hands still clenched around his shoulders. But even as his head slumps, the hand he drew back crackles with one final burst of raw psychic power; unwilling to go down without fully expressing all that he has to offer, Alma cuts loose with the last of his energy and lashes out, aiming to hit the girl while she remains close.
But whether he hits or misses, he'll just try to stay on his knees, eventually slumping forward onto his palms and revealing that, regrettably, he's got nothing more left to offer now.
COMBATSYS: Alma can no longer fight.

Aislinn 1/-======/=======|
Once again, Aislinn is forced to deal with Psycho Power--she doesn't much like it, mind you, though the sting is not as bad as could be expected. NESTS did their job; her mind is not disorganized or easily susceptible to mental assault, comparatively.
Still she steps back, absorbing that burst of energy, enduring the pain it brings; she can see that Alma is finished, and Rylee is out for the count as well. So it goes, of the three fighters, only Aislinn is left standing. A win, it seems, and so it is announced by the attendant emcee, to the wild cheering of the fans--as un-empathetic as Aislinn is, she made a good showing, as did both Alma and Rylee. There's no reason for them -not- to cheer. And it warms Aislinn's heart to hear it. Perhaps the first beginnings of understanding why some fighters do this... but she won't let it get to her.
As the medics rush on, to tend to the fighters, Aislinn walks off, down that ramp, once more... NESTS has their own medics. But she stops, and turns, gazing at the entryway, the pillars, broken... and she nods.
It was a good fight, and now, having had Alma's measure, it'll be time to write some reports for NESTS. Psionic power is something NESTS is lacking in, after all, both in knowledge and practical experience. And... she won. That doesn't suck.
"Hey..."
Too late. The light's fading. All he can see now is the silhouette of a girl disappearing between the ruined temple's pillars.
"Wait..."
And now, nothing at all.
"...who are you...?"
