SNF 2005.10 - Mimiru vs Tran

Description: It's got Mimiru! It's got Tran! It had a blank description when it was submitted! Yaaay! (Winner: Tran)

It's been so long since Mimiru's been to Metro City she has almost forgotten how it used to be. Her memories are pretty fuzzy, after all, she's been only here during the early years of her life. Never without her canine friend, Mimiru's having a stroll through the city. It's still very early and her fight isn't scheduled for this early -- it's supposed to happen much later but it doesn't change the fact that Howard's compagny has set up all the cameras and everything for when her fight's supposed to happen.

Why is Mimiru here if it's not the time for her fight? Exploring. This used to be her hometown and she definately never expected to actually come here again in her life. Even if the area is partially 'parasited' by the Howard's compagny, there's still people coming back and forth from the subways. It's normal, after all, this is generally the prime time of the day for things like that.

Heaving a soft sigh, Mimiru lowers one hand and she ruffles her canine's head gently and says, lips curling into a wide grin, "Heh... Been a while, isn't it Max? I don't think you've ever been here..."
In sharp contrast, it hasn't been very long for Tran at all. Heck, he was trying to run away from everything here, start fresh and get a new handle on things. Sort of ironic, then, that his method of doing so involves coming back so soon. Still, Metro City is a big place, where you can easily slip away in the crowd from people you used to know.
So it is that Tran's only slightly uneasy as he comes to what is pretty much the main method of transportation through Metro City. Lots of people pass through. If he's lucky, too many for certain people he knows to even realize he was there, before he's off to the rest of the world again. Still, this is SNF; in his own way, Tran is deeply committed to giving a good fight, not just out of a sense of pride, but also out of a sense of showmanship.
And it's with that purpose in mind, the desire to make things just a little bit flashier than usual, that Tran is here early, scoping out the battlefield, so to speak. The trains are a good start, lots of pipes could make things interesting - he may not be able to directly control whatever's in them, but there are ways to work around that. There's plenty of opportunity, plenty of possibility here, just waiting for Tran to take hold of it! In fact, so focused is Tran, that he doesn't actually realize Mimiru got there before him. If he had, he might very well recognize her from past SNF tapes. But he doesn't, so it's a bit moot.
Mimiru's not here for the show -- she isn't here for the fighting either -- she's here for the money. More money to put into her precious jar! That'll make her sleep even better at night. Gathering more money and saving it without ever spending it. There's not much logic to it, but the pleasure one can feel when they dip their toes into a jar full of money paper, the feeling of it against your skin and the lovely scent, that sweet aroma that tickles your nostrils, it's not comparable to any kind of shameful pleasure. This one has to be the first best thing in the whole world!

Guess things like that happens when little girls win incredibly and ludicrously high sum of money. Since Mimiru's fighting style is all about not getting beaten on, she's not really one of the most out-standing fighter in the tournament. So if Mimiru isn't really an experienced fighter... Is she here to assess the field? Not really... Is she here for an early battle? Not really either... she's just here to get a feel of the city once again. Might as well enjoy her free trip to Metro City.

And so, in all the crowd, the little girl doesn't pay much attention to where she's going. Unlike Tran, Mimiru has -no- idea who she is going to fight. She knows by name but that's all. She's pretty hard to spot in this crowd anyway, however, call it fate or destiny, while Mimiru's attention is a split on her dog and where she's actually going, she actually bumps right into Tran's back. At full velocity. Well as high as a girl walking can't get. Right into Tran's back. Odds are that he won't bulge too much, and that has more or less the trampoline effect on Mimiru.... And so, she staggers back not to lose her balance. She blinks a few times and raises her gaze up to Tran, "Heh! Watch where you're going, big guy!" She calls out to him. Always the big mouth..
where
The money's also a very good motivator, yes. Nothing really gets someone going like receiving a lot of money for a little bit of work. It's the American Dream, and Tran is so American it hurts! He's in fact considering this when Mimiru bumps into him.
Not exactly a big man, by any stretch of the imagination, it's little wonder than Tran essentially puffs up like some sort of fish at being called a big guy. He's still quite a bit bigger than Mimiru, though. So let's call this one fate.
Swinging around toward Mimiru with a grin on his face, his surroundings already forgotten, Tran starts in with his equally big, if not bigger, mouth. "Watch where I'm going? Hah! A behemoth like me shouldn't have to! Maybe you should watch where YOU'RE going, little girl! Don't you know that I, the incredible, the amazing, the spectacular Dr. Tran, am fighting here later today? S'true, s'true. I wouldn't be surprised if you heard of me, in fact. I'm already practically a minor celebrity, you know." Oh, how he can prattle and boast.
Now that's definately something. Mimiru was more expecting just a little polite bow and some apologizes but no, seems like this guy likes to talk back to cute little girls such as herself. Alas, she failed to intimidate him with her flood of remorses and that seems to surprise the girl who blinks a couple of time at Tran's speech.

However, she's not about to call it a defeat just yet! With a snort, Mimiru rests her hands on her hips and she lets out a slight 'tss' out of her throat as she turns her gaze away from Tran for a moment. She then lifts one hand up over to Tran and she actually taps his chest a couple of time with her finger, as if accusingly poking him for being in her way. "You're no big deal! Man, look at yourself, you're all tall and way too stiff, that just won't do. And way too old, how do you expect to keep up with 'real' fighters? You should be retired by now, you don't have a chance, Mister spectacular." Mimiru says as she sticks her tongue out a bit at Tran.

Mimiru's lips curl into a grin and she beams to Tran, "I'll let you know your opponent is none other than myself! You won't be able to keep up, old man! You're out of your league. I dare you to just even -try- to keep up with me and not having a heart failure, heheh." Of course, Tran isn't really... Old. But it looks like that he is by Mimiru's standards.

"Kick his ass, Mimiru." Familiar voice? Walking through the subway is none other than the trenchcoated blond youth, Jiro Kasagi. He's followed by a few dogs and cats. But... that's not all. He brought a young man around his age, chocolate brown skinned with hair put in cornrolls. The young man is dressed in a blue jersey top and a pair of jeans. Kyle Wolfe.
Next to the young man is a small tall girl, wearing a midriff and a pair of tight blue jeans. Black long hair, light brown skin. Shermika Wolfe.
"I brought you some fans." Jiro mentions with a smirk, "So kick his ass, sis."

Calling Tran big is one thing, but calling him old is another. He's practically floored. "O...old?" Speechless for a moment, his jaw works soundlessly as he struggles for adequate words. The only that comes is a decidely more outraged "Old!? OLD!?"
Another moment of righteous indignation, and Tran seems to have recovered himself enough to properly retort. "I am not old! I'm 23 years old! The prime of my life! Just because a bratty little girl like yourself doesn't know talent when she sees it doesn't mean I'm old!" He sticks his finger right up in Mimiru's face, nearly touching her nose. "I'm glad you're my opponent, because otherwise my concience wouldn't allow me to beat on a little girl, but you've got it coming to you! I'm going to smack you around so hard you'll think one of the trains hit you!"
He abruptly turns about throwing up his hands over his head. "In fact, screw waiting. We're starting, right now. Get the cameras rolling, let's get this show on the road! Right now, I don't care if it's early!" He doesn't even bother facing Jiro, instead just pointing a finger out to the side. "It figures you'd be rooting for her, you punkass kid! You all must band together or something, coordinate to make sure one of you is pissing me off whenever possible. I swear, I can't go a week without one of you coming along and ruining a perfectly good mood!"

The little girl blinks a few times at Tran's exclamation and she folds her arms in front of her chest, turning slightly on her heels away from the pointing finger, "Ah, yeah, right, prime of your age, forget it, that's way behind you. You're an old geeyser when it comes to fighting, you missed the boat, man, you're just out of it and can't accept it." Mimiru says. She lifts one hand up and presses a finger to her cheek and she merely sticks her tongue out at Tran.

"Right, you're going to be waaaaay too slow to actually even hit me. So keep dreamings, but don't keep your hopes too high, I'd hate to break an old man's heart." Mimiru's eyes than ventures off toward the familiar voice, letting Tran ramble off and get things started for the cameras and all.

The sight is enough to bring a smile to Mimiru's lips. She tilts her head to one side and she gives her brother and Kyle and his sister a thumbs up, "You got it bro, he'd better wake up early if he wanted to have a chance to even graze me, look me going, by the end he'll be out of breath so much I'm gonna make him run around."

Glancing back over to Tran, Mimiru calls out, "So! You going to start it already? If we wait much longer you may get old enough not to be able to see me move if it goes on like that, heheh."

Jiro lifts his hand up, then he throws Tran the middle finger before he puts both of his hands into his pocket. A shrug is given "What can I say? It's a Kasagi trait."
He folds his arms, forming a scowl on his face, "Don't underestimate himself too much. He uses steam-based chi. It's quite strong, all considering." He shrugs, "Otherwise, good luck."
"Kick his ass, kiddo," says Kyle.
Shermika smiles, "Mimiru! Show him what you can do!"

Well not everyone here wants Tran to get absolutely destroyed. Kai Gabriel, who finds herself someplace back in the crowd in a white outfit that looks something of a hybrid of a nun outfit and a catholic school girl outfit. . only with a sheath and no sword *glares at Jiro* finds herself standing back and watching with less rile.
"Good luck Tran-san, Mimiru-san," she says in a voice that is so empty of actual feeling that it's awfully hard to tell if she means it (protip: probably not).

Oh, that is it. Tran's the one who's supposed to be doling out the smacktalk, not some punk little girl who can't even manage to keep her tongue in her mouth! "I'm going to make you eat those words! All of them! Even if I have to get a notebook, write them all down in it, and then cram it down your throat!"
He grabs at his sunglasses, tucking them away into a pocket inside his coat. Hmph. It's not fair. Here he is, clearly the AWESOMEST FIGHTER EVER, and yet here's Mimiru with her own little cheering section. Well, bah! Feh! He grunts irately, barely managing to keep himself from just randomly cursing in anger.
Still, he's got to channel that anger somewhere. "I'm not going to stop there, though! I'm going to broil you like a sassy little lobster! The only difference is that you're not enough of a threat to have rubber bands on your hands!" Well, that, and he has no plans for consumption. That'd make him an old creepy guy, no matter what his age.
Still, Tran's not thinking of that, instead just trying to calm himself down and get a handle on the situation. He knows full well that getting super-pissed to the point of not-thinking will only hurt him, here. So it is that he points straight at Mimiru. "Come on. Just try attacking me. I'll show you how stupid you're being!"

Turning her gaze away from the man, Mimiru merely lifts one hand up and she idly waves it about dissimingly, "Look at that, old man's just talking more and more, eh, here I thought you would have at least started off with something and prove you're not a slowpoke, well then, if you want to play it like that, fine, big guy, let's see if you can keep up with youth."

Lips curling into a smile, Mimiru kneels slightly, only to be by the side of her dog, almost blending in with his furr if one's staring at the pair from the right angle and so, when the dog canine actually barks and dashes straight, so does Mimiru!

Here she comes, though she's not alone. At least the threat of the dog actually interfering's always there, but would it really? Is it even against the rules? Mimiru, herself, decides to go for a swift attacking, hoping the distraction from the dog may just split Tran's attention and make it harder for him to follow around. How is this fight really starting? Well nothing like the good old classic of fist fights.

Of course, the dog's barks get the attention of the rest of the crowd around, and considering this -is- a quite earlier fight than planned, there,s still by-standers here and there. Oh well, that just makes up more obstables and tool to use for the fight. And liven things up a lot.

No matter how Tran actually reacts to the incoming punches, by either dodging or blocking them, Mimiru is merely attempting to seize an opportunity for a slight opponening, and during the momemtum of her assault, a quick punch turns into something much difference, the quintessence of one's fighting spirit, as the girl's fist glows for a moment, as if filling up with energy. She throws it off at Tran, attempting, hopefully, that unlike the other ones, this one may just sneak by his guard and hit him, unleashing a burst of chi energy at the apex of her strike, empowering what at first might have seemed like an harmless palm prodding.

Watching the fight start, Jiro snorts, "This guy still talks a lot of shit." Tch. Shrugging once more, then he says, "Go Mimiru!" With Kyle and Shermika cheering along with Jiro, Mimiru has the support that she can get.

Slowpoke, huh? Well, Tran might not be the quickest fighter around, it's true. Hell, not by a longshot. But that doesn't mean he can't move quickly when he has to. "Try to keep up yourself, you punk kid! Just because you're a little girl doesn't mean I'm going to go easy on you, especially not with all the trash you've been talking!"
And despite appearances, Tran's a smart guy - he knows how to pay attention, even when he's so furious it seems like his vision should be all red. More importantly, he knows how to use what he's learned from watching, and the brief moments between the start of Mimiru's attack and the finish hold a wealth of information for a learned man like himself.
The dog? Well, Dr. Tran can't do much about the dog right now, hoping that he's right in thinking it's more of a distraction than a genuine assault. Mimiru, now. Mimiru's where he's keeping his focus, and it pays off. Spotting the glow around her fist, Tran's hands snap out in front of him, steam shooting in between them, his anger helping the process along considerably, before solidifying into a flat, dully reflective oval. He puts it right in the way of Mimiru's energy, and like magic, the stuff bounces of it, shooting right back into Mimiru.
\ t Tran takes the opportunity to stand up straight, grinning at Mimiru. "What's that about being slow? About not hitting you? Yeah, that's what I /thought/! HAH!"

Well it seems like Tran's able to keep up with the little girl's quick assault. He doesn't fall in for the quick series of punches, avoiding them or blocking them harmlessly -- though it doesn't matter because the real's stuff about to come. Mimiru's lips curl into a smile as she lets out a little shout when she hurls her fist over Tran, only to have her palm impact against that opaque oval barrier that seems to have crystallized before Tran's body. Mind you, Mimiru's Angel Palm isn't a projectile. While it doesn't bounce back at her, the oval created by Tran merely absorbs the energy and just makes it burst back outward, having the opposite force effect.

In the end, what makes most only bulge slight is enough to actually knock Mimiru off -- her own spirital power added to Tran's own one heightens the strenght of her first attack and it quite literally knocks Mimiru back, enough for her to fall right on her back, legs lifting up some. Thanks to her jujitsu training though, she manages to catch that painful back, literally using the force that knocked her back to roll over on her back, with the help of her hands, she just gives herself a slight push to just throw herself back even more instead of completing the roll and getting on her knees... And so, Mimiru just flies off a few more feets before she lands on her feet, sliding a bit on the ground as one hand reaches the ground to make sure she doesn't lose her balance. A nice catch, a bit painful, that's sure, but at least a nice catch. Thankfully, the people behind Mimiru thought about moving.

Not letting the beat of the battle slow down for a second, intending on wearing him down, Mimiru's lips curl into a smile and she says, "Not too bad for an old timer. We're just getting warmed up though, I'd be pretty eager to see if you can actually keep up with me..."

Her eyes than darts over toward one of the subway train that just happened and, instead of rushing head on and get too much damaged, she decides to do just what she thought. She whistles a bit, to have Max get the hint and she actually takes a dash right for the subway train to get inside of it, maybe to pass through it, going through the crowd of people to dodge them and slip underneath them if needs be. Her size can always be of some help! Let's just go some place where she'll be at her advantage.

COMBATSYS: Mimiru takes no action.

And with Mimiru going backwards, Tran lets his little mirror dissipate, fading away into nothing in but a moment. He's already a lot happier with the way this is going - so far, it seems like Mimiru doesn't have much to back up her boasting, and that suits him fine.
Still, hang on a tic - she's running? That just won't do at all. He immediately goes into pursuit. Again, he's not terribly fast, but he's agile enough when it counts. Still, there's little doubt in his mind that Mimiru can keep ahead of him. He's not a runner. Therefore, he needs a way to slow her down, and he already has something in mind. It's a bit risky, what with things being crowded like they are, but what's life without a little bit of risk.
With a surge of chi, Tran forms a small, thin boomerang out of steam, sending it arcing around behind Mimiru. At the same time, he angles toward a different subway door, instead of following right behind her, like his boomerang happens to be doing. When he's through, if he can catch a solid glimpse of her? Bam, another small steam boomerang goes flying her way.
He grins to himself. This is the way to chase after someone!

Off the little girl goes into the subway train. It may be hard to keep up with her, it appears she's quite talented at slalooming through hordes of people, thankfully, things seem to calm down a bit and people actually move aside when they notice there's at least two weirdos who are coming along and fighting each other -- not to mention one of them is able to manipulate steam like some sort of magical power or inner talent.

The first arc of steam that is hurled her way is barely avoided by the young girl. Coincidence? Part of the show to make it more exciting? Or just to raise her own adrenaline? At least it's enough to make things more intense as it slams into the train without damaging it(Or would it?). Even as Tran actually gets the chance to fire off another boomrang of steam her way, she quite literally makes a slide down on the ground, avoiding the other chi object which barely grazes her once more. Talk about some luck.

The girl then turns on the ground slightly, using the end of this wagon to give her a slight boost to dash straight for Tran. Alas! Poor Mimiru leaves herself open while she makes up the distance that seperates the two fighters...

But then! Max interfers! With a whistle from Mimiru, the dog gets the hint and while Tran probably wasn't paying attention to the canine, it happened not to be too far off. It leaps straight for his back, right on him, claws raking his backs and fangs attempt to get a hold of him, the massive dog clinging to him. He shouldn't be too hard to shake off, but by the time it happens, Mimiru had the chance to get right by Tran and she's here to help her dog!

Swiftly, the girl attempts to get a hold of Tran's limbs or clothes, an attempt to actually grapple him...

Mimiru           0/-------/---====|==-----\-------\0             Tran

With Max, her faithful canine, no longer on Tran's back, either because it got the hint and leapt off the man's back once Mimiru got a hold of him or because Tran was able to shake him off, Mimiru turns around and presses her hips and waist to his, bending down slightly as she gets a hold of him and quite literally forces the guy off the ground as he gets on her back.

With a growl, Mimiru than uses the power of rotation along with anime physics to hurl Tran over herself, though instead of smashing him in the ground as she usually does, she uses the momemtum to quite literally smash him against the controller's door. She's on fire, really, so much that it almost seems to end in a rather harash tackle against the door.

Though thankfully, she lets go of Tran after that and she actually beams a bit. She doesn't attack him though, seeing how the space is rather restricted and instead, she just staggers back and observes him recovering, "How's that! Old man! Fast enough for you? Come on, try to touch me! Ahaha!" And with that, with one of Max's bark, the girl dashes off at the other end of the train. Thankfully, by now, people started leaving the train and it's mostly empty.

Hrm, so that is what Mimiru has been doing. Quite interesting tactic. Jiro smirks while both Tran and Mimiru are going at it.
...and her dog jumps in. Snort. Jiro says, "Heh, Max listens to her nicely. She doesn't have the kinship to all animals as I do, but both Kyle and Shermika keep cheering the young girl on.
Both dogs and cats let loose thier calling. Dogs barking and cats meowing, the cheers for Mimiru. Jiro claps his hands, anticipating what Mimiru is doing.
She throws the guy into the main room. Jiro pauses, "...Why do I -not- like what's going to happen...?" He gives a sigh, watching the people leaving the train.

Impertinence! First, Mimiru has the nerve to get away scot free from his attack, and then her dog gets on him? Well, maybe it wasn't such a good idea to more or less completely ignore the dog, after all, because Dr. Tran is now officially stuck like a pig.
Effectively immobilized, he has no way to get away, and no time to even start to build an effective defense against Mimiru. "Wh-HEY!" The only thing he really manages to get out before he goes crashing into the door with a grunt of pain. Oof.
On the ground now, and plenty irate again, Tran glares after the fleeing Mimiru. "This isn't a marathon! At least stay over here while I beat you into paste, damn it!" Her cheering section, faintly heard, doesn't help matters, either. With an angry sigh, he comes back up onto his feet and charges after Mimiru, trying to tackle her from behind. If can catch up in time, he'll just go ahead and press down on her, hard, and make like a steam iron. Except Mimiru is not clothes. Maybe she'll end up wrinkle free, anyway.

And that slam in the door happens to be quite literally -through- the door. Hence why Tran finds himself on the ground. The door gets knocked back into the control room and his added weight to it must definately not do much good to the control pannel. Just as he gets back on his feet though, the train actually trembles for a moment as it's set in motion... Though does either of the warrior actually notice or care? Probably not. They're just caught in the sway of battle, in the intense passion of their fists and the fight at hand! It's not a train bulging and starting to move that will stop them! At least, it might just get the whole crowd of fans away... And it may just make the task just that much harder for the camera-men who actually happen to be quite in the way in the middle of the wagons. In fact, the guys just let out a little scream as both Mimiru and Tran are dashing their way and it takes them all to avoid the pair, especially as Tran attempts to tackle Mimiru. They even have to get up on the benches not to be in the way of the little girl, her dog and the adult fighter.

Mimiru makes her way as quickly as possible for the other, intending to switch wagons, perhaps to give an easier time to the camera-men who are following them. However, the fact that she opens the door gives Tran all the time he needs to catch up with Mimiru. Oh no! She's left wide open for the attack and has no time to actually move out of the way!

That's where Max comes in once more! Before Tran can tackle her down into the ground, the large dog actually bites the fabric of Mimiru's top, from behind and he leaps off out away from harm, letting Tran tackle nothingness. Where did she go? Well she's no longer in that wagon or the connecting one... Nope. In fact, Max got her all the way up on the top of the train! How did that happen? Well Max is a magically anime dog. He can just do things like that.

Letting go of her, Mimiru grimaces a bit and she forces herself back on her feet, the air distortion causes her clothes to flap against the air harshly, same for her raven locks and from her standpoint now, from afar, she just grins at Tran and she says, "Ahaha! Way too slow, man! See? You're getting too old for this, give up, you can't even touch me. Heheh, I wonder if you even have it in you to come up here." She says, resting her hands on her waist some, as if to see if he'll dare to get the ladder to climb up to reach for her. However, knowing of his throwing objects capabilities, Mimiru decides to actually run off to get in the middle of the train's top.

COMBATSYS: Mimiru takes no action.

Mimiru           0/-------/---====|==-----\-------\0             Tran

Along with the rest of the people who actually follow the fight, Gabriel chases with the crowd to watch what is happening. Meanwhile she has a complete look of disaproval. This is madness. Inwardly she murmurs,

"Mimiru.. you're making sport of him now but.." She tsks softly to herself, apparently she's thinking it's high time that Mimiru hit the bastard again.

Thankfully, for those who are still in the subway and not on top of the subway's train, you have the chance to see most of the fight via that one camera man who's bravely facing all the dangers of this moving battlefield for you!

Anger...mounting. Rage...growing. Things aren't helped by Mimiru's nimble, dog-aided evasion of Tran's attempt to get her to just freaking hold still! He was so close! He could feel it!
With a scream of frustration, Tran follows Mimiru's path up to the top of the train. "Of course not! You've spent half the fight doing nothing but running away from me!" he calls after her.
Moving toward the ladder, he starts to climb up. "I'll show you slow! I'm going to thrash you until you can't move an inch without creaking or groaning! We'll see who's laughing at who then!" Gritting his teeth, he comes up on top of the train, balancing carefully. Tran's getting angry again, and he knows it. Solution: don't go charging ahead after her, no matter how much he wants to. Instead, he hangs back. So far he's had the most success letting Mimiru come to him. Well, he's gone halfway, let's see her come the other half!

COMBATSYS: Tran focuses on his next action.

[      \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  ///////////////////////       ]
Mimiru           0/-------/---====|==-----\-------\0             Tran

Considering how old Max is in dog years, he's quite a venerable canine. At least, his wisdom can counter-balance Mimiru's recklessness, and thankfully, he makes quite a great ever-watchful guardian for the little girl. Once they're on the top of the subway, waiting for Tran to come, Max reminds behind Mimiru. In fact, he even whimpers some, though Mimiru probably doesn't hear any of it due to the rest of the loud noises made by the subway train racing through the dark tunnels that are only barely lit by the neons every now and then.

For those who are still at the station and who don't really have the speed to catch up with a subway train, the whole action's being recorded, perhaps a bit awkwardly, by the camera-men who are risking their lives to follow those two fighters in the most awkward place. It may take a few seconds of delay for the crowd to see what's going on, considering the camera-man actually has to climb up the ladder, but by the time he's up, they're once more drown right into the heart of action!

Meanwhile, on the top of the subway train, as soon as Tran forces himself up, Mimiru barely gives him any seconds to get used to this place and get a good balance. She quite literally hurls herself over him, as if hoping to destabilize him with a swift assault.

Letting out loud shouts, Mimiru actually enters in another series of punches like last time, feeble fists that are sent Tran's way, even followed up by perhaps a kick here and there when there's an opening! Time to get physical, even if that's definately not Mimiru's style, she's hoping to just make him lose his gripe on the train's top. "Keep talking, geeyser!" Mimiru says.

Mimiru           0/-------/---====|===----\-------\0             Tran

And it seems that today, Mimiru's assault comes too swiftly for Dr. Tran to really...well, do anything about it. In itself, it doesn't hurt too much, but then he takes a couple steps backward, right over the ladder. Simply put? He falls off.
Luckily for him, his feet catch on the rungs! Unluckily, this also has the side effect of slamming his head against the ladder. Dazed, and upside down, he's in no position to retort, retaliate, or re...anything, really.

For what little time the camera man manages to get, it seems like Mimiru's having quite the upper hand when it comes to her swift series of punches that forces Tran to back off and stagger back. He staggers some much that this one light kicks she delivers him causes him to fall back. Blame it on the awkward balance he may have had on top of the train for the reason why he was knocked back by Mimiru's furious assault.

Of course, that causes the camera to actually fall down the ladder, being remplaced by Tran's fall. Thankfully for the fighter, Mimiru doesn't keep on pounding his sorry butt. She just grins and calls out, "Ahah! Way too slow! Come on, come get more, or did you have enough already?" Mimiru asks with a wide grin. He's in a bad position, and hitting him while he's upside down or just knocking him off the ladder would be definately no sport at all. She just leads down and reaches over to Max to gently pat and caress his furr, "Did you have enough of Mimiru?!"

Of course, meanwhile, the camera man attempts to get back at a better position, climbing up the other ladder to give the warriors even more space to duck it out, the camera doing down to the dazed Tran and up over to Mimiru who's taking it easy and waiting for Tran to make his come back.

COMBATSYS: Mimiru focuses on her next action.

Mimiru           0/-------/---====|===----\-------\0             Tran

Angry? Oh yes. Probably more so now than at any other point today so far! And really, judging by the way things are going? Dr. Tran might very well get angrier. It seems like there really is just something about Kasagis that gets under his skin. Maybe something to do with the fact that they're all totally rude!
Anyway, Tran's sufficiently recovered by this point to right himself, grabbing onto the ladder with his hands in order to pull himself back up. Climbing back up on top of the car, he fumes for a moment, just a moment, before rushing at Mimiru, leading with a fist aimed at her stomach. "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!"

COMBATSYS: Mimiru fails to counter Quick Punch from Tran with Ippon Seoi Nage.

Mimiru           0/-------/=======|====---\-------\0             Tran

Thanks to Max, Mimiru turns her attention back toward the edge of the subway train as Tran gets back on it. She idly ruffles the canine's head and she forces herself up. Pretty proud of herself so far, Mimiru actually takes a few steps closer and she cracks her knuckles, "So didn't have enough, you want more?" She asks the man.

She barely has the time to usher those words out of her throat that Tran dashes head-ons for her. Mimiru's eyes widen and she actually attempts to use Tran's own charge against him by reversing the punch into a lever for her to use to make him trip, but she does not seem to have swift enough movements to actually do so. As of sort, his fist hits the little girl right into her stomach, which makes her eyes widen a bit. Her arms reach for her stomach to clench around it and the girl staggers back some, obviously slightly stunned by the attack.

Well, that's gratifying. A little. Still not enough to come anywhere near close to making Tran cease to be angry. He's fairly beyond words at this point. Normally, his moods flash around wildly, but he's firmly in 'pissed' right now. He's feeling nothing but rage. But what does this mean?
It means that right now, Tran's just got a break, and he has no intention of letting up at all. Grabbing at Mimiru to hold her still is just the initial part; not damaging at all. The knee that Tran brings up at her gut? Well, that seems quite a bit nastier. "YAH!"

COMBATSYS: Mimiru dodges Tran's Light Kick.

Things are definately not going well. Mimiru staggers back as she tries to gather herself back. Her eyes lift up over to Tran as she coughs still and tries to recover her breath. Mimiru's not able to actually avoid his hand grasping her, though what she does manage is to play the slippery eel and she swiftly presses herself against Tran in a way to avoid his knee reaching her. As if she just put herself in his dead angle.

While Mimiru prefers close quarter combats, this is definately a bit too close. She has to actually readjust her strategy here, or else she'll just end up being a punching bag for him. She bites her lips and her eyes wander back and forth for a moment, trying to find a way out of this and her lips curl into a wide smile as she just finds the way out of it.

"Alright! This is our stop, big guy! Let's see if those bones of yours can handle the shock!" Mimiru shouts. What the hell is she talking about? Well if Tran looks the way the train's going, he may see teh_light. Yes, the light of the other station... Certainly she doesn't intend to...

Yes she does. Just as the train passes by, it doesn't stop. Thanks to the lack of someone to actually stop it right away. And so... They have to jump while the train's moving! Tran might not want to, but Mimiru forces him to! Using her jujitsu techniques, she actually makes him loses his balance and pushes him all the way with her, hurling both herself and him off the train at a rather high velocity. And off into the crowd they are! Definately, the landing will surely -hurt-. However, if, like Mimiru, you got good ways of actually rolling out the landings, it may not be that bad.

As for the camera man on the train? He misses all the action! He'll be able to stop the train on his own hopefully... And thanks to Howard's enterprise's foresight, there is another camera who's at the other station and who gets to see the fall of both combatents from the train! Right into the crowd of people. However, thankfully, they'll all move away before they actually crash-land on them.

COMBATSYS: Tran dodges Mimiru's Strong Throw.

Oh, but things won't go as Mimiru hopes, at least. Dr. Tran actually goes with Mimiru's insane action, putting his momentum into things. Trying to stay fairly close to Mimiru as he goes down, in an amazing display of agility unlike anything he's shown so far today, Tran lands smoothly on his feet, sliding a short distance backward, miraculously not running into anybody or anything.
Yeah, that sort of improves his mood a bit. He's got what could almost be termed a smile on his face. It's borderline. No time to rest, though, because he doesn't want to give Mimiru a chance to recover like he did, assuming she hasn't already. Moving toward her landing point, Dr. Tran's action is simple. Just try to deck her across the face.

Of course, Max also leaps off along with Mimiru. Though he's a safe distance away from the two of them. At least he doesn't remain on the train, thankfully. Mimiru, herself, pushes herself away from Tran once they're both off the train and she prepares for a swift landing as well. She abosrbs the impact on her back, not taking any damage from it, making a soft and smooth landing. She didn't quite expect it to be the same for Tran, on the other hand...

As of sort, when she gets back on her feet, it's obviously apparent that she's surprised to see him right in her face. Her eyes widen but then, the only thing she gets to see is Tran's fist into her face. Now that definately had to hurt. The little girl staggers back a couple of step, dazed from the punch and how things are going back into swift action once more.

Mimiru bites her lips and she tries to recover from the shock. It's her canine's bark that actually helps her snap out of it and she tries to run away from Tran for now. To wear him out some more. Have the 'old man' follow her. Her nose bleeds a bit but it's nothing to be concerned about after you just fell off a train, "Right Max! Coming!" She shouts.

And as if to make things harder for Tran, as she dashes off she just knocks off a trash in his direction. Not really meant to hurt, more just to give him a hard time to keep on attacking her.

COMBATSYS: Tran blocks Mimiru's Thrown Object.

Oh, there's a little twinge of guilt there. I mean, sure, Mimiru deserves that punch in the face, but the fact of the matter is that she's still a teenage girl, and Dr. Tran, a grown adult, just slugged her. Still, it's only a little twinge, easily overcome.
On a wholly different note, it's not a wise idea to underestimate Tran. For some odd reason, it's a popular occurance anyway. He may not be fast, for example, but he's stubborn as hell on the chase. Especially when it comes to chasing a no-respect, trash talking girl like Mimiru! When she pushes the garbage can in his way, Tran just punts it out of the way (ow, my foot), and keeps on trucking. He'll get her yet!

COMBATSYS: Tran takes no action.

"What's up, old man! Getting tired!" Mimiru calls out from some distance, right into the stairs that leads out of the train's station. Her lips curl into a wide girn and she tilts her head to one side, sticking her tongue out at him, "Come on, don't tell me you're already dead-beat, I mean, we just started getting fun, come on! Can't catch up with youth, eh? Told you you were so out of it."

With a soft giggle that is followed by a few barks from Max, Mimiru turns around on her heels and she dashes for the exit of the station up there right in the Financial District. Up there she'll wait for Tran and the camera men to actually catch them both up. And while she'll wait for them to come up, Mimiru just takes the few seconds she has to take her breath back and actually swipe off some blood from her nose.

COMBATSYS: Mimiru takes a breather.

Tran isn't nearly so tired as Mimiru might believe! "Hardly! I've barely even broken a sweat! This is nothing! Nothing!" Putting on a burst of speed, pumping his legs for all they're worth, he follows Mimiru up, sending a little surprise up in front of him - yes, that's right, two more tiny steam boomerangs, which go arcing lazily toward Mimiru the instant Tran catches sight of her again. "So for the last time, I'm not old, and I'm not going to lose to a damn child like yourself!" At least Mimiru's enjoying herself, by the sound of it.

COMBATSYS: Tran successfully hits Mimiru with Real American Hero Cutter.

Mimiru           1/=======/=======|=====--\-------\0             Tran

Unlike last time, this time, Mimiru doesn't have the time to make a swift escape for it. In fact, she didn't expect Tran to actually come back at her so quickly, and as of sort, she definately lets her guard down for way too long, long enough for him to attack her head on without having her notice it. Of course, Max, her canine, was well aware of his presence, but by the time he barks to call Mimiru to order, her gaze goes up only to see the steam boomerangs coming her way.

Mimiru's eyes widen and she bites her lips as she's thr victim of the incoming steam made weapon. They both hit the girl just as she was still taking her breath and that just seems to hurt even more. She lets out a screech from her throat, loud enough to actually get the attention of those who were around and Mimiru actually stagger back a few. She even loses her balance and crumples down to the ground.

What she wanted to do, get back some energy, just seems to have cost her even more. Not that she's lacking the energy to carry on, her body just doesn't want to follow much of it so much it hurts. She tries to recover at least, even if she seems pretty shaken... And that's where Max comes in. Ah that faithful canine.... With a few growls and barks, he actually leaps off on Tran, attempting to bite and rake him, at least distract him long enough for Mimiru to get back to her senses.

"HA! Take that, girly! Now who's too slow? Yeah, that's what I thought!" Tran's clearly happy about that one, grinning once again, and trash-talking. He can tell that one hurt Mimiru badly, and he's beyond feeling any remorse for hurting her.
Still, it seems he was intent on pressing his advantage, charging straight at Mimiru...until the dog interferes. Dr. Tran tries to power on through, but Max drags him down enough, delaying him, so that he can't get any closer. With some people, that might be enough. With Tran...perhaps not. Water begins to build at the corners of his eyes. Is he...is he going to cry? The answer is revealed, just moments later, when two very small jets of steam come shooting out of his eyes. Like eye lasers, only not! In the meantime, regardless of how that turns out, he's got his attention occupied by the hound. Ack!

COMBATSYS: Tran successfully hits Mimiru with 3 2 1... Dr. Tran.

Mimiru           2/<<<<<<</<<<<<<<|=======\-------\0             Tran

Seems like Mimiru's the one who's too slow right now. Even with Max's efforts to buy her some time, Mimiru is still having a hard time recovering from that previous blast. Hot steam seems to hurt a lot more than it looks like. Talk about a sudden up turn of events. At a given moment the fight was all heated up and intense and now, in just a second or two, it all changes and it ends. An abrupt ending, though things like that are bound to happen, no?

With those steam shooting eyes, Mimiru doesn't even get back up. Smack boom in the ground and she stays there. And to say just a few dozen of seconds ago she was ready to kick some serious butts. Fate is like that sometime. With it it ends, Mimiru just lets out a slight scream as she gets hit and pinned down by the attack and she just stays there for good.

Of course, Max lets go of Tran too and he just pays more attention to Mimiru. He whimpers a bit and goes by her side to nudge her and, of course, if Tran attempts to move any closer he's probably going to get a few angry barks and snarls from the dog.

COMBATSYS: Mimiru takes no action.

No worries, there. Tran is going to stay well away from Mimiru. She's down, and that's all that counts. Mildly hurt, and more than a little worn out, Dr. Tran really only has the grim satisfaction that comes from beating the crap out of someone who's told you to your face that you suck at beating the crap out of people. And in this case that the reason for the suck is that you're old.
And as abrupt as the fight may have ended, Tran had more than his fill of running around like a ninny after a little girl so that they could beat the crap out of each other. He's not satisfyed with having to run after her at all. Still, a win is a win, and Tran really does want to get out of town quickly. He has no intention of staying a minute longer than he has to, and there's no better time to start than now, even tired and sort of beaten. Turning back to the subway, Tran keeps mumbling to himself about how he's not old, all the way to wherever he's going.

COMBATSYS: Tran has ended the fight here.

Lovely. It doesn't take too long for Jiro to see that the match is over. A sigh escapes from his lips, then he walks over to the fallen girl, now that everything is now done for. A grunt is given.
Mimiru will likely be carried back to Kyle's place to chill with Kyle and his sister.
...Jiro has other business to take care of.
