Description: Kasumi battles it out with May Lee in full Justice Mode on the docks, and just *barely* puts her down with the help of the chaos agent for the match, Tony. Afterward, said chaos agent takes it upon himself to add insult to injury by hitting the fallen hero while she's down with a busted camera. (Winner: Kasumi)
The salty smell of ocean air wafts over the harbor, the sun shining down and dispelling any lingering chill in the air the otherwise cold morning may have left.
Three PM was a good time to fight this time of the year after all!
"JUSTICE! YES!"
That, dear friends, was the voice of May Lee rising over the din of the audience that had gathered upon one of the docks. They were to do battle on one of the docks today, it seems, security forces, police-tapey stuff, and the fear of personal injury keeping the audience persons from getting /too/ close to the center of one of the docks, upon which May Lee stood. The Korean girl had a fist in the air, and was hopping up and down in place, waving her fist in a circular motion above her head, much to the delight of the crowd. Hey, since she came early, might as well take a little time to get the crowd excited, huh? Or... try to?
It was nice weather for fighting, definitely, and while Kasumi wasn't quite as early as her opponent, she was still able to arrive a little bit earlier than expected. Much of the crowd didn't seem to have arrived yet, because the Kendo girl didn't need to push her way through to get to the actual cordoned-off fight space like she normally did. Granted, it's a dock we're talking about, but hey.
"I think that's about all you're going to get until the match has started, May Lee. But don't worry, I'm sure we'll get some cheers." The girl in the hakama stands there at the opposite end of the dock from the Justice fighter, getting into her stance and looking ready to go, but then she remembers, "Oh, I suppose we should wait for that agent person, however."
...Enter the Toniest of them all, The illustrious mister Styles!
The door to a mildly conspicuous black four-door swings open, allowing for the Muay Thai Panther to slide himself out onto the street just before the dock itself started. Dressed down in a pair of simple black pants and a 'referee' style striped shirt, Tony quietly made his way over to the police tape. Swinging over the makeshift blockade, it's not until he clears the last row of Howard Entertainment cameramen and production assistants that his 'accessory' can be seen.
So, then, what is it? I'm glad you asked. Cradled against his side is a camera similar to the ones being used on site here and now...but with a rather large crack in the side.
"Alright, ladies..." Tony makes his way over to what would be roughly the midway point between them, slightly off to the side so as not to be directly in the line of fire. "...I'd say I wanted a good, clean, fight, but then I'd be lying. You're both talented, but I'll I've seen outta the lot of you has been a lot of ballerina action. Which one of you has the heart to pull through when adversity is calling? Either of you?" A pause, then, as Tony allows the camera to slip from his grip, landing with a dull 'clunk' on the dock. "Let's find out!"

"Eh? What?" May Lee says, stopping her hops as she glances over her shoulder. First towards Kasumi, but then Tony's arrival draws her attention, the Justice! fighter turning slowly around to face the other two. Listening with rapt attention to what Tony says, it wasn't until he finishes that she allowed a befuddled look to touch her features. "...what? Ballerina?!" she says. But after a moment's silence from her, a slow grin turns up the corners of her lips. "You got it, announcer guy." May Lee says, lifting up a finger to point at him, before her attention goes back towards Kasumi.
"Hey, do your best, and we'll both be sure to get some cheers!" she says, before taking a long step forward with her right foot, before leaning her torso back somewhat, the young woman allowing her arms to dangle at her sides as she casts a self-confident grin in Kasumi's direction. "Whenever you're ready!" she adds, and my, was her voice a bit deeper now.
Kasumi first nods her head toward Tony as soon as he steps out onto the dock to pick his spot outside of the range of where she and May Lee will most likely clash first.
"Fair enough." is all the kendo girl seems to have in response to his question. Probably because as soon as he finished speaking her eyes were sent down toward that camera that he just dropped onto the solid wooden dock at his feet. She really had to wonder about that. Her attention was soon drawn back to May Lee, though, so there wasn't *too* much time to take it into consideration.
"Alri- " *blink* "...what kind of stance is that?" she ends up muttering to herself, in the midst of toeing her way forward somewhat slow and catious and then trying to slide in toward her opponent to close the last half meter or so, going to grapple those dangling arms if she can and then slam the other girl back to the dock.
"..yeah, what the hell is that?" In this, May Lee has scored the true first strike of the match, confusing both Kasumi and Tony without even having to throw out an attack. When in doubt, fall back on that resevoir of bitter resentment. "...This is a fight, not some modelling gig!" That's the ticket.
As Kasumi takes the initiative as far as actual physical fighting goes, Tony gives her an approving nod. Not that she was likely to catch it given her position, but there it was regardless. "That's right! Take it to her! Nobody's getting paid by the hour here!"
While Tony had no problem with giving words of praise, he was here to do a job--a job that he would love doing, a job he would've volunteered for, nevermind getting paid. Beating on a pair of up-and-comers, when they can't fight back? Ohohoyeah. Taking a halfstep to the side, Tony brings his foot up high, lashing out with a kick meant to catch Kasumi in the small of her back.

They... didn't like her Justice! stance? Philistines.
Kasumi's slow and cautious approach, on the other hand, gave May time to eye the girl's approach, her petite body tensing... and when Kasumi makes a grab for her arms, May Lee hops up, and over the other girl. And while in mid-air, May Lee decides to show off a bit, pulling her feet up to where they nearly touched the small of her back, and twisting around the tap the bottoms of her soles with her right hand, May Lee unfolding her legs back to their proper position riiiight in the nick of time. The effect would be ruined if she lands on her face, afterall.
Whirling around again, May Lee calls out, "Oh-ho! You're fast, but not fast enough to catch me YET!!", May says. If they didn't like her stance, they would love what's coming next! Setting her feet at a little past shoulder-width apart, May Lee throws a twist into her hips, and chops her right hand high up into the air across herself, the hand held rigid. Her left fist gets to be held by her belt, in a tight fist! "IF you were going EASY on me... /DESIST/!! For I am LEE JIN JU, more commonly known as MAY LEE, THE FIST..." May Lee says, snapping her feet together, and then bringing her fist up quickly from her belt, to snap a punch in the air towards Kasumi's general direction. There was too much distance for it to be a attack, but there go. And at the same time, she chops her uplifted hand through the air to the other side of herself, the girl shouting in her deepened voice, "OF /JUSTICE/!!! HENSHIN!!" she calls out, using the Japanese word for transformation. She didn't transform, but streams of multicolored energy burst into life around her, borne by winds of chi that rustles her hair and clothes.

Kasumi...didn't get to see much of that, did she? Ah well. As soon as she missed the grab she went for, May Lee sailing over her with her feet pulled up so high behind her, she got kicked in the back. She couldn't quite turn around in time, whether she heard the chaos agent coming or not by the way his feet hit the hollow dock when he walked.
She ended up hitting the dock pretty hard herself, facefirst, the way May Lee was just worried about landing. Grunting as she pushes herself back up, rolls onto her back and then stands, the kendo girl proceeds to dust herself with one hard slap at the front of her hakama. "Whatever you say, "Fist of Justice".
Circling around off to Tony's side and heading back for the energetic May Lee, Kasumi seems to half-run, and half start to swirl into motion low to the ground. Her fist comes out for May's midsection, and then her leg sweeps out to try and knock her off her feet, and if any of that connects at all, she lowers a shoulder and shoves her way under the falling justice ranger and proceeds to pop her back into the air with an uppercut.
His shin finding a home in Kasumi's back, Tony was in a poor position to do too much about May Lee...though as fate would fall, that wasn't a horrible thing at all. It gave him the time to watch May Lee go into full on Sentai mode. The fireworks gave it a certain flair that was just icing on May Lee's cake of justice, though the jury was out on wheather or not that cake would be delicious.
"...Holy hell. She's -crazy-."
The jury was in, and the verdict that came back was a solid 'guilty'. Tony's face curled into a bemused grin as Kasumi goes back onto the attack, and the cognitive abilities returned in full. If she'd go low, he'd go high. It'd be awesome, just watch!
Coiling backwards into a low guard, Tony's eyes narrowed as he tried to make a couple of quick judgements. Would the air velocity changes brought on by wind and the salty ocean air affect his trajectory? Could he account for a wide variety of physics formulas and score a hit on the Korean girl from this distance?
Sure he could.
Exploding forward and into the air, Tony quickly shifts in midair, pulling his legs up tight against the rest of his body while sort of hunching his upper body. Flying human projectile that he was, Tony was guided in by his knee in a maneuver not totally unlike Sagat's Tiger Crush...or a million other similar things.

Well, let /no one say/ that the Justice! Koreans were totally sane, (except Dong Hwan, who could be argued either way). But would that very same jury decide that Tony and Kasumi's impromptu plan would indeed be awesome? Well, that would be up in the air, too.
The chi 'fireworks' explode away from her as her two opponents rush in, leaving only a little bit of the wind than was intended guiding inwards, towards May Lee's aura. That was the plan. What /wasn't/ the plan, was sir Tony there smashing into her face like a metric ton of ouch. The knee makes contact with May Lee's face with a astounding *CRACK*, the woman staggers backwards, her hands rising up to cover her face with a high-pitched squeak of pain. One would think that this would leave her wide open for Kasumi's followup attack. Well, in this case, that would be wrong.
Kasumi's fist swings in... but doesn't quite strike home. Or strike anything. Kasumi would find her fist caught between May Lee's right elbow, and right knee, the girl having dropped that elbow, and lifted that knee to catch that fist in a surprisingly tight grip, for what should be such a precarious position. And although May Lee's face was already bruising, and blood was beginning to leak from her nose, she grins widely. "WOOYA!" she says, releasing Kasumi's fist, then inverting her torso, standing on her left leg and keeping her balance somehow as she swings her right foot upwards, hammering the underside of Kasumi's chin, and sending the girl into the air. And as Kasumi comes down... May Lee drops her foot, and then raises the opposite one to smack the girl on the front, sending Kasumi away from herself. And then... and then May Lee falls to her knees, looking quite... dizzy.
Kasumi was trying not to judge the other girl prematurely, but yeah, all signs were pointing to crazy from her perspective. The weird stance, that weird skater-like jump she did, the way she sounded /exactly like Kim/ when she used that deeper voice of hers. And her timing is kind of insanely good, which she realizes a little too late. Oh yeah, you better believe someone like Kasumi knows immediately when they're getting countered.
"Oh geez... " is uttered just before she's kicked in caught under the chin by a justice boot and then juggled once in the air by another kick, send back quite a few feet before she hits the floor. And when she rolls back to her feet and focuses her eyes on May Lee again, she sees just how messed up she got by Tony and doesn't feel quite as upset that she allowed for that little slip-up on her part. So instead of running herself back over and trying to retaliate immediately the way she was going to? She takes a moment to clear her throat and admit, "That's a pretty nice move. I have one that's a lot like that. Allow me to show you." And *then* she clacks her way back over in the loud wooden shoes of hers and goes for yet another grab, trying to pull the TKD girl in by anything she can grab hold of for a nice heavy kick to the midsection that will push her away.
Booya! By some strange twist of physics, Tony doesn't go sailing beyond the TKD girl, doesn't take her with him, doesn't really do much else to her beyond the initial contact. It was something he was used to, probably something most fighters who used a similar technique was used to. Fighter Physics were crazy like that...but then again, it was an adherence to fighter physics that allowed Tony to cruise through the air like some kind of anti-air rocket anyways. Rebounding off of May Lee's face, Tony lands someodd feet away from the duo. It was likely more than enough distance to allow Kasumi to perform her lead-in front kick without any annoying Chaos Agents to get in the way, though Tony wasn't done making a nuisance of himself, not by a longshot.
"Don't telegraph your attack by talking about it first! Just pull in and kick her goddamn guts loose! You can tell her about how inferior her style is when she's bleeding on the floor!" Leave it up to Tony to find some kind of fault in the performance, trying his best to seem like the overbearing coach figure...and taking a serious lick out of her as well. What form would the blow take? That entirely depended on what Kasumi did.
Tony took a couple of steps forward, bringing himself into grappling range with the young fighter. Hands go high and wide, looking to close in and loop around her neck. If he happens to land that, then the fun starts in earnest.

May Lee opens her mouth to speak, although shuts it before saying anything as Kasumi approaches. Chitter chatter can come when she's not being attacked a the moment! "Right, and..." May Lee says quietly to herself, as she tries to step away. Unfortunately, her arm was grabbed, yanking her towards Kasumi. Fortunately, she's able to sidestep at the proper moment so that the kick doesn't hammer her in her gut, just scrapes along her side. And wow, did that smart anyways. "Oof." May Lee says, a bit louder now. "Nice kick, I..." May Lee says in her normal voice, backpedaling away from the other girl.
Now, May Lee was a good girl. You know. The annoyingly honest type, tries to be upbeat all the time, gives people fair chances, would rather stab herself with a rusty fork than wittingly lie... so it might just be a bit surprising, that, in spite of what Coach Tony says, May Lee uses the time he keeps Kasumi busy, to... pose. Dropping down to one knee, she raises both her arms to the sky, holding them both stiffly, and holds it there for a moment.
"Oh HO! You are a formidable opponent indeed! Shall I show you my ULTIMATE kick?!" May Lee calls out, in a slightly deeper voice, unable to help the mischievious grin from turning up the corners of her lips. Slashing both arms down to her sides, May Lee leaps up into the air with that same motion, flips twice(!) through the air.. and then jabs out both feet, streaking down towards Kasumi with a double jumpkick. Should it hit, the physical effects would be... slight, at best, but the main punch to the kick? It would come when May Lee lands beyond Kasumi, and cries out, "BEHOLD! MY POWER!", and then clenches her hand into a fist. Now when that happens, assuming she got a clean hit... where May Lee's feet had hit Kasumi? Would blow up in a gout of flame.

Wowsa. May Lee's ULTIMATE kick definitely overshadows Tony's efforts, though one might imagine that's the way it should be. This was May Lee and Kasumi's fight, not Tony's. This was their stage, their time to shine, and Tony was basically there as a sideshow, stealing and siphoning limelight where he can.
So then, what is the form of Tony's theft? Why, pitiably simplistic...in comparison. Interlocking his fingers around Kasumi's neck, Tony'll pull her into a clinch just long enough to drill a pair of knees into her forehead--left, right and release. At least, that was the plan.
Not only did she telegraph her attack, like Tony said (though it was only a little bit, sheesh!), but she allowed herself to get a little angry about it, and it was in essence more like she was kicking herself than May Lee when she did that. No reflect needed at all.
"W- what? Hey just get off my case, alright? I'm not just some newbie!" And before she can say anything more she finds herself getting squeezed about the neck, and has to retract her hands from May Lee to catch those knees with her gloved hands as best she can before they jar her brain around in her skull. She's a *little* bit sucessful in doing this, but not nearly enough, because whenever she finally gets Tony's hands wrenched free of her throat, she has just enough time to shake out her ponytail and make sure her head is still on straight before she's just destroyed by that kick from the heavens, courtesy of May Lee. What was that about being worthy? Seriously. Oh my god. Is she even moving? There's not a single twitch after she blows up.

Was Kasumi dead? Even Tony had to stop and ask himself. A wary eye went to Kasumi, then to the -real- referee for the fight. After a long moment of inactivity, there was no call for the bell from their end--so naturally it must still be gametime! Turning his attention on May Lee, he offers her the slightest of nods before turning his back to her.
Now, one might interpret that as a show of disrespect. After all, you're never supposed to turn your back to a fighter, unless they're not a threat. Was Maylee being silently called a lightweight by the kickboxer? Maybe. For what it's worth, though, it's only a brief moment before Tony's turning right back for Maylee--into Maylee. Adding Injury to insult is that hefty fist of his, extended out as Tony spins back around. If he has his way, the backside of his hand will smack against May Lee's cheek before being pulled back in.

/Was/ Kasumi dead?
"Ummmm..." May Lee says, glancing from the fallen girl, up towards Tony, as if seeking direction from him. This, of course, let her see his incoming fist, just in time. Eyes widening, May Lee ducks beneath the fist, and then begins to step away from both the fallen Kasumi and Tony, eyes flicking back and forth between the two. "Almost!" she calls out, before settling back into that stance that they so loved before. One foot forward, back foot planted, arms sorta dangling, chin lifted a little... and a self-confident little smile.
"So! Agent! Isn't the match over?" May Lee says, her attention nonetheless shifting from Tony to Kasumi. The girl might be preparing a trick. This was a nice time to draw more energy unto herself, hmm?

Kasumi 1/----===/=======|
Kasumi was fine, really. She was just really really stunned for a moment. Rather than break bones, that technique of May Lee's knocked the wind right out of her, and then the explosion that came after shocked the muscles in her solar plexus enough that they got stuck as they were, all caved in. This made it really hard to breathe. The kendo girl had never had anything like this happen to her before, so it shocked her into thinking she might die, which in turn made it look to everyone else like she was. She still had a pulse though, hence why the ref didn't call things off.
And what is it that gets Kasumi's diaphragm moving correctly again? Shouting. Or at least trying to shout. Martial artists know how to call strength from that area when they give loud cries, and just the attempt is enough to untense those muscles and get her breathing again thankfully. "Kyaaaaaaa!" The yell also helps her to sit herself back up as well, and before she can even fully calm down she's up on one knee, staring wide-eyed and holding her chest for a minute even as she pushes herself up to stand. Really, she's damn near hyperventilating now that she's getting any air at all now, so while she wants to just make a mad dash at the Justice fighter and tackle her to the ground for a nice big karate-chop fest, she'll have to settle for standing way back here and attacking with something that may just tear up the dock a little bit.
Kasumi's arms go up, and then they bring down the thunder when she drops them low and sends out about ten massively tall blades of red energy, sharp enough that they actually dig into the wood of the dock she's on as they barrel toward May Lee.
"Is the match over? What, are you nuts? Stop prattling about powerzords and pay attention!" Now, granted, Tony had little reason to believe that Kasumi was indeed alive, outside of the fact that the other employees haven't made motion to call this match over. On the other hand...this is Tony. How many times has he stopped fighting just because the bell had been rung lately? Once, Maybe?
So then, there was Maylee, still standing, still in a fighting condition...something Tony wanted to fix, judging from the look in his eyes. Pulling his guard high, Tony shot a quick front kick out at the midsection of the TKD fighter, almost a bit too quickly. Rather than try to push his foot through the girl, he's quick to put his foot back down once contact is made.
It's right about now that the 'Kyaaaaaa!' reaches Tony's ears, and gets processed as a sign from Kasumi. It's enough to rattle the kickboxer, and possibly turn his aim off...though that's yet to be seen.

Well, pumping out so much chi certainly seems to do wonders for the kendo girl's breathing. She calms right back down as soon as she concentrates and keeps her hands held out before her, willing the energy spikes that rise out of the ground to pile into May Lee, telling them to move faster and faster until every one of them is used up and gone.
And now that she's that calm, well, she's once again fit for countering, and boy is she ready to. She didn't use any this entire fight. "Good, May Lee. Because that was really stressful for me, what happened back there. I'm not quite finished taking out my frustration on you!!" And she really means it. When May Lee comes at her from the air again, Ryuhaku's daughter has her hands up in a high guard, fingers just itching for the grab, and they find home right against the Justice Fist's extended leg, snatch her right out of the air and slam her down behind her. And it doesn't stop there. Kasumi finishes by bringing the mother of all punches right down against May's midsection, hitting so hard that the impact shakes the dock and makes all of the planks rattle. "NOW I'm finished." she says, before rising back to her full height and turning to look at Tony.
..beat, beat, beat..
Looking at Tony isn't the most exciting of things to do, simply because Tony is busy looking at May Lee. Once the Referee rumbles out to announce Kasumi the winner, Tony throws on a pleased smile. Attention meandering to Kasumi, Tony gives a thumbs up. "You did good, girl. You endured an assault, and you played it smart. You held on until your opportunity was there, and you took it. You'll go further than half of these rooks."
Words of praise complete, Tony moves back to where he dropped that dented camera, cradling it in a manner similar to someone holding a football. "You go ahead and take five, drink some fighterade or something and collect your winnings. Me, I got some quick business to handle."
Assuming Kasumi doesn't do something to get into the way? That business is pretty easy to make out. Taking the camera in both hands, Tony starts into a dead run for the downed TKD fighter.
Kasumi does just that at Tony's prompting, accepting his words of praise with a little bow of her head and then merrily heading off toward the medical staff to get herself checked out before she heads out. Because you know, it would totally suck to leave the scene of a fight where you almost stopped breathing only to end up having that same trouble moments later whilst you're heading home.

Tony continued his run for May Lee, bringing the camera to bear with both hands and just sorta drilling it into the side of her head. While it's probably not something May was looking forward to dealing with, there's an upside to things: The Camera could only take so much damage, and its second run in against Justice! ensures that it shatters into a number of sizable pieces. Tony trots to a halt some few yards away, smirking guiltily to himself.
Ahhh... there was a certain peace to unconciousness, a happy little world all of May Lee's...
...-* THWACK! *-
There wasn't much that May Lee could do in her current state of mind, but her limbs and body did twitch with the pain she was feeling at that moment before slumping unto her side again, and if Tony liked that, then he was a very, very bad man. Shame.
Yes. Tony -was- a very, very bad man. Not only that, but now all of Japan knew it too. He was starting to rack up a bodycount, almost, and it was only a matter of time before he caught a bad one because of it.
We're going to worry about that one when we get to it. For now? The camera belonging to the actual workers had the opportunity to capture that sadistic smile of his before Tony turned around and started wordlessly for that car that deposited him here earlier.
