Description: Despite a fairly even start, Megumi and Mai go on to thrash Eagle and K9999. It doesn't help that Eagle is more than a little disturbed by his teammate's Arm Mutation. (Winners: Mai and Megumi)
It's the middle of the afternoon on the weekend, so it's to be expected that the mall is fairly crowded. But it's even more crowded than usual this weekend, because in addition to all of the shoppers, there's also a large crowd gathered to watch some people beating on one another. One of the small parks in the middle of the area has been roped off, with cameras and sound equipment set up.
As the time for the match approaches, the crowd begins to murmur quietly, waiting for the fighters to arrive. In the meantime, the announcer gets things started, letting people know what they're in for. "We've got a battle of the sexes for you folks this afternoon! On one side we've got the lovely duo of Megumi and Mai," Unsurprisingly, a fair number of cheers go up at that, especially from the male side of the audience, "and facing them we have Eagle and Kay!" Somewhat less cheering, but there's certainly still some enthusiasm there. "I'm sure you folks in the audience are going to be in for a great fight, just like you can always expect from SNF!"
As the announcer is speaking, Eagle strolls into the park area, waving with his sticks to anybody in the audience who manages to catch his eye. He's got a wide grin on his face, and appears to be in a good mood. This is what he lives for, after all. Putting on a show, and seeing the thrill of excitement in the audience. While he waits for his teammate and opponents to arrive he begins twirling his sticks in rapid circles, spinning them around himself and even swapping them from hand to hand without ceasing the rotation, eliciting a few 'oohs' and 'aahs' from the audience.
Of course, Mai would have to top that.
With a muffled boom, a plume of smoke rises from the other side of the temporary arena, at first a simple gray but quickly changing to a fiery red. The smoke clears as quickly as it came, leaving...
...Mai Shiranui and Megumi Andou! Both of them are clad in voluminous ornamental robes to boot. The kunoichi pauses for a second, then spins around, in one action whirling her robes away and revealing her trademark outfit, complete with fans.
Well... to his knowledge, nobody here'd ever fought against him before. Not that he cared or anything, it was just nice to know that he wouldn't have to deal with people calling him names or anything. "Kay" steps out of a black limosine moments after Eagle enters the scene, pulling a pair of long gloves onto his hands, cracking his neck here and there, surveying the area with beady eyes. Noticeably /cold/ eyes. They fall on Eagle, the cane-flippy whippy display he's giving, and the slightest hint of a roll could be seen. He wasn't too impressed.
"Right, just don't make a mistake." Kay falls into position next to Eagle, and looks to the crowd. Obviously, seeing if he's gained any fans yet. The "oohs" and "ahs" that Eagle got... abruptly stop. K9999's expression sours noticeably, and he turns to the opposition, frowning. More cheers erupt for the women across the arena... and it's a bit much for K9999, even if he's got a chip controlling his personality.
He steps into the arena, one foot behind him, the other in front, turns to the side, and points at both women, growling. "/I'll/ show you what it means to be a fighter! None of that flashy, showy bullshit! If you want to prove yourself, beat me!" He puts his hands in his pockets, then, stepping back to a casual position. "'Course, if you lose... I can't promise either of you'll be leaving here on your feet. Wonder how fast they can get the stretchers to the arena?"
Megumi did in fact mirror Mai's arrival. This was something she could generally not do on her own, but with Mai's help and expertise on 'ninja, APPEAR!' style things, it worked. Megumi likewise holds still for a moment to let the arrival sink in, then stretches out a little, twisting one hand around in the other. "Y'know, that was a neat idea, Mai. Always wanted to do something like that..." Then she slips the robe off as well, setting it aside to reveal...well, her 'alternate' outfit. The one with legbands, armbands, and more showy attire in general. They aren't complete copies of one another, but Megumi apparently was going for the same sort of theme as Mai...and then waves to the crowd, before looking to Eagle and 'Kay'. He seems to be in a bad mood, but...Megumi tries to keep fairly bright and relaxed despite it. "Oh come on. It's just for fun. I bet the people who bought a ticket don't mind, y'know?"

Eagle frowns when the audience is distracted by the decidedly bitter sounding young man he'll be working with. He snaps the batons out of their spin, dropping his arms into a ready stance as he turns to glance at K-Quad. "Hey, lad, no need to get upset. What's the point, if you can't have a good time?" He grins at K9999, leaning in and attempting to wrap an arm around the experiment's shoulder in a friendly fashion. "Just relax and have some fun, right?"
After that, the bouncer stands back up straight and takes a few steps away from K-Quad. Even with all he just said, there's no sense in standing right next to his teammate so that they can both be hit at once. It's good timing, too, because a moment later comes the call from the announcer: "Fight!" Eagle flashes a smile toward Megumi and Mai, gesturing with one of the batons in the general direction of the two girls. "Ladies first."

Mai stops posturing for the audience, putting a hand on her hip and wagging a fan at K9999 disapprovingly, "The stretchers are right over there," she comments, and indeed there are medical teams nearby, just like at every SNF. "Are you blind? I'd really feel bad beating you in that case!"
The kunoichi smiles, glancing at Eagle. Now, this guy's a lot happier. "Thanks!" she chirps at his invitation, cartwheeling towards him and then leaping into the air. Her goal? Nothing more than to land on Eagle's shoulders in a handstand so she can begin phase two of her evil plan.
K9999 was /irritated/, and slightly more sociable than he had been prior to the operation. That being said, Eagle's friendly arm-wrap is returned with an elbow to the man's side, a mumbled, "Yeah... good luck." Following that, he falls into a somewhat... decent fighting stance. Slightly goofy, arms spread wide, for those who were /extremely/ paranoid, they might link this new development to the way Mr. Pitt had fought in Metro. But, it's doubtful that anybody would make the connection, K9999 downplays the showmanship quite a bit. At least. So far.
"But don't get your hopes for them! I don't play games when I fight! It's about the venting, the talent, not the "competition"!" And K9999 falls silent for a time, letting Eagle say his piece. Then Mai speaks up, and the experiment closes his eyes tightly, fists clenched. He doesn't say anything, however. Simple fact of the matter's that Mai wasn't starting out too well in his book. Not only was she attractive(jealous!), and popular(Also Jealous!), she was /teasing him/. Which is the last straw, really.
And again, some new developments in the KQuad Fighting Style. Contrary to old examples, the clone /doesn't/ bum-rush Mai, rather, he keeps his eyes on her for the moment, fingers clenching and unclenching in a pattern. Megumi's given the barest of his attentions, at the moment... he was just gathering his rage.

Megumi seems to have the same general attitude Eagle and Mai do. She's also got a fairly warm look to her face, even as K9999 isn't. "Hey...I know where you're coming from," she says while sprinting towards him, right fist held up by her head, "But don't worry about it too much. It doesn't work, I found that out the hard way." Red energy surrounds her fist, then when she gets close enough, she swings her fist straight at his chest. If the fist connects, the energy will burst off as a sort of 'forward detonation' onto K9999.

Eagle returns Mai's smile before she begins cartwheeling toward him. This is all in good fun, right? Of course, that doesn't mean that he's going to hold back. If somebody wants to fight, he's going to give it his all. Although occasionally his attempts to be as artistic as possible can blow up in his face.
Not this time, though. While Mai is spinning toward him, Eagle begins spinning the baton in his right hand, watching the incoming kunoichi carefully. "Well, then. Let's dance!" As she leaps into the air toward him he lunges forward, ducking slightly to pass underneath her. At the same time he snaps his baton upwards, slamming it into Mai's torso. He then uses a combination of her momentum and his own strength to send her sailing on past him, before quickly turning around to face her once more.

Well, Mai has learned a valuable lesson: if someone is staring intently at you that probably means they have a mystical understanding of your next move. The kunoichi folds like tissue paper, sailing through the air and rolling along the ground. She sits up, rubbing her stomach.
And then she stares intently at Eagle.

K9999's attempt(a bad attempt) to punch Megumi's shoulder while she hits him with that... exploding thing is unsuccessful, and the clone is sent /very far/ backwards, back slamming into a tree on the very edge of the park's border. He hits the ground hard, landing on knees and hands, eyes closed, shaking his head. Obviously, he doesn't feel very good, but that doesn't mean he's going to whine about it. Or scream, or do anything of the sort. Rather, he just stands up, dusts himself off, and begins walking back into the thick of things. It takes him awhile... but regardless, he's not out yet.
Megumi stands still after striking K9999 away. She could chase after him, but...no. Mai just took what was clearly a nasty, nasty hit. Megumi runs over towards her, and throws her arms apart. "Use this," Megumi encourages as a paper-thin red energy 'wall' forms between them, about half as tall as Mai is...and flies out towards her.
So, now Mai's going to give Eagle a taste of his own medicine? Touche`. Well, he'll have to see if he can do anything about that. He doesn't know what's going on with the red wall from Megumi, but he can only assume that it's something helpful, seeing as they're on the same time. Fair enough.
Eagle waits a moment for the red wall to pass over Mai, and then he's charging in toward the kunoichi, running at full speed. As he draws in close to Mai he suddenly plants one foot on the ground, snapping his arms out the sides with his batons extended. "Hnn!" With a grunt, he begins spinning in a rapid circle, attempting to slam the spinning batons into Mai.

Mai, during her intense staring, leaps to her feet and crouches forward to better aid her mysticism. That is, until Megumi says something, which TOTALLY BREAKS MAI'S CONCENTRATION.
"Huh? Oh, hey, waitwaitwait--"
The kunoichi cringes back as the wall passes over her. She opens one eye, looks around, and relaxes. "Oh. Well that wasn't as weird as I thought it would be."
At this point, Mai becomes aware of a large English man running towards her with the intent to cause harm. This doesn't go over very well with Mai, who tenses up and then darts underneath Eagle's attack, skidding to a halt behind him. "Woah now, that first hit was enough, thank you!"
Which is why the kunoichi skips backwards and throws a tennis ball at Eagle.

By the time KQuad's gotten back into the arena, he's at a full out sprint, and after seeing Megumi heal Mai like that, the clone changes targets, his irritation focused more on Megumi now than Mai. After all, we can't have the enemy regaining it's strength like that! KQuad rushes towards the girl, her back turned to him, and lunges forward when the time's right. With a shout of "ARAAAAA!", he vaults towards her, hands outstretched.
Now, the goal here is to get his hands on her shoulders. If that happens, KQuad's going to grab the girl's forehead and step backwards, pulling her with him, and driving his knee forcefully into the back of her skull. With enough force to send her into the air. He'd then step to the side and simply press /downward/, slamming Megumi's poor head into the concrete floor of the arena... and stepping back. That is, if it all hit.

Megumi takes a moment to explain things to Mai. "It's just like back at your place that one time...but more sudden." Nice of her to explain the 'attack' after the fact. And then K9999 is moving in from behind. Megumi notices it and twirls around to face him, though she is grabbed successfully. The knee strikes, sending her in the air...but she backflips immediately, away from him; there will be no follow-up blow from K9999 right away. Megumi is quick to charge right back at him though, reaching for an arm and trying to drag it outward while planting a shoulder on his chest. If she gets it, she'll turn around, and bridge her body forward to fling K9999 over-shoulder, down to the ground of this open-air mall.

See, Eagle has learned to be wary of tennis balls. He's fought Momo. So, despite not knowing that the ball happens to be filled with lead, he can still expect something painful to come of it. The bouncer doesn't have much in the way of readily available projectile attacks of his own, though, unless he feels like throwing away one of his weapons, which would likely be a bad idea.
They are in a park, however, so there are rocks around. Eagle digs the toe of his shoe under a good sized one that is luckily nearby, kicking it up into the air. As it rises he swings out with both of his batons together, slamming them into the rock and sending it sailing toward Mai. It strikes the incoming tennis ball dead on, and then both missile wobble off course for a few moments before crashing harmlessly to the ground. "Now, now... We're just getting started!"
Mai stomps her foot, "Stop doing that!"
She's not going to give up, despite Eagle's apparently invulnerability. The kunoichi skips forward, then leaps again, twirling through the air, sending her 'tails' whirling around. "Ryuuuu Enbu!"
Cue giant explosion of fire. It's very good chi fire, in fact, looks just like the real thing.

KQuad simply grits his teeth, and lets Megumi flip him over her shoulder. However, halfway through the throw, he breaks free, and hits the ground rolling, suffering only minor scratches, bruises, and the like. A quick look towards Eagle earns the man a respectful nod, and then the clone brings his attention back to Megumi. His lips pull back in a sneer, and with an irritated "hmph!", he gets back to his feet, falling into his typical combat position.
"So we're playing like that?" K9999 doesn't do anything... he just stands still, for the moment. "I can play that way too, you know." He takes a look around, eyes on the audience, the cameras, Megumi, Mai, and Eagle. He's ready for whatever's coming, that's for certain.

Megumi keeps after K9999. Even as he gets out of the throw relatively unhurt, she's leaping into the air. "Like what? That was just trying to toss you around," Megumi asks/answers. Then she inverts in mid-air, right fist extended as her body twirls, divebombing towards K9999. Her fist is wrapped in red energy now, aiming to be driven into his chest.

Fire? Well, Eagle's dealt with fire before. And one way to put it out is by stomping it out. Clasping both of his batons together, he makes an upward swing at Mai and her incoming attack, intending to actually knock the explosion right out of the air, and possibly back into Mai's face. Wouldn't that be cool?
Too bad it doesn't work. The bouncer gets blown off his feet, clothes smoking as he crashes down to the ground, landing on his back. He coughs, and then issues a brief salute with one of his batons. "Happy to oblige... Ow."
Mai puts a hand over her mouth. "Did that actually work? Wow." She's starting to get a picture of Eagle's fighting style, which probably revolves around hitting people when they go to hit him. Armed with this fact, Mai decides that the last thing she wants to do is get near Eagle.
"...uh, hey, chill out for a second, 'kay?"
The kunoichi dashes over to Megumi's side of the arena. More accurately, she tries to run up behind K9999 for a surprise assault. One that consists of her whirling around in a complicated dance that involves razor sharp fans. Said fans will most likely be painful if they, you know, slice K9999 up real good. Hopefully, dealing with the barrage of slices will take the blue-haired kid's attention away from Megumi, because he's giving her the eye.

The smack to his chest causes the clone to stagger backwards, dropping to a knee as Mai runs in for the next hit in the "combo" or whatever... KQuad throws an arm up to deflect the fans, and simply batters through the damn things, suffering some cuts and scratches on his arm. Now. Up until this point, the clone'd been exhibiting a display of control that would have made Foxy proud. Ganged up on by two successful, popular women, losing a fight that he should, honestly, be doing better in... it's doing something /bad/ to the inferiority complex he's got. That one everybody knows and loves.
He hunches, eyes closed, lips pulled backwards, and stands up abruptly, right arm clutching his left, the left already starting to bubble suspiciously. He's learned a lot in recent months. Namely, how to control "outbursts" like this one. "Gang up on me?! I'll show you! I'll make this the worst choice you ever made!" KQuad throws his arm out towards Megumi, screaming, and as expected... the thing explodes, flesh and gore flying out to spatter the arena, combatants, and audience members. Tentacles, large, powerful, writhing things arc out towards the pink haired girl, and unless she can dod-
Suddenly, the entire digusting display rips to the left, the /truer/ object of K9999's current hate. The beautiful, popular kunoichi, Mai Shiranui. "Die! Die~! DIE!"
Megumi lands on her hands, cartwheeling sideways away from...an attack that doesn't even go after her. A feint. She's back up just in time to watch Mai be attacked...but she's not planning to spectate; the outcome of that assault isn't something she wants to idly sit by and see. Instead, she's running in and rolling just beside K9999, trying to grab at a leg and pull it with her as she goes by. If she gets it, he'll fall to the ground, where she'll raise the leg, then bend it forward (towards itself, basically) and twist the ankle.
And as K9999's arm erupts in a shower of gore, Eagle gives the boy a wide-eyed stare. He... wasn't really expecting that, honestly. Fireballs, sure. People strong enough to throw cars, sure. Giant tentacle-arms, not so much. He doesn't particularly care for the way K9999 is expressing his feelings toward Mai, either. "Hey now! I think you need to calm down, kid!"
There's not exactly much he can do to stop him, though. He would continue to press the attack on Mai, but it seems rather unsporting to attack her when she's about to be tentacled. And Megumi is right on top of 'Kay'... Not to mention the fact that Eagle is still somewhat in shock. So for the moment he just stands there, watching, trying to figure out what to do now.

Mai leaps back, fans at the ready. "Ha! No one expects a Shiranui ninj-OH CRAP."
K9999's huge, malformed, jiggling arm goes flying at her. Mai's eyes go wide, as she is paralyzed with WTF. Then she remembers that she's not wearing a school uniform, which gives her enough confidence to leap onto the arm.
Squish. "Ew, it's filled with jello or something!" Squishsquishsquishsquish. Mai goes running along the length of the arm, dodging tentacles along the way, all so she can get close enough to slide tackle K9999's head and wrench him to the ground with her mighty thighs.

He's thrown, and, luckily, as Mai runs along his arm, the whole thing dissipates, sending the girl to the ground with an unceremonious "thump". KQuad, meanwhile, is sent sailing through the air, bleeding all over. He lands on the ground, groaning, arm spasming rather... sickeningly, his body mending the damage that was done quickly enough, bones and flesh knitting and mending within seconds. But that's not to say he's ready to fight again, as a matter of fact, he's pretty floored right now. Taking a moment to see if he can even get back up.

Megumi is rather relieved to see Mai deal with that absolutely awful attack. Heck, the outcome and sheer visage of that grotesque arm shakes her for a few moments...but its moments that K9999 provides by staying down. After /that/ sort of attack, she certainly does plan to ensure he stays down. She stands up, brings a fist back...it's wrapped in energy a moment later, and then she kneels down to try and smash that fist into his gut, with another 'energy burst-out' if it connects.
Well, now that the whole arm thing is out of the way, Eagle can get back to the fight. That was disturbing, but a little thing like that isn't going to end the battle early. He gestures towards Mai with one of his batons, then nods briefly. "Terribly sorry, there. Don't know what got into the lad. But let's continue, shall we?"
As he finishes speaking, Eagle charges in toward Mai. He shifts his arms so that the ends of his batons are pointed toward the kunoichi, one at about head height, and one around the level of her stomach. As soon as he's within range he unleashes a lightning fast series of blows, attempting to drive the ends of the batons into Mai over and over, hopefully slipping past any defenses she might have.

Mai leaps back as K9999's hugearm turns into normalarm. Luckily, this puts her in a much better position to deal with Eagle's jabbing spree.
Gritting her teeth, the kunoichi raises her arms to block. The good news is that soon they're too numb to notice the second half of the blows! She smiles grimly, "Sure, let me just make sure he doesn't do that again!"
She doesn't move, but a huge explosion of fire erupts behind her, right where K9999 is taking a rest.

K9999 is hit by two attacks again, and, this time, isn't getting up. Not that, you know, he'd be expected to. The medical team rushes in, and just like Ms. Shiranui had predicted, is pretty fast in assembling the clone into a stretcher and leaving. As he's escorted out, however, he does take a moment to throw a rock at Eagle's head, snarling. It's not like, a big rock or anything.
"Nice backup. You're such a mother-fucking gentleman."

Megumi ceases her assault as K9999 stays down, jumping back from the plume of flames Mai created around him. "One down..." She looks at Mai, then at Eagle. "Guess we finish him now, huh." And with that, she sprints towards Eagle and...dives. Dives at his stomach, hoping to use a shoulder to tackle him to the ground.

Well, Megumi diving headlong toward Eagle's stomach does, in theory, make it fairly easy to stop her. Planting a baton in her face, for example, would probably make her day a bit less pleasant. She's a bit faster than he gives her credit for, however. "Hey now, you can sound a bit more enthusiastic than- oof!" And down he goes, slamming down onto the grass after the blow to the stomach knocks the wind right out of him.
Mai pauses. "Uh, sorry for not doing the one-on-one duel to the death honor thing!"
There, now she feels better.
The kunoichi braces herself, breathing out, and then...
...grabs a huge fan from thin air, leaps into the air, and throws it at Eagle. It's like four feet long, it's ridiculous. What's even more ridiculous is that somehow the single fan splits into three fans on the way over. Hooray for bludgeoning damage!
Megumi rises and backflips away from Eagle after the takedown, to clear room for Mai's attack. And then as the fans fall...Megumi flicks her wrist off to the side. A thin red energy line forms on her hand, racing up her arm, shoulder...down her body, down one leg, ending on her foot.
Then she jumps towards Eagle. The energy shoots off her foot, stopping in mid-air to expand into a wide cone with the tip pointing towards Eagle. Megumi lands in it feet-first, and once she does it accelerates towards him in an effort to slam past Eagle.

And... Man, ow.
Well, despite the long odds, Eagle wasn't planning to give up. There's not a really a chance to make that apparent, however, as the two girls deliver copious amounts of violence onto his person. The bouncer gets dazed by Mai's fans slamming into him, leaving him in no condition to do much about Megumi's cone of energy slamming into his chest, driving him all the way across the park until he slams into a tree, which cracks ominously under the impact.
The only good thing that can be said about it is that the tree keeps Eagle from falling over. Because it looks like he wouldn't have been able to get back up if he had. He coughs, some blood splattering his white shirt as he does so, but he keeps his batons raised. "Well fought, ladies. But what kind of fight would it be without a last hurrah?"
Summoning the last of his strength, Eagle lunges forward at Megumi, since she's the closest of his two opponents. He explodes into a blinding series of attacks, swinging his batons in at her from a wide variety of different angles, and with bone-cracking force. If he hits her, he continues pushing forward, trying to drive her back toward where Mai is, sucking the kunoichi into the same storm of blows. And if Megumi should get out of the way, well, turning around is pretty difficult at this point, so he'll just keep going for Mai anyway. At the end he unleashes another series of strikes with the ends of the batons, trying to strike as many weak points as possible. He ends rather abruptly though, as his body finally takes about all it can stand. His eyes roll up in his head as he makes an 'Erk!' sound, and then he topples forward heavily.

Well, Mai's certainly not going to have any of that. When Eagle starts rushing her way (with or without Megumi in tow), the kunoichi does about the only sensible thing to do in this situation: she backpedals until Eagle falls down.
"...whew! You're pretty good," she compliments the fallen Englishman, "You actually hit me!"
Mai turns to the roaring crowd, spinning around, somehow ending up in her robes again - this time with the addition of a large ornamental parasol, and flashes a peace sign.

Megumi is not going along with Eagle, nor is she struck. After that two-pronged assault, she figures there's no need to hurt him any further. When his series of strikes comes in, she kneels, hands thrusting up at Eagle's wrists and catching them just before the batons would strike her. She continues the upward motion to knock his weapons upward (but likely not out of his hand; just out of alignment to hit her), then rolls aside...figuring he's spent. Not quite; he continues on towards Mai, who also avoids it. "Yeah...um. That did look pretty interesting. No wonder you got put in this one, that stuff's not just for show." She sounds like she's honestly impressed.
But the match is over now. Megumi pumps a fist into the air, very pleased at the outcome before jogging over to Mai. "Looks like we did it after all. We oughta try that again sometime!" She's even fairly excited, reaching up to raise Mai's non-parasol hand up too.
