Description: Cammy and Mimiru do battle with Kain! And just barely manage to squeak out a victory. (Winner: Cammy and Mimiru)
The Shrine, during a lovely September afternoon. The air was cool, but not quite cold yet, and while the sun had not begun to set just yet, it was certainly getting close to that time. The Shrine, a peaceful spot in the middle of the forest, a clearing usually populated by animals and the gentle sounds of the wind through the trees.
But today, there were no animals. Likely no animals within fifty metres or so. Well, unless one counts Saturday Night Fight fans animals.
On the edges of the clearing, they were kept back by a thin rope strapped between metal poles, and their own fear of getting -too- close to the action. Fights were a dangerous thing to get too close to, after all. Especially with the energies some of the participants of today's fight enjoyed throwing around.
One of these participants, was Cammy White. Anxiously, the once-Doll waited on the steps to the Shrine itself, well away from the spectators. Dressed in a pair of hiking shoes, and a thick, one-piece swimsuit-looking garment, Cammy was protected against the cool that was beginning to set in by the blue windbreaker she was wearing, a emblem of a little globe with olive branches or whatever on the right side of her coat, over her chest. 'PACIFIC' was written over it with blue letters. Tapping her feet against the ground, Cammy's attention is drawn upwards towards a woman that steps away from one of the cameras ringing the area.
"Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen." The woman says pleasantly, yet still loudly enough to be heard over the crowd; the microphone she was holding helped quite a bit with that. Her bright smile matching the shine of the sequined purple dress she was wearing. "We have a interesting match for you this evening." The announcer says, turning her smile towards Cammy, and lifting a hand to gesture towards her. Cammy spots this, blinks, and rises to her feet, her bare hand going to the zipper on the front of her windbreaker, and unzipping it as the woman speaks. "On the first team, we have Cammy White, as well as Mimiru!" she cries, to various whistles, cheers, and other such sounds of encouragement from the gathered fans on the sidelines.
"And facing these two," the woman continues, "we have Kain R. Heinlein, the current champion of SNF!"
Champion. As if Kain cares about insignificant things like that. Still, he'll play along with Geese's games, for the time being. Despite being introduced, the Heinlein heir isn't visible at first. It's not like him to be late for a fight, though...
And then there are the sounds of murmuring from the crowed, and a noticeable ripple as people begin moving aside. Kain's usually not one to waste time with putting a lot of effort into a dramatic entrance, but he also has a presence that causes most people to think that standing in his way is a bad idea. The crowd parts in front of him as he makes his way to the cleared area in the center of the grounds, smoothly slipping under the rope keeping the audience out.
He looks around for a moment, observing the audience, but he doesn't seem to have any words for them. He's more interested in his opponents. Jiro's sister... Well, it wouldn't do to cause her too much harm. It might upset the boy. Perhaps in the future, though, something unfortunate happening to her might be enough to give Jiro a nudge in the proper direction. And then there's Cammy, who's shown such promise in the past. Kain hasn't run into her for quite some time, although he did meet one of the other Dolls. He eyes Cammy for a moment. "And how are you, Ms. White? I believe there's a 'sister' of yours who's looking for you. Young girl, orange hair..." She might even actually be Cammy's real sister for all Kain knows, but given the somewhat odd things he's heard from the Dolls, he's thinking there's something strange about the organization to which they belong.
And why does he mention this to Cammy? Simply to see her reaction. She's not a high priority for Kain, but knowledge is a very useful form of power, even if you don't always know right away how it can aid you...
First time in a tournament... And the notice you get? Come in wearing a swimsuit. A swimsuit... Just what kind of tournament was that supposed to be? It doesn't make it all that professional, that's for sure, it makes it more sound like someone's a bit perverted. Then again, perhaps they just wanted to have women fight in a mud or jello pit? Bleh. That thought definately isn't overtly appealing. At least, Mimiru's just a teenager, so it has to be for some other reason.
Nonethless, Mimiru comes to the appointed time with her swimsuit. A onepiece that is fairly common in Japan, the usual kind of swimsuit girls use at school. The dark navy blue swimsuit with the little snugging skirt that hugs her waist slightly to cover her groin.
Thankfully, it isn't a mud pit or anything. It appears to be just a normal fighting ground. Mimiru's eyes ventures around idly, as if trying to figure out where she should be or get at, considering the little crowd and all and instead of just losing herself in the crowd she decides to wait patiently for the time being.
Mimiru is clad in an autumn jacket. Just enough to keep herself warm but with her legs exposed, the breeze just makes her shiver every now and then. Being the new girl around, she doesn't really get as much cheers but being with Cammy, at least, she has a few persons rooting for her. When the announcer steps in, things keep a clearer and Mimiru smiles a bit, letting out an idle wave of her hand when her name is said, if only so that people can know who's the second person in the first team.
With the zipper of her windbreaker unzipped, Cammy was in the motion of shrugging off her jacket, as she turns her eyes to look upon Kain as he catches her attention with his words. Her shrugging motion halts, leaving her jacket half on, and half off. She had no memory of the man, but still she stares for a few moments after his question not because of any ghost of a memory, but simply because of the German's sheer -presence-.
"Juni." Cammy responds in a subdued tone, her brilliantly blue eyes dropping to the ground between the two as she shrugs her shoulders again, freeing her shoulders of her jacket, the student then casting the jacket away from herself, to flutter down upon the steps leading up to the shrine. Pursing her lips together, she lifts her eyes back up towards Kain. "Yes and no." is Cammy's only Juni-related response, before she continues on with answering the other question. Cammy didn't quite -believe- she was Juni's sister, or once a Doll, but she thought the poor girl was delusional.
"I am doing well, Mr... Heinlein." Cammy says. The announcer just announced his name to the world, anyways. But ah, she had a teammate, too! Flexing her powerful arms, Cammy interlaces her fingers and then raises her arms above her head, stretching out as her attention goes towards Mimiru, Cammy giving the other girl a smile and a nod. She was wearing something similar to what Cammy was! Maybe they fought in the same... style. Interesting.

For Kain's part, he's still wearing one of his usual suits, although this afternoon he's chosen to go with one that is black, with red trim, rather than the usual white and blue. He really does have closets full of the things. There are many things that Kain has little time for, and trying to stay abreast of the latest trends in fashion is one of them. /He's/ perfectly happy with his style, and really, who's going to call him on it?
He reaches into his pocket for a moment, and there's a glint of something metallic in his hand. "I suppose I should return this. It's no longer necessary." Kain tosses the object in Cammy's direction. There's not nearly enough force behind it to cause her any harm, though. Whether she catches it or it falls to the ground, the object is revealed to be a Shadaloo insignia, still with a scrap of purple cloth attached to it. Kain doesn't need to hang onto the original anymore, since he's had plenty of pictures taken of it, for research purposes.
And now that that is taken care of, Kain is ready for the fight. Shifting into his deceptively casual fighting stance, the German waits for the girls to make their own moves. Primarily, he's interested in seeing how Cammy reacts to the insignia. Of course, he's a bit mislead in his guesses for how she might react, being quite unaware of what's happened to Cammy. He got /some/ information out of Juni, but it wasn't really all that enlightening.

There swimsuits must be underneath -- They'll strip soon enough and reveal it. Though unfortunately, it does not seem that the main has anything akin to a swimsuit. A spedo perhaps? Not even in the least. It seems that only Cammy and herself are affected by this rule. At the very least, considering what the other woman wears, Mimiru doesn't feel too much out of place herself.
Mimiru stares and remains aside from their conversation for some time, taking her jacket off once the announcer's through with the presentation. The girl rests her jacket on one of the pole and she turns her attention back to the fight. She does a few idle 'sample' of stretches, considering how she did all the stretching before hand. Her gaze wanders off to Cammy and Mimiru gives her a wide smile, her right hand lifting up to give her a thumbs up. Looks like they'll be fighting alongside on that one.
Being more on the defensive herself, Mimiru just takes a few steps foward and she prepares herself, trying to assess this new opponent in front of her.

Well, Cammy wasn't going to be the one to call him on his style, that was for certain. As the golden insignia flies towards her, Cammy whips up a hand, palm towards Kain... and when the insignia touches her palm, she clutches her fingers around it, and then brings it up and around so that she can look upon it. There was no shock, or surprise on her features as she rolls that scrap of cloth between her fingers, just... curiousity, of a sort. "Hmm. Is this... mine?" she asks, with the disbelieving air of someone already expecting the answer to be yes.
Shrugging her shoulders, Cammy twists around to lightly toss the object unto the pile that her windbreaker had started. Cammy had no idea of the swimsuit rule, this... is what she felt most comfortable fighting in. At least she didn't have a thong anymore. "Do your best... Mimiru, right?" Cammy says with a small smile and a thumbsup in return, before looking back up towards Kain, and flashing him a thumbsup as well, before settling into a stance of her own. Unlike Kain's more casual stance, and possibly Mimiru's stance, Cammy's stance was active. Muscles tensing, fists rising above herself, the once-Doll bouncing from foot to foot at a fast pace... waiting... tensing...
"FIGHT!!" The announcer calls, and seemingly before she was finished even saying that word, Cammy was in motion. Darting forward towards Kain, and then to one side, the Pacific High student then takes a final hop that would hopefully bring her to the SNF Champion's side, where she can throw her arms around his middle... and then with a grunt, and a burst of Psycho Power lending strength to her limbs, heft him up over her head, and suplex him into the ground behind her.

Kain doesn't seem too perturbed by Cammy's lack of reaction to the insignia. Not quite what he was expecting, but it's not a huge concern. For the moment, the fight is what he needs to be paying attention to. And when Cammy comes rushing in toward him, well, Kain has ways of dealing with people at close range...
...Too bad that Cammy is a bit too quick to fall for it. Purple flames are starting to lick out from the openings in Kain's clothing even as Cammy wraps her arms around him, but by the time a full-fledged blaze leaps out from the German he's already been suplexed into the ground, away from Cammy. It's an impressive light show, and does some nasty damage to the grass, though.
"Don't worry, I know nothing else -but- the best. Always give your best." Mimiru states, giving Cammy an idle nod as the fight begins. While Mimiru's stance focuses more on the mistakes made by her enemy, a team battle is much different than self defense. The girl simply waits and evaluates the situation, and when Cammy's assault seems to turn in her favor, Mimiru bites her lips as she considers her course of action, only for a few seconds before she dashes right into action as well to give up support to Cammy's attack.
Right after Cammy's suplex, Mimiru lunges right at Kain, hoping to catch him down before he gets back up to just kick him while he's on the ground. Dirty? Perhaps. Though it's legal. Weaken them while you can.
Nasty damage to the grass, and it makes Cammy hop. Already commited to the manuever, however, Cammy follows through... only to take a few quick hops away from Kain, her eyes widening as she clenches her fists tighter at her sides. Purple flames from everywhere wasn't... expected. Slightly unsettled, the young woman clenches her fists even -tighter- and raises them in front of herself, Cammy squaring her jaw as her entire body stills, and begins to tense. One may get the impression of a spring coiling, gathering energy to explode outwards soon.

Dirty, and effective. Kain doesn't have enough time to get up before Mimiru slams her foot into him. He seems somewhat less bothered by that than by being driven into the ground by the suplex, however. It's not too hard to judge Cammy as the more dangerous fighter... although if Kain gets a good shot at Mimiru he'll probably take it.
The fact that Cammy seems to be preparing for something isn't lost on him, either. So while he gets to his feet, he gives Cammy something to occupy herself with, in the form of ball of purple flame which launches out from his hand and zooms through the air toward the ex-Doll.
At least, Mimiru proves to be a little distraction! And when Kain actually attempts to harm Cammy, Mimiru lets out a snort out of her throat and she says, "Heh come on now, don't let the size fool you." Her lips curl a bit into a smile as Kain shifts his attention to her teammate. The girl dashes over on Kain and when he tries to fire off some purple flame at her, Mimiru literally runs at him to try and tackle him, or just enough to perhaps shake off his aim and to hopefully help Cammy dodge that incoming blast.
And so, Mimiru just rushes on Kain head on, as if she's just tries to ram him.

Oh now he was -throwing- the fire. She really, really should've expected that, considering the way he was seemingly flaming from every portion of his body, but for some reason, that didn't quite register. Until far too late, of course. As the fireball streaks towards her, Cammy releases a quick gasp, and attempts to fling herself to one side, keeping her right foot pointed earthwards to make her eventual landing just a bit easier... when the fireball strikes her anyways, knocking her from the air, where she hits the ground on her side, and rolls away from Kain.
A roll that Cammy stops soon enough. Whipping out her still extended right leg, Cammy stops her roll with that, and bursts up to her feet... and pauses a moment, to give her head a shake, and to regather her wits. That... hurt. A lot. Setting a determined expression on her features once more, Cammy lowers her torso closer to the ground, pauses... and then explodes in a forward sprint towards Kain, the girl keeping her body low. What did she intend to do? Well, when she got close enough, pause, and fall down to one knee... before launching herself upwards towards Kain's head, the girl inverting herself as she flies upwards, her right foot leading as she pulls her left foot out of the way. And as she does so, her right foot begins to blaze with a light bluish sort of energy, a sparking sort of flame that looks nothing like the purple fires Kain wielded. "CANNON SPIKE!" she cries during her upwards ascent.

And Mimiru's attempt to tackle Kain is just... stopped. He extends a hand at chest level toward the girl, and barely even seems to budge when she crashes into him. However, as seems to be the case when Kain deals with multiple opponents, pushing aside the lesser threat ends up leaving him open to the greater, despite his best efforts to the contrary. Kain tries to use his free arm to defend himself, but Cammy's foot slips past his guard, striking him in the chin and causing his head to jerk back violently... but he holds his ground.
While Cammy is coming down from her attack, Kain's gaze slides over to Mimiru for a moment. So, she wants him to take her seriously? Well, Kain's never one to hold back, regardless of the skill of his opponents. He gives Mimiru a brief shove with the hand that deflected her tackle, then quickly swings his foot up in a nasty looking kick to the jaw, purple flame trailing in its wake. Should the attack strike home, that same flame explodes quite violently.

It's a good thing that Kain does not underestimate Mimiru -- because despite her diminutive height and her slender frame, Mimiru's fighting style, unlike her brother's own, relies especially on foretelling her enemy's move and use them against them. Which gives her a much less reckless way to deal with her opponent and a pretty more calculated one.
Even if her initial's rush is easily handled, Mimiru grunts a bit as she's shoved backward, and it takes her a few steps backward to maintain her balance. She staggers slightly and then bites her lips, recovering quickly enough to prevent him from actually hitting her. While Mimiru does not dodge that one, her she actually staggers back to prevent from being harmed, though her hands go up to actually block his kick. Quickly, her hands secure a tight grasp over his foot and she just slides foward to destablize him while she holds his leg. Mimiru just pulls on his leg and she uses her own to actually sweep him off his legs and shove him down back on the shrine's ground.
Well now. That was impressive. Backflipping off of Kain after her successful attack, Cammy lands in a deep crouch, holding her arms out to the sides as she bears witness to Mimiru's counter-attack upon Kain. Hmm. Launching herself upwards from the deep crouch, Cammy spins in the air, her body flipping through the air as well as she straightens her body... and hopefully, she would land with both feet; right on top of Kain's chest, before the man has a chance to get up. That was the plan, at any rate.

Being able to attack with overwhelming power sometimes means that he doesn't have to show it, but Kain is fairly agile. Apart from his proficiency with chi, his fighting style is quite well rounded, and leaves him with few real weaknesses. And the ability to move quickly when necessary. Mimiru's quick reaction to his attack sends him crashing into the ground, but he doesn't give Cammy the chance to capitalize on it.
He shoves off the ground with one hand, twisting himself out of the way, letting Cammy's feet slam into the dirt instead of him. As his other hand starts coming up it begins to glow with purple flame, and he swipes it toward Cammy while he spins, sending a thin wave of fire shooting up toward her, then continues the motion, twisting himself around to land on his feet in a crouching position, from which he quickly rises.
This time, Cammy is on her own. While Mimiru would like to help her out, she doesn't want to rush in further than she has to. After all, her speciality is receiving attacks and avoiding being hurt, not actually harming others. She staggers back a little, giving herself a few seconds to catch her breath back. She bites her lips softly, and she uses those few seconds to just revaluate everything and raise her guard up once more. Awareness is the key to victory, after all!

In fact, one might say that Kain gets the better of this exchange. Cammy's feet slam into dirt, the young woman whipping around towards Kain, teeth bared as she releases a soft hiss.
Just in time for her widening eyes to see the flames rising towards her. The wave of fire washes over her, the girl releasing a shouted scream as she staggers away from Kain, slapping at herself reflexively to put out the flames. That would've been fine, barring the fact that she didn't have anything that was burning.
A quick shudder runs through her, right before she makes her counterattack. The beginning of the counter attack may be deceptive. Cammy lurches forward, appearing as though she was falling to the ground, and indeed she was... but the manuever was deliberate. Catching herself on her hands, Cammy kicks up off of the ground into a handstand. If things went well, she would be doing a handstand in front of Kain.
Indrawing a deep breath, Cammy releases that breath in a shout, and launches herself off of the ground as her legs begin to blaze brightly with bluish energy, the girl twisting around as she ascends, hopefully catching the underside of Kain's chin with her spinning kick... and bathe him in her energy, while she was at it.

Ryu has connected.
Without the distraction of Mimiru, it seems that Kain is ready to deal with Cammy's attack. Her kick slams into Kain's crossed forearms, and although the impact causes a shudder to run through the German's body, it doesn't appear to have done him a huge amount of damage. The physical effects of Psycho energy are still quite painful of course, but the deeper effects are generally lost on Kain, except when used by the most powerful of wielders. Beneath his prettyboy exterior lies an iron will and rock solid determination.
All this means, in effect, is that Kain has little trouble with reacting quickly after deflecting Cammy's attack, hopefully while she's still in the air. He uncrosses his arms, raising his right arm up as a blue glow engulfs his right hand. He then drives his fist down, attempting to drive the chi shrouded fist into the pit of Cammy's stomach, and slam her all the way down to the ground.
Letting Cammy handle things on her own does not seem like the best option there is. Mimiru bites her lips as things do not seem to be going overtly well for her partner. After all, she has been taking all the shots up to now but then again, they don't quite have the same fighting style. Trying to make up with some compromise, Mimiru rushes over to Kain and she tries to use the fact he's beating up on Cammy as an opportunity to get by him and close by.
And so, Mimiru just tries to throw Kain off his feet once more. She reaches for one of his arm, and while she pulls on it she actually tries to sweep him off his feet at the same time, in a similar fashion than she did last time, if it's not for the fact that she holds his arm instead of his leg.

It was more a feeling that she got, than anything else, that warned her that her attack didn't quite succeed just like she wanted it to. Twisting around in mid-air, Cammy only had enough time to drop her right forearm from where it crossed with her left before her chest, and put it right into the path of the punch. That... didn't quite help take all the pain away, and it didn't stop Cammy from flying at a severe downward angle towards the ground. But it also didn't stop Cammy from flipping forward as she falls, to land on her feet in a crouch, her back to Kain. Far more gentle a landing than what Kain had in mind.
Almost frog-like, Cammy leaps upwards from that crouch, backflips once... and while Mimiru was hopefully manhandling Kain, Cammy would seek to land on his shoulders, a thigh on each of the man's shoulders. And if Mimiru didn't quite succeed in knocking Kain to the ground? Cammy would try that herself, throwing herself backwards, and backflipping as her thighs clench around his neck. Hopefully, that would end with the top of Kain's head smashed into the ground. Kain's arm gets snared by Mimiru, but he's too well braced for the girl to knock him off his feet. However, having somebody hanging onto his arm makes it rather harder for him to deal with Cammy, who manages to wrap her legs around his neck. Kain's quite composed enough for the situation itself not to perturb him, but having his head slammed down into the ground isn't exactly pleasant.
Having had several experiences along those lines now, Kain is coming to the conclusion that going after the less experienced fighters first in these sorts of matches would be a good idea. It's a bit late now, but maybe he can at least keep Mimiru from causing him too much more trouble. The German extends one hand toward the girl, and a ball of blue flame appears in front of his palm. It quickly swells to massive size, with crackling energy floating around the roiling chi making up the orb itself, which quickly launches out from Kain's hand, looking to engulf her.

Least experienced hardly means being totally defenseless. Even if Mimiru doesn't possess much field experience, she definately masters her own techniques and knows how to keep herself composed and calm under stressing situation. Mimiru growls and she staggers backward to get a safe distance between Kain, however, she hardly has the time to get away that he fires off that expending flame right at her.
Mimiru's eyes widen and she literally throws herself out of the way, rolling on the ground and swiftly, getting back to her feet, the jump and roll seeming so easy for her. Such gymnastic is her speciality after all, and instead of waiting on the defensive, seeing how this man can actually fire things off at her, Mimiru has little other choice but to engage in close combat instead of waiting for him. So she rushes over him, her right hand opens up and with a little bit of chi energy, she attempts to strike Kain in his midsection with her palm, the discharge of chi energy being the big part of that attack.
Rolling away from the fallen Kain, Cammy rises up to her feet once more, squaring her shoulders, and lifting up her fists in front of herself as she glances towards Mimiru. That girl was much stronger than she looked! But it wasn't over yet, and Kain had taken a serious beating so far... and was still standing. Hopefully, Cammy could change that. "YA!!" she cries, hoping to draw the German's attention her way as she begins to charge towards the man in sprinting steps... right before launching herself towards him, feet first.
Slapping her arms over her chest, Cammy begins to spin lazily... not quite the rapid spin of the other times she tried the move in the past, but then again, she didn't have her weighted gauntlets to assist her. As she seeks to plant her feet in Kain's gut, or back, her feet begin to blaze with that energy of her hers again, adding a bit of punch to the spiraling kick.

Kain tries once again to just swat Mimiru away, but he's getting a bit worn down. Not to mention that the girl really is a lot more Hardcore(tm) than she looks. She manages to slip in past his guard and slam her palm into his midsection with a flare of energy... which is met by a flash of blue light from Kain's body. He grunts slightly, but the level of the chi energy running through his body at all times is enough to blunt Mimiru's strike considerably. Still. The fact that she managed to land the blow at all means she has a fair deal of promise. Perhaps he'll have to speak to Jiro...
Because Mimiru's attack doesn't manage to slow him down too much, Kain is able to meet Cammy's attack head-on. As her feet fly in toward him, Kain lashes out with a flaming kick of his own. He's struck by Cammy's feet, but between her own momentum, the force of his kick, and the fiery explosion that results from it, it seems that he got the better of the exchange.
"Leave her alone!" Mimiru says, letting out a growl as Kain literally just puts all of his efforts on Cammy. She deserves some more time herself, after all! Cammy's in a bad shape and Mimiru? Well Mimiru didn't get much of a scratch it seems. She growls and lunges at Kain, her hands clenching into fists as she goes for quick jabs at him, to try and annoy him enough to get him off from Cammy.
Blown away from Kain by the force of the kick, Cammy lands flat upon her back some distance away, staring up at the sky with her widening eyes. That hurt... a lot. Too much. Bringing her legs up, the young woman kipups to her feet... and staggers a step forward to fall down to one knee, her right hand raising to clutch her forehead. She was getting lightheaded, and dizzy, and... her limbs felt so heavy, but... breathing heavily now, Cammy lifts her eyes up towards Kain, and drops her hand, forcing her mind to think, focus, and calculate. If she approached that way, Kain might dodge that way, but it would be hardest to defend against... there. Lock on.
Leaping upwards from her crouch, Cammy leaps a too-high leap straight up into the air, bending her knees and bringing them up, as she lifts her hands with the jump as well. But suddenly, she jabs out a foot towards Kain, twisting around as she begins to streak downwards towards Kain at a lightning-fast pace. If the first hit strikes him in the shin, it would be followed by kick after kick, to head, chest, and leg, the kicks done incredibly fast, and leaving a blue trail of sparking faux flame trailing after them... until they stop suddenly, Cammy standing in front of Kain, before she slouches down into a kneel. That is, if everything went the way she planned.

Kain tries not to let Mimiru distract him, because he knows Cammy is going to be coming in for another assault... but it's hard not to be at least somewhat offput by somebody punching you. And in his attempts to deal with Cammy, he's not able to put up much of a guard to deal with Mimiru... So one of the punches manages to hit a particularly sensitive spot, causing him to flinch, and giving Cammy the opening she needs. Stars fill his vision as Cammy batters him around, and as she finally falls to her knees he staggers, trying to deflect the last of Mimiru's blows.
His vision is swimming, but it looks like Cammy has run out of steam. He probably only has time for one more attack before he succumbs to his injuries, but if he makes it count...
Ignoring any further blows from the girl, Kain simply sticks his hand out, shoving it just a few inches from Mimiru's face, a blue glow already surrounding it. A split second later, a massive wall of blue chi blasts out from Kain, ripping through the ground and sending dirt and grass flying as it plows into Mimiru.
Oh, yeah. And then Kain collapses.
That's why Mimiru specializes in avoiding attacks. Because being hit if only once just hurts too much. That's the trick to victory, avoid all kind of damage but unfortunately, eventually, she runs out of luck eventually. Being this close it's hard to do anything and so, she lifts her arms up to try and protect herself against the massive surge of chi, but that does little help to actually keep her out of harm's way.
And bang. That blast just literally hurls her off some distance away, thrown off by the force of the blast. The petite girl literally flies off for a good couple of feet and despite her natural talents to do landing, this one time she doesn't seem to have any kind of reflexes to catch herself, she just literally crumbles down and rolls about rather uncharismatically on that one. And then... There's a long moment where everyone seems to be off and unconscious, unable to fight but then... No, not yet, Mimiru isn't! At least she grumbles and she forces herself to her knees, her whole body trembling in pain but still, she's not out of it yet.
Well, Cammy wasn't going to do much else. Breathing heavily where she knelt, with face pointing towards the ground, it seemed hard for the girl to even stay concious, at the moment. So instead of staying in that kneel, Cammy kinda slumps to one side, and curls up into a tight ball, awaiting the arrival of the medical team. They were likely already on their way!
