SNF 2005.09 - Dong Hwan vs Geese

Description: Dong Hwan's tardiness wins him a solo match with Geese Howard himself. (Winner: Geese)

Amazing, Dong Hwan showed up on time, or nearly, at least. Strutting on in to the designated crime scene--as this will probably be a murder in one way or another--from the main entrance of the Airport, Dong Hwan seems in high spirits with a typical grin bright on his face, apparently unaware of what exactly he's getting himself in to.
Coming face to face with the renowned and loved-by-all proprietor of Howard Enterprises, not to mention the current bad dude in charge of SNF, the Korean boy is already hopping from foot to foot, preparing his body for the fight to come. His legs and arms are stretched out for just a moment, before he adopts a posture that looks more like he's in a dance off rather than a fight, arms crossed over his chest as he slouches to one side. "Let's see what you got, goose!" Eh, he's lazy with the name calling, today, and doesn't have much to insult him about that isn't his name, just yet.

"Hmph." Geese is lazy in his own way. Namely, his posture is very 'non-combative', arms folded in front of him. "What I've got? I've got a religious event for you. I'm sure you've heard of Jesus Christ. Perhaps even invoked his name when you bump your toe against something. And most people know that in one religion, his blood washed away our sins. Lucky us."

Geese has a rather predatory attitude. He's in a lazy posture, but his attention is completely centered on Dong Hwan. "Today, we're going to re-enact that. Except that it will be your blood that washes away your own sins. Perhaps after this you'll learn not to spoil matches. Time is money, and you have wasted a lot of my time." One arm unfolds, hand beckoning towards himself. "Come on."

COMBATSYS: Geese focuses on his next action.

"What are you talking about? You're crazy." Dong Hwan retorts as disrespectful as ever, hand lifting up in his direction to wave off at him. "/Mostly/ because you think you can beat me, but that's just for starters."
Deciding to skimp on the rest of the insult slinging, Dong Hwan just opts to start things off, flinging himself at Geese in the most fearless manner. True hero's aren't scared of the counter. Lifting a leg when he moves in close, Dong Hwan lifts it high at first, looking as if he was going to perform his own little Tiger Knee at Geese's chin, even making a short hop when he moves closer. But actually, the leg is lifted high so that Dong Hwan can stomp down hard, the leg impacting against the bottom of Geese's shin. The kick is augmented by a sudden, and short, jolt of electric energy, enough to knock a lesser man over. On the other hand, Geese might enjoy the tingling stimulation it provides.

COMBATSYS: Geese counters Shiden Kyaku from DongHwan with Joudan Atemi Nage.

Geese is completely unimpressed by Dong Hwan's boasting. "I can beat you. I might get in trouble for violating child abuse laws, of course..." Incoming kick. A high one aiming to swing down low. Geese reaches right through the electricity without harm to himself at all, grabbing the leg with both hands before lifting him up, spinning him upside down, and smashing Dong Hwan down onto the hallway floor. It's carpeted, but that doesn't take off much of the sting. "But as you can see, I can beat you. If you have any sense at all, you'll settle for getting back into my good graces with putting in a good effort."

Dong Hwan is captured and not surprisingly slammed to the ground, grunting loudly from the pain. Okay, he's felt worse, but that sure did hurt like crazy. Which makes it clear to Dong Hwan that Geese is cheating, somehow. Picking his crumpled form up from the ground, Dong Hwan not surprisingly says, "Yeah, guess you're exempt from the whole steroid abuse thing, Mr. Bigmoney?" A pause. "Oh, you'll get a good effort. I'll take you down!" Even the initial counter hasn't done much to deter his confidence. Maybe in a few more hits.
Deciding a new method, as it's unlikely Geese has gotten too far away after the counter attack, Dong Hwan launches a flurry of kicks for his opponents chest, totaling 6 with one leg. The kicks hopefully wear on him enough that the final kick, done by planting the first foot down and spinning on it to bring the other around and kick Geese solidly in the side, will knock Geese a decent distance away. If it lands.

COMBATSYS: Geese counters Ashi Binta from DongHwan with Chuudan Atemi Nage.

Geese sees absolutely no reason to move from where he is. "Steroids? You're mistaking ambition and immortality for drug abuse." Dong Hwan's kicks are dealt with casually, each one knocked aside with an arm. It's the sixth one that's stopped, by snatching the foot and swinging it upward to take Dong Hwan off-guard and out of proper stance. Palms cupping together, Geese then shoots out blue chi ray, one that starts out broad but narrows down to a pinpoint by the time it strikes Dong Hwan and blasts him away. "You can give up at any time. I was upset about you negotiating a draw, not surrendering when outmatched." He hasn't taken one step from where he started the fight from.

"Immortality? Hah, you wish! I'll show you how mortal you are." But not that way, apparently. Dong Hwan is snagged and indeed bounced away. "Hyrk!" He cries out, skidding a short distance along the ground. A hand touches where the small chi blast hit him, causing a wince. The hand pulls away quickly as his lips purse, staring across at Geese thoughtfully for just a moment, before it hits him. Can't counter if Dong Hwan doesn't attack. "Heck no, I don't give up. Besides, I've figured you out." Dong Hwan says, jumping around in place for a moment, getting himself hyped up, small sparkles of yellow, electric chi forming around him, even. "You can't /really/ fight, you just stand there and counter things that come your way. Why don't you try to attack me, huh, or don't you know how to?"

COMBATSYS: DongHwan gathers his will.

"You're correct. Partially so. My defense is very good, and I could probably win this fight with nothing but that if you were stupid enough to let me." Geese then seems to 'glide' along the ground; he's not moving his feet, but he is nonetheless heading towards Dong Hwan without jumping, elbow extended to drive into the solar-plex. From there, a punch to the face is the next thing Geese tries, and he ends it with bringing his palms together like he did in his last defensive technique...only there is no chi-ray this time. Instead, he's driving his palms towards Dong Hwan's chest to knock him back.

COMBATSYS: DongHwan interrupts Jaeiken from Geese with Ore-sama Hou-Ou Kyaku.

Okay, so, Dong Hwan doesn't quite have the flawless countering techniques that Geese does. Nor does he have quite the force that Geese does behind his moves. But he's got nothing if not drive, and thus without fear of the damage it could cause, hits are traded, the ten kicks of various forms spread out all across Geese's body starting at the same time as the three hits impact him, his own legs flying out and smacking against Geese causing Mr. Howard's own hits to impact a bit less painfully than they might've otherwise. They hurt, of course, but it doesn't slow Dong Hwan, who after delivering the kicks finishes up with a final, lightning charged kick, energy surrounding his leg as he kicks Geese in the chin, Dong Hwan himself going airborne whether or not he can manage to lift the other fighter at all. A backwards flip follows, before Dong Hwan lands, ending up on one knee, a little too drained from Geese's attacks to land gracefully. In all reality, Dong Hwan may have did less damage than the technique he interrupted, and yet it was still a clean hit, which is all he really wanted.

Geese gets as far as the punch to the face, before Dong Hwan...actually manages to overcome his barrage and start driving him back, then up into the air. When all is said and done, he falls on his back and gets up quickly, but with his smug, arrogant mood diminished. "Excellent. That's what I was looking for. Now that I've seen it, there's not much of a point in dragging this out. Double," One arm swings up high, creating a motionless blue crescent-wave of chi. "Reppuken!" The other arm mimics this motion, making the wave larger and sending it racing down the hallway carpet towards Dong Hwan.

COMBATSYS: Geese successfully hits DongHwan with Double Reppuken.

The impact is enough to probably make Dong Hwan want to take up punching, because his legs give out from underneath him. It's no surprise that, when he repeats his previous attack, there is about 5 kicks, and 6 punches total, instead of all kicks. Dong Hwan is, for all his laziness, not about to just concede because his legs are on the verge of never working again. A final chi-powered kick sending both combatants airborne a second time finishes the attack once again, before Dong Hwan falls back down to the floor, landing flat on his back, either unconscious or dead, one of the two.

COMBATSYS: DongHwan can no longer fight.

Geese turns and walks away after his Double Reppuken connects, pretty sure that Dong Hwan is unconscious from it. No, not quite. It's a case of very keen observation, feeling the shift in the air as Dong Hwan hurriedly moves in for one last assault.

Geese does not even turn around. "Raging..." His wrists cross over his head, and begin to descend towards the floor even as he's on the receiving end of several blows. "STORM!" His hands strike the carpet, and end the blows abruptly by virtue of creating a massive 'chi cage' around himself, blue towering crescents rising into the air all around him. One such wave catches Dong Hwan, pummelling him and blasting him into the ceiling and then letting him fall to the ground. He's almost certainly unconscious from that.

"Hmph. A nice try. But when you wake up and see this on replay, let me tell you something." Geese nudges Dong Hwan with a foot. Just a nudge, as opposed to a hard kick; he's done enough damage and isn't out to cripple/kill the lazy lout. "If you keep that sort of behavior up, you will continue to be in matches like this. Saturday Night Fight is a business, and much as you're paid well for fighting, I only get money if the matches are interesting. No more showing up half an hour late, no more negotiated draw outcomes. But..." Geese smiles. "I think you've learned your lesson. I hope you have. And you gave a very good effort today. Because of that, I'm giving you a reward. You're still getting the loser's pay for this match, which won't amount to much in your case...but the next time you sign up to fight, I'm going to let you book your own fight. Subject to my final approval, of course, but anything I find interesting enough will probably be accepted."

And then Geese walks off. He is by no means unscathed, Dong Hwan did land some good blows. But he's not all that winded, and plans to go relax rather than rest.

Dong Hwan smoulders.

COMBATSYS: Geese has ended the fight here.
