And it's that time of the week again, folks. It may be early in the afternoon, but that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of people here at the Pao Pao Cafe to watch today's fight. In fact, a few cleverly scheduled lunch specials mean that even people who might not necessarily want to watch the fight are here today. But it's not the food that's drawing most of the crowd, good as it is.
No, people are here to see some violence. And if Eagle has anything to say about it, it'll be stylish violence. Holding both of his sticks in one hand, and a microphone in the other, Eagle stands in the center of the cafe, in an area that's been cleared out to provide room for the fight, and surrounded by diners who want a good view of the action. "I hope you've all made yourselves comfortable folks, because you're not going to want to miss a minute of this afternoon's performance! We've got May Lee taking on Karin Kanzuki, with a little bit of interference from yours truly." A brief grin. "And now, the lovely ladies who will be putting on the show for you fine folks..." Eagle tosses the microphone aside to a Pao Pao employees, swapping one of his escrima sticks to his free hand, then gestures with each one toward a side of the cleared area, to the spots where May Lee and Karin will be entering.

Stylish fighting, indeed. The spots come up on the far side of the bar, where a lone girl is enjoying a glass of iced tea at a table. Flipping blonde curls over her shoulder, she stands and reveals herself to be none other than Karin Kanzuki, wearing her typical expression of wry smugness. She's dressed differently than normal, however; the fuku blouse is gone, with only the black leather midriff top left, and instead of a skirt she wears red gi trousers slightly reminiscent of the trademark Ken Masters variety.
Taking one last sip of her tea, Karin gives a wave to the crowd and then begins making her way to the fight area, stretching and cracking her knuckles when she arrives. "Be they low or high-born, skilled or novice, I, Karin Kanzuki, will honor the Kanzuki motto, 'Be the victor in all things'!." She watches the other side expectantly. Bring on the May Lee!

The May Lee is not long in coming. Looking much better than their meeting last night, the young Korean stepping to her side of the little cleared area with a skip in her step. She's dressed very much like she usually is, blue fingerless gloves with little red bands around the wrists on her hands, a pair of flaring gray pants with black stripes down each side, sneakers, and, of course, the t-shirt with a animal design. The shirt for today was... a dark green shirt, with a cartoon-style, smiling chimpanzee head smack dab in the center of her chest.
Grinning widely towards Karin, May turns around on one heel, and lifts a fist in the direction of the crowd and releases a whoop, her grin becoming a dazzling smile as she turns back around towards Karin, and settles into a more traditional Tae Kwan Do stance. "Good luck, then! But you're going to have to earn this victory, Karin!" May Lee calls to her opponent.
Eagle drops his left arm to his side, although his right arm is held out in front of him, stick twirling around his fingers as he spins it rapidly, seeming hardly to even have to pay attention to it to do so. "Okay then. Let's keep this fight clean, girls! And..." He snaps the stick out of its spin, thrusting his arm out between the girls, weapon held in a straight line. "Let's fight!"
Drawing his arm back, Eagle settles into his own fighting stance, sticks held in front of him, ready to deal with any attack, even though that's not something he's likely to have to worry about today. Time to let the girls get started, and then the Chaos Agent part of his role begins.
Karin gives Eagle a nod, then looks to May Lee. "I plan to. But..." She slips easily into the Kanzuki kakutoujutsu style, a relaxed stance with slightly bent knees and hands positioned for easy movement near the torso. "Be it victory or loss, every fight..." And now we would typically superimpose a picture of Shingo looking like a big optimistic dork here, or perhaps an additional frame-in-frame of Sakura smiling like a goofball. "...brings me closer to ultimate victory!"
And then she's rushing in toward May Lee, off to a springing start. "Since my opponent is a Taekwondo master, allow me to show you some of the kicking techniques of the Kanzuki style!" Planting her left foot, Karin brings her right leg upward in a scything forward arc kick, with a second identical kick from the left leg bringing her into the air for a fraction of a moment, and attempting to lift May Lee right out of her seat, as it were. "Mujin Kyaku!"

Mmm, the Pao Pao. A popular and trendy restaurant amongst students as well as choice of a SNF match for this weekend. Shingo was certainly not here for the food. He came to watch this fight. Karin and May Lee. Both of whom he knows...well, can't say very well. But he knows them a little. Having had conversations with the blonde and having had his so-called 'student' win May Lee's power belt in a fight wager. As such, he isn't here to support any one fighter specifically. If one were to ask him who he was rooting for, he'd just say 'Oh. I hope the girl wins.'. That is if pressed. Being that he is taller than generally most people Shingo has a clear view of the stage for today's violence. His voice may not be heard over the crowd and the din of the restaurant well, but nonetheless he shouts out at the top of his lungs, "Woooo! Go Karin! Go May Lee! Let's see a great fight!"
"I'm not quite a master yet!" May Lee says as Karin approaches, her smile fading a bit as a look of concentration overtakes her face. As Karin moves in towards her, May tries to move out of the way, to take the blow on a less sensitive part of her body... and ends up taking the kick directly in her face, the blow lifting her up into the air a bit, before the second blow takes her further into the air. Her painful reunion with the ground comes a few moments later.
It was still early on in the fight though, and May wasn't out of things yet! A bit of blood was trickling out of one of May's nostrils as she hops up to her feet, and without a moment's hesitation, dashes towards Karin, aiming a high kick at her face. The kick, should it even strike, would only be a light 'jab' sort of kick, a setup for May Lee to hop up into the air, curl her legs up like a frogs, place both soles upon Karin's face... and kick out as she backflips, giving Karin a harsh shove with both her feet.
And now it's time for Eagle to step into things. Since Karin launched the first attack, it looks like she's going to be the first to receive the bouncer's attentions. He's going to start things out slow, though. No sense in showing off all the flashy stuff straight away, right?
And so, as May Lee attempts to plant her feet in Karin's face, Eagle is coming in from the blond girl's flank, lashing out with a sweeping strike from one of his sticks toward her back.

Well... damn. The blonde (well, the female blonde) was clearly not expecting a double assault so quickly into the match, and the surprised expression on her face shows it. However, as a credit to her fighting sense, Karin moves with unexpected speed; May Lee's incoming foot is caught in her open left palm, and Eagle's escrima stick in her right hand. Knitting her brow in consternation for just a moment as to how she's going to get OUT of this little setup she's just concocted for herself, Karin simply *pushes* out with both hands. May Lee's momentum is likely redirected away harmlessly, but Eagle's strike has too much force not to do a little damage.
Breathing heavily, Karin falls back into her stance. "Ha... ha. Not easy to do that sort of thing," she admits. Has she been brainwashed? Is Shingo secretly a hypnotist? "But I can't let anything get in my way!"
Harmlessly redirected away? Not quite. With a squeak as her little manuever was pushed aside, May loses control of her intended backflip, flying upside down away from Karin, the Korean flying through the air with arms flailing... before she lands upon her head. That was before flopping to the ground, and also before May reaches up to her head and grasps it with both hands, hissing something to herself as she gets to her feet, rubbing her head with both hands.
After a moment's time, she drops her hands, and rolls her neck, grinning over at Karin; although... the grin wasn't quite as dazzling as before. "That was good! But get ready! Here I come again!" May Lee calls, before dashing over towards Karin, hoping to grab her by her shoulders. Should May find a grip upon Karin's shoulders, she would launch herself over the blonde's head with both that grip, and a mighty leap, flipping upside down as she goes to deliver a short, sharp kick to the back of Karin's head. Hopefully.
After his strike is blocked, Eagle quickly backs off from Karin, turning his attentions toward May Lee. The Korean fighter is moving pretty quickly though, making it tricky to get in a clean shot. Eagle spots a potential opening as May Lee begins her attack on Karin, though. Flipping upside down makes it pretty hard to defen yourself after all, unless you're really paying attention. Things like a long wooden rod swinging in quickly to crash into your shoulder, for example.

May Lee's second effort is much more successful; her flip does indeed give her Karin's back, and while her opponent's attempt to dodge at least keeps the followup from smacking her in the back of the head, the Korean fighter's kick instead lands in the small of Karin's back... not much better. Twisting as she spins away, the Kanzuki heiress gives May Lee and nod and a smile. "Your moves are showy, but that gives you a psychological edge over your opponent if she's not careful."
Falling back into a stance, Karin sizes May Lee up and then nods, mostly to herself, before rushing in on her own. "Allow me to respond with a few of my own grappling techniques, then!" she yells (like an idiot), aiming to get a simulataneous grab on May Lee's shoulder and opposite arm, intending to use her forward momentum to take a single step, then drive May Lee's body into the floor with Karin's elbow on top in a typical takedown slam.

At the very last moment, May Lee spots Eagle coming in towards her with that strike. That was a astute observation, yes. Flipping upside down did leave you with very few defensive options. Curling up into a ball as she falls down towards the ground, May Lee takes the blow directly across her curled back, knocking her earthwards with a thud, the Korean uncurling upon impact. And May had just barely enough time to regather her wits before her shoulder was grabbed, and poor May was sent to the floor with Karin atop her, although... there was a palm between Karin's elbow and May's body on the way down, May's other hand grasping Karin's forearm and pushing away from herself to lessen the sharpness of the blow even further. Whew. Alright!
"Oh HO!" May Lee says, shoving Karin off of herself as she then leaps up to her feet, grinning a wide, fairly cheesy grin as she sets her fists on her hips, and squares her stance. "That was a good technique, Karin! Are you prepared for mine?" May says, her voice noticeably deeper. Eyes narrowing in concentration, May Lee then launches herself towards Karin's position. "I'm DI-NA-MICKU!" she calls, mangling the word intentionally as she then attempts to drive her knee into Karin's gut. That move would be followed with a flurry of kicks to Karin's torso, ending with May Lee pulling both her fists back behind herself, before hammering them into Karin's chest. "WOOYA!"
A flurry of kicks isn't the only thing Karin has to worry about, as Eagle rushes in alongside May Lee. Now it's time for things to get a bit flashier. Moving his arms so that one is held at roughly the height of Karin's head and the other at the level of her stomach, Eagle brings his sticks around so that they're pointing dead on toward Karin. And then he lunges forward, lashing out with a blurring series of strikes to a multitude of different spots across the blonde girl's body.

Ow. OW. Considering the remarkably fast speed of both attacks coming in on two fronts, there's just no way Karin could manage a decent defense against either; kicks coming one way and sticks coming the other collide in a blur of blows that leaves Karin staggering afterward. Struggling to keep herself up, she pulls into a fighting stance and gives May Lee a little grin.
"Relentless kicking attacks... the hallmark of the Taekwondo style. You're a credit to Korea," she offers. Whoa, Karin being nice is like... far too Bizarro for words now. Kool Aid Man is going to bust through the doors at any moment now. "But I'm not out yet. Prepare yourself!" And then she is simply *leaping* at May Lee, her left hand and left foot making perfect circles as she whirls through the air in a dizzy series of unending, wave-like strikes that hit like a scythe through wheat. "Kanzuki-ryuu... Kou'ou Ken!"

Pursing her lips together, May Lee takes a long sidestep, left foot planted where it began with, the Korean bending her right knee, and falling to the ground as she leans that direction, just out of the way of the whirling doom-kicks. Just in time, too. Springing back to her feet, May's self-confident 'hero' smile turns up the corners of her lips as she backs away from Karin's position, and towards the crowd at the edges of the fighting area.
"And you are a credit to your style, Karin Kanzuki!" she says, "I've never seen anything like it before..." May says, curling the fingers of her right hand into a fist, as electric sparks begin to play across the glove. "PREPARE YOURSELF!" she cries, before leaping at Karin. Not just a normal leap, either. It was like the Korean was shot out of a cannon, that sparking fist held in front of her as she flies towards Karin, hoping to land that fist into her gut. "A-TAAAAA!"
Eagle's got some good momentum going now, so he's not going to give it up too easily. As Karin is sent staggering from the combined attack, Eagle spins himself around to face May Lee. She's already moving to avoid Karin's counter attack, but that's fine. Eagle brings his arms back into position, and as May Lee leaps in to plant her fist in Karin's gut, Eagle lashes out with another dizzying series of blows, attempting to hit as many openings in May Lee's defenses as he can.

Sizzling with electricity, May Lee's strike finds its mark... sort of. Generally speaking, the attack is fast and strong, but there's something to be said for simply *walking into it*. The shocking chi flickers through Karin's body as May Lee's fist sinks into her stomach, but the blonde grins back at her, though her teeth are gritted from the pain.
"A very effective technique," Karin says... and then is *instantly* in motion, her strike aided by already being inside May Lee's guard. The blonde lashes out with a pair of blazingly fast palm strikes, followed by a single, thrusting shotei blow to the stomach: the punishing Guren Ken/Hou Shou combination that is one of Karin's trademarks. "All I can do is strike back with all my strength!" she shouts.

But May Lee was simply sailing far too fast for Eagle to hit. Her fist finding a home in Karin's gut, May brings her feet earthwards to stop her forward momentum. Unfortunately for May, Karin wasn't quite knocked down by the move. "Oops." May Lee says to herself, bringing up her forearms to attempt to ward away the oncoming strikes... but that was just reflex. Karin was already past her guard, and striking her. Painfully.
May Lee's breath is released in a 'oof' with the last blow, the girl clutching her hands over her belly as she smiles a weak smile up at Karin. "...good hit." May says, her voice strained. But it was already regaining its strength as she warns, "Get ready!". It was then May Lee was heading towards Karin, holding her forearms for counterbalance as she twists around on a foot, and attempts to deliver a harsh roundhouse kick to the blonde heiress' side.
It takes Eagle a moment to recover when his first few strikes hit only empty air, but it's not long before he's turned himself back around to face the fight. May Lee's kick is sweeping in toward Karin's side as Eagle reaches out for the rich girl, attempting to wrap an arm around her neck. If he manages to successfully grab her, the bouncer pulls Karin into a headlock, using his free arm to gesture with his stick for a moment before swinging it back to smack sharply against Karin's face, letting her go immediately after impact.

Gen has arrived.
What happens next is... hard to describe simply from the sheer speed of it. Karin, by this point typically daunted beyond redemption in her previous SNFs, seems to rally something fierce at this point. She sees both May Lee's incoming attack and Eagle's. Both are going to do serious damage if she lets them hit... probably enough damage that she'd be out of the fight, too.
So, she doesn't let them hit. In a blur or motion, Karin spins out of Eagle's grasp. Of course, there's still that incoming flying kick to deal with. How does she handle it? "Ha... Mujin KYAKU!" And then there is a wonderful moment where the bottom of Karin's foot matches the bottom of May Lee's incoming foot *perfectly*. For a single second the two are locked in a competition of inertia... but the Mujin Kyaku is a two-part attack, and the second strikes May Lee out and away, turning what would have been ignonimous defeat into the barest possibility of victory!
"Urrrf!"
That was the sound of surprise, folks, a feeling that May Lee has felt quite a bit towards Karin. Knocked unto her back with the second part of that kick, May Lee gets to her feet again, looking quickly towards Eagle. Best not to completely overlook him, after all. A few short breaths, a smile towards Karin, and May Lee was approaching her again.
A quick somersault forward when she gets close enough, May Lee extending her left foot towards Karin as the other drops towards the floor. The intent of the motion was for May Lee to set the ball of her foot upon Karin's torso, holding her there as May grins a cocky grin towards her opponent. "YAAAAA!!!" May Lee screams as she drops her left foot down, bringing up her right foot to strike the exact same place her foot once was... and as hard as she can.
Yes, it's never good to completely ignore someone in a fight, especially when it's quite likely that they'll be attacking you any moment. And Eagle doesn't disappoint there, spinning around to face May Lee once Karin manages to slip out of his grasp. And then he snaps his arms out to the side and begins spinning again, but much faster this time, and without stopping. With a grunt of "Hmn!" Eagle attempts to slam the whirling sticks into May Lee while she's busy trying to deal with Karin.

When it comes down to the wire, there's only so much you can do. Karin knows that's one of May Lee's most potent techniques coming at her simply from reading the tenor of the fight; the Korean's fighting spirit has been steadily growing, and thus the blonde knows it's now or never. One of these two ladies has to make a gutsy decision and put it all on the line. As the saying goes in business, you have to spend money to make money.
So... Karin spends money. That incoming kick is fast, and it's powerful... but the Yasha Gaeshi stance is Karin's siganture maneuver, one she has perfected through long bouts of training and suffering. For every one she makes, another fails. This one... does not. "Sorry, May Lee..." Karin intones, as she wraps her left arm around the Korean girl's incoming leg, trapping it. "But I don't feel like losing today!" And then comes the right arm in an upper palm strike just as Karin lets go of the left leg, sending May Lee flying backwards with her own momentum returned to her.

May's eyes fly wide open as the palm strikes her under her chin, her eyes going a bit unfocused with that rattling blow, but instead of away, as Karin may expect, the whirling attack from Eagle slams into May's back, knocking her back towards the heiress. But instead of toppling into her like one might expect, May Lee uses her last dregs of power to hop a short hop up into the air, her grin returning, and widely as her eyes come into focus on Karin's face...
Right before the Korean attempts to deliver a quick (or at least as quick as she can, with her limbs starting to feel heavy) chop to the side of Karin's neck. "Not through yet!" she manages to cry, but as soon as she touches ground again, whether or not she hit, she would slump to the ground, exhausted and beaten. But even so... her grin remains bright and wide upon her lips.

Eagle spins to a stop, apparently somehow having managed to avoid making himself incredible dizzy over the course of his attack. May Lee is slumping to the ground, but Karin is still on her feet. The fight's almost over, but he's being paid to cause as much trouble as possible, so if Karin does manage to remain standing at the end of the fight, she'll definitely have earned it.
Eagle dashes in toward the Kanzuki heiress, spinning the stick in his right hand as he draws his right arm back. As soon as he's within range the bouncer snaps outward with his right arm, attempting to slam the end of the stick in a straight blow to Karin's stomach.

There's no stopping Karin now, though! Eagle's attack she sees coming a mile away, perhaps because she's watched SNF before simply to get a grip on various fighters all over the world. The spinning comes within a hair's breadth of her, but the blonde does some spinning of her own, coming out of the way of the Canterbury Blue just in time to face May Lee's Chop.
Whoever said third time's the charm, however, should be clubbed with a brick. Hoping to use her slightly faster reaction on the counterattack to ward off May Lee's final blow, Karin doesn't take into account the sheer *power* of it, perhaps because she's unfamiliar with May Lee's "other self" and was expecting a lighter, faster hit. So the Chop simply... powers on through Karin's attempt to catch it, knocking her to ground with a loud "oof!". And there she stays, looking thoroughly annoyed. "Damn... so *close*."
Well. He -did- ask them for a great fight. Shingo doesn't think they get much better than what he just witnessed. Those two sure know how to -not- disappoint a crowd. The whole time he was there with the rest of the crowd cheering on the fighters as it got closer and closer to the end. There was no clear cut victor. Both girls were evenly matched. Even with Eagle running official interefence on both sides. At first it looked like Karin had the upperhand. Then May Lee. Now. It was dead even and it could still go either way. Shingo, just like everyone else watching intently, is on the edge of his seat. If he were sitting down. This is it...
...And the victor of this fantastic and exciting display of physical skill and performance is none other than...the Chaos Agent. Whoa. There are some members of the crowd that aren't exactly happy with this outcome. Then there are others that just love it. Shingo...falls into neither camp. He's had experience with Chaos Agent fights before and has been one himself. To him it's all part of the job description as an Agent. Both girls are out of the fight and one would say that Shingo cheers loudest for them. You know, except the crazed fanboys are probably cheering louder. If he could, he'd run up and congratulate them. Just that he'd have to fight his way to the crowd.
Eagle certainly doesn't appear upset that Karin managed to avoid his attack. He wasn't holding back, but it'd be nice for one of the girls to pull out a clean win. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be the case, as Karin gets knocked down by May Lee's last attack, and it doesn't look like she'll be getting back up.
The bouncer spins both of his sticks for a few moments, watching to see if either of the girls will be getting up. When it appears that this won't be the case, Eagle crosses his arms over his chest for a moment, then thrusts his sticks up into the air. "Double KO!" And there's your official announcement, folks. Eagle nods to the waiting paramedics, who make their way in to the check out Karin and May Lee. It doesn't look like either sustained any really serious injuries, but they always try to make sure.

May Lee wasn't quite moving from where she was upon the ground. If it weren't for the slow breaths the curled up girl was taking, one might think that she was dead. While not being dead, she was rather unconcious, however, the sheer beating she had taken during the fight doing much to put her in that condition. But nonetheless, May Lee was still grinning, widely.
The Kanzuki heiress isn't QUITE so bad off as May Lee. She does stay on the floor for a moment. Just resting her eyes, honestly. But by the time the paramedics come she's at least up on her knees, breathing heavily but not necessarily the worse for wear. She gives the unconscious May Lee a glance, and then chuckles. "You surprised me at the end... I had thought you were all speed, but there's more depth to that style than I thought." She nods. "I learned a lot... so our rematch will go differently, I assure you." For one thing, Eagle won't be there with the beating stick. Ow. With the help of a paramedic she manages to get herself standing, and then heads out the door. Good fight, good night!
