Ah. Nothing like spending the day at the beach. The sun, the sea, and sand. It's really great. If you're into that sort of thing. And in the summer, there are quite a few people that are into that sort of thing. And apparently certain members of the SNF match committee as well. Because once more they've scheduled another fight on the beautiful Sound Beach for this lovely afternoon. As usual a section of the beach is set aside for today's festivities. And to make it interesting, they've added in a few 'environemental' surprises for the fighters to use. Beyond the large coconut tree that's sitting a little off from the centre of the ring. Scattered about the sand are various items you would normally find at the beach. Chairs, balls, a little kid, etc. Wait. How'd that kid get there? Security!
Shingo watches security tackle the poor kid that accidentally wandered into the 'arena' for his match today. It's his third SNF match to be held on the beach this year and this time he's prepared for it. Wearing his simple blue beach shorts/swim trunks and a white t-shirt. And a pair of water shoes on his feet. That way he won't get his one of many school uniforms sandy and avoid the grains getting in his socks and shoes. Hopping down on the balls of his feet, he greets each and every single person here with a smile that equals the warmth of the sun and a wave. His little fan section already cheering loudly for him.
Sun. Sand. Waves. The beach! And now, moving on from the travelogue portion of our program, as Shingo has already covered that angle... Saturday Night Fights, for Karin Kanzuki, are an excuse to really bust out the showmanship she seems to have an uncanny knack for. Out to sea a motorboat speeds toward Sound Beach at ridiculous speed, a parasail with the Kanzuki zaibatsu logo emblazoned on the back trailing behind. At the last minute, the boat turns away from the shallows and cuts the parasail loose, and it begins to drift toward the arena.
As the parachuting figure comes closer, it's clear that it could be none other than Karin Kanzuki herself, who cuts the straps at just the right moment to land with perfect aplomb on her side of the fight, resplendent in a black two-piece trimmed in gold and a pair of beach clogs. As she flips golden curls over her shoulder... the parasail drifts into the audience, blanketing them in nylon and causing quite a stir. Not that she cares, obviously.
D!'s hardly the type for a flashy entrance. Which shows, since he's just...on the beach, with nothing but his usual cycling shorts and boxing boots, and no flashy lights or help to announce his arrival. The only thing notable about him is the fact that he lacks his usual jacket. Staring out onto the ocean as his partner parachutes in, he sighs, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "...I hope she saved some for the fight," he says, shaking his head before he turns around, tightening his wraps and looking back over to his opponents. "Hey, Shingo. Long time no see," he says with a quick gesture to the Kyo fanboy. "Don't hold anything back, hear?"
It has been awhile since the Ikari woman has had to tag with someone than her fellow Ikari for a match, which is fine by Leona as far as she is concerned. Sadly it would seem that the people working up the scedule for this weeks matches had decided to but her in something other than singles action this week around. Shingo has been someone she has met once or twice and has even fought with him in the past, but even so her partner only gets a slight nod in greeting from the mercenary and not much else.
Once it seems that the fight is about to start the Ikari woman slowly rises to her feet and pulls the dog tags from around her neck and uses them to tie up her rather shaggy blue hair up into a high ponytail to stay out of her face as she stares down both HeavyD and Karin. The former is someone she has tangled with, but the rather flamboyant girl seems to be a new face. Perhaps someone new to test out to see how good they are.
Having partnered up with Leona once before for a SNF match and having met her outside of fighting, Shingo knows not to expect more than a simple nod as a greeting from her. Which is fine by him. He has more than enough enthusiasm for the both of them. With a wide beaming smile he looks to the Ikari warrior, "Good to see you again, Leona!" He gives her a thumbs-up and looks back to his opponents for this evening. Both of whom he is acquainted with as well. "Flashy as always, huh Karin," He asks with a grin to the blonde young woman. He guesses some guys may find that she looks good in that two piece. But Shingo's here for the fighting and not the ogling. Plus, he's already spoken for with Miss Kanzuki's rival. To the boxer, Shingo nodnods, "Oh don't worry, Mister D! You know I always do my best!" And a thumbs-up is given to the eldest fighter too. With that out of the way. Time to set it off.
Shaking out his hands into clenched fists and slipping into his Kusanagi-ryuu fighting stance he remarks to Leona, "I'll go with Mister D! if you don't mind." Just because he has fought females before doesn't mean he wants to make a habit of it. And if he can set it up where the females fight each other? All the better. With that said, Shingo starts things off by closing in HeavyD. "Here I come!" His hands quickly unclench as he reaches out to grab D by the...well, he's not wearing a shirt so Shingo settles for grabbing the man's upper arm and yanking him in with a strong jerk. If the boxer is not agile enough, he will find himself on the receiving end of a powerful strike from the back of Shingo's forearm, "Teya!"
"Hmph." *Karin* knows she looks gorgeous in that two piece, which is good enough for her, though she does give Shingo the barest of friendly expressions. The Kusanagi hanger-on seems to have busied himself with her teammate, to whom Karin also looks with a faint grin. "Well, the division of labor appears to have been decided on... good luck, Mr. D!," she offers, before turning her attention to Leona with a nod of recognition.
"A serious mien," she offers. "Good. I like that in an opponent!" She shakes out her hands and falls into the relaxed Kanzuki kakutoujutsu stance, then starts in on her advance, aiming a quick front kick at Leona's midsection. "Allow me to start things off!"

Settling into a fighting stance once Karin finally drops down long enough to give him a gesture of good luck, the boxer gives her a quick nod and a "You too," before he focuses on the charging Shingo. Looks like he drew the kid again. Well, he's ready. While the Kyo fanboy manages to get a grasp on his forearm, D!'s guard is enough to keep together, solid as he's yanked into the forearm strike. Meeting it with his own forearms, the Metro fighter skids back into the sand, feet settling in a little deeper as he's pushed. "Nice...but not enough to get me this time," he says with a smirk, stepping forward and breaking his guard long enough to aim a hard hook right toward Shingo's side, toes digging into the sand as he twists his body.

There doesn't seem to be much offered to the Kanzuki girl till after her strike is made and the Mercenary takes two steps back after that foot solidly plants into her waist with only a slight grunt in response. Now that she has judged about how hard the other fighter can strike she starts to go on her own offensive. The mercenary raises her arms to cross them at the forearms as if she was about to block the next strike Karin might try, but then her stance shifts and she leaps backwards while throwing her arms backwards. The motion results in a x-shaped blast of chi being thrown right towards the schoolgirl as Leona lands a few feet away in her fighting stance once again.

What is with boxers and their deceptive punches? Shingo was almost positive that he would be able to stop HeavyD!'s attack before it could ever hope to land on him. He was >< that close. But apparently D! has gotten better with his technique and Shingo has been slacking on his boxing. Getting caught right in the side must be his 'reward' for his being so lax when it comes to working on his punching technique. Ah well. It's not entirely his fault that Bison has been rare to run into lately. Then again, maybe it was. But he highly doubts it.
The hook punch striking righ against his rib cage seems to be the perfect counter to his counter. This is because he has to raise his hand up to bring his elbow down; which leaves him wide open for something coming in from a horizontal angle as D!'s punch did. Shingo takes a step back from the strike with a slight wince. "Good one, Mister D!," he compliments.

Well, that was unexpected. Karin hadn't planned on an immediate followup, and has roughly a second or two to look up and be confused at the nature of Leona's attack before the X-shaped blast is coming right at her; a hasty scramble out of the way is in no way good enough and the blonde is pushed back a few feet by the result. Wiping her mouth, Karin hmphs. "I see. You're one of *those*", she says darkly.
Slipping back into a stance, Karin presses an immediate counterattack, rushing the Ikari warrior with a high feint with her left fist, and then swinging her right fist around to grab Leona by the shoulder; if she can connect, Karin will drag her opponent down hard, driving her entire weight into Leona's stomach in a traitional grappling takedown.
Heavy D! smiles, feeling his punch strike home nicely as he catches Shingo at exactly the right moment to stop his counter cold. PUlling his fist back as the boy stumbles back, he settles back into his stance before responding with a quick "Thanks." No further banter, however, as he pushes his advantage. Rushing in to the surprised Shingo, he tries to do something similar to what the boy initially tried. Grabbing for Shingo's shirt with one hand, he tries to pick him up by the collar and hammer home a couple of hard punches into his opponent's gut. Of course...that depends on him actually GRABBING Shingo...

Dark eyes stay focused on Karin as she rushes on and that feint doesn't seem to cause the mercenary to bite and instead she braces herself and lets herself be grabbed, but the woman seems a bit stronger than perhaps Karin had expected and she holds her ground instead of being throw back when the girl slams into her. Instead while Karin is up close and personal the Ikari attempts to make the girl by throwing both hands forward open palmed. A greenish ball of energy begins to form at her palms and then it erupts in a blast of energy as several sharp spikes lash forward to impale the schoolgirl.

Grabbing Shingo would be a key point in successfully executing a grab technique. This would explain why the boy refuses to let D! get the upper hand. Ok, so maybe HeavyD did grab Shingo's shirt. He also gets a hit in. But only a hit. After the initial punch strikes him the boy throws up his arms defensively to push the man off him and to give him some room. Fortunately that punch wasn't as strong as the one before so he's ready to go for the retaliatory attack.
Before his opponent can recover from being pushed off him, Shingo quickly reaches out for one of D!'s arms. One is all he needs. Then with a firm grip he pivots away from the boxer and with the use of his hips and strength, pulls him over to slam him into the sand with an overhead shoulder throw, "Teya!" It's all moving too fast for the eyes of normal folks. But any fighters in the crowd could see it very easily.

Leona is indeed stronger than Karin expected, especially since the typical defense to that throw she tried, in her experience, is using momentum to shift out of the way; simply *pushing back* is out of her realm of experience. It works fairly well, though. Forced to back off a step, Karin is wiser this time, expecting the counter attack and crossing her arms in front of her face, the wind-chi buffeting her but not doing as much harm as it could have.
And now Karin looks seriously annoyed, falling back into a fighting stance but not taking any particularly overt moves for the time being. "Good lord, does anybody actually fight with their hands and feet anymore?" she complains, narrowing her eyes at Leona. Yep. Definitely one of *those*.

Heavy D! grits his teeth as he's unable to get the followup hits in on Shingo, stopping after the third punch when it becomes apparent that he's not getting those extra shots. Alas, unable to pull away quick enough, he's pulled in for the big shoulder throw. Despite his larger size, SHingo manages to yank him over...and despite his best attempts to tuck in on impact, D! instead drops on his head with a thud. Even if it's sand, it still hurts landing like that. "NGhhh..." Grunting in pain, he rolls back, rubbing the back of his head as he gets on a knee in a crouch. "Damn..." he mutters, hanging back and watching Shingo in hopes of getting a better bead on him.

The mercenary's eyes narrow some again as the schoolgirl seems to ease up on her attack and she shakes her head. "If you expect things to go your way all the time then you may as well not fight anymore." she states rather matter of factly in reply. Yes it isn't often for Leona to say anything in a fight, but it seems that complaining might just aggravate her somewhat. Sand gets kicked up when she dashes forward towards Karin and then leaps skywards to flip up and over the girl, but the quick hand motion of her reaching into her jacket is the thing the schoolgirl should worry about. That hand snaps back out and flips a small object in Karin's direction, be it sand or skin there will be a small explosion that happens behind where the Ikari lands with her back to her opponent.
A better showing than him failing his counter, that's for sure. Shingo summoned forth something deep inside for that throw it seems. Or so he would like to believe. When for all intents and purposes he probably threw D! in such a way that caused for the boxer to land on his head instead of back. He totally didn't mean to do that though. Still. Shingo doesn't say anything. They're fighting. People are expected to get hurt, right? If anything, he does grin at his opponent and considers. HeavyD is waiting for him to come back in again huh? Well then. Let's throw him for a loop.
Shingo takes a step back to come up with his next tactic over blindly rushing in towards the member of the relatively inactive USA Sports Team. And then it comes to him in a stroke of brilliance. For when he made that step, he glanced down to see a collapsible beach chair. A wider grin forms. "Heheh. Hey Mister D! How about this!" Sliding his foot under the chair, he flips it up with his leg and catches it in one hand. It's folded up. This suits Shingo's purposes perfectly. Particularly since he's looking to just throw it as hard as he can in D!'s general direction. After which he then starts to move around the beach to be a harder target to hit.

"Ha. I could say the same to you!" Karin throws out as a rejoinder, eyes tracing Leona's arc and, with keen perception, noticing the sudden throwing of the object. While she has no idea what the tiny bomb actually *does*, the blonde fighter certainly knows that it coming anywhere near her is Bad News, as is typical of pretty much any projectile.
Thinking quickly to that morning's training, Karin improvises as best she can: she quickly reaches down and hurls a huge handful of sand into the path of the Earring Bakudan. The hope was that this would divert its path or something of the like, and it almost works; slowed by the sudden resistance the bomb doesn't quite reach 100% to Karin's body, and instead of taking the explosion full-on Miss Kanzuki is left at the periphery. Still, that hurts... and Karin's expression of disgust deepends *precipitously*. "And now bombs. I mourn the death of the martial arts."

Heavy D! keeping watch on Shingo, he narrows his eyes, trying to figure out what he has planned. When the beach chair is flung, however, he freezes up. To block...or to try and smash it away...well, not wanting to waste things on a gamble this early, D! simply hangs back and lets the chair collide with his arms, batting the thing away with his left arm. "NGh..." While he's got a bit less of a bead on Shingo, he's still prepared well enough. Right arm at his waist, he swings upward, the ground exploding with a shower of sand and chi as the Blast Upper sails out toward Shingo. "Hnn!" he grunts as the attack comes out, hopefully doing much what Shingo had hoped to do with the chair.
Leona lets out a light tch in annoyance when he strike doesn't quite hit it's mark, but there is still plenty of fight left to go and she is sure she can outlast Karin and as long as Shingo keeps the other fighter distracted things should be fine. Turning about she faces Karin again then nods. It was a good move to at least try to keep the bomb from impacting fully so the girl is smarter than she acts at least. Maybe that is why Leona finally relents in her energy attacks for a short time and instead rushes in before jumping forwards towards the schoolgirl. She twists about in the air and then brings a leg down in an axe style kick aimed right at the other woman's shoulder.

Yep. He still was prepared enough. Shingo's chair tactic didn't exactly pan out as the boy hoped. Neither did his hopping about. Happens when one is better built to giving and receiving hits than actual dodging. Except in this case he didn't decide to dive out of the way of the rising chi blast. His strategy was to throw up his arms to shield against the projectile. The usual way of dealing with these things for him; lacking any real chi manipulation of his own. But D! seems to have the superior technique and gets past the block very easily, sending Shingo sliding across the sand. Right towards that coconut tree.
Back against the trunk, Shingo weighs his options. That blast upper raised up some sand into his eye, blurring his vision a little. But maybe, just maybe he can get lucky with his next technique. Getting as much sand out of his eyes as he can at the moment the boy turns to kick really hard off the tree. He's basically using it as a launching pad for the next oncoming attack at HeavyD. "SHINGO KIIIIIIICKU!" You knew this was coming. Kick to the head! Natch.

Things are just not going Karin's way. Any idiot would know that Leona would follow the bomb attack up, so Karin is ready for that, at least... but on the other hand, Karin is 100% unprepared for Leona's raw speed. The overhead arc kick sweeps right through Karin's trademark two-handed counter stance, striking her on the shoulder and forcing her to stumble back a few steps, though not knocking her down just yet.
But you can't keep Karin down that easily. "Ah, now that is, at least, true combat." She falls back into her ready stance, prepared to handle Leona's next assault as best she can and waiting for an oppotunity to counterattack at the proper time: the strength of the Kanzuki school. "I can't feel bad about that."

The boxer watches as his chi attack blasts Shingo across the way into the sands, smirking at the aftermath of his attack. However, he's not got much time to be satisfied, as Shingo uses the very tree he smashed into the leap toward him. He remembers the kick that's to come...however, rather than move to block, the boxer rushes in toward the kick. The attack slams into his neck, causing D! to lurch forward a bit...but not enough to deter him from trying to catch Shingo in the air with a quick hook from his low position, following up with a hard uppercut in hopes of sending the boy flying again.
The Ikari lands on one foot to bring her leg back down to plant into the sand to take back up her fighting stance and await for Karin to make a move. It seems though that for now the other woman is going to hold her ground and prepare for the next attack. Leona is more than happy to oblige and sand gets kicked up again as she rushes in straight at the Kanzuki. There is a shift though near the end of her charge and she leaps forward and to the right to leap past Karin. Leona then spins about to face her back side as she lands and whips out a throwing knife right at Karin's backside as it trails with chi like energy that had been imbued into it by Leona.

Silly boxer, if people were meant to fly then they would've been born with wings. Or learned how to channel their chi in a manner that would propel them into the air. But in Shingo's case, he merely has to get caught by another one of D!'s punches that once more stops his counter before the counter can stop him. Tch. The first low punch catches him right in the leg that causes him to stumble and drop slightly. Right into the rising uppercut that follows. The one-two combination doing its job very well and lifts Shingo off his feet to send him flipping like a rag doll. Only to land face down in the sand. But he isn't out yet and is able to rebound onto his feet. Even if things aren't going his way, he smiles brightly, "Hahaha! Looks like I missed that one again!" A cheerful lad, isn't he?

At this point it's obvious that Leona's speed and bevy of projectiles has Karin completely pinned down; the blonde barely has time to turn around before the knife sinks into her leg, drawing blood and making Karin wince. "You disgust me," she spits, enraged. "Knives, bombs, whatever... you're no martial artist. You're merely a thug." Shaking out her curls, she continues to stand her ground, watching Leona carefully. "Any loss against you certainly won't make me lose any sleep, that much is clear."

Heavy D! can't help but be impressed by the boy's sunny disposition, even if he's trying to beat the crap out of him. "Try again?" he asks Shingo as he pounds the sand in a rush toward him. "You better be ready!" Winding up, he sets up for a massive punch, seemingly trying to end the match right now...however, as the big right hand pulls up, SHingo is met not with a massive punch, but with a swift, sneaky straight from his left. It'll still hurt quite a bit, but it's not quite as wound up as the feinted one would have been.
Do her words fall upon dead ears? There isn't much change to the Ikari's expression as Karin speaks to her. Insults are part of fighting from what Ralf tells her, but Leona never has seen much use for it for the most time. Taking a few steps forward towards the Kanzuki girl, Leona just stares back silently for a few moments before rearing back and then throwing her hand forward to grab the girl by her blonde locks and twist. If a firm grip can be established the Ikari woman turns about on the heel of her left foot in an attempt to lift up Karin and slam her harm onto the ground head first.

At this point it really doesn't matter what type of punch Heavy D throws in Shingo's direction. The boy has already made up his mind on what he's going to do. And once he commits to an action he follows through. It's the principle behind not holding back in a fight. Commit to everything you do. And commit he does by doing something similar to what D! did earlier. Charge into the attack. The plan was to duck in under the punches and connect his shoulder and upper arm straight into the boxer's solar plexus. That was the plan. Funny thing with plans? They don't always go as you want them to. So what? Get over it. Shingo sure does. Several times. The opposing force of the boxer's punch connecting with his forehead stopping him dead in his tracks and totally reversing his movement. His back slamming hard into that coconut tree again. "...Ow." Shingo drops forward onto his hands and knees. Think. Think. What else can he do?
A nut drops from the tree and conks him on the head. "..."

See... now you've done it. Projectiles, energy, Leona could do a lot of things and at worst simply annoy Karin. Annoying Karin is actually pretty easy to do. But there's very few things that can actually piss her off. Leona has managed to do one.
Reaching up, Leona's grabbing hand is suddenly and swiftly interrupted by a complete vice grip from Karin's upward-reaching left hand; the right makes a particularly vicious straight right into Leona's stomach.
And all that's left is one mad-looking bikini-wearing rich girl. "*Don't you dare touch my hair*!"
Looks like D! chose to feint at the right time, his straight colliding with Shingo's forehead and stopping the massive shoulder charge he had built up in its track. It's almost getting to ridiculousness, especially considering Shingo's despairing posture after that hit. If the boxer didn't feel kind of sorry for him before, the coconut hit completes it. Still...a fight's a fight.
Rather than wait for Shingo to get up, D! again goes for the rush, advancing on the slumped schoolboy and winding up a right hand again. This time, however, it's no feint, the hammering right fist dropping downward in hopes of slamming Shingo further into the sand with a crushing blow.
So perhaps she finally has found the right thing to get the girl riled up. Even if the punch actually seems to cause the mercenary to double over from the force of the blow, there is a bit of a grin on her face when she looks back up at the schoolgirl. "Finally ready to fight I see. Then I can get serious." she tells the girl and then a hand reaches out to latch onto Karin's neck with a rather strong grip.

Despair? Pshaw. Shingo doesn't even know the meaning of that word! Heck, it's not even in his vocabulary. Despair has no place in his world. What is the point of losing hope when life is so grand? It makes no sense whatsoever. Similar to Shingo missing all his instant counter-attacks. However his philosophy of always staying positive can and will make difference holds true. He sees the fist coming down on him. Time to go for broke.
Throwing himself out of the way, Shingo rolls up onto his feet faster than most people would think possible for the boy. He wastes no time as soon as he regains his balance and answers the Rock Crush with a Moon Elbow drop right on the nape of D!'s neck, "GECCHU!" Who's on the ground now? It sure ain't Shingo. The coconut that landed on his head is strangely missing from the ground if anyone noticed.

And with her hand gripped tightly around Karin's throat the mercenary reaches into her jacket. "This ends now." she tells the other fighter then that hand pulls out a large cylindrical shaped object then clips it onto Karin's top. She then pushes the other figher away while leaping back to escape the rather large explosion that goes off when the count down on that explosive hits zero.
The object does indeed get put in, and Leona does indeed seem to have this match all cinched up. As the Ikari warrior gets out of the way, Karin does her level best to get the explosive out of *immediate* contact with her body, managing to hurl it in front of her just a little bit... and then, of course, comes the *BOOM*, obscuring Karin from sight in a cloud of dust and sand.
Unfortunately for Leona, when it clears Karin is not down, nor is she out. Yes, she's bruised, burned, and in all other ways looking severely beat, but she definitely is not out for the count. Glaring at Leona, she narrows her eyes. "I am *always* serious," she snarls, before dashing at the other woman with blinding speed, launching into a flurry of palm strikes, elbow hits, and various attacks, each flowing perfectly like a wave into the next and finishing up with the vicious Hou Shou palm strike. "But I agree... this does end now. Kanzuki-ryuu... Shinpikaibyaku!"
Ok, maybe D! shouldn't have assumed that he was on top enough to take his half of the match away leisurely. The sudden drop of the elbow on his neck is enough to drop D! face first into the sand, a pained groan coming from the boxer. "Nghh...damn," he mutters. However, while he's there...he may as well take advantage of Shingo's close quarters. With a push up onto a knee, he lifts up a hand..and drops it again, this time in a fist. The resulting slam creates a nice little explosion of chi in front of him, hopefully blasting up toward the schoolboy and engulfing target #1. If not...maybe he'll get a little breathing room.

The speed of Karin's attack gives the mercenary little to do other than just hunker down and hold up her arms to take the brunt of all those blows. By the time the Kanzuki girl is done there is a nice stinging feeling in Leona's arms there are marks from where the fighter had been pushed back about two feet during the whole assault in the sand. She lowers her arms a few moments after the attack ends and she reaches into her coat again while nodding towards her in respect. Though she hopes to end this now as she leaps back and whips out another of the small explosives in the direction of Karin.

It was a good idea. Would've worked too. If it wasn't for that pesky Shingo Yabuki and his dodges of miraculous virtue! Of course, the fact that he has seen and fought HeavyD! on several occasions also plays a big part in being able to avoid with the best of his skill. The instant he sees D! slam his fist down into the sand, he knows what's coming and immediately doesn't spend a second to think. He just reacts. By jumping straight up and back as high in the air as possible for a fighter of his calibre. So essentially, a good two/two and a half metres in the air. "Nice! But it's not over yet, Mister D!"
Remember that coconut that was missing from earlier? Yeah. It was in Shingo's hand. Was being the operative word for at the zenith of his jump, the boy hurls it down at D!'s head. "Take this!" The green husk of the nut streaks through the air in its descent to the boxer.

Karin's simply too tired to do any real attempts at dodging; she sort of weaves to the side but Leona's throw strikes true, impacting on the blonde's side in a nice burst of fire. Karin doesn't actually say anything; she just sort of sways for a moment, and then simply summons the very last of her energy to LEAP at Leona, thrusting out her right hand in a trademark shotei strike that is actually so quick the very air around it moves forward from the force of being displaced so quickly. Not a chi attack, per se, but it's going to make strike just that much harder to dodge.
And then Karin is on her knees, unable to fight any further. To her credit, however, she's not going to just collapse like a sack; she'll keep her head held high. In spite of Leona's arsenal of weaponry, she kept to her style and held her ground as long as she could. No shame in that.

Who throws a coconut? Honestly?!...wait, that's a shoe, coconuts actually make decent weapons thrown. Howoever, that's taking into account actually hitting your target. It doesn't really work when your target is good enough to simply snatch the coconut out of the air and palm the sucker. "Take it? Er...rather not, never liked coconut." Tossing the discarded tropical nut out of the way, D! takes one more glance at Shingo before he advances again. This time, he makes no mistake about what he means to do. As soon as he's within arm's range of SHingo, his arms blur out with a swift set of short jabs and hooks. There's some strangeness about them too, considering the shadowy blur that trails each punch. Obviously not your normal punch combo.

Raising her arms once again, Leona holds her ground and lets her arms take the brunt of the incoming strike from Karin. When it seems the other woman is down and out for the remainder of the fight it allows the mercenary to take a moment to look over the situation. Both Shingo and D still seem to be going at it and maybe with the boxer being distracted Leona can get in a good strike from his backside. That is just what she attempts to do and she leaps over the fallen Karin to reach for D from behind to wrap both arms around his waist and then lifts him up and archs her back in an attempt to suplex the larger man onto his head in the sand.

After a protracted struggle, Karin pulls herself standing and snaps her fingers. With the speed of ninja, Shibazaki and Ishizaki appear out of the crowd with a beach chair, a mango smoothie, some sunglasses, and a hot towel, all of which Karin accepts with grace, reclining somewhere to watch the rest of the fight and let her burns recover while her servants hover nearby, looking concerned. "Cell phone!" she barks, and Shibazaki produces said object posthaste. "Now, what is the number for the Kasugano household..."
Ahahahaha. Foolish Shingo. When will you learn that today is not your day when it comes to interrupting your opponent's attacks? Sure you got one lucky Tsuki Hiji in. Still. He should stick to blocking and giving that dodge thing a shot again. He already managed to pull off what...two for the match? That's a lot more than what he normally does. Usually stuck to one good dodge per fight. The multitude of punches come at him and he does his best to weave in between them to look for the right chance to strike out with his elbow. Too bad it he doesn't get that chance. D!'s punches are just too many for him to handle and after the first few he just takes the remaining bunch. Shingo finds himself in a familiar position. On the ground. Thank goodness for recovery rolls!

No need, Sakura's totally in the crowd watching. She's almost as ninjafast as Karin's servants too. Her swimsuit's not quite as pretty though. "Hey, Karin."
Ah...of course, in his moment of triumph, D! has to find out the hard way that his partner has been disposed of. Just as he manages to finish off his combo on Shingo, he's unceremoniously dumped onto his head by the back suplex Leona places him in. While he manages to tuck in this time and land on his shoulders rather than his neck and head, it still hurts enough to cause a pained groan to escape his throat. "Nghh...." Rolling back, he winces, rubbing his neck and looking between his two opponents. "Damn," he mutters. However, his predicament is easily rectified...in theory. With SHingo as beaten up as he is, he can afford to focus after him and hopefully pare down the opposition enough to be handled better.
THat decided, the boxer rushes, pushing off the sand and moving toward his chosen target. As soon as he's picked up speed, he lunges forward, feet sliding in the sand as he extends out his right hand. Summoning up his chi, a soul of power surrounds his arm as it drives toward the boy. Lets see him roll outta this one.
The blonde blinks, considering Sakura just showed up as soon as her home phone started ringing. "Oh, it's you." And right now, Mrs. Kasugano is probably wondering whose name that is on her caller ID before Karin shuts the phone. "I'm hoping your match went better than mine. Smoothie?" she offers, and another one just sort of... appears on Ishizaki's tray. It's possible she really does recruit her servants from some sort of ninja clan.
Leona releases her grip on the boxer then rolls to the side before quickly getting to her feet. Expecting the sneak attack might elicit an counter offensive, the mercenary gets ready to defend against the boxer. Then he seems to continue his attack against Shingo instead. If she will be ignored than she will attempt to make HeavyD regret such a thing. She takes a few steps forward then plants her left foot down into the sand and spins about to bring the right heel of her boot into D's back around the kidney area.

Sakura beams. "Sure!" Setting out her towel and a small duffel next to Karin, she takes a seat to watch the fight's conclusion unfold. Reaching over, she sips at the smoothie with a grin. Rich friends =rock=. "Hasn't started yet, actually. That Dee Jay guy's pretty good though. Fought him last night."
Since D! was so kind to ask for it! Here goes nothing! TA-DA! Have you seen a better display of agility and quickness from a member of the Kusanagi-ryuu dojo? Of course not! Shingo is one of a kind, baby. He's a fighter like none other. Pulling off some insane moves that has others either cursing his name or praising his existance. Though in this case, D! is probably doing the former. Even if it may not be serious. Leona's arrival is noted though. So she has defeated Karin. Good. Now with the two of them they will be able to deal with Heavy D.
Dropping into a forward tumble, Shingo gets right under D!'s punch to get in close. Or so it would look like. Mini-Kyo choosing to roll right past the boxer to get behind him. In order to do so he does about three successive rolls. This puts him about a metre to the rear of the man. "SHINGO KIIIIICKU!" This time for sure! The Shingo Kick will strike true! This is also to put D! in a pincer attack between him and Leona.

Pincer attack indeed. Having failed to strike home with the Rolling Soul Diver, D!'s forced to shore up against the double team. While the kidney kick hits home and causes the boxer to pitch sideways, he's able to twist and stop the advancing Shingo Kick with a meaty, yet bruised forearm. "NGHH..." Grunting, he continues to focuse on Shingo, still of the mindset that taking him out will increase his chance of survival. And while he has to twist a bit awkwardly to punch at Shingo, punch he does, sending out a sharp jab or two for Shingo's nose in hopes of beating him back.
The mercenary spins about again and brings her foot down to regain her balance fully and once again D seems to be adamant on sticking with dealing with the other fighter. Of course since Shingo does seem to be a bit more wore out it probably does make sense to stick with attacking him, but at least with the two on one attack it allows her a better chance on getting in an attack on D. That is why as he attacks Shingo again the woman goes to jab the boxer hard in the small of his back then attempts to leap up to grasp his mohawk in a hand and then bring him down backwards across a knee then roll to slam him head first into the ground.

Hmph. Just... HMPH. Karin sips her own smoothie, adjusting her sunglasses. "This fight was a total disaster. I was hoping to meet other capable martial artists by participating in this wretched publicity stunt," she says, still, apparently, quite angry. "Instead I meet a jack-booted thug who fights like a back-alley yakuza extortionist instead of an actual warrior."
"... Well..." Sakura offers hesitantly. "... I actually -fought- a jack-booted thug who =is= a back-alley yakuza extortionist, if it's any consolation?" She smiles weakly, adding, "And he threw soda at me. I got owned by a coca-cola of all things. D'ya know how tough it was to walk into gym class after that, Karin?"
Worn? Yes. Tired? Definitely. Exhausted? Most assuredly. Going to throw in the towel? Never! Maybe the boxer is right in that taking out Shingo will increases his chances for survival. Here you have this kid that by all rights should be already out of this match. He has missed counters each and every way. Taken several of D!'s heavy hits. Yet. He refuses to fall. The American even took it up a notch when it comes to speed and Shingo still takes a beating and keeps on ticking. The moniker given to him at that promotional fight he did seems more fitting now than ever. It seems that -nothing- can stop the Shingonaut. How is he even still standing? Much less moving about as he does to block the quick jab from a professional boxer.
In a total opposite of his physical appearance, Shingo is smiling as brightly and fiercely as ever. Man. This is such a fun fight for him. Like really fun. "Mister D! Nice shot! This really is an awesome match! But I still got some tricks left!" And by tricks, he means his signature move. Might as well. He's got nothing left to lose. "SHINGO KIIIIICKU!" He arcs through the air and brings his heavy foot towards Heavy's head. Hit darnit!

Looks like D! just wasn't meant for a two on one. First, he gets jabbed and kneedriven by Leona, then he eats the SHingo kick right in the head, driving him groundward with a hard smash. Barely conscious after that vicious doubleteam, D!'s only got one thing left to do. He wanted to use this when it was a one-on-one...but alas, he has no choice left. All his energy charged into his right fist, he stumbles back, gets both his opponents in sight, and lets his right arm drive forward with an explosion.
If you really need an explanation after this...you're on your own.

Surely after two such vicious attacks D is down and out right? Well he may be out of the fight, but he seems to manage to slam his fist down in one final attack that the mercenary is just in a bad position to attempt to get out of the way off. Instead all Leona can do is throw her arms up to take the brunt of the blow and she gets lifted up and thrown back a few feet to land on her back. She may be a bit worse for wear after that fight, but after a moment the mercenary gets up to her feet while pulling the dogtags from her hair. "I hate fighting on the beach...." she mutters and places the tags back around her neck and looking about to see if Shingo is still standing as well.
Still standing? Not even remotely close. The bombast of volatile chi detonates around the boy with explosive force. Try as he might to roll out of the way, there's just too much energy to avoid. And his body is already battered from all previous attacks. The burst sends him hurtling through the air and crashing to the ground on his back. Where he instantly flips up into a crouch with one knee down. Leona's still standing. Whilest D! is not. Most excellent. Victory is assured. Shingo springs up with one hand held high in the air clenched un a fist, "We did it!" His worn face not matching the large smile beaming forth and radiating everyone around him with its vivaciousness. Right until he falls forward into the sand. Face down. FLUMP.
If anyone is wondering. He's still awake. A sign! One hand is held up with a the thumbs-up posture.
Karin lifts her sunglasses, curiosity about Sakura's defeat to cola put out of her mind by D's rather unfortunate state. "An impressive finish," she mutters, "but probably not enough." However, her gaze lingers on the prone form of Shingo with disgust. "Definitely not enough."

T...thumbs up? Yes, one probably could not get more corny than that. With things seemingly to be over she turns about to walk off since everything seems to be settled and the fight is over. There is no need to linger in such a place afterall. Another mark in the books and another weekend spent working on her skills. With her performance against Rolento the woman still knows she needs much more training before she can take on that man again and next time beat him to a nice pulp like he did with her commander.

Frowning slightly as both HeavyD and her boyfriend go down in their respective blazes of glory, Sakura starts to rise from her towel -- but for some reason she aborts that plan and sits back down. Maybe she shouldn't be rushing off to help Shingo quite so soon, after all! Instead, she just slurps her slurpee. And... waves to Leona. "Good fight, everyone!" she calls out -- though it's likely lost in the cheers of the crowd."
Corny is Shingo's middle name. He is still a kid after all. Despite his age of almost being an adult. He's still a kid at heart. Plus. The thumbs-up is like super awesome terrific. Nothing can beat it. Unless he drops his hand like he did. Mostly so he could use both of his appendages to get back up onto his feet now that the fight is officially over. Shingo wobbles on getting up, but he's more or less fine. He'll be better when the medics finish look at him. Rubbing the back of his head he surveys the cheering crowd that's starting to disperse along the outer edges now that there's nothing else left to see. "Man. That was...totally wicked!" His voice carries high and mighty with excitment. Wobble. Ok. So he shouldn't overdo it. Shingo looks around for some familiar faces.
