This is what the world is watching! So many fighters have assembled at Howard Arena for a battle royale of epic proportions. And yet, Iori hardly seems to care. For lack of anyone better, the warrior with the black moon on his back is the first to stride out into the center of the arena -- obviously, the only man in the assembled crowd. Thumbs hooked in his pockets, he strides out, glancing first one way, then the other. And whistles.
Some people are making this a bit more of a show, though. Haggar comes out soon after Iori, already in his garb, with a towel over his shoulder. Just after passing into the arena proper, Haggar thrusts a fist into the air with a bellow. He tilts his head from side to side, cracking the muscles, then whips his towel off of his shoulder and into the crowd. Having gone through the motions, the Mayor finishes walking to his position.
A Battle Royale of this size, in his hometown? How could he resist? Rock Howard emerges onto the arena, his hands at his sides, looking a little bit more 'into' this fight than he usually does. He's even moving at a quick jog as he makes his way out onto the arena, pulling his jacket snug around his shoulders.
Well, it's yet another free for all going down. And it's a LOT huger than the last one he was in. Heavy D! might be wary about it, with his bandaged nose still showing the effects of the last one he was in. However, he walks out toward the ring all the same. This time, he's all business, his shades and his trademark jacket missing this time, leaving him in but his wraps, fighting shorts, and standard boots. Cracking his knuckles, he climbs up toward the ring. His eyes glance at the other participants in an appraising manner, wondering who he should go after first...and if there' smore yet to come.
Makoto is one of the challengers showing up - not expected to do well, but willing to give it her best shot. Tightening up her belt before entering the ring, she marches in looking as cool and collected as she can...which isn't very, really. Actually participating in matches like this is still newish to her, and she has to avoid making a fool of herself, right?
Just what possessed Terry Bogard to join in this massive brawl is honestly beyond him. But here he is, walking down to the arena proper. Though his eyes are focused and blazing, The Lone Wolf is fairly quiet and humble in his approach. He strides along at a casual place, offering a smile to both the orphans that came to witness him in the crowd, and his fellow competitors.
Cody, still in the middle of asking a question to someone backstage, is shoved roughly out onto the ramp down to the ring. He staggers a few feet, barks a curse back at the guy who shoved him (luckily it's drowned out by the crowd), and then continues begrudgingly down to the ring, clambering quickly in and taking a few warmup swings at the air. Stupid agents not telling him he'd be fighting like eight goddamn people...
Megumi is next up. Once Cody's in the 'ring', Megumi dashes down the walkway. She's had a slight update to her outfit but is otherwise perfectly recognizable. Those fans near the walkway get a quick series of 'fives'/hand-slaps as she runs past, then she's in the arena proper, ready to go. Very 'fired up' today. Heavy D's given a quick wave, then she takes her stance.
True to form, for the better part of everyone else's entrance fanfares and such, Shermie is just standing there looking pretty while she waits for the last possible moment. Stepping out onto the stage fashionably late, as it were. Why should she be in any kind of hurry anyway? She's just here for a little more experience than she could get from anything one on one. She gives a little coy sort of wave to the other fighters, and then adjusts the cuffs of her sleeves while she waits for the word 'go'.
Surveying the attended masses, Iori shakes his head. He's had encounters with most of the people collected here... most of them not recent. Haggar and Cody are notable exceptions -- though of all the new people, he keeps coming back to people he's fought in the past. Most notably: Megumi. Shrugging at the others, he then turns his attention towards the purple-haired one, starting things off with a wave of amethyst flame lobbed her way, rolling across the arena floor. "Miss me much, sweetness?"
And FIGHT TIME. Haggar immediately charges into the fray, picking someone almost at random and leaping up at them. Just his luck - Heavy D! gets to meet the Mayor first, as he turns in the air and thrusts both feet out in the general direction of his chestmeats.
"Hey, Terry! Save some of these guys for me, eh?" Quickly signalling his blonde teacher, Rock Howard slides almost immediately into a combat stance... but, rather than plunging straight into the fray, he takes a few quick hops backwards and towards the edge of the melee, looking as though he's getting ready, and staying ready. "Hey, Megumi! Look out!"

It's hard to imagine how one so used to face to face fights would keep track of things in a free for all. After all, boxing is a two-man sport. It's good that only Haggar attacked D!, as it allows all his focus to be on the mayor. Lifting his arms up, he takes the kick to his arms, sliding back from the impact and quickly rushing in once he's recovered. Not one for flash, he swiftly advances on the mayor and tries to slam his fist into his side as he lands.
Makoto pops her neck sideways just before the match starts, settling into her combat stance, left hand forward. As she usually does, she stays close to what is turning into a mass brawl in the center; she doesn't go in much for strategy at a time like this. She just hits whoever's closest. This time, that happens to be Cody; her attack is a swift left-handed karate chop as she comes up behind him, toward the back of his head.
And they're off! As the chaos begins, Terry simply watches with an amused look on his face. Somehow, he can tell that nobody here is targetting him at the moment. He offers a quick, somewhat wily grin to Rock as a plan formulates in his mind. And immediately afterwards, he's springing off the ground and flying into the air, creating a perfect arc as he extends a leg to nail the only fighter that isn't currently occupied: Shermie.

Despite their presence in this brawl (and fighting everywhere), Cody doesn't really approve of hitting girls. It is with this in mind that h-Ow! He was all geared up to avenge Megumi getting a weird fire thing thrown at her, and now this punk is chopping him. Angrily, he whirls about and snaps his foot out, trying to plant a kick into the girl's stomach. "You think you can hang, punk?!"

Pink. Megumi is pink-haired, not purple. Purple would be the color of Iori's fire. As it heads her way she rushes right at it, planning to jump over it and continue towards Iori. But it's going /very/ fast and she mis-times the leap, causing the flames to blast her legs and knock her down, screaming from the pain. The fire fades quickly, but it still hurt! Flipping back up, she yells and dives at Iori, hoping to do a tackle-takedown and apply a wristlock on one of his hands.

Shermie can only really judge the strength of perhaps two or three of the fighters here today, those being Iori, whom she had quite a bit of trouble against the other night at the mall, and Terry and Haggar, of which she's only heard about through hearsay because of their fame. And so, she starts off with the intent to avoid drawing undue attention to herself where they're concerned. Of course, this apparently doesn't matter where Terry is concerned. He's already taken notice of her and chosen to attack. "!!" is all she gets out before she's caught in the shoulder and taken to one knee. Without a single word, however, she makes quick to try and get away from him rather than retaliate, standing and twirling off to one side to attack who else, but Rock, trying to slam one of her plush thighs right into him.

Pink, purple, whatever. Iori doesn't really know, or care -- he just knows that he likes pissing the girl off from time to time. He chuckles a bit once she gets smacked around -- and when she charges at him, he simply takes advantage of his size, letting himself be grabbed, letting himself be tackled -- but tugging Megumi towards him instead. Introducing her to his elbow, he then reaches for her head with his free hand flaring with bright purple flame -- "Is that your best?"

Mike Haggar tries to take Heavy D!'s punch in a way that would please him, but sadly, that's just not to be. In fact, in his effort to turn and take it on the shoulder, he makes it worse as the punch slips through and drills his ribs. Haggar coughs a bit as he backs away, only to dart forward again, knotting his hands together and bringing both of his arms at Heavy D!'s face. He doesn't seem to be paying attention to the melee at large.

Shermie is in a pretty bad spot -- after taking Terry's Crack Shoot on the shoulder, her thigh is seized out of mid-air by the apprentice, Rock. Both arms splaying upwards to snatch her right out of her attack, Rock momentarily seems to... hestitate, upon realizing what, exactly, he just grabbed. "I... aug--... I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!" Well, whatever that means... he's not stopping as he tugs Shermie downwards and flips straight ahead forward, nailing her on the shoulder with his /own/ version of the Crack Shoot. "Terry! Yagami's beating up on a friend of mine... do me a favor and give her a hand? I don't like the idea of both of us ganging up on miss... umm..." Don't look at her from the neck down, Rock. Don't look. "Actually, maybe I'll go handle Iori... what do you say, teach?"

Funny how things tend toward one on ones even in a big mess like this. Haggar and D! seem to have singled each other out...and that big double smash seriously singles him out. Even if he backed up for it to lessen the impact, the smash hits him HARD in the face, right in his busted nose too! "GHHNNN!!" Reeling, he turns around one full spin. However, used to rolling with the punches, he uses the momentum to send himself lunging back at Haggar, a left chi-spiraling straight lancing for his gut.

Makoto had rather been expecting Cody to fight back. She grins, showing teeth, as Cody spins about and raises his leg. "Of course!" Her plan /was/ to bring her arms up to block as much of the blow as possible, then literally pick him up by the leg...while trying to get into position for it, though, all she managed to do was get kicked in the stomach by Cody's foot, causing her to gasp for air as it's knocked out of her.
"Huh. Whatever!" yells Terry, trying to avoid the crossfire of a few hits that hit their mark and then some. But then, Terry takes a glance towards Megumi. "You're still gonna have to hold your own, girlie." Terry hops away from the crowd of people to get a good angle, and then pounds his fist into the arena floor, sending a wave of chi rocketing on the ground towards the Yagami heir. He doesn't pay any more attention to it, though, as immediately he is bounding around the ring again, aiming to keep moving.
Cody grunts as Makoto takes the kick square in the stomach, his foot passing easily through her attempted defense. Assuming she's out of the fight for a moment, he turns about and gives a quick assessment of the fight, quickly advancing towards Terry and, purely on instinct, begins calling out... something. "Big Mike! You step the blue suede shoes, I'm gonna line drive! Looks like they're the caps!" As he reaches Terry and hops into the air, twirling about and snapping a kick out at the Lone Wolf's throat, he adds in Rock's general direction, "And don't worry, kid, it looks like she wants it!"

Megumi manages to sort of 'roll with' the elbow; it hits but doesn't do any meaningful damage within the context of the fight. But Iori's hand grabs her face, and outright blasts her away, launching her with another hurt cry. Very hurt; this time she has to push herself up rather than an acrobatic recovery. Then she yells to Terry, "Shut up with the 'girlie' crap! I'm here trying to win too!" Then...she backs off, trying to get a few moments to spread her arms out wide, then high and low to create a sparkling red energy wall. It shoots out a few feet, then begins heading back towards her...
Shermie had chosen to attack Rock not because he was Terry's student, she really had no idea, but more because he looked young, and was blonde like the Wolf himself. It sort of felt like it would some kind of substitute for revenge that way. When the boy catches her leg and goes into a flipping kick unmistakably like the one she just recieved not but a few minutes ago, she's again given only a moment to say anything in response. "Ooh- !" *crack* She's caught in the exact same shoulder, and this time when she gets up, she's holding her shoulder herself there like the spot is really injured, and she just allows both Terry and Rock to go where they will in the melee chaos. She really doesn't want any more of that than Rock seems to want to give her. Her head turns as they leave, and she inclines her head toward Makoto, eyeing her through that veil of bangs she has.

Iori doesn't glance towards Rock, but he -does- hear his call for help. In a way, it's a signal that Terry's coming, even as Megumi catches his flames. As she gets knocked back, though, he starts to sense another attack taking a bit more priority -- a Power Wave coming right back at him. Narrowing his eyes, he slashes his hand across his chest, sending his own purple flames rushing up to meet the wave -- annihilating it in a brilliant blast of light. Thus was Megumi saved from another punishing attack -- though Iori's more than a little pissed at the interference. Growling, he pauses to see what this little 'wall' of Megumi's is going to do.

Mike Haggar grunts in response to Cody's yell, crossing his arms and hunching down to take the Chi punch from the boxer in the bulk - he seems to do a good job of it, sliding back about two feet - and using that to his advantage, turning away from Heavy D! and proceeding in that direction almost seemingly at random toward Iori Yagami. He balls up a fist and sends it flying around straight for his temple. "Hey kid... get a haircut."
Rock watches as Shermie seems to take a break in order to focus, and decides that... he's going to fight someone less intimidating. As such, he takes off, like a /shot/, in the direction of Iori -- Iori, who is about to find himself smashed between way too many Hakyokosaken users to be healthy. Rocketing towards him, the Junior Howard extends one elbow out, chi propelling him across the arena floor towards his intended target.
The Boxer frowns as his attack is stopped by Haggar's mighty arm and chest, the strike blunted. It's a blessing that Haggar decided to attack someone else OTHER than him though. It gives D! a chance to focus on someone else this time. Like....hey, that guy looks familiar. "Hey, weren't you something big in the city a few years back?" he shouts to Cody...before he rushes across the ring and tries to drive a quick overhand haymaker toward the Street Brawler's shoulder.
Makoto finally recovers, but sees that Cody has wandered off to beat up someone else. Lucky her...sort of. She wanted to show she could do things, dammit! Seeing as Cody has gone to harass Terry, she dashes that way in a blur of speed - she'd been going to attack Cody, but Heavy D! is too tempting a target to ignore, and she changes direction slightly before punching, finally skidding to a stop.

"Well alright, then! That's the spirit, Ms. Girlie!" Terry yells to the schoolgirl, apparently highly amused. Of course, while this happens Terry manages to overhear Cody's wacky street lingo, and Terry being from that sort of upbringing is able to pretty much understand who they're referring to. Terry turns to see Cody delivering a flying kick. But instead of taking any defensive maneuver, he just takes it to the neck, and rolls with it. As it travels midway, the Legendary Wolf ducks his head under his foot and then rises up, delivering a vicious uppercut to Cody's face, giving him even more to deal with!

Cody raises an eyebrow as Terry just _takes_ his kick, and drops back to the ground, quickly reverting to his regular fighting stance. And then OH GOD PUNCHED IN THE SHOULDER and as Cody whirls, alarmed, to face Heavy D it's OH GOD UPPERCUT FROM TERRY ASUGSHDh. That second one lays him about, and even though it hurts very badly sir, Cody, growling, scrambles back to his feet quickly, bellowing, "THE JUICE IS LOOSE!"
And then blue flash, slowdown, afterimages, yadda yadda. You all know the drill. Long story short, Cody LOOSES THE JUICE right at Terry, unloading a veritable flurry of kicks of all varieties at him.

Megumi's energy 'wall' continues to head towards her, eventually going over her like an automated car-wash. The result is profound, improving her posture a great deal. Still hurting, but not as badly as before. Terry's use of 'girlie' gets just a light nod, then she sees Shermie and charges. "Haven't met you before," she announces while trying to grab at one of Shermie's arms before she makes a pivoting side-step, crouches, and tries to throw Shermie past the extended knee in a typical Aiki throw.

While Makoto is busy focusing her efforts elsewhere, Shermie decides it's high time she actually made some kind of impact on someone, and since the other girl's back is turned it seems like the perfect opportunity for her. She takes her sweet time getting there, bouncing along at a casual pace, until she's right up behind Makoto and making a grab for her. Just as her arms reach out though, Megumi just charges in and says her hello by taking one of those arms, twisting it, and throwing it over her own crouched form. She lands with a girlish grunt, and then sighs before making sure her hair is all still in place. "Suppose I need to pay a little more attention in a fight like this." Damn the girl for interrupting her... that would have been perfect. Makoto hadn't even noticed her yet! She sneers a bit at Megumi, and pushes back up to go running over to Makoto again and making a more hasty grab for her, annoucing herself with, "Now where what I? Oh yes, your present!" Her arms lock around the Rindoukan practitioner's waist, and then she starts to try and lean back with her for a series of suplexes that come in quick succession. Fast enough to make a person dizzy.

Iori finds a few moments for himself in this fight. Megumi's getting hit by her own wave -- comedy. But at least she's taking on Shermie instead now. Terry's turned tail and run -- predictable. Haggar's balling a punch, and Rock's firing an elbow and a followup punch at him? Oh, joy, new targets. "Well, look who's public enemy number one..." he mutters, a feral grin crawling across his face. Catching Haggar's hand in an open palm, he then slides out of the path of Rock's strike, still gripping the ex-pro-wrestler's hand in his own. In fact, he's -attempting- to use the strength of his Orochi bloodline to pull the wrestler around, and hopefully send him careening into Rock instead. "Olé!" he cries, a cruel smirk playing across his features.

Haggar's pulled off his feet, that much is certain, but he manages to pull away from the throw before it can get too dangerous for bystanders. He drops into a somewhat painful roll to cut his momentum, then bounds back up and charges anew at Iori, arms reaching out dangerously.
"Hey, Mr. Mayor... I don't know you, but... this might call for a bit of a team-up. Howsabout I take the high road, and you take the low road?" Alas -- Haggar is also going after Iori, and Rock isn't doing anything to change up the attack. As Haggar reaches out, Rock charges Iori and leaps straight into the air, plummeting downwards and driving one chi-fueled fist as Iori's face.

After hitting dead on with his Rock Crush, D! quickly pulls his arms in to prepare for any retaliation Cody might try. However, it's not the fellow Metroite, but the gi-ed girl from the other side that attacks instead! Catching movement from the corner of his eye, the street boxer takes the punch to one arm, tensed muscles deflecting the blow a bit. His brow furrows as he takes the hit, pulling the non-hit arm out of his guard to hook his fist back toward Makoto. Where it hits on the smaller girl...or if it even hits at all...depends on her.

Makoto is lifted up, up and away by Shermie, right after her punch strikes Heavy D!'s arm. "Hey!" She seems mostly surprised at first - before Shermie tips back with her in hand, smashing her against the ground. Over. And over. And one last time. The /only/ good part about this is that, since she's been picked up, Heavy D!'s punch doesn't reach her. Finally, though, she manages to get out of Shermie's grip. Taking a deep breath to focus herself, both hands near her stomach, she suddenly rushes forward (not that she has far to move) and levels a series of rapid punches, kicks and chops at Shermie, teeth gritted from exertion.

Each kick comes into contact with Terry, but unfortunately each kick is deftly knocked away. Terry knocks each of the attacks away, the impact ringing through his arm each time. Despite this, he is quick to his counterattack. This time, he propels forward with incredible speed, a knuckle outstretched, blazing with blue chi, and aiming to send Cody quite a good distance back.

"Graaah!" roars Cody, as his Dead End Irony winds down, and when the Burn Knuckle comes in he does the Haggar and simply Bigs at it, the chi-engulfed fist slamming into his braced chest and burning a hole right through his shirt, forcing the thug backwards a few steps. He's quick to recover, however, despite his injured state, and hops forwards, whirling about in an absurdly fast 360-degree midair spin and coming out of it into an uppercut aimed at Terry's chin; an eight-foot tall whirlwind, laced with blue chi, bursts into existence around Terry's current position just as the blow reaches its' end.
Megumi backs off from the brawl between Makoto, Shermie, and Heavy D. A backflip carries her away from that fight, and once she lands she makes another arms-wide/arms-high-and-low gesture to create a red energy wall. It goes out, and then begins coming her way. It's smaller than the last one was, notably so. As it begins its return path, Megumi takes a moment to survey the fight, see who's going after who, that sort of thing.

Shermie is left a bit winded after tossing the younger fighter around like that, but she's still got enough breath in her when she straightens back up to go into a short bout of laughter when she's through. She saw that punch coming, and she would have hesitated to hold the girl there and let her take it before going into her maneuver if she wasn't already too far with it. She finds this amusing. "Well, I guess it actually sort of was more of a present this time. I didn't mean to come to your rescue or anything." She smirks, and then Makoto just goes all karate on her ass while she's too busy gloating to do much of anything about it. She takes a step back and tries to put a forearm in the way of each strike in a graceful fashion, but each time it turns out to be a bit *too* graceful, too weak to stop such heavy blows, and she again ends up taking a knee, coughing a bit and just looking exhausted as she stands up and strides back in to try for one last retaliatory throw, clapping a hand onto the disciplined young girl's shoulder and flip herself up into a handstand with a twist.

Iori doesn't seem too happy that he botched the attempt at grabbing Haggar -- but being that the wrestler is continuing a charge, Iori decides being hit by the musclehead wouldn't be too cheerful. Ducking under the charge, he comes up to find Rock's fist rocketing down at him: Iori just flings his shoulder into the blow, absorbing it neatly. About this time, he realizes that Megumi's doing that whole 'wall' thing again. Great, he'll have to tag her later -- Rock's the most pressing target right now, though. As the Howard boy falls, Yagami rushes up to greet him with his right elbow, before slamming his left hand at his face, fully intending to catch him in the face with an explosive bloom of amethyst flame. "Got any more tired cliches to bore us with, Howard?"
Mike Haggar is ducked under, and proceeds to run right on past Iori. He stops himself before going to far, turning with arms crossed as he expects a followup attack from Iori... but, well, looks like Iori's keeping up with someone he knows better. Disrespectful punk kid. Mike starts coming up behind Iori, trying to grapple him from behind and put him in an uncomfortable Abdominal Stretch hold.

The young blonde gets hurled a few several feet by the force of the explosion, hitting the ground and tumbling a few feet to the side. Eventually, though, he begins to climb to his feet, grunting a little. "... That stung." Okay, Howard. Time for a new gameplan.

HeavyD frowns as his punch is evaded, if only unintentionally. However, seeing as the fights have all ventured elsewhere, it seems like a good time as any for the boxer to ready up himself. Fists tightening, he focuses his mind, gathering all of his will into his fists and readying himself to bring out his big guns. He's going to need them, after all.

Makoto quite literally shoves Shermie's hand aside, charging forward as she does. Shermie can just fall there...she's about to deal with Heavy D! She saw him try to punch her before. Launching herself into the air, she flips once while airborne before extending a foot, trying to smash it into Heavy D!'s head with the complete force of her fall and spin.

Unfortunately for Cody, Terry is completely unrelenting. He watches his punch dissipat against Cody's chest, but while he does so he doesn't take the time to gasp in amazement. He immediately throws his weight right, the whirlwind of chi barely grazing his leg. And immediately, Terry throws himself up while giving him a MASSIVE kick to the stomach, following up with a kick to the head with the same leg.

And that's just about how it works too. Shermie was up there nice and high, trying to balance on her hand, and Makoto's /much bigger/ hand just came up and brushed it right off her shoulder. A sharp squeal follows, and then Shermie just goes barrel-rolling down to the ground to fall flat on her face. Whether or not she's really unconscious is anyone's guess after that, since one can't see her eyes to know if they're still open at all behind her bangs, but it's probably safe to assume since she never even moves to roll over or try to get up.
Eyes widening, Cody finally is able to move fast enough to evade Terry and twists out of the way of the first kick, which of course means he's nowhere near the second. He hesitates for just a split second, lfiting his fist to strike at Terry again, but then points behind him and yells, "DUCK!"
Whether or not he does, Cody promptly gets the hell out of dodge, turning and sprinting across the ring; he happens to pass by the standing Rock as he does, and decides it'd be a good idea to leap up onto the rising boy's shoulders as he runs, plant his foot on the side of the kid's head, and ride him down to the ground like a cheap carnival ride.
So he does.

Megumi is washed-over by her next energy wall, and...smiles. "Love how good that feels!" And now she's ready to get back into the fight, cupping her hands in front of her to form a sparkling red sphere, basketball-sized. She pulls it behind her head with one hand, then slings it at Iori and starts sprinting at him.

Iori doesn't know what an Abdominal Stretch Hold is, but it doesn't sound pleasant. Neither does the sound of Megumi undoing all the damage Iori had already dealt to her. It's just enough to make an unstable psychopath just a smidge more angry. Especially since she seems to be turning to face him again now. "Never give the bitches a break, it'll -always- bite you in the ass..." he mumbles as the comet comes streaking towards him. Glowering, he steps forward, slashing to the side and sweeping Haggar's hands away with an arm, balling up a mass of chi in the process. "Shoulda taken you down when I had the chance..." Flicking it across the ground towards the comet, he snaps his fingers to ignite a raging column of purple lightning... just a half second too late. Megumi's attack ripples through it, slamming into Iori and knocking him a couple yards back -- dazing him, with a weak shake of his head. "Pfft. Everyone gets lucky once."
The wrestler's arms having been swept aside gives him the perfect excuse to use one of his favorite moves. "Sounds like you need to learn respect!" Haggar comes back around, arms rigid at his sides, feet pumping to send him spinning even faster. He leans dangerously in Iori's direction, trying to big him in the face.
Momentarily alone amidst a massive crossfire of attacks going every which way, Rock abruptly charges into the battle once more, racing at top speed towards what is, perhaps, an unsual target: Makoto. Rock gets nailed in the head by Cody while he makes his run... the hit looks pretty harsh, but not bad enough to put Rock down for long. Getting up onto his feet, Rock looks at the ex-con, grunting a little bit. "... sss. Nice shot. But I've got something to take care of, first. You've probably got your hands full with Terry, anyhow." About to crash right into the "boy", Rock cracks a smirk. "Sorry about this... but even for a jerk like Iori, I don't like helping to gang up on him like this!" And the moment he's about to make contact... whoosh. Rock vanishes, reappearing, abruptly, /behind/ Makoto -- a momentary burst of speed so fast as to render him little more than a blur. Collapsing downwards, Howard makes a grab for Makoto's ankle, aiming to whirl his arms around and toss him (her?) through the air, aiming towards the rough 'epicenter' of the fighting, as though attempting to disrupt that combat to his advantage.

Trying to absorb the hit coming toward him was probably not the best of ideas. However, it was the only way Heavy D! be sure that this attack could really hit. Letting Makoto flip at him, he crouches, ducking his head low. The foot smashes right below his neck, almost sending him face first into the ground. However, he endures it, and brings his fist down swiftly with a growl. Upon impacting with the ring, a mighty explosion of chi blooms up around D!, Makoto, and the unfortunate Rock, who leapt into the range of the blast just in time.

Makoto is, once again, picked up and thrown. For someone who absolutely /hates/ being grabbed, today is turning out to be a bad day indeed. Despite her attempts to /stay on the ground/, Rock sends her flying; she twists about in the air, though, and lands running - back toward where she was launched from - despite the pain of the landing on her legs. The explosion of chi barely stops her; she appears to literally run right through it, charging the poor guy who picked her up with a series of knees and kicks, followed by a slam to launch Rock sky-high. She's yelling the whole way, too.
Pursuing Cody is probably not the best idea, and it would no doubt leave him vulnerable. Not only is Iori getting double teamed, it looks like he's having quite a bad bit of luck! While Terry might not exactly like him, he feels obligated to make things at least a little bit even. So immediately he springs forth into combat, and delivers a leaping kick straight towards the back of the biggest target of all!
Oh, damnit; Cody had just disengaged from Terry, and now he's going after the one guy he's kind of obligated to watch out for. "Twelve o'clock, Big Mike!" he bellows, sticking a hand into a pocket, drawing and opening a switchblade in the same motion, and shifting his grip in order to throw it at Terry like a dart.
Megumi keeps running, giving an elated "Yes!" as she gets very, very lucky with her blast going through Iori's. And then there's Haggar, sending spinning clotheslines at Iori. That rules out attacking high, so she ducks down to avoid the lariats and get behind Iori. A quick "Thanks" is said to Haggar as she tries to wrap her arms around Iori's waist, then bridge backwards and execute a German Suplex to hopefully bring Iori's head and shoulders down on the arena floor.

Iori's still rather low, really, from when he got knocked down by Megumi. It's only when he -stands- that Haggar starts being a threat -- and at that point, it's all Iori can do to throw up a quick forearm, blocking the high clotheslines from the burly wrestler, and hopefully leaving him open for Terry to come up and hit the mayor from behind. "So sweet of you, Bogard." Which is probably the closest Terry gets to a 'thanks' from the man. As for Megumi -- well, Iori's charging forward to meet her. He doesn't really see her grabbing him to be a threat -- and indeed, he uses part of the suplex to his advantage, allowing Megumi to get him out of Haggar's way -- but he snaps out of the move at the last moment, catching the floor with his outstretched arms and doing a halfassed handstand roll to get out of the way. Which basically means that he's already in striking range when he gets back to his feet -- perfect striking range for him to leap forward, swinging his arm overhead, slapping his hand down upon Megumi's face with burning purple flames. It's a bit more rapid this time...

Haggar's spin is mostly halted by Iori's block, and the wrestler half-steps, half-spins away. At Cody's cry, Haggar immediately drops back almost to the ground, with reflexes born from massive melees like this. Time almost seems to slow down as Haggar watches Terry's foot soar right where the back of his head was just a moment before. Opportunity knocks, and Haggar is there to answer - the wrestler surges back up, grabbing for the leg and trying to pull Terry out of the air, making a half-turn and hoping to release him somewhere behind him.

Rock's arms fly up to shield against the power of Heavy D!'s exploding chi... but D! is the least of his concerns. Makoto is also coming towards him like lightning, prompting a quick sidestep away from the Steamroller Girl. It's a very intentional dodge, too: It places him right between Heavy D! and Makoto, both of whom are neatly in close range. "You'll have to be a little faster than that... try this one on for size! Raging....." Collapsing to the arena floor, Rock plunges both fists downwards as a faint wind begins to develop, whirling around his body: A wind that is soon joined by a torrent of purple chi, venting right out of his body and twisting around him, threatening to engulf both D! and Makoto. "... STOOOOOOORM!"

Pulling his arm up after his unsuccessful explosive strike, D! starts moving backwards, not liking his chances with two people he already knows can hit hard in range. Pulling up his arms, he backsteps just as Rock slams down and sets out the Raging storm. The impact sends him backward, but he manages to absorb the attack, his jump back softening the blow. Gritting his teeth, he tries to get out of the area again, using the time to focus himself and prepare for the big attacks he's built up.

Wind? Bah! Wind is nothing to Makoto! She simply keeps her distance low, continuing to move toward Rock as he starts doing...whatever he's doing. This is revealed to be a Bad Idea when the chi maelstrom blasts out from him; she recoils, trying to block but unable to do so in time, knocked backwards and onto her front, probably painfully. Having turned a bright brilliant red from exertion and pain, she takes one deep breath on the ground before pushing herself to her knees, and then her feet; growling, she charges Rock. While she stumbles once on the way, the solid punch that she delivers has all of its usual force behind it, as does the trio of follow-ups - and then finally, one massive smash almost straight up, trying to launch Rock sky-high. She holds this pose for a moment...and then rather unimpressively collapses backwards. She is not going to get up again.

And Terry is snagged out of the air, hit in the shoulder with a knife, and generally just beaten the hell out of. He lies on the mat still for a few moments, before he lifts his head, eyes ablaze. He then gets up, staggering, but with his eyes ablaze. He breathes slowly for a moment, before grabbing the knife out of his shoulder and throwing it into the ground, digging the blade into the arena. Who cares about bleeding profusely? And with that, Terry immediately flies towards Haggar, his fist surrounded in orange chi, using both his energy and his momentum to propel himself. When he reaches Haggar, he SLAMS his fist into him, before letting loose a barrage of chi that hopefully hits the both him and Cody. And if the chi doesn't strike the convict, hopefully Haggar's flying body will.

"What?" asks Cody, lowering his raised fists. "I'm, uh... I'm okay, I guess. I mean, I can't really see why you'd be asking that in the middle of a FOH MY GOD!" The shriek comes as he is ENGULFED BY A HUGE CONE OF CHI and sent flying backwards, slamming into the ground - which cracks the ring floor slightly - and skidding across it to the very edge of the ring.
He rolls about briefly there, in _agony,_ before rising to his feet and, with a roar, charging Terry. That whole blue flash and the slow time and the blue afterimages that indicate Go Time thingy returns, too, and Cody's charge ends with Cody attempting to plant one single SUPERPUNCH into Terry's face.
Whether or not it hits, however, he keeps going, and collapses off the ring face-first.

"Whoa!" Megumi's a lot more alert now, and dives sideways out of the path of Iori's jumping palm strike. "What'd I do to you, anyway?" A possibly rhetorical question to Iori as she rolls out of the dive, then flicks her wrist to the side. "Spiral..." Energy-enveloped fist airlines? EEFA doesnt' sound like an attractive acronym. Iori has no plans to ride, but his face -will- be the landing strip: he throws up an arm to block but it ends up being a classic case of too little, too late. "You signed up," he answers. Nothing more than that. Staggering backward from the blow, he rushes out with a plain, simple steel-toed boot to the teenager's stomach. He's juuust about tired of this game.

"Tch..." Heavy D is still up. That's not good. But... okay, he'll deal with that. Amassing chi on both fingertips, Rock sweeps both hands over the ground, taking the opportunity to send his Double Reppuken flying towards Heavy D! -- and sacrificing his opportunity to evade Makoto in order to do so so that he can get the best possible shot off on D!. The result? Rock's cry of, "Double Reppu--" is abruptly cut off by Makoto's steamrolling, sending the blonde fighter flying across the arena. He lands, ultimately, not far from Megumi, grunting a little bit as he climbs to his feet, holding his ribs. "... ow. I think she busted a rib or two with that last hit. Hey, Megumi! I think we're the little fish in this pond, now... what so you fix me up, here, and we'll see if we can't bring this down to you versus me?"

Ok, so maybe trying to find rest in the middle of a fray was a mistake. D! ends up paying dearly too, as even if he saw the projectile coming, all he could do in its path was tense up. The energy blast skids into the boxers body, colliding painfullly and sending D! teetering to the edge. "Nnn...noo..." he mutters, clenching his right fist as he tries his best to balance. However, it becomes obvious he cant, and he simply fires off what he had been saving, the lancing punch of chi blasting toward Rock, and sending D! to collide to the floor below with a painful thud.

And again, Terry manages to deflect the heavy punch. Even with the surging pain in his arm, Terry manages to continue his unrelenting assault upon the Metro City Mayor. Immediately, he's springing forth again, using that same lunging punch he's been known to use so often. Of course, it isn't quite at the same level his former attack was, but Terry knows that he is only trying to put Haggar down for good.
There are certain allowances that are made to you once you have stood back up from a Buster Wolf; one of these is the ability to do at least one thing totally and utterly badass. Cody intends to take his allotted badassery. As the thug descends towards the ground, he receives a flash of inspiration, including a purely hallucinatory montage. And, Eye of the Tiger blaring in his head, he falls from sight...
"Criminal... UPPER-" resonates throughout Howard Arena. It sounds like there might have been more to it, but whatever it is, it's drowned out as a spinning whirlwind explodes into existence around the falling Cody and lifts him back up, flinging him a good fifteen feet in the air and with just enough angle to land at the edge of the ring in a kneeling position, leaning on his fist.
"Hey, punk!" he snarls, rising to his feet and beginning to limp across the ring, headed for Terry. "It ain't cool to hit people while they're down!" As he runs, he bends down and scoops up thin air, which is actually a rock when he raises his hand and chucks the projectile angrily at the back of the Lone Wolf's head.

Megumi lands on her free hand from the Spiral Knuckle technique, and uses it to jump and flip back upward to land on her feet. She's momentarily distracted by finding that Rock has been launched over in her general area, and looks back to trace his path. That's a bad idea since Iori's right there, about to put his foot in her gut. But she turns her gaze back to him just as he starts his kick, a look of abject surprise on her face; as if what he was doing was some sort of big shocker. Hopping backwards lets her avoid it, then she steps behind Rock.
"Yeah, here!" Megumi's hands go wide, then high and low to create another paper-thin, red energy wall. This one goes forward, and Rock will be right in its path, washing over him and fading away afterwards.
"Guys, there's just one bitch left, and if you want -any- chance of winning... I suggest you =hit her as hard as you can=." Iori booms the cold assessment throughout the arena with a cold smirk -- especially resounding once Megumi seems to be throwing her energy wall at Rock instead of trying to put an end to this battle. And... more to piss Megumi off than anything else, he slaps a bloom of flame upon the ground, rolling it over towards Megumi at high speed. Chuckling, he then casts a quick glance over the rest of the arena -- and the fallen bodies. Chuckling once more, he starts considering other... options.

The Mayor gets up far faster than he reasonably should, crossing his arms and taking the punch on his arms. He's driven back harder than normal though, and falls back to a knee. "Grrnnt... nice hit." He pushes forward afterward, balling a fist and bringing it low, when... '...just one bitch left...' ...and Mike Haggar's eyes narrow dangerously. He turns away from Terry, toward Iori. "Not to disrespect you, but he needs his mouth shut." Haggar drops into a three-point stance for just a moment, before pushing off toward Iori, wincing. He's not in good shape right now, but damn if he's going to let it stop him. "Hey, kid! It's time you learned some respect for the ladies!" He brings his hand back as he reaches Yagami, and SLAMS it out at his forehead.

Rock gets 'hit' by Megumi's Aura Mend, seeming momentarily soothed as he rises up a little bit. "Ahhh... I feel top!" he announces, as Heavy D's D. Magnum comes barreling towards him. Moments earlier, Rock had seemed... slow. Injured. It's hard to be agile with a busted rib or two. But now? With a quick lunge to the side, Rock neatly evading the boxer's last ditch attack. "Hoo... didn't do much, but it fixed that rib... maybe a little. But it'll make all the difference. Thanks, Megumi -- if you've got anything more like that, feel free to send it my way... not that I want to distract you, or anything. I guess I owe you one, huh?!" Rock takes that as his cue to chip in a little with Megumi's efforts, sending himself flying towards Iori. Leaping just a few feet off the ground, Rock sends his foot flying towards Iori's stomach; if anything, it'll supplement Haggar's efforts to take him down with one /huge/ hit to the gut, if it works out. There's little to no technique in this one... it's all power, and perhaps a little bit of desperation, at this point.

A nod is given towards Haggar, for the moment. Terry has no real need to complain. After all, he's highly enjoying the fight! He looks back to see a... rock created from scratch nearly nails him in the face. Fortunately, Terry is quick to react. "Hey, buddy. No hard feelings!" he yells, slamming his fist into the ground and creating a shockwave of rippling energy, dissipating the projectile completely. "Now then. You wanna finish this?"

"If you want some, get so-" ~WHAM!~ That's the sound of an unnoticed Power Wave colliding with Cody's knee and sending him to the ground like a sack of bricks, collapsing onto his stomach. And, groaning, he merely lies there for a moment, twitching occasionally and trying to muster up enough strength to stand up. He can still fight, he just... he just needs a little bit.

Megumi looks pretty incensed by what Iori said, and steps aside from Rock to charge at Iori. That proves to be a bad idea, since his fire moves really fast; she once again plans a jump-over but mis-times it due to the sheer speed of the Yami Barai. It slows her down a lot...in fact, it knocks her down as she stumbles and trips from the pain in her legs. "...Don't call me bitch, you jerk."
Megumi handsprings back up, though she's favoring one leg for the moment. Iori has a good point, given that she's stepping away from him and once again doing arms-wide, arms-vertical poses to make that energy wall. It goes out, then begins coasting back towards her, to wash-over and fade away like the others.

After knocking Iori back with the blow to his forehead, Haggar bends down, scooping up the fighter's legs and locking them under his arms. He begins to spin around, starting slow and gaining momentum until he's pulled him off the ground, the force lifting Iori's body until he's perpendicular to Haggar. With a final shout, Haggar releases Iori, hurling him as far away as he can manage.
Iori raises an eyebrow at Megumi. "Fine. I was particularly impressed by Dash's use of the term 'cumdumpster,' myself. Is that better?" He doesn't have much time to elaborate, though -- for though he senses Haggar's approach, he doesn't get the right timing to really get out of his -way-. And once he's hammer-tossed away... well... it's gonna hurt. He lands very, -very- badly on the arena floor, but it's not long before he's rising back to his feet, frame lighting up with the purple flames of his birthright. "... Whatever you prefer to be called, sweetcheeks..." he starts, before he breaks into a full-tilt run at Megumi. "... you're =going= to =die=." Striding once, then twice, he leaps high into the air -- coming crashing down two more strides from Megumi and her sickeningly pink wall. He lashes his arm back, then slings it forward, hurling a wicked punch at her face.

Iori's down... Cody is almost down... and he's still standing. As Haggar takes a pause, Rock seems to focus on him immediately. "... nice work on that one, Mr. Mayor," he begins, "... but you've also done a pretty good job of proving that you're a little too dangerous to remain standing much longer! REPPUKEN!" With that, Rock propels a single wave of chi in Haggar's direction, looking to end his involvement in this fight if at all possible.
And as if to completely ignore/shun Cody's previous advice and rock throwing, Terry immediately dashes in and leaps into the air. Once up high, Terry begins his descent, dropping a quaint little elbow drop aimed for Cody's chest.

"UGAAAAHHH!" Cody, roaring, explodes to his feet in a burst of motion, not even attacking Terry but simply throwing him off through energy and sheer force of big. Of course, this won't necessarily actually hurt Terry at all, but who knows, he might go flying into a meat grinder or something.
Cody stands, arms thrust into the air, and then wobbles uncertainly and fall back to the ground.

Megumi freezes up. For some reason as her energy-wall heads her way, she /stops/, going wide-eyed. As if shocked...and frightened, as well as confused. It happens as Iori's about done talking, just before 'die.' She just stands there.
What happens next is an exercise in very precise timing. The wall washes over Megumi, and Iori is right behind it. She gets out an "Uh?", then dives sideways and rolls out of the dive, letting Iori go by harmlessly. She still looks very shaken up for some reason, but makes a lunge-step at him, grabs Iori by an arm, and spins then throws him down to the arena floor to take him out of the fight. Breathing hard, she rushes at Terry and tries to grab him as well, hoping to apply a wrist-lock to him.

Iori would normally have something to say about getting aikidoed to the floor -- but with the level of energy he has from getting slammed by everyone else, the smartass remains silent. Just a twisted, cruel smile on his face as he looks up at Megumi. If she ever runs into him on a city street, well... she'd better =run=.
Haggar again grins as Rock's Reppuken approaches him. "At least someone here knows who to respect..." One hand gathers up as much of the dust scattered around the block as he can, and just as the Reppuken reaches him, he gives out a yell and throws it up. The wall of particles eats up much of the blast, but enough carries through to smash into his chest and send him sprawling back. Haggar turns a somersault against his will, tumbling into a face down position, lying motionless for a time. And then, impossibly, he slams a fist into the ground. Slowly, the Mayor pushes himself back to his feet, tilting his head to the side with a series of pops. "I didn't clean up Metro by letting hits like that push me down! C'mon, kid."
Rock runs one hand through his hair as Haggar climbs, slowly, back to his feet. "Of course not. You, man... you're made of tough stuff. I wouldn't underestimate you." And he hasn't. The moment Haggar gets standing, he'll realize that another Reppuken is alreadly rushing towards him, having been hurled while the Mayor was still down on the ground. "If you hadn't gotten up, I would have been downright disappointed."

And Terry is brought down by Cody, and then lifted right back up by Megumi, and brought back down! A human body is not made for this kind of punishment, really. But somehow, Terry manages to rise back up. This night sure is full of miracles. Standing up, Terry doesn't waste any time. He grabs both Cody and Megumi, and then SLAMS them together in an almost comedic embrace. And he's not done yet. He then pounds the ground beneath the both of them, sending up a mighty pillar of energy to blast them sky high!

Cody, prone and pretty much owned on the floor of the arena, attempts to roll onto his side and fails miserably, performing what amounts to a flop. He takes a few deep, ragged breaths... and then roars, as he has done several times throughout the fight, and slams his hands against the stone floor, once again creating a few miniscule cracks. He rocks quickly back onto his shoulders and performs a kipup, landing uneasily on his feet, and begins staggering towards Terry.
Of course, then he's grabbed and smacked against Megumi; that doesn't really hurt, it's just surprising. When he sees Terry doing his thing, however, he blurts out, "Bye," to Meg, crouches down, and springs into the air.
He's well out of dodge by the time the Geyser erupts from the ground, and as dust and sand billow up from the force of the blow he descends downwards through the rising cloud, dropping towards Terry and leading with a fist. "HYAAAH!"

Megumi is really wound up all of a sudden...very tense. Terry grabs her and starts to shove her towards Cody, sure. But she pushes her hands out to shove away from him, then backflips off to Terry's side, away from him just as his fist strikes the ground. Very close dodge. Upon landing, she runs and then slides, trying to go beside Terry's leg and sweep it off-balance with her hands. If she gets that, she'll apply an ankle-lock, trying to make him submit/tap-out.

And Terry just... stands there, a grin on his face. He doesn't even move to dodge either of the attacks. In fact, he just falls back and lets Megumi do whatever it is she plans. "It's alright, girlie. You've won." And for the moment, he just lies there.

Mike Haggar tries to roll to the side away from Rock's blast of... what is that, wind? Energy? The power of love? Whichever, Haggar manages to not get out of the way, staggering to the side hard. His hand hits the rock, but only for a moment, as he shoves off with a final burst of energy. The Mayor hurls himself across the arena, arms stretching out toward Rock.

This isn't good. But Rock isn't going to squander the opportunity. As Haggar FLIES towards him, Rock ducks to the side, trying to evade Haggar. He does, sidestepping like a bullfighter... and then he simply grabs the mayor and HURLS him in Cody's direction. It's a bit of a throw, and Haggar is /HEAVY/... but Rock is reacting on a split second's notice, here, and making due with what he has. "Hey, Cody! You've done pretty good so far. I think you deserve to meet the mayor! Shake his hand, why don't you?!"

Cody rebounds away from Terry from the force of the landed punch, bouncing into the air and landing deftly on his feet a short distance away. "Just giving up, huh?" he asks, with a frown, but shrugs after a moment. "Your choice." He takes a moment to size up Megumi, but even in the heat of combat he can't just go and hit a girl, especially one he knows personally.
And so he turns to advance on Rock, slowly breaking into a run and oh my god that's a Haggar. When the Mayor comes flying at him, Cody grunts and bounds into the air, actually running along the top of the thrown Mayor and springing off him, soaring over the ring and descending towards Rock, attempting to deliver an axe kick straight to the top of his head!
Mike Haggar, for what it's worth, isn't much able to keep from being thrown, weakened as he is. He protests when Cody RUNS ON HIM OW WHAT THE HELL but aside from that just sort of skids across the ground after Cody leaps off.
Megumi accepts Terry's words as an equivalent to submitting to the hold, and lets it go. "Thanks Terry, but...I'm not 'girlie.' I'm Megumi!" She sounds proud of that, getting up to...see that Cody is leaving her alone, and Rock's taking him on. She considers going after one of them, but decides against it. "Nah...that'd be dirty pool, after all they've done," she decides aloud. She's waiting for now, observing...

So that's what a concussion feels like.
Rock gets one, from Cody, as he nails him right on top of the head like an absolute ton of bricks. The blonde collapses under himself, just sinking to the ground, exhausted after a long, hard fight.
Cody lands on one foot, his other still atop Rock's head, and carefully removes it, turning to face Megumi and taking a deep breath. "Just you and me now, kid," he states, as he looks about, surveying the fallen. "I might be in trouble if you've gotten better since we last fought." As he speaks, he begins trying to get control of his breathing, turning it slow and methodical. He must find inner peace to achieve victory, goddamnit!

"Ahh?" Megumi looks a little disappointed as Rock goes down, "Man, he wanted to go to the final two with me! Oh well..." Cody's talking to her now, and she's eased up a lot since a few moments ago when Iori was bearing down on her. She's smiling. "Yeah. Just you and me...I kinda feel bad taking you on while you're in that shape, but I wanna win too." She puts her right palm forward, and a red baseball-sized orb of energy forms on it.
It flies out towards Cody, but will not make direct contact. Once it's in his general proximity, it explodes, sending a thin radius of energy spraying in a small area.

"The feeling's mutual," Cody announces, and as the ball of energy streaks towards him, he makes an attempt to leap over it. It, unfortunately, doesn't work, as it explodes and shreds up the lower parts of his legs, tearing apart the pant legs and revealing now-burned flesh.
He doesn't bother continuing the jump, having failed to dodge the projectile, and drops back to the ground, landing in a sprint. Roaring, he descends upon Megumi with RIGHTEOUS FURY, going through his typical It's On Now series of blue flash-timestop-blue afterimages and unleashing upon his young friend a brutal series of kicks, ending with one that snaps upwards at about a 75 degree angle, the brawler trying to slam the bottom of his foot into the girl's chin and send her flying away from him.

Megumi runs to meet Cody, eager to take the fight to him. Then...then Cody speeds up, it would seem. She evades the first kick, but all the others strike true and knock her back, back, back, and then up from the strike to the chin.
Definitely a telling series of blows, as Megumi lands crumpled up on the arena ground a few feet away. "Man...that's something!" She pushes herself back up, and runs in at Cody again. This time she's trying to grab one of his hands and trying to uncurl it to get his fingers loose, which she plans to bend downward while raising his palm up -- a submission hold, if a very basic one.

Cody blinks as Megumi grabs his hand, afraid she's going to profess his undying love for him or something, and flinches heavily when she bends his fingers. Despite the excruciating pain, however, he stares Megumi _right in the eyes,_ takes a deep breath, and then suddenly angles his head downwards and lunges it forward, trying to smash his forehead forcefully against Megumi's face.

Megumi keeps the hold going with one hand, bringing the other up to catch Cody's face. She spins, taking him down to the ground and applying a full wrist-lock...holding very close to him. She's going to get him to tap-out, hopefully.
Left eye twitching, Cody's slammed to the ground, his wrist locked in submission. It actually takes about a minute for Cody to finally sigh and, using his free hand, signal his surrender. "Okay, okay, you win. You can let go."
Megumi does let go once Cody indicates it. Almost instantly. She gets back up, looking around...and sees everyone else is down and out. "Cool..." She decides, and pumps a fist in the air to celebrate. Then...oh yeah, Cody. She'll offer Cody a hand up after that, of course. "Sorry about that, Cody. You alright?"
Over in his position, Haggar begins to stir. His eyes travel over to Cody's location. (look out lupin its zenigata ohj no)
Taking in a ragged breath, Cody climbs slowly to his feet, accepting the hand up for the last leg of his arduous journey standwards. Once he's up he takes a few moments to look around and then claps Megumi on the shoulder, "Not bad, kid. Not quite sure how you did it, but you did it. Guess I'll just have to try harder next time," he shrugs. One final glance around the Arena, and he raises his not-submission'd hand into the air and flashes the horns, for the benefit of the crowd.
And then he sticks his hands in his pockets and ambles out of the ring, descending gradually down the stiairs and whistling a tune, grinning for any cameras that come his way.
Sources later indicate that once backstage, he immediately began running. Oh, you crazy convicted criminal, you!
