Neo League 0165 - NL#0178: Jae Hoon vs Aranha

[Toggle Names]

Description: Jae Hoon while on a hot streak comes face to face with consistent top 8 finisher Aranha at the Old Line in Southtown to match taekwondo vs capoeira to see who's kicks reign supreme in the Neo League.

[JAE HOON]
Of all places Jae Hoon could have expected to have a fight, he didn't bet on a parking lot space.

Yet, here he is.

The day is tepid, with mostly clear skies, and thankfully so. If it were a scorcher, the bottoms of his feet would not do so well on hot pavement. An arrangement has been set up for the League fights here, though nothing terribly fancy. Lines have been painted on the ground, indicating the fighting space, and a table for the judges sits over to the far right, in the shade. Cameras are positioned all around the area in various locations, prepped and ready to take footage of the action.

And Jae? He's ready.

Thus far, he has been on a bit of a winning streak. Such things don't make him cocky, but focused. For the young Kim ward, the point of League is to bring honour to his family name. Lose or win, it doesn't matter, so long as he fights with dignity and integrity. Not to mention, the events are actually helping him get familiar with the city of Southtown itself, which is useful for a foreigner!

Arriving alone, as per usual, he sets his dufflebag on the concrete. A water bottle is withdrawn from within to be set off to the sidelines, which he quickly takes a sip before doing so. Long strides take him to his associated corner of the sparring space, where he begins to lightly bounce on the balls of his feet.

Energizing.

Preparing.

Harnessing that deep inner chi.

And, of course, waiting for his opponent, who is to arrive on the other side of the parking lot. Someone he vaguely knows about, and very much looks forward to engaging in friendly battle with.

Still. A parking lot? Such a strange place to fight...

Clearly the Korean teen has never taken part in a proper bar fight.

[ARANHA]
Aranha felt as though he was resting on his laurels a little too much when it came to the Neo League especially considering the fact that while he was the first match of this season, his initial opponent has been outpacing him in terms of how many fights she's had. While he doubts he'll get in as many matches, he knows he can't rest or else he'll have a hell of a time getting into the final 8 this season.

After the league execs got in contact with him for a time, place, and opponent, Aranha headed to the Old Line. The location was familiar to him since he occasionally made it to the R&B nights here but this would be the first time fighting here. He looked around, taking stock of the environment. Cars in the parking lot. He made a note to himself about not damaging the vehicles and only attempting to bound on them if he absolutely felt pushed. He wasn't trying to get dinged on body repair for vehicles. And that yellow convertible there, looked like it would hurt his wallet if he were to even look at it the wrong way let alone scuff it with his shoes.

He then looks at his opponent. Kim Jae Hoon. On a bit of a hot streak. Son of Kim Kap-Hwan. The list goes on. He visually takes in the information about limb length, height, and estimated weight. The Dancing Spider was going to have to learn the rest while fighting him.

"I go by Aranha. Let's put on a good show for the spectators."

He then nods to the Tae Kwon Do practitioner and then to the official as he waits for him to get things started.

[JAE HOON]
The slow approach of his adversary catches young Jae Hoon's eye, raising his gaze from where he had chosen to focus his attention on until their arrival. A man of considerable shortness in comparison to that of himself, though certainly no doubt a fierce contender, comes forth, with an expression unreadable. The teen observes for a moment, even pausing slightly on the bouncing motion he'd been doing, in order to obtain some gleaning understanding of who he is up against.

Somehow, he feels nervous. This is a first, however, and he is startled by it, but says nothing on it as Aranha stands before him. Giving away the very fact that he has the jitters would not bode well, given how stern this fellow seems to appear.

"Jae Hoon. It is a pleasure," he greets, halving his body into a low, respectful bow. "I am honoured to stand before you in today's match. As you say, let us give the audience a good show through a decent, well-fought match." Then, as he rises, with brown irises glistening, the referee sidles up beside them, prepared to initiate the fight.

That being said, Jae is no slacker.

A slow inhale, and then he sinks down into a defensive stance, torso half turned from his opponent, with fists raised to eye-level. Enough space exists between his hands that he is able to see through to where Aranha stands, some short distance from him. He also can see the referee through this gap, who glances once, twice between them, ensuring that they are ready.

And then... a hand lifts...

"BEGIN!"

[ARANHA]
With the signal given, The Dancing Spider takes on less of a stance and more of a dance, swaying left and right ginga as his lips curl into a smile. His body is relaxed and he seems to move to a rhythm that only he can hear in his head.

And that's when he decides to gather a bit of information on his opponent. How does he react to more unorthodox attacks? How are his defenses like? It just happens that this particular move that he plans on using to obtain that info is one of flashy appearances which often tends to get the crowd into the fight.

The capoeirista tilts into a cartwheel that aborts half-way into it so he can pause upside-down just long enough to open his legs just wide enough that he can slap Jae Hoon in the face with his feet as he whirls around like a tornado.

The capoeirista seemed both relaxed and focused. He's been through a bunch of these fights before. Especially in the league.

[JAE HOON]
Oh... okay.

Creepy smile, but whatever floats your boat, dude.

Calm disposition overtakes all of Jae Hoon's expressions, ebbing away the undertake of jitters into fuel that serves to catapult him through this match. Regardless of whether he is outmatched or not will soon be determined, as he recalls the occasional viewing of this particular character. The dancing sway is recognizable the moment he sees it, and therefore, the Korean teen is able to ascertain some semblance of expectation here.

Not much, though.

Still, he is steadfast as Aranha approaches by way of parkour-like technique, cart-wheeling his way across the space of the lot to close in on him, and quick. Midway, Jae observes the aerial splits, and then a semi-violent tornado forms through the intensive spinning the figure before him begins. The onslaught done in by his opponent probably hopes to be absolutely painful and quick - and it is - but Jae raises his forearms to guard his face. They serve as the shield against the feet that come clashing against his skin, therefore allowing them to miss their mark entirely.

And, lucky for Jae? This maneuver opens up a nice opportunity to strike.

As such, he very much intends to take it.

Should he be speedy enough in his transition, muscular arms will whip out so that he may snake both hands around Aranha's ankle. With a twist of his lean torso, the Kim ward will rotate so that he will bring his adversary clean over his shoulder, tossing him some distance away.

Hopefully not into the door of a lingering vehicle nearby...

[ARANHA]
Decent reflexes? Check. Grappling skills? Unfortunately for Aranha, check.

Normally the flashy move tended to not get punished because it was done so quickly that he usually had an opportunity to spin away without reprisal. Not in this particular case. Jae Hoon shows himself quick enough to snatch his foot and then swing him away. The capoeirista finds himself flying at a vehicle. He kicks out, aiming for a tire so he can push off of it and prevent his body from smashing into a red muscle car but doesn't do much to prevent his impact with the ground. He ultimately chose not getting dinged in the wallet for hitting a vehicle over self-preservation Then again, realizing he has a healing factor might change his perspective on those matters.

Aranha isn't a what one would exactly call a chi-sensitive but as he rises to his feet he sees a slight ripple around Jae Hoon similar to his fight with Olivia right before weirdness happened during their fight. He raises an eyebrow and mumbles to himself, "How come I get the feeling this fight is about to take a turn for the weird?"

He doesn't comment further before performing a front handspring to close the distance and into his kicking range before lashing out with a round kick to body.

[JAE HOON]
After the throw does the Korean teen fall back into his defensive stance once again. Those fists are raised high, poised for any further onslaught this spidery fellow wishes to bestow upon him. Deft and speedy, the past has shown that it is somewhat easy for Jae Hoon to push through or even /slip/ out of his opponent's grasp. On the flip side, when his luck isn't so great, the hits are not kind to him. He prefers not to be too close to the ground, although his opponents thus far have proven to be quite proficient in taking him there. Perhaps Aranha would fair a little differently, Jae does wonder, but it is not a thought he lingers on for long.

Not when another driven kick is flying his way.

So accustomed to defending against these types of attacks, the young Kim ward has full confidence in his abilities to do such. Normally not the type to be flashy in his techniques (aside from some chosen moves), he actually hesitates on displaying anything of particular interest to any onlookers in his block mechanism.

Except, well, at the last possible moment, the decision reverses itself in favour of something absolutely awestriking to witness.

Infusing his chi forth, amber radiates off the surface of his skin much like a sheen of sweat, but without the beads themselves. The lean form of Jae Hoon glows anew as he stoops down, knees bent at a 90-degree angle, and when Aranha approaches with that kick? His own leg rises up in an arching roundhouse, a bright surge of reinforced chi following it its wake. His opponent's foot crosses with his own - Aranha's at his shin. The forceful impact should have absolutely cracked the bone, but the ever glowing energy-infused aura igniting from Jae serves as a shield so thick, no damage breaks through the barrier...

But then, the nature of this chi alters, quite suddenly.

And it is all too familiar to Jae Hoon, who has experienced the foreign sensation of this power coursing through his veins once before.

It is a switch so sudden that he is unable to notice it prior to sending his foot up towards his adversary, the heel intent on driving itself right into the underside of the capoeirista's chin. Should it hit? The pores of his foot would further ooze a corrosive green chi out, searing into Aranha's skin and even dribbling down to eat away at the fabric of any nearby clothing.

COMBATSYS: Aranha blocks Jae Hoon's Shou-Kyaku Hou.

[ARANHA]
The Dancing Spider gets the confirmation in action if not word as capoeirista gets head-hunted by a deft heel to the head. It was something that the capoeirista was likewise accustomed to having sent his way considering he was also trained in a martial art with heavy kicking training. How Aranha deals with it might be a little different than what Jae Hoon might be used to. He brings up his arm with a slight forward step, intercepting it just above the while the corrosive chi splashes the capoeirista in the face. Just as a the splatter hits him on the face his skin is working to seal it shut. It probably would've healed faster if he were at rest though. As kick impacts with his guard, Aranha moves with it using the momentum to take him into another cartwheel

The capoeirista can still see the barely perceivable rippling around the TKD practitioner which means there might be more corrosive chi on the way. He still needs to keep going. After all, his opponent has put on a masterful defensive performance so far.

Aranha takes a moment to shuffle to Jae Hoon's flank before spinning and then lashing out with an outside crescent kick to the head.

COMBATSYS: Aranha successfully hits Jae Hoon with Spin Kick.

[OOC] Jae Hoon >:(

[JAE HOON]
This power...

Where in the heck is it coming from?

Not so taken aback by its presence this time compared to the very first experience with it, Jae Hoon finds himself actually distracted by the mere wonder of it all. There is only one scenario he can think of where he may have obtained this strange chi, but quite honestly? He did NOT expect for it to crop up a second time...

And it's not going away, either.

If his father, or Dong Hwan, or even Rock is witnessing this match from some faraway location, what would they even think of this power? Would they see it as uncharacteristic or even toxic to his usual performance? It is poor form on his part to allow such a thing to pull his mind from the fight.

Yet, it is happening, whether he wants it to or not.

As such, his own foot barely has a chance to settle down and distribute his weight evenly before they are being forced to stumble about. Why? Because Aranha has caught him during his moment of weakness to plow a spinning kick right into his head.

The blow is not so intense that he is absolutely knocked clean off his feet, but he definitely flounders a bit as his head is sharply lilting to the side. Along his cheek does a cut form, drawing blood and smearing it across his handsome features. Instantly, a headache splits across his temple, searing into his head, and as he fumbles off some distance away he actually has to squint a little through the dots speckling his vision in order to properly see his opponent.

With a clearer vision does the Korean teen gather his focus, in which he crouches low for half a second. In a dash, he is off, approaching Aranha at a quickened pace, and once he is within proximity does he extend an empowered, enforcing high kick meant to launch the capoeirista airborne. However, instead of his usual signature flames, that corrosive chi emerges once more to absolutely disintegrate anything it touches. In this case, it will graze along his opponent's collarbone, should it hit.

COMBATSYS: Jae Hoon successfully hits Aranha with Hien Zan ES.

[ARANHA]
The capoeirista tries to lean back but he hesitates. In that slight pause Jae Hoon connects with his chin. Corrosive chi splashes everywhere, destroying his shirt and exposing a muscular chest covered in scars. The capoeirista himself is sent flying into the air before landing on a red sports car hood.

When the capoeirista slides off the vehicle, the hood is dented and the paint job is smoking from the contact with the corrosive chi still clinging to his body. The scarred body likewise smokes and sizzles from the same corrosive chi with Jae Hoon currently out pacing his paltry combat healing factor.

What he was doing was clearly not working so he needed to take a moment to take stock of the situation and figure out where he needed to slip in his shots to turn this fight around.

COMBATSYS: Aranha studies the situation for a moment.

[JAE HOON]
And with that, the foreign energy is gone. Evaporating from his skin, from deep within, into an empty void elsewhere. It is a strange sensation, but honestly, he is quite glad to be rid of it. Now, he actually feels more like himself, like his reactions and thoughts could be properly assessed as belonging to him instead of this invasive power.

Jae Hoon redistributes balance onto his feet once again while he remains a front row witness to the aftermath of his fierce kick. Aranha is looking a little worse for wear, and those scars? They probably tell tales of another time in the poor fellows life.

Considering himself lucky, the martial artist refocuses his attention back to the matter at hand.

It seems his opponent has taken pause for a brief period. There is the possibility that he could do such himself, but he really is not feeling too bad. In fact, this could be a great moment to strike, even if it is entirely predictable.

Deciding perhaps that this is what he will do, the Jae inhales deep, sharp, as he is energized with a renewed energy. And then, he stamps forward.

Enclosing on Aranha's personal space is easy. It is the kick he will have to aim true. Retracting his knee right into his torso, the waits until the last possible second before thrusting his heel right out. It seeks the sternum of his opponent, hopefully serving to wind him and possibly drive him from the vehicle stationed behind him.

A simple redirection of their fight to avoid further collateral damage.

COMBATSYS: Jae Hoon successfully hits Aranha with Thrust Kick.

[ARANHA]
It's at this point it seems as though Jae Hoon has got the capoeirista's number. It was as if he could read the intent of the kick, knew every point where and when that kick was coming but for some reason just could not will himself out of the way of the kick. When the kick lands he has no choice but to move. The kick made that decision for him.

Acidic marks continue to heal though those pre-existing scars remain. The reminants of a life before his body was tampered with against his will. That being said, he still looks rough and probably won't look like he's back to normal until he rests.

Aranha gets his feet back under him and then he closes in on Jae Hoon with a speed that to most is a blink and you might miss him. From there, he lashes out with a blue glowing roundhouse to the head followed by a similarly glowing jumping roundhouse kick, followed by him temporarily turning his back just long enough to flip backwards as slams a final blue chi enhanced kick down upon the taekwondo practitioner.

COMBATSYS: Aranha successfully hits Jae Hoon with Aggressive Dance.

[JAE HOON]
A point worth noting is this possibly slight ability to heal. It is so subtle, but the markings of the acid are smudged away as if they are nothing. A curious power, indeed, and one that has Jae Hoon absolutely intrigued, even as his foot drives right into Aranha's sternum. Would a kick like this even affect him? It's hard to say.

What Jae does know is that there is no moment for pause. No time to think.

His adversary comes flying in so rapidly that it feels as though he has blinked and suddenly, the capoeirista vanished right from his vision. It is only on the edges of his peripherals that he sees the incoming blow, and by that point, it is much too late to evade it.

The first roundhouse knocks right into his temple, the azure chi smacking him with a force of energy strong enough to absolutely take his brain for a spin. Rendered stunned and unable to stop the second assault from hitting the other side of his head, splitting a severe headache right across the arch of his skull. The final kick knocks him from his reverie, the heel driving into the muscle of his shoulder with a blast of chi that rockets him to the ground. It is a lucky stroke that this kick does not land on his previously injured shoulder, but it does hurt all the same, as he slams down, face-first, into the pavement.

Likely, some very intense bruising will form there in less than a day.

Handsome features lift slightly, revealing that the cut he had received earlier has spread into something gnarly, with crimson droplets trickling on the hard concrete. Splaying digits, Jae Hoon pushes himself back up onto his feet, and weirdly? He is smiling. The meaning behind such a grin is elusive for the time being, at least to onlookers. To him, he is absolutely thrilled by this fight. Aranha has proven himself to be quite the adversary.

"You are quick."

But so is Jae, when he wants to be. Defensively positioned, the Korean teen gazes upon his opponent to extend the smile to him.

And then, he is off like a bullet. In the blink of an eye, he seemingly goes from one place to another, pounding the pavement until he is within Aranha's personal space. Silently, his leg raises up to motion into a roundhouse kick that aims to slam right into the fighter's head. The other leg will come around to lick up the length of Aranha's torso, sending him airborne. With that, Jae Hoon will finish off the move by leaping himself into the air by way of a back-flip that leads a crescent kick straight up to the underside of the chin, further launching his opponent even higher into the sky.

COMBATSYS: Aranha blocks Jae Hoon's Hou-yoku Ten-Shou Kyaku EX.

Jae Hoon         0/-------/-======|>>>>>>>\>>>>>>>\2           Aranha

[ARANHA]
To understand how Aranha defended against this attack, you have to go back to his Aggressive Dance. Yes. Part of the reason attack seemed so fast was because of legitimate speed. However part of it was because of the angle he took to get into range for the attack. He moved in slightly around him to just near the outside of his lead leg and away from his power leg. This did two things. One, it made it look just slightly harder to react to and, two, it circled him just enough away from Jae Hoon that it would make him harder to hit with a telling strike. When he drove the teen to the ground, he continued to maintain that positional advantage he managed to temporarily give himself by shuffling slightly to the side. When he got up, he was still positioned outisde of the lead leg.

When Jae went to attack, Aranha would continue to stay outside of that lead leg. At least until that initial kick came in after that, it would come down to skill to keep him from hammering him, rolling with impact after impact, spinning away from the back flip kick and giving up that position he had. It did its job. The opportunity he had hoped to create from his positioning never materialized so he has to keep moving dancing and swaying. And that's when he sees the barely perceivable ripple around Jae Hoon again.

"You're about to use that weird corrosive chi again."

He doesn't give his opponent time to process those words because this is still a fight and something tells him neither his opponent nor the spectators would appreciate him letting up. He skips forward as he delivers a simple side kick to the stomach.

COMBATSYS: Jae Hoon blocks Aranha's Change-Up Kick.

[JAE HOON]
Damn. Close, but the mark doesn't hit.

Ah well. Bygones be bygones.

Swiveling his lithe form about once more, he lands with feet firm to the ground, toes spread over the pavement to distribute his weight, Jae Hoon observes the gentle sway of his opponent. There is a moment where he acknowledges how fast Aranha is, and --

"Huh?" Words tumble from the dancer before he encroaches upon his bubble once more. A side kick thrusts out, and easily enough, the martial artist uses the flat of his palm to deflect the attack, almost like batting away a fly.

The words begin to sink in right as another rise of that foreign chi seeps from his core, trickling through his veins. Despite its corrosive nature, or the mere fact that this is chi not belonging to him, curiously? It does not burn him. Though, the sensation of it feels rather uncomfortable, like something is crawling under the surface of his skin, threatening to burst through at any given moment. Invasive, parasitic in nature...

Well. If he must be imbued with this power, he may as well accept its presence and make use of it.

Even if it does disturb him.

Earth-coloured irises focus forwards, onto Aranha, as he resolves himself with renewed energy. Another kick off from the pavement sends him right to his adversary, where he will attempt to stamp his foot down on an exposed kneecap by way of a frontward kick that will hopefully and effectively bring him straight to the ground.

COMBATSYS: Aranha fails to interrupt Light Kick from Jae Hoon with Joker's Wild ES.

Jae Hoon         1/-------/=======|>>>>>>>\-------\1           Aranha

[ARANHA]
As Aranha's kick is batted aside almost casually, he raises an eyebrow before he is forced to reposition himself so he's not off balance. In that regard, the capoeirista is successful if not on target with his kick. The ever observant capoeirista can even see the look in his eyes when his opponent registers what he said as well as the moment said opponent realizes that Aranha wasn't deceiving him.

Jae Hoon goes for the kick in the leg. As a capoeirista, Aranha detests getting kicked in the leg. As someone who had informed his opponent that they would be using unusual chi, he abhors the fact that said unusual chi was used on his leg. As someone who used prep to set up this moment he loathes the fact that he made a timing error. Aranha leaps up, in an attempt to turn this into a war of attrition, to deliver a kick to the torso with his entire body glowing blue right before Jae Hoon connects the kick to his calf, putting a huge hole in his pants as well sending the capoeirista into an out of control spin that sends his kick off target.

Aranha goes into a desperate crawl before scrambling back to his feet.

[JAE HOON]
Definitely not intentional!

Jae Hoon was appreciate of the information; he just needed to get his kick on... I guess?

Either way, it successfully lands, and without taking any sort of damage from the incoming interrupt, Jae is quick to stamp back and reposition himself to create enough distance from his opponent. After all, Aranha is rather speedy in his own right, and the last thing the Korean wants to do is provide another easy opening for attack.

On top of this, he does notice that invasive chi has wiped away just as fast as it had come on, seemingly intent on leaving to occasional touch on Aranha whenever it chooses to. Somewhat annoying that he has no control over it, but he digresses for the time being. No sense getting worked up over things he can't control, especially not in the middle of a sparring match.

Instead, he allows no opportunity for the capoeirista to recover entirely from his previous attack. Lean form takes off, firing off like a shot. Skip, skip go his feet until he is right in there, smack dab in the personal bubble of Aranha, where he decides to unleash a flurry of kicks. One after the one, two, three! His signature move will burst into the fighter's midsection, indiscriminating on where they land, regardless of whether the surface is scarred or not. The intent is to entirely wind him and knock him back, though perhaps not so far that he may collide with another car...

"Shakka Shuu!" he announces the attack for all to hear, the cry fierce and determined.

COMBATSYS: Aranha parries Jae Hoon's Shakka Shuu EX!

[ARANHA]
Aranha once again showcases his speed but this time it's on a defensive capacity rather than the offensive capacity that he had shown earlier in the fight. Bobbing and weaving to and fro from the initial attacks and when that final kick comes in, the capoeirista darts inside of the kick and shoots out palm towards Jae Hoon's hip to give it a gentle shove. This was to achieve two objectives. To redirect that final kick off course causing it to harmlessly hit air and to reposition Jae Hoon to be off balance.

Meanwhile, the Dancing Spider has some repositioning to do of his own. He gets himself right into his ideal kicking range and should he manage to deliver a fierce roundhouse to the jaw, he'll swing that same leg back in the other direction hooking it behind the teenager's neck and yanking him face first down to the ground.

Meanwhile, Aranha can sense the clock running down on this fight. Jae Hoon had forced him to push his darkstalker physiology beyond what is reasonable for him and if the fight doesn't end soon, his body might force the issue.

COMBATSYS: Aranha successfully hits Jae Hoon with Face Down EX.

[JAE HOON]
Teetering on the balls of his feet, Jae Hoon is knocked by way of a shove off kilter long enough to be vulnerable. An unsightly stumble occurs as he tries to regain his footing, but it is much too late for him to properly obtain it. Aranha quickly acts on this weakness, able to deliver a fierce roundhouse right to his jaw and sharply turn his head from the action. Blinded by the impact, he is unable to see how that kick shapes itself into a hook until the last possible moment, serving to lock around the crook of his neck and force him earthbound. Bracing for impact, such a motion earns him a pulled muscle, which immediately ripples up the length of muscular shoulders the second he hits the pavement.

And boy, does it hurt!

The pain is instant, causing him to grunt out his displeasure of it. There is absolutely no doubt that is going to ache like hell tomorrow, probably even bruise to black along the underside of his nape.

But it does not keep Jae down.

While he lays there, gathering strength to give his tingling arms, the holds fast, unmoving, until such a time that he feels his body is renewed with chi. His veins pump the power through, igniting his core, setting him ablaze, despite how battered and beaten he appears.

In a moment's glance, he shifts so rapidly that his movements blur. Reaching up, a firm grip is aimed for Aranha's ankle, in which he will grab tight so that it remains secure around the base of his neck. Then, Jae will roll his body sideways, taking his opponent with him. Somehow, he is able to maneuver his feet so that they find purchase, and with a burst of energy, he will rise high enough to send the capoeirista flying in a quick gust of a throw. Should he succeed, the momentum will bring him back onto his feet, where he will spread himself into a defensive stance over the concrete.

[ARANHA]
Aranha feels the hand gripping his ankle. His eyes bulge wide open. Most capoeira schools don't train grappling with as much diligence as other martial arts. Aranha had to learn his reaction through the school of hard knocks. He drops down to grab Jae Hoon by the shoulder of his dobok just as the foot presses against him. As the taekwondo practitioner rises to his feet, Aranha is flung but he still maintains grip on the uniform keeping him close even though Jae Hoon is allowed to get back to his feet.

Aranha didn't want to disengage. He wanted to remain close and attempt to finish the fight. In the back of his mind, that ticking clock was still there. He takes a deep breath. He's feeling ragged still pushing his body, still trying to give all he has left to give since he knew he didn't have much longer during this fight.

None of the flash he was showing early in the fight, or the cleaner technique he showed in mid point of the fight, it's a desperate, almost sloppy kick relying more on brute strength than technique. It will show where a person is once the tank is close to empty.

COMBATSYS: Aranha successfully hits Jae Hoon with Fierce Kick.

[JAE HOON]
Despite trying to toss his opponent away, Jae Hoon remains unsuccessful in his ability to do so. Aranha has a firm grip on his uniform, forcing them both to roll up onto their feet. Such a maneuver doesn't allow for any sort of wiggle room, which is to the Korean teens detriment.

Why?

At this close quarters, he can't bring his arms up fast enough to block, and any dodging attempts are practically useless. So, when a fierce kick slams into his midsection, all brute strength and no finesse, he is actually gutted. Air cascades from his mouth with a sharp, "Erk!" The force of the kick sends him rearing back, skidding against the pavement, scuffing and scraping the bottom of his feet against rubble and rocks. It is a rather unpleasant sensation, to be sure.

As he kneels his weight down to the ground, he assesses his general state of affairs, because honestly? He isn't feeling so hot. In fact, he is pretty certain his next technique will be his last.

Crimson drips from the wound on his cheek, trickling down and staining the concrete. Jae rises, his fists held at eye-level, and he pushes forth all the energy he has left in order to make this move count!

Flying towards Aranha, his foot will tuck into his torso, which aches incredibly from the recent pummeling it received. When he is within close proximity, a volley of kicks will zap out to smack either side of his opponent's head. Left temple, right temple. They will be followed up with an aerial assaulting kick, in which massive explosions will shoot off from his feet in an amber-ignited chi that will crest up into the sky and, consequently, likely burn the living hell out of Aranha.

When the final attack is performed, the martial artist will stumble back and eventually collapse to the ground with a "thump!" Unconsciousness will take him soon after, but not until he remains awake enough to see the results of his barrage of flames.

COMBATSYS: Jae Hoon can no longer fight.

[ARANHA]
The capoeirista is swaying. After all, his body has pretty much nothing left to give. He wrung all the speed, power, and durability he could from his body during this fight and he could honestly say that the two put on a show that the audience will remember for a while.

He doesn't have time to reflect on it since for all intents and purposes, the Dancing Spider was a sitting duck as the kick barrage comes in. His head snaps wildly back and forth before being battered into heaven from the fiery barrage of kicks singeing parts of his pants before he hits the ground.

For a few moments Aranha rolls over on the ground and looks over to Jae Hoon. "So that's what your energy looks like..."

He struggles to get up and then collapses on the ground once more. He's done as well.

COMBATSYS: Aranha decides that discretion is the better part of valor.

COMBATSYS: Aranha can no longer fight.
