Match of the Millennium

Description: Mei Lin and Koto are fighting one another to climb up the ladders in the Neo League!

[MEI LIN]
Another season of the Neo League : a new chance for the fighters to make a name for themselves, hon their skills and hopefully, reach out for the top! The Neo League offered Mei Lin the perfect oppotunity to improve and develop as a fighter, and with every opponent and defeat he went through, he became more aware of his weaknesses and how to improve his self taught martial art.

The only downside for Mei Lin with those sort of fight was the general commotion that came with it : the camera crew, the official and medical team that were ready for the aftermatch, as well as the various fans who were there to witness the sporting event. Obviously, Mei Lin didn't really have a crowd following so if there was anyone around they weren't there for him especially, maybe for the other guy or just the even as a whole?

The young man makes his way into the middle of the street, clad in ragged and dirty clothes, no shoes in his feet. "Alright, let's do this," Mei Lin says with renewed resolve. He had a good feeling about this one.

[KOTO]
Really, at the most the following that Koto had was probably way off in who knows wherever he came from. Still, the crazy part? He practically falls off a large building, gliding down and landing with a "Hah!" before striking a pose with one arm curved before him and the other behind him. Then does a series of quick, flashy hand movements ending with his hand in a facing towards his opponent. Said hand has the thumb curled and index and middle fingers up reminescent of a J. He even says throughout it, "Mega Dragon Fighter J-Dragon!" Bringing his hands up to a looser, almost boxer style stance as his legs shift, he adds, "Ready!"

The outlandish outfit probably doesn't help much, but he is light on his feet, ready, and apparently stoked to be in the Neo League from the way he is bouncing on his toes. At least until his feet more firmly plant to the ground and his hands tighten in preparation for the fight.

Unlike Mei Lin's rather bland entrance, Koto's one earns him quite the reaction from the crowd. Such a stunning entrance is hard to miss and the crowd cheers and whistles a bit in excitment. His opponent doesn't seem the least impressed in all of this, in fact, he seems a bit lost when he hears the crowd's reaction.

It takes him a second, but he finally turns his attention to Koto, as if he finally noticed him. A confident smirk on his lips when he faces him. While he was looking at him, something seemed a little off by the way he was staring at Koto's chest.

Mei Lin remains silent but he gets into his combat stance, bending his knees and legs open wide, both hands open up in front of him like claws.

[KOTO]
Shifting his stance more, Koto takes off quickly as he closes the distance in a low sprint, down close to the ground as he seeks to get in close quick.

The short dash is aimed to go right by Mei Lin rather than go for anything head on, but the hand closest is suddenly wreathed in prismatic colors as they lash out attempting to yank him to the hand itself. "FLYING DRAGON!" Is shouted by Koto as he seeks to finish his dashing movement.

For a teenager from the sounds of it, Koto has a surprising about of strength in his attempt to literally lift Mei Lin one handed with that prismatic glowing hand and carry him along in the dash to throw him afterwards if it succeeds.

Mei Lin hardly moves from his stance as he focuses on his opponent. His speed was impressive and Mei Lin had a hard time to follow with Koto's movement, unable to tell when or where he would strike at him exactly.

Mei Lin braces for impact when Koto reaches out for him, unable to escape his grasp, he grunts and reaches out for Koto's hand to try and break free, yet he fails to. Fortunately, he manages to soften the second part of the attack when Koto throws him off, focusing his earth chi toward the earth, causing a large pillar earth to rise up and catch him in mid air, almost like an hand of soft soil catching him and turning him around as it lowers Mei Lin back on the ground on his feet.

"Flying Dragon? Is that some special form of Dragon Kung Fu?" Mei Lin asks. As he gets back on his feet, Mei Lin gives a violent stomp with his right leg on the ground, causing a small tremor, the pavement shattering quickly in front of him straight for, a pillar of rock hard earth erupting from the ground to smash Koto's midsection and knock him back.

Koto replies, "I'm a tokusatsu hero. Calling attack names is normal for us." Then he looks to the stomp, looking at it quizzically before sliding back to block the pillar despite it moving him back a good foot or two.

"Tossing earth at me won't work!" Koto shouts as he moves his stance a bit. And a large, vibrant spread wing design appears under his feet before swirling to his left leg. That ends up surrounded in the energies much like his hand earlier.

Bringing his knee up first towards Mei Lin, the shin follows quickly after as he calls out the attack despite the accompanying thundering sound if it hits, "THUNDER KICK!"

"We're just getting warmed up!" Mei Lin replies, his lips curling into a smile, "You might not say that in a few minutes..." Mei Lin spreads his legs wide, kneeling low and lets the vibration of the ground fills him. While this allowed him to see his opponent, Koto's movements and speed made it difficult for him to see and react to his swift attacks.

He plants his foot into the ground, 'feeling' the tokusatsu hero drawing closer. He readies himself to intercept the blow, ready to endure Koto's kick in order to get a superior positioning but...

... He had greatly underestimated Koto's raw strength. The thundering blast and impact of the knee hit hard and was an impressive sight to behold, unrooting the young Hun Gar fighter with ease, as if a tree was blown away by a mighty tornado.

Mei Lin is knocked away by Koto's Thunder Kick and is sent flying dozens of feet away. He would have gone farther away, most likely, had it not been for the facade of a small business that partially stops Mei Lin's flight. The fighter breaks through the wall and part of the bricks and debris crumble on him as he stumbles and rolls over inside the shop.

It almost felt like this was it, but Mei Lin coughs a few times, slowly forcing himself to his knees, dazed a bit by that blow. His body was covered by dust and he tries to recover still, his stance unsteady still as he walks out of the shop. He thought he had a good feeling but now he's not so sure.

Considering the distance between both of them, when Mei Lin comes out of the shop he leaps on the ground, half a dozens large boulders the size of watermelons bursting out from the pavement in front of him, each one getting puncher or kicked to hurl them in Koto's direction.

Koto takes the attacks head on, wading through them with his arms raised to protect his torso as the boulders land on him one after another, shattering against his costume.

The first one he steps into, there is a slight shift in his stance. The next one he takes more head on, but twists his torso. The third one ends up being all around taken head on before being spun away by his hands as his stance moves from the closer kicking stance he had to a wider one. His hands come up again in a more looser formation before he decides to apparently do something about the rock problem his own way.

One of his hands swings around before coming up in a seeming uppercut like maneuver with his hand being flat as a cascading, prismatic wave launches outwards from the hand. "DRAAAAGON EMPEROR!" The sheer rainbow like wave definitely has the crowd's attention, perhaps.

The barrage of rocks hurled at him hardly seemed to stop him : he was unphased by each one of them Mei Lin was kicking and punching his way, yet he felt they were heading straight in his direction and hit him head on. Even if Mei Lin couldn't see it fully, it was impressive -- he had never seen any of his opponent be able to do such a feat!

Mei Lin's assault stops when Koto retaliates. His arms moving in front of him instinctively to shield his face and body from the prismatic wave of energy, his feet planted into the ground.

Mei Lin winces as he feels the might of his attack, his mind focusing on ignoring the pain, on pushing his body beyond its limit momentarily.

He charges at Koto and swings his fist palm straight at him, following with another strong elbow smash to his midsection. Even if his earth chi had proven rather fruitless so far, Mei Lin finishes with alow kick that causes the earth to rise under Koto's feet to knock him away.

Shifting his feet to a closer stance with a step back, Koto brings his arms up to block the incoming palm. The elbow is deflected slightly by Koto's shifting his stance further towards his original stance.

The earth rising up under his feet, however, has him momentarily unbalanced as he takes another step back. At least until that symbol appears again under his feet. This time instead of staying grounded, however, he takes to the skies in a leap straight upwards.

Not even flipping in the air, Koto's leg raises upwards as the prismatic energies surge towards both of his legs even as he descends, "RAIJIN--"

Indeed, Koto comes downwards in what is probably going to be one hell of a devastating axe kick. To add insult to injury, he even backflips away regardless if it hits or not with a second kick in there aimed at his opponent's torso. "--RYU!"

To make it even worse? That thundering sound from earlier is back. From both kicks if they connect.

His main glaring weakness -- air born attack. It might not be that obviously, but when Koto uses Mei Lin's attack rising earth pillar to perform a great leap, the young man is more or less at loss and blind for a moment, having to rely on his other senses to guide him.

Fortunately for him, Koto had a tendency to shout out his attacks, allowing Mei Lin to get a general idea of his vicinity but... That wasn't enough.

The mighty kick hits Mei Lin head on, crushing the Hun Gar fighter against the ground. The raw force of the impact along with Mei Lin's footing on the ground caused the pavement to shatter and crack all over, forming a small crater around him before he collapses into it under the force of the blow.

Yet, as if he was totally adamant, Mei Lin rises back to his feet. His stance shaken a bit as echoes of pain from the previous blows surge through his body and causes him to cough up blood. He staggers a step or two, until he manages to steady himself and controls the pain, the effort causing him to pant softly. "This... Isn't over yet..." He mutters under his breath. Mei Lin lunges at and attempts to counter with a series of rapid palm thrust to his midsection.

COMBATSYS: Koto fails to interrupt Strong Punch from Mei Lin with Roundhouse Kick.

Koto brings his leg up in a roundhouse to try to fend off the incoming punches, only for the kick to be punched away literally and unbalance Koto for the rest of the rapid fire punches as he steps back under the onslaught, moving to one side as he tries to get his arms in the appropriate positions to block before anything worse comes his way!

Still, he's on a high that his Raijin Ryu hit, and it shows as he weathers the assault and eventually gets his arms up into a proper blocking position for anything that might come at him again.

[MEI LIN]
It was just a matter of time until Mei Lin would collapse from the pain. He was able to withstand the blows, delay the agony and push his body beyond its limit but it was already starting to backlash at him. His stance was wavering, his body twisting in involuntary spasms of pain. Fortunately his succession of palm thrusts were able to connect as Mei Lin fails to chain it up proper due to this pain he felt.

He coughs and falls to one knee, coughing up a bit more blood. He lifts one hand up to wipe it away from his lips. It was his last ace in his sleeves, the last card he had to play before this would be over, "Let's see if the hero can withstand the might of the earth!" The young man slams his fist against the ground, causing a small tremor in the area. The ground ondulates in front of Mei Lin, almost like a wave that bursts forth, a wall of earth rising a dozen feet in front of her and approaching Koto intended on collapsing unto him.

Koto charges right into the incoming wave of literal earth. The avalanche has him bowing his head and he even falls to one knee from the attack as he pushes rubble away by standing back upwards slowly.

Moving his hands to either side in a mimic of wings, his hands come around by his hips before sweeping upwards in a cross fashion, "Dragon Flame Swipe!"

The movement of his hands causes what looks like prismatic flames to surge from his swinging arms in a wide swath at the one who just literally dropped a small mountain of dirt on him.

"Impossible!" Mei Lin gasps as he barely has the time to straighten himself from his attack. The wave of earth had barely even collapsed on the ground that the hero had blasted throught the avalanche to lunge right at him.

Mei Lin attempts to shield himself from the wave of prismatic flames but he wasn't fast enough. The blast of flames is enough to knock him back over his back, falling with a loud thud and a groan of pain.

With his last remaining strength, the young man attempts to rise, but the pain from the previous blows fully echo through his body, wrecking him even more and causing him to just convulse on the ground in pain for a second before he finally just falls unconscious.

COMBATSYS: Mei Lin takes no action.

Koto breathes a bit heavily as he finishes the blast of prismatic flames. His hands held up in the cross posture as he waits. Waits...

And finally relaxes. The young man staggers a bit before standing upright in triumph and raises a hand upwards. Of course he gets a few cheers, but he looks happy at least. Or as happy as his masked face can be said to be. Then he makes his way over towards the paramedics as his costume fades to reveal... well, a high school student. Seriously! Just a high school student no less. And a bruised and battered one, too.
