Description: With Sven Maesters at the top of the heap with his worldwide rookie belt, he has it all. He has defeated his mainstay rival Rainbow Mika. He is uncontested in his belt. And yet, he wants more. He wants respect. And when he has the change to face a newcomer in the Neo-League, he expects to get that respect. Unfortunately, he is rudely awakened by just what kind of opponent Masaaki Himura is... <Winner: Masaaki>
Sven Maesters had never been to Osaka.
Certainly, the context was an opportunity. Sven Maesters was held up by the Capcom Wrestling Federation as the Rookie champion of the world. After defeating his long-time rival Rainbow Mika in a startling upset against Rainbow Mania, now, people had paid attention to the Swedish wrestling outcast. The Warwolf, as he was known, was a wrestling star, the top of the world for wrestler... or he would be.
But he was still only a rookie belt holder.
Amatuer was the word that was used. More showy, than substance. There was not much that could resolve the stigma of only holding a Rookie belt in the professional fighting world. But the Neo-League... that might change minds. When Sven Maester was approached by the Neo-League team for a promotional match in Osaka? He didn't hesitate. The match was at the Dotonbori Canal, late at night. Neon signs sit above and beside, buildings bearing them both high above and right outside the shops, illuminating the street with the bright lights. Even the food carts alongside the street had neon signs of their own, along with various goods. Amongst the regular traffic, a crowd was set up around the sectioned-off segment of the street, where the fight would take place. The cameras were set up, the judges were in place to observe the match. And Sven?
Sven was out of costume at a food cart.
Sitting at the booth, the towering swede had arrived early to just... see the city. And now, as the eve of the fight was ready to begin, he was tucking into a bowl of ramen. With octopus balls naturally. He was shirtless as usual, with his kahki shorts and army boots. But the bearded Swede kept his wolf-skin pelt on his back, with the wolfman mask on the counter. And around his waist? The Worldwide Championship Rookie Belt. Right now, all that it was waiting on was for him to finish his bowl of noodles.
And of course, the circumstance of his opponent...
Masaaki has been in Dotonbori only a couple of times. Usually because someone required to be beaten up for someone in a particularly brutal fashion.
Of course, today was no different for him since only the circumstances are a whole lot different as this time around it would be all perfectly legal, civilized and a whole lot more complicated considering the expected kind of opponent. At least it would be a badly needed change considering the thugs he usually went up against and if he were pragmatic even a loss wouldn't mean too much, except for the part about losing of course.
Naturaly, considering his normal 'job', he couldn't stop himself to arrive on the scene of the battle without at least a bit of a subtle spectacle as he, looking as pristine white in his suit as possible, heads straight down the street to the sectioned off area while being followed by a whole gaggle of rather serious looking, black-suited men who quickly hand him a sheathed katana before quickly dispersing into gathered crowd.
Masaaki Himura has arrived and is more than up for a fight.
There is a slurp, as Sven finishes up.
"Thanks." He begins, before correcting himself with a hasty, half-hearted "Uuuuh Arigato." Growling, he pulls himself off the seat, grabbing his mask as he turns off. Walking alongside the canal, he reaches the spot, a section of the street over the water. And there, the towering swede sees just what he was up against. It's not the man himself, who looks a bit too serious. But the fact he's escorted by a team. Sven Maesters actually has to pause, as that sword comes out stealthy... before the men disappear, fading into the crowd. Sven stares across at his opponent, at a loss of words. Until finally, they come out.
"What is this?"
That was the opening bellow, as Sven swings his wolfpelt cap, striding forward with heavy booted steps. "I see that. You bring a weapon? You are going to need it." He rumbles, holding up his mask. "You are fighting The Warwolf! Sven Maesters, world champion pro wrestler! AWOOO!" He unleashes the howl, beating his chest with his free hand. And with that same hand, he sways it dismissively at Masaaki. "Feh. You are nothing. You are worthless. But I have one question. Are you ready to face the World Rookie Champion?" Sven Maesters bellows, as he brings the wolfman mask down on his face.
"You still got time to walk away now!"

Seeing the hulking wrestler it took Masaaki a moment to confirm for himself that that in fact is not Mr. Shakedown having come back from retirement. The fact that the whole nationality is wrong in addition to the whole shouting about being a wrestler made that relatively easy. Still, he did not expect to have to fight someone that HUGE.
It still doesn't stop him from showing off a bit though, as he holds up his katana and draws it slightly to let some of the local neon-lights reflect off the blade before sheathing it again. "Trust me, I have more weapons than just this blade. Far more. Now, lets get to it. I still have a few other things planned for today." And with that the fight is on as Masaaki runs at the wrestler to deliver a straight kick directly to the wrestlers chest.
COMBATSYS: Sven fully avoids Masaaki's Medium Kick.

Sven was more than size, as he was about to prove.
For a massive swede, the towering wrestler was sinking back down into his grappling stance as Masaaki draws out that blade. A reflex, a flicker of fear. Sven was giving off the scent of weakness. He knew it. But as Masaaki comes charging at him without the blade, courages returns as he fixes his grips. He was bending down as his spreads his stance wider and wider. In a moment, Masaaki comes rioting in with a straight kick.
And he leaps.
For his size, the wrestler proves his deceptive agility as he outright avoids the straight kick, bounding to the side into towards the crowd. He only just comes short from the now-panicking crowd by landing his feet hard into a standing cart of various electronic knick-nacks and doodads. With only a moment of contact, he sends it knocked upside down as he rebounds off it with a second leap... right back at Masaaki. Both arms drawn back, the furious Swede comes rioting in with a double-handed hand chop, aiming straight for the top and -center- of Masaaki's head. It was more flash than substance; it was far from his strongest technique. But the purpose was clear: Sven Masters wasn't going to let himself be underestimated, as he lets out a howl.

The surprising speed and agility is definitely not something Masaaki expected from his opponent, especially since it turns out to be too fast for him to properly react to and even his attempt to block it by lifting his arms coming way too late as the wrestlers hits him in the head and sends him stumbling backwards with a look on his face thats somewhere between dizzyness and shock.
"Damn. Plan B. Lets see how you'll like this." And with that said the Yakuza dashes backwards while at the same time drawing a throwing knife from inside his suit and throws it at the hulking Swede, indicating just what he meant when he mentioned that he has a lot of weapons available.

Sven hurls the full force into the man, sending him staggering. The wrestler himself hits the ground, forced to stand back up again as he recovers. A perceptive person might notice this as the cost of his speed and power: while he could escape quickly, the massive grappler was slow to recover, overbalanced and exposed as he dragged himself together. As the gangster dashes back, though, the Swede responds by charging right after, taking the bait. The knife comes hurling out in the opening, and it looks like that the brawler could not do -anything- to escape it, short of stopping his charge. He doesn't change his path, and Sven takes it in the shoulder.
And he doesn't slow down.
300 lbs of berserker rage comes towering down as Sven Maesters powers through the pain, as the blood pours down his naked shoulder. He doesn't even pull it out as he descends at the Japanese gangster. Staring daggers through the eyes of the mask, he gives a guttural growl as he attempts to seize up Masaaki in his arms. Should he get him in his grips, Masaaki would only have the opening of Sven twisting him around to face away from him... before the Warwolf unleashes a backdrop, lifting Masaaki over his head into a staggering backslam as he falls backwards. All with another howl, one audibly laced with pain.

Getting picked up and being slammed into the ground by a gigantic and way too fast wrestler definitely wasn't what Masaaki had planned for today, even as he just stands there and endures his unwelcome meeting with the ground. Hurts like hell though and it takes the Yakuza a brief moment to clamber back up and stumble back before he actually is clear enough in the head again.
It still doesn't mean that he is about to slow down in the least though as he simply charges back at the wrestler again before leaping shortly before getting too close and transitioning into what is definitely a dropkick straight out of wrestling.

Fortunately, he connected.
Unfortunately, as he slams his opponent down, Sven lies exposed, open for the counter attack that was coming far too fast. While his lack of attention on the knife gave him an adrenaline boost, that weapon was beginning to hurt. He had only half-risen up before Masaaki was charging back, being far more agile than the already quick wrestler. Sven was caught between a rock and a hard place.
And he was going to have to take some lumps with it.
Sven throws up the crook of his muscled arm, while he brings the other one across to rip out the knife in his shoulder. Sven can only barely defend against the staggering dropkick with one arm, as he fights to rip out the knife. Groaning in pain, he stumbles backwards, his arm swelling from the fresh bruise. "You fight dirty." He growls, as he throws the knife to the ground."And you fight like dirt! AWOOO!" The howl comes as some members of the crowd begin to rile up. Sven was gunning up for the Night of the Warwolf. Once that cloak came off?
It would be -pure- berserker rage coming out.
For now, Sven Maester was struggling to get some space. He had momentum right now, continuing a relentless and crushing offense. But with that last dropkick, he was losing it. He needed spacing now... and the only way he was going to get it is to stun his opponent. Drawing back an open, bloodied palm, he attempts to unleash a full-forced slam against the gangster's head, to knock him backwards. Just enough to get some space.
And just enough to start unleashing the real power of the Warwolf.

Masaaki fortunately, for him at least, saw that attack coming a mile away and had gotten back up from the ground fast enough to be able to lift his arms to easily block the slam, preventing it from having too much off an effect on him as he just buckles under it slightly. Not that it isn't enough to increase the pain that is building up to the point it reaches a certain, peculiar point. Namely the one where his adrenaline decides to kick in for real.
"Well, that hurts a lot. Honestly though, if you were to fight where my job leads me regularly you'd probably complain a lot less about how I fight." Interestingly enough despite him taking a moment to pipe up Masaaki actually doesn't bother to do anything, as he just stands there and takes a couple of deep breaths.

Sven was having just a bit of trouble.
Yes, he was unleashing blow after blow. Yes, he was bringing about a relentless offense. The trouble was, his opponent... wasn't getting crushed under it. As he unleashes the full-limbed blow against the gangster, he had hoped that he would beat him down. But the Japanese man was enduring in the face of the towering swede. And what was worse, was that he was -talking back-.
And that in itself was more offensive than any sword.
"Oh, you think I'm not good enough?" That was the rumble from the wrestler as he pounds his chest. "You think I'm no good? You think I am not tough enough to fight swordsman with your suited tough guys? " He thrusts a finger at Masaaki as he storms at the man. He rips at the air, miming tearing apart... something. "You are rubbish! You are garbage! AWOO! AWOO! AROOOOOO!" And there, Sven Maester, steadily turning red, begins to bellow aloud.
"THE NIGHT OF THE WARWOLF HAS BEGUN!"
Sven Maesters rips the wolfpelt cloak off his shoulders, hurling it to the ground. Turning bright red, the Swede channels burn berserker rage as he flies into a frenzy. Frothing mad, the furious Swede hurls himself at Masaaki, his massive mitts lashing out to snag the gangster into his grips again. This time, he wouldn't be doing any simple back slams. No, he would take Masaaki up in his arms, and whirl him around his body, spinning him around it. Before falling down to one knee, finishing with a staggering backbreaker slamming Masaaki right across it.
only if he could catch him, of course.

By the looks of it Masaaki is not having a good day. At least he wouldn't be having one if he wouldn't live for battles like this since the raging berserker does indeed manage to get Masaaki into the grapple and slamms him over his knee, although that doesn't work as well as one would assume as Masaaki manages to adjust his tension enough during the entirety of it that despite the sheer force of the backbreaker and the crack one hears he still looks relatively 'fine' the moment he gets back up afterwards, although the look on his face betrays just how much that HURT.
Naturaly he doesn't waste another moment with further small-talk as the Yakuza simply gets back to charging the wrestler, as he this time just does his best to deliver a combination of several punches to his face followed by a kick.
If he hits, that is.

Sven wasn't yielding.
The wrestler doesn't manage to get a full execution, with the gangster sandbagging his efforts. But as he slams him across and lets him free, Sven was already rising up to a stand. He wasn't holding back, which may have been the mistake. As the Yakuza comes charging in, the grappler suddenly frontflip, aiming to seize up his thighs around Masaaki's neck in mid attack. He would have made, he could have made it. But there was a problem.
In the face of berserker fury, the Warwolf finds himself completely nullified by a single, sudden punch to the head. Knocked back, he doesn't even have time to land on the ground before the follow up assault comes, seizing him with the chain of blows into his masked face. The assault mercifully ends as he is spiked hard with a single kick, smashing him straight past the crowd into a neon sign advertising the new V-Gage, shattering it before both Sven and the sign crash into the ground. Without hesitation, the swede begins an attempt to rise up... before falling back down into a stumble, body bleeding from the broken glass. The audience parts ways, giving Masaaki a clear path to the wrestler... as Sven lets out a strained howl.
One would assume that Masaaki would now go ahead and chase after the wrestler to try to curbstomp him or something along those lines. Unfortunately he fights particularly dirty as he instead does the absolute opposite, although that might be because he is obviously quite bewildered at just how well that attack just went.
"That... was unexpected. Togai! Notes!"
What follows is the Yakuza quickly gesturing towards the broken neon sign upon which one of the suited men in the crowd writes something down in a notepad, followed by Masaaki actually actively dashing into the opposite direction of the wrestler followed by another throwing knife being sent on its way. How many of those things does he have in his suit? As many as necessary.

Sven had lost his momentum.
His ruthless offense was completely nullified. He was on the backfoot, so to speak, recovering from a blow he should not have had to recover from. He could only just make it on his feet as Masaaki was charging. Almost half-mindedly, the grappler throws himself with equal gusto for the charge, throwing charge into charge. The difference? Masaaki had a -knife- coming out back in his direction? And what does Sven do?
That was the cry as Sven takes -another- blade, this time in the torso for a beautiful sucking chest wound. Snarling as his rage begins to wane, his rage pulling away to incapacitating pain, he just throws himself point blank into Masaaki like a rabid bear, unceasing, unslowing. He hurls out punch after punch, attempting to overrun the gangster with a frantic, frenzied chain of blows. And all he needed was an opening to lunge in to make a final, desperate grab at Masaaki... to unleash a stunning piledriver, straight in front of him. But whether he makes the grab or not?
He would be collapsing to one knee at the end of all. Exhausted. Skin turning a deathly pale.

And getting driven into the ground he is, as Masaaki utterly fails at doing anything to ease the the strength of the blows raining down upon him nor the piledriver that ensures that he meets the ground headfirst in the worst way possible with all that it entails. A sickening sound, a Yakuza that barely manages to force himself to get up from it again even with the help of all the adrenaline coursing through him and some extreme urge to pay that back immideately.
"NOW YOU'VE DONE IT! I'LL CRUSH YOU!"
That shout being the introduction to what Masaaki now does as he radiates a red aura and charges at the weakened berserker in an attempt to drive him against the next best wall, taking with them everything in the way before just punching him against the very same wall repedeately before finishing him off with a headbutt.

Sven couldn't escape.
As the assault comes to a close, and Sven falls to one knee, Masaaki responds with equal fury. The wrestler could barely bring his arms up as he is charged into the wall. Back slamming into the wall, he still struggles with his arms up. Blow after blow pours down into him as he struggles to even stand.
And Sven Maesters still holds.
Groaning in pain, the wrestler barely holds fast. There is an audible snap in the face of the barrage, as his arm actually fractures under the full assault. As the headbutt comes, Sven even forces himself to headbutt back, ultimately yielding to the assault with a fresh concussion. Bleeding, broken, and battered, he was in a prime position to yield. And yet, gritting his teeth, he forces back to throw himself into Masaaki. There was no finesse here, no takedown, no leaping. This time, it was a straight forward takedown to lift Masaaki up with his one good arm, and then, slam him down to the ground. And if he could get him that far? He would finish the assault with him mounting on him, trying to make for a pin.
But there wasn't a count out...

Slow and steady... wasn't Sven's style.
Fast, short, intense fights were his style. So when the gangster slips out of his grips, the wrestler finds himself standing around waiting for... what? He was expecting some kind of flourish, some kind of finish, but was getting the strong, silent treatment. The wrestler, blood dripping from under his wolfman mask, just glares at his opponent, as he falls back into his grappling stance. Until finally, he just lets it out.
"Are you making fun of me?!"
An accusing finger comes. "I am World Champion! I have belt! I am strongest! And you do not take me seriously? You are trash! You are garbage! You are horse hockey! I will spit on you! I will crumple you! PATOOIE!" Sven, enraged, makes for a jump in the air, unleashing his OWN drop kick, attempting to plow through Masaaki with both boots out. A reckless, violent attack, easy to leave him wide open... and easy to deliver a staggering finish. The Warwolf might be sleeping now.
But his power was not yet ended.

Sven 1/------=/=======|>>>>>--\-------\0 Masaaki
Coming face to face with the raging wrestler deciding to use a dropkick against him the Yakuza does something that likely isn't particularly sane. Namely drawing his katana to immideately strike back with several swift motions of the blade to interfere with the attack at least in some way. If of course doesn't stop him from getting hit in the face hard enough that it staggers him, but at least he isn't the only one.
"Stop making it continiously harder to respect you. I'm enjoying our fight and intended no insult so far, but if you want to be insulted..." With that said the Yakuza quickly sheathes his katana again and stares at the wrestler to prepare for whatever may come next.
That damnable blade.
The full force of the dropkick is augmented by the size of the wrestler, but Sven was still just a man. And Masaaki? Had a blade. The sword stops the momentum hard, sending Sven into a wild mess that, while it still collides with his opponent, only sends him collapsing down into a heap. Scrambling, he was expecting a followup slash... but only gets a warning. For a different fighter, it might have been heeded. But Sven had a chip on his shoulder. And when he final gets up, he only bellows: "You already insult me!"
That was the retort as the swede whips himself up into a frenzy again. Not enough energy to sustain a true outrage, but just enough to send him hurtling back at the japanese gangster. Front-Flipping forward, he attempts to seize up the man by his neck with his incredible thighs. Once he latched on, if he latched on, he would slam him backwards not once, not twice, but three times, flipping over and over into a violent and brutally three time frankensteiner. And with the only respite being... that he would launch him away, shooting him straight for another neon sign. A last ditch effort.
Hopefully it woul be enough

Once again the only thing saving Masaaki from being completely wiped by what he goes through is some quick adjusting of tension as he gets repedeatly slammed into the ground and thrown in the Neon Sign as the raging Wrestler intended.
It actually takes the Yakuza a while to clamber back up to face the Wrestler again as he just silently stares at him for a moment before rushing straight back at him, picking up a random road cone from the ground as he does so and tries his best to hit the Wrestler in the head with it a few times.

Scooping up the non-wrestler, his grapples once again don't execute fully. It was the stubborn tenacity of the gangster that was flumoxxing Sven, the refusal to just roll over. Sven didn't handle the longer fights very well. And the gangster was carefully extending him out more and more. Exhausted and wrung out, he barely has time to fall back into his stance as he readies him. The knife was still in his chest. He barely even registered it. Masaaki rushes at him, and the wrestler was ready for anything.
And then the traffic cone comes.
Slam, slam, slam. He just didn't see it coming. The blows come wild and staggering, knocking the mask clean off the wrestler's face, exposing his bloodied, beaten, bearded visage. Gritting his teeth in a snarl, the last blow comes as Sven literally throws himself like a ragdoll at Masaaki. In a desperate, last attack, he would attempt to snap his leg around Masaaki, anywhere on Masaaki, and hook him around in a spiralling DDT. To drag him down, to beat him down. But whether he took Masaaki with him or not didn't matter. Once Sven hit the ground?
