Description: Mimiru faces off with a student of Gedo High, Kazuki, for the belt of the pro champion!
Mimiru Kasagi, the holder of the eastern pro belt, has been quite demanding on the organisation. Under no circumstance does she want to fight up in the large arenas and stadiums : nope, all of her fights have to happen around Southtown, in the streets, the park or this time, in the school yard. It was part of the Stray Dog of Southtown, after all, to fight in all sort of places like that.
Her choice this time was Gedo High. She had heard Kazuki was a student there. It would make the fight all the better, with friends and students of his school alike to support him, she believes... That and considering her brother used to go to Gedo High she found it a fitting place to fight.
Everything had been setup in the schoolyard for the fight, a wide area prepared to leave room for the two fighters, some stands have been built up over night for the fight, and some Gedo Students are staring at it from afar, atop the buildings around the courtyard. There are cameraman and an official crew to check over the fight.
The pink haired girl makes her way to the fighting area, lips curled into a wide grin. She cracks her knuckles, followed by her mountain bernese dog, ready to get some action. All that testosterone around certainly is a perfect setting to get your blood pumping for some action.
Not that Kazuki Kirigana had a whole lot in the friends department; he was a fairly quiet, introspective young man. The school turns out for the fight, disrupting classes completely, but there are only three students really in the aikidoka's corner. And those three are more friends of a friend, who also happens to be Kazuki's friend. The young man shows up in his Gedo martial arts uniform, black gi, red hakama pants, with the school logo embroidered in red and gold thread on the back of the gi. The young man also has a large pair of headphones on, which he reomves, and hands to a young woman who (aside from the blue hair and bandage on the right cheek and left forearm) looks completely average.
"Please hold these for me, Tanizaki-san," Kazuki says quietly before turning to face Mimiru. He gives a short bow, never taking his eyes off of the champion. "Thank you for giving me this fight, Kisagi-san," he says to Mimiru even as he slides into a fairly generic fighting stance. "I am ready when you are."

After what Daigo Kazama had done and won the school tournament, the students have earned a sense of pride in their school. A martial artist was going to fight for the eastern pro belt? Just another chance for one of them to stand out from the lot! Lots of Gedo High student would cheer and support Kazuki, even if they don't know him, just for the sake of supporting one of their own. There's also the fact being outside meant not being in classes, which was a good thing. Talk about one girl, promoting skipping class. Oh yeah...
The pink haired young woman strides up in the middle of the fighting ground once Kazuki speaks out to her. Her smile widens as she approaches him. Mimiru's dog remains behind obediently, sitting near one of the stand and watching his mistress get into yet another fight.
"No problem, kid!" Mimiru says, "I know guys around here are real tough, don't expect me to take it easy on ya," She moistens her lips and says, "I'm sure you'll make it worthwhile, ahah,"
Mimiru keeps her gaze locked with Kazuki, getting into a low stance. She opens her arms wide, flames flaring up from her forearms as she concentrates. "Let's start this with a bang!" Mimiru says, intending to get on with the flashy moves right on. She crosses her arms in front of her and sweeps them in front of her, sending a wave of fire straight in Kazuki's direction. Best way to start the hostility rather than dash up at him.

Kazuki brings his arms up, a very faint green aura covering them as the fire splashes across Kazuki's guard. The young man's eyes narrow as he considers for a moment. A projectile fight would not work out in his favor at all; he's not very good at them.
However, Kazuki's style makes him fairly competent at throwing people.
The Aikido Prodigy steps in quickly, hopefully before Mimiru recovers from the launching of the fire, to attempt to grab the Stray Dog by the front of her jacket before planting a foot in her stomach and rolling backwards. The momentum and leverage should, hopefully, prove sufficient to send Mimiru flying!

Judging from the smirk that her red-haired companion flashes Kazuki, Saya Tanizaki may have been one of the worst people for him to hand his headphones too. Sure, she smiled graciously - on-the-job training at the Sleeping Dragon has helpedher get really good at smiling convincingly. And she behaved, sitting prim and proper with Kazuki's headphones right up until the match began.
And then came out the vials of nail polish.
"What are you up to, Saya..." comes the voice of the taller boy looking over her shoulder.
"Nothin'! Just sprucing 'em up for him," replues Saya, as she begins work on a masterpiece.
The cheers from the crowd as the fight begins are enough to earn a laughter out of Mimiru's throat, "Right on, let's dance!" She says, all too eager to get into melee with Kazuki, arms wide open to welcome his his swift approach.
When he reaches out for her jacket, Mimiru's hands instinctively reach out for Kazuki's arms, as if she was about to use some technique to break free but she decides against it. She braces for his foot as he plants it into her stomach and rolls backward, Mimiru following along. She's sent flying and few feet away and manages to twist her body mid-flight, landing and rolling into her back gracefully, absorbing a part of the landing that could have been much rougher if it wasn't for her techniques.
Mimiru rises back to her feet, a grin on her face, "Ah! You're good... Jujitsu? I used to do that some... Before," She says. Mimiru quickly charges back at Kazuki, her chi manifesting into flames on her right leg as she swings it right for Kazuki's midsection. Should it connect, Mimiru quickly follows up, bringing both of her hands high up and sends them down in an attempt to smash Kazuki over the head with her joined fists.

"Aikido," Kazuki answers softly as he steps in towards Mimiru. He knows what is coming; he can hear the flow of Mimiru's song as she throws the kick. Kazuki's plan is fairly simple: grab the leg where it is not on fire, sweep the plant leg, and throw here with a gust of wind while she's still in the air.
The problem is that Kazuki misses the beat where he needs to make the grap. He hears his ribs creak as the kick crashes home, and then finds himself face down on the sidewalk when the fists crash home. He stays down for a moment, shaking the cobwebs loose, listening for his next opening before picking himself up.
Someone's having a fight for a title belt? You can expect Daigo Kazama to be around. It made him feel proud to see someone try to achieve greatness like this, and it made it even better that the whole fight was going in Gedo High's courtyard.
The tall man stands in the crowd, easily spotted due to his height. His arms are folded against his chest, watching silently at the fight unfold. "Come on, Kazuki! Show her what you're made of!" The tall man shouts.
Mimiru's lips curl into a smirk as she notices Kazuki's attempt at countering her kick -- Mimiru has enough experience with jujitsu to recognize some of basic techniques. "That was close," Mimiru admits : even if her roots were in jujitsu, she's been opting for a definately more aggressive sort of fighting style.
Mimiru takes a step back from Kazuki, giving him a moment to get back on his feet before she lunges back at him. Hopefully he'll have had enough of those two seconds to brace for Mimiru's next assault : a powerful uppercut meant to knock him back.

Kazuki is on his feet fairly quickly, and sees as much as hears the uppercut coming. A hand snaps out and catches the punch neatly, drawing a wince from Kazuki. Mimiru hits pretty hard.
"But not close enough, clearly," Kazuki says, still sticking with the keigo speech patterns.
Mimiru's in pretty close still, and Kazuki decides to make use of that.
While he still has Mimiru's hand, Kazuki throws two quick punches aimed at the girl's sternum and jaw. Each punch is accentuated with a flickering splash of pale green energy as Kazuki continues to stay in close!

When Kazuki blocks her punch in his hands, Mimiru's lips curl into a smirk. Her arm is tensed up, as if trying to break through though it was too late.
It was Mimiru's time to show Kazuki some of her own prowess with jujitsu. The pink haired lass manages to twist her body to the side, avoiding Kazuki's rapid punch. Her own free hand reach out for Kazuki's forearm. She quickly turns on her heels, moving her hand under Kazuki's armpit and pressing her back against Kazuki's waist.
She pulls on his arm and uses the momentum of her rotation to throw Kazuki over her shoulder and slam him down against the ground, holding into his arm until he falls to the ground, before letting go of him.
Kazuki lays there for a moment, wondering for half a moment how he ended up staring at the clouds. Mimiru's tossing him around like a practice dummy... and there's something about her expressions he just doesn't /like/. The prodigy's face twists into a scowl.
"Don't..." Kazuki growls, as a seemingly random breeze sweeps through the courtyard. The winds increase, and gather around the young man laying on the pavement. They spin and spiral before erupting into a tornado around Kazuki that is strong enough to pick him up off of the ground. "LOOK DOWN ON ME!" The young man roars as he lands on his feet.
Mimiru might want to get clear, as the vortex grows a bit wider in an attempt to catch the young woman!

Kazuki's sudden scowl causes Mimiru to arch a brow as she took a step away from him. She doesn't notice the breeze, at least until it increases significatively not to be something natural. "Woah, woah, not looking down on you in the slightest here..." The girl says, narrowing her eyes.
Alas though, Mimiru is definately too close to do anything against the swirling tornado that grows around the young prodigy. She attempts to cover her face to shield herself against the wind slash but that ends up being very ineffective. The pink haired girl ends up caught in the vortex and she's swept away by it : her body literally spinning out of control within it, the girl flailing and screaming as she spins around a few times before she gets knocked away and hurled some distance.
Her body's still spinning in midair, preventing her from performing any sort of graceful landing that could soften the blow, she just crashes off into the stands in the distance, the students barely having the time to move away from her.
Her head's still spinning as she attempts to recover, forcing herself back to her feet, with the help of some Gedo High students who just angrily shoves her back into the fighting circle. Mimiru growls a bit, staggering a moment back in, just enough time to shake a fist back at the crowd not too sure who just shoved her back in, still shaken by that blow, obviously.
She glances back at Kazuki and narrows her eyes into a glare, "Alright!" She says, smashing her right fist into her left palm, "If that's what you want, then so be it!"
Mimiru charges back toward Kazuki, "I'll give you my best, see how you like that!" Mimiru shouts. It's her turn to show Kazuki he's not the only one who can do tornados : as soon as Mimiru gets close to him, she quickly spins on her heels, arms stretched out as she turns on herself. Flames swirl in circles around of Mimiru, gathering up around of her and rising upward and after three spins, her dance comes to an abrupt halt as she thrusts her hands in Kazuki's direction to cause all of the flames that gathered around her to burst forth in his direction like a gesyer of flire.

The fireworks have clearly started. While the students are here to support that quiet kid in his fight, they aren't exactly stupid. They scatter a bit just in time for Kazuki to be sent hurtling across the yard in the wake of Mimiru's explosive attack. The young man slams into a wall and slumps to the ground, stunned.
His vision is still spinning as he uses the wall to help him get to his feet, that scowl still firmly fixed on his face. He wobbles slightly as he pushes off to retake his fighting stance. This fight... it's pretty much a lost cause. Truth be told, he's not entirely sure why he dropped the challenge to begin with. But he is here, and the fight is here.
Nothing left to do but to play it out.
The Aikidoka charges in once more, driving a fierce thrust punch at Mimiru's midsection. The technique is solid, but that calm detachment Kazuki was displaying at the start of the fight is gone. The momentum of the strike is enough to carry the young man /past/ Mimiru, regardless of whether or not he actually connects!

Mimiru has to take a moment to steady herself after Kazuki's attack and her own : her head still spins but she steadies herself and takes a deep breath, trying to regain her focus. She looks up at Kazuki, "You've got some guts, boy, I like that..."
When Kazuki's attitude seems to shift and he goes in for something more aggressive, Mimiru's lips curl into a wide grin as she braces for impact. Unyielding and steadfast, Mimiru moves her arms to block Kazuki's fierce punch to her midsection, his strength enough to cause her to slide back some to absorb the impact. "That's more like it! Why didn't you try some other tricks like you did before though, huh?" Mimiru asks : after all, that little tornado had been quite stunning.
True to her word though, Mimiru gives Kazuki her all and she uses this proximity to quickly grab Kazuki's shirt. Hopefully, his aggressive attack will make it easier for her to bring him with her as she rolls into her back and plants her foot for Kazuki's midsection, throwing him off over her.

Kazuki's hand snaps up, shoving Mimiru's hand aaway from his gi before attempting to grab her wrist firmly. At the same time, he reaches up with his free hand to grip just inside Mimiru's elbow and uses the girl's own movement against her. The plan is fairly simple at that point: drive her to the pavement, and then drive a sneakered foot into her windpipe as she hits the ground.
What? Kazuki may be polite, but he has no compunction at all when it comes to removing an opponent's ability to fight.

This fight definately went up a notch and Kazuki's giving Mimiru plenty of examples why she should take him seriously. The way Kazuki breaks through her grip brings a smile to Mimiru's lips : should have expected as much from an Akido martial artist.
Her smile doesn't stay on her face for long though as she attempts to slip away from his grasp but Kazuki manages to reserve her attack against her. In a blink of an eye, she's smashed against the pavement and his foot hits her throat.
The woman curls up in pain, rolling to the side, coughing harshly. She manages to stagger back to her feet but she's obviously shaken by this. The fatigue's obvious on her feature and that attack obviously left her with a numbing exhaustation in all of her body.
Mimiru's full of vivacity though and she manages to shrug off some of that fatigue, ignoring its effects and on her body and pushing herself beyond. She lunges back at Kazuki and attempts to deliver a high kick to his face.

Kazuki leans back slightly, allowing the kick to sail by his head. Kazuki responds by grabbing for the leg before Mimiru can completely recover from the move. If Kazuki makes the grab, the plan is to sweep the plant leg to put Mimiru back on the ground, and use the rotation of the movement to drive a fist into the girl's midsection while she's laid prone.
The scowl is still there, but it seems to be more of a focused expression than one of frustration. He refuses to look bad in front of, well, everyone at this point. Losing his grasp on the situation, by allowing his emotions to run things, would go counter to that intent now.

The sudden grab of Mimiru's leg seems to throw her off balance a moment, giving Kazuki the chance to sweep her off the ground. Fortunately, Mimiru has done enough jujitsu to have an idea of what was coming. The falls on the ground, rolling perfectly with it : both of her arms move immediately to knock off Kazuki's fist before it can connect with her midsection, deflecting his punch.
With a quick swing backward, Mimiru rolls back into her feet in a crouched position. She rises back and thrusts her fist right at Kazuki's midsection before rising back to her full height.

Kazuki locks onto Mimiru's wrist and elbow as the punch comes in. That breeze kicks in once more as Kazuki hauls back on the offered arm. The wind comes sweeping in to assist Kazuki as he plants his back leg and pulls even harder, pulling Mimiru off of her feet.
The young man is not done there, however, letting out a roar of effort as he spins once, then twice, before releasing his grip on Mimiru's arm to send her flying across the courtyard!
Saya looks down at her masterpiece: pinstriped lines of white and cyan, expertly interwoven amongst blue and purple along the earpieces of Kazuki's headphones. With a smug grin, she looks back up to the fight. It's been quite a battle!
Touji, Saya's fiery-headed companion, leans over to note, "He'll either love it or hate it."
It didn't take long to turn the tide of a battle : a couple of seconds and this was just what Kazuki was showing right this moment. Mimiru might have dominated the first part, but the later part of the fight was definately Kazuki's domination.
The girl struggles against Kazuki's grasp, but in the end, her resistance is vain as she ends up spinned around and throw off into the distance. No soft or graceful landing this time : she crashes into her shoulder and rolls a few times on herself on the ground. Mimiru growls in pain, harsh ragged breath coming out of her throat as she rises back to her feet. It seems to require some effort to pull off but she steadies herself and gets back into her combat stance. Hopefully, the distance between them should give her plenty of time to shake off the little beating he's given her and finish this up without getting her ass kicked.
She glares at Kazuki : time to finish this before it's too late. Mimiru charges at Kazuki. The woman shouts loudly, as if to empower her attack. She gives a violent thrust with her right fist for Kazuki's midsection, flames erupting from her fist as she does. Though the moment it connects, a violent explosion follows, a torrent of flames sweeping in Kazuki's direction meant to engulf him and blast him away in the deflagration that comes from Mimiru's punch.

Kazuki lets out a howl of pain as the blast smashes into his midsection. Kirigana digs his heels in even as he coughs up some blood as he reaches one last time for Mimiru's outstretched arm, attempting to make the grab at the wrist... It's right there... he just has to

...and then Kazuki's eyes roll back up into his head as the young man slumps to his knees before falling on his face. The winds die down completely as the courtyard goes silent. Kazuki does not stir.

Mimiru pants softly keeping her aggressive stance after that final blast. She waits until the flames die down, watching Kazuki. He seems down for the count, finally. A few more seconds waiting, and Mimiru's lips curl into a wide victorious grin.
The pink haired girl raises her fist in the air and strikes a pose, "Oh yeah!" She says, beaming proudly. When she first challenged Dan Hibiki for the belt, she could have never dreamed of actually gaining the title... Though with every challenger she gets, she's starting to think maybe she's got the touch.
