Description: Rainbow Mania continues its worldwide tour! Next Stop: Alexandria, Egypt, with one Brett Neuer as the latest attempted roadblock to the wrestler's road to stardom. Will Rainbow Mania continue on, or will it be put on ice? (Winner: Rainbow Mika)
And so we find ourselves in yet another match setup at random through the power of the Neo League in which Rainbow Mika attempts to continue her world tour of fighting! Any challenge, anywhere crowd, anywhere in the world!
Honestly, the trip from Croatia to Dubai to Egypt isn't the most impressive in terms of miles, but it does provide quite a varied look at the world; Southtown and Metro City may be a world apart physically, but they're still major metropolises, and despite being in Japan, Southtown has a lot of western culture.
For this particular fight, the organizes have managed to cordon off a section of the Stanley Bridge in Alexandria, Egypt. Car traffic has been completely cut off in favor of a small fighting ring, and foot traffic is somewhat slowed due to the crowd beginning to form to watch the fight.
This fight happens to stand out against Mika's two most recent battles by virtue of not being in unusual places. There's actually a crowd (which is a step up from the battle that ended up seriously damaging an apartment building on some roof tops in Croatia) and it's not just covered in sand (which means, among other things, Mika is actually wearing her usual costume instead of a bikini of incredible structural integrity).
With her current run in the Neo League, Rainbow Mika has managed to draw in some new attention, and once this fight was scheduled there were some Rainbow Maniacs who went out of their way to watch the fight, holding up signs cheering her on. For Mika's part, she's been here for the last half hour, happily signing autographs for the crowd, taking pictures, and building up a nice level of excitement for the fight.
While Rainbow Mika's tour has been a whirlwind, with the League funding much of it since the start of it, her opponent doesn't quite have anywhere near the exposure she has at this point. In fact, the only professional match he's had at this point on his own was back in Southtown. It may be, in fact, the first time he's stepped foot on this contitnent in his entire life.
Of course, such things are not quite what are on the mind of one Brett Neuer. In fact, the first thing on his mind as he's herded over to the fighting ring set up on the bridge, is not the exotic local, or how much...warmer it is here than it is in Southtown (warm enough in fact to force him into a tank top and gym shorts, considering how much of his wardrobe is for colder weather). The only thing on his mind, as he stood across Mika is....well....
It's how....well prepared she is for the weather, for one thing. Then again, such understated responses are just like Brett, not quite wanting to be blunt about such things.
As he stands across from Mika on the other side of the ring, he tries to focus on everything BUT her. His skates, his gloves, his stick, his helmet...anything to avoid looking at her too much for fear of being TOO visibly embarrassed about her state of dress. "Um...good luck....ma'am...." he says over to Mika, bowing his head a little toward her before taking his stick up in both hands and trying to prep himself, eyes downcast for most of the time in wait for the start signal.
When it's finally time for her opponent to enter the ring, Rainbow Mika steps away from the side of the make-shift ring, just finishing up being part of one fan's selfie, to stand in front of Brett and give him an enthusiastic smile.
"It's nice to be fighting such respectful young fighters lately. Let's give everyone a great fight!" Mika's voice is energetic, excited, and certainly loud. As the fight officiator starts to walk up, Mika swings her arms back and rolls them forward in a quick motion that puts them at the wrestler ready position, spread wide on either side. The quick motion also adds a bit of bounce, but it's hard to avoid that when you're Rainbow Mika.
The event coordinator steps in, quickly rehashes all of the rules, and then waves his arm down to signal the start of the match.

The contrast couldn't be more different at this rate, Mika's energetic and charismatic presence juxtaposed with Brett's polite, almost timid presence, despite having several inches on the burgeoning wrestler. As he finishes going through his last-minute checks, he finally looks back up to Mika...and immediately looks away again. It's VERY hard for him to look straight at her for various reasons.
Instead, he looks over to the officiator, looking and listening to him go over the rules again. Taking a deep breath, he looks down again, stick held as if he were preparing for a hockey-style face-off instead.
And then the signal comes, and Brett....doesn't quite charge out of the gate. No, he instead flitters about along the edge of the ring. THis time, he's finally looking directly at Mika. It's not without issues, the pinkening of his cheeks making clear there's something wrong, but he's at least looking at her. He doesn't quite make a move though, as if gauging the distance and his approach first. Yeah....that's it...."

The rules are being read, and Mika certainly looks as though she's paying attention, but it's really only half there. Having had a good amount of time to work the crowd, the wrestler has already tuned in on the energy of the venue, which is certainly important. Now, with the arrival of her opponent, she has to focus in on the energy he's giving off. Certainly she stands out as a bright spot in the sea of burning excitement, but there's something about all fighters where they are clear and present, like two lighthouses on the sea.
Under the current circumstances, Brett isn't quite giving off all of that fighting spirit. It's slightly problematic to be placed up against somebody currently shy and not entirely amped up for the fight, which ultimately leads to Mika being a bit slow out of the gate.
...Which matters somewhat less when Brett doesn't go right for it and instead leaves the first move for the wrestler. Well, lead off strong.
In an effort to help get the excitement building quickly, Mika raises up her right up, flexing to show off a bit as she pats her bicep with her left arm. "LET'S GET FIRED UP!" The crowd begins to cheer as Mika whips around and suddenly, in the blink of an eye, tenses up the muscles in her legs right before launching herself backwards at full speed. Her ass is stuck out as the warhead on the Mika missile, with her arms, legs, and ponytails trailing behind her as she rockets right at Brett's chest.

Tentative as he is, Brett definitely isn't the most photogenic of fighters, hovering around and not quite set to make the first move it seems. So it's no surprise when MIka is forced to be the one to start things off properly. And it's possibly the...worst sort of move for Brett to handle first thing. The reasons for that are....rather self evident, of course.
"Wait, wh-" he stutters before Mika flies hips-first toward Brett. Eyes wide, his stick comes up, arms bracing on it so the weapon and his right forearm takes the brunt of the attempted body tackle (to be polite about the move). The momentum shoves Brett back before his wheels turn for a hockey stop, helmet askew as he gets himself settled again. "....alright..." is the only response he has, soft as before.
Of course, the tone isn't the same meek tone he had before when introducing himself, and that much is apparent when he lifts his head back up, helmet adjusted to show his eyes again. Going is the timidity from before when he was hovering about. Now, those eyes are focused and peering a hole through Mika as his opponent. Earlier embarrassment is gone right now, and if one thought he'd still be hanging back after that, they'd be wrong.
The Gorin athlete charges in with a hard push off his skate, making his way toward Mika. Lifting his stick up as he nears, the hooked weapon ends up spun around his head, as if the kid was using it as a quarterstaff, or a helicopter blade. With this height of course, it won't really hit anything...at least until he tilts the angle downward, still spinning his hockey stick within his hands as he directs it toward the wrestler.

This is certainly getting a bit better. While Mika can respect that not everyone has what it takes to put on a the most thrilling show for a crowd, the point at which you stand around looking uncomfortable makes it really hard to bring much excitement into things. After all, even Rainbow Mika can only drag a show so far on her own persona.
And it should never be said that Mika is just a spandex clad bombshell going around trying to use sex appeal to drag her career, in the world of professional wrestling you end up facing some of the most physically powerful opponent's possible, so she's learned how to take a few hits. One good method? Not letting people hit you in the head. Mika throws up her arm to ward off the stick as it starts spinning at her. Despite the fact that it's still a hockey stick hitting her over and over, from Brett's position he can quite clearly see a grin on Mika's face.
%t"THAT'S MORE LIKE IT! Let's see what you do about this!" As soon as Brett's stick stops hitting her, Rainbow Mika lunges forward and attempts to hook her right arm in around Brett's neck from the front while her left hand presses into his chest to help haul him up. Once she seems to have gotten him where she wants him (right up vertical on her shoulder), Mika suddenly drops backwards, still managing to balance the hockey player vertically so that when her back hits the ground, his head (and it's protective helmet that will likely get a lot of use in this match) his head has already struck and the full force of both falling travels up his spine.

Continuing to try and batter Mika with his stick and using that height to press some kind of overhead advantage, Brett isn't so hot on seeing that despite the battering, Mika is smiling back up to him. Pulling his stick back, he prepares to try something else, but he ends up getting clinched before he can do anything. And all attempts to fight out, from before he gets pulled into the air, to the sudden drop, is all for naught, as he ends up dropped clean on his head. The only thing keeping him from getting completely scrambled is his helmet, and that's only a small mercy as he drops flat on the ground once his head crashes on the ground.
Groaning in pain, he staggers up to his feet, clutching his head in one hand, stick in the other. "NNhh....." Glowering as he finally gets back up finally, he settles in...and pushes himself back a bit, using his stick to wheel away a few yards away. The reason why becomes clear as he nocks his stick back in the air before letting it crack against the ground in a slap shot, the resulting arc creating a wave of cool blue chi that skids across the ground straight toward Mika.

There are things that Mika is pretty good at: grabbing people, hitting people, being grabbed or hit. There are also things that Mika isn't good at. Such as creating any form of energy... and people throwing stuff. That's one of the shortfalls of traditional professional wrestling; it has a great focus on physical strength and holds as opposed to fireballs and... fireball slapshots.
So, here Mika is staring at a bunch of chi running the ground at her, and not being a particularly high flying wrestler (okay, yes, she a lot of jumps, but she's still fairly grounded), her first instinct is to roll out of the way.
She doesn't.
Nope, instead Rainbow Mika takes the hit and gets knocked back in the midst of her attempt to roll, and does her absolute best to make what may have looked like her rolling seem to the crowd as if it was all part of the hit. It's not faking, so much as attempting to maximize the apparent effectiveness of both parties. To the crowd it doesn't look like a bad roll, it looks like the shark fin chi was simply too fast for Mika to react in time.
This in turn should make it look more impressive when Rainbow Mika pushes herself back up to her feet nearly right away. "That was a pretty good hit. Personally, I like it better when the fight is right up in each other's faces, but I can respect a good technique." While many people might consider this a particularly bad move, Rainbow Mika actually turns toward the crowd and raises her voice. "Seems like I need to get myself into the fight if I want to pull out the win!" she shouts, despite not seeming any worse off than Brett at the moment. She brushes some grit off her ass from hitting the ground, then turns back to her opponent. "Gotta take you seriously if I hope to pull off the pin." She offers the boy a quick wink and blows him a kiss.

With his Shark Crest flying across the ground, Brett sees it crash against Mika and send her back...though far mroe than he figured it would. A small bit of brow furrowing follows, but only for a short moment as he sinks down into a face-off stance again, stick in both hands as he lurches over.
He doesn't move quite yet, especially as Mika uses the time to play to the ground. At this point, even if he's a lot more active now, this other side of Brett shows to be just as problematic as the other for different reasons...particular the fact that he's not terribly chatty as a fighter. As Mika addresses him again, the athlete's only response is to charge in directly toward her.
He doesn't go too fancy with it, either, as he gets closer and closer and doesn't seem to turn away at all, instead dropping his shoulder once he gets in range, trying to shoulder-charge directly into Mika and bowl her over.

As Brett comes flying in at her, Mika simply holds her ground with a grin on her face. Certainly he isn't her ideal opponent (she could definitely give him a few pointers on adding a bit more personality to his fighting persona), but he's finally reached a point where he at least seems to be more comfortable in the fight, ready to give the crowd the excitement they deserve through actions, if not words.
"This is what we're here for!" She shouts as he flies in and tries to knock her off balance. Before he even gets there, she's preparing herself, tensing up the muscles in her body. Refusing to bow or move as she simply stands there, absorbing the blow only by rocking backward slightly.
"THIS IS WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT! We see just who is the best! Give absolutely everything we've got. I show you my best, and you show me your's!"
As she's shouting, she's already moving to take advantage of his recovery, whipping around on her heel, spinning to slam the back of her fist into the side of his helmeted head, using what force remains to plant her feet for another twist, hitting again. This time she draws her hand back after the final blow, locks her legs in position facing away from him, and again launches her ass into his chest, this time at nearly point blank range, with him too stunned to do much about it.

Continuing his charge, Brett plows right into Mika...or at least he tries to, the wrestler standing her ground enough to remain on her feet as he collides with her. Wincing a bit himself as he doesn't feel quite as much give as he was hoping in his head on charge, he pivots off on his wheels, getting the sense that something is coming his way.
And as Mika plays to the crowd again, he hunkers down, bringing his stick up again as Mika swings a backfist at him. Unfortunately, the strike is fast enough to hit him upside the helmet instead, and the following strikes continue on. As much as he tries to shore up his defenses, the hits keep coming, and the flying hip charge into his chest finally sends him backwards, falling back with a hard grunt.
He doesn't stay down for long though, rolling himself back up to his feet, a little worse for the wear. "HHhhnn....hhnnssh...." Squeezing his eyes shut a bit, he shakes his head as if trying to clear up the cobwebs before looking back up to the taunting joshi star. Narrowing his eyes at the challenge, he lets out a rather loud exhale, almost like a bull snort, before piling forward toward Mika, skates driving him toward MIka again, as if going at her again with a charge....but instead, he flips straight forward instead, trying to drop his heel down on her as he somersaults with the intent of using those heavy skates to make the strike that much harder.

Rainbow Mika 1/------=/=======|=======\====---\1 Brett
This is it. You've got to pull the big moments out of your opponent sometimes. As Brett starts to wind up, Rainbow Mika holds steady, once more steeling herself for the oncoming attack, staring Brett down with a grin on her face. Getting the most exciting moments out to thrill the crowd! That's what it's all about.
And it does get exciting... While Mika clearly intended to just stand there and get Brett right into position for a follow up, what happens is she's completely unable to withstand the force of a teenager built for playing hockey while wearing hockey pads and using rollerblades to speed himself up. She gets knocked down hard and rolls across the ground until she slams into the barricades currently being used as a barrier between fight and crowd and managed to knock them about a foot out of place.
Despite all of that, when Mika gets back up there's simply that same smile on her face. A fair deal of exposed skin shows light signs of road rash, and she's bleeding a bit on her forehead where she took the initial blow, but she looks as if she's completely thrilled with the result. "That's the stuff. Give it everything you've got!"
As if taking her own words, the wrestler surges forward toward her opponent, lunging forward to lock him in place by grabbing him by both shoulders as she throws herself full force into a series of rapidfire headbutts. This certainly seems like it would be a bad idea, especially while already showing forehead damage and fighting an opponent wearing a helmet, but it doesn't seem as if Mika even notices any pain as she draws back to throw one last wind up headbutt. Hopefully Brett's stunned despite the head gear, too stunned to react as Rainbow Mika whips her arm in over his neck from the side, hauls him into a bent over position, and then leaps forward into the air, reclining as she drags him with her in an effort to slam his chin into the ground.

The Falling Star drops, and just as Brett intended, he manages to crash into Mika with his weight, knocking her down and flipping back onto his skates quick enough to take a hockey stop and arrest his momentum. Watching MIka come to a stop against the barricade, he heaves raspily, breath coming in rapid pants as if he truly got himself worked up since that challenge. He seems ready to move in, just as Mika starts to get back up.
Unfortunately, he ends up running straight into Mika's grasp, and before he knows what's happening, he's headbutted straight in the face. The helmet might protect quite a bit, but not enough to keep up against the assault of those headbutts, and dazed as he is, he's a sitting duck for the eventual bulldog that drags him forward and down straight onto his face as well.
He's slow to get up after that slam, but he's still heaving heavily, fists clenched tightly as he finally gets up. Another shuddering exhale comes, like a bull ready to charge. Rather than charge straight at Mika, though, his stick flashes up, a thin glow of ice blue around it as he tries to strike Mika down with it, once. Then again. Then more and more as he continues to try and smash his stick, blade-first, into the wrestler repeatedly, clearly desperate at this point as he tries to overwhelm Mika.

Apparently, after the last one, Mika is a bit more careful about just how she responds to suddenly having Brett surging at her. She tenses up, holding herself steady as a rock as he comes in at her. Both arms begin to move maniacly as he starts swinging at her with the glowing stick, flying every which way as she intercepts the oncoming attacks as she assaulted from all angles. She barely seems to be in control of the situation, and careful observers would note that by the time Brett's done, the sleeves of her wrestling tights have a good number of clean cuts in them.
Those are absolutely going to need to be replaced after this fight... it's a good thing that Mika has backups for just such an occasion. You can't really expect to go through a world tour of fighting without your fighting gear getting beat to hell.
When she lowers her arms back down, her face is a brilliant smile. "That was intense! Incredible!" She clenches her fists at her sides and then raises a hand up, clearly trying to pump the crowd up again as she circles around Brett. "I can feel the pressure, feel the thrill! DO THE REST OF YOU FEEL THE ELECTRICITY IN THIS MATCH?!" She pumps her fists up in the air as she looks around at the audience, who seems more than willing to shout back "YEAH!" at her prompting.
Once she's filled the arena with cheers, she turns back to Brett, still smiling as she locks eyes on him. Most people would feel distracted by the sound of a cheering, chanting crowd, but as it pours over Mika, it seems to flow through her and hone her attention as she watches Brett, waits to see just what he'll do next.

Rainbow Mika 0/-------/-======|>>>>>--\-------\0 Brett
The roaring of the crowd, the electric feeling of the audience getting into a spectacle and causing the entire stage to rumble from their reaction....
Brett doesn't seem to react to any of it. He was always like that, even in a hockey game, the kind of tunnel vision that helps him focus on just the task at hand, cheering or jeering aside, no interference or influence from the outside. The only voices he seems to dial into are his coach's and his teammate's, and none of them are here today. It's just him. While it will never make him the most popular or charismatic fighter, it does keep him from getting too caught up in Mika's rhythm...or at least so he intends.
Instead, he simply pushes in again, trying to swing in and batter at Mika again with a spinning strike of his stick. His entire body spirals out like a top, trying to batter MIka up and down with the stick repeatedly as he spins by.

Rainbow Mika 1/-----==/=======|=======\===----\1 Brett
There are some things in life you probably shouldn't do. One of those includes seeing somebody start spinning around with a hockey stick like some sort of crazy top. That stick sure does give a lot more reach than is really safe to go through. So, it's obvious that this isn't a good idea when Mika does it...
Brett starts spinning and Mika just lunges in, ignoring the hits his stick manages as she lashes out to wrap her arms in around his midsection. The moment she has him in place, she ratchets her arms closed, clenching his back against her chest as she locks him down and halts any more rotation. Strength surges through her as she focuses purely on the moment, absorbing all of the excitement of the crowd as she tenses up.
This is the moment.
As soon as she seems adequately prepared, she launches backwards with all she can manage, whipping into a backward bridge carrying the hockey player with her, slamming the top of his (thankfully) helmetted head into the ground full force, and then letting him bounce away as she pops back up to standing.
You would think that, spinning like he is, stick outward, that Brett would be pretty hard to simply grab. Even if you avoid his stick, the rotational force would make it hard to get a firm grip on before he spun away and made another revolution.
That, unfortunately, doesn't take into account the skill of a wrestler to grab hold of things. Not expecting the grab at all, Brett finds himself latched onto from behind as he starts to rise up, stick still extended. Eyes widening, he finds himself hefted up, spin arrested with a firm grip, and before he realizes what's happening, he's driften down onto his head, slammed forcefully to the ground with a rather ugly sounding slam. The force is enough to cause his helmet to crack, then break completely.
That may be the only thing that keeps his head from being totally cracked open...but from the way he doesn't move, except for his legs to flop back down onto the ground once Mika stands back up, it's clear he's not getting up anytime soon....

When Brett doesn't get up right away, Rainbow Mika moves back and starts to show off for the crowd. There's some flexing and some kisses blown while she waits for the fight officiator to come over and check out her opponent. It's professional wrestling tradition to showboat while your opponent is down, after all... and since she can't win by pinfall in these fights...
Eventually the fight coordinator calls over the medic to check out the knocked out hockey player as she moves over to Mika. "The winner, by knock out... RAINBOW MIKAAAAAAAAA!" And the crowd erupts in cheers as he raises up the wrestler's arm over head. More showboating, of course. While Brett gets checked out, Rainbow Mika does a whole new round of meet and greet with the fans (some of whom are now more interested in getting Mika's autograph than they had been before the fight).
