It's been awhile since the Neo League has been around, but it's finally making its triumphant return to action here. Meaning that fighters from across the globe are scrambling to get themselves entered so they can take part in the league once again. Some are fighting for glory, while some are fighting because they want to spread their name in more ways than one. Such is the case with one Yuri Sakazaki, a practitioner of the Kyokugen Karate style, and proud of it too. Whenever she can, she's trying to spread the word about how great it is, even if that means fighting another person to do so.
As Yuri makes her way to the fighting area set up by the Neo League staff, she's got a big grin on her face as she strides towards the ring, waving to all the people who are watching. Once she makes her way to the ring, she climbs up onto the outer edge, then jumps over the ropes, doing a forward roll into the actual ring area, then grins at everyone again. "Hellooooooooooooo everybody!" Yuri calls out cheerfully. "I'm Yuri Sakazaki, and today, you're gonna see just how cool the Kyokugen style of Karate truly is! In fact, once this fight is over, I'm sure we'd love to see anyone who's interested in trying out down at the dojo. It might be tough, but if you stick with it, you can become a master of one of the coolest styles of karate in the world! Isn't that awesome?" Yuri pumps her fist excitedly with that part, before stepping back to her corner, awaiting her opponent.
Entering from the other side of the impromptu area Hitomi walks, tuning in circles and waving back as fight fans wave at her and there are just a couple calls of her name. The move is festive and bright the people seem to be excited; more so she responds to their enthusiasm with more energetic waving and adding a bounce to her step
briskly climbing the steps to the platform she steps over and passes through the gap between the second and third ropes. After a moment of buzz begging to die down she cups her hands around her mouth and yells out into the assembled crowds after taking a deep breath.
"Huuhhn- Ohaiyo~!"
The crowds smile and wave with renewed vigour as she waves to them a final time and then turns to her opponent. Hands clasped behind her back and grinning like she is enjoying the moment. She basks in the crowd's attention for a moment longer. As it all begins to die down she focuses on her path forward, to the fight at hand. Formally executing a respectful standing bow to Yuri Sakazaki the smiling German girl indicates her readiness to proceed.

At first, Yuri is slightly surprised by the bow, but then she realizes that Hitomi is most likely trying to be formal. Yuri grins and returns the bow to her, not knowing that she's a traditional karate practitioner. Nevertheless, Yuri's always eager to demonstrate her skills to another fighter, whether they're a traditionalist or not. Yuri also likes how cheerful Hitomi is right now, since that really seems to make things a lot more enjoyable in Yuri's opinion.
"Hello!" Yuri says with a big smile to Hitomi. "Let's have a great fight, OK?" She cracks her knuckles, then gets into her unique fighting stance, in that she bounces on her heels while standing ready to fight. All that's left now is for the fight to actually begin!
The perception of the crowds not muted cheering fades away; there was little room for mistake or forgiveness in the ring and everything to prove here. But, in raising her perceptions and watching the other girl she can't help but match smiles and fall back into stance of her own. matching intent and respect if not styles. She had never seen this style before, it should be a fun match.
"Hm! Let's give it everything we've got!"
The area is buzzing , the arena is more solid and real than anywhere else in the world at this moment. Lunging in first Hitomi swings up one leg, fast double taping with the one leg and midline and head height, she starts pulling the leg back and add in a spring to her movement to launch the back heel kick, long hair whipping with the move and heavy duty looking sole aimed right at the other young girl sharing this space.
"Seh-YAH!"

That's some pretty clever footwork Hitomi's got going for her right there. In fact, it's swifter than even Yuri expected to see from someone like Hitomi. Nevertheless, as Hitomi tries to kick at her, Yuri raises her arms to deflect that incoming foot away. It does hurt a bit, but not as bad as it could have if Yuri had been hit with that kick. She shakes her arms out a little as if to get rid of the pain, before looking at Hitomi and giving her... a thumbs up?
"That was really cool!" Yuri says. "I've never seen such technique before! Now let me show you one of mine!" Yuri rolls her arm around a few times as if to mockingly loosen it up, before she rushes at Hitomi, attempting to deliver a swift uppercut.

Hitomi breaks off any attempt at trying to chase her opponent when her kick is handily stopped, still in stance with both hands raised she grins at the unexpected praise but tries not to let it influence her actions; Watch her breathing, maintain focus. Watch carefully.
As Yuri announces the use of one of her techniques Hitomi shifts her focus more onto defending against whatever was coming. Beneath the smiling exterior she was deadly serious, and c strangely happy. She wanted to see this unknown technique. The windup gives her time to prepare so with resolve she redoubles her efforts.
"Hm! Please do."
With the invitation and as Yuri moves she watches carefully, the moment the speeding fist spikes up toward her face she curls her forearm in against Yuris Bicep; her other arm trying to redirect the attack before it pops her in the face. To be safe she still leans away from the blow and turns her head, stopping the strike just short of its mark.
"That's fast!"
But it was also in incredibly tight quarters now, Hitomi switches gears back to offense and grabs at the back of Yuris gi above the shoulder and tries to seize hold strong enough to hold her opponent in pace and pulling her in hunched over, She throws a fast body shot with her free arm and jumps into Yuri ready to bring up a rising knee.

Yuri can do little to stop that body shot from coming at her, so she simply tenses herself up, readying herself for the impact. When she's hit by Hitomi, she doubles over slightly, but when the knee comes at her, Yuri has braced herself to move closer to Hitomi after the impact. It hurts more than it should, but it leaves Yuri positioned for a more precise attack against Hitomi. At least, she's hoping this time that she'll land a better attack than before. Already, Hitomi seems to have a sizable advantage over Yuri, but Yuri's only getting warmed up.
"Let's see how you like this!" Yuri yells, attempting to launch into a rising uppercut similar to the dragon punch, but with a touch of Kyokugen might, as well as Yuri's unique style!

Squinting through the pain and the head rattling impact Hitomi lands on her feet and seems she might totter backward. Setting one foot back she brings her upper body back upright and vertical, stance reformed in a heartbeat though then heavy red mark on her cheek is testament to a hard hit. The metallic taste in her mouth is most likely from a cut on the inside of her cheek, if anything she is grateful for the sudden reminder of just how strong her opponent is, and might even still have more tricks.
A brief headshake and Hitomi comes rushing back in with a daring burst of footwork, moving and lunging for Yuri with one motion, one hand grasping or a hold that will allow her to throw the other girl over her hip and onto her back a few paces away.

Yuri is caught by Hitomi, and finds herself going into the air and then finds herself flat on her back. She winces a little at that, feeling the pain surging through her body. It seems she's underestimated Hitomi quite a bit right now, so she's trying to regain her focus on the fight. Gritting her teeth through the pain, Yuri rolls backwards slightly, then jumps onto her feet again. She looks to Hitomi, and while she seems a bit beaten, she still smiles. "That's another nice trick. Now let me show you one of mine!"
Yuri brings her fists behind her back, focusing her chi into them, and then sends forth a large fireball at Hitomi. If Hitomi never saw a fireball before, she's seeing one now... and it's coming right at her in a rather large way at a fast rate of speed!

Skidding to a halt Hitomi considers the nature of fireballs by confronting this particular demon head on and rushing toward her. How much of it is size and how much of it is the incoming speed with which it approaches, either way she bears down and slams her foot dowb into the floor, sending a vibration coursing through the arena. Taking form in the path and almost right at the moment of impact, she throws her arms up, a cross block.
Her boots squeals backwards and she is driven back despite her best efforts but the pressure relents as the projectile disperses. Hitomi raises her fists and draws her forearm across the underside of her close guard arm, drawing and pulls the other back.
"Osu!"
The yellow motes of light hanging around as the projectile disperse clear to reveal to her the now more distant Yuri and she herself striking pose and making ready to continue to the other half of the audience.
She isn't off-put by such an advanced technique, she's thrilled to meet, and fight someone who knows something like that.

Go on, strike a pose. Yuri can wait. Yuri will wait. She watches Hitomi, thinking she's planning another attack. But instead, she's showing off, leaving Yuri a moment to herself. At first, Yuri thinks that it might be best to go in for the kill. But what if Hitomi's actually planning something? That's a risk Yuri can't afford to take personally. She's done that many times and it's cost her big time in more ways than one. So, Yuri decides to play along with this whole thing.
"I'm still standing, yeah yeah yeah!" Yuri calls out to the crowd, winking and giving a thumbs up. She looks like she's showing off, but one eye is still focused on Hitomi as she takes this time to go along with the act.

Hurling herself forward Hitomi runs with all her being, /and/ with all the traction she can manage straight across the arena towards Yuri; footfalls downed out only by the louder still and building kiai as she does so.

"No one person could miss Hitomi's advance unless they themselves were dead or unable to at least sense the fighting spirit of two highs schoolers in the prime of life! beating said life out of one another.
Hitomi cocks one fist back and stops just before reaching Yuri, letting he legs buckle as she slide in she rolls her shoulder, tilting the angle back and up as and cocks her body so she is facing up at Yuri from a low position, still sliding closer.
She stands right into the massive uppercut, using her legs to throw even more speed and power into the move; as hard and fast as she humanly can deliver.
"YAH!."

Yuri thinks she has it in her to defend against Hitomi's incoming attack. But Yuri's timing is a bit too off. She's hit hard and sent flying up against the ropes. And she's dazed like crazy, almost ready to fall down and pass out at any given moment. And that's what she would do, but the rebound off the ropes has her using this last bit of dashing momentum to try one final trick against Hitomi. She may have lost, but she can still give it one last attack before she goes down for good. Her energy flows through her for one last time, as her chi explodes into her body, letting her run directly at Hitomi.
Forcing out a war cry of sorts, Yuri attempts to land a kick at Hitomi to stun her. If this works, Yuri will leap up and literally plant a flurry of kicks into Hitomi's upper body, before falling down for the count. And she really is out for the count after this.

Teeth gritted tightly together just with the effort Hitomi wills her eyes not to close, surrounded by whipping hair and the flurry of denim slapping against her chest and sides. The impact of her strike against her opponent travels down her arms, her fist numb and teeth would already be on edge if she weren't gritting them but as Yuri recoils against the ropes Hitomi's exhilarations turns to wariness and a scramble to right her posture before something bad-
The kicks lands against a form hastily cobbled together from a burst of adrenaline and a premonition of danger that has the hair on the back of her neck standing up and chills running up her spine.
The haze of adrenaline and breathing hard abates only when Yuri crumples, Hitomi remains in stance not sure if it is over but unmoving. What was that last move?
The referee close his hand over her shoulder and jolts her out of her reverie.
"WINNER - Hi~toooh~mi!"
Hitomi is reluctantly guided away from Yuri's position encouraged to wave to the crowds. She does so and bounces around energetically, she even turns her back to the audience and flexes her arms, squaring and showing the emblem on the back of her denim jacket to the crowd.
it was exhilarating, but there is still one more thing she must do. Hands locked and rigidly held by her sides, facing inwards toward the arena Hitomi bows, toward a valiant opponent; and she maintains it. Some in the crowd cheer harder, others in the crowd call the names of both fighters, but some of them likewise bow or incline their heads.
The sombre and respectful action is broken only as she straightens and then goes right back to smiling and waving a V-sign for the crowd as the cameras start flashing.
