To understand Thunder, one must understand his family. A Niimiipuu native American originating from the Nez Perce reservation, Thunder grew up alongside his younger brother Eagle in friendly rivalry. Both brothers were excellent in sports and spiritually devoted to their heritage. Thunder had been blessed with his weyekin on a harsh vision quest, the crow becoming his spirit guide and his guiding star. Though large and imposing in stature, he was a peaceful man for whom tradition and law must always be respected, solemn and preferring to keep his own company. However, when Thunder's family was torn apart by Ultratech, his parents dying and his brother disappearing under increasingly suspicious circumstances, he allowed anger and rage to blind him. Now on the run from the authorities and falsely branded as a criminal, he takes up twin tomahawks and the martial tradition of true Nez Perce braves to honor his family and lay low the company that has brought them ill. Invigorated by the battle, he will be known to them as more than a man in the end. His true name is Hinmatoom.
