Match of the Millennium

Descended from a long line of martial artists, cheerful young Moe Habana is the inheritor of the Way of the Slicing Fist, a style that has been passed down through her family for centuries. Unbeknownst to her, the Habana family is actually one of the Jyu-Shu Sinpou or "Ten God Treasures", the lesser families who allied with the Kusanagi, Yagami, and Yata clans to seal away Orochi. This makes Moe the inheritor of the Yatsuka no Tsurugi, but because this history has been mostly forgotten amongst the surviving clans, she is free from these ancient obligations and has been able to live a fairly normal and well-adjusted schoolgirl's life -- aside from her rigorous martial arts training. Yet unlike the other remaining members of this lost alliance, Moe wields a strange and unique power; though unable to manifest chi directly, her strikes are imbued with a force that summons cherry blossoms from nothing, a harmless flashy effect that she has learned to enjoy. Little does she know that this display is a harkening back to older times, when this bloodline ability was more than a shadow of its former self.
