Match of the Millennium

Makoto Mizoguchi is a high-school dropout who ran away from his home to join the fighting circuit. Using the techniques his father taught him, he was eventually scouted by the Southtown Syndicate to be their fighting champ. Used as muscle, he was sent out to beat up the Syndicate's rivals. As time passed, however, Mizoguchi got tired of his fighting life, and wanted to leave the gang and go home. The Syndicate would let him free to go after just one more job. Thus, in each tournament he participates in, he tries to escape from the gang, only to get dragged into another hit for them. Mizoguchi is a lazy, layabout person, who only takes fighting seriously. Playful and mostly good-natured, he just wants spend the rest of his days scrapping and sleeping.
