Themesong: Missing... (Staff Roll 3) - Guilty Gear XX OST
The vortex loomed in the world from a rocky terrain. It stood as the very proof of an anomaly that contributes to the world's end. He was told that because he was a paradox on so many different levels, his presence with the vortex could cause adverse effects. However, it would be the only way to make things right.
"... You know, if we do this, you won't exist anymore." It came from the voice of a figure who was in his twenties.
There had been many things running into the mind of the young boy. He stared deep within the abyss. The essence of the world had left the world in ruins. He gazed out towards the darkness and he finally made his decision.
A glance is given towards the spectral image of himself. That figure who he would had eventually grown up to be. However, it seemed like a lost cause.
"... I'll do it. After all, as you said... I need to do something right in my life."
However, as he thought more about it, he could see the images of his life and the present. Mimiru, who was once his short little sister, grew up to be a girl who went on the same path as he did, but eventually made amends. Alma, a man who changed while staving off the guilt in his heart. Hotaru, a girl who he once developed feelings for, turned out to be the person who he eventually confessed to. Rust, just a stranger who he met, turned to be his best friend in this strange world. Jira, a cousin who he never met, became one of the closest people he could depend on. Frei, the mysterious monk who he grew to know, became one of his closest friends as they grew older. Many of his friends rang in his mind: Sakura, Daigo, Acacia...
All of those memories came as a floodgate. Tears started to form in his eyes before he finally fell on his knees, palms pressed hard on the ground as he finally broke out crying. His sobs filled the air. Truth be told, Jiro was scared. He was scared of no longer having a place in the world. He was scared that he would not be able to see his own little sister grow up. He was scared that the people who he grew close with would no longer remember him.
After all, he would no longer exist in their lives.
However, It was the only way. It would be the only way that Jiro could reset time.
Even if it meant ending his own existence. ... Even if it meant he would no longer exist ever...
... Everyone would have their lives back.
As Jiro stared at the vortex before him, he channeled the black flames that consumed him. In that same respect, the Older Jiro manifested the crimson flames through his other hand. Both remained in their tight stance.
"THIS IS OUR BANG!"
Young and Old, Future and Past. ...Their fists collided with the vortex. It twitched and shuddered. The impact caused an explosion that not only enveloped both of the men, but swept across the world.
All memories of Jiro from his time with Gedo, where his adventure started, to the End of Time... everything erased.
An anomaly has ended.
