Description: A temple on Fuji-san. Lava flowing all around. And an old man who's been tasked to test the Kusanagi heir...
The thick smoke from Mount Fuji casts shadows over the thatched roof of the ruined temple. While it may be mid day and the sun should light the place up like the Las Vegas strip, the shadows dance as if to prove otherwise. While the temple itself may have not been used for years, there is signs that it is currently inhabited.
It has been quite some time since there have been visitors to this location, especially since there is a very limited handful who even know of its location. However Kyo Kusanagi has been given turn by turn navigation on exactly where he should go. Like take a left at the tree that smells faintly of hummice, jump over the five rocks that look like cacti, only to swing on the vine at the end. Truly, there's no possible way that Kyo should ever find himself lost or late.
While Kyo may be trying to find his way to this remote location, the temples former tennant lays on the ground snoring loudly, idly scratching his stomach as random animals run around trying to escape the erruption of the mountain near by. Gouken isn't in a hurry, and really, lava isn't all that bad. It can be punched into submission. Everything can be punched into submission.
Kyo is disgusted. Truly disgusted. He's... he's an adult! He doesn't need to listen to his crazy old father anymore! And yet... and yet.
And yet, here he is, trudging to this ancient temple, an extremely sour look on his face. How did he get tricked into this again?!?
"That damn old man," he mutters, clearing some palm leaves out his way and walking into the clearing. And he finds... Gouken.
And lava. He's here. On an -exmploding mountain-. And he's got an old man who is snoring in place. Oh, Kyo can tell that this is one unusual old man, but at the moment, Kyo really isn't in the mood...
As the mountain roars loudly, Gouken snores just as hard. One might have a hard time deciding which one is louder -- Gouken, or the wrath of Mother Nature popping a zit.
Only the young Kusanagi will be able to make that choice.
The rumbling dislodges debris from the already delapitated temple, large chunks of wood and rock raining down upon the one who so casually lays there sleeping. Now he's covered up, the blanket of debris making him far more comfortable. Maybe it was due to the fact he spent two years buried. Maybe it's because he's an eccentric old coot who is old friends with Kyo's father and Takuma.
Maybe it's just because he's the man who beat Ken Masters and Ryu over and over until they were no longer cubs but giant bears who were able to maul the faces of anyone who dare get in their way.
It's really because he's an eccentric old coot.
... the old man, definitely. This is... classic Saishu. "You must be one of dad's old friends," remarks Kyo. It's out loud, but practically to himself, what with the noises of the volcano and the old man.
Kyo raises his voice. "Hey. HEY! WAKE UP!" calls the young Kusanagi, crossing his arms as he stands in the clearing... then looking up and uttering a little curse as he sidesteps some falling, flaming debris.
"Man, I don't need this," grouses the young man. Yet, he makes no attempt to leave. A lingering feeling of respect, maybe, one that even Kyo doesn't want to acknowledge? Or maybe just the paranoid feeling that somehow Saishu's watching this and will do something horrific to punish him if he just walks away from this? Either way, he's still here.
He walks over to the pile of debris, pulls back his right leg... and kicks the debris, expertly. It's not going to hurt Gouken but it'll blow the debris off him.
One more time. "HEY!"
Fear? Respect? Both of those are very valid choices for the young Kusanagi. However, at this moment in time neither of them matter. The world is coming to an end!
Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes... The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrafice, dogs and cats living together... MASS HYSTERIA!
None of that matters either.
As Kyo Kusanagi makes the choice to move closer to the sleeping behemoth and carefully kicks away the debris, Gouken strikes!
A large meaty soot covered hand flies foward, grasping for the Kusanagi leg, seeking to grasp it tightly. If successful, Gouken will rise like the titan he is and deftly fling Kyo Kusanagi into the air. There will be much punishment for awakening him from his nap!

Whoa!! Kyo is not astounded at the speed of this old man, 'cause, well, he knows some badass old men. For sure. But for Gouken to go from 'sleeping' to 'flinging' in a matter of seconds--it's still pretty impressive. Kyo finds himself snagged by his shirtfront, and flung upwards.
Fortunately he was already reacting; in midair, he turns the uncontrolled fall into a controlled fall, landing on his feet--the impact is still there, of course, but largely absorbed by the landing, which sees Kyo landing in a deep crouch.
Physics.
Pushing to his feet, he says, almost casually, "So, hey. You friends with a guy named Saishu?"
Then, smirking, he lunges into action, driving forward from his position with a three-punch combination attack, left hook, right hook, then right elbow smash, each strike enhanced with the trademark Kusanagi flame.@emit

Kyo 0/-------/------=|==-----\-------\0 Gouken
As Kyo lands, Gouken is already on his feet fully watching the young man with casual intrest. So the young man knows how to land. Obviously Saishu failed to mention that. There will have to be a sternly worded letter sent via carrier pigeon about this after all is said in done.
"Saishu.. Saishu. Does he know someone names Takuma?" His hand rises up to idly stroke the beard on his face as he feigns ignorance as to just exactly who he just recently sent flying. "No, I don't think I know a Saishu Kusanagi, who happened to send me a letter saying that I should think about joining him in Thailand for a vacation after I finish getting you motivated to save the world."
As Kyo rushes forward, Gouken moves his left leg back, bracing himself to face the oncoming blows. The mountain crosses his arms, allowing each strike to plow into them. Most people may be hurting after something like that, yet Gouken doesn't look like it phased him all that much.
Moving in a blur of speed, Gouken's right leg flies upwards seeking to not only knock Kyo senseless, but to drag him into a rising flurry of kicks that just don't seem to relent whatsoever.
COMBATSYS: Kyo blocks Gouken's Tatsumaki Gorasen.

The first kick slams into Kyo's guard; he grunts, rocking backwards a half-step, weathering the brief storm of Gouken's spinning kick attack. But the defense of the initial kick leaves him grounded as Gouken rises. Even with his forearms temporarily numbed by the impressive impact of Gouken's kick, Kyo doesn't let the opportunity pass.
using some of the momentum from Gouken's kick, he skips backwards a couple of steps then, as Gouken reaches the peak of his spinning jumping kick storm, takes to the air himself--leaping upwards, and cranking his body around in an unusual manner. At the top of his spin he throws his right leg out and down, intending to kick Gouken back down to the ground, a surprisng amount of power in his relatively-slender body compared to Gouken's.
COMBATSYS: Gouken counters RED Kick from Kyo with Kongoshin.

Kyo 0/-------/--=====|====---\-------\0 Gouken
As Gouken rises into the air, managing to not continue to pummel Kyo with his powerful kicks, it leaves a brief moment of opportunity for Kyo to react and try to take advantage of it!
One thing Gouken will give Kyo is this: The young man has power, and as that flaming leg comes hurtling down to his face, the mighty behemoth merely lets out a loud kiai that sends the young Kusanagi hurtling backards, the sheer force enough to overcome Kyo's powerful attack.
"It's no use! Kyo Kusanagi, I thought you were more of a challenge then this! The world is going to end, and you can't even beat up a simple old man... Back when your father was young, we raided an entire country to beat up simple old men! Then again... They weren't that old, and they did have guns.."
Slam. Kyo hits the ground, hard, tumbling a couple of times across the stone courtyard. With a grunt, he pops back up, shaking himself out. Old men who hit like trucks. Wonderful. "You're no 'simple old man'," Kyo shoots back, growling a little under his breath.
"But you're not beating me just like that!!" Oh god. He's getting into the -stories-. No. Noooo no no no. Kyo dashes forward, young legs pumping, to close with Gouken.
"God, no more -stories-!" shouts the young man. As if to emphasize his point, he throws a punch--a right straight aimed for Gouken's mouth. To be sure, it's a fine punch, well-executed and sharp, but Kyo -is- a bit outclassed here. Even if he doesn't quite know it yet.
COMBATSYS: Kyo successfully hits Gouken with Medium Punch.

Kyo 0/-------/--=====|======-\-------\0 Gouken
Kyo's reckless behaviour and attitude surprise Gouken! Generally, the up and coming powerhouses of the world have their emotions a little more in check. Obviously Saishu has done some serious 'training' with Kyo on that matter. "I'll have to get some tips later on.." The words are mumbled slightly as the giant of a man goes off into his own little world, reminiscing about the days of hanging Ryu and Ken from a tree, leaving them there for hours on end as he chucked bee hives at them.
Those were the -- THWACK!
The elder man's head snaps backwards as Kyo plows that fist right into his face. Moments pass while the gears in Gouken's head start to turn. What's this? Kyo actually managed to fully hit him?
"NOW THAT IS MORE LIKE IT." The monster man's eyes glance downwards at Kyo. The rest of the world no longer exists. All that matters is teaching Kyo how to properly relive the 'stories.'
COMBATSYS: Gouken focuses on his next action.

Kyo 0/-------/--=====|======-\-------\0 Gouken
It's horrifying to think that Kyo might end up like Gouken and Saishu someday, crotchety and telling 'stories'... no! Can't ever let that happen. The punch connects and that's good, but there's a long way to go before Kyo can call this fight over. Gouken's freakin' huge.. jesus. When Gouken fails to attack, Kyo frowns. He... senses a trap. A possibly inescapable trap.
But just because it exists doesn't mean Kyo needs to walk into it needlessly. Gouken wants a break in the action? Then he'l get one. Sort of. Kyo backs off, about five yards... then begins tapping into his inner strength. This takes the form of a fiery aura that rises around him, limning his body in that orange glow; as it builds, it starts to look like an actual fire burning around Kyo's legs and feet.
"C'mon, old man... show me what you've got--!"
COMBATSYS: Kyo burns with the flames of the Kusanagi!

Kyo 1/------</<<<<<<<|======-\-------\0 Gouken
"Ho ho ho. You want me to show you what I've got?" Gouken takes a step forward, his muscles tightening up and flexing, giving the impression that he's actually /growing/ in size. While he's already massive as it is, just the impression that he's getting larger is enough to make most opponents quiver in their fundoshi!
The aged behemoth takes another step, only to rapidly close the distance between himself and Kyo on /one/ foot, sliding around as if he were on a roller skate! Not only is Gouken a giant of a man, he also moves around like a figure skater?! It may be time for Kyo to raise the white flag. Once Gouken is in range, his left arm will fly forward, as if he were trying to swat Kyo away once again, yet if that arm connects, Kyo will go flying as Gouken's right palm will surge forward, moving to strike the young man square in the chest.
COMBATSYS: Gouken successfully hits Kyo with Senkugoshoha.

Kyo 1/--<<<<</<<<<<<<|=======\-------\0 Gouken
Well... he asked for it.
One moment, Kyo is standing there. The next? He's flying backwards until he slams into a stone statue. The sound is... crunchy. It doesn't sound at all good. And when Kyo peels off the statue, he does so slowly, landing on hands and knees.
He coughs, spits up some blood, and... rises back to his feet. Deliberately, he wipes his mouth clean, flicking the blood to the paving stones. He doesn't touch his chest, much as he wants to, as it aches fiercely. Kyo has been accused of being lazy, being arrogant, and he is both those things. But he is also a competitor. That spirit does exist within him.
Wordlessly, Kyo crosses his right hand across his body, towards his left shoulder; that aura bursts around him again, even stronger, covering his body as he suddenly slides forward. As he nears Gouken's position he simply roars "EAT THIS!!!" and waves his right arm forward, unleashing the whole of that aura in a blazing rip of flame that matches the exploding volcano's for intensity.
COMBATSYS: Kyo successfully hits Gouken with Orochinagi+.

Kyo 0/-------/-----==|=======\===----\1 Gouken
Gouken is blasted backwards by the power of the flames, his clothing now burned almost beyond recognition. This is what he woke up for. Sure, he wanted to see how Ken and Ryu were handling themselves, but the fact there are still those besides his own brother that can actually dish out some real damage is what makes fighting all worth it. The aged man slams roughly into the fallen bell, leaving a giant Gouken shaped dent in it. He remains motioneless for a few moments, only to sit up, remaining on the bell.
"So it isn't just your father who can set me on fire! I'm glad to see that you've actually decided to stop playing around, Kyo! Just think of the stories you will tell your children about this day!" Loud booming laughter errupts from Gouken's mouth as he moves towards Kyo once again. Just what in the world is he made of!?
Each step that Gouken takes towards Kyo is audibly heard, as his muscles start to flex once more. His right hand idly rises up to grasp the tip of his beard, neatly putting out the embers of the fire that had taken residence in it due to Kyo's flinging of flames. Once he stands directly infront of the Kusanagi heir, he glances down at him. "I think you're suitably motivated now to go and save the world! I've got a boat to make anyways if I'm going to enjoy the vacation with Saishu and Gen in Thailand." He walks right past Kyo, reaching down to set one of the fallen statues upright. "Kyo, if you do not save the world.."
"I will have to come back to give you another lesson in motivation."
COMBATSYS: Gouken has left the fight here.

Kyo 0/-------/-----==|
Kyo's hands are up. He's -ready-. Damned if he's going to go down like Benimaru in a yaoi cafe in Akihabara to this old man! ... then...
Gouken... Kyo frowns. What? Hey, wait--
As hyped up as Kyo is, he's still unable to do much of anything when Gouken just... leaves. It's just too shocking. All too shocking! That wasn't what Kyo expected at -all-. Gouken is practicaly gone before Kyo can even think about responding.
When he does, it's not... particularly eloquent. "What the /hell/?!? Hey! HEY!!" But it's too late, Gouken's long gone, and as the mountain rumbles, Kyo growls.
"GODDAMN OLD MEN!!!!"
As if answering his shout, the mountain rumbles louder, and the sound of an explosion gets Kyo's attention and he curses as more flaming debris starts to rain down around him. He isn't an old man, he's not down with getting buried in it, so with that curse, he quits the area. The temple will likely be buried... until Gouken comes back to take another nap, maybe.
COMBATSYS: Kyo has ended the fight here.
