Description: South Korean citizens take to the streets as 'Freedom Fighters' to mount a meager resistance against the might of the New Korean Government and its Russian and Chinese allies in the city of Suwon. Will they succeed in showing their displeasure, or will they be crushed underfoot? <This scene takes place on the Ingye Intersection in the midst of the rebellion.>
Suwon, Korea -
Welcome to the Capital of the Gyeonggi-do province of what used to be South Korea, Suwon. This massive urban sprawl partly surrounded by the high stone walls of an ancient fortress is a major tourist attraction, being the last walled-in city around, and a major academic center for the country. This major industrial city is second only to nearby Seoul in its wealth and splendor.
Yesterday: If it weren't for the massive military presence here today... with police and soldiers on every street and tanks placed at strategic locations throughout... it would look like just another ordinary day here in Suwon. The sun is high at twelve o'clock noon, and the whole expanse of the sky is a nearly cloudless azure blue. Theres a light breeze blowing today, offsetting the slightly more than warm temperature of the day.
Why is the military out and about today? Well, what with having had to demolish UN allied forces recently... and with the threat of civil war looming due to the unrest caused by the Northern occupation... they're simply being cautious. Better to be over prepared than less.
...And soon, it will become very apparent the need for these uniformed men and women... as a large body of citizens begins to march its way up National Highway #1 toward City Hall Intersection. They're carrying guns, makeshift weapons, molotov cocktails and some are even wearing body armor. They don't look like they're too happy either...
Today: ...The streets are now alive with the din of gunfire, explosions, glass and concrete shattering, boots striking the ground heavily, planes soaring over head, and the gears of massive war machines churning as they maneuver through the streets. Every attempt was made to quell the 'Freedom Fighter's' rage peacefully yesterday, with the occupying North not wanting to bring down even more international ire upon itself than it already has, but they would have none of it. And so, today, all civilians who were not combatants had been mostly evacuated from the city by occupying forces and NOW... the battle was on. Needless to say, the occupying forces were winning for now... they had the men and the technological power... even if these rebels were proving to be a formidable challenge.
Here, on the Ingye Intersection, behind the towering glass and steel structure of the Backsung Hospital, a small group of soldiers is making its way toward Hyowon Park at the far end. This intersection is nearest the main exit road to the city which leads to nearby (South) Korean Capital of Seoul. It's still quite a ways from here to the park, and so they are not going to be getting there anytime soon. One of the accompanying soldiers sighs, briefly, a mix of exhaustion and stress escaping from him as he looks toward the nearby hospital. It was busy today, the whole front of the hospital entrance was littered with vehicles - especially emergency vehicles - as there were an almost constant influx of wounded and injured. He idly wonders to himself if the reunification of their homeland was worth this much bloodshed...

Resistance. It's almost always to be expected. And that's why Decapre is out and about. Her mission is loosely structured. Help put down the resistance. She's even been 'seconded' to the DPRK. But she doesn't really work -with- them much. That's not how she operates. But there are rumors. Rumors of a ghost-like figure.
Of slashed throats, hearts pierced by three blades... mutilated corpses shredded like so much beef. She is going around the city... finding and killing resistance pockets. Not without injury--men with guns can always get lucky--but never lucky enough. Never lucky enough to save them.
She works alone, and it's only on orders from Shadaloo that she shows up to the Ingye Intersection. Hers is the sole Shadaloo elite presence, but... she might just be enough. But she isn't visible, not yet--she'll show herself when appropriate...

Ever since that incident with Shadaloo during the attack on TransSine Technologies, Julia Chang has been more aware of them and their presence. However, she's not actively hunting for them right now. Her primary goal still remains to be able to find a cure for her native homeland, and she'll go to whatever lengths necessary to do that. No matter where she has to travel or what she has to do, Julia will stop at nothing to find the way to restore her Native American homeland to its former, lush green self.
In a sheer sense of irony, Julia had been travelling to Korea, having learned of an environmental group which also had strong views against the act of deforestation, and were trying to find ways to restore forests themselves. Having been put in touch with them, Julia was able to arrange a flight to Korea to meet with the chairman of the group. Unfortunately, as it often seems to be, her hopes of finding help are dashed once again by the situation at hand. In this case, it's not long after she arrives at her hotel that Julia gets a first-hand view of the carnage that's going on. At first, Julia thinks it's Shadaloo again, until several locals tell her that it's the forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (a.k.a. North Korea) launching a sudden attack. Their motive is obvious, that they want to reunify with the South and will stop at nothing to get them to bow before their totalitarian regime. Julia may be a traveller from out of town, but she's anything but nervous. In fact, she ignores pleas from concerned civilians and law enforcement officials to stay in her hotel as she rushes towards the area where the forces are attacking. She may look like a Native American woman getting nosey, but Julia's here to protect those who can't protect themselves, one of her primary motives in life.
"I never expected to run into trouble like this again," Julia says as she kneels down, clasping her hands to her chest and closing her eyes, "But I must do this. Please, spirits, protect me!" She then stands up and clenches her fists, assuming her standard fighting stance.

With that tip given by the mysterious woman wearing far too little, Howard Rust immediately left for Korea - but given the silence of some friends he fought alongside in the war from there, a part of him thinks that maybe, just maybe, he should've thought to come here to begin with. To check in with Kim and May Lee a bit sooner... it couldn't have been this seemingly simple for the North to start overrunning the South, and now he has a pretty good idea why.
To this end he immediately touches base with a couple freedom fighter sorts (...more like they find him), and the older man is hoping he's remembered to call as many people as he can about the situation, considering... well, everything. He might be an experienced fighter in matters of battlefields, but it's hard for him to follow what most of the Freedom Fighters try to communicate as to their tactics and ideas.
With Ol' Rusty drawn, Howard Rust has already picked up a fresh set of scrapes and bruises from a few earlier scraps (including at least one serious misunderstanding), he peers out the side of a damaged building with a tense grimace as he hopes more have come to help, aware of the influence that has given the North strength to overpower the South but not so much their actual direct presence...
"Didn't... sign up to, to do this full time," he murmurs to himself as he catches wind of a well-built woman also of American origin having breached the lines... an ally, maybe? There's too much confusion in the air to be sure, where he stands.

As Rust comments about doing such things full time, a few seconds later, a female voice from a few feet away, hidden among some of the rubble nearby him, speaks! "If THAT were true, you wouldn't always be up to your waist in trouble!".
Munins small form then raises slightly from her hiding place, smirking mischeviously as she moves to a better vantage point, careful to stay within cover "Got your call. Plan in mind?". She eyes the enemy troops, the gears in her head already turning as she ponders strategy and tactical possibilities.....

The organized group of Korean military men wearing navy blue uniform making their way down Ingye Intersection are, presently, headed to a nearby park to assist allied forces against the resistance gathered there. They had been accompanied by a tank, about an hour or so ago, but some crafty resistance members wielding molotov cocktails and bunch of hidden IEDs fixed that. Now the entire group, including the tanks' remaining living occupants, are stomping down this long stretch of paved road right past the hospital with their rifles drawn.
...When Julia Chang runs out into the middle of the intersection suddenly, the entire group stops almost at once, leveling their rifles at her. They all look at each other for a moment, then look at her again... <"You! Get out of the road! Evacuate!"> a man at the fore shouts in Korean. ... Another nearby asks to the rest immediately afterward, <"Does she speak Korean? Looks like a foreigner... anyone know english?"> ... Another moment or so of discussion passes, and one of the men at the front and off to the right yells in broken english suddenly, "Go! Not safe, go! Not in road! Move!". They're not opening fire yet, but if she doesn't respond positively within the next few moments they just might....
Unfortunately, Julia isn't very fluent in Korean. She only studied the basics and a few extras. Meaning that when she replies, her Korean is just as broken as their English is, sounding literally like, <No worry, I know how fight. Please get back.> Of course, her tourist type attire is only making things less than appealing to her poor skills. She can only hope they understand before she looks at the forces again, and then she remembers reading some news on her laptop during her flight to Korea. About how Korea had reunified by the North retaking the South, and now things were really getting out of hand. Julia had forgotten when she landed, since the people who picked her up were doing so secretly, and she was pretty much going incognito. But now that she's revealed herself, things are a bit different now. "I'm in a bad place at a bad time, but I won't back down. There are those who need my help!"
Julia can only glare daggers at the men who are levelling their rifles at her. "Your weapons don't faze me," She says, even though most likely they don't understand her. "You are the ones making the foolish mistake, and the spirits will help me see to it that you pay!" She continues to stare, holding her stance as a way of saying that she's not afraid and will fight to the end.
COMBATSYS: Julia focuses on her next action.

There's a black-clad specter up on the corner of a nearby building... a masked shade of death. But she doesn't yet make a move. She will only jump in once the festivities start--she'll be quite content if the soldiers can just take care of everyone and everything. But...
Past experiences have shown her that when people show up--people who have strength--that she will have to get involved. Truly, she's somewhat looking forward to it. Killing these 'normals' isn't very taxing, but unlike Balrog, she doesn't find much joy in just killing random people... she prefers a challenge, something to get the blood pumping.
Surprisingly, though, her time alone in Korea--in Metro City as well--has engendered something in her, something surprising. She... misses the other Dolls. These Shadaloo soldiers know their jobs, but they aren't... her equals. The DPRK are just tools and she knows it. It's... lonely here at the top.
The older man turns about-face to the remarks by a very familiar voice, Ol' Rusty pointed at a figure that quickly reveals itself to be Munin.
"D-Don't do that," he scolds with a visible scowl, "this ain't the place to goof 'round," and it's clear given where he puts his left hand on his chest that he might have been close to having a heart attack.
"H-Honestly, havin'... trouble making sense of what the, the guerilla guys are doin'," he continues, "they're just... just people pickin' up arms, not trained soldiers."
He's not a trained soldier either, just run-of-the-mill tough guy as it were... but what of Munin, the mysterious woman of strange shadowy powers herself? Or that woman out there standing in front of the tanks? The horrifying thing about knowing how powerful people like himself are is that he's afraid of taking someone's spunk for granted as a sign that they actually /can/ stand that strong. It's something that nearly cost that girl at the airport her life.
"I've, I've no idea what she's doin--" Howard, for some reason, is suddenly compelled to look upward. It's a shadow almost too subtle, the cloaked figure up on that roof. Munin might see the man suddenly grow silent and squint.
He catches sight of it. Blonde pigtails. Could it really be...?
"Munin," he suddenly turns his head down towards her, shaking out his left arm to work out a real crink as he tries to usher her back to the front, "go, go stand with her," he finishes in a hurried tone of voice. Is he shoving Munin out to go stand in front of an army in absence of himself?
"Cammy," he looks up towards the figure, "I, I don't got time for this shit," according to Quon's parting letter to him, Cammy had amnesia or something of the sort, something he has a hard time believing... is that her? What the hell is she doing up there?
"You get down here," he scowls, pointing downward with his left hand with Ol' Rusty drawn as he stands down well below, "right... now!"
Munin hmphs to herself, but doesn't reply (He just doesn't like that i snuck up on him....). She is by no means trying to 'goof around'. "That may be true, but if they feel they have nothing left to lose, then it's an inevitable reaction. If your falling off a cliff, you may as well flap your arms and hope. Nothing to lose, everything to gain".
She narrows her eyes as she follows his gaze to the figure up top. She isn't able to make out details of the form. She does as Rust asks, however, knowing he can take care of himself. The girl facing down the troops, she isn't so sure. Leaving the combat-hardened handyman, she makes her way silently around, working to flank the troops near Julia, waiting for her to provide the convenient distraction her statement indicates.
...As Julia's broken response in Korean comes, the entire group of soldier's suddenly seem a /lot/ more interested. The group begins to close in on her, even whilst talking amongst themselves, <"She says she's going to fight us?"> <"I don't know, it could have been she's going to fight with us..."> <"She's a rebel, and she's alone! Just shoot her!"> <"I don't know...">
...By the time the group manages to get within fifteen feet or so of her... they've already made their decision. The large, muscular, brown eyed soldier on the right end calls out in broken english again as they approach Julia... "You! On Ground! Now! We shoot you!" It was, of course, meant to come out 'or we shoot you' but it ends up sounding more akin to their asking for her cooperation in being shot. If she doesn't respond fast, however, she will find they /aren't/ going to wait for her to cooperate. They're going to charge right up on her and then all six of them are going to attempt to pound her physically and then throw her down to the concrete. Hard.

The soldiers are armed, they're speaking in a language she doesn't understand, but does that mean Julia's backing down? Nope. In fact, when the soldiers come rushing in, Julia deflects them away with some cleverly executed blocking techniques, giving herself a little breathing room for the moment, but she knows that she can't wait for long. "You are fools to think you can win!" Julia exclaims.
"The spirits guide me, they will help me!" Julia then adds as she turns to the nearest soldier. "You cannot understand what I say, but know that the spirits are punishing you for this!" Julia punctuates the last part with a swift hook towards the nearest enemy.
There's... almost a smirk. Actually, behind the mask, there certainly is. It's a surprisingly bitter expression. To be taken for that traitor, Cammy... and to know, -know-, that it's true, or more true than she would ever admit... Decapre stands, her body silhouetted to Rust's viewpoint... and she certainly -does- look like Cammy, at least in silhouette, with the pigtails and the hat and the gauntlets and boots...
Get down there...? Right. She can do that. She backs up a step--just a step--and then, smoothly, she leaps off the three story building. She descends like a bullet, those pigtails streaming out. Ten feet down, she throws herself into a tight tumble. Ten feet from the ground, she unfolds--and her resemblance to Cammy lessens, as her mask is made evident, the eyeslots glowing red...
...and those gleaming claws evident, as she plunges downward with the sole intent of raking all six of her claws right down Rust's chest, in the same moment that she'd hit the ground with a thunderous slam.

Please tell me Cammy is not here to kick my teeth in after all, is what Rust is thinking behind a stone-faced frown that belies the fear that it is indeed the legendary Shadaloo assassin who decided to throw away whatever ruse she had going for. Given the speed she's coming at him with, there isn't much time to ruminate over the subtle (and, er, less-subtle) differences.
Putting the footwork he's had drilled into him to more immediate, practical use, he steps to the side, but she's coming down too fast to cleanly move aside, left hand suddenly thrust up to meet one of the striking ha-- claws! As the strain of catching a lighting-fast diving doll sends a bit of discomfort down the arm, for a brief moment the ex-shop teacher stops to really consider what it is that almost just had happen to him.
He nearly leaned in such a way that these claws - why is Cammy wearing claws? - came within mere inches of gouging his eyes, a small bead of sweat running down his head (and, somehow, tactfully avoiding touching his brow - not even the concept of humidity or perspiration wants to touch that thing).
Thrusting his right knee forward into where Decapre stands/kneels with intent to knock her back, the man now reconsiders whether or not it was a good idea to send Munin off to help that other lady considering who he thinks it is, clearing his throat as he deigns to speak again.
"The hell're you doin' with that... that mask, I know it's you," he seems pretty sure of that fact.
A pair of glowing violet eyes open from the shadows of a building nearby, watching the soldiers as they move in on Julia with a takedown attempt. This was precisely the moment Munin had been waiting for....
Leaping from her hiding place, she blurs forwards, landing between two soldiers, attempting to flip them both with simultanious wrist grabs, followed by a rapid kick to each ones stomach should they be grounded by the prior move. All this is done without a sound from her. No cry of move name or kiai shout. Fast, clean, effecient, and hopefully unnoticed by the majority just yet.
IF all goes according to plan, that is.....

The groups collective charge is met with expert deflection, blocking, and outright avoidance... causing two of the soldiers to accidentally sucker punch each other. Immediately afterwards, the confused pair of soldiers find themselves seized upon by Munin from out of nowhere. Two others in the group realize this and attempt to tackle her, but only get so far... the well-executed throw causing them to simply be bowled over by their own comrades who then are promptly kicked for good measure. The entire group is left staggering shortly afterwards, angry. One of the soldiers, who is in fact the leader of the group, shouts in Korean from behind her. <"Resistance fighters! Kill them!">. The grunt of breath, forced out of Decapre's mouth, is flattened by the mask, made metallic. She doesn't respond verbally, though--for two reasons. One, because she just took a knee to the chest that made her stumble backwards, and secondly, because she probably didn't intend to. It's probably confusing for Rust. The stance is pure Cammy, the bodytype is pure Cammy. The -hair- is pure Cammy.
But the sense of menace intent is not. The eyeslots glow brighter as she strikes forward, sending her right hand arcing out as she rushes forward, a blood-red haze flaring around the blades as she again tries to cut Rust right across the chest.
But the blades are set to a very careful depth of cut--if she strikes, it will flay skin, muscle, blood vessels--but it won't cut deep enough to reach internal organs...

Julia pulls back after her attack succeeds, taking a couple of deep breaths. "Spirits, please continue to protect me, and these soldiers who know not what they are truly doing." She feels sympathy for these soldiers, apparently believing them to be deluded into the evil ways of the North. "I don't want to fight them, but I have no choice."
After her spiritual conversation is over, Julia then looks to the next nearest soldier. She says nothing this time, instead attempting to grapple with that soldier. If she is successful, Julia will demonstrate a classic Fisherman's Suplex as she bends over backwards while bringing her opponent to the ground with her.
(Two down. Too bad they've spotted me). Without wasting a moment, Munin moves from the downed soldiers to further her attack.
Splitting in two, she rushes at two targets, both 'copies' indistinguishable from one another. One is fake, and vanishes if stuck, or on it's own. The other is the REAL her. Both come in low on their respective targets, attempting to strike at the shoulders of their gun arms in an attempt to dislocate the joint.

It's disconcerting, the physical likeness. The exact same height and build - the stance is a fine point for just about anyone to draw the pre-emptive conclusion that this is her, despite the claws and mask that he has never, ever, ever seen Cammy use prior.
The ferocity in which she draws near is not without at least some semblance of additional unfortunate similarity. Howard's decision that this is her colors his willingness to stand his ground and go toe to toe with someone who he knows to be extremely proficient in close quarters combat that belies her far lighter, smaller build.
His decision to attempt to hop back may be what actually saves him from a deep lunge that might find purchase inside him, mistaking the intent for the familiar forward diving lunge kick.
He winces as the sharp points reach his chest, a short stagger where he nearly trips over a discarded magazine. As the older man draws back, there's a visible small amount of blood on his chest - the middle claw tip, too, has confirmation that it pierced flesh.
If he didn't attempt to move back and out of his way, it's not hard to imagine how much more she could have gotten out of him, but it is difficult to call any part of Rust's actions a remotely successful defense as he regains enough composure from the sting in his chest to step forward, swinging Ol' Rusty in a backhand swing. With those claws, his advantage in reach is much less, but he is visibly attempting to keep at least some space between the two of them. He doesn't have much further room to move back, as it is.
"'s true, isn't it," he mumbles out a half-formed question during his counterstrike.

In the scant few moments they had, the soldiers in navy blue uniform have collected themselves from the ground again and gotten a bit more organized. They immediately attempt to cluster together again, even as the attacks come, hoping the security if their numbers will help them win out.
As Munin suddenly splits in twain, rushing a pair of soldiers for an attack... the first one throws a round house kick for what turns out to be the spectre. The legs sails through the mirage, terminating its existence. The second soldier manages to grapple with the REAL Munin, the stopping the blow from dislocating his joints but taking the lessened strikes to his forearms instead. Both soldiers, now on either side of Munin, swing their rifle butts inward and attempt to strike her in the temples.
As for Julia and the soldier she's attempting to supplex, the initial grapple does in fact connect... but mid-throw he demonstrates a bit of judo training... and escapes from it and goes rolling across the ground only to stand again - ready to fight.
The claws might have hurt. The backhanded pipe? It meets... her mask. The sound is a sharp *tang*, and her head snaps to the side--followed by the rest of her, as she goes sailing. For the first three seconds she's utterly limp; she recovers just in time to flip, landing in a three-point skid, her palm striking sparks from the street as the crossbrace that holds her gauntlets on scrapes metallically against the pavement.
Her head snaps back up.
's true? She doesn't know what he's referring to, what he's thinking. But if she can work this situation to her advantage... she pounces, again--her claws extended, of course. It's a quick one-two strike--slashing down with her left-handed claw, possibly intended solely to break his guard for the second claw, her right hand, slashing horizontally.
He has some connection to Cammy. Lover? Friend? She'll have to review the dossier... she only knows that this is Howard Rust, a man of no small interest to Vega. That interest extends to having him killed...

At first, Julia thinks she's got the upper hand with her opponent, until he manages to break free using that judo-style escape. "Damn," Julia mutters under her breath as she recovers from the suplex and gets back into a standing position again. "At least I got my back limbered up, but still, that could've been better." Her boots scuff the ground slightly as she advances on her target. "That was pretty good, but I'm not done yet." Julia starts to step back a little, although it's more like to survey the area around her briefly.
Then Julia steps forwards again, this time bringing forth a swift jab punch. Fast enough as it is, the forwards force should add a little 'oomph' to the jab.
The smashing blow puts enough distance between the two of them that the older man is not dwelling at all on taking in the fact he just hit Cammy(?) with enough strength to get her away. One of his knees pops as he suddenly walks sideways away from the wall, casting a look over his shoulder very quickly to make sure there's nobody else sneaking up--
This is still a mistake. Cammy(?)'s increased aggression catches the older man off guard, having trained himself to expecting Cammy to weave in and out. A dangerous customer who pokes and prods, making sport of one's offensive before going into the kill. This one... she just comes in like she's out for his blood without seeming thought, and the worst part is that she's coming from his right.
The first strike meets Ol' Rusty. His weaker grip being what it is, she actually manages to knock the pipe clean out of his hand with a loud clatter in front of his feet as he's forced to hastily swing his right arm up to try and catch that second swipe with his right hand.
"Shadaloo, is it them," he wheezes out the question. His only recourse he can think of in the heat of the moment is to try and put his left hand atop her scalp and slam it straight down on top of the dropped pipe, his mistakes and assumptions making him much more hesitant to overcommit to a far heavier blow out where the situation grows increasingly desperate with every passing second.

As the rifle butt from the man before her closes in, Munin moves to dodge it, not realizing the other soldier has closed in on her from behind so quickly. As a result, she ends up moving into the incoming attack from behind, which knocks her BACK into range of strike from in front of her!
Her head spinning, she reacts on pure instinct, closing her eyes and spinning her body, arms extended, a lance of purple-black chi extending from each palm, aimed at the two soldiers necks as she swings in a circle around herself!

Between Julia's jab and Munin whirling chi lance, several of the navy blue clad Korean men are sent to the ground at once. Some of them grievously wounded, bleeding, and broken. Yet despite this, or perhaps because of this, four of them manage to pick themselves up again... if barely.
<"These aren't normal resistance fighters!"> One of them shouts in Korean, as he scrambles to pick up his rifle again. <"I'll call for support...> the leader shouts in response, as a hand goes for his radio... feeling around for it. Then he realizes... as he feels his hand touch the place where it used to be mounted on his uniform. It'd been severed by Munin's chi attack and wouldn't function any longer.
Throwing the severed radio mic to the ground in anger, he lets out a series of expletives and then promptly gives a new order... <"Back off, Grenade!"> ... and then snaps a grenade off from his ammo harness and squeezes the safety release.
...Then, after he lobs his grenade to the ground toward Munin's feet... the entire group scatters in every direction.

There is, again, no answer. Rust's hand finds nothing but air, as Decapre slides backwards, like a ghost, getting just out of the way of the grip. She is tough, and her mask moreso, but no one wants their bells rung. Not even Balrog, as crazy as that bastard is.
And then she does something that might bring that worthy(?) to mind--as she leaps backwards. Fortunately, the solid, outer wall of the building she dived off isn't that far from her, and she leaps back to it--seeming to hang there for a moment, before she uses her legs to push off.
Once again, she dives straight for Rust, both arms extended, in an attempt to just spear right through him--high up, a strike that could, potentially, cause real injury--severing the brachial nerves can cause the loss of the use of an arm...

Having landed her jab, Julia looks and notices the grenade being thrown, then the group scattering. Almost immediately, Julia takes off after the nearest soldier, whether or not it was the one she just attacked being irrelevant. Her boots slap the ground as she picks up speed, letting her adrenaline fuel her as she rushes at the soldier, attempting to grab him by the shoulder.
If successful here, Julia will use the grab to stun her opponent as she spins around to face him, then will deliver an uppercut and follow through with a high-aimed kick.

Munin takes a second to recover her bearings, eyeing the damage she's done. When the man tries to radio for backup or help, or just to report, and can't, she is mentally overjoyed. At least, for the moment, Vega or his tougher cronies won't know about this until AFTER all the fighting is done!
When the grenade comes out, however, she can only think of two words....
(Oh SHIT!)
Thinking quickly, she runs towards the thrower, but with her prior disorientation, she can't go as fast as she would like, or is needed. Luckily, she figures this out about a half-second before the blast and plans for it.
Making sure she's lined up with her target, she leaps at the moment of the blast, letting the shockwave send her towards her target at MUCH higher speed than normal! It hurts like absolute heck, and her back is riddled with shrapnal, but adrenaline helps her ignore this for now as she comes down with a strike aimed squarely at the middle of the mans back.

The great big handful of air that Howard receives is, unsurprisingly, a cause for continued concern as his eyes attempt to track Cammy(?)'s figure as she leaps away. He manages to actually track her with his eyes as he picks Ol' Rusty back up, which is a plus as he takes another couple cursory steps away from the wall she has lept to.
"Not saying, uh, anything, are you," he grumbles out loud. Whether or not he needs further confirmation, it may be something of a small blessing on top of all that. When Cammy started talking she sure wouldn't ever shut up, that's for sure.
The willingness (or ability) of the person before him to be able to talk soon becomes the least of his concerns as she goes straight for him anew, one eye widening as he unsuccessfully leans aside.
To her dive, it feels more like an extremely hard shove than a hard drilling through as the older man spins on one heel awkwardly with the blow, ineffectually swinging his left arm into the colliding claw-equipped killer when she actually isn't on him any more. The sleeve of his gi top tears off.
It's a scrape - less than a full-on runthrough, but a scrape, against a man infamously hardy against such injuries. The same arm with a hand having had suffered injury from back in the invasion...
It's a panic reaction more than anything at this point that he leaps a short ways up and - hoping she's still in leg's reach - swings one leg outward, spinning into a second one that gives him a bit of backward momentum while he utters a foul word that is drowned out by the sound of an explosive a ways away.
...In his moment of rage, and his remaining men's moment of panic, the leader had lobbed the grenade into the area where they were fighting even whilst two of his men remain on the ground. This only truly registers the moment the grenade EXPLODES vilently and hurls Munin toward him like a speeding bullet. The physical strike aimed at his back hits, solidly, sending him sprawling the ground. The fall that follows, and the instant of his head hitting pavement, is all it takes to render him unconscious and unable to fight any longer.
The soldier whom Julia manages to capture by the shoulder, after escaping from the blast, fares no better. The uppercut connecs solidly with the underside of his chin... sending him off of his feet and breaking his jaw. The next hit that comes, that high kick, also connects soundly with his already broken jaw and sends him flying skyward and away. ... He then collapses to the ground in an unconscious heap afterwards several feet away.
The remaining two, seeing their comrades beaten to the ground decide to flee. But not before taking parting shots with their rifles at Munin and Julia in attempt to cover themselves as they escape.
COMBATSYS: DPRK can no longer fight.

Her strike was not as effective as she had expected it to be. That, in and of itself, is enough of a... not a shock, but it causes a touch of consternation, which makes her slow. She throws her arms up at the last second, but that makeshift block is easily busted by the double kicks--and now, her ears are ringing.
Still, she's aware that the army has been defeated... which means that it's time for her to go. She doesn't expect to be able to just, you know, -walk out-... so she doesn't try. She backflips once, landing... and then she rakes outwards with her claws. Being at least ten yards away, this might seem an odd gesture--but red energy flares, large slashes of it--three each, of course, like her claws writ large--create slashes that would lash Rust, to force him back, and the brilliant-dark energy would provide all the distraction she needs...
... to return to the shadows, moving swiftly, exiting the area. She has a report to make.

Julia makes no attempt to back away from the enemy. Even as they open fire, Julia stands strong and assumes a defensive stance. The bullets come at her, and she manages to absorb them with her arms. The bullets end up merely grazing her instead of striking her. Even as they skim her, she shows no response to the pain that goes through her arms. She narrows her eyes as the soldiers run away. "Go, run back to your dictator. Let this be a lesson to you."
After muttering those words to her enemy, Julia kneels down and closes her eyes again. "Thank you, spirits, for your protection. You have protected me in my attempt to protect those who need it again. I ask you, now, spirits, please help those who are wounded. My wounds are trivial compared to theirs." She looks up and opens her eyes again, before turning to survey the general damage. Almost immediately, a tear begins to form in her eye. The destruction here, it's similar to the destruction of her homeland, except these are real people, rather than just ancient spirits.

Pulling herself to her feat, Munin, groans in pain. The injuries in her back and head are starting to break through the adrenaline rush. Luckily, she still has enough of her wits to notice the remaining gunman are pointing their weapons right at her and Julia.
With a quick flip of movement, painfully slow by her perceptions, she slips around the corner of a building, the shots impacting around her harmlessly. She makes no action in the meantime, letting them go. Better to check on Rust and assess her own injuries. Their just a pair of smallfry, after all.
She pulls herself to her feet a few seconds later, and then the pain hits. OH BOY does it hit. Her back feels like it's on fire! with a slow gait she heads back to try to find Rust, and check on the other unknown fighter.

Those ten yards of distance between them does not give the man any sort of peace as he lands with a surprisingly graceful crouch, left hand on his right arm to feel it and make sure she didn't cut too deep (she didn't, but thinking it's Cammy he's not about to take any part of his physical state for granted).
The Kyokugen green belt slash pipe fighter slash unlikely world hero slash would-be slasher victim loudly snorts as he takes in breath as he stares the masked one down. She's been stone silent, he's out of things to ask or say to confirm or deny any of his worst fears about the entire situation out here in a white-hot Korean warzone.
Her backwards movement makes him think that he might be in a position to actually force her on the defensive to his benefit, for once, as he rises up. He removes his hand from the wound, pointing Ol' Rusty forward as he moves ever-so-slowly...
The moment she rakes outward at thin air to the summoning of red energy, the older man's stop is so sudden his knees both pop and lock up in unison, one of them shuddering slightly in pain.
He has never seen Cammy do anything like this (...the same can be said of just about everything else, but especially this)! His mouth goes agape at this technique as the slashes tear into his mind far more than his body, the familiar uncomfortable feeling that comes with being subject to psionic energy manifested for harm.
That dark, uncomfortable, mind-numbing sensation as he takes dramatically slow steps back, groaning loudly as it all ends in putting him to a kneel, losing sight of Cammy(?) in the darkness. When more poignant seconds pass after the fact, he's expecting her to come to him again. The sign of anyone or anything rushing towards him - no sound of footsteps except those increasingly distant, no sound of the claws scraping against anything close by...
Adrenaline compels him to try and shake off the pained sensations as his eyes dart about the space between buildings the two fought in. She's not here. She's gone... and it's a whole lot more silent. Deathly so. The older man decides it's better to come out to the open as if to try and get one last glance at the fleeing young woman with the golden pigtails even as his body starts to fight /him/. The parting shot cut deeper than he thinks, and he shouldn't be moving around so much in a hurry...
But he sure does, threatening to bowl over Munin by accident as he comes out of the alley to a sight that would be reassuring if it were the first thing on his mind of a driven-back army and two still-standing young women.
"D-Did you see her?" Rust asks hurriedly. "Gold pigtails, wearin' a... a mask, where'd she go?"
COMBATSYS: Rust has ended the fight here.
