SNF 2012.04 - SNF: "Fruit Ninjas"

Description: Two familiar faces clash in battle. One is a High school student-- the other is a caped woman with a mask on who was wearing a tuxedo bikini a few weeks prior! Intan proves that Fruit stands are meant for sales, not to be thrown into. Though she submits after rigorous taunting, the masked woman sees no issue in sharing both revelation and wisdom upon the younger woman. (Winner: Intan)

Narrow passageways and LOTS of things to throw, well that can only mean this is going to be a special sort of fight. The kind of fight where if the farmers didn't know they were going to be compensated a lot for what they lose this fight they would likely be really pissed off. Intan observes the scene of the fight, and waits for the Cameras to start rolling. Just in case, she already has her weapons drawn, but really, she hasn't even seen her opponent yet!

Another fine day in America-- side one little thing-- some people sincerely need their tails kicked. Imagine her response when she was told she got to exact a little revenge on the person who couldn't seem to put her knives away a few weeks earlier and cost her the only bikini she'd be willing to wear. A white mask walked slowly with the crowd, keeping her head down. From what she remembered, Intan was also Japanese. Out of nowhere, a top hat, poking its head out from the crowd. She recognized Intan's scent. She knew she was getting closer. Finally, this masked, caped, well dressed woman was standing before Intan.

"...Weapons are a hinderance." mused the mask in Japanese. somewhere else in the world, someone was frantically trying to subtitle it. "...Even the greatest friend becomes your enemy at the will of another. You should put them down and rely on your own strength instead."

"These weapons are not just knives, they are my ancestral weapons, and I'd dishonour my ancestors if I used anything else to fight." Intan answers, surprisingly calmly, as she looks at the masked figure. "I know these blades like nobody else does, if you think that they're a hindrance, you'll have to prove it." And with narrowed eyes, Intan knew she was talking to Fuji. The voice was one she recognized as belonging to Fuji.

As such, when the 'Fight' signal came, Intan struck almost immediately, aiming for Fuji's abdomen before making a backflip and landing on top of a stack of melons. "Because I think you know as well as I do that these blades are a benefit, not a weakness!" She taunts, "So come on and prove me wrong, if you can!"

The dark haired woman's head lifted. Though she was older, Fuji knew quite well that Intan was no person to take lightly. She knew that one of the advantages Intan would have was just the reach alone. The mask had no eye-holes cut out, and also had this weird, anime like wide smile, painted in some kind of reflective paint. Dark hat shifted, and the woman in front of Intan shifted, sidestepping the blade meant for her abdomen, deflecting the blade, which cut minorly in passing.

"How will you know you too will not wind up alone...?" Said the Mask, arm crossing across her own body. The cape came loose from her attire, it being thrown up between the two women. It was a diversion, for the jump kick which came with it, meant to hit Intan square in the chest.

Intan noticed the kick just in time to block it, preventing it from doing /too/ much damage to her, and she smirked. "Tricks like that won't save you, ma'am! And they rely just as much on things that can be taken away as my own attacks." And that much said she grabs the cape, trying to throw it in into Fuji's face before trying to land her own blow. Nasty trick perhaps, but she's just trying to show Fuji that what Fuji said applies /at least/ as much to Fuji as it does to Intan.

Of course, The Mask saw this coming. She knew that a reaction she often encounters is people trying to land their own blow using her cape in the same manner she used it-- side one interesting little detail-- Bartitsu Mask never saw attacks coming. Her and Fuji shared a dark resemblance. They were blind. While the cape did hit her, Bartitsu Mask merely stepped out of the way, alowing the blade to pass without issue. She had a counter in mind, however, in the form of an attempted slap to the back of Intan's head while she tried to push her into a nearby stand! ...Nobody was going to eat those watermelons, anyways.

Intan, however, is not surprised for too long. Rather than allowing the arm to strike her, she dives under it, jumping downwards so she can apply an attack to Fuji's chest. Slashing not with one Kris, but rather with both, a cross-shaped pattern. "I'm sorry if you thought I'd fall for that." Intan offers calmly, "I have more experience than that!" And she backflips to increase the distance again, really the Indonesian European Japanese (It's complicated!) teen seems to be quite amused so far.

Fuji hated knives over all. She felt them to be a cowards weapon above all else, as with anything with a blade. She fought as a means to stop, not as a means to destroy and kill. Sadly, Fuji failed at her attempt to dodge, and was only struck once, having dodged the first blade. The result was but a mere flesh wound-- something that wouldn't even scar, but something that would still bleed. The dark haired woman staggered back, and looked up. "You will sincerely pay for that." Fuji already had a vendetta for her before-- which was why she would not even hold back. She charged in, then, attempting a series of slaps followed by yet another attempt to throw Intan into yet ANOTHER watermelon stand. Seriously. How many people eat watermelons...?

Intan has no issue moving to prevent the worst of those blows, and she most definitely doesn't fall into the watermelons. Unfortunate perhaps for Fuji, but that's how the fight is going so far today. "C'mon. Say something. People are paying for this fight to be entertaining!" Intan instructs Fuji even as she moves to land another strike, it's hard to tell what exactly she's doing with that knife this time, but it probably won't be pretty. Like usual, Intan backflips right after having made the attack, so she can increase the distance.

For whatever reason, the mask was silent. She didn't need to say much because she knew she had to really calculate what to do, especially since Intan would just block or outright parry her attacks. She needed a plan. Well. There wasn't much time for a plan, truth be told. The next blade tried to find its way home, but Fuji shifted, again, blocking the blade with her elbow, but again, Intan would just bound away like an idiot, and it was beginning to piss her off. "You can't even stay and fight fairly." She mused. "The only difference between a crook and a sadist is that one does it for fun." Her mask lifted, she was clutching her wound, but she charged forth, her cape again being removed, and thrown in front of her. Intan may expect a foot, but...

"...CHEEEEEEN.... MUSIC!" ...an uppercut from hell that would make even Ken Masters proud.

This time, Fuji lands a clean hit. Intan is hit right under the chin and launched back slightly, and this just won't do. She gets back up again, and answers. "There's no such thing as a fair fight, only a fight where the participants are too stupid to use tactics." But when she gets called a sadist she gets really angry, "Look, Fuji. You have no clue where I'm coming from, so stop pretending you know everything about me." And with those words spoken, Intan starts to attempt to stab Fuji several times, each blow faster than the one before it, forsaking defense slightly just to increase her offense.

As it stood, Fuji hasn't made any attempt to reveal who she was. In fact, she had never spoken Japanese in front of Intan. How Intan would know it was her, noone would have to know. The woman then said nothing, knowing that that knife would be coming for her. Elbow block. Elbow Block. Elbow block. Fuji seemed to deflect the blows one by one. She was to prove a point here today it would be that she was not to be trifled with. The mask didn't blink. It didn't react to anything Intan said. At the final blow, Fuji's hand had braced Intan's wrist, the very tip had pierced her skin, but it would heal soon. "You let your emotions control you." She mused then. "You are just another person who thinks they're some pretty little snowflake." Her grip on Intan's wrist wasn't malice-- it was preventative. "Snow melts, unfortunately." She had her this close. She would attempt to slap her. Mostly as revenge for actively trying to hurt her. Fuji fought because the Saturday Night Fights needed to happen. Intan could kill someone if she wasn't careful.

Intan stared at Fuji, trying to get out of the way when she noticed the attack, but failing. "If it wasn't for my emotions, I'd have been dead a long time, ago bitch. Being a fridge queen doesn't help anyone, especially not yourself." With fury in her eyes, she moves backwards, making a backflip to increase her distance and take a quick breather. "If you really think that being an emotionless robot is going to make your life better, then you're going to lead a sad, lonely life that isn't worth living."

COMBATSYS: Intan gains composure.

Fuji stood back at that moment. "You're right." The mask admitted, letting the woman step back to get her breather in. "What do you expect to gain when you bring any kind of weapon? You expect a win. What you do not expect is that the person you choose to hurt may die from it. You as I may be a fighter, but if you believe that a weapon is a tool that gives you the power to win, you're horribly mistaken. You win by determination and training, not by extending your reach." She stepped forward, then, for a swift punch. "...I died a long time ago. When I'm done, I'll show you why."

"You know why I fight?" Intan asks with a sudden bite in her voice as she blocks the punch. "I fight to get better at killing those who do not deserve to live. Call me a villain, call me a horrible person if you like. I'm basically both of those, but at least I won't let crime gang bosses push me around to do their dirty work anymore."

There, that's been said now. Intan seems to be furious. "Yes, I enjoy fighting. But I don't fight because I enjoy it. The moment my only cause for fighting is money and the thrill of it, that's the moment I want someone to kill me. Because then I'll have forsaken what I live for." With another quick movement, Intan tries to insert her left Kris into a weak spot of Fuji's, likely a tendon, so that Fuji will have difficulty striking back.

The Masked woman didn't even get out of the way. She let the blade come at her tendon-- it was her left arm. it was at that point in which Fuji and Intan met face to Mask. The Mask grunted then, but still, she accepted the weapon meant for her. The mask tried to hide the pain of it, though the person behind it was visibly hurt, and most likely clammoring to regain herself. Still, The woman in the top hat let the knife hit her. Her arm began to bleed from the wound.

If only I could feel what burns in your heart." she said then. "But death is not a fun place. You shouldn't live to end it, beit yourself or others." The knife still impaled in her, Fuji tried to do something while Intan was right there-- D.D.T. her into that watermelon stand. She had no intention of killing Intan. Nor did she plan on letting her leave with this knife in her arm.

Pulling back her weapon, Intan increased her distance once more, evading once more the attempts to push her into the watermelon stand. "Some people don't deserve to live." Intan counters, "Death is too merciful for them, and they should be glad I don't have the stomach to give them the punishment they really deserve, to show them what it's like to have everything taken away from you. To have your whole life fall apart, with no hope of reparations." And then, Intan strikes, once more. "If I can't win, I can't end their reigns that sow death and despair, and that means what I do is meaningless."

The Dark haired woman again was stabbed, and for whatever reason, decided to accept the blow as it was-- every inch of that blade dug it's way into her skin, and Fuji was left with one horrid and bitter option. She had no intention of fighting further, but Intan was getting carried away. She had to put her out. Not of her misery. Just lay her out and hope she is taken care of through the powers of (*snerk*) American healthcare. The blow narrowly misses her stomach, and another wound begins to bleed. Fuji, as it seemed, was much tougher than one would seem. She had been stabbed repeatedly, and all she wanted to prove was an essential point that people who feel the need to harm are often left hurt the most. She wouldn't say anything then, just attempt another throw, down the alley this time. Damn woman doesn't want to go to the watermelon stand.

Biting through, Intan noticed the reluctance of Fuji. This caused the girl to pause. Even as she stepped away from Fuji she took her into account, narrowing her eyes without attacking. "You don't seem to want to strike me anymore." Intan told her, keeping her weapons low, but not ready to react. "What's your game?" Trying to observe Fuji, spot any tricks or anything that could explain why Fuji is so reluctant...

The dark haired woman in the top hat was, for lack of a better term, a bleeding wreck. She had several gashes and blood spots from blows she's tried to deflect. She put her arms down then, and took her hat off. "I give up." She said to the camera. "I don't want to fight any more." She said it in English." A few moments later, the camera was turned off. Intan was victorious, at least, on camera she was. Quietly, she stepped towards Intan. "A long time ago..." She started, removing her cape. "A long time ago I lost everything that ever meant a damn to me." She sat down before Intan, holding the new, gaping wound. The others had slowed to a bearable pace. "I was meant to die with those I cared about, and this world brought me back." Away from the cameras. Away from people, her hand found her way up to her mask. she lifted it, and it made a clicking noise. Her mask was lifted away from her face. All around her eyes were a variance of scars-- and something more disturbing--

The glazed over response of a pair of dead eyes. "...So tortured is the world I live in that I cannot even see who I fight." her head looked up, staring in Intan's general direction. "So tortured is this world do I feel nothing for your heart or your compassion. be grateful you have either."

COMBATSYS: Fuji has left the fight here.

Intan gulps at this and nods calmly, not that Fuji could see this. "I..." She sighed, "I don't know what happened to you, but for my own misfortune I only have my own gullibility to blame." The teen explains, sitting down to look at Fuji. "Just a few years ago, I was a criminal. A gang leader recruited me to do his dirty work, I stole jewelry, paperwork and other priced possessions. I didn't ask questions, I just did as I was told."

She sighs as she continues, "I did all this because it made me feel like I had a purpose, like I had friends. I was gullible and foolish, and when one day I got caught, everyone I cared about dropped me like I was a burning coal. My family didn't want anything to do with me anymore, considering me a disgrace. My 'boss' pretended he didn't even know me. I came clean, and because I regretted what I did, I got a second chance. But I'll never allow people like /him/ to ruin the lives of people again. Never."

COMBATSYS: Intan has ended the fight here.

The dark haired woman with the glazed eyes looked up towards Intan then, and listened. "I was left to idle my life like a helpless person, Intan." she said. "You did what was needed at the time. Not because you wanted to, but because you were pressured into being someone else's bitch." Her head canted slightly. She put her arm out then, handing Intan her mask. No wonder the eyes had a sheen to it-- they were painted on. There was no eyehole cutouts. "The thing that makes you and I similar, Intan, was that we went to an extent to reform our lives to a point of comfort and acceptance. You are long ahead of me, and I envy you for it. I cannot fight you right now because I don't know your passion, but it makes you that much stronger than I." She leaned against the side of the watermelon stand, and sighed. "You had only a glimpse and a taste of what abandonment feels like-- and it's a world most desolate and lonely than anything you could ever possibly imagine. Even If I were to defeat you I would feel just as empty as I have since the day I should have died and been forgotten."

She remained sitting, but reached into her breast pocket. "If you treat a weapon like a friend it will be only the closest." She drew a knife-- it was one of Intan's. "I pocketed this when you stabbed me earlier." She said, setting it down in front of the teenager. "If you were to throw this blade into the air and stand underneath it, will it hurt you?" she asked. She stood, albeit with the assistance of the stand. She was bleeding lightly now, and was very sore. She'd heal, but she'd know better than to underestimate Intan ever again. "The point of the matter is, Regardless of how you throw it, there is no depicting whether what you wield in this world will not also become your greatest enemy."
