WAR! - WAR! Week 4: China vs USA-East

Description: Metro is under siege once again. This time it looks like Shadaloo has a plan so crafty that no one could stop it. Infiltrating the street life in Metro has created a very terrifying creation and the perfect weapon that cannot even be named in this description! Elias and Aranha are brave enough to face this evil force, but will it be enough!?

The Tiger Division has already made front pages in Metro City. A huge, huge advancing army (one Rolento has not claimed credit for) that came right under their noses - and were repelled by two intrepid fighters, one local, one agent. Even the remaining Mad Gears had grudging respect for those who would protect the delicate ecosystem of scumbags and lowlives. Granted, with Haggar around, they'd never be able to rise to the same level of chaos and disorder they had in years past.
Shadaloo... had a Plan B.
"SAD EARS!" Yells someone who has the proper appearance of being a gang underboss from these parts - someone of Chinese descent who does not speak very good English, among many others dressed the part (many of them looking entirely similar in dress, and especially uncomfortable in the case of a few - their clothing doesn't always match their body sizes) as they storm a subway tunnel. "THIS IS OUR TOWN!"
A specialized military unit sent to assimilate Metro City's culture in secret and, when the time was right (like, right now), emerge as indistinguishable from the garden variety lowlives and tough nuts that Metro City has to deal with day in, day out. Some have really gotten into the act. Others severely regret their decision - who would believe this Mad Gear knockoff, a Chinese knockoff at that?
They are backed up by the Revenge Company, in case things get a little too hot - they've already overtaken a subway car for their purposes, haaving slipped under everyone's noses while the Tiger Division was utterly annihilated. They are in more typical military dress, communicating with the more streetwise 'Sad Ears' unit every so often with their findings.
How much intel can you get just by sitting around in a subway car all day? Apparently, a lot.
"It's time," says the head of the Revenge Company, "go cause problems."
"We don't have Haggar's phone number." Says one of the Sad Ear guys on the other line.
"Forget it. Just do it."
It doesn't take long for the subway to erupt into complete and total chaos. Who can save the day now?!

Since arriving in the US it has been chaotic to say the least. Elias almost actually rather be in Asia fighting in the smaller countries over there helping people out. The problem with that is the fact Metro City is in the US and that is the home of one of his shelters. One that he lost contact with while over in Bangledesh fighting with Mr. Jones while searching for Alice. He does not like the fact he had to give up the search for her for now, but the lives of many more people might be at stake in this case.

His travels led him to a fight in Texas that involved another Metro native in Aranha along with an eccentric luchador and a rather angry little girl. Soon after the threat in the south was taken care of Elias was on the move again. He has finally reached Metro soon after the last wave of invaders were fended off and came to find his shelter still intact. It looks like the military wasn't really interested in storming the slums of Metro thankfully. To be safe the priest has decided to stay in town and make sure another attack is not sprung.

Imagine the weird timing of being in the subway when it comes under attack and is stormed by several troops deciding to spring quite the ambush that sends several people into a panic. One person that is not in a panic is Elias as he just stands there and doesn't move at first. He just lest people run past him in a panic before turning to face in the direction where the commotion is coming from. That old stone face of his just looks ahead and he says nothing for now as he watches.

Aranha is a native of Metro City. Born and raised here, he was around for the Mad Gears drama. He was here for when Rolento brought down his forces on Metro City. And with his sister still living here, the capoeirista has more than a right to worry.

Though Elias and Aranha were together in Texas, they both had reasons to head to Metro. They both headed there independently. When he returned, he found the forces were repelled. He rejoiced but then he looked around. The criminal element had changed and it wasn't quite the way he would've expected it. While Aranha was no longer a criminal, he still had ears on the street and what those ears told him were things he didn't like. For instance that there was a Chinese knock off of Mad Gear. He had to roll his eyes. Hopefully it wasn't lead by a man in a patch work buddhist robes and a mask going by the name of Jian.

When he arrives at the train station from said meeting with one of the people he talks to, he finds that Elias arrived before him while chaos was taking place and he puts on his Oakley Thumps and turns on the music and nods to Elias as he studies the situation.

The stone-faced man is not alone. There's actually a few other individuals - wastrels and scoundrels, arguably - who still chill out on the benches. A few of them are asleep with newspapers on their heads, others are just too absorbed with texting, yet others have just been through this bullshit enough that they stopped giving a damn. They don't seem to really care, one way or the other.
"Hey pal," says one of Aranha's casual acquaintances on one of these benches, "I think there's another gang riot or something going on, you think we should wait for Haggar to come by?"
Another guy actually realizes what's going on. "Father!" He yells to Elias. "Save us! I have sinned and I repent for real! Uh, until they go away, maybe."
"HAW HAW HAW!" IT's not a very convincing evil laugh from one of the bigger, more muscular guys, who for some reason is carrying one of his own gang members over his shoulder because they couldn't find a damsel in distress in time (they were so not going to gun for Jessica, too big a risk according to the Revenge guys). "It's our town now!" Says a very, very heavily accented voice. "Sad Ears! We run wild!"
All of them flash completely inaccurate gang signs. "The two of you ain't got what it takes!"
The subway cars suddenly open up to more professional-looking soldiers, to a small group of maybe four.
"Two? that's too many," sneers a soldier while the Sad Ear guys are getting too into the act, "we're going to have to get you out of the way. Nothing personal, just business," he says as his soldiers stop to carefully watch over the actions of the two of them. "We've got the whole subway system under our control. Once you're gone, we can overtake the surface."
Well, Elias, Aranha? Ready to drop in your quarters and take to the mean subways of Metro City?

In all honesty Elias isn't quite sure what to think of this all. He just casts a spare glance to Aranha and then hears the conversation from those that wished not to flee. He has been to Metro a few times, but he has not experienced the strange happenings that often occur in the city. Most were before his time in establishing the shelter. Even so he knows this is not something to take lightly. He could have chalked it up more to just gangs causing trouble, but the men emerging from the subway cars look much more like military and they draw the attention of Elias.

He looks at them for a few long moments and it looks like he indeed inserts a quarter for this adventure given the fact he steps forward right towards the soldiers that made their presence known. "Hope you can handle the others." he just says to Aranha in passing and he stops not too far away from the four soldiers.

That cold gaze focuses on them for a few moments. "Just arrived? I am sorry but we can't accept new visitors in this town just at the moment." he tells them before he rears back and looks to charge forward and slam his shoulder into one man before bringing a large fist about to punch another one. "Let me help you back on board, gentlemen."

Is Aranha supposed to yell, 'Help?'

If one were to ask Aranha, he would answer no. Not in Aranha's city. He rolls his neck and doesn't just step forward, he dances forward in a rhythmic dance towards the members of Sad Gears. "You know what? As a native of Metro, I'm downright insulted by this by pale imitation of what I had deal with when I was younger."

He doesn't hesitate to move towards the first counterfeit thug with an outside crescent kick to get him to stumble before droppling low to grab his ankle and lifting upwards enough to send him flying at a few more thugs.

"BOOF!" The military man that had so very cordially invited Elias to death is, instead, being launched back into the subway car. It's so forceful that it knocks not only him and some of his escorts into a closed subway door... the second one flung actually sends all of them /through/ the closed subway door, and a fair bit of the doorframe surrounding it. That's painful!
There is one that Elias misses the appearance of, whom smiles wickedly as he moves to rush into Elias and shove him into the car with them as the subway car looks ready to take off again. The idea is to try and separate Elias and Aranha so that both units only have to deal with one fighter each - they've already seen that two fighters took out a huge, huge offensive.
Maybe they can manage one each?
The Sad Ear guys seem to at least show more general competence when Aranha goes to kicking - he flings one guy far enough to knock over another, but is caught by the big guy just a ways back.
"Not fakes!" Claims the biggest one as he proceeds to toss that thrown guy over his (other) shoulder, as he sets the one he'd been carrying for some weird purpose or another down. "We are real! We are danger. Sad Ears!"
For what they lack in accurately emulating a truly terrible bunch of people who contributed to making this place so miserable, they make up for actually being relatively competent fighters - there is the same military precision with their strikes as they move to surround Aranha and strike him down.

It seems the priest does leave himself a bit open. He managed to take down the majority of those that had stepped out of the cart, but he had overlooked one of them during his strike. If they intend to seperate Elias and Aranha it would seem to work. How well will it work in the end remains to be seen. While Elias is pushed onto the moving subway car he lands firmly on both feet on top of the mess he made from where he knocked in the car's door and the men laying on top of it. He steps off them and he raises his fists as he takes on a bit of a traditional boxing stance. The ones on the cart might be more unlucky than those in the subway proper. They can at least flee up to the streets of Aranha proves to be a problem.

The ones in the car? No, they won't have a way to escape for now it would look like. Forward he finds the closest ones to him and he starts to let the fists fly. Powerful strikes with alot of punch behind them and perhaps not the quickest. Still good enough that those not expecting a priest to be an accomplished boxer might be caught by surprised by. "I hope you all prayed today. You never know when you may meet God afterall." Wait, this guy is really a priest and is talking like that? They'll let anyone be one these days it seems.

When Aranha sees their defensive capabilities, he sees why they inspired fear in the criminal element. They were actually more combatively competent if not in actual playing the part of the criminals they seeked to emulate.

They surround the young capoeirista but he seems to fluidly avoid their strikes by bobbing, weaving, and cartwheeling out of the way of their attacks. "Good. I was hoping this wouldn't be a complete cake walk."

His lips curl into an impish grin as he lashes out with a blue glowing roundhouse kick to knock away few of the Ears before leaping at another group with a jumping roundhouse kick likewise engulfed with blue chi, before going right for the big guy with a back flip kick driving his foot down right on the top of his head.

Elias is in a bad situation. While Metro City's subway cars are actually pretty spacious, from front to back he is surrounded by highly trained operatives. He is stuck on a subway car with /them/, outnumbered by a good amount. The bookie ain't taking bets there.
To his credit, those in front of him, he takes care of like they're nothing but wooden dolls despite occasional attempts at proper blocks and sidesteps. His fists are too fast, too furious - but what he may not notice is that there is a man coming up behind him with a piano wi--
Nope, Elias all but elbows him (maybe by accident, maybe he noticed) when pulling back an arm for just one of those many punches, sending the would-be ambusher far back enough that the operative crashes back up against his other fellows. This gives Elias a little bit of breathing room as a couple more drop down from the top escapes of the subway car with sour faces. Rolento actually might like these guys.
"Epic shades man!" Says a man with a pretty sizable beard who is still on the car. Maybe he is or was a hostage, or was so cantankerous that they gave up on trying to remove him forcefully and decided to tolerate his presence for the time being. Metro City people are a tough people.
Aranha is just too good for a bunch of would-be thugs to keep up with. Professional military acting as the part of thugs, but still thugs all the same as they're all knocked aside by blue glowing roundhouse kicks. One of them actually shatters open a phone booth - there's a very rusted katana inside (huh, how did Haggar and company miss that one?).
Unfortunately for Aranha, they've gotten the routine of 'appear again very soon, as if they were the same person getting up over and over again' right down as a couple would-be gang types come in from the flank with raised fists.
"You are fool man!" Says a guy with a really, really bad grasp of English, looking to taunt Aranha as someone from behind tries to tag Aranha hard in the back with a well-placed punch, as others try to come to Aranha's side to hold him down.
He's a better fighter than any single man here through the subway, but can he outfight a whole lot of them at once?

It is soon to a point Elias has himself a bit of a room to work with and even if it was an accident he did manage to take care of the one behind him as well. A glance is spared towards the man commenting on his shades. "Try to stay low to avoid the flames." is all he says in response with that usual monotone voice of his. The priest certainly doesn't look like he is carrying anything flammable, but then again given his battles against Shadaloo prior it is well known there is more to Elias than just punching. It is more something he just relies on now given close quarters and the fact there are people on here that are not out to get him.

He pushes forward past the man sitting on the car and watching the chaos unfold. He isn't sure how many will be left to fight through, but he tries to conserve his strength for now. He doesn't want to wear himself out quickly, but then again he is known for good conditioning. He is something like a terminator the way some people talk about him. He just keeps coming. Forward he moves and when he goes to give another punch he uses it as a feint before he brings up a large foot and kicks at those in his way to try and continue to push forward.

Let's give credit where credit is due. That distraction attempt was a good attempt. The problem wasn't in the guy distraction attempt but the fact that the other thugs were broadcasting tells about the fact that there was someone behind him.

Aranha turns to the side as he pulls the arm of one of the thugs into the way of the punch redirecting it so that it only glanced off of his back. That's about the point when he starts getting grabbed by thugs. He yanks his arms free of their grasp as he drops down into a crouch and kicks outwards so he can kick the thugs to his flank away and then he marches forwards on his hands as delivers snap kick after snap kick to any hapless thugs who happen to be in his way as he moves.

"Huh? Uhh, okay," the man with the beard just kind of shrugs and slumps down a bit lower. There is something of a chokepoint just up ahead where all of the commandos in front of Elias are looking to just block his way. Then they see the mess /behind/ Elias and think maybe to get out of his way - they have a plan B in mind.
Except Elias catches them before they can escape, and one by one, they all fall - well, more like one falls so hard that everyone else behind him falls in a gigantic pile-up. Revenge Squad's boss, a ways ahead, knows full well what this all means, and grimly considers that perhaps they'll just have to blow this thing all the way to Saturn.
"I'm not one for dramatic cliches," the boss guy - a limber man with a mask on says a ways ahead, out of immediate punching reach of Elias, as he flips a switch. The car behind him (the one with the bearded guy) disengages, this is more to try and trap Elias somehow.
"But this little warm-up's been a blast," the man smirks behind his mask as he pulls up and presses another button. There are explosions all around the car - many of them - they rigged this thing to explode, and they hope to take Elias with it!
Meanwhile, Aranha wrests himself free of the grasp of those Sad Ear thugs as he kicks himself to freedom, snap kick after snap kick to strike aside pretty much anyone that comes his way -
Until two of them brave the kick flurry to try and nudge Aranha over the gap and into the tracks of an incoming subway car! A subway car that thankfully is still in the control of a proper driver and immediately hits the breaks to prevent a fatal accident. It's still going to sting like the dickens if it bumps into Aranha - assuming he even gets knocked there to begin with.
If so, well, why wouldn't you stop when it seems the place is just crawling full of crazy-ass thugs?

Elias is moving slow and at a methodic pace. It gives Revenge Company's leader more than enough time to do his nefarious deeds. The man maybe doing something cliche, but the way that Elias has looked near unstoppable it is probably best to try and get rid of him in such a manner. Even if they take care of the priest with this explosion they are going to be undermanned now as they try to complete their orders and finish taking Metro City. The blast goes off and the car turns into a twisted mess of flames and shrapnel that no person should be able to survive.

Maybe Elias really is inhuman because stepping out of that wreckage comes a hand at first. A hand that is on fire for that matter. A hand attached to the large Irishman that emerges looking hardly harmed despite being caught directly in the blast. His hair remains straight his glasses unmoved. His clerical outfit is perhaps abit singed in places and that looks about it. "No escape." he comments as that fire in his hand grows larger. He rears back while making a fist before shoving it forward and releasing the flames that turn into a giant ring that sails towards the car where Revenge Company still resides.

Elias' words seal the deal for them - all of them - as the Revenge Company finds themselves seemingly fleeing from the next car up. They thought they had him - they were wrong.
"Oh, nuts." Says the head of the Revenge Company, who takes off his mask and throws it down in frustration (he actually kind of looks a lot like Rolento, come to take of it, with the scars on the opposite side of his face). "GET OUT THE CAR!"
The flames catch up to the car and, despite his call for sudden action, the car explodes before any of them could get out of there completely intact. Those that just about make it out all find themselves launched into tunnel walls at velocities sufficient enough to cause unconsciousness and... worse.
Well, that takes care of that, doesn't it, Elias? If he looks over his shoulder, he might check out how well Aranha seems to be doing (funny, one would think that the subway cars were going fast enough to make them more distant).
MEANWHILE! Aranha does a maneuver that'd make a certain man of horrible hair proud - some of them, in fact, do end up falling into the gap in Aranha's place, but it's the attentiveness of the car operator that probably saves the lives of those military lowlives that really aren't especially scummy - they're just pretending, aside from the obvious intents to subdue and kill.
The last of the people Aranha can see just up ahead - including women in scanty dress doing acrobatic maneuvers in ballcaps with baseball bats (close enough), really thin men in suspenders too large, and guys armed with rocket launchers all start to swarm around Aranha anew.
"We do!" Says all of them - but it's the guys with the rocket launchers who start shooting Aranha. Unlike the, er, actual Mad Gear guys who have been known to be stupid about walking atop their own explosives once thrown, these guys do a fantastic job of not only stopping themselves from walking into the explosions that follow when they shoot rockets at Aranha, the others actually stay out of the way.
So why are people with such competence, ability, and available arms trying to dumb themselves down to Mad Gear's level, anyway?

That takes care of one problem. The priest watches the car explode and seemingly handle the remnants of the Revenge Company. The hopes for once again overtaking Metro are growing more and more slim with each passing moment. After making sure no one is around to cause trouble he turns about and he starts to stalk back towards where he was originally at to check on Aranha and help him if he needs it. Things are looking very bleak for the Sad Ears and even in the distance a few might see the priest calmly walking back along the tracks.

He is in no rush to get back into the fray. He saw Aranha handle himself quite well when the last fought so there is no need to rush back. Not like it looks like Elias would need a breather. He looks to still be in good shape and it has been seen that he can run when he wishes. Maybe it is all part of the intimidation the way he just seems to be so casual with his movements at times as if being some sort of predator waiting for a good time to strike at the prey. Sad Ears better get Aranha taken care of quick or they better rethink what they are doing because the odds are not looking in their favor.

Aranha's practically stunned when he sees the rocket launchers come out. He lets out resigned sigh as he gives a look similar to one Wile E. Coyote would wear when he sees he's about to be hoist by his own petard.

And then the rockets come in all centered in on Aranha's location. A loud series of explosions can be heard from the tunnel. And fire and smoke obscure his location for a few moments. When the dust and smoke clears there's no longer a jacket, a good portion of his t-shirt is singed and the rest of it torn to shreds. There's burns on the his jeans and he's clutching the remains of his Oakley Thumps in his hands.

You could say that, for a final fight for Metro, Revenge was pretty weak and it's a very good thing so little of the American public got to experience Revenge. (Zing!)
Meanwhile, over with the Sad Ears, they all stop and pause for a moment when they see Aranha momentarily lament for his situation - 200 dollar shades, music lost forever... they all exchange glances and start to back away.
Before long, they're all running past Elias further down the subway tunnel. It's probably a good idea to give chase - there are a lot of lights and voices coming from over that-a-way.
Failing that, a massive woman in a neon green cheetah-pattern tank top with wild hair just comes rocketing out from behind Aranha, looking to carry him (and moments later, Elias) to the end of this tunnel, to an underground fighting ring. The same one Haggar shut down (that they keep finding ways to bring back up), to some man in a walker with a bib (the same kind of bib you see infants wear, for some reason). A very strong-looking man using a walker many old people have to use to get anywhere. In a fighting ring, who regards both of the fighters whenever they come this way with a hard stare.
"I am Gerber," he says, "I lead the Sad Ears. You have been a thorn in our side for as long as we have run this subway." He lamets. "For the last few hours or so." He frowns. He is just one man with a walker - how dangerous can he be, as he walks at a pace that does not appear threatening, and yet...

COMBATSYS: Elias endures Sad Ears' Strong Throw.

                                  |=======\===----\1            Elias

It seems like Elias doesn't have to make his way fully back to where Aranha is. He soon finds himself actually being rust past by several men he could only assume are part of that Sad Ears group that was causing some problems along with the Revenge Company. He lets them pass since it seems like they were fleeing and he soon sees that massive woman coming his way. She moves slow and in all honesty even a man like Elias could probably get out of her way. Instead he just stops where he is walking and soon ends up being picked up and taken for the ride. He just kinda remains as if he was standing with hands clasped behind his back as he is carried away on an adventure.

He isn't even sure if he is thrown or not the way things are going. Sometimes Metro logic is often hard to figure out, but even so Elias soon finds himself standing in that ring staring down the rather odd individual that claims to be the leader of the Sad Ears. If he is impressed he certainly doesn't show it. Then again if he showed any sort of emotion that might be frightening. "The leader." he confirms and gives a nod as he unclasps his hands. He says nothing more and instead just dashes forward with a large hand extended. The man doesn't even get a nice evil speech? For shame, Elias.

Instead he looks to just grab Gerber by the face as his hand ignites with flames. A non burning flame at that, though it does seem to just want to make the man feel rather drowsy as Elias shows his strength by lifting the man up momentarily and then tossing him in a turnbuckle. That is if this Gerber doesn't prove to be rather agile despite his appearance. "Then have a rest while we wait for the authorities."

COMBATSYS: Aranha blocks Sad Ears' Strong Throw.

Aranha for his part is dragged by the woman kicking but not screaming. He gets taken there but dammit he's not going to make it easy on the woman. Eventually he's brought before Gerber. He ends up shaking his head in disbelief at how the guy is not only in a walker he's wearing a bib. Stuff has taken a turn for the redicu... No it's well past that point. The capoeirista has no words for this.

If Aranha had any misgivings about hitting a man using a walker, they disappear when he reveals himself to be the leader of the 'gang.' By doing so he admits to putting these weapons used to terrorize the citizens, blow up his shades, and most importantly, endanger his sister into the hands of these faux thugs.

Aranha glows blue as he charges in, giving Gerber a slap to the face quickly followed up with an inside crescent kick to the face followed up by an outside crescent kick to the face from the other leg before turning away. He then repeats that slap, inside crescent, outside crescent, turn away, sequence three more times before swinging a chi enhanced bitch slap from hell across his face and then knocking him away with a spinning back heel kick.

COMBATSYS: Elias successfully hits Sad Ears with Maximum Delirium.

The late leader of Mad Gear, Belger, used a very similar trick to what this man is doing - if it's even really a trick. Maybe it is sincere, and that for some reason the Chinese Mad Gear impersonators got a minor detail wrong and may have in fact actually had a man of disability run a... er... fearsome... gang?
Elias grabs his face underneath those burning flames surrounding his hand, lifting him up off the ground to which point he seems limp. The crowds in the background boo this immediately - but what the hell are they expecting for a man with a walker just coming into the ring, anyway? Unless they aren't actually completely in on the joke. (There has to be, yes?)
As the man is tossed away into the turnbuckle with a clumsy grasp on his walker, Aranha smacks away at him. Gerber ineffectually raises his walker to defend against the wrath of a man who does not find this particularly eccentric infiltration of Metro City's underworld criminal society very funny - for any and every strike he does seem to manage to put a walker in front of is one where a strike manages to knock off pieces (often into his face), up until the whole thing is wrecked beyond repair...
Beyond two long thin poles of metal, which is a really unimportant detail considering how often this man gets rocked to one side and another by a combination that seems to repeat itself, up until Aranha finishes with the massive bitchslap and a spinning back heel kick that sends him careening away from the ropes and instead into a turnbuckle that buckles so hard under the impact that it just breaks off entirely.
As Gerber lays sitting, the two metal poles he's holding onto as the remaining bits and pieces of his walker slide away to reveal... swords. Twin swords, of amazing and intricate design from China proper. Fancy, but nowhere near ornamental - inexplicably, it seems the light itself that shines down from flickering fluorescent lighting is cut in twain in trying to illuminate the edges - they confused Belger's archaic weapon choice for Katana's, but this man's holding the real deal. Two real deals.
To this, a bloodied, bruised Gerber rises with a pained laugh - unsteady on his feet but not yet quite ready to be screaming to his end, blood flowing freely from his mouth as he looks onto the two would-be heroes with a wicked grimace (he's missing teeth now, too).
"Not so easy, is it?" He wheezes. "Soon, it will be our town! You won't get to beg in it!" He poses dramatically with said swords - one high, one low, both horizontally as he sucks in one last breath before rushing at them with a speed previously unseen by any Chinese operatives, streaks of light shining in the wake of every slight movement of a blade - especially as he moves with incredible speed and strength despite the overwhelmingly heavy feeling of Elias' power weighing on his body. If Elias didn't do that... it's frightening to imagine just how crazy this guy might be moving.
It's impossible to keep count of every swipe of these blades as he comes within reach of either Aranha or Elias, whirling, slicing, dicing, and otherwise doing things that might even make Frei's mother go agape.
Though the flurry may be some of the nastiest swordplay either man has seen, they did not come this far just to be ganked by some Chinese counterfeit Mad Gear wannabes - this man needs himself a real welcome to the hard, dangerous streets of Metro City.

COMBATSYS: Sad Ears can no longer fight.

It is rather brutal what ends up happening to Gerber. Elias was rather mellow compared to what Aranha ends up unleashing onto the wannabe gang leader. Elias just sort of steps back and lets the Metro citizen go to town. This is his town to save afterall. Elias ended up just coming along for the ride in this case. If anything his shelter should be safe at least for the time being. He isn't sure just how many other forces of Shadaloo are around at this moment of course. He can only hope they are a bit disorganized just like this gang has been. It is a bit embarassing having to deal with them, but at least they are mostly harmless.

Or maybe not. Gerber looks beaten and ready to topple over, but he manages to find the strength to stand up and actually start moving about. Just how fast he is moving remains to be seen, but the shaded eyes of Elias seem focused on the movements as the priest carefully steps this way and that. The worst that seems to happen in his case is his hair and clothing are ruffled from the movements of the wannabe gang leader rushing about him. "Are you quite done?" he finally asks as he comes to a stop and just stands in the middle of the ring with his hands behind his back once more.

COMBATSYS: Elias takes no action.

COMBATSYS: Aranha interrupts All-Out Assault from Sad Ears with Dead Man's Hand.

Aranha for all of his speed and agility, does not move from his location when those slashes start coming. Because while he is known for those things, it's important to remember the capoeirista is tough. With a toughness born out of enduring things he should've never had to endure be it an abusive home, or more than a few battlezones, or wild Metro City brawls.

He bobs and weaves out of the way of them. He remains calm. As vicious as Gerber is, he isn't Ayame or Elle Belmounte. And while they weren't sword specialists they were both vicious weapon masters in their rights. This wasn't the skill of someone like Carlos, or tactical/strategic ability of Rolento(not that Aranha has fought him personally). He can handle this.

And then those attacks seem to wind down with the last of them seeming to be pretty brutal Aranha steps in showing his toughness as he brings across yet another armor piercing, chi enhanced bitch slap from hell right across Gerber's face before spinning around and delivering a side kick right to his throat.

"Will you just sit the fuck down and shut your god damn mouth!" There's a momentary pause before he turns to Elias. "Sorry, father." A bit of a sheepish look appears on his face. Though Aranha is tough, stepping into that last sword strike was not without cost. He's bleeding profusely and wind was knocked out of him.

The bitch slap from hell is so solid that some might believe, for a moment, that those who are spectating swear that the entire arena shuddered under the power of a young man who has had entirely enough of this bullshit (sorry, father) - to say nothing of the side kick that is thrust into Gerber's throat that it is something of a a small wonder that Aranha does not kick this man's head clean off his neck.
Or that - somehow - Gerber is capable of screaming ever-dramatically and loudly as he is cast a good distance into the air. Glass shatters as he hits some hanging lights, sparks showering the area just outside of the illegal fighting ring as power flickers all about the area violently.
Gerber hits the cold, hard, uncaring Metro City subway floor with a bounce or two. Nobody moves to assist him. Nobody moves to pick him up or even come close to him, as though even the rest of the Sad Ears "gang" have decided enough is enough.
This is also because he is still screaming like a lunatic even after he's hit the floor for a good six seconds or so longer before he finally does shut his trap - it's like he's falling from a fifty floor building in his own mind.
With the man who was possibly behind every awful thing that happened in the last few weeks of Metro City's strife completely defeated...

ROUND CLEAR

But there's a decided lack of distressed damsel for Elias or Aranha to embrace and have a touching reunion with after a long, hard fight, which is too bad.
Instead, they get that guy with the beard who was riding inside the train the Revenge Company (who may or may not have been better than the unseen Streetwise Company) and the aforementioned casual acquaintance of Aranha, who have both decided to invite themselves into the ring.
"Hey, cool stuff," says the casual acquaintance as he holds out two cans of some very cheap local soda that's probably been in the subway vending machine for like six months. "You guys earned this."
"Shoulda smashed an amber lamp on that jackass," mutters the bearded guy.
And so, Metro City was saved.
