Description: The world has certainly gone to hell as the war has spread to a global level at this point. Vega is making his biggest push yet and it remains to be seen how well everyone else can push back. With so many people in need of help Kim has no choice to trust his students to protect South Korea from their Northern neighbors. He sets out helping out who he can and introduce Vega's forces to some more Kaphwan style justice.
Vietnam has fallen.
Most of the Chinese and Shadaloo forces are being pushed relentlessly into the attack. It is the below-strength squads that are left behind, amalgamated together in order to make up the numbers. The wounded are tended, and the populace suppressed under the jack-booted heel of Evil.
Doom Company is one such group. Pulled together from the remnants of the Vietnam assault force, they are digging into the borders now. Sandbags and temporary wire fencing has been erected to make a checkpoint, and the group are manning it with machineguns, though really, nobody is coming here. You'd have to be mad to try; these are the dark first days. When the people thought to be trouble will be rooted out and disposed of. Most civilians are determined to stay indoors and not draw attention to themselves.
The war has taken some strange turns, but it seems finally some countries are realizing just how bad things are and are starting to fight back. Even so this war is far from over. Too many countries have been taken and others are close to being pushed to the brink as well. One of those countries that had almost fallen was South Korea. Somehow they had weathered the storm of Shadaloo only to find out North Korea thinks they are weakened and an easy target. A war being started in the middle of a war! HOW FUN!
Enter Kim Kaphwan. The legendary TKD fighter is actually not in South Korea at this time. Even if he worries about his homeland he feels he can leave the students he trained along with Chang and Choi to defend the homeland and keep it safe from their surley neighbors in the north. There are so many people in need of aid Kim h imself couldn't just ignore it. He can only hope he was right in his decisions and no one gets hurt.
But where would he show up? So many places he could be. Does he help a nation that has not fallen? Does he go on the attack on China itself!? Thankfully he isn't crazy enough to do the latter at the moment. Not without help. Instead he has decided to try and help those that have fallen to the combined Shadaloo and Chinese forces. Today Vietnam has Justice on their side.
There is the sound of a pin from the distance and a flash. Maybe some of Doom Company would see it off in the distance. What was it and why is it getting closer and louder every few moments? There is a faint growing cry after the last ping and before too long a figure comes running forward, a giant smile on his face and seemingly with no backup. How crazy is this guy? "Today you shall meet defeat by the hands of JUSTICE!" Kim cries as he draws nearer.

Doom Company are more confused than intimidated. There's a good two dozen of them, and just one of these maniacs. "Hey." Says one of them, a slender young woman with bright pink hair and an eyepatch, marking her instantly as one of the leaders of the group. "That's Kim Kaphwan. One of the tae kwon freaks." She snaps her fingers.
There's some agitated murmuring as people realize exactly who it is who has run up out of nowhere to declare himself their enemy.
"Shoot him!"
The command given, a half dozen machineguns round on the master of Tae Kwon Do. Kim definitely knows how to make a dramatic entrance, but he's outnumbered by a lot! Who knows if he'll be able to punch through to liberate the beleagured citizenry of Vietnam?
He certainly wouldn't be the first fighter to fall prey to Shadaloo's military assets.

It remains to be seen if he will join the fallen fighters today or not. Unlike when battling in South Korean his gi is still pristine white. Not even dirt seems to have gotten on it just yet. He still looks to have bandages around parts of him where bones are still not fully mended. He shouldn't be in the heat of battle, but right now he can deal with the pain he still feels and fight the good fight. Justice can't stay in bed and recover at a time like this.
He seems to have gotten most of his speed back. The fact is he is running right into the bullets coming his way and they can't seem to hit him. A simple duck or swerve seems to keep him from getting hit at all as he finally reaches in close. Leaping high into the air he starts to come down towards the closest members of the unit that had been firing at him and he just grins. "You can have all the bullets you want! I will stick with this!" he says and quickly aims to snap out with a quick two kick combo at the nearest enemy. "Today is not a good day to be a friend of Shadaloo!"

The soldier in question manages to bring his shield up in the nick of time. The heavy riot material shudders under the impact of the blow, and the would-be warrior still stumbles back some steps, but he's decidedly still in the fight.
The pink-haired woman shouts orders into her collar.
"Bring out the big guns, alpha team, I want you on him, pin him down where he is, if he moves I'll have your head! Beta team, prepare to relieve alpha team..."
The four members, apparently of Alpha Team, scurry to obey the demands of their brightly-colored leader. It seems they have had some basic training, and rather than rush in to be kicked and smashed, one comes in from the front, aiming to smash his rifle butt into Kim's jaw, whilst two more come from behind and try to simply drag him into the ground. The fourth covers them, waiting to respond if (or when) this plan backfires.

The kick is delivered with power, but the trained soldier has the wits to defend himself properly to feel the full effects of it. Now comes the tricky part in this whole mess. Did Kim get in over his head? Two dozen trained soldiers against one very well trained TKD fighter. They attempt to take advantage of the numbers game quickly and they come right for the Korean to overwhelm him and take him to the ground.
It doesn't work as intended and the butt of the rifle meets a arm that deflects it from hitting Kim in the face. The two trying to drag him down aren't too successful because even if he looks a bit beat up still he is alot stronger than they might have expected. As for the fellow that went for the face? He is soon grabbed by the shoulders and Kim tries to get him off his feet and toss him right at the fourth member that was waiting in case things went wrong. Given he might soon be seeing a fellow soldier flying at him it might be a good time to consider this as things going wrong.

The unfortunate soldiers find themselves being taken to pieces.
The poor murderous soldier (not a series of words often put together next to each other) is sent hurtling through the air, where he smashes painfully into his colleague. The pair are rendered blissfully unconscious, and that accounts for half of the first wave. The second are still trying to sort out the heavy weaponry that the commander had demanded, which means she might actually have to buy them time herself.
She clears her throat, "Mr. Kaphwan!" She shouts, "I'd just like to say, I am a huge fan of yours!"
Hopefully, this gets Kim looking in her direction. Even if it doesn't, though, she still pitches something about the size of a baseball at him. "Please sign this for me!"
Given the fact it is a solid black metal orb, Kim might just have reservations about signing it for the woman. After all, a normal pen won't show up!
And a normal piece of memorabilia won't detonate in an earth-shaking explosion upon impact, for that matter!

Well that is two down, but many more to go. He has alot of work to do, but he is off to a good start. And while he is an exciteable individual he isn't terribly gullible. Sadly if this wasn't a enemy soldier saying this he may have fell for it. In this case anyone on the side of Vega is not to be trusted! He can't even trust Chun-Li at the moment so how can he trust this pink haired woman throwing something at him?
It is a good thing he leans to the side to avoid the tossed item. It might not hit him, but it doesn't land far behind him. The result is an explosion that lifts Kim off his feet from the force of the blast. The momentum isn't throwing him forward in a way the enemy might not like is the problem. He....he is riding the force of the blast to propel himself forward towards the group that is setting up the heavy artillery. Twisting about in the air he comes sailing down while lifting a leg up high and swinging downwards on one poor soul that was trying to get the big guns up and running. "Huuu-aaaaah! No time for autographs! Time for liberation!"

The explosives team set off a rocket as the Tae Kwon Do master comes storming in. It detonates right in front of Kim... but it doesn't seem to faze him much. Perhaps there's just been too many explosives thrown around now for this to be a viable distraction. Instead, he carries on, and when his foot smashes one unfortunate soul directly into the heavy equipment, the whole team scatters.
This leaves the commander sweating. If she is captured, she'll be put on trial and probably killed for what she's done. That's assuming that Vega fails, if he succeeds, she'll be killed *really slowly* for failing. Therefore, failing simply is not an option.
"Calling all squads, converge on my signal, we have a code red situation, I repeat, code red!"
Given what Kim has dealt with through the battling in South Korea a rocket being aimed his way is nothing in comparison to the fact he was taking out fighter jets and tanks with his kicks and punches. Or maybe he is just going all out to where he can't allow himself to sweat over the fact he almost got blown up point blank by the device. Too many people are counting on him and the forces of Vietnam are doing their best elsewhere to push the enemy out of their country and take it back fully.
There is that grin flashed towards the leader of the group as he turns to her. "Are you ready to give up?" he asks and rests his hands on his hips as he gives a bit of a heroic pose that would make May Lee proud. "Justice can be forgiving! I bet Vega will not be!" It probably isn't helping him to reiterate that. In the end it just might make the soldiers fight that much harder now realizing what failure means. Kim raises a foot and he looks around, that grin widening as he slams it down hard on the ground, the force kicking up the wind and creating a concussive blast that might actually knock people on the ass if they aren't prepared for it. "If you feel you can beat me then come at me!"

The rest of the soldiers converge on the fight zone. Kim has successfully knocked down the soldiers who got too close, and even the apparent leader needs to steady herself against a jeep, trying to hold herself standing. When the tremor has passed, she nods her head, almost imperceptibly, to her men, getting them to take up position and get ready for what comes next...
"I want assurances that none of my men, or me, will be harmed." She says, firmly. Meeting Kim's eye, the young woman is a stern and commanding figure. Perhaps a noble soldier would settle for just the safety of her command... but she's no fool, and she doubts she can pull off 'noble soldier'.
"Promise me that, and perhaps we can come to some arrangement." Of course, by the way the various soldiers are readying weapons, it seems unlikely that this is a sincere offer. They aren't suicidal!

It was at least worth trying to get them to surrender. It seems most of the soldiers that Kim had come across aren't very willing. It just goes how well fear can rule over the hearts of men and women. Not even Justice can seem to make them realize the error of their ways. In the end they are maybe lucky for the fact Kim at least is not so harsh in dispensing punishment. Of course that could be bad for them because it means they will be at the mercy of either the Vietnam government or Vega himself. Both aren't very promising. Such is war!
He does let the woman speak, but his gaze shifts around to the people readying their weapons. It looks like they are about to go all out. "I cannot promise anything. I am not from this nation and they would be the ones handling you if you surrender." he tells her then he takes a deep breath. "And I guess they will be dealing with you after I defeat you all! I see we cannot come to an agreement!" he shouts and launches himself at the woman while looking to kick her right in the face.

Harriet Slaughter's life flashes before her eyes in the moments that Kim is running at her. Up until now, this war has been easy - even fun! She's killed helpless civilians, butchered captured soldiers, plundered to her black heart's content. But suddenly, she is facing a man who might as well be called comeuppance.
In an instant, her knife is in her hand. The sharp blade is turned to the side, and braced against the impact which sends her skidding backwards.
"You are a *fool*, Kaphwan!" She hisses.
"If I could go back... I would do it all again! Only HARDER, and LONGER. I revel in it! NOW DOOM COMPANY! DESTROY HIM!"
She herself draws another of those explosive orbs, throwing it right at Kim. But this time, at the insistance of their commanding officer, every soldier that has a weapon unloads it in an instant. The air is filled with lead and explosions, and time seems to slow down, until there's the roaring of an engine and a loud.
*HOOOOOOOOONK!*
The jeep that the team had used to get here is brought hurtling through the crater where Kim had been standing; if he's still there, that is sure to hurt!

Oh Kim is a big fool more often than not. It is probably his biggest downfall that he believes too much in second changes....and third chances...and...well you get the idea. It is probably what will be the death of him. Even so he is tough and gives it his all no matter what. He can be serious and usually when he is that is when he is at his most dangerous. Chun-Li learned that lesson the hard way. Just like it seems that Doom Company is learning.
Even as all hell is unleashed on him It is hard to see what the TKD master is doing. Did he get out of the way? Is he being torn apart by the hail of hot lead followed by a transport of all things that goes flying into the mix. There is plenty of smoke and dust that needs to settle before anyone could possibly figure out what happened to Kim. Or he could just break the suspense now!
There is the sound of metal being torn up as he bursts upwards and out of the crater that formed from the explosion. His gi has been torn up pretty well and in fact the top itself is pretty much gone now and his body for the most part seems to have mostly been knicked by several bullets but none seemed to hit him cleanly. "Nice try, but not good enough!" What kind of monster is he!? As he comes downwards he flips about and he aims to land right on a group of enemies as he lands in a split before popping back up to his feet. "Hah!"

Truth be told, Doom Company are starting to run out of options. The commander can see only one way to get out of this. "Hold your ground." She orders the men that Kim smashes into. "HOLD YOUR GROUND."
He comes down hard and shatters the back of that unit, his popping kick scattering soldiers like leaves, but it has bought her the few seconds she needed to pick up a discarded RPG. She's gritting her teeth. It will probably all come down to these next few seconds... if she can hit Kim dead on, maybe she can force him to retreat. Otherwise, he's sure to destroy her men, and without backup, there's no way that she can get out of this.

And with that, she launches the projectile, sending it streaking towards the Tae Kwon Do master. There's no way her poor troops can even begin to get out of the way in time!

It is a time where Kim is acting on instinct more than anything. If he actually had more time to think about it the better part of him would have probably tried to stop the rocket to save the other soldiers even if they are his enemy. Instead he more hears the rocket whistling near and he jumps up high in the air. There is an explosion and there are cries from the soldiers that get caught up in the blast. Kim himself actually looks on wide eyed at the result as he lands at a safe distance. This is war. He could not help this.
Even so he can't help but feel rather enraged at how this commanding officer was willing to sacrafice her own men just to try and kill him. Even if they might be sentenced to death if captured at least they had some chance to be spared. Not this time. "I hope you are happy with what you did. Those are the last people I will let you kill!" His brow furrows and he surges forward. He flips up into the air then comes downward once more at the pink haired commander. His feet turn into a flurry of stomps intent on driving the woman into the ground and even break that RPG if she still is holding it.

The commander is broken. It would have been worth it, she tells herself, if she had been able to stop this monstrous man at the same time. But she couldn't; she didn't. It is self preservation which brings her to try and defend herself regardless; the RPG is brought up to try and fend off Kim's feet... but it is like a mouse trying to bat off a raging tiger with a toothpick.
She knows she's done for. She has been injured before, like this. She can feel the blood leaking from her head. She has no choice; Vega will kill her, or the Vietnamese will kill her. Believe it or not, the unfortunate commander does feel a pang of guilt. She has to try and let the remnants of Doom Company get out of here.
Her fingers touch the radio woven into her collar.
"Retreat." She whispers, hoarsely. "And launch the last of our missiles... on my signal."
Is she happy with what she's done? No.
But as she hears the incoming rockets, and closes her eyes, she hopes she can at least atone for the sacrifice she inflicted on her soldiers.

And with that the commander is taken down. Kim is not one that likes to put so much force behind his blows, but this is someone that did something unforgiveable. Does it make him proud of what he did? Not really. He is happy to have finally taken the woman down because it seems to break the morale of the few members of the company are left. "I am sorry." is all he says to her before hearing the whistling of rockets coming inwards.
This time he isn't fast enough to avoid the rockets that come in. Of course there is more than one this time too. He is caught by a blast that lifts him off the ground and while he is trying to twist in the air to get control he is hit head on with with another as he kicks a foot outwards to try and knock it away. Instead the blast flings him away and he hits a tree hard and leaves a bit of a Kimprint on it as he slides down on the ground. His foot is a bit of a mess, but it is still attached which is a good thing. The commander is probably not so lucky. There was no way she was getting out.
He leans back for the moment and hears the soldiers fleeing. He has done his part so far. He will have to keep going and make sure to help drive all the forces of Shadaloo and China out once he takes a few moments to recover and make sure he can still walk.
