Description: Shadaloo continues to surge forward as it tries its best to get ahold of Asia so it can start looking towards other countries. Bangladesh seemed like it was destined to fall given the large forces sent there way. It would seem that miracles do happen and they came in the form of Elias and Mr. Jones. Together the priest and Black Ranger seem to be too much for the invading forces and at least for another week Bangladesh remains free.
The People's Republic of Bangladesh has been preparing itself for what is coming. India has fallen to the might of Vega himself, and it can only be a matter of time before this place, too, is assaulted. Surrounded on all sides by land which is being relentlessly driven under the heel of Shadaloo, to say the situation in Bangladesh has been 'tense' would be an understatement.
This preparation has given them some advantages, though. For instance, now that Shadaloo's forces are mobilizing against them, it isn't a surprise; the fighting has started from the border, and they are making the enemy forces pay for every inch of lost ground in blood. Still, the forces of Shadaloo are disciplined, prepared, and viciously, relentlessly cruel. For every one man Shadaloo loses, three of the defenders fall.
Omega Company are leading the charge into the enemy territory. Their forces have pinned down the bulk of the defenders in the border village of Teroghoria. The small village is pressed up against the banks of a small river, and the beleaguered defenders have been forced to use the homes of terrified natives as makeshift cover against the advancing forces.
Commander Hazard of Brutal Squad has been waiting for just such a situation to break in his new recruits.
"Alright, maggots, listen up. We're going for a scorched earth policy here. Not a single soul left alive, soldier, civilian, man, woman, child. Lord Vega wants a message sent to these scum, and we're going to give him what he wants!"
This is bellowed over the jet engine's roar, and his order delivered, parachutes begin to dot the sky above. The elite strike force coming in from above, whilst the massed forces of Shadaloo's finest keep the defenders pinned against the river. Can there be any doubt about the outcome?

It looks like the world as a whole doesn't get a break for long after the event of The King of Fighters. At least with it a good amount of the general populace never realized what fully was going on. It kept widespread panic from happening all over. This time is not the case. Vega has gone on the warpath and there is not a country in the world that can feel safe. So far at least things have mostly been isolated to Asia and most other continents are safe for the time being.
It is a time where people must try their best to help. Elias had planned to travel from Sunshine City and once again try to be a silent hero. A man of God who just wishes to make sure to keep people from suffering as best he can. He is only one man, but wants to make a difference. Then it seemed bad luck was just on his side. Was it a coincidence that the demon in Alice had awoken when Vega went on attack? Was it something to do with her time being a captive of Shadaloo? Even worse she has run off and he has had no idea on where to look for her other than some hints she was actually seen in Bangladesh. Or at least there were stories of a rather crazy girl running through the streets of several villages.
Once he arrived he was left with stories that she has not been seen in several days with no real hints where Alice could have gone. Even worse it looks like Vega's forces had started their invasion on the poor country. As much as he needs to find Alice there is only one thing that can be done. Stay and help these people first. At least he had some good luck. A few calls asking for one Johnny Jones for help in looking for Alice meant that the funky fighter is caught up in the mess along with Elias.
So even soldiers advance and more drop from the sky there is a chance the defenders might come out of this okay. Simply standing out in the open is the priest as he waits for the enemies to draw closer. He stands up straight with hands clasped behind his back as he just stares with that usual unemotional expression on his face.

Caught up in the thick of it is how Johnny Jones lives, it is how he exists, how he knows that the rhythm of life is still going never to die much like disco itself. It is why he didn't hesitate to heed the call of /real/ battle and come to the defense of Indonesia naught but a week ago. He had 'practiced' saving the world before the cameras long enough, now it was the time to truly heed the destiny and take his place amongst those heroes of legends, to defeat evil wherever it may rear it's ugly head.
Elias' support would come much sooner than the priest might expect. Of course, since he knows him in a personal basis, the boxing priest just knows that Mister Johnny Jones would jump at the call to fight for the forces of goodness and assist in the quest to look for the missing Alice. What he might not know is that Jones was already in Asia when he called him, almost around the corner in Indonesia and arrived possibly only a few hours after Elias had set the phone down.
But wait, that's not where the surprises end, if there's something to be said about Jonesy is that he never runs out of surprises.
Elias won't have to make his lonely defiant stand against the onslaught of Shadaloo forces for long. The terrified villagers and soldiers hiding behind him would suddenly give out surprised gasps and excited chatter when from nowhere a dark figure sails across the sky doing a full frontal flip that covers at least ten feet to land right next to Elias.
It's the Black Power Ranger!
"Groovy!" No wait, wait, that's just Mister Jones dressed as a Power Ranger. To some it may be a greatly disrespectful thing to do in such a dangerous time, to poke fun at the danger by dressing in such a ridiculous attire. Not to mention that most natives are probably not even familiar with the Power Rangers. But Jonesy knows different, in such a desperate time for survival, the people need a figure to look up to, a symbol that represents their will to live and unwavering resolve against the forces of Shadaloo. Where once there was naught but mournful sobs and fear, there is no hope.
Plus it makes for one heck of a publicity stunt! Power Rangers Season number 98 here we come!

As Brutal Squad descend from the sky like angels of death, Commander Hazard slides his combat gauntlet into place. He's no Balrog, but the wickedly sharp, serrated knives of his claws give him all the impression of deathly power he needs to keep his men in line. His non-clawed hand lights up his cigar, and then he too leaps into the fray. As he touches down, his keen eyes start to take on a more tactical appraisal of what is going on down here, where needs to be targeted, and destroyed, to break the back of this defense.
Down below, the first soldiers of Brutal Squad touch down. Their allies spray the area with covering fire to try and keep the defenders back - and, as he is making such a showy figure of himself, the Black Ranger - no, wait, Johnny Jones - is targeted too. Automatic weapons spit death from above.
Omega Company have much the same thought. From a further distance, they try to keep the defenders worrying about keeping their heads down - for the moment, any danger to the fighters is more from bad luck than focused fire, but the air *is* full of a huge amount of lead, making the entire battlefield a dangerous place to be!

So calm and stoic Elias is. Quite the opposite to the flashy and outrageous Johnny Jones. It is always an odd friendship that no one will ever quite figure out. More so people might never be able to figure out how Elias can keep a straight face and not come off looking the slight bit embarassed when hanging out with Jones. Of course at a time like this he isn't exactly going to chide the other fighter for acting like a giant child. Things are much too dangerous for that right now.
Forward he starts to stalk towards some of the soldiers firing at him and his advance is held back by the fire peppering the landscape and even a few bullets seem to hit the priest which is the true reason his forward movement stops. "Be careful. You wouldn't want to mess up your hair." he calmly tells Mr. Jones in that usual monotone voice of his. He knows the man can take care of himself, but he will keep a close eye on the afro'd one just to be sure.
And if he won't be able to move forward easily he will just fire back at the men who are trying to gun him down. A hand raises as it ignites with the firey energy that he wields. A flame that grows larger as he rears back then punches forward with his giant meaty fist. The energy sails off and towards the group of enemy soldiers as it expands into a large firey ring of death.

It's what we like to call a Ying and Yang relationship, what was that saying about opposites attracting and what not? It takes a special kind of personality to tolerate the gaudy retro dance fighter such as Elias, but the opposite is true, only someone as overly enthusiastic as Mister Jones can handle the ever stoic same face'd boxing priest. It just evens out like that!
As much as Jones is a believer of friendship blossoming in the battle field, he is a fighter and a warrior despite carrying himself more as a comedian and readies himself for the incoming assault. "That's what the helmet is for brudda!" Says The Black Ranger as he knocks on his helmet, responding with a muffled voice to his priestly team mate.
The hail of bullets come and it seems that they all collide with the Power Ranger causing him to reel back. The people of Teroghoria gasp as they see the masked avenger that has come to assist them take a full dose of lead to the body. Is he dead already? Was he just a joke all along??
"Are you serious!?" The Black Power Ranger stands tall after taking the full rain of bullets placing one hand on his hip, while the other points dramatically to the sky. "You will need more than /that/ to topple the might of /JUSTICE!/"
Unbeknownst to all, that Ranger suit is actually all made out of kevlar. Jones is not as stupid as he acts.

Commander Hazard thinks he has a pretty good idea what needs to be done, now.
"Brutal Squad, WITH ME! Omega Company, heavy ordinance on the F-three."
F-three, you may be wondering at home? Fierce Fighting Freak. AKA Black Ranger AKA Johnny Jones.
Omega Company are a little distracted from responding to the Commander by the blast of holy fire which is sent roaring their way. The troops disperse, or take cover behind their transport vehicle. The transport is dented and set aflame by the holy fire, but none of the soldiers are incinerated, which probably means, all things considered, that their defensive strategem was successful.
Omega Company then attempt to respond to the orders given. Rockets are loaded up, and fired - three of the high explosive artillery shells aiming to detonate on and around Johnny Jones. If bullets won't do the job, maybe *this* will blow the Justice out of him!
Brutal Squad make their presence known from behind Elias, instead. The priest has been highlighted by the Commander as a priority target; after all, he almost roasted half a dozen men alive just now! Grenades scatter around the man... when they explode, whether or not Elias just tanks it, the thick black smoke and dirt which it throws up will be disrupted by a sudden flash of bright flashing steel.
Commander Hazard himself coming rolling forwards to try and drive his clawed hand into the Priest's center mass.

Let it be known that this will not be an easy fight for the attackers. The forces of Bangladesh aren't exactly well trained, but when they are giving cover fire to help out well trained fighters thins become much more difficult. Even better is the fact that if anything the priest and Black Ranger are providing a good distraction that is allowing civilians to get out of the town and try to get away as enemy forces are distracted. It is all about reducing casualties.
Elias soon finds himself also being targeted by a round of grenades coming his way. It really can be intimidating when the man doesn't even seem to panic at seeing them lobbed his way when he turns about. They begin to explode around him and it gets very hard to see what exactly it might have done to the priest. That is until Hazard decides to charge through the smoke and attack Elias himself. He might be a bit surprised to see the man is barely scratched from the explosions that happened around him. Even more so he seems more than prepared for the incoming attack.
The claw never sinks into the torso of Elias as the priest is quick enough to divert it to where it only scratches along his clothing and leaves a few cuts on his body. It also leaves him a free hand to use as he attempts to drive it right into the face of the commander. "I hope you said your prayers."

Some heavier ordinance might do the trick against this so called F-three. The Black Ranger also known as Mister Jones sees Elias charge against the enemy and he decides to take a few quick back dashes to gain momentum. This also puts him in the way of the hail of projectiles coming directly at him. But not to worry, he has a plan y'see? He has practiced this!
As the missiles come his way, he looks up and gets ready to jump on each one using them as step ladders to get in enemy territory to take the fight to them. It's a reckless but sound plan and as he jumps up directly to one of the rockets he realizes that he failed to consider that...he's a lot heavier with the Power Ranger suit.
"Woopsie daisy!"
His foot causes a dent on the projectile which summarily explodes right from under him detonating the other two in the air and a twirling figure is seen spinning away from the explosion trailing smoke behind him.
"Ow!!" Jones lands on his back, sizzling after taking those explosions full front and raises a hand with one digit extended. "I meant to do that!"
It builds up drama.

Such is the witty rejoinder that Commander Hazard gives to Elias as the Priest's fist plows into his face. Two teeth are knocked free in a shower of blood, along with his cigar. The rest of Brutal Squad look suitably stunned by the bloodying of their commanding officer - not one of them had even been able to lay a finger on him in a fight. This guy stood there as he was blown up, and then practically laid him out all at once!
Omega Company start to reload, advancing to pincer around the village and try to cut off civilian escape routes. For the moment, they aren't opening fire. They're preparing for a more vicious offensive.
"Vega's the only God I've ever seen." Commander Hazard spits, as he gets back up onto his feet. Even with his injuries, he isn't going to be deterred from the fight. "If you want to go check ahead for me, that's fine. Give him a hand, boys!"
With a sudden surge, the Commander brings his claw across in a quick and open swipe, whilst the rest of Brutal Squad come in, six men crowding around the mighty priest and aiming to batter and bludgeon him with the butts of their weapons. Surely THAT will break the towering giant of a man, right?

It would look like Hazard is a bigger fool than Elias had thought. Then again he supposes he should not expect to find faith in any sort of man that considers a devil like Vega as a god. He is strong and an imposing figure, but by far not a god. "I see. I suppose there is only one way to correct you." That can't be good, can it? He also realizes if this man is leading the charge he might break the moral of the soldiers around him. How will they hold up if they see their leader demolished?
He also notices movements from the Omega Company and hopes Jones can find his groove and stop them from whatever they are planning. He has his own worries right now since he is surrounded without anywhere really to go. He is soon dogpiled and he feels the six men beat on him, but doesn't seem to want to give an inch as that face remains emotionless. He is all focused on the commander and as he comes running in the priest makes an uppercut that is nowhere near close to hitting Hazard. Of course Hazard might not notice the circle or flames below him that erupt right as he reaches for the priest and engulfs the man. The men striking him end up being lucky and do not get caught up in the blast.
When Mister Jones manages to kick himself back to his feet, he dusts himself first and looks around realizing that the blast has pushed him back all the way inside the village. Perfect! This was /totally/ part of his plan too, because as it so happens Shadaloo soldiers are now splitting their forces to go around the melee between Elias and the force commander over there to attack the unprotected village. Or it would be unprotected except he is there now to do something about it.
See? All part of the plan.
Mister Jones notices that they will be attacking soon from all sides and tells the allied soldiers to hunker down on the left side while he attacks the right flank of Omega Company. Leaping into the air, he bounces off a house's roof to spin in the air multiple times and descend right upon someone who he thinks look like could be Omgea's Company squad leader. Maybe it's the fancy hat or whatever, but The Black Ranger knows that one should always go for the leadership first to break moral.
And what better way to break something than an axe kick to the skull?
"WAATAAA!!"

Commander Hazard is on fire.
Brutal Squad are a relatively green Shadaloo crew, and they are distinctly unnerved by the fact that Elias doesn't even flinch from the beating they give him. They're hitting him, and he just doesn't care! And he set the Commander on fire!
Hazard himself isn't going down that easy, though. His Shadaloo-issue uniform is melting into his skin, but the grizzled veteran snarls. If anything, there's more determination in him than before. "DON'T even THINK about running." He barks at his subordinates. "Lord Vega will have your HEADS if you do."
That said, he is suddenly lunging forwards. The air around Elias is full of slashing claw and furious, flaming Commander. Dozens upon dozens of slashes delivered in just a few seconds, as the maimed Commander does his best to live up to the model of vengeance that Vega wants him to be.
Brutal Squad don't run, but they don't advance, either. All they can do is try to concentrate and stay ready.
"This guy's a monster!"
"What, the Priest or the Commander?"
"YES!"
Omega Company's squad leader - a young woman with a bright silver skull on her helmet - is smashed brutally underfoot by the charging Black Ranger. Now that he's there, though, they know what they have to do. Lieutenant Sandra Skullmurder's career may have had a serious dent put in it by the heavy foot of Justice, but they have a job to do.
There's a roar, and a rumble as a second transport comes tearing from the back ranks, aiming to simply plough into Jones, and smash him out of the way so they can carry on their mission of doom.
It even honks its horn as it approaches. *BWAAAAAAAAARGH*.

Despite the powerful blast of fire engulfing Hazard it seems that the man still stands. Elias is not fully surprised, but the fact he still seems confident about things just shows how fiercely loyal he is to the cause. this is going to be a bloody war if there are alot of people like him. The normal grunts might be easier to scare at least. If not for the yelling of the commander he expected at least some of them to start to flee. It might have been in their best interest to do so. Vega wouldn't go hunt down every single individual afterall. Instead they are here with a not so happy priest dangerously close to them.
They can breath a sigh of relief for now at least. Hazard is keeping Elias' full attention at the moment as he starts to become a flurry of clawing attacks. Even so Elias actually steps towards him as if reaching out to grab the man. It ends up being a mistake and for the first time so far this fight the priest shows he can be hurt. He is caught up in the slashing attacks and multiple wounds are opened. It doesn't do much to slow Elias. Even worse some might notice some of the smaller cuts almost seem as if they are closing themselves up. As for Hazard? He is soon met with a rather large booted that is aimed to slam right into his face and slam his head into the ground.

Well at least she was wearing a helmet! The Black Ranger isn't one to enjoy the suffering of others, he is just doing what needs to be done after all, but it doesn't stop him from doing his job very well as he stomps the woman's head a couple more times just to make sure she won't be getting back up anytime soon.
"Sorry!" Even as he is apologizing the Power Ranger is already adopting a Jeet Kune Do stance to deal with the rest of the soldiers surrounding him, though it does him no good as it turns out his first real foe won't be a human, but a car! "What the--" Alerted by the horn of the vehicle, Jonesy's first thought is to get outta dodge and avoid the car! But he can't exactly just leave the woman get run over like that. What is a Funky Ranger to do? He stands his ground and takes it like a champ!
"WOASHAA!" Jones just shoulder bashes the incoming vehicle forcing it to violently stop in it's tracks by smashing the motor into oblivion. As superhuman as that may have looked, Jones feels that almost friggin' broke his arm and gives a slight grunt of pain, far better than most people can say after taking a truck full on to the body. However, now that the car has stopped, Jones leaps up towards it with a flying fist aiming to go right through the windshield, take the driver with him, the seat, through the armored transport section where troops are carried and then through the back doors so he can engage the squadron directly!

The driver is jerked forwards as the transport is smashed forcefully to a halt. Suddenly, the man finds himself being confronted by something right out of his childhood. There's so much wrong with what just happened. Frantically, he mashes the acceleration, but, as the fist goes into his windshield, he pulls out the pin on the flashbang at his belt and tries to throw it--
And instead finds himself being carried powerfully into the back of the transport with a pained cry. There's a deafening *KABOOM* inside the transport, and a blinding flash of light which completely fills the back of the vehicle, blinding the entire company of soldiers... though Jones, being a trained fighter, is obviously not the sort to be distracted by such an underhanded trick!
The Commander is a tough man, too, in his way. Flipping backwards from Elias' booted foot. To demonstrate his toughness, he pulls a second cigar from his pocket, and lights it from the flames on his shoulder.
"Do I have to do everything?" He snarls, to cover up his pain. "Hurry up and kill this sucker."
That seems to bring Brutal Squad back into reality, and the group come forward again. This time, it is a bit more focused. Two men come in from the front to try and slam into Elias, whilst a third sticks his leg out behind- the hope is that they can put him on the floor. Maybe that will somehow help?!

Despite all the injuries it seems like Hazard still has enough wits about him to actually get out of the way of the priest's big boot. It also allows the men coming in at him to have a bit of an opening. Even if it really didn't help them that past time when they started beating on him. He is hit hard by the first two and driven back into the outstretched leg of the other. It is the first time that they actually manage to get the big man off his feet and onto his back.
The bad news is he doesn't stay down. The even worse news is that fire is being summoned again, this time both hands igniting as he starts to get up, the flames not seeming to do anything to him, but feeling incredibly hot for the poor three soldiers who are almost point blank when that large blast of fire looks to engulf them and even splash it's way into the rest of the Squad intent on setting even more men ablaze.
Actually it's not so much that Jones is /soooo/ skilled that he can just tough out a flashbang to the face. The reason why he doesn't get completely blinded by that, is because he's wearing a helmet, which has build in shades! Like the suit, it has practical reasons besides being slick as hell and striking fear into the hearts of his enemies.
Jonesy sees that look of recognizing on the driver in the split second before he punches the lights out of him. Always fun to run into a fellow Power Ranger fan right before punching their teeth out! It's why as the flashbang goes out blinding the rest of the squad that Mister Jones takes the time to leave a hastily written note to the fallen man, tossing it upon his chest while he goes to deal with the rest of his companions.

"WAAATAAA!" And once more Mister Jones is back in action. Flying towards the first few soldiers to send a flurry of round house kicks directly to their knee joints aiming to snap them right out of their sockets. Sure, it's painful and it'll take a long time for them to recover. But it's not his intention to kill anyone today.

The three men around Elias, well... they aren't, around, Elias any more. Except in the most literal sense of the term. They are quite thoroughly exploded, and as the rest of Brutal Squad consider running, the Commander sneers, and presses his claws into the back of the most nervous-looking soldier. "They were weak." He snarls. "Vega has no use for the weak. You ain't weak, are you, boy? Open fire."
The group really are panicking now, and the surviving members of Brutal Squad unleash fully into Elias, squeezing the triggers down on their machineguns and just keeping them held down. Nothing else has worked, they just have to KEEP FIRING. Even the Commander gets in on it, drawing his standard-issue pistol and sighting the Priest to add to the withering hail of gunfire that aims to disintegrate the would-be savior.
Jones, finds himself in the middle of a group of half-blind, angry soldiers. The confined spaces work to their advantage, and there's a lot of grunting and flailing, but he's going to have to really have hits wits about him if he doesn't want to wind up taking a pistol to the face!
"The HELL kind of freak are you?!" One of the commandos shouts, "Gonna make you EAT that stupid costume!"
Of course, by this point, the pair have successfully drawn the attention of pretty much the entire attacking Shadaloo force. The Commander is utterly focused on revenge against the man who has disfigured him, and Omega Company has been stalled for backup leadership and advance by Johnny. The villagers are making good headway in their retreat!

The need for revenge just might be the downfall for the commander and the soldiers that remain near him that open fire on Elias. They only remain because they fear Vega more than the priest. They should certainly be fearing Elias more at the moment because Vega is not here. That and Elias has proven despite being a man of god he is no pacifist. Being one would not help win a battle. He knows all too well that he is taking lives, but if he did not do now the lives of even more would be in stake. Innocent lives. He will take this burden to protect those that cannot protect themselves.
To make it even worse as he fully gets back up to his feet he walks forward into the firing group yet somehow not a single bullet catches him. He approaches the commander as the man continues to fire at him and he then charges forward. A shoulder is lowered to knock the commander off balance before he gives a vicious right aimed to slam into the chest of the disfigured fighter. There is no fire involved this time. Just a brutal physical punch in an attempt to finally down the maniac.

"Aw come on brudda!" Mister Jones can't help but grin under his helmet, unable to make a frown even whilst in the middle of brutal war. People all around him may be dying, villages burned to the ground, cities utterly destroyed, but he is just that constant flux limitless supply of funk. It looks like nothing can get to him, much less a pistol whip to the face. "Ain't you a fan of the Black Ranger!?"
That hurts his heart! Much more than the pistol whip that he smacks away with a bash of his forearm! But there's no problem really, Jones knows that there's only two kinds of people in this world. Those that love Power Rangers and those that have yet to know Power Rangers. The commando must be one of the latter and therefore Jonesy goes to do so much needed exposure to the man.

The Commander has put up a pretty good fight for a man who has been grotesquely burned. In the end, though, he can't stay away from the Priest. The mad charge into the gunfire, which doesn't even manage to touch the trained warrior, finally gets the idea in the man's head that this might have been a mistake. Unfortunately, it occurs moments before he is slammed into the ground with brutal force. The leader of Brutal Squad almost wants to congratulate the priest.
Instead, like the fanatic he is, he tries to make his last order plain... by chomping hard on Elias' forearm.
Brutal Squad, by contrast, are now fighting for their lives, pretty certain that this monster priest is going to kill them all. They are down to sidearms, which they pull out and start to fire as they beat a hasty retreat backwards...
Inside the transport, the Commando has rather more success against the Funky Fighter. His hand comes up and smacks away the punch aimed at his throat. "SQUAD, TACTIC X-7."
This might confuse the Black Ranger, as suddenly the group are running away. Maybe he's won?!
But... no. Instead, when the hussle and bustle is over, and the group have dispersed from the transport through the back, the tricksy thing EXPLODES in an immense fireball. The hope, obviously, is that he'll be showboating long enough that he's caught when the whole thing goes up, whilst they can dig in at a safer distance.

With that punch it seems moral seems to be broken must like how the commander is now broken and left on the ground. Even as he tries to bite at Elias the priest is pulling his arm away and manages to avoid it. He straightens back up and he just watches the enemies as they start to retreat and once more they seem to not be able to hit the monster that is staring them down. Will he give chase? If not will they just be left to run for their lives and perhaps live for another day? Even if they do run they might be dead if Vega finds out what happened.
His attention is only drawn away when there is the explosion of the transport that Jones was in and Elias turns about to turn his attention to those remaining of Omega company come in his sights. This is probably a very bad thing for them, but a good thing for the Brutal Squad. Do they take this chance to get away or are they foolish enough to stay? Right now Elias starts to stalk towards the Omega while hoping Jones can handle the explosion.

Meh, in retrospect it's a good thing that the commando dodge like he did. Had he taken the blow to the neck it probably would have killed him. Therefore Jones ain't too worried about them running away, he is however taken back when yet another car comes his way all rigged and ready to explode! How many transports did these guys brought with them!?
"Oh baby!"
The Black Ranger spins backwards and somersaults high back to the house he used to catapult himself into action allowing the car to explode harmlessly outside the jungle Omega Squadron is now using for cover.
"You think I'm stupid enough to go out there and get you!? Come on out and fight like men!" The Power Ranger shakes his fist at the hiding commandos, though in reality he's just doing that to cool off a little. Jones grunts and removes his helmet with a *POP* sound as his afro poofs out before fanning himself with his hand. "Man, it's hot out here."

Vladimir Rustovich is a man who cares not that Russia is suffering under the yoke of Shadaloo's rule. He is a man who enjoys killing, and Shadaloo have taken that talent and honed it to the very fore. Now, he is watching the Black Ranger through the scope of his high powered sniper rifle. Waiting. Watching. From his vantage point amongst the rushes of the river, he has gone unnoticed for hours; so difficult to tell where any one bullet comes from in all this melee, right?
And then he smiles.
"Meet interesting people, and kill 'em."
*BANG*
Meanwhile, Brutal Squad are rallying. A dark voice intones over their earbuds. "I hope you aren't thinking of running just because you've lost half your people and your commanding officer. There are still hostile targets."
The remaining soldiers really do have a dilemma now; risk death by fighting, or by fleeing.

It is a tough choice. One that Brutal squad at least has some time to mull over. Even as they run and pause while trying to decide what to do it seems Elias has forgotten about them for now. He is more intent on moving over to where Jones pops out. "Why are you in that anyways?" He finally asks. Is that how little he is worried about those forces that are still around at the moment? That or really seeing Jones hop about like that has left him with many questions and all of them started with 'why'
He looks about then turns and notices that the squad seemed to have stopped. Of course he doesn't know of the voice talking to them right now and threatening them. He just sees them standing there in once place and he turns back to face them. "And here I thought those running were smart." He doesn't even realizes the danger of the sniper at this point as he takes a shot at Mr. Jones. Instead Elias shakes his head and he finds some of the wreckage of the now exploded vehicle and he hefts it up. He takes a few steps then tosses the mass of smoking and still hot metal right towards the remnants of Brutal Squad as if trying to help make their decision easier.

It doesn't seem like these guys are coming out of the jungle any time soon, so Mister Jones figures that they had really done the smart thing and turn tail. It appears that evil is not that dumb after all if they see the futility of their ways against the forces of goodness! Jones takes this time to wave at Elias down below telling him that everything is A-OK right before he puts his helmet back on and...
Gets shot in the head!
"Hey!!" That friggin' afro of his must have cushioned the blow some, since rather than get his brains blasted out of his skull, the funky fighter just kind of flails his arms about trying to maintain his balance and not roll down the house he's standing on. "What was that?" He asks to himself as he digs on the side of the helmet where he was shot pulling out the large sized bullet that got stuck there. "Huh.." He shrugs. "Musta caught a stray one." Says he casually before flicking the bullet aside..directly towards the sniper that shot him. Probably with the same speed too.

Vladimir grunts as Jones stays standing. Muttering multiple curses, he starts to line up his shot...
And the bullet cracks the glass of his scope.
The sniper's head jerks backwards on reflex, and somehow he manages to avoid a deadly fate, his brow cut by the glass of his exploding scope. "... Screw this." He decides, "They are not paying me enough."
Brutal Squad take cover from the incoming shrapnel. "B-Base!" One of the new recruits shouts into his communicator. "I'm, I'm sending coordinates, okay? We can't get close, we're pinned! Bring in air support!"
Omega Company are down one sniper, but the commandos have set up their larger-caliber weaponry. There's juddering roars as the serious men open up with serious weapons on the decidedly unserious (though still very dangerous) Master of the Funk.

They do not scatter like he had hoped. Instead they are more set on trying to fight on it would seem. Vega certainly does seem to have sway over his troops if they fear him this much. The situation is dire for them and yet they continue to attack. They even hope that air support would be the answer. They certainly do given the fact Elias has started to advance on them once more. "Maybe you should keep the helmet on." he calls back to Mr. Jones who seems to have his own problems to deal with at the moment.
Even as the planes come in to try and offer some support nothing comes of it. Elias' slow march just seems much more imposing as the ground around him is torn up by the fire of the planes. "I am sorry. I will put you all to rest." he calmly comments to the group before breaking into a run. The priest becomes a flurry of fists as his boxing background comes out to it's fullest. Powerful lefts and rights will be aimed as he starts to try and mow through what is left of the squad and put them down.

"I am keeping the helmet on!" Mister Jones just /caught/ that snarky remark from Elias and despite the danger comically starts to flail his arms about when he is criticized about his performance. "Can't a brotha' catch a break over here!? This suit ain't got no ventilation! Ya know what I mean!?" So say the Black Ranger in a total out of character rant as he spouts out out dated ghetto lingo.
Jones is quick to catch himself though, he's a professional actor after all, and clears his throat when the commandos make their appearance with fancier weapons. "Aha! There you are!" The Black Ranger extends his arms as bullets are shot his way, doing incredibly embarrassing heroic poses that somehow evade the shots. "I ... have been waiting for you!!"
An accusing finger is pointed down at them when they still can't seem able to get a good shot at him and he dives down his spot with a flurry of kicks aimed for all them commando punks.

Frankly, the forces of Shadaloo are so terrified by this point, they aren't really thinking logically at all.
Johnny barrels into the forces like some sort of Afro-powered bomb. They have dug in defensive positions, but his foot smashes *THROUGH* the raised shields and the power of his funk guides him until there is almost nobody left at all. One of the transport convoy vehicles has turned over, and now the advance group is down to one man. One man, against the rising tide of funky justice.
His name is Gunther, and he had one day hoped that he would marry Sandra and become Gunther Skullmurder, because that last name is far more impressive than Freischman. The Black Ranger is surrounded by downed soldiers, and this one man steps forwards, sweating, exhausted, but he's got a combat knife in one hand and a pistol in the other.
It isn't over 'til its over.
For Brutal Squad, it is rapidly becoming 'over' indeed. Defensive training did not handle blows of this caliber, and the sheer force of the priest powers through their attempts to defend themselves. They aren't fighting for Vega, they are fighting for survival, something which becomes obvious as their efforts become more frantic, training abandoned in favor of desperate lashing out against the Priest's form, which has proven all but invulnerable to the blows of normal men.

If anything at least the ones currently being puched about aren't being outright killed. Unlike their comrades that were set on fire and turned into ash they are instead more likely to become a prisoner. If anything they have failed and Vega doesn't have the time to come after every single one that has failed. Some might survive this all in the end. Being a prisoner might be a much better fate than coming back to Vega and telling him they failed in their attack afterall.
And they do keep fighting. They certainly do their best to try and do some damage to the priest. Even as the flail and beat on Elias he keeps going. Knocking people out left and right until there is only two men left to face him. As they both come in the priest raises his hands high then drives his fist downwards on the top of their heads, cracking the helmets they wear and knocking both out. With that done it looks like this battle might finally be close to over. He now at least has time to spare a glance over to Jones to see how he is doing.
Those kicks just keep coming and coming and coming. Just like the power of Funk is infinite so does Mister Jones' energy to continue on where lesser, not as funky men, would have stopped. The Black Ranger only stops when most men with the riot shields have been kicked down to the ground rendered unable to continue their folly quest of evil.
He looks up, the Ranger's gaze falling upon the lone man that has come all this way to stop him. As Gunther stares right back into the eyes of the Black Ranger he'll see naught but his reflection on those shaded masked eyes.
"Hey! Are you the guy that tried to pistol whip me!?"
This is what Elias sees when he turns to look over his shoulder to check on him. Mister Jones having an argument with the last remaining soldier of Omega Squadron. It's quite typical Jones' fashion.
"Not cool bro!" Says the retro fighter as he charge at the man swinging a forearm smash right for his chest to collapse his collar bone!

The large man kicks into the ground at the same moment that Johnny Jones comes in for him, and dirt and mud are thrown up...
But such an underhanded trick does nothing to dissuade the Funky Fighter, and just like his allies, this man too is laid out.
An eerie silence flows from the battlefield. Less than an hour ago, the country seemed doomed; their defense broken and their resolve waning...
Sunlight breaks through the clouds.
And a roar of triumph erupts across the village. The assault has been broken! The day... is saved!

And with that it seems that Jones manages to finish off the last of the troops he was dealing with as well. It would seem like perfect timing on their part. The gunfire soon ceases the sounds of cheering can be heard. A hard fought battle had been won and for now the invading Shadaloo forces have been dispacted. They might come back, but maybe stories of a rather powerful priest and a ....Black Ranger will make Vega think twice about sending troops this way again.
A shame he can't stay to make sure that is the case. Alice is still out there and Elias needs to try and pick up the trail before it gets too cold. She is still out there somewhere and hopefully well away from China. He does not like the idea of Vega possibly getting his hands on the girl once more. And if that demon is still in control of her that makes things even more worrisome. For now he can't do much. Once the last bits of invading forces are ousted the roads might clear up and he can move on once more. For now he may as well take a moment to relax....and hopefully talk Jones out of that outfit.
"Actually I do." Responds the Black Ranger all too quickly, dusting his mask off the mud that was tossed at him. "It's called a hammer strike. You reel your fist back and then bring it down using your forearm aiming for the ribs or the shoulder blades. It's kinda like swinging a flail down on..." From under his helmet, Jones blinks when he stops giving his quick martial arts lecture realizing that the man is unconscious. "Hello? Anyone home?" He prods Gunther with his foot but it looks like he's not waking up any time soon. So he shrugs. "Hmph.."
It got awfully silent all of the sudden too. Where's the explosions and the gun fire and the screaming? It occurs to him that if there's no noise it's because there's no soldiers to do it and he rushes over to Elias to see how he was faring. As he expected it would occur the priest totally demolished them all by himself.
"NICE!" There's no time for relaxation when Jones is involved. Just as Elias was easing down to rest, a heavy smack comes to hit him on his broad as The Black Ranger comes over to give him a thumbs up. "We totally smoked these chums brotha'!" Laughs he as a crowd of thankful townsfolks and soldiers rush them to cheer on and take pictures.
Naturally, Jonesy is not gonna let Elias go and tries to get him to pose with him doing Power Ranger poses.
But in the newspapers' headlines for the next day it's probably going to be the Black Ranger doing poses with a frowny looking Priest in the background.
