Description: A crash of ideals! Angry and rude Takako slams up against the emotionally dead Fuji. Takako feels that this has to be a joke, and she pays for that assumption dearly. Wooden sword smashes against wooden cane and in the end, only one can walk away victorious. Because the other is totally wiped out! (Winner: Fuji)
Saturday Night Fights are an interesting way to make a quick buck when you're a wandering soul like many of the combatants that stride through the area. Some are on a quest for personal glory, some for strength, others have their own goals and are unwilling to share just why they choose to walk the path they do. Through the Saturday Night Fights, people of all walks, creeds, and fighting styles (and flat out hobo lifestyles) compete one on one to see just who is having the better day.
Enter one of the more unpredictable of the lot, a small, late teenaged girl named Yatefusa Fuji. She resembles nothing like that of a combatant. She's short, waifish, blind -- Yet suprisingly well dressed. She had been waiting here for nearly an hour. Finding a specific forest is hard when you don't know what anything looks like. As far as she was concerned. She was idly chewing on a piece of wheat she found (though it could just as easily have been a long blade of grass). She lifted her head, listening. The rolling winds and wave of the trees were peaceful. Kind of a sore spot to fight anyone.
Takako has never fought a Bartitsu-user before. In fact, she'd actually gone and done some reading after she heard about the fight and the person she'd be fighting. "A *blind* person." She had raged. "They're really trying to take it easy on me, aren't they? Tch... waste of my time..."
So Takako has actually turned up late. Not by much; just long enough to be considered officially rude. The young Kendo fighter stomps across the peaceful grassy spot, and draws her bokken. She holds it up between herself and the girl, glaring in impetuous hate at the lazy, undisciplined look of her fellow fighter. At least, that's how she's choosing to take the wheatgrassthing between her opponent's lips.
"Oi." She shouts, "Stop chewing your cud! I'm here now, and I ain't going to go easy on you just because you can't see me coming." She hmphs, apparently feeling like she's the butt of some cruel joke by fight organizers everywhere. As though Kendo could really be challenged by a blind girl with a style inspired by walking sticks or some such nonsense!
Though leaning against a tree, the blind, well dressed woman who was leaning against a nearby tree lifted her head slowly. "So anxious to battle she doesn't even slow down to admire the beauty around her." mused the blind woman. "I cannot tell if you are undisciplined, or just plain rude." She righted herself then, and took a couple of steps forward. She was using a hook cane over a typical White-and-red 3 piece cane. She pulled the wheat from her lips, and dropped it, emerging from the shade of the trees. She was wearing sunglasses.
She listened as the samurai-like girl drew a bokken, taking this time to slowly undo the buttons on her jacket. She then popped the collar of the blouse beneath, then, took the time to take her midnight jacket off, draping it over her left shoulder, completely obscuring her left arm. "I see. You use a bokken to inflict pain but not kill." she mused. H-how did she know that? "...You'd probably be much stronger if you cared to respect your opponents as much as they at least tried to respect you." She flipped her cane, grabbing the butt of it, the crook nearly touching the ground. "Let me be the first to show you why it's best to say nothing when you have nothing good to say."

Takako narrows her eyes. "If you want respect you'll have to prove you aren't wasting my time!" The angry young Kendo artist declares. "I *don't* use a bokken to hurt people without killing them. I use it because I am not yet worthy to pick up my Father's sword just yet. I'm *insulted* that these judges seem to think Fujiwa-style Kendo should somehow have to justify itself compared to your so-called style!"
Takako really does have a mouth on her. Ranting and raving when she could be getting down to the business of fighting, it seems she might just have something of a chip on her shoulder.
"I respect anyone who can stand up and defend themselves... but you're BLIND! And you pretend to be able to fight with a walking stick? Its just ridiculous! Go home now before I BREAK YOUR HEAD!!!"
COMBATSYS: Takako has joined the fight here.

Listening, Fuji almost dropped her guard. Manners appeared to be another thing this other teenaged lass lacked, though... if she was looking for an insult battle? There was noone who could dish it like Fuji could. How are you going to beat someone emotionally when the target is mostly emotionless? She retained her relatively neutral stance, and shook her head slowly. The answer seemed pretty obvious to her, after all.
"Has it ever..." she paused, inching a step closer. "...Crossed your mind that perhaps you're not worthy of your father's blade because of your lack of disrespect? I know nothing of you and even I do not like your attitude. I can only imagine how ashamed your father must be. If he gave you a real sword it'd be mere moments before you did something foolish. I may be blind, but I'm no fool. You won't break me. You probably can't even properly swing a sword to begin with. Save us both the trouble and go home before someone a lot worse than me gets a hold of you." She paused. "...No? Then here I come." She rushed forward then. She hadn't used her cane for full out combat in a while. this was going to be interesting, for she attacked with a flurry of jabs, and if it connected, an over the shoulder throw to the ground!

Takako doesn't even try to get out of the way of the flurry of strikes. The blows slam into her, and, she just stands there and takes it. The girl's teeth grit. "My father is *dead*." She hisses.
And then her plan to simply take it, is thrown off by Fuji's throw. The girl grunts hard as she impacts the ground, and for a moment she doesn't move. Okay, that had been more bone-rattling than she had anticipated. It might be anticipated that Takako would try to milk that whole dead-father thing after all the insults Fuji had thrown at her. Instead, she sounds disturbingly calm.
"But alright. You've proven I'm not going to kill you by accident." With a wooden sword? Oh, yes. It is *quite* possible if you don't know what you are doing.
"KIAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
And with that shout, Takako's calm is broken and she throws herself forwards. Her bokken leads the way in what seems like a fairly simple forwards-thrust, but at the last moment she drives upwards, trying to slam the tip right into Fuji's throat.

The dark haired woman shifted. She was expecting a counter. Fact of the matter was, all of her jabs were with the crook of her cane. She was aiming to be non-lethal. However, listening to Takako's testimony, Fuji realized the easiest way to deal with Takako would be to simply put her out and hope she learns from the experience.
As it appeared, Fuji seemed a little more fluid with her movements, and as that strike came for her throat, her wrist shot up from her left hand, coat and wrist absorbing the blow, completely shielding the woman from the neck to her waist. "...So violent." she mused. "If only he were still alive to see what a monster you're about to become. Such an angry little girl." Her arm swung out from behind her, using it to wind up her cane for a full vertical smash. She brought it down hard, hoping to wound, but not break, her off-shoulder. If she can crumble Takako's confidence early, she won't stand a chance for the rest of the match.

Breaking Takako's confidence is like trying to catch a tidal wave with your bare hands. Win or lose, go down hard or go down easy, Takako's confidence is utterly inviolable. To fear death is to give it power over you! To doubt your own strength is to give in to doubt! She will touch the untouchable, break the unbreakable!
"FUCK YOU!"
The shout isn't exactly an *orthodox* Kiai, but it is heartfelt and pure, and Takako smashes aside the incoming strike with all the force she can muster. The impact still runs through and strains her muscles, but she is *far* from finished, and in fact she carries on the motion.
The twisting spin brings her full circle, and rather than come up with her sword, as one might expect a sane practicioner of Kendo to do, the diminutive little monster instead *leaps* up in a full bodied spring, aiming to drive the top of her head right into Fuji's stomach.
"You didn't know my Dad. He'd be laughing like a jackal at your lame attempt to psych me out! NOW SHUT UP AND FIGHT ME!"

Lame as it seemed, in many others eyes, Fuji's taunts were getting through. She seemed to be getting angrier with every second of furiously not being able to fully hit her. For a blind girl, she's a lot more difficult than one would anticipate. The sunglasses wearer lifted her head. She could sense something incoming, A springing motion. It was an easy dodge for her, as she casually stepped to the side to let the blade miss her entirely.
...I'm sure he'd be laughing like a jackal because it's working." she mused. the sword still passing her. She lifted her arm then, to let the kendo user and her sword to fly by, before she'd attempt to grab the young woman and DDT her face first into the ground!

Takako finds herself being dragged again, and the girl's nose is bloodied by the attack. When she gets up again, she is definitely not happy. Fuji is right though; she's not capable of getting through the blind fighter's guard, and that's pissing her off. She has no conception of how it is someone like Fuji can even be this tough. It is... impressive, but also insanely frustrating.
Well, words aren't an option any more, that much is for sure.
"GRAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!"
Furiously, the girl bellows as she comes roaring up from the ground. Her sword is brought with her, and any pretense to finnese or subtly is cast aside in favor of a single brutal swipe upwards. The aim is to smash Fuji into the air.
If she does this, some of that frustration will be let out as Takako leaps up after her. Four strikes would be delivered seemingly simultaneously- horizontal, vertical, and diagonals, before she uses the butt of her blade to smash the girl back to the ground.
That's the hope at least; and Takako sincerely hopes it gets the blind fighter to keep her trap shut!

At first glance, it would have looked like the initial brutal swipe upwards had connected-- but it didn't. Instead, Fuji had jumped up and away from the blow. However, she realized Takako figured it connected, and chased her up there. However, once up there? Both fighters engaged in a series of mid air fighting. Takako would strike, and every single blow would be parried. The last vertical blow was blocked entirely with Fuji using one hand, her left arm throwing her jacket forwards.A distraction? A mid-air uppercut...?
"...CHEEN MUSIC...!" She announced it in English.

"WHY WON'T YOU BLEED?!"
The question is bellowed as Fuji's fist slams into her chin.
Fuji's blow is perfectly placed, but Takako simply refuses to let herself be pushed backwards by it. Her feet find the floor and take Fuji's fist with her if she has to. The Kendo user herself is clearly hurt, bleeding pretty profusely from her lips and nose at this point. But she's not backing down and she's not giving up. If Fuji is going to stubbornly remain a problem, Takako will *SMASH THROUGH HER*.
With that dream in mind, the girl's sword is brought in a wide overhead arch. The weapon aims to crash down atop Fuji's head, but regardless of whether or not it connects, she brings it back and comes in again, and again, three strikes in rapid succession as she does her level best to crush through any attempt to parry with brute force and furious anger.

= The dark haired woman bounced away, she retrieving her coat. She may have gotten a touch cocky though, for suddenly, a violent vertical smash smokes her square in the dome. It hurt, but nothing that would bleed over time. Two more consecutive blows struck atop her head, but she managed to evade the final one that would have put her out. The woman with the sunglasses said nothing then. She merely stepped away, her head canted away. Quietly, she paced circles, breathing in slowly. That could have hurt much more than it did-- she figured. If that was a real sword it would have made brain puree out of her head. She should really work harder on protecting her vital organs. She still wasn't bleeding, however, but did a good job in causing it to Takako.
Without a word, she blitzed in, her jacket being thrown up towards Takako's face-- and a kick to the head to follow it...!

Takako is usually hard to faze with 'trickery', because she just doesn't care about taking hits. Unfortunately, this proves to be a mistake this time around. The blow smashes into her face, at the same moment that she was stepping forwards. The girl's momentum is foiled by the unexpected angle, and she winds up driving herself into the ground.
"Not... finished... yet!"
The angry spit is given as she pulls herslef up from the ground.
"I can do *better* than this."
She's talking to herself, completely ignoring Fuji, though it is likely pretty hard to tell that. She just needs a moment to get her head together.
COMBATSYS: Takako gains composure.

As it turned out? Fuji knew this. She could tell when people weren't talking directly to her. She noticed that everything that Takako has ever said to her had been full of malice. She wanted to hate her targets in hopes that it would make her stronger-- but instead, all it is letting her make careless mistakes. It was no wonder she didn't have a real sword. The raven haired woman shifted then. She almost felt sorry for Takako. Not because of her family issues, but because she was so naive. She would learn more from defeat. That's usually the ways of Bushido and any other kind of martial art. She came in again, with another flurry of jabs. Maybe this time Takako would be ready for her. She was pushing the assault just a little bit more, though.

Takako is indeed ready for Fuji this time.
As the blind fighter comes in at her, Takako shifts her guard just a little bit. The first few jabs smack into her...
"KIAAAAAAA!"
And then her head comes snapping forwards. The strain is immense, and there is an audible *CRACK* when Takako's head smashes painfully into Fuji's skull. She's actually smiling again; that had worked! That, had undeniably done exactly what she wanted it to do.
"Hah! I hope, you aren't starting to count me out!" The girl crows, as she digs her feet back into the ground, and rubs her bloody nose with the back of her gi. Sweaty, angry, and bloodied, Takako's drive to do her best still isn't diminished.
"Gonna make you work for it if you want to put me out! I might have been an idiot to underestimate you, but I'm an idiot who *isn't done yet!*"
Fuji came in full force expecting to end this, was she wasn't expecting was to meet forehead to forehead, which instantly stopped Fuji. She staggered back, and stopped herself against a tree She had a bruise on her forehead. She regained her composure, and as she righted herself, she heard a crack-- suddely, without warning, the bridge in her shades gave way, and the glasses fell off Fuji's face. "Tch...!" She gasped, slowly bending down and picking up both frames. "...You will pay for this." she said deeply. Her hands gripped at her cane, and she suddenly swung at a HUGE wide arc-- A wave of purple energy in the form of a crescent being shot towards Takako. "Eat... this...! Eternal Midnight...!" It was fast. It was purple. It was beautiful. It was most likely lethal, too.

Takako sees the wave of darkness coming, and her only response is to take one hand off her bokken.
And clasp it further up the wood.
"No, YOU take THIS!" She shouts in response.
Bringing her blade around, the wind surges up behind her, and the energy is unleashed in a slicing arc. It is everything she has left; her heart and soul put into the attack. The horizontal band of wind meets the purple crescent of energy.
And alas, it is not enough.
The purple energy picks Takako up, and carries her across the forest, where she impacts hard with a tree.
And finally shuts up.
The blind woman could sense that the battle was over. She realized that some locals and some farmers had turned up to watch. But the victory was hers. For the camera crew nearby, Fuji calmly put her jacket on, but said nothing. As the camera crew left though, Fuji's footsteps were heard, as she quietly walked towards Takako. From her breast pocket, she drew a small napkin, and placed it on her. To wipe herself off with. Or to simply add to the torment that she got beat by a disabled woman. She reached into her jacket, and from it drew a small black case. She opened it, and before Takako, she put on a pair of the exact same shades like the one Takako broke. She then put the case back, and then crouched, tapping the Kendo user on the side of the chin with her cane.
"...The sooner you find something to fight for rather than your own delusions, the sooner your father can look down and finally be proud of his daughter." She stood then, standing over her quietly. "May this defeat lead you towards this realization."
