Description: Two relative newcomers for this SNF Match, with the premiere of the one and only Mr. Jones, and the return of Vulcano Rosso, who apparently enjoyed his previous entry into the SNF spotlight. And for two such stylish fighters, what place could be better than one of the best clubs in Southtown? And of course, The Duck Pond is no stranger to hosting fights, either. Music, dancing, and punching people in the face. Good times, good times. (Double K.O.)
Appearing on SNF is addictive. Sure, most fights attract an audience to some degree, but it takes a pretty major tournament to draw in more viewers than SNF. And for someone with a pretty good opinion of his own skills and appearance, knowing that all these people are watching him doesn't hurt. Of course, Vulcano Rosso's interest in SNF isn't all about his ego. It is, in fact, a good opportunity to face off against fighters who use a wide variety of different fighting styles; helpful for honing one's skills.
Self-improvement generally isn't what the SNF promoters focus on, though. Unusual situations, flashy locales, preferably things exploding... that's what most of the fans like. And with a few explosive tricks up his mismatched sleeves, that makes Vulcano useful.
The Italian fighter arrives early, deciding to take some time to enjoy the club scene. After all, even if he wins there's a good chance that he's not going to feel much like dancing. People here just don't seem to appreciate his fashion, although when he mentions it's a European thing, many of them come around. Or at least avoid commenting negatively on it, because they're not sure if he's serious or not. But eventually the time for the fight draws near, and club staff begins shooing patrons back from the stage. The mosh pit is all well and good for a concert, but getting too close to a fight in progress can be bad for you health. Having gotten the message, Vulcano makes his way to his end of the stage and stands there, tapping his foot in time to the music that's still pumping out from the club's speakers.
Mr. Jones was already in the scene, he's never one to arrive late to the dancing after all! Besides a bit of dancing helps to get into the groove of the upcoming fight. Drawing a large crowd as it is natural for him, the disco fighter does a few light quick work to impress the folk that gather around him, taking all types of challengers who wish to dance off. Fellow disco maniacs, bboys, women and kids, Jones is quite the showman and knows how to please the crowd, it almost looks like he has forgotten that he has come her to fight rather than just dance, though he's been known to get lost in the heat of music and who says you can't have fun while waiting to fight. Either way, he's sure to start his debut to the proper fighting scene with a bang, he has already put in a good show around here, many thinking that he may rival Duck King himself, though he'd deny such a thing since the two have a very different style.
Anyways, he came here for a fight didn't he? Wonder when the announcer will introduce his contender a so called Vulcano.
With fight time fast approaching and both fighters ready there's little to hold things back. The volume of the music is lowered, though it doesn't completely cease, and the announcer gives his introductions for Mr. Jones and Vulcano, playing things up and getting the crowd pumped for the fight. Vulcano grins, flexing his fingers inside his long leather gloves, and giving Jones a friendly nod.
The music volume quickly rises againce once the announcer finishes going through his bit, making it a bit difficult for the two fighters to actually talk to one another. Maybe once they close in to punching range they'll be able to shout. For now, Vulcano gives Mr. Jones a thumbs-up and a grin, then charges across the stage toward him.
The Italian fighter starts things off by seeing if he can slow his opponent down a bit with a body blow. He lunges forward, attempting to grab Jones by the shoulder with one hand, while bringing his other fist swinging up into the other man's gut. He follows through, trying to lift Mr. Jones off his feet, then toss him down to the floor.

Hm? The music stops? And here he was just getting ready to really boogie! Alas, battle calls and Mr. Jones is only too eager to heed it's call, making the crowd disperse to give both fighters room to engage in their competition.
Swaying still with the rhythm, Jones nods to his opposing fighter and does a polite martial arts bow, hands together as if in prayer before assuming a light Jet Kune Do stance, fingers clenching and unclenching as he prepares to--WOA BABY!
Jones wasn't expecting that kind of speed and he promptly gets punched in the gut and sent flying down to the ground. He's quick on the uptake though and when he realizes he's upside down in mid air, he pushes himself forward to complete the circle and land on his feet rather than on his head. This way he can get a hold of his opponent's arm and Judo throw him forward to return the favor! "HAIII!!"

Jone's acrobatics catch Vulcano off guard, and he's left with an arm extended and ready for the other fighter to take advantage of. Once he feels himself being lifted off his feet, though, he's quick to react. It's too late to stop the attack, but he manages to ride it out by twisting to hit the floor rolling and then spring back to his feet, facing Mr. Jones.
With a quick twist of his neck (watch out, his hair could put someone's eye out), Vulcano ducks in slightly as he pushes in toward Jones, bring his right fist around in a slightly upward angled hook aimed for the other man's jaw.

"That's pretty funky m'man." Jones comments once he manages to throw Vulcano and the man mimics his own technique to break the fall. At the very least that managed to put some distance between the two and he can use this time to gather his bearings...and comb his fro! That tumble messed it up a little and he pulls a comb quickly to get it together, Vulcano isn't the only one here with an outrageous hair style it seems.
Putting the comb away quickly and assuming his Jeet Kune Do fighting stance; Jones sees just in time as his opponent charges once again to try and upper cut him. This time though, he can see the attack coming and Jones brings his elbow down right onto Vulcano's fist trying to crack his knuckles and put that hand out of commission for a bit.

Vulcano attempts to take a quick step back while yanking his arm out of the way, but he's not fast enough to escape Mr. Jones' elbow. He lets out a hiss of pain as it collides with his hand, then finishes stepping back. He flexes his hand a few times, and it looks like nothing is seriously damaged, but by the look on his face it's still not pleasant.
"You've got some good reflexes!" Now Vulcano's going to have to put them to the test. He moves in toward Mr. Jones again, deciding to go with a leg this time. He snaps out a kick aimed at the funky fighter's knee, hoping that perhaps a little pain will serve to slow him down a bit.

"Thanks brotha! You ain't too bad neither." Even after almost breaking a man's hand with an elbow bash, Mr. Jones is all coolness and compliments, it's like fighting the nicest and funkiest guy ever. Of course he's not one to lose his concentration and though he smiles through it he keeps his fighting stance firm and ready for the next attack.
Letting Vulcano get the feeling back on his hand, the dance martial artist starts to back up a little feeling another charge coming and as expected this time his opponent comes in with a kick rather than use the injured fist. Therefore he goes to do the same move and bring his leg for a round house, taking away the target that Vulcano wished to strike and instead sending his rock solid shin right at the back of Vulcano's leg. Of course, the cross counter kick will hurt him too but by swinging position in the other direction it's guaranteed that it'll hurt his foe more.

With one leg still off the ground, Vulcano isn't in a good position to deal with Jones' counter strike. His leg gets hit, hard, and he topples to the floor with a thud. The Italian fighter grunts, pushing himself away from Mr. Jones as he scrambles back to his feet, looking a bit less happy go lucky, but at least not mad. It's hard to stay in a great mood when getting kicked around.
Still, he can manage a bit of a grin. "Well, looks like you're tough enough that I'm going to have to kick things up a notch." And so saying, he draws his right arm across his body, then slashes it in Jones' direction. A wave of energy leaps from his arm and flies forth, the air around it shimmering from the intense, but brief, heat generated.

Mr. Jones rubs his nose and dances back a little to put distance between Vulcano and him again, it seems that he wants to take this fight on continued charges for some reason even though he's a good brawler. His reasoning behind this is likely because it wouldn't be a good show if he causes Vulcano and him to go down on the ground and start wrestling, martial arts fight are far more exciting! "Wuh oh." Of course, he forgets that some people can shoot ki out of their hands and suddenly putting distance between the two doesn't sound like a good idea.
Wellp! He has no defenses against such techniques and thus he has no other choice that to charge head long into that fire attack and take the brunt of it with his forearms. That hurt quite a bit, and his afro is probably smoking now! Just the side effects of being so cool (hot?) though and he never stops his charge, pushing right through the attack to jump at Vulcano with a flurry of /flying/ kicks. "ATATATATATATATATATA!!!"

Vulcano attempts to slip past Mr. Jones, sliding to one side, getting past his legs, and then bringing a fist slamming down while he's helpless in mid-air. Unfortunately, he doesn't get past the 'avoiding being kicked' part. In fact, by moving forward he manages to catch himself a pretty nasty foot to the face, leaving him wide open for the ones that follow.
The Italian staggers back from the flurry of kicks, before finally toppling over backwards, crashing to the floor in a heap. He groans and rolls over, so it looks like he's not out quite yet, but it takes him a few moments before he's actually able to climb back to his feet.
WHACK WHACK WHACK. The rain of kicks lands on Vulcano and Mr. Jones propel himself backwards once his feet collide with something solid, in this case said solid thing being his opponent's face. The martial artist lands on his feet as he watches the Italian fellow fall and roll backwards and takes this time to take in a breath of deep air. Normally he'd let him get back up so they can continue but after that bicycle kick the crowd went absolutely *wild* they want to see more action urging for the attack to continue.
Mr. Jones makes a face and adjusts his shades, the light reflecting on them as if they were shinning. This goes against what he believes on, but he realizes that it's not a street fight and can get away with certain liberties in a sanctioned tournament. "Sorry brotha'" He apologizes first loud enough so Vulcano can hear him and clenches his fists gathering ki of his own. "HUAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!" Releasing a loud war cry, Johnny Jones does a forward flip and goes to land an axe kick on Vulcano's head.

By this point Vulcano has managed to get to his feet, but he's not looking too steady. He's aware enough of his surroundings to see Jones coming in from above, though. He crosses his arms over his head, taking the kick directly on his guard. His footing isn't secure enough, though, and although the blow doesn't manage to break through his guard, it does succeed in driving him to one knee.
When he drops his guard, Vulcano lets his hands fall to the floor, breathing deeply. He still manages to look up and chuckle a bit, though. "No need to apologize. Wouldn't be much of a fight if we were holding back, huh?" And then he tenses both arms, pushing his hands down against the floor hard. There's a flare of energy, and then a pillar of what appears to be brightly glowing lava shoots up out of the ground at an angle, threatening to engulf Mr. Jones. Thankfully, it fades away after just a few moments.

*KRACK* There's the sound of Mr. Jones kick colliding hard against Vulcano's arm, though the impact is hard enough to get Jones back on one feet without fear of losing his balance and falling backwards on his head to injure himself from a simple block. The Jet Kune Do practitioner steps backwards back on his two feet and studies Vulcano's form seeing if he can still keep going... and he gets his answer by a volcano burst coming from the ground to scorch his front side. "YARRG!!"
Jones flies backwards and lands on his back, rolling away to put the fire off from his body. "Yeah...you ain't kiddin'." The man manages to agree with Vulcano despite being scorched now, his yellow jump suit burnt heavily as he struggles to get back to his feet. It looks like a good time to take a breather so why not stand there a little and cool off for just a mite?

Vulcano is looking pretty wobbly, but he grins to see that his opponent isn't looking that great either. Getting hit in the chest by lava will do that to a man. Vulcano pushes himself to his feet with a grunt, waiting until Mr. Jones finishes rolling about on the ground before moving in. It'd be rude to attack him while he was otherwise occupied, but after that, if he doesn't get up fast enough? Well, that's on him.
The Italian runs across the stage toward his opponent, trying to judge just how quickly he's getting up. It wouldn't do to aim improperly for this next attack. Once he's pretty sure, and close enough, Vulcano leaps forward, leading with his right leg for a flying kick. In mid-air energy flares up around his foot, promising to make the impact even more painful than it might otherwise be.

Looks like Jones ain't the only one that can do impressive kicks! His shades flash from the incoming burning kick coming in his direction and it takes almost all of his will power to just put his arms up there to protect his face and get his forearms burned rather than his face! He digs his heels on the ground however, utterly unwilling to fall back on the ground again as he holds on to his defense with Vulcano viciously pushing on his guard.
Then, those shades of his flash again and realizes now it's the time to explode once more. "WASHAAA!!" Jones actually jumps straight up with his foot leading and directs a flying kick directly to the air bound Vulcano's throat.

Vulcano manages to get his left arm in the way of the kick, but it doesn't actually do him too much good. Instead of a foot getting driven into his throat he gets the back of his own hand. The blow also sends him spinning off balance. But as he falls he manages to lash out with his right aim, wildly trying to drive a right hook into any part of Mr. Jones that he can reach. Then he smashes into the floor, hitting his head and ending up flat on his face, with no signs that he's about to get back up.

Mr Jones stays up in the air for more than a few seconds as if defying gravity. It's such an awesome pose with him in mid air kicking Vulcano in the throat despite his defenses after he himself was kicked! Comically enough though a stray right hitting him square in the jaw breaks the cool atmosphere and he spins in the air landing on his had right almost as the same time as Vulcano hits the ground. "Not.....groovy..." He's heard mumbling after the rough landing next to Vulcano.
