Description: They don't call Chun-Li "The World's Strongest Woman" for nothing, but a title like that isn't going to scare off Hayato Nekketsu! Nor will her Legs of Doom. Of course, not being scared and not being kicked viciously are quite different things. Still, Hayato does his best to put up a fight worthy of being shown in Masters Stadium. (Winner: Chun-Li)
SNF. Hayato has had some good times participating in this show, and this isn't his first visit to the Red Arena at Masters Stadium. Still, it's been a while, and the teacher might be just a teensy bit out of practice. Not that he'd ever admit that to anyone! And he certainly looks confident enough as he strides out into the arena with a grin on his face, idly tapping his shinai against his shoulder. Some people might be worried about facing a fighter of Chun-Li's caliber, but Hayato doesn't worry about much.
He takes up his position, rolling his neck a few times and then taking a few slashes at the air with the shinai as he gets himself warmed up. The camera crew are given smiles and friendly nods as the teacher kills some time waiting for the fight to begin.
The noise of the crowd swells as someone makes their way up towards the red arena. Xiang Chun-Li entering at run already mid-apology and hurried. "Apologies for my lateness." she takes a moment to give the camera a quick wave while a couple. Still panting she executes a formal martial arts bow to her opponent, Hayato Nekketsu and smiles as she asks "I hope I haven't kept you waiting long."
Catching her breath with a few sharp inhalations Chun-li seems quickly to have recovered from her belated entrance and shows a pleasant and smiling demeanour to spectators, staff and opponent alike.
Hayato flips his shinai around in his hand, then brings it back to rest on his shoulder before giving Chun-Li a grin. "Nothing to worry about. And I think now we're all about ready to get started. Looking forward to a good fight!" Even now, facing down Chun-Li, Hayato doesn't appear to be too worried. At worst it'll be a chance to really put his skills to the test.
A buzzer sounds to announce final preparations for the fight, and the crew is quick to vacate the area. You never want to be standing too close when a fight between some serious combatants breaks out. And after a few moments longer the signal to begin the fight is given.
Hayato wastes no time, charging forward with a fierce grin on his face. He draws back his shinai, lashing out with a downward slash of the bamboo blade as he draws within range of Chun-Li.

With her smiling manner untransformed Miss Li slips away to the side, the stroke barely missing the white ribbons trailing in her wake, steeping backwards to put more distance between the two of them she has her arms folded behind her and is still smiling as she watches him. "You are very fast." the appraisal both genuine and analyzing. The pleasant and smiling demeanour fades some as excitement begins to build and she brings her hands back up around in front of her into a guarded stance. "Let's give it our all."

Hayato quickly spins about as his slash misses Chun-Li, but she's opened up too much distance between them for him to immediately follow up with another attack. "You're quick yourself! Wouldn't expect anything less." He grins and begins walking toward Chun-Li, but at an angle that leads him to begin circling around her. "And I always give it my all!" With his Burning Spirit Hayato can't really do any less.
That doesn't mean he has to just charge into any situation recklessly, though. He continues circling around Chun-Li for a few moments, but that can't last. And indeed, once he thinks he's spotted an opening he rushes forth, lashing out with a quick shinai strike for the side of his opponent's head.

Raising her forearm Chun-li guard her head from the strike of the Shinai, The flat of her palm stinging from meeting the blow however the movement that had seemed her leaning away from the worst of the blow instead revealing a famous and some would argue dangerous stance. "Hyakuretsu Kyaku!" Stabbing and striking out at her opponent with her upraised leg. High, medium and low strikes delivered in a style like a machine gun salvo.

When his strike is blocked Hayato quickly draws his arm back. A good thing, too, as just a few moments later he needs both arms to defend himself against the rapid series of kicks unleashed in his direction by Chun-Li. The woman's feet smack repeatedly into his arms, leaving him little opportunity to do anything but defend himself and wait for Chun-Li's assault to finish.
Even the World's Strongest Woman can't keep up an attack like that forever, though, and Hayato is ready to move when her leg is finally lowered. He can still feel the effect of those kicks in his arms, but it doesn't keep him from unleashing his own flurry of attacks, lashing out with a series of diagonal slashes across Chun-Li's torso, following it up with a horizontal blow to come in right under the rib cage, then swinging up for a downward slash aimed at the collarbone.

Rather than exhibit disappointment her attacks were blocked instead her smile momentarily brightens. When the Burning Phys-Ed Teacher lashes out with his counter-blow Chun-li contorts her body, swaying like a reed amidst the slashes before the final blow of the attack clashes with an upraised spiked bracelets rather than finally reaching the woman.
Not apparantly resisting the force of the blow the female fighter daintily drops into a crouch, dispersing all of that attacking force gently and then exploding back upward with a kick from her left leg before following through with the motion and spinning into a kick with the right leg.

The lack of the expected impact in response to his blows throws Hayato a bit off balance. Under other circumstances it might not be much, but when it comes to holding his ground against Chun-Li it causes a problem. The first kick leaves him wide open, allowing the second one to catch him in the ribcage and send him staggering off to one side. He manages to regain his balance after a few precarious moments, but it's a close thing.
Hayato spins himself back around to face Chun-Li, and despite the pain in his side he's still grinning. "Well, looks like this is going to take some real effort. Don't think you need to go easy on me, though, I'm just getting warmed up!" The teacher slams his right fist into the palm of his left hand, and a blazing orange aura surrounds his body, causing his jacket to flutter about him.

Chun-li nods solemnly and like the high school teacher burning intensity she also seems to be feeling the urge to cut loose. Instead of doing so however her eyes dift closed and she slows her breathing calming and centring herself for the match. While one fighter explodes with intensity the other calms and composes themselves. The brief lull in the fighting working up the crowds who vocally cheer on their favourites for the match.
Opening her eyes once again Chun-li has gotten rid of that excitement and haste, Exhibiting the traits of a master rather than her impulsiveness as a fighter.

Having gotten himself even more pumped up, it isn't long before Hayato is ready to rush back into the fray. He takes a few charging steps, kicking up sand behind him, and then leaps into the air toward Chun-Li. The teacher leads with his right leg, trying to crash a flying kick into Chun-Li's torso. But he doesn't stop there. If he should successfully achieve impact he attempts to kick off, then flip around and lash out with a kick from his left leg before pushing off to land in a crouch.

Eyes flicker back and forth as she searches for the point of attack behind that veil of sand. Hayato leaping into a flying kick she raises both of her hands catching the foot and staring at the sole of the phy-ed teachers sneaker just a foot from her face. As he vaults off her open palms and strikes out again she shifts the position of her hands to absorb the blow and pushes against that foot to gain the momentum necessary to hop backwards as he lands neatly.
Before her heels have ever finished digging into the sand and her momentum stopped the blue white light with flecks of gold begins to form between her hands, in a quick process the attack is built and Chun-li levers her body back and then hurls her upper torso forward, bent at the waist as she fires her “Kikouken!”

Well, it's somewhat better than simply flying right past Chun-Li and crashing down on his back. At least Hayato is able to land on his feet. Unfortunately, he lands with Chun-Li perfectly ready to deal with him. The phys ed teacher figures out what's going to happen and tries to get moving, but he isn't able to react in time. The chi blast strikes him dead on, bowling him over.
After a moment Hayato is able to drag himself to his feet, with a brief shake of his head. His grin hasn't faltered, though! He brushes off some sand with a chuckle. "You really are pretty good, but I'm not down just yet!" And then he lunges for Chun-Li, lashing out with his shinai in another quick strike aimed at her head.

Chun-li allows herself to smile again and winks playfully "Only pretty good?" she moves form a straight upright standing position, fist on hips seemingly amused rather than offended. Weaving through a swaying pattern or movement of arms and torso back into her guarded stance "I must be losing my touch."
As the two fighters clash again she interposes her arm between the shinai and the side of her head, white ribbons rippling with the proximity of the strike. Chuni-Li focused entirely on the proximity of the bamboo lathe sword to her head. "You're 'pretty good' Yourself." she says only seemingly to be half teasing. Paralleling the attack made on her her own leg and white laced boot strikes out at his head.

Going head on in a contest of kicks with Chun-Li is probably not a good idea. But good judgement is not one of the traits Hayato is known for. Besides, he's taller than her, he's got longer legs. Surely that counts for something?
Maybe, but apparently not much. Chun-Li's leg lashes out, and at the same time Hayato leans back to thrust forward his own leg, blazing chi surrounding his foot as it seeks to make impact. Unfortunately, he's left with his foot hanging there in mid-air, and Chun-Li's boot in his face. That situation doesn't last for long, though, as the teacher falls over backwards, hitting the ground with a grunt. "Oof. Okay, 'very good'."
Chun-li leans towards and over Hayato, the smile from earlier in the match returning as well as the small beads of sweat from the intensity of the fight glistening in the sunlight. She speaks quietly between just those two fighters vehement;y "Its not over yet, Its never over until we've given our all." she proffers a hand in a comradely fashion and gives him an impish grin. The crowd themselves vocal in calling for the fight to continue.

Hayato accepts the offerend hand in the spirit of friendly competition, allowing himself to be helped up. Not that he needs it! Although it's certainly helpful at the moment. He's feel a little bit woozy. "Oh, don't worry. I keep fighting as long as I can keep moving!" He takes a few steps back, not wanting to take advantage of Chun-Li helping him up to get a hit in.
Once he's stepped back enough to be fair, though, it doesn't take long before Hayato rushes back in. He leaps toward Chun-Li, raising his shinai over his head and launching himself toward her. He kicks off the ground, starting a spinning motion, and when the orange chi swarms voer the wooden blade it becomes a blazing blur as the teacher spins toward his opponent.
Nodding along with Hayatos words she watches him back away quite certain he would be the kind of man to do so. As he raises his shinai overhead she raises one of her knees assuming the dangerous position form which she had launched the Hyakuretsu Kyaku earlier in the match. As he launches himself forwards she tenses up and unleashes her own rushing kick, meeting his charge with her own. Eyes focused on her target and undeterred by the blazing weapon she answers her own desire to challenge the spirit of the Burning Phys-ed teacher with a screamed "Huuuaa!"

Hayato feels himself impact with something, and that's good. Until a split second later when it becomes clear that the 'something' is Chun-Li's foot, and it's not being pushed back by his assault... it's plowing right through it. A moment later his arms are knocked aside and he flies head-first into the oncoming kick.
Taking one of Chun-Li's kicks to the head is bad at the best of times, but when you're already pretty battered and you just flung yourself right into it, well, chances are you're going to be seeing stars. Hayato drops like a rock, falling face down to the ground. He manages to push himself up for a moment, but his eyes seem to be having trouble focusing. "Now that... was a kick." And then he falls back down flat.
