The Fall Of Thailand - Stars in Storm's Wake

Description: Three fourths of the Shooting Stars make their landing in Thailand, and immediately find themselves thrust into the thick of things. Their first mission seems fairly simple: ensure the safety of fleeing refugees until they disembark and move on at the next checkpoint. Everything appears to be fine until a Shadaloo agent climbs aboard.

Thailand, obviously, is a very large place, it's difficult to tell right away what's going on in where, but the team of Arika, Drake, and Eva are about to find themselves at the right place at the right time. One of the cities is anticipating being under seige, the military forces are ready to defend, but the order is to evacuate immedietly. There's only two ships available at the port, and the trio just happened to deport from the second that has pulled in.

As one could imagine, there is all sorts of chaos going on, people are shoving, crying, and just making a huge mess out of what was supposed to be an organized and calm escape. The three's mission isn't to deal with that, however, they'll have to go right on over to the first ship which is ready to deport, the soldiers fighting to keep the masses from overloading the ship. The path is clear for them, however.

Well, who could tell what they're -really- getting themselves into? Drake can't really speak for his teammates, but this is really the first time he's done anything this crazy. But sometimes crazy things just have to work. Just look at the crazy people throughout history who've succeeded: George Washington, Shakespeare, Socrates, Carrot Top... and please believe, society at large is scratching its collective head over what must have driven each and every one of them.

In the case of the Shooting Stars and its leader, Drake Vyril, the motivation is nothing more than the need to do what's right. That's why he's here. And this he has to keep reminding himself the entire way. It seemed a pretty good idea to weasel onto a sea-vessel. That all but infiltrates Thailand's deeper reaches -for- them. The only complication is that it's going to be landing right in the thick of things.

Well, no time like the present, right?

Drake moves clear of the boarding ramp connecting the second ship to land, and he lifts his left hand to wave towards the two-fourths of the Shooting Stars that are present and accounted for, signalling them to move in closer to him. "C'mon! It looks like the military's doing most of the work here for us, so let's just get moving!," he shouts over the hustle and bustle. "Easy-peasy!"

And with that, Drake starts across the conveniently clear path at a jog. The military -does- seem to have things in hand.. in a way.. but he keeps his eyes peeled for anything that needs some direct intervention. Otherwise, it's deeper into Thailand for his crew. No need to defend a fully evacuated city, after all.

Bangkok! Oriental setting, but the city don't know what the city is getting! The creme de la creme of the chess world in a show with everything but...

Since hearing that the Shooting Stars were involving themselves out this way, the poor punk rock princess has been unable to ditch the Murray Head song. It's haunted her during the flight, their time on the ship. Even now that they've disembarked and she's thrust into the center of literal chaos, she can't help going over the lyrics again and again in her head.

At least she's stopped humming it.

With the words of their fearless leader, Arika glances to him and nods before looking at the cleared path. Just like Moses' parting of the Red Sea. Though she's following behind Drake, her eyes are continually looking from side to side. Wary of anything that might be out of the ordinary (not that she knows exactly what -is- ordinary here, but she's sure something must be up if everyone is evacuating).

As to reasoning, her own is fairly simple. To show a united front within the team and to help those innocent people that have been forced into the war. While they may not be having to worry too much about the evacuees, when she spots a tiny little girl standing in the middle of the chaos and whimpering for her mother, she swoops in. It's not as though she's got a soft spot for children, but if the kid stood there much longer she would have been trampled. Setting out to find the mother is an easy task. There's a flailing woman not too far away and from the girl's arms reaching out in that direction, she's returned in no time at all.

Only then does she take her place to the side of Drake again, looking almost more like a bodyguard than a fighter at the moment.

.... Eva seems oddly prepared for someone who has never been to a jungle before. The first thing is that her head is covered by a green hankerchief, a few curly dark tendrils of hair spilling out from underneath. Dressed not in her uniform but a somewhat tattered green army jacket that seems a little too big for her, black tank top, camo pants that seem to entirely held up by a tight belt around her waist and tucked into her boots. Her padded leggings and shoes are still there, as is her locket, albiet put on a longer chain so that it falls underneath the top of her black shirt. All in all, she'd consider it to be not too shabby, for someone who couldn't get to an army surplus store. A camping backpack sits on her back, filled to the brim with various items that one could need in a swarmy jungle: tons of high spf sun screen, canteens of water, dried food, heavy-duty bug spray... well, let's just say it's a heavy load. But Eva seems to be taking it in good spirits.

Yeah, there's paper, pencils and some miscellaneous things in there for her, but nothing heavy. And a small cheap mp3 player, which Eva's stocked full of music. ... Nothing by a certain band that Arika's been humming, however. More like... all of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons. A bit of Bach, some Mozart. Chopin, Debussy. Whatever she could fit on there to the very last byte of storage.

Looking on beside Drake at Arika takes care of the child, she gives her a silent smile and a nod of thanks. "Should we wait until everyone's boarded on there before going? It shouldn't be that long."

One of the soldiers, a fairly tall gentleman is waiting for the three to arrive, and he doesn't have to wait much longer. Pretty much all the guards have their hands full trying to deal with crowd control so while it may go unnoticed under the militarys eyes, the mother, as well as some of the panicing citizens are touched enough by the gesture of Arika to calm down a little. Unfortunatly, it's just ten of possible thousands, but little by little, right?
Anyway back to the tall gentleman, he hears what Eva says, and gives the three a salute, "No need," he replies, "This ship is already fully boarded and ready to go. This ship will be heading north, but seven miles into the gulf another ship will cross to head south. You can transfer onto that if you want to go further south.. The way security is now, you're not going to be able to leave here on foot, sorry." the man gives an apologetic frown, "We'll be departing the moment you set foot on deck so please hurry."
The first boat isn't quite as extravegant as the first, it's sturdy, and suprisingly big, probably able to hold more than 500 people. Unfortunatly the sight on deck is even gloomier than down below, one can tell right away this thing was primarily made for short trolleying. And the trip is going to be crossing the entire gulf. The civilians have been encouraged to move below deck and to only go above if feeling sick, so there's only fifteen people or so standing about, and already getting sick before even deporting.

Drake catches sight of Arika's brief diversion, and he smiles lightly at her. Can't notice everything, right? He skids to a halt in front of the taller man, hand setting to his hip in an almost automatic casual poise. Models. Feh.

"I understand," Drake says, tone calm and collected, but voice elevated enough just to be heard over the clamour. "That sounds like a plan. Thanks for the heads-up and the help." His head turns to either side, regarding the females flanking him. "The transfer's our best bet, and I doubt we'll have the time to spare trying to do the two-step around ground patrols. So let's get movin'."

Drake nods stoutly to the taller man and flashes a grateful smile before turning to hurry up the boarding ramp and onto the boat's deck. Not precisely a luxury cruise, he muses, but it'll get them where they need to be. But just for the sake of not catching some exotic illness, Drake keeps a fair distance from the sick native passengers already aboard. Wouldn't do to try and help people if he falls ill, now would it?

Little by little; it all adds up in the end. With her good deed for the moment done, Arika just listens to the tall gentleman, keeping her mouth firmly shut. The less said, the better. Chalk it up to her lack of trust in the human race in general, but while the miliary man looks as though he's one of the 'good guys' there's no -real- way of telling that for sure, except by actions. For all she knows, the boat their meant to be boarding is being set up to sink during the crossing and just what are they going to do to help five hundred people then?

Deep blue eyes scan the rather decrepit vessel for life boats.

A very imperceptible nod is offered to Drake as he scurries up the boarding ramp. Before she sets off to follow him, she turns to Eva and quietly says, "'ope you thought to bring a first aid kit with you, mate." Once she makes it to the top, she glances at one of the sick passengers and reaches into her own pack. Extracting a box of peppermint and ginger tea, she gives him instructions on how to brew it to keep his stomach settled, and offers the box to him after snagging two bags to slip back into her pack. She's not so much worried about catching sea sickness as she is having something decent to drink if they become stranded.

After this detour, she once more returns to Drake's side and falls silent.

"... Thank you, sir." The tall girl clasps her hands in front of her and bows. "I wish you luck." Flashing those light eyes up at the man, she then turns around to run off to join the other two, quickly catching up with them.

Eva does not share the same distrust of individuals as Arika, just one of the militaries as a whole. An individual soldier to her is still a person, albiet one who is possibly biased towards the army's goals. Whether or not these beliefs will be challenged during this journey is hard to say, but, for now, Eva simply follows Arika and Drake, sometimes taking a moment to shift the backpack's straps around her arms.

Boarding the deck, Eva doesn't take off her pack immediately. "Drake, Arika. If you reach into the pocket on the right, there's some more sunscreen." Ah, the joys of being light-skinned. She's not sure if Drake or Arika burn as easily as she does, but she's not about to find that out. As for first aid kits... "I did. Plenty for the whole group and then some. Need anything right now?"

None of the three should really be able to see anything suspicious, but there's so much chaos going on that it's difficult to tell what's what anyway. The soldier gives another salute to the three, and just gives this -look- to his partner. They're mildly familiar with the rep they've somewhat built up during Saturday Night Fights, and well.. The trio really don't look like the heroic types. Actually they look pretty weird, but help's help, so no one can really be picky, right? Bottom line was, in his mind they couldn't make things any -worse-, ".. The guy there's the leader. I thought he'd be home getting a manicure or something," he mumbles under his breath once he's sure the others are out of earshot.
Just as said, the ship departs, the walkerway is drawn back, and with a toot of the whistle they're setting out to sea.

There are some lifesavers and a couple of lifeboats. If the boat were to sink there were plenty of floaters but not nearly enough for everyone aboard- It can't be helped. But any thoughts of this boat being sent out to sink should be pushed away once the sick that Arika tends to, no older than eight, boasts that the evacuation was 'his daddy's idea, and that's why he's governor', but is quickly silenced by his much older guardian whom nudges him with her elbow and thanks Arika for the tea. They're supposed to be incognito, see.
There isn't much time to rest though, just two minutes into the ride, there's already something happening. One of the sick looks puzzled as he peers over the railing and suddenly his neck is clutched and he's flung overboard, so that the black-haired woman can make her way onto the deck without any more trouble, "Tch, what a pain," she growls to herself, clad in a maroon bodysuit and is absolutly dripping wet, face hidden behind her dark do.

Drake isn't afraid of catching sea-sickness. Really, that's not contagious! But who can tell whether it's sea-sickness or some other virus? Drake is cautious in some things, he is. It's not that he doesn't care. Quite the contrary to that, actually. It's just that there's not really anything he can do for those present.

Drake's eyes affix to Eva, then shift to her backpack. The amethyst eyes return to Eva lastly, gloved fists setting to his hips as he gives her -the look-. "This ain't a pleasure cruise, Missy. We're here to save people, not work on our tans." Pause. Grin. "And with my quota of 'overbearing, surly leader jive' out've the way for today, lemme have at that sunscreen."

But alas, poor Drake is doomed to wait for protection against the malicious sun's spacerays. For as he reaches towards Eva's pack, there's a very noticable splash not far from him. The model whirls around to find a female climbing onboard, and a man who was once there, missing. He leans over the railing quickly to spot the still-disturbed water and shouts, "Man overboard!"

First impulse is to jump in after him. But that wouldn't be terribly smart, seeing as he's one of the more qualified fighters on board. This chick has obviously forced herself on board, and therefore cannot be trusted. So instead, he tosses out a lifesaver to the man in the water, but then focuses his attention on the woman. Hopefully the civilians can help with the man overboard. "What gives?!," Drake demands, taking a couple steps closer to the female. "Who're you, and what are you doing?!"

"Nah, mate," the blonde-haired Brit offers to Eva as she catches up. "Just wanted to make sure we 'ad more'n wot I thought ta bring with me is all." Arika's back -does- look considerably lighter than Eva's. Either the diva didn't want to have too much weight upon her back, or she really didn't have time to gather many supplies before they started this journey.

Apparently though, there's not much time for idle banter. See why it's a great idea to always be alert to things going on? As soon as she spies the puzzled look on the man's face, the diva is already moving across the deck to see what's troubling him.

Only... he disappears.

Expecting he just fell overboard, the punk rock princess opens her mouth to call for a life preserver to be thrown overboard, but Drake gets to it first, allowing her the opportunity to stop dead in her tracks and give an odd look to the short, dark-haired woman wearing a soaking wet bodysuit who's graciously taking the man's place.

"Knew somethin' was up," Arika mutters under her breath. The cord around her hand is given a little twist and she pops her neck to the side. See, in her mind? A 'good' person wouldn't exactly be throwing innocent civilians over the edge of a boat just to get up on board. Not with the second boat still loading. Slipping off to the side of the woman in order to flank her, she waits while Drake asks his questions; doubting he'll get an answer and preparing herself to throw a punch if the woman is less than forthcoming with her response.

...... The problem is, the joke, until Drake admits to it, goes over Eva's head. Her face falls as she scrambles tries to explain herself. "It's... really not meant for tanning. I mean, this is the stuff I use, and... it's to make sure you don't have to worry about sunb-" She stops herself as Drake grins, laughing nervously. "... Oh, oh. Right." It was a joke! Damn it, Drake, don't pull her leg like that! "Yes, I'll get some out for both of you Some of the passengers might need some too, especially if they're up her-" She glances over at a sick male passenger perking up at the idea of that, and says, "Or... maybe a little later, when we're out at sea."

Unfortunately, before she's able to allow Drake to grab some sunscreen, Eva notices the boarding woman and quickly frees herself of the backpack, shifting over with a confidence and cautious nature unlike the social awkward persona she showed earlier. Taking care of the side opposite from Arika, she shifts into position, miming Arika's decision to allow Drake to speak.

Douyoubi wrings out her hair, letting the water puddle under her feet. And while Drake is suddenly yelling at her, well.. She can't say it wasn't expected. What is suprising, though, is that when she brushes her hair aside enough for a single eye to look over the trio, they're nore Thailand natives at all! "... Eh?"
"I'm Douyoubi," she answers. Her tone is slightly baritone and raspy, fitting for her 'madwoman' image. The woman slumps forward, arms dangling beneath her as she eyes Drake, and tilts her head just slightly to the left, "I'm here to kill the captain and hold the ship hostage. Aren't you three a little late for MTV Spring Break? .. Or more importantly."

The man overboard is able to grab the lifesaver. One of the guards in the lower level manages to grab a lifevest and dive after. "... What are you going to do about it? I'm not in the mood to play today."

Drake glances to his female teammates and nods curtly to them, concurring with their decisive formation around the female. Flanked, she'll have nowhere else to go but back into the water.

"Douyoubi. Nice name. For a treasure troll," remarks Drake blandly. "And apparently our timing's impeccable, wouldn't you say?"

When she admits her intentions, Drake's curiosity is laid to rest. There will be a fight here. A glance is shot to his teammates, giving them a silent, but grave look. When his eyes return to the invader, he shifts into his fighting stance. Right foot forward, weight settled mostly on his left foot in a shallow backstance. Left hand is chambered at chest level, fingers spreading at the ready for a catch or grapple. His right arm rests at an angle before his body, hand tapered flat at the ready.

"Fancy that. The Shooting Stars didn't come to Thailand for fun'n games, either. Be proud - you'll be the first thing we rip through out here."

A smirk touches to Drake's features. He suddenly dashes towards Douyoubi, hands chambering at his sides. The moment he enters strike range, he dips low into a forward stance, hands thrusting out in a double palmheel strike aimed for her torso.

"The name's Domino!"

The moment his arms are fully extended, his hands ignite in a bright, dazzling flash of white concussive energy.

"AND DON'T YOU FORGET IT!"

It would seem that Arika doesn't care too much for the chit-chat, and really doesn't want to bother around mucking up a pronunciation of name for someone who she's not intending on meeting again after this. Likewise, why bother offering her own name up and letting whoever she works for have that extra information in helping to track them down while they're trying to do the right thing?

But it looks like Drake is just giving her all of the information she needs... and then some.

A strained look is given to 'Domino' and the diva just shakes her head slowly. What happened to wanting to do things 'under cover'? Guess that concept was blown right out of the water. Noting the smirk on his face though, she immediately steps into action.

From the side where she was standing she takes a step a little closer to Douyoubi. A smirk graces her own features the moment she swings an arm out and tries to grasp the woman by the throat. If she manages this particular action, she's got every intention of crushing the woman's windpipe while twisting in behind her and continually applying pressure; adding to it by ramming her knee into Douyoubi's back.

"I'm not all that much into MTV. Besides, why are you speaking for me? I don't look like a reject off a spy movie." The serious, slightly naive persona is back, but it's now being played as a card in Eva's deck, rather than her acting naturally. Yes, she knows what Douyoubi is talking about, and she knows that she's being annoying. Being overbearing and talkative, however, may make her opponent get angry and keep her attention off the other two. "As for your mission, I'm afraid you have the displeasure of fighting us first, whether you feel we are worthy or not." Taking off her coat and wrapping it around her waist, Eva continues, "If you are not pleased, you are welcome to jump overboard and wait for another boat. So..."

"Let us help you dive overboard." With that, Eva attempts to feint a punch at Douyoubi's face, but it's not really meant to connect directly with the woman's face. Since Eva's on the opposite side of Arika, she's instead attempting to make Douyoubi slide into someone's attack- most likely Arika's, whether by distraction or by Douyoubi dodging away.

"Pah," Douyoubi responds, quite possibly the answer to all three fighters comments. However upon closer inspection, the woman realizes that there are more to these three than they appear. "The Shooting -what-?" is the other one. As Domino approaches with the palm strike, her bloodshot eye narrows just slightly, her hands snapping upward and slaps to 'catch' the attack in a rather unusual high-five. Arika's grasp for her throat doesn't go unnoticed, even with Eva trying to distract her. She simply drops to the floor in a crouch, and her pale lips curl slightly, ".. Are you children so eager to die? You don't even know these people. And I'd be much more satisfied throwing you gnats overboard instead! .. Well except for 'Domino', he'll make a fun cabana boy."
And as she says all of this, she slaps her hands on the ground and in a blink of an eye, five illusions of herself project behind her. They leap back to cross paths, and then three of them step forward; the real one of course is hoping to catch Drake in reverse headlock if he's fooled and hoist him into the air as if going for a suplex! But three seconds later would instead just let go to let him drop on his head.

Domino's hands are... intercepted. How very odd. That doesn't happen too often. Especially with that forceful attack. It warrants a break from his cocky expression, but it doesn't last long. As the images of the target female appear, Domino quickly raises back to his full height and stance, preparing himself.

Something about her comment just clues him in. Tells him to expect attention. The headlock begins, but Domino makes a display of wrestling expertise and twists himself free of it before the move can be put in full effect. The movement carries him over to her back, whereupon his right arm attempts to catch her in a reverse headlock in return. Though no suplex attempt is made, the right arm tightens along her throat to begin choking her out, and his left arm attempts to hook with her left arm to restrain it back. On top of hopefully rendering her helpless, this -should- make her torso a much easier target for his teammates to strike.

"You'll have to staunch that thought right there, tootse. This is the most fun you'll be getting with me," chides Domino. "And we may not know these people personally, but we know they didn't do anything to deserve -this- kind'a treatment."

Cabana boy? Arika's eye twitches slightly at that and she turns to face the woman, even though she escaped the choke hold. The twitchy eye narrows slightly, and she tries to determine which of the women is the true one.

Once one of them focuses upon Drake, she knows to make her move. Keeping her eyes on what Domino is doing, she rushes in for the torso that is conveniently about to be set up as a target. Her right hand chambers into a fist and comes in from the left side of the woman in a quick jab aimed at her jaw. The left hand remains open-palmed and follows through almost concurrently with the right; a palmheel strike to the aforementioned available torso. Bright energy begins to gather around the left hand just before the projected point of impact; violet in hue and becoming increasingly brighter as it draws closer.

Even Eva realizes, whether she is from Shadaloo or some other organization, this woman learning about their particular team name may be compromising their low key nature. "Don't worry. It really isn't important," she replies. "We're just here to help the refugees and nothing more. Besides, if you feel that these people are so worthless, why are you even on this ship? Can't you target much more elaborate ships to add to your collection?" It *is* rather suspect... maybe it has to do with the official on board?

Cabana boy? ... Eva makes a weird face at that. "... I believe I'll allow Domino to be a judge of how far he wants to go with you." As the woman attacks Drake, the look disappears to something much more serious, and she holds back out of range until Drake locks in on the woman. "I usually don't attack when an opponent's like this, but you do not deserve such mercy." Waiting until Arika finishes, Eva comes in with a simpler attack, throwing her foot, toes pointed outward, straight at the woman's torso like a blunt knife.

Hmn that was unexpected, Douyoubi didn't realize that one of the fighters was a grappler, that could most certainly make things annoying. Her first priority, then, is to keep from getting drawn into his hold, but she's not quite lucky enough to slip from it, a light gurgling passing her lips as she squirms. She barely has time to see Arika coming at her, and but isn't quite in the position to defend herself as well as she'd like; the girls palm strikes hit hard and strong, and yet somehow she's able to throw up her guard, one leg snapping up and drawing inward, then kicks upward to deflect Eva's own kick.
This same motion allows her to flips up into the air, over Drake, and slip free from his attack at last, dropping into her slouched stance once more, ".. Hm hmm," first she responds to Eva, "You don't know? There are some important people aboard here. Some this wretched city would easily surrender themselves to once things are under my control.. Things are suddenly getting interesting now, I thought I was going to be bored!"
But whom to strike? Douyoubi seems to decide on Arika, this time, slipping forward and attempts to grab her by the ankle and pull it out from under her. Should she be successful, she's twirl around once and throw the girl a bit down the deck, idealling into one of the bystanders, "Fine, let's play~"

Domino cinches the hold tightly on Douyoubi, trying to end things then and there. But the female proves to be a bit more agile than he first suspected, and she simply flips right out of his grasp. He whirls around to continue facing her, stance assumed once again. And that cocky smirk has returned to his features.

"We aim to please," Domino quips to her.

His eyes follow her and her movements as she closes in on Arika, and Domino moves in quickly to intervene. Though he can't close in fast enough to stop the attack from commencing, he's prepared to attempt another grapple with her the moment she's finished. Conveniently behind her back this time, he attempts to simply scoop her up into his arms, almost like a cradled position, back aligned with the deck of the boat. If caught, he forcefully drops to a knelt position and smashes her back over his upturned knee before releasing her again.

"You wanna play b--" Arika catches herself, remembering the poor, sick little boy she aided earlier. Minding her language isn't her only worry though, since apparently the 'important' people this woman is after is the boys father.

That cinches it for her. The woman has -got- to go.

Sorely distracted by these thoughts, Douyoubi is able to snag her footing and knock her to the deck. Crashing upon it with a small thud, the diva finds herself being twirled around. However, she's not about to let herself go sprawling against a 'passenger' and as she's released, she rolls herself into a ball and twists herself toward the side.

"Fine. Playtime is -over-," Arika states as she kips back up to her feet and circles around the woman again. Coming in from the side, she sends in a somewhat slow hook punch to the side of her head. The punch is purposefully slow in the hopes of causing a distraction. As soon as the hook punch is drawn back, her left hand swings up toward Douyoubi's jaw, trying to catch it with the heel of her palm and intending to spring her upward and send her closer to the edge of the vessel.

Grapplers and savateurs and boxer/wrestlers, oh my! "... I'm afraid it wasn't on our list of important things to know," Eva remarks, grasping the foot that hit up against Douyoubi's own leg. "Remember, we know nothing about the people we're protecting, correct? But that does not matter. You have better things to worry about- I'm afraid you'll be solely disappointed if you want to be entertained."

Yes, Eva's talking, but she's doing it while everyone else attacks. She wants Douyoubi to keep talking, to keep yaking. It's hard to launch an attack and talk back at the same time without devoting more energy to one energy or the other.

After Arika's attack is sprung upon the invader, Eva shuts up and follows through with her own attack, wrapping her jacket around her hands and attempting to whip it around Douyoubi's head. This is then followed by a roundkick to the abdomen, flicking the old army jacket off the henchwoman's head as Eva attempts to keep pushing her back against the railing, whether or not Arika's attack succeeded.

"Hmmmm ha ha ha ha!!!" Douyoubi laughs, though it's cut short when Arika manages to stop herself from hurting anyone else. She visably pouts, ".. Aww."
First comes Drake; he's already right up her alley and so this time around she's easily slipping away while she keeps an eye on the punk rock diva. She crouches and springs up into the air, landing on Drakes shoulders in mid-grab and leaps off again to contfront the other two. Her hand just barely misses catching Arika's swing unfortunatly and she ends up getting popped in a double combo, the jacket attack and the pop right to the jaw, since she can't quite defend against that either.
She claws at the jacket as she slams against the ships rail, and seems to again manage to free herself at the last moment- But now she hops up onto the railing and then leaps off of it, flipping over one of her three opponents, "Hmn, you three are pretty crazy, then.. Seems like we have something in common." Now it's Eva's turn to take an attack, she tumbles toward Eva, a light, violet glow surrounding her form, and then once she's close? that glow explodes, it behaving like an electrical current. If it touches the schoolgirl, well.. It'll be shocking at least emotionally!

Domino catches only air, then finds himself serving as a footstool for the madwoman. The gets an agitated growl out of the wrestler, and his arms swing upwards in an attempt to grab her again. Though before he can get a lock on her, she's off him again. It's not a total loss, however, as his teammates seem to go to town on her.

"Heh. Losing your step?," goades the Star leader. "Why don't you give up? Promise interrogation won't leave any lasting scars."

Though now she's attacking again, and Domino moves aside to keep on target with her. This time, though? No grapple attempt. She seems too nimble for a complex submission hold or somesuch just yet. So instead, he closes in at her side and throws a swift ridgehand strike from the right, aimed to collide with her collar, followed by a firm uppercut delivered from his left hand, striking for her cheek. Indeed, he's switched from full-on wrestling to Tae Kwan Do handstrikes.

Sidestepping quickly as the attack hits, the punk rock princess moves out of Domino's way. Smirking, she lunges toward the woman again, but sees a tumbled ball of energy person instead.

Heh. Nice choice of color.

But it looks like Eva is in a little bit of trouble if the current of energy manages to hit her. "'eads up," she calls to the younger girl, hoping to grab her attention but not distract her.

Gaze shifting over to Domino as he comes in from the right, she chambers her left leg and prepares to swing in with a kick from the left side of Douyoubi. Bending her knee slightly she cocks it back a little and then sends the outer edge of her foot toward the woman's head. Not the nicest of moves, but the punk rock princess isn't exactly here to be nice -all- of the time.

Nice try, Arika, but Douyoubi proves herself to be too quick for Eva to dodge or even successfully block. In fact, she only has a chance to realize the attack is coming before being soundly hit by the glowing henchwoman. Crying out as the violet current hits her, Eva's face then scrunches up in intense pain as she's in turn knocked up against a wall of the staircase leading down into the ship.

As her body halfway collapses, the tall girl grits her teeth and wills herself to straighten back up, leaping back into the fray without a single word, her eyes narrow in a cold gaze at the woman. No more playing around. "Let's see if you can take that back," she finally says, rushing forward to flick the coat in Douyoubi's face, only to follow through with a punch.

The black-haired womans shoulders buckle., but this time her laugh isn't completely audible. It's true, she wasn't going to last much longer at this rate, she underestimated the trio. On the other hand, she's also deduced that the three aren't worth getting the rest of the Days for, even if it is a bit much for herself. But she isn't going anywhere without leaving a few more gifts behind. Satisfied with the assault on Eva, the crouched woman is free for a moment to look to the others over her shoulder. She simple collapses limply to the floor, Arika's kick barely grazing the top of the womans head, and then springs back up off the floor in an attempt to escape away from Eva's strike as well- But no such luck!
"Rrgh!" That coat is pretty annoying, Douyou though swiping it away would be enough, but it only leaves her open for the jarring punch that follows, sending her into the direction of Drake in the off-balance.
Douyou's bloodshot eye flashes, she slowly extends the pointer finger of her left hand as she whispers, "Suffer," and the moment his strike slams firm into her face, the touch is more than enough. Drake finds himself completely emersed within violet psycho-energy, a slight drain within himself as his mind is for just a couple of seconds flooded with a sudden experience, the experience of the ship suddenly tearing in half and in flames, screams filling the air as the passengers within are thrown out to sea, with his teammates absolutly nowhere to be seen.
And then the images fades, Douyoubi sliding across the floor once more, but rolls back into her crouched position.

Psycho power. Not something Domino is terribly familiar with. So when she demands in a less-than-polite way for him to be uncomfortable, he thinks nothing of it. But immediately following his strike, he can do nothing -but- think.

"AAAAGH!"

The cry is barely anything anyone would normally even think could come from someone as refined as Domino. It's a sound that's equal parts torture and confusion, leaving the stunned and disoriented model to stagger back from the henchie. His hands grasp at his head, eyes squezed shut tightly, teeth clenched. It isn't but only a few steps before he loses his balance and topples to his knees. Still clutching his head, Domino doubles over a bit, breathing coming out in shuddered semi-whimpers.

Though it begins to clear, at that. Beginning to. His hands loosen, and his eyes crack open, looking a bit moistened. He really doesn't feel he has the energy to move yet after a shattering experience like that. His right hand falls from his head, palm setting to the deck.

What -was- that?

Domino knows he needs to get back up to help his teammates... but he just can't. Not yet. If he got back up, he knows he'd just fall back down again. So there he remains, backed off from the ongoing fight, left hand still set over his head, vacant, distant gaze directed towards the combatants... just trying to clear his head and calm himself back down.

COMBATSYS: Drake drops his guard to recover.

Time stops as the cry comes from Drake. The punk rock princess blanches, and quickly tries to determine just why a jarring energy punch like that has him in so much pain. As he begins to topple, she drops her guard and forgets about their opponent for a minute.

Some things are just more important than crazed henchme-- er... henchwomen.

Drake just happens to be one of those things to Arika; her heart shattering just a little at his pained cry.

Crouching beside her fallen comrade, she gently places her hand upon his shoulder; giving it an affectionate squeeze. Since she's far enough away from the others, the accent drops and her voice becomes softer. "Drake? Darling? Are you alright?" A worried expression graces her face, tears welling up in her eyes. "Please be alright?" Her lips quickly find his cheek, giving him a quick, reassuring kiss before she wipes at her eyes.

Her initial assessment was right.

Bitch needs to be put down.

After realizing that Drake is going to be fine, the diva leaps up to her feet and rushes toward Douyoubi. Drawing closer she literally -throws- herself into a violent looking pirouette, drawing her right leg up vertically. The leg is rotated to the side and lifted on an upward angle before the foot is snapped roughly as she takes aim for the woman's face.

The scream ties painful knots in Eva's stomach as well. Looking at Arika as she goes to check on the downed fighter, Eva sidesteps over to guard the two, motioning at the woman with a fist. "... Please tell me," she murmurs, her voice cracking in intensity as she focuses on Douyoubi, "... what the *fuck* you just did to my friend back there."

For better or worse, Eva can cuss too. You just need to hit her teammates in the right way.

".... Maybe it doesn't matter. You're going down for this." The proper language is dropped like water off a duck's back now. "It's hard to find friends like that, you know, and I don't take such low tactics lightly." Seeing as Arika has gotten back up, she comments, "I don't think my friend here appreciates this either." Allowing Arika to go first, Eva waits for an opening before she rushes in after her, raising her knee up and charging the lifted foot with light blue chi, matching the mad icey glint in her eye as she lets to go foward in a sequence of three piston kick. One is delivered towards the foot, the next goes to the abdomen, and the last goes to the chin, each following regardless of which manage to strike.

God. Wow.
There is just no way that could have gotten any more dramatic, that's beautiful. But to Douyoubi it's beautiful in a different way, she's not really a sadist, but in this case she wanted to teach all these crazy teenagers just exactly what they were getting themselves into, one at a time. She slowly gets to her feet, shoulders buckling, and then goes into a riot of laughter, leaning backward as she does so, "HAAAAAAAAAA HA HA HA HA HAAAA!!"
Poor Drake is completely confused, his teammates are utterly pissed, but more preferably to the not-Doll, frightened. Frightened that something permanent may have happened and that is the emotion that makes the woman work at her best. Her bloodshot eye stares first at Arika, "I don't think so, little Prima Donna, I can take care of -two- brats!"

And, well.. She proves it. Slumped over she looks perfectly open, but she hops off at the last possible moment, dodging Eva's first kick, the back of her hand slapping away Arika's first kick as well. She then 'seperates' into three psycho images, Eva's kick to the abdomen whipping right through the image, and the last kick aimed for the correct Douyoubi is met with another backhand, redirecting the attack elsewhere.

"But now it isn't so interesting anymore," Curling up, she rolls backward again, leaps and flips to stand on the ships rail edge again, grinning like a psycho, "Don't worry it isn't anything permanent.. All I showed him is what's going to happen if you stay on this ship tomorrow. Good little boys and girls should stay at home watching 'Pimp my Ride' or whatever the hell it is you watch these days! You're no match for Shadaloo!"
And with that she crosses her hands over her chest and plummets backward, cackling until she hits the waters below.

Domino is... rattled. Unable to really react to much of anything just yet. But he's recovering. Slowly, but surely. Nothing Arika says to him really registers, not even the kiss to the cheek. The amethyst eyes simply turn aside to regard her, then shift forward again.

Except Domino's coming to when his teammates launch their attacks. For as little good as it seems to do them, unfortunately. He gives his head one final shake before raising up to his full height.

"Oh, -that- is -it-..," Domino growls under his breath. "Don't know what the heck you did to me, but it's over!"

Domino's hands pull back, starting to gather large amounts of energy about his hands. The right hand becomes enveloped in a sparkling white energy, and the black becomes enshrouded in a shimmering black energy.

Preparation for the Domino Helix.

But just before he can bring the attack to its full, Douyoubi has... abandoned ship. "GET BACK UP HERE, COWARD!," he demands, rushing to the edge of the ship to peer over the railing. By this point, the chi energy has begun to spread over his arms and along his shoulders, starting to create a sort of black and white aura. The seething model clenches his fists over the railing as he searches the waters for his target. ...But alas. None to be found.

Prima donna, first lady of the stage....

Oh if only.

Arika has aspirations, but at the moment they've got absolutely nothing to do with her stage career and absolutely -everything- to do with throwing herself over the edge of the ship to continue whittling away at the Shadaloo henchman. Feet climb up onto the railed edge and she peers down at the water below before prepping herself to leap off the ship.

Drake is back on his feet by then, and ruses to the railing. The anger in his voice is enough to draw her back, even if there wasn't a large man in military garb there to do it for him. Flailing about in his arms and muttering something about being manhandled, the punk rock princesses finds her feet firmly on the deck once more and sighs.

Nothing like letting prey get away in such a manner.

No time to focus on that though since she's got a Domino to care for. Sidling over to him, her arm goes to wrap about his shoulders though she's attempting not to interfere with the energy he's built up. "We'll get her next time, Drake." And yes. She's positive there -will- be a next time. Especially if what the woman said is the truth. Looks like getting this ship across safely -is- actually going to be a bit of a chore and not so much of an 'easy' pleasure cruise.

The infuriating part is not that Eva managed to goof up that last attack. It's the fact that Douyoubi continues to make her out to be some disgusting sort of amateur, more enamoured with watching the TV than anything meaningful. "If you feel that you're bored," Eva begins, frowning. "You're welcome to leave. The ocean is to your back. We can do this again, and you no longer have the element of surprise."

With that sort of warning, it'd be better to prepare than to putt-putt around here with Douyoubi. Eva turns away, trying to swallow her pride. The other two can go ballistic, but someone has to play the part of the thinker. The planner. But what could she think up?

Allowing the two to try to fish out Douyoubi, she waits a while before daring to speak, her voice clear and unwavering. "..... She's retreating. That's all we can ask for. However, when she returns, she may come with backup. She probably knows that we would have eventually outlasted her, and we'd better assume she'll come with a way to make whatever Drake saw true. We need to figure out a way to protect this ship." Her voice sounds strong, but her fists quiver. Fear, anger, pain. They all set there in her stomach, making whatever she ate feel like battery acid. "Arika. Drake...." She finally looks over at the two. ".... You two are going to be okay, right? Especially you, Drake. Whatever she did to me back there *hurt*, but it was probably nothing compared to what she did to you."

If she came back, it looks like she'd just have to make do with Shadaloo grunts, there were more officials the ship would have to come back for after all. But maybe she'll be lucky and they'll run home?

Domino glares down at the water, eyes burning with resolve. Unfortunately for Arika, that 'aura' that's started forming around Drake is one of a concussive nature. That is, when she touches it, it gives a sharp snap and discharges. Nowhere near the same power and force as the Domino Helix, but it's still likely to hurt. It also takes away the two-toned energy flowing unchecked over him.

"Hmh," Domino half snorts. "Wimp."

But then Eva steps up behind him and begins speaking. He quickly whirls around to face her, expression fairly skewed. "-Outlasted-!?," he demands. "She was outmatched! She ran because she saw just how hopeless it was to keep fighting. One lucky, cheap shot doesn't decide a fight. Especially when dealing with the likes of us." His arms fold tightly over his chest, frown setting to his features. "I'm fine now. I'll be okay. It was more disorienting than anything." He thinks, anyway. There was pain in there, too... but it's mostly a blurr now. "And I'm all for staying with the passengers to make sure they get where they're going. There isn't much else three people can do to fortify a boat other than take on whatever opposition they throw at us. Just this time we'll be expecting'em."

Domino pauses a moment to exhale a sigh. "You two did well. Should get rest for now, though. While she's off licking her wounds."

Already on unsteady footing due to the movement of the ship, the discharge of energy knocks the punk rock princess against the edge and she makes a quieted pained noise. Reaching across her chest, she rubs at the arm that took the brunt of the jolt; teeth nipping into the right corner of her lower lip.

Doesn't matter. Her pain will go away shortly, but whatever happened to Drake did -something-. Something she's not entirely certain of and it leaves her in a semi-worried state and she forces herself to be on her guard once more.

Listening to Drake, she moves to stand beside him again and shakes her head. "You two rest. I'll take first watch. She barely touched me at all..." Which also has her a little worried, however she's chalking it up to just being in the right place to avoid being targeted.

Setting her hand to Drake's shoulder once more she gives him a sidelong glance and sighs. Arika will have to stop herself from worrying about him so much if this is the kind of thing they're liable to be facing. Might wind up putting them both in danger if she's not careful. Looking past him at Eva she presses her lips together and sighs. "Befor' you 'ead off to rest, mate, think you can take one'a your first aid kits and check to make sure no one was 'urt?" They all moved swiftly enough to avoid any innocents being injured, but that poor man who went flying overboard might need a wee bit of help.

Eva furrows her brow as Drake rebukes her comment. ".... I... didn't mean it that way... Just that... whatever she did, she'd lose. But, yeah." She rubs the back of her neck nervously. "Sorry. I didn't mean badly by that. She definitely would have gone down if it weren't for that... strange purple energy. That couldn't have been chi."

"You sure, Arika?" The latter request, however, is something she can handle. Taking out a small first aid kit, Eva hands it over to Arika. "It may be good to check yourself and Drake over before either of you go anywhere. The way that lady fought... I think it may be good to prepare ourselves mentally as well as physically. I'll go check the others."

Hint, hint. Eva *knows* something is going on. While a lot of it was missed during the battle, Arika's actions are making it very clear about something Eva never noticed before: Arika obviously cares for Drake. However, the nature and extent of that bond is still not certain to Eva. However, it may be good for the two to talk. This next battle may be hard on all of them.

COMBATSYS: Eva has ended the fight here.
