The Fall Of Thailand - Sagat Ambushed!

Description: While in Thailand during Vega's take over, Sagat is confronted by a couple of Vega's weapons!

So this is war torn Thailand? The forces of Shadaloo have played their hand. Other powers in the area, such as Malaysia, are threatening military intervention. The forces opposing the Shadaloo aggressors do not seem to be winning any battles. A rebellion is forming. Who was among the first to join against Shadaloo? Why Shadaloo's former second in command. Sagat, Thailand's own hometown hero, is fighting the good fight. He has made it to Nongua Lamphu, a town a decent enough distance away from the main fighting in Bangkok. The Thai Tiger is as incognito as his monsterous physique will allow him as he hides out in an old storage facility meditating.

Wartorn indeed. While 'civilized' Thailand resides under a simple iron fist, the outlying regions or those cities that refuse to surrender are quickly dealt with in typical Vega fashion. They are crushed. News out is spartan, but Shadaloo's conventional military is soon dwarfed by tails of mechanized monsters, the likes of which the world had not seen before. Some would say they're twelve foot tall, and shoot beams of fire. Some insist they're invisible, nearly silent, and that the only warning is gunfire. Still others say that even the strongest fighters cannot dent them... of course, the strongest fighters haven't come forth to face them down yet, now have they?
No doubt that's about what Sagat would figure, but he might not count on the sheer truth to at least SOME of the gossip. Scylla and Charybdis arrive by air, circumventing any guards the town might have set up, drawn by the sense of their quarry. On some radar screens, a blip like a meditating Sagat is hard to miss. The dark green, legged warmech is airlifted in, and swiftly. Of course, the first warning Sagat gets is a wide section of roof blasting suddenly downwards, as if punched aside by something incredibly heavy, bulky, and, well... dropped from the sky. There's a huge crash as the debris hit the floor but... nothing aside from that rubble.
... wait. In the dusty air, a ripple, a shimmer.. the outline of... something. Sagat might want to squint, but either way the blurry image darts aside, disappearing again behind a stockpile of supplies, with only the slightest of rustlings to tell of its passage. Or maybe it was a delusion of noise and bad roofing?

With this kind of weaponry, really the job is just all too easy. While Scylla was dropped right in the 'middle of the fray', it's 'partner', the dull-silver Charybis was dropped off just a little further away. It's reasoning was simply to try and catch Sagat by suprise with Scylla while itself makes a much more abrupt approach after the fact- But even sneaky attacks, while confusing, may not be enough to really push a major advantage over the Thai Tiger. The crashing sound is fairly distant, but definatly audible even mixed with the crash-in of the roof.. It'd only be thirty seconds or so before it reached the storage facility on top of that. Really, it was a great hiding spot for Sagat to choose, but there are some people you just can't hide from, it'd seem.

The surprise of it all. The sudden change from serenity to chaos. These are all things that sagat has learned to transition to almost flawlessly. Only days ago was he a member of the conquering terrorist group. He has flawlessly transitioned from Vega's Lieutenant to Vega's hated prey. It was only a matter of time before people tracked him down again. Sagat took the free time that he had to center himself. He took the time to try and train his mind and work on the things both Kain and Grant told him that he should work on. Control the hate. Channel it. Do not let it consume you to the point that it weakens you and makes you less of a warrior than you were when you hosted the World Warrior Tournament. The crashing through the roof instantly jolts Sagat into the here and now. His single eye narrows as he quickly slides backwards to avoid the falling debris. He thinks he sees movement but he's unable to focus on the shimmer that he must have seen. Sagat says nothing... simply sweeping his gaze around the debris and dust filled room around him. He's looking for the cause of this disruption!

CRACK! One of the crates buckles a bit, and lurches forward, as if struck from behind. Which, in fact, it was! Its contents, in this case a whole lot of grain, begins to rush out onto the floor. The cause? There's another shimmer, another rustle... that dulled sense of distant footsteps, the quiet whirr of well-oiled gears. The 'shimmer' is clearly more than man-sized, but then so is Sagat. It can't match his height, but there's certainly a fair bit of displaced space affected by that mild, psychadelic rippling. Of course, that still makes it next to impossible to really -make out- his hunter, as Scylla half-scampers, half-slides aside to crouch low amidst a large collection of heavy, filled sacks and building supplies. Her orders are clear! Keep Sagat squinting at the opposite end of the warehouse until Charybdis busts in the other side. The highly mobile warmech just maintains its low profile, relying on the sudden motion and clatter to buy just a few more moments...

Hopefully the plan would work! So far so good though, heavy turreted machine is moving as fast as it can.. Which in all honesty is pretty fast for such a heavy machine. The powerful machines entrance is suprisingly abrupt as well, no earthly tremors and roar of an engine to give away it's presence entirely.
And as planned, half a minute later the machine comes tearing through the wall of the warehouse, the ground underneath it cracking and splintering and leaving tracks as if it were just a car driving through snow. Unfortunatly, however, he's further away from Sagat than anticipated, on top of that the moment the 'fire' button is hit, it.. Doesn't respond. Confused by this, the pilot simply will have to take up a plan B, and that is running Sagat's ass over, until he figures out what the problem is. Of course, this involves closing in the distance to do even -that-.

The Mighty Thai Tiger does indeed keep squinting, as his hidden tormentor intends for him to do. This stratagy is new to Sagat... as the other Elites are more direct and Vega's footsoldiers? Oh their terribly two-dimensional. So what's happening now? I wouldn't refer to it as refreshing, but it's definately different! Sagat's gaze drifts from the fallen crate and then the cascading grains. The shimmering of this seemingly less than visible assailant would definately become more prominant due to the dust being kicked up from the grain. Sagat will begin to step backwards... attempting to keep his distance from where he thought he saw the less than corporeal movement. Further investigations are interrupted as Sagat gets another guest? Or perhaps this is the same one? Sagat doesn't know. The shimmering could simply have been the dust. The big thing crashing in now? Possibly the culprit! The Thai Tiger spins around to face the visible threat. He reaches down and hefts up the top of a fallen crate. The threatening advance is all Sagat needs to answer a few questions; Primarily, Why is this thing here? The top of the crate is hurled towards the advancing machine-thing. All those moving parts? Perhaps the top will get jammed somewhere!

Aha! The reinforcements have arrived. It's enough to bring a slow smile to the face of Scylla's rather devious pilot. The second - or first, rather - warmech remains right where it is! Crouched, cloaked, and focusing all of its targetting equipment on Sagat. Normally, one might get the spike of chi when hurt was being prepared... but in the case of scout tank supreme one and two, well. Let's just say Sagat's instincts are going to help him more than his veteran's senses, here. Perhaps all this soul-searching has them hyped to new levels!
The coloured lenses on Scylla's armored fore silently whirr to various spectrums and analyses... it's very nice of Scylla to sit back and take notes, isn't it, Charybdis?

COMBATSYS: Scylla focuses on her next action.

Charybdis don't give a damn what Scylla is doing right now! It's pilot is still trying to figure out why it's weaponry isn't working! And left with only a few seconds more to figure out why thanks to the noted crate flying it's way, things aren't looking too good at first. Thank god he's inside this machine though, because the pilot has seen the things Sagat can do, and this makes him feel.. Safer. Much safer. On the other hand, if the weapons aren't wo- Oh, the safety.
The moment the lock is undone, the main cannon releases such an explosive round at the last moment, it colliding with the crate and blasts the thing to small pieces that fly everywhere, and of course harmlessly off the silver-coated plate of Charybdis, "... Damn. The guy can really throw a crate, huh?" the pilot mutters to himself, "I guess sticking with the conventional weaponry is out."

The crate has been hurled and well.. blown out of the sky by the war machine. Sagat's eye widens in surprise for but a moment. Sagat hasn't been attacked by something like this before. Where did Vega hide this thing anyways? The Muay Thai Tiger starts to move again... deciding that he needs to stay on the move if this thing is hurling this kinda firepower! Of course the Thai Tiger decides that staying on the move needs to be closer to this war machine! If its lobbing explosives, being close to it should keep it from lobbing more. That is unless it doesn't mind harming itself in the blast! Sagat grits his teeth and attempts to make Kain and Grant's teachings into something functional for a change. He attempts to harness his well known rage, in an effort to make his technique an even stronger weapon! Sagat leaps into the air and careens through it towards Charybdis. The Thai Legend twists his body below his waist and sends his powerful leg towards one of the machine's side or arm. Let's see what this thing is made out of!

Vrrrr! The sound of releasing energy fluctuating isn't as pronounced as it is on, say, Star Trek... but Scylla decloaks in a flash as Sagat launches himself into the air. THAT should have enough force! If one calculates the radius and forces properly, it... ah, hell, the targetting reticle is lit up and flashing ALLL purdy-like, by now, and the solutions are all secondary. Scylla's trigger isn't jammed, and the large cylindrical hatch on the top of its quad-legged, tri-armed sectional frame whirrs open. Pop! A silver, glowy ball is launched up and out, sailing across the warehouse and landing with a tink.tink.tink on the floor behind Sagat. A second, and a third join it, even as the first crackles with subtle energy and begins rolling exhuberantly right at Sagat. The trio of tracking bombs, chasing like lemmings on crank, bounce and hurtle a short path, though they won't explode until that final, furtive bounce in at the Thai Titan.

Sounds like Sagat either a) wasn't completely trusted by Vega, or b) jumped ship perhaps a little too early. Either way, it didn't seem like he was going to get any answers until the vehicles of war were demolished! And Chary's pilot would much rather not be 'interrogated' by Sagat. It'd be better for him not to focus on that, after all, it wasn't just himself, but Scylla as well, there's no way they'd lose!

There's not much an armored vehicle can do when targeted by a kick from the massive fighter; the arm is hit, but the damage appears to be minumal, there's a loud clank and that's about all. The tank also doesn't seem to be making any effort to try to be getting out of the way of the orbs bouncing toward the duo either, in fact while it stays in place, the targeted arm shifts to point at Sagat, and with a deep humm, the palm opens and proceeds to try to suck the man into its grip. Should Charybdis manage to do that, Sagat is then pointed, and fired, ideally right into his partners attack.

What occurs now is a series of unfortunate events. First off, Sagat is sucked into the mechanized beast's grasp by its Vacuum Crusher. Despite Sagat's best efforts, he gets grasped and then shot backwards. Now this in and of itself isn't so unfortunate. What's more unfortunate is that a second war machine materializes and is firing smart bombs at him. So Sagat getting shot by the Vacuum Crusher sends him directly into the smart bombs. They explode against Sagat and send the Thai Mountain careen forward towards Charybdis once more. Sagat gets tossed around by a rag doll, if you can believe it. The Mighty Thai Legend's effort to focus himself like Kain and Grant have told him doesn't seem to work as well as he had hoped. No matter... one mustn't give up. Sagat gets back to his feet, staying erect in a kneeling position. Sagat swivels his head back and forth to look between to the two warmachines. This is definately a less than ideal situation to be in. Sagat will just have to show these things who they are messing with. Sagat growls out, "TIGER!" as he suddenly thrusts his arms in front of him. They are directed towards Charybdis again and after the thrust a crescent wave of energy is hurled through the air and towards his mechanized assailant.

Oh! It's just like in the simulation! That level of... well, blind luck and cohesion is definitely appreciated by the formerly-cloaked tank's pilot, and the four-legged mecha quickly trundles aside, strafing right /through/ a shelving unit to a clear patch of flooring. One with still-intact roof, and a support beam above it! Scylla leaps straight upwards with surprising agility, the powerful 'toes' on each foot clamping into the wood with spiderlike precision. The tank's main body rotates slightly, and all three arms are brought to bear. It's the cannister barrels resting atop the twin, smaller miniguns on the right and left appendages that blast forth bursts of smoke, and two cylindrical grenades. These, much like the smartbombs, make a pleasant enough metallic sound clanking across the ground, to explode into a choking cloud of greenish vapors at his feet. It's enough tear gas to fill most of the area, even in such a large building, at least for an uncomfortable few moments. Let's see how good Sagat is at holding his breath, and fighting blurry vision! AHA!!
... alright, so it's not exactly a legendary threat. Nonetheless, the versatile and surprising weapons of war are clearly a surprise. Somewhere, Vega smiles.

Inexperience will do that to a man, though on the other hand, who would have thought that two tank-like weapons would be so.. Resiliant? Well hopefully the element of suprise won't wear off until the battles end and the 'lesson' is completed but one thing is for sure. The pilot has a big-assed grin on his face now, "Haha, yeah you're not so tough now, are you, you big ape?" he cackles. Though one might think that if there was a chance Sagat could hear him, he wouldn't have said anything at all. BUT THAT'S BESIDES THE POINT.
And so then, the tankette takes it upon itself to back off a little bit so that it's defenses can draw up again, but Sagat isn't going to be so kind as to allow that without a chi-wrapped gift. 'Tiger!' the cry of one of the most feared attacks in the fighting world, is met with just a snort from the cock pilot. The gun-arm whirrs, clicks, and then releases a volley of ammo, the blasting sound echoing off the walls of the base, and there's simply no doubt that such an assault could easily off trained soldiers. However against a Tiger Shot, the case is different, it wears down the blast of chi, yes, but there's plenty left to slam into the weapon and make it rattle, and apparently very briefly put it out of commission.

The Tiger Shot did its thing, slamming against the tank. And the Tear Gas from Scylla? Oh it does its thing! Sagat twisted around just in time to see the projectile heading his way. He had enough time to raise his arms up and attempt to bat the thing down. However batting it down does little to actually get rid of the escaping tear gas! The cloud of smoke gets into Sagat's nasal passageways, causes tears to well up in his eye and begin to tighten up the Thai Mountain's throat. However Sagat is well accustomed to absorbing pain and fighting through such things. And fight through it he does! Sagat rushes forward and attempts to get out of the cloud of tear gas. His trajectory? Charybdis! With the Tiger Shot disorienting it or its pilot, Sagat tries to gain some sort of advantage. He will rush the mechanical monster and reach out for it with his hands. A less than Muay Thai move is made if he can get a grasp of a mechanical limb. Sagat will wrench and jerk to the side as hard as he can... attempting to capsize and slam the tank onto its side.

WHRRRRRRR!!!!
There's a certain, serene beauty for the first instants it takes a 20mm, eight-barrelled, brand spanking new 1,000-lb minigun to spin up. Of course, after those instants?
There's just chaos, gunfire that all sounds like one, ear-ringing report that never seems to end for long, long moments. The minigun hoisted on the entire third 'arm' below the minitank's main chassis breathes fire as sophisticated systems seek to track the Thai Titan's motions. It's not the most precise of assaults, and so the flanking (which is to say on the ceiling) position serves Scylla well. The high caliber rounds rip the hell out of the floor, sending chunks of wood and soil flying every which way, blasting apart supplies in rampant fashion, and of course, sweeping a quick arc that should include Sagat's broad frame rather thoroughly.
It keeps Charybdis (mostly) out of the way, and a ricochet or two, that armor can take! The pilot lets out a riotous, cackling laughter as her knuckles squeeze stark white on the trigger, guiding the gun towards its target in a perforating hailstorm of many, many, many hundreds of rounds.

It's no suprise that Sagat is trying to adapt a slightly different style against the weapons of terror, it's just unfortunate for him he doesn't have -time- to guess incorrectly. Sure, at the moment he's putting up an amazing fight, but is he going to be the most dangerous when he's at the end of his rope?
That doesn't mean Sagat's attack was fully expected, however. The arm is grabbed, and the pilot utters, "What the hell?" and it is jerked, the big thing teetering on its left treads, and to make things even more confusing, said treads curl into an upside-down 'v', making it jump a couple of feet into the air and crash onto the ground in a fully upright position with some wild weight shifting. The rounds from Scylla aren't all of Sagat's troubles now, though, ripping forward again, the claw arm reaches out toward Sagat, it's body seeming to ignore most of the ricochet as predicted, and tries to clamp it's 'hand' about Sagat's waist. Should it manage to do it, the big man is hoisted into the air, twisted upside down, and then driven right back down onto the floor.

Things are going pretty bad for the Muay Thai Legend. He's not used to fighting these machines and the sheer fact that there are two of them to wear him down, that's just compounding the problem. The Thai Fighter turns to catch a glimpse at what the other machine, Scylla, is doing. As he does... his arms are thrown up into the air. The heavy chain gun's rounds slam into the big man's defenses. Lesser men would be torn apart by the barrage. Sagat being who he is and how strong he is... can obviously weather more firepower than what Scylla threw at him. Unfortunately for Sagat, Chary isn't throwing firepower. Chary's lifting him up and slamming him hard into the ground. Sagat grunts and groans upon hitting the ground... but amazingly he's back into a kneeling position within moments. The veteran warrior and former Emperor of Muay Thai has a look of determination on his face. A gutteral growl escapes the massive man's mouth as he springs upwards, "TI-GER BLOW!" is screamed. Sagat is targetting Charybdis still... sending his body upwards in a rocketing uppercut!

Scylla's large minigun stops spraying ammo out every which way after the deafening barrage. Hmm. Sagat IS remarkably resilient, but then, they were warned about that, weren't they? Really, Scylla's rather violence addicted pilot thought the BIG rotary would be enough to chunk up the Thai legend into portable bits, but clearly, that is not to be! The barrels smoke well after the gun ends its stream of fire, and a spray of coolant sizzles loud across the spinning metal.
The agile warmech releases the slowly splintering ceiling support with a cracking sound, and drops nimbly, landing hard on rather impressive, air-cushioned limbs. There's a rush of air as the stealthed tank backs a steady path away from the other two combatants, flanking around to keep from firing at Charybdis beyond the mountainous kickboxer. Oh, and those other two, smaller chainguns? They're spinning too. Ports open, targetting systems aline, and a suped-up supercooling system gets ready to try to keep all the barrels from overheating.....

Charybdis gets it's defenses chipped.. or rather not so much chipped than broken as Sagat lands a tremendous blow on the tank, when Sagat crouches so low, it's actually out of the pilots view, and then? WHUNK. CLANK. CLANK.
And the roar of Sagat follows the brutal uppercut, the shakes and rattles the death machine. Does it send Chary soaring into the air? Well, in a way, perhaps not much more than a few feet, but it does twirl in the air trice, slamming down hard onto its wheels and faces the complete opposite direction of Sagat.
There's silence and then a loud *BANG* as smoke suddenly starts spewing from the treads, "Augh! DAMN!" the pilot yells as the alarms start buzzing. It takes a moment to get things back in full control, but now the pilot is relying on the radar to pinpoint Sagats position, the grappling arm shifts outward, seeking out the massive man, and with a low bang, a large blade is fired from its palm. It isn't looking to impale Sagat, however, somehow the hunk of metal, with a slender wire attatched to it shoots pasts the fighter, then turns a wide arc to wrap itself twice about the man. And shortly after? A strong electric jolt is blasted into that wire until he manages to break free!

It's hard for Sagat to tell when his blows do damage against these machines. Usually there's a tell-tale snap. Or the soft flesh or bone that he strikes gives way a lot easier than if Sagat hit the raised defenses of his opponent. However fighting something made of metal and alloys, it's a little different. A significant dent forming? Or perhaps nothing short of actually puncturing the armor of the machine is a tell tale sign? After the machine lands from the blow, Sagat will start to move. The other machine hasn't fired at him and that disturbs him. He wants to put Chary between him and Scylla... so as to keep the other one from shooting at him further. His attempt to circle around Charybdis is hindered when the wire wraps around him. The electrical jolt forces a shout of anger from the Mighty Thai, but it doesn't slow him down. He keeps pumping his legs and trying to get Chary between Scylla and himself. He suddenly skids to a stop and snaps his head to look at the mecha. He growls, "TIGER-" and suddenly launches forward through the air. A Tiger Crush is performed towards Charybdis. When he lands he shouts even louder, "GENO-CIDE!" And he launches into a pair of powerful Tiger Uppercuts!

"Shit! The Mountain Gorilla's figured it out!" The unheard-but-daring radio chatter continues when Sagat rushes to ruin Scylla's firing solution. ... and put the hurt on Charybdis, by the look of it, "Ohcrap here it comes!"
The sensors are scaling off the charts... showing everything Vega saw in Sagat, and perhaps then some. What is a deranged, terroristic soldier to do?
Scylla does as trained, and ordered! Two triggers are squeezed, and the 'light' gatling cannons on the warmech's arms begin spewing out high velocity shells a mile a minute. The spent casings clatter endlessly on the floor, and rather than perfecting the ultimate trajectory to pelt Sagat with further punishment, Scylla settles for strafing the entire /side of the warehouse./ Supplies are destroyed, the far wall is shattered... somewhere off in the distance, a native screams in pain. And still the bullets keep coming, muzzleflash building in intensity, as Scylla begins to stalk forward. Obviously, the walking scout tank's purpose is not particularly gentle.

Charybdis's pilot gives another smug grin. His tank is clearly the tank of all tanks. It is good at tanking. One might say a little -too- good. As displayed in just a few moments. Sagat doesn't seem to be too hurt, and that's mildly unsettling, but even that mountain can't stand forever, and the mech has plenty of ammo to spare.
And then comes trouble.
Uppercut after might uppercut is slammed into the silver machine, each blow making a loud, perhaps satisfying clank, but with the machine moving backward, perhaps it's taking some of the punch out of those devestating blows. Again though, while it isn't going flying away, Charybdis does show signs of further damage, albeit delayed. The tankette trembles, and with two more massive explosions, black smoke starts to pour out of the tanks main cannon, the opposite wheels and the opening within the grappling arms palm. The warning sirens get louder, "Shut up, shut up!" the pilot yells, starting to sweat bullets here. It was all or nothing now, and now the silver tank takes a moment to stop firing while the engine hums, the rumbling growing gradually louder as it stands in place.

COMBATSYS: Charybdis focuses on his next action.

Those blows can level any number of lesser fighters. At least lesser compared to the mighty Sagat. The Muay Thai Legend's blows are apparently still not enough to bring down this tank that has felt it necessary to disturb his meditation and planning. Sagat lands and is met by a hail of suppression fire from the other tank. Oh yea... there's a second rather pristine looking tank to fight! Sagat's body absorbs some of the bullets... they mostly just bounce off his well chiseled body. Suffice it to say though, they still cause the Thai Mountain pain. He staggers backwards... attempting to do what he failed to do before. That is get the damaged tank between he and Scylla. Slow breaths are made by Sagat. He's trying to collect himself. He's trying to focus himself. He's trying to channel the rising anger and rage within him just as Kain and Grant have said to do.

COMBATSYS: Sagat gathers his will.

Jets of liquid coolant blast out of the tank's chassis and arms, showering the spinning miniguns with further sizzle and steamy evaporation from the sudden change in temperature. The barrels, however, don't stop spraying lead, this time. Charybdis may be well and truly in the line of fire, but their quarry must be dropped!
Flashing rounds fire off in a dazzling display as the riddled side of the warehouse falls away, timbers from the roof falling hither and yon. ... not the biggest threat to the Thai Titan, or the durable scout tanks, but it's certainly quite the image. Whatever defenses the town may have had, Charybdis and this dramatic display are quickly quelling.
... that, or perhaps the sound of Shadaloo's /main/ forces that reached the sentries the other tank didn't barrel through, "YEA! YEA! BURN!!!!" Scylla's pilot screams into her headset, fingers clenching and unclenching the gun triggers in a rapid staccato of alternating minigun bursts. Maybe it's just bleeding Sagat in bits and pieces, but hey!
... Scylla is helping! ... even if it did stick Charybdis with all the aggro.

The pilot within Charybdis cringe to his partners yell. Yeah, it'd figure the one not getting torn up would be getting the most excited. On the other hand, the performance should boost pretty much anyones moral, right? It seems for the moment Sagat has lain off of attacking the sputtering and smoking tank, giving Charybdis a moment to get itself togeather and continue on with the assault; but there isn't much left at this point either, is there? "Bah, screw this," he mutters, the engine roaring and then it tears forward, making a beeline straight toward Sagat. It's going to attempt to just slam into/roll over Sagat amidst all the chaos, all or nothing!

COMBATSYS: Sagat blocks Scylla's Strong Shot.

I guess we can blame it on Sagat's immense size? He can't seem to get Charybdis between himself and Scylla. The results? Sagat has to raise his arms to try and deflect the rounds being lobbed at him again. His arms drop and what is Sagat greeted with? Oh the sight of a charging Charybdis! The Mighty Thai Warrior is getting sluggish due to fatigue and the sheer fact he keeps getting shot! However the big man is still more than capable of reacting to the charging tank. As it comes at Sagat, Sagat simply bends his legs and braces himself. When in striking range, Sagat does something incredibly risky. He shouts, "TI-GER UPP-ER-CUT!" And launches forwards and upwards. He slams himself and his fist into the incoming Charybdis. When Sagat lands, it's in a crouch... trying to make himself less of a target upon landing. However much good that'll do.

Oh... oh jeez! Scylla's targetting can barely track that, as Sagat goes rocketing upwards, with Charybdis practically in tow. The gunfire ebbs, and the gatling cannons whirr down, as the pilot frantically presses buttons, seeking to relock her massive target. We -could- just keep strafing the building, but for the moment that option is eschewed in favor of a tactical retreat, the weaponry once more brought to bear as the warmech paces away steadily, if a bit hesitantly, flanking back around towards the now open-air side of the warehouse. Everywhere the stocks smoulder, are buried, or otherwise corrupted.
... Vega really does destroy just with his will! And tanks, sometimes, "Oh man. Bug out, bug out." Easily swayed, this one! Or maybe she just knows what happens if Charybdis loses that ride. Plus, the stealthier scout tank... still has a lot of ammo left. Believe it or not.

COMBATSYS: Scylla gathers her will.

Charybdis looks like for a moment he's just going to completely MOW OVER Sagat. Maybe the pilot was getting too cocky, maybe he knew what he was getting into and the ends justified the means. But either way, Sagats counter-attack went completely unexpected. Brushing the smoke from his face, the pilot sees Sagat, and then he's gone again, "..... Oh shi-"
There's the tell-tale sound of fist hitting metal, and there's a massive rattling from within. As Sagat shoots upward with the massive attack, there's another tremendous bang, and the upper half of the tank is completely ripped off, wires and chips sparking and popping, and the heavy chunk of metal whips into the air, spins and starts spiralling toward Scylla like a smoking meteor.

The heavily clothed pilot sits within the sparking mess with an astonished expression on his face, and with a shriek jumps out of his seat to scramble out- But doesn't quite make it out in time when the heavily armored thing just explodes from the inside, completeld incinerating the pilot and melting the entire shell from the inside.

COMBATSYS: Charybdis can no longer fight.

The Mighty Thai Warrior remains in his kneeling position after his attack. He observes the aftermath of his Tiger Uppercut against the Charybdis machine. His eye narrows at the explosion. The pilot's fate? The Thai man doesn't care at the moment. He has a second tank to deal with and he's in a horrible position to deal with it. The Muay Thai Tiger just continues to kneel there. He's controlling his breathing, controlling the feelings of pain that cascade throughout his body, and he's controlling the pent up anger and rage that has rooted itself inside Sagat. As he sits there he just attempts to find a center... a calm... so that he can then quickly plan out his next move against the tank that's been shooting at him throughout this whole encounter.

COMBATSYS: Sagat gains composure.

"Oh SHIT!" Scylla's volatile pilot escalates as her partner in world domination explodes into little, explosive, expensive bits. The shrapnelstorm is avoided only through sheer twitch reflex, abandoning the target acquisition and simply LEAPING backwards, crashing through the not exactly fortified wall, out into the street itself.
At that point? All /hell/ breaks loose. Several explosive cannister rounds are lobbed while the triple gatling guns are still spinning up, grenades going off rather haphazardly, fired back into the warehouse in pairs... as the bullets begin flying. Three gatling cannons, two types of ammo, and the literal demolition of the entire storehouse. These are simple goals, punctuated by a fervent, "DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE!!!" .... one's comrade's death in the field can do strange things to a mind, especially one not exactly 'together' to begin with. Scylla just keeps firing, unloading /everything/ into the storehouse in a strafing pattern, looking to literally saturate the titan with fire... or at least drop the building on him.

COMBATSYS: Scylla successfully hits Sagat with Incendiary Hailstorm.

What can Sagat do against that? Really? Psychotic tank pilot's partner goes up in flames... psychotic tank pilot freaks out and pumps firey pain into every nook and cranny of Sagat's hideout. The Veteran is too hurt and too tired to really do anything other than absorb the impacts from the tank. The attack is a painful one and one that finally topples the Thai Giant. Sagat does not have far to fall... as he simply falls backwards from his kneeling position. The shots propel him backwards a few feet... but he eventually lays there quite prone.

COMBATSYS: Sagat takes no action.

Ending Summary: After being blasted by the Scylla, Sagat is lost within the rubble of the quickly disintegrating building that was his hideout. Scylla searches quickly through the rubble but it seems Sagat managed to crawl out and make his escape. Soon after the rest of Shadaloo's troops entered this tiny Rebel strong hold and took it over.
