Metro City Under Siege - Striking Prison Base

Description: With the gathered rebels, Jiro, along with Ken, Shingo, Natsu, and Kim Jae Hoon made an attempt to free the hostages from their captives from Rolento. But because of the last attack, the base has been refortified to where the defenses are even stronger.

The aftermath of the assault on Rolento's prison blockades has been anything if pristine. The main Asylum is shattered and broken, still smoking. Much of it has been shattered to the ground. Many high-ranking police and military personel were killed in the escape, but a fair majority managed to escape through Daigo's quick handiwork; About a hundred. However, the four surrounding concrete buildings were unphased by that destruction and remain now on full red alert. Four helicopters are patroling overhead at the moment. Geese has a lawn chair with many properly fruit-filled drinks and a red and white umbrella at one of the corners. 8 Tanks have been moved from the siege on City Hall and even the roadblock around the quarter with Metro Prison and Police Headquarters. Jury-rigged machineguns are on the top of each remaining prison. The area three blocks out has been declared a 'No Man's Land', civilian access completely denied. People who managed to get past this perimeter -- patrolled by Humvee's with .50 caliber guns and ground patrols -- will be executed on sight from the prison. Spotlights flood literally every shadow, and attack dogs are perpetually led around with snarls and gnashing teeth. Radios are perpetually humming, and even a single missed report will send everyone into combat alert.
This is even worse then Megumi's raid, but Rolento will likely kill every single person left in order to remove the chance for them to join the enemy forces. A subtle genocide worthy of Hitler is not nearly above him if done in the name of a 'New World Order'. Every single life in these concrete walls depends on this second attack.
Of course, there's absolutely no way to sneak in. Shank's with RPG's are on buildings, ready to blow up any vehicle that twitches. A few snipers are scanning all round, others with binoculars. So what on earth will work?
A brute-force frontal assault, that's what. It's only about a fourth of Rolento's army. And unknown reinforcements. And Geese, in a lawn chair. what could go wrong?

Geese has relocated here due to sheer boredom. The bridge occupation was fun, but eventually got old...and now he could 'vacation' out here. But right now he has abandoned his lawn chair and fancy drinks in favor of...being inside the prison itself. While everyone else is on high alert, he's busy being a bully. Busy taunting some of those held within, making fun of them or having a jolly old time envisioning mean-spirited things to do to them.

Right now however, he's taken hold of a particularly long stick and is jabbing it through the bars of one cell. He's laughing as he quite literally pokes one officer with a stick repeatedly. This is more annoying and degrading than genuinely harmful, but Geese made it clear early on in this: Put up with the stick, or what comes next would fall into the 'painful' category. It's mean, but Geese is having fun at the expense of others and he couldn't give less of a damn.

And stationed outside is the real threat. No amount of miniguns, helicopters, or Howards can compare to the might that is Mad Gear! And currently, the group of thugs that are stationed at this prison are.. getting drunk around the semi truck that they travelled here in. The two dozen or so goons are passing 40s of OE back and forth, the stench of malt liquor hanging thick in the air. Sure, they may be wearing fancy uniforms, but they're still the same street punks that they were before this grand revolution.
And high above his men, seated cross-legged on the top of the truck, is Katana - eyes closed as he tries to get some shred of peace in this heavily defended zone. Life in the middle of urban warfare does not quit agree with the faux-Samurai, who despises seeing tanks and helicopters rolling through the streets of his city. It's not what he wanted at all.. but it's what needs to be done, at least until the resistance is swayed to their side. Another day.. another conflict. Even a warrior as great as Katana grows tired of fighting.. but Rolento's thirst for battle seems to make up for his lack of passion.

While Geese was out having a totally rockin' time on his vacation, and Rolento was entertaining visions of Genocide, Nassir was doing all sorts of footwork. Earning his keep and his title as First Lieutenant by assisting the Captains above him and ensuring the readiness of the few unlucky scrubs and mooks below him, the young soldier was slowly unravelling from a mental standpoint. This was a high-stress time, one Nassir knew would inevitably come, but that knowledge didn't help to settle the youth. Death was very much on the air, here...death, and Malt Liquor.
Death was readily explained. Plenty died here recently, the insects settling on pools of congealing blood and the occasional body that just hadn't been tucked away under a figurative carpet yet. Plenty more would die before the city would be claimed for any party, Revolutionary or Resistance. Malt Liquor, though?
Nassir peeled away from his previous duties, moving light, tenatively in search for the source of the smell. It couldn't be civilians--they'd be dead if they got this close--and Rolento himself would've killed any Shank Soldier caught doing something so...stupid. The Mad Gear(!) gangers, though? They were to be afforded an unbelievable level of leeway...something Nassir couldn't agree with, but such was the life. Peeking around the corner of an nearby outpost, his suspicions were confirmed.
<Worthless. Absolutely Worthless.>

This is one of those days, it looks like.
With the four prisons being heavily guarded by the security, thinks seem to be a bad thing. Four helicopters are flying in the sky, and the roadblock is placed. Humvees with weapons and guards that are ready to shoot anyone who pass by.
Thankfully, there are some gathered resistance making their way from the further ventage, not quite there to the covered sight. Thankfully, the strike against the Rebels have been halted thanks to many fighters. The Rebellion against the Mad Gear are ready to assist. One of them is viewing the situation from afar with a pair of binoculars.
"Well..." One of the rebellion states, "There are four helicopters in the air, it's heavily guarded with the road block and guards are everywhere. All of them are wielding guns and humvees are packing heat. It doesn't look to be a way to sneak in... There is charging in, but... they'd be able to shoot all of us easily. We have some shieldings, but..."
One of the people back is Jiro, who is somewhat the leader of the group. "...Beautiful." He sighs, "I'm no tactician at this shit..." He mentions to the group out back, "Well guys, what do you propose we do? This shit looks suicidal..." He grumbles, "I hope you guys at least have some shielding... Ugh. We can't go anywhere without being gunned down." He tightens the leather straps.

With all this talk of the rebels this and the rebellion that Shingo gets the feeling that he's in a bad Star Wars parody. How exactly he ended up being like a more noble and less scoundrel-like Han Solo is beyound him. All he knows is that he got off a train the other day and got involved once more in this military warefare of the city under siege. After a case of mistaken identity, convincing a ninja to help them out, and getting an idea of what was going on, he and his traveling companion ended up helping this resistance force. Mostly because Jiro kept pressing on about this as though he were some emo Luke Skywalker. It's in his hero contract to help out where he can.

After sitting through the little briefing before this mission and thinking that it was going to be tough. He wouldn't think it would be impossible. That's thinking negatively. Which is a total paradigm shift for him. Helicopters, tanks, Mad Gear, and Shank Squad members. Sounds like fun. For noe he opts to be the silent observer with casual glances around. At least they have some information. Though he heard that many agents died to procure it. More than likely Bothans. Ah well. "You ready to go through with this, Natsu?" Shingo looks to his fellow Taiyo student.

A blank look is all that Natsu can return. Not much of a tactician herself, of course, unless it's on the Volleyball court. And I don't think, despite the lawn chair, that they're going to take kindly to asking for a game. The fortress does look impenetrable, suicidal even. This causes Natsu to reflect on the events of the last few days. From simple volleyball star to revolutionary in just two days. A new record, even for her.

Still, Natsu isn't without a sense of honor. That damned fool emotion that makes heroes. And it makes heroes charge heavily guarded prisons to free people she's never met. Such is life. Natsu wouldn't have it any other way. She turns to Shingo, "As ready as anyone ever in in our situation, I expect."

Kim Jae Hoon had the foresight to at least bring a jacket. He came in his gi, though. What else would one wear to a fight, after all? Still, the leather bomber jacket keeps him warm, and it looks cool and appropriately heroic. Which is important, naturally. Trailing a few paces behind Jiro, bare feet shuffling quietly against the asphalt, the young man observes the situation and is, apparently, not all that pleased. "Hm," he says, eyes squinted in confusion. "I don't know! And... please, watch your language," he says, helpfully, towards Jiro. "If the guns are the problem, we can deal with the guns. We'll have to disarm or disable the ones that have them, so that we can deal with the ones that don't. They're the ones that are the most dangerous, remember?" Jae Hoon pulls off his jacket, leaving it hanging on a nearby street sign. It'd be dirty to put it on the floor, y'know.

"Okay," he whispers, mostly to himself. "Man, I've never been in a fight with people who really wanted to hurt me. It doesn't feel like being in the ring at all. I guess this is the difference between fighting for exhibition and fighting for life..." The young Kim has a contemplative sound to him. "But I can't be afraid! It's time to stand up for justice! Sir!" he says, directing his eagerness towards Jiro. "I'm an expert at rapid attacks. I think I can overcome the gunmen, as long as we're able to sustain some fire! But... I promise to do my best!"

With great power comes great responsibility.

It's an overused line. One that Ken himself cringes every time he thinks of it. But as the situation in Metro City worsened, as people DIED, he kept wondering if his sensei would want him to just watch, despite having that amazing ability and training that could lead to victory while dozens of others combined may only fine pain and death. A new world order... Like Gill talked off. People always claimed that Ken was weak... That he shouldn't have been laid low by that attack. That he slacked off. But this time, he plans to go above and beyond. Not for the people, as his disguise is something that he hopes will shield attention from himself (and his family should the Mad Gears consider revenge), but himself. For his own personal wake. That he did something meaningful with his abilities instead of letting them be abused for his own personal glory and fame.

This fight is to show he is no selfish jerk like Geese. That is he is something better than most make him out to be. Even if they can't ever see or now.

Moving through the quiet streets, he pulls out an odd weapon from his odder 'quiver'. The putter beats against his hand with a gentle rhythm. Guns weren't his thing really... And he never liked golf that much anyway. He just eyes the group gathered, having parted ways the first time they all met. He just shakes his head, merely giving a gruff "Just let me talk point... Don't get shot." Ken's cocky. That's his job.

However, it seems that the little planning might be more short-lived then expected. Although the ensemble of people were assuredly out of sight, and not quite within the three-block threshold that means instant attack, there is a call from one of the buildings. A figure with binoculars is pointing in their directions, making motions and then lifting a radio to his lips. There's a single siren wail, but it dies off. The helicopters immediately swerve in the air towards their direction, and the eight tanks seen far off swivel turrets. Every eye is now facing them, but they don't open fire. There's definitely not going to be the aspect of surprise.
A black humvee, machinegun upon the top, turns around a corner and begins to come towars them. The man atop has them sighted, but doesn't as of yet open fire. It looks like they are only coming to investigate a rather suspicious batch of people clumped just past the perimeter. So what's the best course of action? Blowing it up?
To all those present, including Geese, an announcement is made. "Possible civilians sighted at border to Alpha Zero. Five confirmed. Identities unknown. Humvee investigation, yellow alert."

Geese hears it. He just doesn't care. "'Civilians', they say? Pah." He's more interested in stick-poking, "They can call me when I'm not a humvee, and when it's something these clowns actually need help for." ...Wait, why say that to just this guy in the cell? Geese has a radio on him, may as well use it. He does so, informing Rolento, "Call me when you actually need me."

Katana's eyes snap open behind his mask as he hears the alert spoken over the radio. Letting out a deep sigh, the massive man shakes his head - probably nothing.. but no, he knows better. He knows that something is going to happen very soon - it's only a matter of time until the misguided do-gooders attempt to free the prisoners. The people that rightfully -belong- behind their bars. Still, he might as well exert some control over his rowdy thugs while he's not meditating.
Standing up, the gang leader points one of his wakizashi down at the assembled goons. "All of you! Put away that alcohol and grab your weapons.. we may have trouble!" And then, he stomps twice on the roof of the semi, the signal given as the driver starts up the engine - a loud rumble sounding out through the area. Katana isn't moving yet.. but he's prepared for something.

Jiro's eyes observe towards Shingo and Natsu, "Errmph." He shrugs softly, "Alright then..." His eyes shift towards JaeHoon, who tells him to watch his language. His reply? "Whatever." He sighs, "Either way, we'll disarm the men... I can call on the strays that... I sent to help with the distraction..." He frowns, "...I don't like sending them out for something like this, but... they told me that they'd want to help me... no matter what the cost." He grunts softly.
"Whatever..." He looks over his shoulder, watching a small seizu approach his way. Kneeling down to the stray, Jiro lowers his head. It's... almost painful for Jiro to look at the stray that wants to help him.
"Go and...." The siren calls, "God damnit." Jiro hisses out angrily, then he looks over towards the incoming machineguns and the Stray Dog whispers into stray's ear. Jiro nods. "Go." With that, the stray dog immediately leaves to the back.
Meanwhile, Jiro looks at the Rebels, "Alright guys. Let's go."
The Rebel Leader nods towards Jiro, "Alright boss! We'll cover you." He calls back towards the rebellion forces. There are quite a number gathered as well. "Men! Go!" On signal, a group of men and women rise from their grounds with a shotgun, rifle, and any other sort of low-key weapons that they could get. Not as big as Rolento's, but perhaps they can seize the gear that Rolento had at the process. They start firing out towards the winshields.
"Alright. Screw it. We're going in." Jiro immediately takes off towards into the battle sight, angling over from the course. While the Rebels are firing off and giving cover, the Stray Dog draws his chi together as a pair of glimmering violet katars.

Well, so much for yelling at the drunk gangst--er, policemen. There were more important things afoot now, or at least so it seemed. Alpha Zero wasn't all that far from where they were...though trying to get there on foot would make for a stupidly long trip. Muttering something under his breath to himself, Nassir ran for the semi, looking to hitch a ride for what it was worth. Hopefully, the driver wasn't drinking too.

Sirens are blaring? Uh-oh! The fuzz is here! Refraining from commenting on the obvious of how that can't be good, Shingo takes a deep breath and mutters something along the lines of his personal mantra, "Stay cool, Shingo. Stay cool." So he's going to war. How fun. Funny since he's always telling Megumi that she shouldn't push herself so much by wanting to save the world or whatever it was her hero complex had her wanting to save. With the 'enemy' mobilizing Shingo looks to the girl, "All right. Let's do this then." The boy puts on his helmet and hops into the awaiting X-Wing before blasting off into the Yavin IV sky to challenge the approaching Death Star. "Stay close and watch your back." Wise words of advice. Also common sense. If anyone gets shot, it's not his fault. Shingo enters the fray ready to take on all challengers.

Natsu watches the Humvee pull up. No tactician she is, but from watching some of Shoma's war movies, she believe that's what is known as 'Mobile Light Cover.' She also knows that Action Heros, like Steven Segal, Stalone, or Fei Long don't ever get asked for ID if disguised as one of the enemy.

Of course, the rebel leader seems to have different ideas from her. Jiro must not watch the same movies as her. She shrugs, as Shingo seems fit to run in too. Besides, she's almost sure she couldn't take the entire Humvee herself. She tags along closely behind Shingo, keeping up closely, keeping the Taiyo school together.

Jae Hoon doesn't have a handy Star Wars analogy. He's his own hero, apparently. Cracking his knuckles with a series of pops, the blue-haired youth nods to the other rebels around him. "Right. I'll do what I can do about any support and then we can work on the real problem." Jae Hoon actually holds his hand straight out, as if preparing for a 'team spirit' moment. Like the Three Musketeers. But by the time he does, everyone else is already running ahead, after Shingo, leaving Jae Hoon's hand hovering in space. He still finishes, though. "Let's do it!" he exclaims, raising his lonely, somber hand before he starts running after the others.

In the end, he figured it would be like this. High School kids are NOT crack commandos, no matter if they are skilled martial artists or not. That being said, Ken figures that there is only one thing to do. Take point like he kinda said he was.

When the Hummer makes its way toward the people, he holds out his putter. "Shingo, take this." Regardless if he does or not, Ken lets go of the putter, before makes a call. He could go all out on it, but well, that would totally mean that his identity was blown. On the other hand, he COULD rely on his normal attacks, meaning that well, he wouldn't be able to do any moves that would make it easily known that it was him. But someone could get hurt by that. Someone could die. And if any of these kids died on his watch, he would never forgive himself. For that reason, as the guy has his gun pointed toward the group, Ken decides to react.

Saying a prayer for his wife and son, Ken puts his hands together at his side, the palms gather a swift blue energy. "HADOUKEN!" With that, he aims a ball of blue energy right for the gunner on top of the armored car so the kids can move by.

Hopefully no one will be that surprised about the sexy man of mystery. And hopefully he will be able to resist the urge to punch someone when they think he's Ryu. Because someone WILL. He knows it. They ALWAYS frickin' assume it's Ryu when there is a Hadouken involved. Losers.

The small-caliber bullets hit the windshield, but do an entirely large amount of nothing. It's armored and bulletproof, and looks to more be surprised then anything else. They did not manage to sight the massive rebel presence, only those who were observing. It screeches to a halt, instantly hitting reverse and swerving away -- the hadouken misses by a foot, given it was aimed at the machinegun user as opposed to the vehicle itself. The massive machinegun begins to unload, firing at the approaching heroes as the operator scrunches down to avoid incoming fire. Thusly, the attempts to ambush it already failed. No Humvee for them. The siren wails louder once more, and this time doesn't cease. Those helicopters up above begin to fly sideways, chainguns unloading. RPG's fire, impacting the ground in vicious detonations. The tanks start to roll forward -- yes, eight of them -- and start firing their own mounted chainguns and heavy artillery. About ten other Humvee's flank the streets, similarly starting to unload. The mounted machineguns on the prison buildings are unloading walls of lead. The street they are running apart, in other words, is now a sea of horrific military death. They are working with clockwork precision, seemingly to truly be a well-trained military force. In other words, not good conditions for a rebel assault.

In a matter of seconds, the defenses around the prison have sprung into action - the radio abuzz with activity, the sound of gunfire more than audible from Katana's position. His head snapping towards the sound of conflict in the distance, the massive man points to his gathered thugs. "Alright men, this is it! Get in the back, it's time to keep Haggar's yes-men in their cells!" he bellows, his uniformed goons leaping into the back of the semi truck. The driver begins to take off, driving by Nassir slowly enough to allow the man to leap in if he were so inclined, as the vehicle begins to speed towards the attacking force.

Is he that inclined? Why, yes he is! With a manly jump appropriate for someone of his considerable manliness bordering on Double-Jump Superstyle, Nassir probably could've pulled it off while the thing was in full-steam...or maybe just rode an RPG into battle. That'd be pretty badass.
Or not. Regardless, Nassir is on the way, totally rolling out with Katana and EZ Company.

There is a pause from the Stray Dog when he hears the cry of Hadouken.
"...Ryu? Is that you...?" He looks around him, then he looks at the mysterious man. "...Erm..." The Stray Dog shifts his head over towards the backing of the humvee, especially when it is starting to back away.
...Young Skywalker is not happy at all. Jiro is grumbling to himself, keeping his 'lightsaber' katar activated. Gathering his hatred, the Stray Dog is rushing into the fray, growling as the machinegun starts unloading.
He keeps dancing his way with spins away from the firing. Not as graceful as quick or more elegant people can be, if that, but he is getting his way over towards the turrent.
That humvee is his. The Stray Dog growls, winding his back over to strike at the incoming humveee. "Die!" He aims to send the chi-blade energy to rip straight through the humvee.
Seeing that the humvees are a bit more bullet proof, the XO of the Rebels look back at the men and women, "The humvees are too guarded. Let the..." He shakes his head, "Let the kids handle it!" It feels so odd for him to say it. "...Even if this is ridiculous... they're fighters." He looks at the people on the roof with the RPGs. "Take out the guys at the top----arrgghhh!!" He collapses from one of the gunshots, ughing in agonizing pain.
The men and women, who took cover, are now coming out of their hiding places, getting into positions and firing their rounds at the rooftop. Others behind are aiming towards the helicopters. It won't be a good idea, but they have to try something.

A humvee draws near! Command? Shingo chooses fight. He's already running, you see, and he has no items in his pack. In fact. What pack? He doesn't have one of those either. So what does he have? Besides impeccable skill when it comes to hitting things and the training of Kusanagi-ryuu by his side? "SHINGO KIIIIIIICKU!" Well, there's always that Shingo Kick of his. The hadouken is noted but he's not ready to get himself distracted on figuring out which Ansatsuken member that is. He'd prefer not to get himself or Natsu killed, kthxbye.

Hopefully the vehicle and gunner are distracted by the sheer number of targets so that both are left open to the unforgiving aerial kick belonging to the Taiyo schoolboy. Wondering where he's going with his signature technique? Straight for the machine gun. No, not the gunner. The gun. To smash right through it and then strike the gunner out cold. He's just that good. If he catches a break.

Natsu knows a command when she hears it. She glares over at the assaulted Humvee, and charges. She's not really sure about this Star Wars thing. Maybe it's a boy thing. I mean, what's a better movie then Better Off Dead? *sigh* Wait. Humvee.

She draws her leg back, and kicks directly into the driver's door, placing all of her speed and weight into the kick, targeting the very center of the door. SHe hope to kick it in and hit the driver with it, but, who knows what will actually happen.

Chen has connected.

Jae Hoon finds himself someplace he certainly didn't expect to be: A real battlefield. This isn't practice in a dojo, or even the floor of Howard Arena. This... this is real. And, for a few moments, Jae Hoon is frozen. His knees wobble. His legs refuse to respond. He is all but a statue, paralyzed with... fear, and panic. And then, not more than a few feet, one of Rolento's forces, thrown from his vehicle by the battle that rages around them, raises his rifle to take aim at one of the rebel forces.

"Shakka... SHUU!" Acting more on reflex than anything else, the Tae Kwon Do ace launches himself forward, hammering his target with a series of rapid kicks. Both he and the gun drop before they can get a bead on Jae Hoon. And, for the moment, the kid seems to have snapped out of his stupor. "There's no gun, sword, or grenade in the world that can match the incredible strength of Tae Kwon Do!" he roars, adrenaline taking over for the fear. "Ms. Ayuhara! I've heard that you have incredible upper body strength! ... can you get me all the way up to those helicopters?!"

"I missed? I was robbed! I was freakin' robbed!" Ken cries out before he rolls out of way out of some gunfire that is aimed in his direction. He takes some cover behind a mailbox. It might not be much, but it gives him more than enough time to fire another Hadouken at the tanks. "Hadouken!" Tanks can't dodge... Haha! If he could take out the shooters on the roof, that would be great, but well, his Hadoukens aren't that fast and the distance is more than enough for even common guards to dodge. "Since when did I step into World War Three here?"

Fear doesn't really come into Ken's mind right now... Mostly because he is too busy focusing on kicking some butt to do anything else.

Shingo charging like a banshee towards the retreating Humvee is assuredly not a good thing for the occupants. The gun is kicked, bending at a warped angle and knocking the man behind flat out. Screeching out of control, Natsu's kick then shatters the door inwards, hitting the driver. Immediately the vehicle stops dead, two people unconscious. Others push out the passenger doors and... Run away?
Well, it seems to be due to the fact one of the helicopters has whirled around and unleashed a single missile. It impacts the heavily dented Humvee, obliterating it in a shrapnel of warped metal as black smoke billows into the air. Maybe if the rebellion had just one of those, they could do a lot more. The helicopters then flit up high, bullets ricocheting harmlessly off the armor. The first sign of tangible success is that a few of the people with RPG's croak over, and many of the Shank Squad members are flitting back to hide behind the vehicles. It's those damned heavy artillery that is the trouble.
Tank fire continues to pound the ground, machinegunes have turned the pavement into little more then swiss cheese. Snipers take out stray rebels who walk into view. Everyone would likely be squashed against the building's sides, ducking behind anything available. Ken's hadouken impacts a tank, blasting a gouge in the side and sending it skidding back. A grinding sound comes out, but it still manages to keep firing. So far, the heroes advanced about... one block, total. Two more blocks and they get to the tanks and humvee's. But doing it in this upfront manner might not work, even with the added number. Not to mention a giant semi is rushing down the street, ignoring the crossfire.
However, there is the possibility of running down the side streets. Attempting to maneuver closer to the tanks and four prisons through alleys. That might work slightly better.

Standing tall atop the speeding semi, Katana narrows his eyes as the wind rushes forward into the eyeholes of his mask - managing to keep his balance quite easily atop the truck. He approaches the attacking heroes at a deadly pace, walking towards the front of the trailer and climbing down, hanging onto the passenger door with one hand as the other reaches for his wakizashi. He's in a rather precarious position, and falling would mean alot of pain - and possible death under the wheels of the truck.
Within moments, the truck is set to plough right into the middle of the combat zone, the mohawked driver expertly nagivating the quagmire as Katana barks out directions - noticing the first of the heroes, the young woman. Directing the driver to approach her, the massive gang leader leans out towards her as they pass by, making a drive-by slashing with his bladed weapon.

Oho! A target!
While Mr. Mohawk drives their vehicle of choice like a champ, and Katana prepares himself to totally rock out like the anti-ninja that he is? Nassir busies himself with a moment of communication. After all, it might be decent to let 'em know what's up. Clicking the button on his shoulder, Nassir speaks in a brand of hurried arabic.
<Resistance Engaged in Alpha Zero. Unarmed, possibly trained fighters.>
Well, that was quick. Now for some assistance--the very best kind of assistance Nassir can offer. Pulling free one of the orbs hanging around his bandolier, Nassir throws it out of the window, hopefully to explode near Natsu.

The rebels eye up towards the helicopters, staring with amazement.
<<Try to get one of those helicopters if you can. Otherwise, try to force them to strike the other ground vehicles! Or take them out.>>
From the battlefield, the XO gets up, bleeding, but it's not enough to kill him. He is, however, making a few directions towards the group beyond. This leaves the group to move onward. After the XO works on patching himself up, he calls out, "Stay back, at least until they clear the way! THen we make our way towards the roof! It's too dangerous to from this distance!"
Unfortunately, the snipers do take out few of the men and women in view, causing them to keel over with blood loss. Nevertheless, one of them are taking cover over behind a tree or some form of blockade. In fact, they see an opening at the side streets. Signalling one to follow another, they are trying to head towards the path. They are occassionally sniping out towards the men upward.

Meanwhile...

"Move it! Move it!" Jiro calls out, "Go to the side! Take out all of the damn humvees and anything in the path."
<<Where is your back up that you mentioned?>> That's the XO's voice.
Picking up the radio, Jiro calls out, "...Right coming... about now."
Remember the seizu that Jiro sent off? Well, it's arriving from the side with a pack of dogs. Those of the men that are pouncing out at the men outside of the tanks that would still be around, guarding the entrance.
Noticing that the group of people are going after Natsu? His analytic eyes become feral as he sees two people that are quite familiar. He's heading over towards Natsu's way as he's sprinting over towards the samurai man.
Jiro's reaching out to grab the arm, growling, "Hey asshole! Remember me----" Unfortunately, the blade strikes him against the chest, releasing blood to come flying out. "Aggghh.... god damnit!" He growls, hissing with an annoyed tone. First thing Jiro plans to do is take that man's katana.

"Oh snap...!" Shingo exclaims after his heroic display of dispatching both machine gun and gunner when he whips his head around to stare down a rapidly approaching missile on the vehicle. The youth leaping high into the air to escape the impending blast of doom that rocks the vehicle off its wheels and sends various auto parts all over the place. Shingo landing in a crouch with one knee almost touching the ground in a dramatic pose. The fire from the exploded humvee burning in the background. "Whew! Close one," Shingo remarks. With that annoyance taken care of he turns his attention to the rest of the battle field. Need to make sure Natsu is all right.

At first it looks like she might be in trouble from the two-pronged attack heading her way. What a bunch of cowards. Attacking the only female fighter here. He's going to have to teach them a lesson. Fortunately Jiro is there to help out as well. Good for him. Not so good when Jiro gets slashed by the wannabe-Asian. Shingo is pretty sure the Gedo member can handle a simple man wearing samurai-type armour. What Yabuki is worried about is that grenade thrown at his schoolmate. "Natsu! Heads up!" It's a shout of warning to the girl despite his best attempts to intercept the explosive by leaping to catch it in his grasp before it can go off. First time he's doing this. You can tell by the way the bomb goes off the second he touches it. Uh, oops. The resulting explosion burning the edges of his clothes. Other than that, he's fine. Don't mind the smoke rising off him. Now that's what he calls watching each other's back.

Natsu looks over at the Korean. Did she see her hit that Humvee? Oh well, I suppose the man know what's he's doing. She begins to turn to face her fellow revolutionaries. That's when the Katana strike comes.
Or not. It seems the stranger from another school has leaped to her rescue! That was, well, unexpected. She shrugs, and then notices the grenade on the ground. She makes like she's starting to dodge...
When Shingo jumps on the thing. Well, being a lady helps out a bit, doesn't it. She looks upon her good fortune favorably, and smiles at Jae. "Ready to go, Fly-boy?" She asks Jae, scooping the man up with her powerful volleyball-player arms, and tossing up in the direction of the nearest helicopter.

COMBATSYS: Natsu takes no action.

"Ready to go!" Of course, Jae Hoon barely has time to respond. Because then he gets /served/. Not in a bad way, either. No, he's actually thrown at one of the helicopters like a human missile. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Yes, that's a terrified scream. He didn't really think this through, aside from the implications it would have on the enforcement of justice. "Okay!" he yells, once he stabilizes in mid-air.

"Take... THIS!" Twisting into a flying mid-air kick, Jae Hoon soars towards the cockpit of his chosen chopper, his leg exploding into an inferno of chi flames. "Hishou Kyaku!" Which it is. Only, inverted. Instead of going down, he's flying straight up, apparently having chosen to fly Natsu Air.

Ken sighs. "Well, not sure if that was better or worse than I thought it would be," the Martial Arts Master replies as he just fires off another fireball with a loud cry of "Hadouken!" before he takes to the skies, as he has to narrowly dodge a tank shell from another tank by jumping, lunging between bullets here and there with his amazing evading abilities. He just might be able to whittle down all these forces on his own. He's like Rambo. Except sexier and without cheesy dialogue.

The combat continues to brew in the background. The rebel forces manage to advance, and some even broke into adjoining buildings and managed to defeat the Shank Squad members. Finding themselves with new RPG's, they begin to fire them down at the vehicles and up at the flitting helicopters. None of the helicopters are destroyed, but two Humvee's are now smoking. The tanks just take them and laugh. The helicopters begin to ascend much higher, trying to get out of range of the RPG's. However, before that happens, Natsu flings an interesting projectile towards one of the helicopters. Unable to maneuver, it instead twists to the side. It's an open target.
Until the door slides open, and a certain red-beret adorned commando is seen. Gritting his teeth, he then /hurls/ himself out of the helicopter from the massive height, snapping back his baton and beginning to twirl it like a rotor. He manages to intercept Jae Hoon a few meters from impact -- meaning he takes it, but the helicopter is unharmed. Mid-air battle, anyone? "What is with these suicidal intrusions!!" is snarled out.
The dogs begin to assault the stray Shank Squad members, but they might suffer an atrocious loss. The minigun on a pair of tanks begin to whisk at the dogs, and people from the roofs are similarly firing down. A few are picked off by rebels exposing themselves like this, but it's not a good day to be allied with Jiro if you have more then two legs.

Twirling around, the incoming fierce kick barely misses the commando. It's enough to singe the edge of his clothing, and bring a pained grit. However, he then /snaps/ down the baton with an incredible amount of force, attempting to impact Jae Hoon dead in the face and bring him back falling towards the ground. It's about two stories; It might take a few moments, but at least nobody can say /Rolento/ isn't suicidal. "Nnngh!!"

Katana seems somewhat surprised as a vaguely-familiar face leaps into the path of his blade.. hm, he would've thought that the boy would have countered that - nobody is stupid enough to jump into a wakizashi like that.. are they? Regardless, he lets out a laugh as his blade slices flesh, the truck zooming past the trio of heroes and continuing on for a short distance. Wheeling back around, the driver aims to semi to make another pass at the do-gooders - Katana barking orders that are barely audible over the loud rumble of the engine.
Just before the grill of the truck slams into one of the kids, the driver jerks the wheel to the side again - and once more, Katana is making a drive-by attack.. this time, however, he doesn't slash out with his wakizashi.. aiming to grab Jiro by the collar..

COMBATSYS: Jiro counters Medium Throw from Katana with Backlash.

So, then, there were actually fighters all over the place. Crud. With that in mind, Nassir does what he can from his limited position--body beginning to show the telltale signs of chi manefestation, shadowy blue energy wearing away at the seat he's in, chewing into the fabric and cutting at the metal beneath. The Mohawked driver might not appreciate his efforts, but at this point Nassir could care less. After a few moments, the energy buildup is gone, the Shank Squad soldier settling back into the seat as if nothing happened.
Meanwhile, outside? Dark blue simulacra form, Nassir-clones hanging from the sides of the truck, four in total. Their purpose is easy to read, their means as obvious as the chi-crafted knives in their ephermal hands. Jumping free in unison, they're to help Katana at all costs...because, hey, they're short lived anyways. Jumping in, each thrusts in for the Stray Dog, seeking to cut deep and make quick work of him...one less person to worry about.

The miniguns start shooting at the dogs are all howling and screaming as they are given the rapid fire from the turrents. Raw power of the shots pump the dogs full of lead, causing them to collapse dead.
Jiro -growls- angrily as he sees the strays shot like hell. "...At least they chose it... I won't let their deaths be in vain" His eyes shift over as Katana is trying to make a drive-by grab his way. The Stray Dog immediately reaches over towards the man's hand, pulling him out of the truck.
With a powerful yank, the Stray Dog is grasping a hold of Katana's hand, aiming to swing the man around and around with a powerful thrust. With the grasp of holding Katana's hand, the Stray Dog is spinning around repeatedly, pulling the man into a giant swing. While having the man in a giant swing. Then, Jiro lifts the man up....
And Jackhammer bombs the man towards the ground, head first with a powerful thrust of his body collapsing to the side.
Soon, Jiro is noticing the Nassir clones coming out towards him with the knives. His eyes widen a bit as he is attempting to leap away from the knives.
Unfortunately, no good.Jiro is sent flying towards the ground. "Uggghghhh." He is going to hurt Nassir really badly when he gets back up.

Gunfire! Explosions! Blood-curdling screams! Dead bodes! Mayhem! It's mayhem! Shingo has never been a soldier in war before and probably never will. If he has anything to say about it. Especially not if he has to experience scenes and scenarios such as this one. He's naturally an exuberant and lively young man. This situation he has been tossed into is putting a strain even on his eternal positive outlook on life. Ah well. War is hell. Or so as they say. Shingo checks around. Natsu is fine. Jae Hoon is playing DBZ with Rolento in the sky. Jiro is...busying himself getting cut up. Well. At least he was able to put the samurai out of commission. Now what's left for Shingo to do? He isn't sure. But he hopes someone can figure this out soon. In the meantime he goes to help somebody. Most likely the injured Jiro. Geez. No wonder he doesn't have any health insurance. He's worse than Jackie Chan.

Natsu glares at the two combatants in the semi. Let's see. First they both try and attack the only girl present. Natsu can forgive them that, but then they both start hacking away at the most wounded. "Have you no honor?!" She screams at the duo, her own blue eyes filled with rage.

Of course they have no honor. And they will die like the dogs they are. (Sorry Jiro). Seeing Jiro take care of the swordsman, she tosses a volleyball up in the air, sending it's relatively soft mass hurdling through the air towards bomb boy over there.

This is going to hurt. This guy... this guy is an expert. He can tell that much practically from first glance. Being struck by him -- and apparently behind used to break Rolento's fall as they head to the ground, battling one another in mid-air -- confirms these suspicions. "You--you're the one! You're the one behind all of this!" The recognition all but ignites Jae Hoon. No, seriously, it actually prompts him to light the lower half of his body on fire. Kim Jae Hoon's legs erupt in a wreath of burning flame, his eyes shining. "Then I'll be the one to dispense justice! You've hurt many people... and now it's time to pay for your crimes!"

Jae Hoon's tactic is simple: If they're going to hit the ground, make sure he makes it worthwhile. Twisting his burning body in mid-air, Jae Hoon aims to hit Rolento from above with a furious split-kick, directing them BOTH towards a painful confrontation with mother Earth. "The fires of justice and Tae Kwon Do will leave nothing behind! Hangetsu... ZAN!"

COMBATSYS: Rolento interrupts Hangetsu Zan from JaeHoon with Grenadier.

"ENOUGH!!" Rolento roars, loud enough that some heads partially turn amidst the chaos. Yanking a grenade out of his pocket amidst the freefall, his reaction to Jae Hoon is almost painfully dismissive. He manages to duck mostly under the split-kick, before punching the hapless man in the gut with the grenade. His leg then lifts, pushing Jae Hoon away. The second he hits the ground, the explosive will detonate. And Rolento impacts it somewhat uneasily, hissing in what seems to be more pain then what Jae Hoon just experienced. Getting to his feet, watching the devestation, rage seems to crease his features. He is sick of this. The perpetual showdown.
Those tanks punched get impressive dents within them, knocked a few meters each time. One of them is now smoking, the other can't turn the turret. A solid strike from the man would probably detonate it like nobody's business.
...However, then Rolento lifts up his radio and snarls something into it in German. All Shank Squad fire stops, and a few buzzes seeming to ask for affirmation come back. The helicopters begin to climb, and the Humvee's kick into gear, screeching down the roads and away from the conflict. The tanks just go idle, not seeming to do anything. People in Shank Squad uniform and Mad Gear as well can be seen pouring out of the buildings, attempting to catch rides with Humvee's and only laying down supressive fire upon the rebels in order to retreat.
Slowly, Rolento draws something bulky from his vest. A heavy square, with a thick antenna. His thumb flicks up, and a loud click echoes forth. "You wish to see what War really is?!" he calls out, before beginning to laugh in a manner that does add much more questions to his sanity.

Taking a breather, the Stray Dog is busy bleeding and trying to get himself together. Damn the situation with Rolento and the gang. Damn Katana... damn Nassir...
..Okay, now this is bad. Jiro is noticing everyone halting, and the Shank Squad units and Mad Gear firing upon the men. Growling, Jiro notices that the whole unit is escaping. That isn't good.
Jiro picks up the radio, "<Get the **** out now! All rebels inside evacuate! Jump off if you have to!>" He curses under his breath. He growls, then he looks back at the gang. "Pull back! Pull the **** back!" He hisses, and he immediately starts to run off, calling for the Rebels to get the hell out.

This is odd. Why is everyone running away? Initally he thought that they were all charging him. Except they ran past. This is definitely not good. And then Jiro radios? Oh yeah. Time to make like a Cobra Commander and Retreat! Retreat! Shingo runs like hell.

He's not. I mean... really. He can't be. He'll probably go on TV and blame us for this too. She turns on her heels quickly however. She does take the time to ensure that everyone around her is on their feet and moving before she takes off at a good rate of speed. Shakes her head, and legs it, toot sweet.

Ken pauses from his blowing up of a random tank. "...What the heck?" he says as he sees everyone just running from Rolento and going for cover. He doesn't do that though... Instead, he just walks TOWARD Rolento, merely pulling out a club from his thought to be forgot bag. A nine-iron. "You BETTER not be doing what you think you are... Or I am gunna beat your face in so hard, it will take splunkers to find it." Ken is not happy it would seem.

The dictator's eyes lock with the approaching Ken. He doesn't appear moved in the slightest.
"In Vietnam... I did not take prisoners. For a live body against you is a live body that can fight again. I had planned to integrate the police back into society. I had planned to release them, when they complied with New Metro's policies. But it seems you foolish Heroes only understand /violence./ Very well!" There's not so much as a moment's hesitation before Rolento presses the detonator.
Within all four buildings, multiple muffled explosions literally shake the street. Secondary explosions blast out windows, shattering the concrete and sending it spraying over the streets. However, this isn't even the worst of it. A gargantuan gout of blue flame lances up from the center of the street -- the gas vein. Not only did Rolento blow the building foundations, but he detonated the /gas vein./
A moment later, three blocks around becomes little more then a complete inferno. Concrete shatters upwards, in a rippling detonation. The prison buildings are all but obliterated, as well as a half-block around them. The very foundation shatters and sinks into the subway and sewers. It's a rather harsh amount of damage -- moreso given that the town now lacks an Asylum.
Rolento himself appears to vanish in the explosion. When the billowing smoke clears, he's gone. But it seems he's sent a message of just what he will do in order to win /this/ particular war...

.... That's when everything goes straight to hell...
With the Rebels managing to escape the buildings, many of them are not as lucky to escape the incoming explosion that gives off. All four of the buildings undergo a heavy explosion, spreading all across the area.
Flames wash along the atmosphere, becoming nothing more than a pure inferno. The force of the impact draws the Stray Dog to fly against the ground, but he immediately rolls over to keep himself moving against falling into unconsciousness. Instead, he falls on his rear end, staring forth to see the ugliness.
"...Damnit..." Fire everywhere.. all of those people killed... Everything was in vain. "...Shit..."
"<<All surviving Rebels... regroup and rest... >>"
"..Not good.."

Rolento is going to PAY for the lives lost this day. Ken Masters will make sure of that. And perhaps not even Geese Howard will get in his way. Okay, maybe Geese WILL, but well, Ken might get lucky and throw him off a building.
