Match of the Millennium

Description: Lelantos goes to confront DJ Dionysus about the wild parties his daughter Aura has been going to. Lelantos tries to make any further parties unseen while DJ Dionysus tries to make Lelantos face the music.

[SARAH]
She knows how to get the party started, and she never needs shoes for it.

She's DJ Supernova, a.k.a. Sarah Ashley Kuzumi and she--

Hold on... That's not what's going on here.

DJ Dionysus hosted a party and someone attended who shouldn't have been there. Someone named Aura.

While Dionysus enjoyed seeing everyone there, she's not aware that Aura's father, Lelantos, is quite angry about his daughter breaking curfew and attending a party.

Right now Dionysus is just relaxing by a waterfall, enjoying the fresh air and the sound of the waterfall is music to her ears. "Sometimes, the best music is the one made by nature," She muses to herself.

[KENZO]
Kenzo for his part is dressed in his stand combat suit with a fancy maroon tunic with gold trim on the edges to make it look like he's part of the ancient Greek aristocracy. He rappels down the waterfall to get down to where DJ Dionysus (Seriously, that's a really cool DJ name) is located.

"I don't know what's more annoying... The fact that your music is so good that my daughter stays out past her curfew to enjoy it, or that it's so good that I can't say anything negative about it when I really want to."

He pulls out his chain weapon and spins it around as he takes his stance.

"No matter. I'll fight you right now. No more music means no more reason for my daughter to stay out!"

[SARAH]
Just like Kenzo, Sarah is also dressed for the occasion, wearing a white tunic as well as a matching skirt. She has opted to remain barefoot instead of wearing Grecian sandals like some might. Nevertheless, Sarah... OK, Dionysus, is quick to react when she hears someone call out to her. (And yes, DJ Dionysus is a cool name, but Sarah's not changing her name!)

"Stop my music, you say?" Sarah asks as she gets up and starts to move in the ginga. "I will not be taken down so easily! Prepare yourself!"

To emphasize her point, Sarah does a few Capoeira-style attacks to show she means business. "Have at you!"

Kenzo nods as he watch the DJ move. He waits until the official, dressed in a black and white striped toga (because why not) signals the start of the fight.

No sooner than the signal is given, Kenzo whips out the weighted end of the chain, crackling with electricity as he attempts to wrap it around her waist and pull her in close before he slashes with the sickle of the chained weapon.

"Finally getting a chance to see how you fight in person."

"You will be amazed by how well I fight," Dionysus says with a smile as she readies herself for the first incoming attack. Unfortunately, she's not quite expecting such a unique attack, and despite her best effort to get out of the way, she finds herself ensnared... with a bit of a shock to boot!

Dionysus yowls as she finds herself caught in this tight situation, but she's not about to give up that easily. "You have made a mistake doing this to me!" She yells as she brings an arm back and shoots forth a large butterfly-shaped projectile.

As Kenzo sees the butterfly projectile being formed, he has a flashback to being side by side with Mint at the Ultratech HQ in Metro City with the picture of Sarah sending a energy buterfly just like the that is coming for him right now. They're too close and so he doesn't have the room to avoid it. He deflects it instead, forcing a slight exhalation of breath from him instead.

He then lets the chain go slack, releasing the capoeirista from the chain and freeing him to start attacking with it. The chain goes in a figure eight pattern as he attempts to strike Sarah with the weighted end multiple times in rapid succession with the electrified weight.

This time, Dionysus decides to play more defensively, opting to block instead of attempting to avoid the incoming attack. Even in a defensive stance, though, it still hurts like hell.

Dionysus winces a little as she gets back into the ginga. "Quite a shocking experience, no?" She comments, making a bad pun at nobody's expense (hopefully.)

Moving in a little closer, Dionysus leaps up and attempts to perform a spinning kick while in the air, aiming at her opponent directly.

"Truly electrifying."

As the capoeirista moves in closer to perform the jumping spinning kick, Kenzo ducks under while bringing his arms up for insurance. This causes the kick to glance off his forearm causing him to his hiss upon impact. As he backs away.

Now that he's relatively safe, he attempts to time a chain trip for right when Sarah is landing from her jumping attack. Should that initial trip be successful, he will then follow up with a slash to the torso of the ideally downed capoeirista.

Never underestimate this young lady. Whether she's Sarah, Supernova, or Dionysus, she's truly unpredictable. Quick on her feet and stronger than she looks, the young lady is capable of many unique things!

Including defending effortlessly against the incoming attacks. The first attack is knocked away with such efficiency it's almost like she was striking at air!

"Nice try, but you're gonna have to do better than that!" Dionysus says as she drops down onto her hand and then spins around, attempting to strike her opponent with her higher leg and bring him down. If that works, she'll follow up with the lower leg to complete the attack!

The electro-ninja, in an act of desperation, dive rolls under the higher leg and comes out of it outside of the range of the lower leg. He rises back to his feet and then takes a breath before getting back into his stance.

All of the theoretical strategies he had for facing Sarah hadn't exactly worked out for him but maybe some tweaking might help. He twitches as he feints a grappling entry attempting to sell the threat of taking her down. With the hope of making her believe that his next grappling is fake, he darts in and attempts to perform a body lock as he wraps his arms around the capoeirista and takes to the air. At the peak of the jump, he tilts backwards and attempts to dive bomb the ground, Sarah's head first.

You know what they say: What goes up must come down.

And in this case, Dionysus goes up into the air with her opponent, and then she comes down head first. Ouch.

"Ungh... oooh..." The girl stands up slowly, a bit on the dazed side. "I'm sorry, Athena, but I didn't know that the horses were sleeping late," She babbles before slapping herself a few times and bringing herself back to reality.

"Nice trick, but don't think you've won anything just yet," Dinoysus says as she brings her focus back into the fight. "You've got your tricks and I've got mine too!" She proceeds to perform a somersault into the air, stopping only halfway as she plants her hands on Kenzo's shoulders.

If she manages to pull this off, she'll push off and complete her somersault, albeit while spinning around to deliver a kick from behind!

Kenzo's first thought was that he should move forward to avoid the acrobatics in order to grab his shoulder. Unfortunately, that little bit of hesitation is all it takes for 'DJ Dionysus' to get her hands on 'Lelantos' and from there it's a simple matter for her to kick him sending him stumbling face first to the ground.

The ninja scrambles to his knees before rolling over to bring himself facing the capoeirista.

"I don't think you've had opportunity to see all of my tricks."

Kenzo seems to be a bit of distance away but that almost instantaneously changes when all of a sudden, he's in Sarah's personal space slashing her torso with the sickle of his kusari-gama.

Sarah finds that Kenzo is quite a sharp opponent. A bit too sharp.

One moment, he's far away, and then the next thing she knows, he's in her face.

And that does not leave her time to react to his attack with his kusari-gama. Sarah finds that the weapon hurts quite a bit.

"Oy... that was a clever trick..." Sarah says as she grits her teeth through the pain, wiping the blood from her torso in hopes of avoiding staining her clothing.

Sarah gets back into the ginga, trying to grit her teeth through the pain still as she advances on Kenzo. And then she delivers a backflip, intent on stirking Kenzo with a swift kick as she backflips.

Up to this point, Kenzo has only been using his kusari-gama to fight Sarah. As Sarah makes her approach in the swaying dance of ginga, she'll notice Kenzo quickly stowing his chained weapon and swapping it for his fan. That would be the first clue that something is about to change. The second is the smell of ozone coming from his body.

As Sarah's foot connects with his body, he releases a sphere of electrical energy letting it run through her as Sarah is airborne. He didn't come out of it unscathed though. He stumbles backwards from the impact before shifting into a defensive stance holding up his fan between them with his body crackling with energy.

"Not bad."

[SARAH]
Shocking, isn't it?

At least that's how it feels for poor Sarah, who gets shocked and falls to the ground flat on her face. She winces a little before pushing herself back onto her feet to go again, albeit while gritting her teeth. "Nngh... why?"

Once she's back in the ginga, Sarah looks at Kenzo. "Seems I'm on the losing end. I'm gonna have to get extreme!" With that, Sarah takes a few deep breaths, preparing herself for the pain that she'll be feeling in a minute. After that, she launches into a cartwheel, all while gritting her teeth through the pain. She intends to stun Kenzo with the cartwheel.

If she succeeds, she'll perform a spinning kick like the one before to bring him down, and then finish off with a rising uppercut infused with chi.

How will she do this without screaming? That's a secret only Sarah knows.

Kenzo watches Sarah come in with the cartwheel. He has to admit that her movement was interesting. They were unusual and if it wasn't for him having been a fan of film, he probably would be having more trouble dealing with this attack. Her first cartwheel kick connects with the fan, then the spinning kick with the fan driving it into his body. The chi enhanced uppercut gets turned aside with the fan.

Kenzo starts breathes a sigh of relief before focusing in on Sarah one more time. He closed his fan while still maintaining that defensive looking stance.

He takes a swipe with fan across her face before skipping backwards. That stance still being maintained and the electricity still crackling all over body.

A fan of Sarah's, huh?

Wrong fan, it seems.

The fan strikes Sarah and sends her staggering backwards. She grits her teeth as she looks at Kenzo and, in a last-ditch effort, throws a projectile at him before falling flat on her face. If he looks closely it might resemble a butterfly.

Not that it matters to Sarah.

Kenzo watches as the energy butterfly comes in. The defensive stance was a double edged sword for the ninja. On one hand, the defensive stance didn't do much for his mobility and so he doesn't quite manage to get out of the way. On the other hand, the electricity coming from his body interfered with the butterfly causing it to not do as much damage as it normally would.

He looks down at Sarah's fallen form and walks away.
