Match of the Millennium

Description: NFG brings together two friends and car destruction partners to fight each other in the final tournament of the season. In the end, one person's journey in the tourney continues while the other comes to the end of the line.

[KENZO]
After the brackets have set, the fighters go forth to take on each other in the final match ups of the NFG. This fight has friends and former car bash team mates facing off against each other. One moves forward and the other faces elimination. The stakes are high since there are no more further rounds in this particular season of the NFG.

Because of those raised stakes, Kenzo selected a different ring entrance theme (when one pilots a drone to drop him off into the ring you can't exactly call it a walk out theme) for this particular fight. He selected it for multiple reasons. First, the artists themselves came from Metro City. Second, theme of it touching upons beginnings and endings, seemed appropriate due to the tournament being at the beginning of the final part of the tournament and how it will be that final time that one of them will be able to be part of this tournament.

The song opens with three hits on the snare before a piano and bass guitar come in with sounds that originate from funk while a hip hop beat plays underneath. (Dujeous - First/Last) About 20 seconds in, rap lyrics come in as Kenzo walks to the ring, waving to the crowd with the barriers preventing any repeats of his last fight. By the time song reaches the hook, Kenzo slides into the ring and gets to the center.

🎵 'We don't do this just to pass time' 🎵

Kenzo holds his hands wide open as he takes in the cheers and the boos.

🎵 'So when I blast mine' 🎵

Kenzo turns his palms upwards as he sends electricity up into the air.

🎵 'Put your hands up' 🎵

Kenzo continues to send the stream upwards as he puts his hands up in the air.

🎵 'Like it's the last time' 🎵

The ninja cuts the stream of electricity off as he looks out into the crowd.

🎵 'You know we birth rhyme' 🎵

Kenzo brings his hands close to himself near his stomach while electricity jumps from hand to hand.

🎵 'And even though it hurts, I'm' 🎵

Kenzo then covers his entire body in electricity, looking downwards to the mat.

🎵 'Rockin' for you like it's my first time' 🎵

Kenzo then points to the crowd as the electricity jumps from his fingertips towards the crowd but never going beyond the limits of the ring. He then spins around while continuing to point as if to say that it's for everyone in the crowd. After Kenzo completes the 360 degree turn. The electricity and the music cuts off simultaneously.

[AYALA]
Ayala would have made her feelings known to Kenzo before, when they were having that party with their mutual friends. She'd have explained how this is kind of tough for her, though it's not the first time she's had to fight someone she liked in the NFG. So she didn't want Kenzo to hold back either. She wanted to really test eachother and give their all for this. With that out of the way...

"Whoooo! Neo Fighters Generation, lets go!" Ayala splashes liquid from a sports drink bottle into her maw before fluffing her hair back and cracking her knuckles, appearing on the path leading up to the ring, before casually stalking towards it. She's in her usual cavegirl attire, with addition of the sneakers they having her wear just for safety reasons, since people weren't sure how much traction her fur boots had, exactly. No sense splitting your head open over tradition, and all that. Ayala's theme music is some kind of tribal beat with a lot of drums and chanting, probably some library Africa-esque track the producers got together for her. She had tried to show off some of her people's music and dances to folks before, and well... lets just say it was probably something that looked better when everyone was also partying.

Grabbing the bottom ropes she slides herself in underneath it, rolling as she did so, while snapping up into a stand quickly, her fur tail scarf whipping around, and so does that curly blonde hair of hers.

"Lets go Gadget Man, give people good fight!" she raises a fist, grinning at him and saluting her fans before getting into position--a little wary of the electricity Kenzo had been firing off there. Some of her hair is probably standing up comically due to the static in the air.

"Of course. I'd rather not have a reputation for an easy or a boring fight."

Kenzo quickly frees his chained-weapon and holds the sickle in one hand while the other holds the chain closer to the weighted end, spinning it in a circle. He is on the balls of his feet as he waits for the official to start the fight. Kenzo finds himself blocking the spectators out of his mind. There is only the person in front of him.

When the signal is given to start, the ninja steps forward while he reaches for his belt and charges the metal orb that should be familiar, after all, he did use it in their bonus stage. The metal ball drops to the ground and rolls towards the primal fighter's feet. If she was wary of the electricity he was tossing around before the fight, she should definitely be wary of the burst of electricity coming from his device. That being said, Kenzo has learned from the lessons taught at the Rumble. If sent to the crowd, it should release the burst before it gets to the crowd and only risking them being hit with a ball of metal.

"Okay, lets go!" Ayala is still really high energy and ripped about this, the anticipation already sheathing her in a veil of perspiration. Anticipation, anyway--less fear, as her grin demonstrates.

"Whooo!" she holds her up as the electricity surge goes off nearly in her face--her hair definitely sticking up and crackling with that electrical energy now, but she throws her hands back, apparently having stopped it somehow. The how remains to be seen.

"Ayala like shocks too--studied creatures from Expanse!" she pulled her right arm back and lunged for Kenzo, trying to deliver a flurry of punches toward the tech-based ninja's front.

"Hoo--Ayala like this, start off strong!"

The nin-gineer attempts to skip backwards and out of the range of the rapid fire barrage of punches. He doesn't quite get away from it and getting clipped on the chin ends up leading to Kenzo getting hit over and over then stumbling backwards. Though painful, Kenzo does recover enough from the combo to get his feet back under him.

Kenzo then grabs the chain once more begins to spin the kusari-gama before performing a horizontal swing at Ayala, attempting to bash her body with the weighted end. Ninja isn't done yet as he performs a quick vertical swing as a follow up.

"First strike, to you."

Back a ways from the ring, by the entrance reserved for cargo trucks and construction vechicles usually utilized in the assembly and disassembly of the various stages that this vast venue is accoustmed to hosting, looms a particularly gargantuan presence. One Kongou, self titled 'Strongest Titan', sits, cross legged, and watching the battle form afar with a big grin on his face and massive arms folded and resting upon his expansive billboard like torso. Dark shades rest on his flat nose and he's outfitted with a massive tee-shirt with the Team Blaze logo atop it, a stylish vest, jeans painted with different colors as if it were the victim of a drive by graffitti assault, and gigantic red and grey gym shoes in a sort of wild custom fit that only Drippin' Style could manage given its reputation and clientale.

But this isnt' about how stylin' he's looking. It's about Ayala, one of those sheltered under the chaotic destructive wings that was Team Blaze and he looks on with genuine approval at the ebb and flow of the match.

Kenzo, however, does not go without attention from the behemoth. He had mentioned before that he enjoyed the entrance of the ninja to The Rumble and he's no less disappointed here. electricity flashes against Ayala's speed and muscle, the giant declares a rumbling, "Very good!" in open encouragement of both fighters as they persist in the ring.

[AYALA]
To be fair, Ayala wasn't lying, and she is really giving it to him here--she can feel a bead of sweat fly from her face as her punches wind down--and Ayala is just getting started. She is almost a little worried for Kenzo after that--it didn't look to her like he rolled with them.

Realizing that weight is sailing toward her, she knows if she will probably have to try to block it--but her feet leave the ring floor, sailing towards Kenzo with her hands curled into claws and her teeth bared.

The weight impacts with her side, but it doesn't stop her from sailing through the air towards him--her body surging with energy as she tries to viciously claw and bite at him--mauling him like a big cat!

Kenzo watches as Ayala launches herself right for him with both eyebrows raised and probably wide-eyes under his combat specs. He does not want to be pounced on like he was dinner. He has no choice but to react quickly. The chain intercepts the hands keeping them from putting deep scratches on him and his suit. Then the bite comes in and he gets the chain right between her teeth.

Where the head goes, the rest of the body will follow so Kenzo pushes on the chain to shove Ayala backwards, more to reposition her than actually do damage. Once he has the space that he wants, he then goes after her.

Ayala might find that Kenzo had gone from a bit of distance away to suddenly in her face again, only this time, it's on Kenzo's terms. He delivers a slash right to the brutal fighter's abdomen.

Ayala finds herself gnashing teeth and snarling as her hands meet chain instead of his body, her fingers clawing at the links as she is kept from her beastial assault. The chain winds up slipping between her teeth and she has to remember not to bite down on it--instead it's like a restraint on the cavewoman. She whips her head this way and that trying to free herself, stumbling as she's shoved backwards.

"Ptui--Gadget man trained hard and developed more technique!" she puts up her guard just as the ningineer slashes at her chest, scoring a shallow line there, and giving him a distance advantage.

"Owww--rrrraaah!" she begins to steel herself, howling, nearly right back in his face--probably not the reaction he expected.

Yeah. Yelling in his face, was not exactly the reaction he was expecting. Or at least, not the reaction he was expecting without an attack immediately following right after. Well if she's going to stay in close proximity and not attack, he might as well take advantage of it.

The old boy of Justice lunges in, hoping to get a hold of the bestial fighter's waist. Should he manage that, he will take to the air with Ayala as an unwilling passenger on Gadget-Man Airlines before tilting backwards, nose diving and sending them crashing, Ayala's head first.

Kenzo might've mentioned none of the moves so far are particularly new techniques, they were just techniques that Kenzo never had an opportunity to show off until later on in the season. Of course getting howled at from close range tends to cut most conversations off at the kneecaps.

Ayala /did/ try to wriggle out of Kenzo's grasp, but she winds up getting grabbed and hauled up by Kenzo's lift system there to bring her down in a really harsh spinning piledriver! Or Izuna Drop. She winds up taking it--but taking it like a champ, meanwhile rolling to get up. As she whips her head up, there's a trickle of blood from her nose, which she wipes away with a grin. It's not a vindictive leer, it's more than that. She's actually pretty impressed with his technique, it would appear, at least from her face and body language.

Wasting little time she ran backwards and did a bounce off the ropes of the ring furthest away from Kenzo, using the lift and speed to jump--sailing through the air with her fist headed directly for his midsection! Her scarf and long blonde hair whipping along with her, she is putting her all into this attack!

Kenzo's readouts are going critical. From the moment he sees the rope go tight and the way Ayala's legs coil up before the moment of takeoff. What's coming is going to be coming in fast and hard.

The combo specs are right though they might have understated the danger Kenzo was in. As Ayala flies towards him, he realizes she's coming in too fast to use his fan to defend. He just didn't have time to pull it free. He desprately drops the chain on end to reinforce his grip on the sickle in an attempt to block the powerful punch. The combination of her overwhelming power and her momentum drives the handle back into his stomach and folds him as well as sliding him backwards. Fortunately for the ninja, it's not nearly as bad as it could've been.

Kenzo suddenly leaps over to the corner, up on the top turnbuckle and then leaps into air doing a flip with a half-turn to reposition himself so he watch and gain more info.

"Oof," Ayala landed after her fist glanced off Kenzo's weapon, tumbling and bouncing off the ropes of the wring itself, throwing her back into the ring on her back. It definitely bounced him back, but her flying punch did not land. Damn.

"Ayala impressed--Gadget man came very far," she whips her head around, realizing that Kenzo has been saving his strength over there and she just used a lot of hers on that. She needs to throw a wrench into the mix here. She grabs a chair leaned up against the side of the ring, from over the edge and hauls it up, still folded, she half spins as she hurls it toward Kenzo with all her might! The colorful NFG branded folding chair sails right toward the Ningeneer!

[KONGOU]
"This is exciting!" declares Kongou, unfolding his arms and leaning forward abit. He rests both of his hands against his knees as he peers towards the ring and then glances up towards the various oversized monitors placed throughout the arena to give a better view of the action to those further away.

"They seem evenly matched...." he adds, musing as much to himself as to any listener close enough to hear his basso rumbling voice...which is pretty much everyone around him. "Whoever wins this will have a victory well earned!"

Kenzo finds himself confronted by a flying chair. Kenzo put so much into defending that really heavy punch that he wasn't prepared to deal with a chair to the face.

*KLANG!!!*

Stumbles around, slightly dazed before he finally gets his feet back under himself.

"Alright, then. "

Kenzo suddenly starts spinning the weighted end of the kusari-gama before sending it right for Ayala's neck. The start up is similar to his Deadly Electrocutioner only slightly faster, slightly more direct. Should Kenzo get the chain wrapped around her neck, a jolt of electricity gets sent through it, then Kenzo will yank Ayala right into a side kick to the stomach before following up with another hold over from his Deadly Electrocutioner. He stomps on the chain to bring her down to the ground. Next, he'd whip her up and over to slam her on her back before leaping on her to place his knee on belly and then pulling out his war fan to whack her repeatedly with it, utilizing it like an electrified baton.

Here it is--the moment everyone's been waiting for. Ayala takes a running start to her flying kick, spending the rest of her strength available on this next strike--

The cavewoman's eyes light up, as does the rest of her as she's caught by the suddenly electrified chain sickle, which proceeds to shock the heck out of her as she writhes about on the ground--unable to really do much about it.

"Ahh ahh ahhh--get it off--get it off!" she rolls about, her hair standing straight up... Again.

[KENZO]
As the electricity from his move gets cut off, Kenzo looks down at Ayala writhing on the ground as she attempts to recover from the debut of his electrifying attack. Between the chain wrapping around her neck making it difficult to breathe and attacking her while he had his knee on her belly further compromising her ability to breathe, it would difficult (but not impossible) for her to defend against what he hoped would be the deciding attack.

He pounces on the fallen Ayala much like she had attempted earlier but then picks her up and slams her down to the ground and after attempting to deliver two hammer fists, aided by his war fan, he rolls off to beat a hasty retreat.

Ayala is indeed picked and thrown around like that--like a ragdoll the cavewoman's long blonde hair flails about, as does the rest of her--but the fates here have clearly decided their victor, and it's not quite her. As she rises from the mat, she attempts to whip around and swing her legs in a less than graceful fashion at Kenzo. She is however, seriously screwed up from that electrocution chain attack, and it's not long before she collapses from her assault, falling flat onto the mat, totally out of it.

COMBATSYS: Ayala can no longer fight.

The ninja watches as Ayala rises back to her feet. He doesn't need his combat specs to know how rough his opponent is feeling right now. As she swings those legs at him, the ninja manages to slip, duck, and rolls out of the way of the kicks before the primal warrior falls to the canvas.

The ninja bows to Ayala's form and then the exertion from the fight finally catches up to him before he leans on the turnbuckle. He does raise a fist in victory while waiting out the fatigue and as the medical crew go to remove Ayala from the ring.

COMBATSYS: Kenzo takes a moment to do absolutely nothing.
