Match of the Millennium

Description: Djamila tries her luck by giving Chloe a call and challenging her to a fight at Marble Lake. Will the poledancer's risk pay off or will the pussycat popstar punish her?

The new place for Team Metal is very interesting. Part of Ultratech American Headquarters, as far as she understood it. It really seems like a state of the art training facility and a good place to relax too. The only thing is the living arrangment feels so. It feels a bit like an hospital room. She doesn't know why exactly, just how it feels. She needs to get out of here again.

She's thinking of something. She gets her phone and dials a number. The number belongs to Lady Chloe of all people. She considers herself 'Lucky' to have it. "Hey Chloe, it's Djamila! Listen, beside being an amazing singer, you're also a fighter. I would like to fight you. I don't want you to hold back at all. I want you to give me all you have. I want to see how much I evolved."

She lets it sink in before she continues. "I would ask my mentors, but like, they usually hold back. I understand why, but I need someone who won't. Are you cool with that? Think of the publicity. Lucky Chloe, helping a NFG friend to gauge herself or something." She gives some care to her staff while she awaits the answer of her friend. She really hopes she will get that opportunity. Win or lose, she is sure she will learn new things about herself.

Lucky Chloe had agreed to Djamila's request, which is how she comes to find herself standing on one of the walkways that surround Metro Park's Marble Lake. It's mid morning and a moderately warm twenty three degrees celsius but the humidity is high, which is why the perky pop idol has forsaken her usual pussycat costume and is instead dressed in a pair of hot pink running shorts and a matching sports bra. Her long locks are pulled back into a twist at the nape of her neck and secured with a satin scrunchie. Beneath this are multiple hair grips hidden by the silky fabric. On her hands are pair of cotton cat paw gloves, less padded than those that are attached to her usual hoody but they give a nod to the girl's gimmick.

Chloe has followed the New Fighting Generation tour to Metro City for two reasons. The first, to spend some time in the city of her birth, a place she barely remembers since she was a mere babe when her parents relocated with her to Southtown. Secondly, to get to know her current beau Brian Storm better. The wild wrestler is still attached to the fighting project as a standby, despite losing his permanent place to Hated R in a dance off. Which reminds Chloe, she should contact Hated about doing a collab. It could give her some much needed edge in the teens and twenties demographic. She currently rates best with the tweeners.

As she awaits the arrival of her companion in combat, Chloe contemplates her time in Metro City so far. She's visited the place she was born, checked out all the local tourist sights, had some amazing food in Chinatown, shopped till she almost dropped and done a lot of smooching with Storm. She's also been following the reaction to her latest video, Kiss of Life which has gone viral. It's not quite the vibe she was going for and the results of the Sunshine City shoot may have come off as more comedic than cool but she's going with it. All publicity is good publicity right?

Now though, she's relieved to get outside and be active for a while. Her dancer's body is used to being exercised regularly and a fight could be just the workout she needs. It beats the treadmill any day.

Djamila has been really happy Lucky Chloe accepted her request. She knew she wouldn't hold back, because she's a real bi.. tiger sometimes on set. She knows what she wants. It's a good model for the fighting world.

She makes her way to the agreed area, Marble Lake, in Metro City. She has security stills following her, just different. She keeps them at a distance most of the time, but it still a safety net. Especially while she is in the city her father lives in. He used to anyway. She didn't make any research.

Now she can feel somewhat Lucky Chloe in the distance, and she lifts one hand to wave to her. Her staff has seen better days. Yet, compared to how it was after Junko, it looks much better. Almost as if the staff has healed too. Djamila looks good. Seems she had enough meditations and wind to heal her own body.

When she gets closed enough to Lucky Chloe, she greets. "Hello, thank you for accepting this. It means a lot to me. I will not forget that." She is wearing black today. Black short shorts, black sport bra, black blindfold, black boots. No orange for her today.

Djamila didn't visited her father place. She's not really in the mood for that. Maybe one day before they leave Metro City. She still has time.

She settles her staff down, when she is close enough. "So, fighting until either of us can't stand back up anymore, that's cool with you?" She gives a smile. She has no expectation from this. She will give her best and go with it.

By the time Djamila joins her, a small crowd has gathered at Marble Lake. The majority of them have their phones out, ready to snap photos or film footage of the fight that's about to enfold. Amidst this crowd is a young reporter with the official New Fighting Generation broadcast, ready to report back any gossip to the legends that are Tom and Lou.

"Hey, Djamila" Chloe singsongs, looking the exotic dancer up and down. "All black today hm? Does this mean you're playing the heel?" Maybe she's been spending too much time with a wrestler.

She starts to stretch out her fit frame, readying herself for the battle ahead. "Don't worry. I won't be holding back. I never hold back in life. If you beat me then it's fair and square and I'll be seriously impressed. Just don't try and drown me like you did poor Daisuke!"

She gives a girlish giggle, her paw moving to her pink painted mouth and then twists around, spinning forward rapidly to try and deliver a quick-fire series of horizontal chops with her paws to Djamila's midsection.

"So many people, you sure are popular." Djamila says at her friend, now opponent for the time being. Of course a small percentages are probably some fans of hers too. But she's not crazy enough to think she is the main draw here.

"Just that I look good in black, and I have to take you seriously." She chuckles

She stretches as well a little bit, then answers that last bit. "Thank you, and I will try not to. I hope you know how to swim." She teases."

Then it starts. She blocks the first chops, but she gets through with the other, hitting in Djamila in the midsection. So that's what a professional fighter is like. It hurts, she must admit, but she isn't down for the count. "Well, you proved it to me you're not holding back. Thank you indeed." She then sets her staff down and jumps on it. She extends her legs, and lets herself spin down on the staff. Hoping to hit her with kicks. If lucky, even several times. She is not discourage. It's not for the win, but for the experience in itself.

"Yes, I have plenty of fans" Chloe admits. It's more of a fact than a boast from the blonde. "So does the New Fighting Generation though. You guys are the freshest thing to hit the fighting world in years." A beaming smile follows her words. Perhaps she's playing the friendly feline today!

Not so friendly she isn't thrilled when she manages to land one of her chops on Djamila though. "Let's call that a warm up" she grins gleefully. She doesnt let the gloating get in the way of being ready for the revenge though.

As Djamila comes at her with spinning kicks, she's quick to react, saving herself from the full force of the formidable dancer. Not before her exposed knee takes a stray strike however. She lets out a cat like yelp and then leaps forward, aiming a a dancing low kick to Djamila's shins and shouting "One, two!"

She then spins around, striking out with a quick jab of her left paw and then lashing out with her right paw in a straight punch. She'll try to follow this up with a spinning backfist smash, returning to her her left paw to do some additional damage!

"I've seen that. Well, so to speak anyway." She laughs. I have fans. We all have fans." She laughs, looking happy at this.

"A warm up it is then." She answers as she starts hitting good blocks from her friendly opponent. Though she hits a knee by the look of it, and that's good for her.

Right away, she's back up on the staff, as the low kick from Chloe. Then holding herself to said staff with her knee, she grabs that quick jab and pulls Chloe even closer to stop her in her track and punch her head several times with her fist before she let go. She smiles. "I think I can sitll surprise." She giggles a bit, but she knows this is not a win yet.

Lucky Chloe has been watching the New Fighting Generation matches and she's not dumb enough to expect this fight with Djamila to be a foregone conclusion. The poledancer has performed solidly so far. Whilst far from the finished article (which fighter is?), she has some impressive moves in her repertoire.

So when the streetdancer sees her own attack used against her, she isn't too surprised. She is impressed with the Iraqi's speed and strength.

As she's released from the procession of punches she takes a moment to rub at her scalp, feeling the stinging and swelling that has already started in the sensitive spot. Once she's recovered enough, she rushes forwards, seeking to slam her elbow into Djamila hard enough to knock her to the ground.

she flips herself upside down and lets the elbow pass by or hit her staff, holding on tigh. She shows her speed again. She's lucky because she can also see Lucky Chloe speed, and she's almost impress at having gone fast enough for this. "I thought you were faster than this." She teases her friend in a friendly little bander.

Then she lets her lower body drop to give a kick to her friend's head with her foot. Before landing on the ground. It's not super hard, but everything counts.

Either way, she says. "Thank you, Chloe for this. Whatever happens, this is a learning experience I will be able to take in NFG." She beams.

Chloe has been far too long in the fame game to fall for the old teasing taunt attack. She's as mentally strong as they come and so she merely smiles to herself as Djamila questions her speed.

When the kick comes flying in towards her head, threatening to target the tender spot on her scalp, she rocks on to her back foot to escape it. She isn't quite fast enough to escape it fully and the other girl's toes graze against her, causing Chloe to grit her teeth.

Shaking off the pain, she's soon cheerful again, clapping her paws together and rearing back, before stepping in towards Djamila and twirling into a double-axe-handle, smashing her into the air with her paws.

"You're welcome!" she calls out. "It's about time I was back in action."

She giggles, and when her kick hits, it's good. Yet, Lucky Chloe got really fast to counter her and smashed her suddenly upward and away from her staff. She flies up and then lands hard on the ground.

Now, one might expect she will mediate now, but she does something else entirely. She stands back up, takes a deep breath, put one foot against the opposite knee. She then brings her hands together. It looks weird, but she seems to power herself up a little.

Meanwhile, her staff is still up, the chi at the base still going strong. Djamila does look beaten up some. Though she has seen worse and is in no way ready to stop this. "Come on."

COMBATSYS: Djamila puts her right foot on the inside of her left thigh, brings her hands together and looks like she's praying for a short moment.

Chloe is curious about what Djamila is up to as she stands there steady on her staff. Her invitation to "Come on" attracts the agile idol forwards and she flings herself towards the dancer, swinging her arms and striking a pose with her hands on her hips as she thrusts her foot down at Djamila's shin.

It's certainly not the most powerful attack the pussycat popstar can deliver but it will be painful none the less, should it bash into the bone.

Djamila tried something new, to gain more control over her body. Yet, when it's time to move out of the way of a simple kick, she isn't used to how her body feel. She doesn't quite move out of the way, and it catches her shin in the worse way, with the pain jumping at her. "Oof. I looked silly now." She grins. She takes it in good will however. It's up to her to learn better with this thing. Or not use it. The choice was hers.

But Djamila is not ready to stop yet. She brings her staff over head and spins it, making winds, which she grows with the chi. She uses the pain to grow it out. Then she brings the staff in front of herself, still spinning it. If she has her way, she hits Lucky chloe with both her staff and the wind chi several times before she stops spinning.

"You don't look silly" Chloe counters. "You're still honing your style. Not to mention your body with all those pole positions you pull off."

As the spinning staff seeks to strike her, the singer is startled by the combined force of the whirling and the wind. She puts up a pretty good fight, focusing on fending off the full force of the cruel combo but she can't do so completely.

She pushes back at the weapon with as much might as she can muster but it costs the cat girl. Her hands are hurting and her muscles are burning with trying to hold it off. The fact she's straining, sees the wind sweep her off her feet and she lands on her backside with a bump, making sure she is likely to be left with some bad bruising.

"Ouch" she frowns, forcing herself back to her feet. "Alright, Djamila. You wanna play rough? My turn then!"

The fiercely familiar cry of "Here we go!" can be heard, causing the onlookers to gasp in anticipation. Those who are here to support Djamila look on with dread, whilst the Lucky lovers look to be almost leaping with joy at the fact their favourite move is about to come into play.

Turning around and dropping down on her hands, Chloe puts on a stunning display, starting to rapidly breakdance, as she aims to kick Djamila repeatedly with her outstretched legs and then looks to kick her into the air with both feet. If she manages and Djamila drops back down towards her, she will leap into the air with a victorious shout of "Oh yeah!" while thrusting her right paw triumphantly upward - just in time to smash it into her opponent's descending body.

Pulling off her move perfectly will see the pussycat impersonator striking a pose with one paw up to her ear.

"I am showing you what I can. I might not be quite your level, but I can hurt." Djamila says softly in answer to wanna play rough. "But you are showing me a lot."

She knows when she hears the here we go, she is in probably in a world of pain. She goes on her staff, hoping to be able to do something there. But she's not high enough on it, and she starts to receives the kick on her already battered body. She ends up in the air from the last kick.

Then, as Chloe comes join her in the air with a leap and a cry of war, she gets hit in a sort of uppercut that rocks her whole body, and it even ends up with her staff toppling over, and Djamila lands hard on it.

She seems out for the count, but with an inner strength that forces her body to give one last push, she stands back up with her staff. "Just one more thing." She said through a close jaw, her body hurting everywhere. But she takes a step toward her friend, and she sweeps at her feet. If she manages to make her fall, she slams her staff in her midsection while also using winds to push it harder in. After that, whether it succeeds or not, her body says 'Enough!' and she falls to the ground. "Oof, I am done." She says, not moving on the ground. She still conscious, but she certainly need that time off to recuperate her mobility. That was one hell of a move from Chloe.

"You're new to this" Chloe says calmly, considering the other combatant.

The dance diva's most deadly attack does it's most dangerous damage to Djamila, dealing out pain and punishment to the pole wielder. After her showstopping sequence, she holds her pose, waving her paws at the crowd and then prepares to pounce on any follow ups by her faltering foe.

The cry of "Just one more thing" is worthy of Columbo, a show that Chloe has seen the reruns of on cable during her childhood. The detective show dubbed into Japanese is quite the thing to behold.

The attack that arrives after it sees the singer being swept off her feet. Lucky Chloe is a determined soul however and when the winds come to whirl her away, she resists, pressing her paw gloves into the ground and fending off any further damage.

Resting there to recover, she eventually rises, hurtling over to Djamila and offering her a helping hand (paw) up.

"That was excellent!" she enthuses, seeming genuine in her praise. She then starts a round of applause for her opponent that is soon echoed by the fighting fans observing.

Whether she would have been quite as gracious if she'd lost is another matter.
