Match of the Millennium

Description: Underneath a bridge, a goblin and a parkour loving Capoeirista go at it against each other! Who will emerge from under the bridge?

[NIXIE]
The park is certainly more pleasant than some parts of the city for Nixie, it's not directly in the sun after all. Was having the fight here someone's idea of a joke? She's a goblin not a troll after all. At least she's able to take part this time, unlike the last fight she was suppose to take part in. It was certainly awkward for her to explain why she couldn't fight.

[SARAH]
When someone like Sarah hears the words 'Under The Bridge,' she thinks of classic rock music. It's a great song, sure, but what happens when you're actually under the bridge? When you're down there during the day, it's a perfectly fine place, but at night it's best to avoid that place unless you're on the wrong side of things. Fortunately, that's not the case for what's happening today, as it's not about anything illegal, but instead about the New Fighters Generation, where various fighters are demonstrating their skills and abilities!

Unlike Nixie, who's a bit awkward about this whole thing, Sarah's eager to get this thing started! The girl jumps down from the top of the bridge and lands with a roll before getting up and tipping her hat a little as if it's a signature of sorts. With a smile she looks at Nixie and says, "Hey there, you must be my opponent!" The blonde-haired tomboy pauses as she looks closer, as if scrutinizing the fact Nixie doesn't look quite human. Then she simply dismisses it as she says, "Let's see what you got!" From there, she gets into the ginga and waits to see what happens next.

[NIXIE]
"I guess so, you're certainly in a good mood." Nixie frowns a bit upon meeting her opponent. "I hope you know what you're getting into." She wonders if the girl would be so cheerful after they get done fighting. From what she's been able to find out is that her opponent is some kind of dance battler. Given how nimble she is, it should be an interesting fight at least.

[SARAH]
Capoeira is always an interesting style to those who have never seen it. And Sarah is more than happy to show it off to anyone she encounters. "Every fight is a new experience!" Sarah says cheerfully as she spins on the ball of her foot before getting back into the ginga. "Let's go!" With that, the bell rings and Sarah demonstrates what she's capable of by attempting to go in with a sweeping kick.

Nixie was expected Sarah to go in close, after all it's kind of hard to dance battle someone from a distance. She intends to exploit that until Sarah proves otherwise. A magic sigil appears underneath her opponent's feet. She better be quick on her feet if she doesn't want to detonate the explosive rune she's just placed on the ground.

[SARAH]
Mines? Here? That's a bit of an explosive--

BOOM!

Unfortunately, Sarah just misses and is knocked back by the explosion onto her back, but she rolls backwards and gets onto her feet again. "Whoa, now that's something I've never seen before!" Sarah says, her expression still as excited as ever. She gets back into her ginga stance, although there's a slight hint of pain on her left foot as she does this. Apparently, going barefoot when something like that happens can be painful.

And then Sarah throws forth a butterfly-shaped projectile of energy aimed right at Nixie. "I've got a few tricks up my sleeve too!"

Nixie tries to swat away the butterfly shaped projectile but seems to end up triggering it instead as she's briefly blinded by the light. The goblin rubs her blue eyes as she tries to see clearly. She wasn't expecting that either, it seems fighting Sarah soely from a distance isn't an option. She draws her sharpened metal straw and attempts to stab Sarah in the face with it.

Trying to stab Sarah? That's not going to work. "Sorry, but not this time!" The girl says as she spins around while dropping into a crouch briefly. After that, she stands up quickly and decides to keep the fight going. She attempts to go in with a Capoeira-styled punch, which looks more like she's twisting to the side instead of actually punching.

Nixie looks a bit annoyed as her attack misses, but returns the favor by dodge Sarah's counter. It seems they're both quick as she suspected. She's going to have to but more force into it as she swings the metal straw at Sarah once again, this time harder than before.

COMBATSYS: Sarah interrupts Fierce Strike from Nixie with Tornado Warning.

Sarah sees the metal coming at her, and as soon as it's within range, she puts her plan into action. The metallic weapon cuts into her flesh, but at the same time she's going down onto her side and then spinning around with a pair of spinning kicks, one high while the other is low, in an attempt to show Nixie that Sarah isn't playing around! "Whoa, that was something else!" Sarah says as she stands up, rubbing her arm in the spot where she was cut.

That's what Nixie gets for getting in close as both kicks manage to connect and make her stumble back a bit. Her opponent moving around so much was getting to be a bit frustrating for her. She would have to do something about that as digs through the pockets of her apron. The goblin pulls out a rather sticky explosive and tosses at Sarah's feet with the intent of hindering the girl's movement

Talk about getting caught in a sticky situation! Sarah is caught up in the glue grenade, which leaves her bare feet sticking to the ground. "Oh blimey, this is not what I expected!" She says while gritting her teeth. "But don't think just because you've got me stuck that I'm helpless!" The blonde-haired disk jockey manages to break one foot free, but then it gets stuck in the glue again. "Going to have to employ some strategy here!" Sarah attempts to perform a forwards diving roll, hoping the force of the dive will get her free, so she can roll towards Nixie and then perform an uppercut as she comes out.

Sarah's manages to make contact with the goblin and knocks her over with the uppercut. It takes a moment for Nixie to come to her senses after the blow and get back onto her feet. "I suppose a disc jockey would be able to appreciate a good show correct?" She wants to be flashy? Nixie can be flashy too as she removes several bombs from her pockets and tosses them at Sarah. Of course they're for more than show as they create a small display of fireworks.

COMBATSYS: Sarah blocks Nixie's Epic Explosives.

[SARAH]
Ever had one of those moments where you think, "Oh jeez, this is gonna suck?" That's what Sarah is thinking right now. Knowing she has no way to escape, she steadies herself for the explosion, attempting to defend as best as she can. Even when the fireworks are over, Sarah's still defending, and it's obvious she's got quite a few burns on her. "That... really... ugh..." Sarah can't quite find the words, but she still has a slight smirk. "You're quite the unique fighter, I'll give you that! Now let me show you something!" With that, Sarah attempts to launch into a cartwheel, intent on striking Nixie and stunning her long enough for a modified version of her double-spinning kick that will bring Nixie down a little ways, and then finishing with a rising chi-fused uppercut.

Nixie uses the fireworks display to her advantage to distract Sarah as she launches herself at the goblin. Still, it takes a great deal on her part and she's forced to leave herself wide open in order to do so. She's not able to get more then a brief sweep of her straw as most of her effort goes into to avoid being kicked again.

[SARAH]
She may be injured and she may be losing the fight, but Sarah won't give up that easily. When Nixie comes in, Sarah launches herself, feet first, at Nixie, her legs together and her arms pulled in as she spins around. "Ahh!" She calls out.

[NIXIE]
Nixie gets smacked around Sarah, at this point she just wants to finish her off. Still, the goblin is a bit winded from earlier still and doesn't manage to get off more then a simple kick at the girl. It would have to do.

Sarah is caught by the kick, and unfortunately it hurts more than one might think. Despite her best efforts, Sarah is down and out. As she drops to one knee, she looks up at Nixie and gives her a thumbs up. "Good fight," She says with a weak smile, before collapsing flat on her face.

Nixie looks down at Sarah, she hadn't figure that she was that close to being defeated but still she'll take it. Still, she's rather tired herself and lies down on one of the benches. She's going to need a moment to catch her breath after all of that.
