NFG Season One - Neo Fighter Girls

Description: Ayala heads over to Team Metal's turf in Sunshine to visit Djamila, and finds her having a get together with her girls.

[DJAMILA]
Sunshine Plaza. A good place to say goodbye as any. Djamila is saying goodbye to the girls who came to encourage her and watch one of her matches. "Thank you for coming. I am sorry I didn't win that one.". The girls are hugging her. "We didn't come for the win, we came for you. It was great to see you fight." One says. The others all agree.

A bit more hugs, than the taxi gets there. "I will miss you a ton." Djamila says as she helps them put their luggage in the back of the taxi." The girls smile at her. "We will miss you too. You're always in our thoughts, so keep it up. You will have more victories. A lot more." Djamila smiles, closes the door of the taxi once everyone is in and then waves at them. She misses them already as she watches the taxi leaves.

She is grateful to have such a great 'family.' But now, what to do? She's walking lazily around the plaza, listening to all the noises going on. Maybe she can find something or someone. Let's see what life has to offer. At least it's not raining at the moment. The sun feels relatively good on her face.

[AYALA]
Ayala has had better weeks. Her inexperience had led to another loss (albiet against a rather talented and gifted opponent) and this had led to some consequences. Notably getting sparred by Juri. Which... hurt, to say the least. 'Scary twin-tail woman' as Ayala informally referred to Juri Han was very strong, and very talented, and her fighting style didn't quite match up. Yet. She had no intention of giving up, of course. Still, it hurt. On a number of levels. Not getting worked over by Juri, exactly--just that she wasn't exactly representing her people here--though it did feel like she had learned a bit, at least--especially from that last bout. The water gun attack right before she unleashed her super had put her off-balance, made it harder to hit the farmgirl--she needed to watch out more for things like that.

Right now the cavewoman had been recovering more or less, while stopping by Team Metal's HQ in Sunshine to check up on a friend of hers. Finding out she wasn't there however, she almost got detoured by some street thugs that did look like they needed a 'poundin' as some of her friends had put it, and had made several catcalls at her as she walked by. Granted, she wasn't in her fur bikini getup today, more sports wear--lycra sports top and shorts, along with the converse sneakers and a small bag. She looked a bit like an escapee from a cycling competition, just a bit. She slightly missed her sabrecat tail scarf, damnit. She does however take the opportunity to run towards where they told her pole girl went--which was the plaza.

Ayala might not be hard to spot coming, all things considered.

[DJAMILA]
Djamila did hear about the loss Ayala took from Chevy. Though she didn't know she got beaten up (or spared) for it. Djamila wishes Ayala would win one. She feels strong and qualified for it. Maybe in time.

Djamila today is wearing an orange top and some short black shorts. She's not even wearing her hijab today. It felt too hot for that. Or maybe she wasn't in the mood. It happens sometimes too. But of course, she has her blindfold, and her staff, can't leave home without it.

Then suddenly she hears someone running. It feels familiar. Like she has a very particular step. She takes a chance. "Ayala?" She asks rather loudly, getting looks from some passersby. Because loud and blind, some people look at you weirdly.

She's hoping it's her she would like to see her recent friend. She moves her head from side to side as if she was looking for her friend. It would be normal without that blindfold over her eyes and her blindness

[AYALA]
"Heeeeey," Ayala calls as she skids to a stop, waving to the blindfolded woman, before awkwardly lowering her arm since well, she keeps forgetting. "Ayala came to say hi to Pole woman," she moves closer to Djamila and will give her a short hug, as girls meeting up tend to do, before stepping back.

"No head covering today?" she asks, apparently a little confused about that. Wasn't Djamila supposed to be wearing it all the time, or something? The cultures on this world still confused her, just a bit.

"Heard you out here back at your HQ, you out for a walk?" the cavewoman asks, careful not to put weight or bump into anything on herself that was still healing.

[DJAMILA]
Djamilla smiles "Hi Ayala. It's a pleasure." She also pats her back, but carefully. She also looks the worse for wear, though not as worse as after the fight. She heals herself slowly. She asks. "How are you doing?" She smiles more.

"No head covering because it's hot. I decided to go after my Caucasian roots today." She chuckles a bit. "I mean, you're not in fur either today, right? You're different." Somewhat she knows about that.

"My girls came to visit and watch one of my fights. They had to go back today, so we came here and said our goodbyes for now." A little sad, but she is still smiling. Her hair is almost touching the ground. But it looks healthy, so she must be taking care of it.

[AYALA]
"Ayala still alive, somehow," she gives a sort of nonchalant response to it, though it's clear she's also a little proud of it. Not her current state, so much as still being breathing. "They not kill Ayala yet," she says it in a way that makes it sound like 'so there's that!'. Ayala is indeed not in the fur bikini, Djamilla likely could tell from the hug, not needing to be sighted for that.

"Your girls? friends? family?" she doesn't seem entirely sure which type Djamilla means there.

"Ayala forgot pole lady's hair is so long..." she meanwhile leans around the blindfolded woman, peering at that nearly ankle length hair.

[DJAMILA]
"If anyone kills you, I will be very angry, and there will be hell to pay. I like you a lot." She states matter of factly. "I bet your fur was beginning to be hot. Since my hijab was." She chuckles.

She then explains her girls, "My girls are the girls who work at the strip club with me. I consider them family. They are the best." She stretches. "Would you like something to drink. I have enough money for both of us to have a little something." She smiles.

Yeah. Without the hijab, I can let them go down. I never cut them much, just enough so they don't end up rubbing on the ground. You can touch it if you want. I don't mind."

After that, Djamila waits to see if her friend is thirsty and if she's going to touch her hair. She's in no hurry today. The body needs to rest, and hell, for both of them or training will not be as good.

[AYALA]
"Had to wash it, too--need to be hand done," Ayala put a hand to her shoulder and rolled her neck about, popping a few joints. "It got a little bloody last match, also wet," she nodded. "Pelts of beasts rot if you don't make sure they dry out..." the cavewoman has experience in these sorts of matters.

"Ohh! strippy girls, I see," Ayala nods, without any sort of bashfulness about that. She didn't have the same set of moral sensibilities as most did around here.

"Ayala can pay, she still have money people threw her at your club from last time," the cavewoman grinned. Whatever had happened there she had likely been mistaken for one of the 'talent'.

"We walk? take Ayala hand?" she gestured to some bars down the way in the plaza.

[DJAMILA]
"Yeah, bet it takes special care to watch it, I bet. Around here, it must be almost one of a kind." She pauses a second, "You know, I know you will win, and once you start, I bet you will win a lot." She gives a thumbs up.

"Yes, strippy girls." She chuckles. "The best girls and family I have."

She laughs softly once she hears Ayala. "Oh, that was you. I should have known. I've heard of that. Seems you are a natural." She gives another thumb up at what. "If you pay now, I will pay next time though. Fair and all."

After saying that, she takes Ayala's hand, just like that. She's not afraid of being touchy with people she enjoys. So that should answer her question, "Yeah, there is fine."

With that, she starts walking with Ayala, "You've become one of my favorite people on another team."

[AYALA]
"I wish I knew you had them coming, I would have helped throw party," Ayala seemed impressed at that. It was important to have a family, or a tribe. She knew that.

"Sounds like good trade," Ayala still has a hard time not sounding like a tribal at times, especially with the turns of phrases she's more comfortable with. "You were there, that night, maybe you forget after all the drink," Ayala giggled a little and tried to remind Djamilla about the party bender they had been on when they went out 'dancing' that night.

She will lead the blindfolded woman meanwhile down to the first decent-looking bar she can find, apparently the cavewoman does have /some/ standards. Not that it might necessarily matter wht the place looks like to her cohort. Once the girls are in a stool and air conditioning, it might be more relaxing--and getting drinks poured.

[DJAMILA]
"I wish I could have shown them to you and you to them. They would have loved you. You're very lovable." She laughs softly"

When Ayala agrees it's a good trade, she smiles, quickly to be followed with another laugh. "Oh, that time, yea. Maybe too many Chun-li kicks from Coco. I wasn't thinking of that." She laughs more "That was well done. You were a natural." She nods her head.

Meanwhile she has no problem following Ayala. She feels better now about sending her family back as she is with her, and she enjoys it.

Then they get to that bar, and it feels much nicer. "Air conditioning is life." She smirks and sits down. Bars are interesting to listen to. There is so much going on. Like a strip club in a way, without the sounds of clothes getting removed." She sets her staff against the bar. "You know, next round, it will be team Frost versus team Metal. We might have to fight one another. Never know. If we do, give it your best. I will do the same. I promise whatever happens, we're still Friends like we are now."

She takes a sip. "Thank you for the drink. It feels nice."

[AYALA]
"Would have loved Ayala?" Ruh roh, lets perhaps not continue on down that path of thought, for right now. Ayala sips at the tall glass of some kind of malt beer she is served. That stuff is closer to the kinds of drink they made at home, though that was due the plants her people used in fermenting. Normally one couldn't ferment beer that strong with stone-age levels of tech.

"Ayala don't want to get kicked by Chun-legs," she nodded, seeming to find that prospect about as pleasant as wrestling with an alligator, by her tone.

"Hmm? oh... right," the blonde sighed a little and looked down. "As long as Djamilla not mad about what happens," she winces a little, looking over at the blindfolded girl. "It not like Ayala /trying/ to lose, after all..."

[DJAMILA]
She nods her head. "Yeah, you are pretty cool. You would fit in the family. So yeah, I think they would have loved you. One day maybe, you can visit there. It depends on what happens after this NFG, I suppose." She shrugs her shoulders. "I hope your drink is good too." She adds, as she takes another sip of her drink, something or other that's not so bad in alcohol content.

"At least Coco doesn't have the legs of Chun-li, but she totally does that same quick kicks. I mean, good for her. She learned how to do it I guess, right?" She smirks. "But we will do our own things."

"Tell you what, if you're fine with that too, whatever happens, friends for life, alright?" She even put a hand on her shoulder for emphasis. "I don't think you are trying to lose either.I think you just need more time to get acclimated to this thing. But one day, you will explode and surprise everyone." She sips some more.

[AYALA]
"The family!" Ayala seemed to like the idea of that. Of course she wants to actually meet these people sometime. The lowered amount of alcohol intake was noticed by Ayala meanwhile, but she didn't seem to make a big deal out of it. Ayala just liked stronger drink.

"Not as quick or strong?" the cavegirl blinks a little, raising a brow as she tilted her head, peering over at Djamilla, apparently wondering about Coco. "Ayala not seen how strong her legs are, yet," she makes it sound like she wants to get the chance.

Ayala winces a little when Djamilla put her hand on her shoulder, but she doesn't twitch or make any sort of jump about it, not wanting to upset Djamilla. "So soon for lifebond? girls here must be pretty quick to do that," she teases.

[DJAMILA]
Djamila has her reasons for not drinking that strongly, but is not bothered by Ayala doing so either, "Yeah, the family. It's important to feel at home somewhere, with some people at least. Do you miss your people a lot?" She wonders. She doesn't miss her father at all and would be happy to never see him again. Hopefully, he understood.

"Quick or strong? Oh, probably both. Coco doesn't have the big legs and not the quickness either, but they still hurt though. So be careful when you meet her. I can't believe I lost, but she earned that victory." She shrugs. "Maybe you will deal better with them."

"Oh, sorry." Djamila immediately says and removes her hand after the wince. "I am not sure where all you're hurting." She felt the wince and is not exactly upset, but caring for her friend. "When I know what I want, I go for it. Life is too short and random to just wait. " She sticks out her tongue. "Twice I could have died, so not waiting for the third is the charm, kind of thing."

[AYALA]
"Sure, Ayala miss them sometimes, but no good to them at the moment," she shrugged, not feeling terribly bad about it. She still had a lot of room to improve, after all. And she /was/ making progress... just not as fast as she might have expected.

"It's okay," Ayala shook her head. "Ayala just bruised up after sparring with Juri," she took another drink. "She made Ayala after last fight, so don't want to lose again," Ayala laughed a little, harshly.

"I think she want to spar again if Ayala do..." she meanwhile listened to Djamilla, leaning against the bar. "Ayala try to live like every day her last, but maybe that not best way, when she could train harder..."

[DJAMILA]
Djamila ponders. "But will you be able to go back to them? When you are ready?" Thinking about that, she also thinks she will miss her if she goes back to wherever her people are waiting for her, but doesn't mention it. We all have to do what we can to be happy. Take the time you have now and see later when it happens.

I need to spar with my sponsor again or someone. I am not happy I lost against Coco." She cracks her fingers a bit. "Do you think you've been learning better from getting bruised by your teacher? Tough love or something like that." She frowns. "I already don't want to lose again." She grins. "It sucks. We will show NFG what we are made of."

"I think you should. If you get hurt more, your body will get used to it. Physical pain doesn't have to affect you too much till it's life-threatening." She shrugs.

She shrugs again. "I know what I feel is not the only way, but find the goal you wish, then live your life as if you could die anytime, but by doing what you need to get to your goal, no holding back. Does it make sense?" She asks Ayala after she is done saying her way of life.

[AYALA]
"Ayala pretty sure, trip back to South 'Merica," she pronounces the name of the country a little funny, probably influenced due to some of the southerners she first met when coming here. "It not that expensive or hard, just lot of desert between here and there, and then jungles," she explained.

"Wha? Nah, Ayala learned a lot from last match--Juri just want to make sure I keep learning," she grinned a little. Apparently she didn't want to put any blame on 'the spider' lady. "Tough love? didn't know Djamilla was into that kind of thing," Ayala teases a little bit again, but she seems to be listening, either way.

"Mmm... thinking food next, Djamilla like burritos?" she pulled a $20 folded the long way out of her small bag, apparently for the tab. "Ayala will find you good one~"
