Match of the Millennium

Description: Old spooky castles make the best romance spots--or well, I'd like to think so--however for our self-professed heroine, MAKI, I think it's safe to say she's in for a bit of excitement, although not in the way she might want, however. EDENLITH has been freed from wherever she had gotten herself stuck in last time we were able to get her in here with our handlers, and she's been turned loose on the castle grounds. We're pretty sure she speaks French, or something--so that would explain her ease of getting around. Please note: spectral phantoms have been released onto the surrounding areas and will not disperse until either or both of you are unconscious--and just to tip the odds even further the 'Lith has been riled up via CHAOS ENERGY INFUSION prior to release, so... enjoy that, lovebirds!

[EDENLITH]
Eden is walking inside the castle "I am here I am here. Hehehe." She laughs. She seems pumped and a bit crazier than usual. She traces one of her blades against the castle walls as she walks. At normal speed. "I am sorry I wasn't there last time to hurt you. I got some pressing matters to handle then." She speaks but she doesn't even know if you are there yet.

Then she walks around until she's is in front of the most beautiful prize of the Chateau. The artwork. "I parle une peti peu france. You too?" (I speak a little bit french, you too, not very well said) "Let fight here, and try to not destroy the artwork." She gets very close to cutting the painting with her blade, but not quite so. "So come out, come out, wherever you are!" She seems ready. She is wearing a one piece black leather suit, covering her whole body below her neck. She doesn't have her cat with her

If that's the way Eden wants it, then that's the way Eden will get it.

Originally, Maki had been walking around admiring the castle while doing some light jumping to warm herself up. She had stopped to take a sip of water when she heard Eden call out for her. "This is too good to pass up," Maki says with a smirk.

Maki literally disappears into the shade, then suddenly somersaults into the room where Eden is. "Here I am!" She says with a big grin. "You called for me and I came!" She twirls her tonfa a couple of times. "I'm ready when you are!"

[EDENLITH]
"Oh my! You came out of nowhere. But you didn't attack. You just like jumped out and told me you're here. And here I am. I am talking instead of beating you up. You're the hero right now and I am the villain, I guess." Eden says, then she runs toward you at high speed.

Once she is where you are, she runs around you and makes a couple of illusions of herself. She and they both strikes at different time. If she hits, she does physical damage with her blade. The illusions however, do mental damage.

"Indeed, I am the heroine of Metro City," Maki says as she wipes her forehead with her tonfa. "Of course, there are others too, such as Mike Haggar, but they're not here right now." With a shrug, Maki gets into her fighting stance. "Whether or not you're a villain is in the eye of the beholder."

Once the fight begins, Maki finds herself focused on her opponent rushing towards her. "You're a pretty fast one, I'll give you that," Maki says with a slight smirk, before jumping upwards and performing a backwards somersault away from the illusions and their blades.

"Nice trick," Maki says as she lands on the ground in a crouch. "But you'll have to do better than that!" She rushes towards Eden before dropping down to attempt a sliding kick.

I don't mind. I am versatile. I can be whatever the situation needs me to be. So villain I am. I am a villain, you're a villain, and we're all villains! I will kill you, maybe. Or you'll kill me, maybe!

I am still impressed when you easily dodge my attack. "Yeah, you're not like a lowly hero-villain kind of girl.!" She has to return the favor as you do a slide kick toward her. She ends up behind you as she dodges as well throwing her knives in the air. Then she crouches down to grab your ankles and pulls you down on your stomach. If she has her way, she moves you so her knives impale your back. Of course, when she pulls them back out, it is probably not super pleasant either.

Sometimes the opponent is speedier than you. Sometimes a good defense is the best solution. So Maki tightens up and uses her tonfa to knock the knives away, while tensing herself up for the inevitable pull down to the ground. Once this happens, Maki uses her tonfa to stop herself somewhat, before spinning around to face Eden.

"Well, aren't you quite the clever one," Maki says. "I have to say your style is quite unique. But then again, so is the Bushin-ryuu style!" With that, Maki attempts to prove her point with a swing of her tonfa.

Sometimes you need a good defense, sometimes you need a good offense, sometimes, you just need to do whatever the hell you want. Right now, the good defense works for Maki. And she even manages to touch her with her tonfa as if to taunt Eden like 'You're fast, but if nothing else, I can glance your body with my tonfa.' She winces very slightly , but her body is already healing that bit of damage. She at least manages to get her knives back, but she doesn't even use them for this next attack. Instead, she does a simple kick toward Maki, aiming for her side, but who knows? "I am impressed Maki. Maybe you will win this time." She winks

"Maybe I'll win, maybe I won't," Maki replies as she spins out of the way of the incoming kick. "Your skills have potential, I will give you that," She says as she sizes up the situation quickly. "There are so many styles in this world that you never know what to expect next."

After regaining her stance, Maki attempts to catch Eden off-guard by grabbing her and administering a simple over-the-shoulder throw.

SHe would have to agree with Maki, a lot of styles in this world. Maki doesn't really get hurt yet, and that makes Eden sad, but Maki is the better one of the two right now. She has to up her game.

When Maki tries to throw Eden off, Eden twists around trying to turn the throw against her, but instead Eden simply goes flying in a worse position, crashing down, and it stops her from attack this turn. "Oof. Good one." She still manages to say.

[MAKI]
Maki catches Eden off guard like she intended and brings her down. "I got you good there," Maki says. "You need to be more careful!" She smirks as she twirls her tonfa a couple of times. "I can do a lot more than that!"

With that, Maki leaps onto a nearby object, then flies at Eden with her leg outstretched. "Yaah!"

Edenlith is not doing well at the moment. Does she care much no. Will she lose? Possibly. Or perhaps she is still bidding her time now. "I will be careful!" yet when Maki leaps onto a nearby object and flies at headen with her leg outstretch, she hits Eden fully, even if Eden tried to move. Oof. She also felt that one.

But after that, she starts to use her mind on Maki. She makes an illusion. The ground opens up under them and sends them to hell, flames everyone. It starts to burn them a moment for mental damage. At least if she gets her way. Then after a moment, the illusion fades

Hell? Maki's been there before. In fact, Metro City has gone to hell and back so many times Maki couldn't even count it on all twenty of her digits.

Fortunately, the ninja isn't going to be brought there so easily. She avoids another visit with her skill, then drops down again in front of Eden.

"OK, I'm done playing around," Maki says as her smile fades a little bit. "Now I'm going all out!" With that, Maki drops to the ground and then, while balancing on her tonfa, begins spinning around with her leg outstretched.

Eden might not have won this mind game, but she still has a few tricks up her sleeves, it seems. When Maki says she is done playing around and will go all out, Eden is ready.

Maki starts spinning on her tonga, and her equilibrium is amazing. But suddenly, Edenlith is not where she was before. She's behind Maki and slams her two knives in her lower back.

now that she has done that and stopped Maki in her track. She climbs on her knives before wrapping her arms and legs around Maki. She starts choking her, keeping her trap for the moment

[MAKI]
"Augh! Damn it!"

Maki finds her signature attack being countered. And not in the way she imagined. She's being choked by Eden. And Maki doesn't like that one bit. As she struggles to breathe, Maki attempts to formulate a plan to escape in any way possible.

With a gasp for air, Maki attempts to deliver a kick to Eden's shin in hopes of getting her to let go.

Edenlith has her well trapped or so she thinks. When Maki tries to kick her shin. Eden tries to do a quick strike to stop her and counter her, but the kick hits her shin first and instead makes her let go. And right now, Eden doesn't have her knives. Maki still has them on her back. Eden is sad now, and her shin hurts. "Damn it!"

[MAKI]
Eden can be as sad as she wants, but she's not going to win if she stays sad.

"That's what you get for trying to choke me!" Maki says with a scowl on her face. "You shouldn't have done that, because now I'm really mad!"

The blonde-haired ninja swings her tonfa extra hard. She even steps forward as she does so.

Well she certainly got it for trying to choke her, but she needs her knives back now. And now Maki says she is really mad. The way she swings her tonfa, she seems to be. But Edenlith uses her speed to get to her back again and remove her knives from her back, then she grabs her to carve a 'E' into her stomach, but she isn't sure if she mainly cuts her clothing or skin. She then lets go of her, not capturing her this time

[MAKI]
There is clothing there, as Maki is wearing a one piece kunoichi style dress. It cuts her clothing and also into her flesh, causing her to cry out in pain and annoyance as she pulls away. "Damn it," Maki hisses in pain. "I... that... such pain... I can't..." Maki is too angry to piece together a coherent sentence.

"You're gonna pay for that!" Maki yells as she attempts to throw a standard punch at Eden's stomach instead of using her tonfa. She's pretty ticked off it looks like.

Eden smirks a bit. It seems she is happy to piss her off now. "Yeah, I can bite too. So nyah!" When the punch comes, she simply moves to the side this time. "Nah, I already have punches, don't need yours. kay?"

She them further goes to the left side of Maki to strike with her knife there. Nothing too fancy, just trying to be in a good position for later.

Knife versus tonfa is an interesting matchup.

Maki doesn't try to knock the knife out of Eden's hand, just deflect it away. She does so, but at the same time her arm gets nicked. This causes her to hiss again in pain. "Ugh, got me," Maki says, wiping the blood off of her arm. "She's got me good."

Without another word, Maki leaps into the air and attempts to deliver a flying kick at Eden. Unlike before, this is just a standard jumping kick.

"Yeah. That's why knives are annoying, but Tongas too. They hurt, believe me!" This time she moves to the other side. She seems in the zone now. At least for the time being.

This time, she tries to strike at Maki's right shoulder with her knife, with more force than the previous attack to her left side. "You're fun." But as she does the attack, the feeling of water chi goes with the blade. Even Eden seems a little surprise. She is not known for water chi or any kind of chi at all.

As soon as the blade makes contact with Maki's shoulder, she's leaping up and, while upside down, grabbing Eden by the neck. "I still have a few tricks up my sleeve!" She yells as she does a one-eighty somersault and then throws Eden to the ground. After that, she drops down and rubs her shoulder. "Damn, what am I gonna do..." She mutters about the annoying pain.

[EDENLITH]
Eden is surprised. her move hits, but not completely, as Maki does her somersault, and Eden is suddenly thrown to the ground. "Oof. Bah. Good." She simply says feeling the pain.

One would think she would take the opportunity to attack why Maki feels her shoulder, but instead, Eden takes a deep breath and centers herself.

Maki is expecting another attack at any moment, but for some reason Eden doesn't see the need to attack just yet. Rather, she seems to be sizing her up. Maki decides to take this opportunity to catch her breath. She closes her eyes and takes a few deep breaths. "Stay focused, you can do this."

Maki decides to do something of her own instead of attacking. Fine. That works too. Eden jumps back up to his feet and immediately pushes one of her knives toward Maki's stomach, with force, if she has her way.

Maki has caught her breath... and a look at what her opponent is planning next!

Without missing a beat, the tonfa comes up and knocks that knife away! A smile forms on Maki's face. "I don't think so!" She says.

Then, Maki doesn't waste any time in rushing in and attempting to deliver a flurry of strikes and kicks, which she finishes off with a kick similar to the flying one she demonstrated by jumping off a nearby object!

Eden strikes, but Maki parries it so well with her tonfa, sending the knife away. Then she rushes to her with a flurry of strikes and kicks. But even with just one knife instead of two, she is ready. Getting in her tarantula strikes, she starts slashing at Maki's wrists and ankles with each strike. "I don't think so either." She grins

It's bad enough when an attack is countered, but when it's your all-out attack, it really adds insult to injury.

Even after she's been stricken numerous times and knocked down, Maki still gets back up, albeit with some effort. Now she's really cut up and bruised, but she's not down just yet.

"Unngh... not bad," Maki grumbles sarcastically. "But don't think I'm down and out just yet!" Maki is apparently angrier than ever as she attempts to grab Eden and deliver a harder slam than before.

"But you seem to get weaker as I seem to get stronger." She answers Maki about not being down. Maybe she's trying to make her angry even ore perhaps.

When Maki tries to grab Eden, she gives a push to shove her back. Nothing that would hurt, just "dodging" the attempt .

Ten she looks at Maki. "Stronger indeed." Her eyes glow red, and her healing capabilities go on overdrive in a short burst, helping with the damage Maki did so far. But it makes her not attack at this time.

Being pushed back is humiliating, but at least it doesn't hurt. Nevertheless, Maki is not impressed. She is getting more and more annoyed by the moment.

"You've got some impressive skills, I'll give you that, but a true ninja doesn't give up until the very end!" She rushes in and attempts to strike Eden with a swift tonfa strike to get her into a vulnerable position, before throwing her onto the ground.

"So do you. I've been having fun. So much fun. You're a hero. You don't stop trying. I gotta give you that." Eden smiles, but more like a smirk. As the tonga comes toward her, she ducks under it then as she comes back up, she pushes Maki again with her foot. "But do better." She observes her and focuses. Not striking again, like she's playing with her prey. Not that Maki wasn't a predator just like her with her skills.

Maki doesn't say anything, she's through with words it seems. Instead, she continues to keep her mind on the fight. It's almost like she feels words are meaningless right now. It's all about action.

Maki thinks for a moment, then tries to go in with a simple kick to the stomach in a swift manner. It's meant more to stun or catch Eden off-guard rather than inflict any major damage.

She doesn't say anything else, as Maki doesn't either. As the kick comes to her, she moves out of the way with a quick spin.

Then she tries to grab Maki to slam her down to the ground. This time trying to hurt again.

This time, Maki is caught off-guard and finds herself slammed into the ground. Despite the pain, she rolls backwards onto her feet again, albeit while grimacing in pain. "This... is annoying," She grunts as she attempts to swing her tonfa at Eden again.

"I am annoying, I know. Thank you for noticing." She grins and then jumps back this time. She seems to be playing at the moment. She doesn't even seem to take it seriously, but it's a front. She has to be careful. Her opponent has a lot of skills. She's just playing around.

Then she quickly tries to find something to throw, and she finds a little sculpture of a head. Her eyes glow red and she then throws at her opponent. The head turns into a face hugger as it goes toward Maki. Another illusion from Eden.

Even in her weakened state, Maki still can manage to find a burst of agility here and there. And she manages to avoid Eden's attack while dropping down to spin around again, hopefully this time doing some damage.

"Nice evasion there." She meant that. Maki didn't get scared. She just got out of the way.

As Maki starts spinning, Eden does a weird spin herself and strikes down with her knife to stop her in her track. "Oh no, not that again. Thanks." Then she rolls to go to her other knife she didn't bother getting back until now.

[MAKI]
Oh no, not that again...

Oh no, she's been countered again.

Now Maki's really starting to lose patience. "Nngh, OK, you're good... at testing my patience!" The ninja leaps onto an object and flies at Eden again. This time, it's more powerful than before!

Eden is on a roll, doing well, until now. As Maki jump onto an object and then flies at Eden, Eden tries to trick her, but instead Maki hits her and hard and Eden falls on the ground. This has hurt her quite well, and it shows. She's not out, but doesn't attack this turn. "Ouch. Finally."

[MAKI]
Maki's not one to pass up an opportunity. With her opponent injured, Maki goes in and attempts to strike her with her tonfa again. "I'll finish this!"

She really tries to get out of the way this time as Maki goes to strike her with her Tongua, but her body didn't follow, and she gets hit hard in her chest. She winces, feeling the pain.

"Beep you!" She actually says beep. Then her eyes glow a harsh red. She looks into Maki's eyes and sends visions of horrors in her mind if she has her way. If that works, she then jumps on her and starts carving into her body with her knives. Quite like a mad woman before her attack stops completely.

Maki gets hit hard and harder...

Then she's down for the count.

"Well... fought..." Maki stammers out weakly before dropping down and closing her eyes. Seems she lost this time, but there will always be next time.

"Yay!" She is still tired, but her body is healing. Now that she is done fighting, soon it will heal much faster. "Thank you, Maki, that was fun. " She tries to move her into a more comfortable position. "I will go now, but you were awesome. One day you will have your revenge or not. I don't know now because I won't let you win you will fight for it. Hopefully, nobody asks me to assassinate you before then. Heh." She then leaves, more adventures awaiting her, and Maki too, she is pretty certain.
