Match of the Millennium

Description: Early in the next episode, our hero, VELVET BLUE SKYWALKER, finds themselves suspended upside down in a frozen cave after an encounter with the WAMPO! The furry beast returns to its cave to finnish the job just as BLUE manages to get free from his trap! Will our hero escape, or become the WAMPO's next meal?

[VELVET BLUE]
The Frozen cave on the Ice planet of Hoth... The WAMPO had secreted it's victim away in it's depth, and VELVET BLUKE SKYWALKER hung suspended from the ceiling by what looked like a very short thread. Coming to their senses wearing what looked like the puffy white arctic rebel patrol outfit (with an added perforation and cuff over the back of the waist for his tail, naturally) Velvet struggled to pull themselves up and at the same time sever the cord that they were hanging from. But their one weapon--the LASER SWORD--was unfortunately half-buried in the snow, several meters below them as they hung there, squirming about.

The camera pulls back as it displays this whole scene, telling a whole story without the need for words, while setting up a convincing ambience, along with that wonderous John Williams score...

[TARMO]
Outside, the fierce blizzard raging through the frozen landscape can be seen and heard. Chilling winds howling through and reverbating through the cave.

But soon, another sound mixes in with that ambience. A steady thump, thump, thump of heavy footfalls over snow-covered ground. THe sounds grow louder and louder, until a massive silhouette can be seen at the very mouth of the cave. The WAMPO has returned to the frozen cave it calls home!

And as the massive beast of the frozen planet ducks further inside, the vision of it becomes clear. A large, muscular, hairy beast, with thick white fur covering it's legs and... wait, just the back of it's torso? And a very humanoid head, albeit covered by a thick beard--

(The costume department ran out of budget...)

Uh, anyway! The Wampo stomps through the cave, advancing towards the upside-down-suspended Velvet Bluke, hungrily licking at it's chops in anticipation for what must be meant to be it's evening meal!

[VELVET BLUE]
Velvet is wearing a prosthetic for his face--there is meant to be a huge laceration down the side of it, after all. The darkstalker performer was not at all bothered by this, it was after all, a prosthetic--and they did capture his good side other than that. It perhaps didn't quite capture the damage from the real life car accident that the actor had actually suffered through, of course, but that was another thing entirely.

Hearing the huge beast's return, Velvet Bluke starts to struggle even harder, finally giving up and focusing down on the laser knife half buried in the snow. After a few intercut closeup shots of both his face and the hilt of the weapon, and intense staring, an obviously will be cut out in post piece of fishing line begins to tug the very end of the laser sword--finally pulling it out of the snow--and up into the air--and into Velvet's outstretched hand!

BWOOOooOooM!

The sound of the blade lighting up is iconic, and with a flash--they're able to cut themselves down--somersaulting through the air and landing on their feet on the cave floor!

There is no unhanding quite yet, however, it isn't that kind of sword, and this isn't that kind of movie...

"Rrrrr?!"

The horrible hairy beast seems very much shocked by this development, but it does have the sense to not just outright charge at the young Velvet Bluke after they've spun down with that iconic energy sword, even backing away a step's worth.

"How DARE!" the beast growls out! "You were supposed to marinade a little longer!"

(Tarmo, you're not supposed to talk...)

"Er, I mean.... RRRAAARRR!"

tCue The Wampo stomping in after the young Skywalker, with it's enormous, thick arms held up high as it towers over Velvet. Apparently they're still on the menu!

"I think I was succulent enough," Velvet has taken the pre-emptive here, despite the cold, which is obviously evident in how stiff that Velvet seems to move, the air in here has been turned down quite a bit--and the parka they're wearing isn't just for show. Which... on Velvet, that wouldn't be the case at all, anyway. It was up to them, they'd be definitely wearing something a bit saucier.

WOOOOooOOOM.

The sound of the laser sword is fairly iconic, made by sticking a microphone up to a CRT TV, and then added in projector motors, to achieve that iconic, buzzing hum. Anyone and everyone knows the sound, and how to make it with their mouths.

Of course, right now the laser sword is flashing out toward the WAMPO, in a quick but daring slash against their front!

Special effects or not, the quick slash from the beam sword *does* sting. And burn, at that. The WAMPO's bare chest is sliced by the heated energy in the blade, causing it to halt it's advance for just a few seconds...

Only to let out a loud "RAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRR!" in a fit of rage! THe massive creature that had intended to turn Velvet Blue into it's (frozen?) snack stomps it's foot down hard enough to shake the walls of the cave before poucning into a wild forward charge, to slam it's weighy body into that of the smaller Velvet Bluke in a violent shouldercheck!

Velvet winces and shrinks back just a bit from the creature's mighty roar of pain--it was quite Jackass level of realism there, and not the kind of wound that Velvet would prefer to inflict--but this is a show, after all.

Getting bodied by a WAMPO however, was another cause for alarm. Velvet goes tumbling back and slams into a stalagmite, wincing as they shakily get back up.

"Oww--damn it..." Velvet Bluke however is quick to get back on the offensive--running right towards Wampo and jumping--both booted feet pointed outward as they sailed towards the huge, hairy Finnish creature.

The Wampo's bare chest does visibly steam after the hit from the trademark sword, at least! But after the brave Skywalker has been sent tumbling across the cave from the enormous beast slamming against them, the beast comes stomping at a much steadier pace towards them now. Perhaps seeming more convinced that they're going to be an easier snack now?

A mistake of an assumption to make, for sure. For Velvet Bluke might be smaller, but they are certainly much more nimble, much faster. Fast enough to get quickly up on their feet and leap into slamming their feet against the Wampo's broad, thickly-muscled chest with enough force to send the beast sliding back along the groudn of the frozen cave.

Unfortunately for Velvet Bluke, it doesn't discourage the beast much. Before they can even rebound fully off the leaping kick, the creature's massive paw grabs on suddenly onto their leg, and with a wild roar, aims to pull and swing them right over his head and toss down onto the cold, cruel embrace of the icy groudn below!

"Beefy creature," Velvet admires the huge chest on the thing, for probably far more than battle analytical reasons, realizing the opponent is apparently great at soaking up the punishment.

Velvet finds their leg grabbed as they fall back, giving an appropriate yell as they're flung back--and down, into the ground. They're able to come to a roll and partially absorb the impact, but they pop back up from the snowy cave floor, having been half buried in it!

"Here, lemme help ya walk, big guy--" Velvet reared back as he rose from the crouch, a booted foot trying to kick out for Wampo's knee, pushing back and trying to gain some distance from it.

The fact that Velver is able to roll themselves so easily along from getting tossed on the ground seems to annoy Wamopo further, judging from the rumbling growl. His continued, persistent closing in on them ends up costing him again -- all but letting Velvet use their smaller size to their advantage and kick harshly at it's knee.

While the beast does growl in pain again, it... doesn't quite have the intended effect. For instead of buckling over, it simply *keeps coming*. ANd instead of gaining space for the desired retreat, Velvet will instead find one of those massive, powerful hands reaching for their bicep, to all but shove and hurl them by that hold towards the other end of the cave!

As the massive and powerful hand comes sweeping down toward him, Velvet has to leap into the air to try and avoid it--narrowly doing so, thanks in part to their gaining some space just prior. Without it, they likely would not have had time to pull back before Tarmo got a hand on them. Sorry, WAMPO.

"Hold on, not everyone can have me--" Velvet grinned a little bit as he leaned forward--facing away from WAMPO, one of this big booted feet coming back and up, trying to clobber the furry hulking beast in the chest!

Wether or not the great beast of the frozen cave has any particular thoughts on the, uh... 'availability' of Velvet Bluke isn't entirely clear beyond the anger it feels for having it's more immediate snack denied. IT certainly did not expect to have to work this much for it's dinner!

So at the very least, the WAMPO is determined to get this dinner in the end afterall. And when that fierce kick from the tiny (in comparison!) Velvet comes thrusting in, the beast's thick, beefy arm sets itself in the way, soaking the impact of it up with a meaty *THUD* as boot collides with muscle.

"RRRRAAA!" declares WAMPO, as a retort to Velvet's taunt, knocking their boot away with that one arm, while the other winds back -- and then sweeps in towards them in a wild uppercut that would threaten to send them flying up even if they manage to put up a block against it.

And if, indeed, that meaty fist does collide with Velvet Bluke and send them up into the air, the Wampo comes leaping right up after them -- grabbing on at their back with one enormous hand, to use to slam them agains the ground when gravity brings the both of them back down!

Velvet can feel the kick reverberate against meat and bone as his kick is blocked by those beefy massive Finn arms (noniiin kusipaa) and withdrew his leg, staggering a bit afterwards, standing up and moving to turn.

Velvet turns just in time to get uppercut--then apparently grabbed in mid-air?? he is knocked senseless for a moment, also immediately trying to struggle out of the grasp--which is crushing!

"Hnnggghh!" Velvet Bluke's eyes widen and head snaps back, teeth bared. It's a lot of pain. Velvet's eyes begin to glow a phantasmic blue--as apparently there is some force powers being used there, as chi-based beams erupt from their eyes--trying to blast the giant furred Finn right off them!

After slamming his would-be-dinner down to the ground, the beastly Wampo uses his weight to hold Velvet down on the ground with his enormous paw pressed down onto them, nearly large enough to cover up the upper half of their torso. Grinning toothily, ready to--

"Rrr?"

But then the glow of chi comes, and the eyebeams flash out to sear against and *through* the massive finnish beast.

"RRRRAAAAAGGH!!!"

Unfortunately for Velvet Bluke, the beast... does not get blasted off. Though it recoils at first, it almost immediately leans right back in, seemingly almost uncaring of the pain and burning inflicted on him as other hand slams down, open palmed, for Velvet's head -- and grab on, even, if the strike goes through, to lift them up by that hold just to slam them down against the ground all over again. As he rises further upwards, the hold would be let go of, only to be changed for the ankle of Velvet's leg, swinging them up overhead and down to the ground again. Over and over and over, with enough force to crater the ground underneath.

One might be able to imagine the opening chorus of 'duel of the fates' playing as the chi blasts actually penetrate /through/ the Wampo, but it does nothing to prepare either Velvet Bluke or the audience for what is to come. Velvet is grabbed the ankle of his boot--and swung down at the ground, crashing against it, hard--it's enough to cause them to be knocked out for just a few seconds, before regaining their senses in a heap against the ground after the WAMPO is finally done smashing them against the floor of the set.

"Oooh... may the force be... bllllarrrggh---" Velvet actually begins to get a bit woozy and starts to get a little sick over there, while trying to drunkenly shoot his knee out towards Tarmo's chest as he goes down. Whoops~

But don't worry, no one's ever really gone... well, that outfit is, since it's covered in goo now, but y'know.

Down the brave jedi goes -- and when that defiant knee strike comes up in one final show of defiance, the Wampo seems to just... brace itself against it, flexing it's already-impressively-firm abs, even if the beast does end up grunting sharply from the hit that comes.

And with Velvet Bluke gone down for the count, The Wampo drops down onto one knee, panting heavily. For all that it kept charging so recklessly, it is visibly winded, and bruised up in severla places... and burnt, for that matter, thanks to the laser sword and the eyebeams that hit him earlier.

And for that matter, the yeti-like creature seems a bit hesitant to follow through with it's original plan, what with Velvet's own lunch all over them. Ugh.

But in the end, The Wampo does take hold of Velvet by their leg, and... drags them off-screen to... uh...
