Description: In celebration of World Spay Day later in the month, Professional Fighting Worldwide brings you this Saturday night special! When Handsome Boy Steve and Lounge Lizard Vin balk at a trip to the vet, it's time for a RAMPAGE! It's up to Maki the Monkey to show them the error of their ways and subdue them for their treatment! Costumes provided courtesy of Bally Midway Couture* *Due to a fluke in the costumes, Handsome Boy Steve and Lounge Lizard Vin look suspiciously like a wolf and crocodile!

[STEVE]
Another day, another ludicrous valentines day SNF Special.

A studio had been redecorated for this occasion, styled as a veterinarians waiting room. furniture of clean whites, and floors of light-wood laminate. Pictures of dogs and cats adorning the otherwise plain walls. The two pets scheduled for operation today? 'Handsome Boy' Steve, and 'Lounge Lizard' Vin.

Steve, Steve was supposed to be a dog. With a bit of imagination, he might look like a Husky. But to a brief glance, he is undeniably wearing a (low-quality) wolf costume. A full-body Pajama-esque construction covered in a layer of grey plush. The head consisting of a pull-over furry hood with eyes and a nose printed over it, hanging awkwardly over the Boxer's face. The costume's too-long ears hanging limply. The brit shakes his head, and quietly whispers to his partner Vin. "Blimey, this is not what I expected. What freak came up with this outrageous role-play?"

[MAKI]
Here she comes, walking down the street. She gets the funniest looks from--

OK, forget that.

It's another Saturday Night Fight, albeit with a Valentine's Day style to it. And they're celebrating National Spay Day with a variety of animals... or rather acting in costumes.

Poor Maki drew the short end of the stick and discovered that she has to be dressed as a gorilla! Of all the things!

Unfortunately, the contract was signed, and Maki had to agree to it.

Just like Steve's attire, Maki's is a similar deal, complete with the mask. "At least they made it so I can breathe in this stupid thing," Maki can be heard saying. "But when I get back, I'm adding some vodka to my tapioca!" She taps her fists together as she approaches the duo. "No jokes or I'm REALLY gonna clobber you!"

[VIN]
The "Lounge Lizard" next to the wolf is... well, at least a reptile of some sorts. Though no one in their right mind would call a crocodile a lizard, surely? As outrageous as this might be, the half-chinese, half-american man hidden underneath the absolutely ludicrous rubber suit that looks like it may well have been used in some retro kaiju production decades ago... he doesnt really look like he's too bothered by that.

But that might have osmething to do with the fact that when Vin's hand slips out from the depths of the comically-extended rubbery reptile jaws that flop from side to side with the subtlest motions of his head... it comes out with a flask and a telltale scent of something that was *definitely* not water.

"Ehhhhh, we're being paid, so, you know," he mumbles, before holding the flask towards the brit, giving it a bit of a shake in nonverbal offer.

And then Monk- er, Maki approaches! Vin gives a loooong stare at the woman in the monkey costume, with the kind of look that suggests he is, in fact, needing to try *real* hard to not make jokes even in spite of her threat. ... So instead, after Steve has either declined the flask or returtned it, he'll... hold it out towards her. "This help?"

[STEVE]
"Cheers."

Steve gratefully accepts the flask, before taking a modest sip of the drink- and giving it back to Vin as he coughs. "Bloody- That is some strong stuff. Anyhow."

"I would never joke about a time as dark as this, ms. Gorilla. We're all in this together."

The 'Handsome Boy' and 'Lounge Lizard.' get directed to their starting positions, as the staff try to hurry the fight to a start. Studio space is expensive, after all. "Best of luck." the Englishman states as he lazily enters orthodox stance.

[MAKI]
"I'll pass, thanks," Maki says, and while her voice may sound sarcastic, it's more about the annoyance of having to wear this huge monkey costume. "I don't feel like fighting under the influence."

Steve can drink if he wants, but Maki will pass. "It's actually Ms. Genryuusai. Maki Genryuusai, to be precise." She shakes her head. "I can't even use my tonfa properly in this stupid thing.

After a moment of contemplating what else to say, Maki gets into her stance as best as she can before looking to Vin. "I'm ready when you and your partner are."

[VIN]
"Is it?" Vin asks with a vaguely confused look at Steve's reaction, and another quick little shake given to the flask. "Ehhh..." Apparently he's not convinced. And since Maki's not taking a swig, he promptly shoves the hand holding the flask into the depths of the costume's jaws again....

And apparently empties the whole thing.

The production director is probably having a fit while this is showing up on camera.

"Whoo! Alright!" The Lounge Lizard chimes out with a light bounce on his feet when the flask comes out again just to be tucked into... somewhere. Does that costume even have pockets? "Let's do it! I'm all warmed up!" He tacks on, while adjusting himself into... well. It's hard to call it a stance. His feet merely subtly go apart, and one knee buckles slightly while his hands are drawn up... and he's swaying already, from side to side. Oh heavens above.

As the fight is called to the official start, the wolf approaches the Gorilla with a sarcastic "Rawr!" Ducking into a low stance before bursting forward and attempting to nail Maki in the stomach with a short uppercut- Afterwards remaining close and low to the Ninja with his forearms in a tight guard- The Peek-A-Boo stance.

[VIN]
"Wait wait wait!" Vin mumbles in a faint fit of sudden panic even while he's stumbling forward alongside th Wolf to circle around to Maki's opposing side. "Are we supposed to sound like these animals? What does an alligator even sound like?! Hiss? No, wait, that's a snake, ain't it..." All this babbling going on even as he steps right past Maki in the instant after Steves shot a blow towards the ninja -- only to quickly turn himself around, with one seemingly-limp arm just... kind of sent flailing with his turn towards the back of Maki's head.

She's in a huge monkey costume. She's finding it a bit weird to move around in.

But Maki still finds a way to show her style of fighting revolves around agility and speed.

The punches from the wolf hit nothing but air as Monkey-Maki dodges the punches swiftly, which moves her into the path of Vin...

Who will also hit nothing but air as she shifts away quickly. After that, she sizes up the two opponents before going for the lounge lizard.

"I dunno what sounds lizards make, and I don't care because reptiles aren't my thing! Fighting is!" With that, Maki shifts herself towards the lizard as she steps towards him, while using her momentum to throw a swift hook at him.

"Bollocks, you're proper nimble!" Steve exclaims, circling towards the monkey's back as she makes her own attack against Vin. The brit steps forward- boosting himself towards Maki with his back leg as he attempts to hit her head with a left straight. "Take that!"

[VIN]
"Bwuh?!" With Maki ducking right under the drunkard's flailing arm, Vin's left stumbling back on unsteady feet right after. And he only just barely has enough time to register that there's a fist on collision course with him. "Wait--!" He yelps out in protest as his arms come up to shield his face. The impact of the Monkey-Ninja's fist against them does send him recoiling with an audible yelp of pain, and he damn near falls back onto his rubber-covered tush. "What's wrong with lizards?!" he complains from the lowered posture he's been forced into, before... rather crudely throwing his arm out to try and catch one of Maki's legs and yank it out from underneath her!

"They aren't slimy, they're just gross," Maki comments. "Furthermore I--" Maki is cut off as her leg is caught and she goes down onto one knee. Fortunately, being down on one knee gives her a chance to duck down and avoid Steve's punch. "Sorry, no good!" She says. "Let me show you how to throw a punch!"

As Maki comes back up, she attempts to deliver a right straight at Steve's stomach. It's hard wearing a monkey costume, but Maki manages somehow.

"Nice one, Gross Lizard." Steve exclaims- managing to bat away her fist as it fortunately only strikes air- Steve deciding on taking a step back to observe the speedy monkey- fiddling with the cowl as it blocks part of his vision. "Screw this- I'm not going in there!" the Boxer turns a genuine yell of frustration into a part of the role-play. The sentence followed up by another sarcastic "Rawr." as he looks to the camera.

If this is how it's going down, he might as well have a little fun with this.

"Wh-?! Who are you calling gross?!" Vin complains at *both* of the other fighters (yes, including the one who is on his side in this match). His own form remains down low a second or so lower than Maki's, but once he's up, he's stumbling right after her still... unlike the hound that has, perhaps wisely, decided to take a hot second to reassess. "I'll have you know us lizards can be noble-- whoop!"

...And he promptly stumbles with one step, his whole body buckling down low... only to suddenly spring right back up underneath Maki in such an angle that aims the top of his head for the underside of her chin. "And charming creatures!!"

Charming, he says, with a breath that smells of potent booze.

"I never said you were gross per se," Maki comments as she shifts away from that incoming shot at her chin. "I just don't like certain reptiles." She shakes her head. "I'm not calling you slimy or anything like that." The ninja realizes that Steve is taking a break for the time being, so Maki decides to focus on Vin for now.

"You know, drinking like that can be bad for your body, but I'm not here to judge you. I'm here to knock you out!" Maki finds something to jump onto before jumping at the lizard with a flying kick.

"Sorry bout' the break, my Lizard Pal."

Steve shouts, as he rushes back in. Jumping at her with an overhead hay-maker, attempting to predict and react to her movements should she attempt to dodge again. "But your canine mate is coming back in."

The boxer scrapes his throat. "Wait- That did not sound right."

[VIN]
Once again, the Lounge Lizard merely sweeps through empty air. And it incidentally also sends those rubbery lizard jaws flapping this way and that from the sudden momentum. "Eh? Eh? Ehhhh?"

He barely manages to land back onto his own feet when he drops back down from the upward bounce. And just in time to see Maki flying foot-first at him. "Wait! WAIT NO DO-" He calls out in protest-- only to end up suddenly leaning his form far back, almost doubling over back if it wasn't for the fact that his feet stay firmly planted on teh ground regardless, and that he's springing right back up after Maki has sailed over him. "Waaaah! That was dangerous!" He complains, and that springing motion brings him turning around as well -- and leaping after the Ninja with a low kick aimed for her ankle.

Sorry, but not sorry. There's no way Maki's going down today.

The monkey-ninja jumps above the kick with the greatest of ease before turning to face Steve. She raises her hands while tightening her stomach as the punch comes at her. The padding does a good job of protecting her from serious damage. "Nice try, wolf-boy. But I'm afraid it's gonna take more than that to take me down!"

With that, Maki attempts to grab Steve by his right arm... OK, front leg? And then she intends to throw him down to the ground.

"Wo-oh!"

The monkey paw grips the wolf's front leg, as Maki unbalances Steve and flings him cleanly down the ground by his arm. The boxer's head makes a nasty collision with a nearby counter, rubbing his head as he scrambles back to his feet. "Blimey, you're good. And annoying!" once again, the wolf pounces- attempting to wrap it's clammy, furry paws around the Monkey's head before pulling her into a wide and heavy overhead punch to the skull- potent to potentially make her slam into the ground.

[VIN]
"Wha- Who's the slippery one here anyway?!" Vin complains with a huff upon seeing the monkey leap right over his swinging leg and continuing on her path to Steve. The Lounge Lizard winces visibly when he sees the boxer's head collid with the raised surface. "You still alive, doggy?" He calls after them -- but while the wolf is bring down that powerful fist of his, the alligator's moving in. The giant head of his costume makes his movements a bit... akward, but as he slithers in on a lowered posture, he bounces back up once more -- with one arm reaching out for the monkey, twisting around and aiming his hand with it's slightly outward-curled fingers at her head while bouncing forward on one foot, and right back and to the side again!

One dodge from Maki is bad news.

Two could be a disaster!

Both attacks go by without any effort, meaning that even as a monkey, Maki still has her agility! In fact, she's almost like a monkey with her skills. "I wonder if I can do this?" She wonders as she drops down a little. "Gotta stay focused."

Then suddenly she begins spinning around on her side, since apparently she can't plant her hand on the ground like usual. She may look like a certain bald-haired actor who would be going 'WOO WOO WOO WOO!' now, but there's nothing funny about how her foot is extended, intent on taking down Vin!

"Ah, you- Blast, Gorilla's are supposed to be slow!" frustrated, he chases after the woman- trying to hit that crappy mask with a pair of quick jabs. "I'm fine, Liz. You should be more worried about yourself!"

[VIN]
Vin's hand sails over Maki, nearly colliding with Steve's fist! And the drunkard's eyes do manage to track Maki this time around, but... unfortunately, there's not much else he can do but realize what is coming.

"Oh shi-"

The spinning leg collides right against his side, and even with the enormous crocodile-head covering his own, the open-mawed expression of pain ends up being visibly for the split second before he's sent flying off to the side with a "WAAAAH!"

Fallen down over into the curb, the alligator is left laying there for a moment, face-down... except, his head is propped by the long jaws of the rubber head-piece. "I'm okay... Ow... I'm okay, ow, ow..." He groans out while he works himself back up to one knee, first, and then wobbling onto his feet proper. "Aw sheesh... Ow... F-fine then!" Stamping one foot to the ground, he lifts one arm to point dramatically at the gorilla, as if though he actually were in some bizarre tokosatsu show! "I will show you! The flight of a lizaaaaard!"

Don't ask how or why that should make sense.

Or why the 'flight of a lizard' comes in the form of him simple charging right towards Maki and leaping up with both his feet extended out into a dropkick, accompanied by a loud "ROOOOAAAAR!"

"You call that a roar?" Maki says as she dodges the lizard's attack. "You sound more like my father when he's had too much to drink!" Whether Maki's accurate or just being sarcastic is irrelevant. Steve also misses with his punch completely. "You are giving me a good workout, although that's not entirely good since I'm sweating like crazy in this stupid getup!"

Nevertheless, Maki continues to make the best of things. "Oh well, even the best ninjas have to deal with many ordeals." She then leaps onto a nearby object and then yells, "Let me show you a real flying kick!" She then soars directly at Vin with her foot outstretched, albeit in a more direct manner!

"Hey, hey! Give the Lizard a break." Steve exclaims- twisting towards Maki as he /again/ tries to hit her, this time with a more telegraphed turning hook-punch- Or, 'dull scratch' might be a more appropriate term, seeing his costume. "Right?! This studio lighting is making the place frustratingly hot. The warm, itchy inside of this.. bloody costume doesn't help!"

Obviously, the Boxer is frustrated with his current state. "But that won't make this easy for ya, ms. Genryuusai!"

[VIN]
"Awawawawa--!" It's probably a foregone conclusion by now to some viewers that Vin's flying kick sails right past the Surprisingly-Nimble-Gorilla and leaves him hopping akwardly on one foot to avoid losing his balance when he lands down.

"Eh?" The Lizard snaps to turn back to facing her when he hears the declaration, however. "What do you me-"

Oh, that's what she means. A fierce leaping kick aimed straight for him. The man's face pales for just a split second, before... he also leaps into the air?! "I don't--!" And his body rolls just barely over the ninja's outstretched foot and leg. "Wanna see it!!!"

And the rolling leap ends with his back colliding right against Maki's still-airborne chest. THe impact does drive the air out of his own lungs, too, but at least the momentum also means that, ultimately, Maki's body will be knocked down onto the ground while Vin himself... rebounds and ungracefully falls onto the floor a few paces next to her with a groan of pain.

"Uggghh.... that was so not a good idea..."

Unfortunately, Maki's luck has to run out sometime...

And it happens not once, but twice. Her attack is countered, and then Steve hits her with a swift punch as well. The monkey-ninja is sent down to the ground, and it takes a few moments for her to get back up. "Even with this stupid thing on, it still hurts," She comments as she gets back onto her feet before staring at Steve.

"Nice punch, but I know how to punch as well." She throws a couple of jabs with her left hand, before attempting to throw a hard punch with her right hand. And yes, her fist is clenched.

"Brilliant!"

Steve moves with her blows, the clenched monkey-fists impacting painfully, yet Steve is not getting staggered by them. Instead, he prepares his own flurry- attempting to bash his dampened-fist into her stomach, before rotating around her as he throws a long combination of precise blows. "1, 2, 3" He counts with every blow- before trying to end the dizzying combination with a final, powerful uppercut "And ten! But I still know my punches better, ms. Genryuusai!"

[VIN]
In the meantime, Vin manages to bring himself up to his feet again, even if he has to pause to swipe his hand over the exposed part of his face within those ridicilous crocodile jaws.

It's just in time for him to see Steve and Maki exchanging blows -- and with a mischievous smile, he ducks low and smoothly brings himself up closer. Until he's right behind Maki, and suddenly launching a straight punch for the center of her back while she's busy with Steve. "Surprise~!"

This is getting a bit annoying, since this monkey suit is not as easy to move around in as Maki would like. Nevertheless, Maki still manages to make do as best as she can, dodging underneath Vin's punch while coming up just in time to block Steve's attack as well. "Nice surprise, but I'm not interested," Maki replies to Steve. "Don't take it personally, it's just how things are."

Glancing between the two, Maki's starting to feel a bit of sweat forming on her head inside of her mask. "I would ask for a commercial break, but I don't think we can do that, so I'll just have to finish you two one at a time." She then decides to return the favor for Steve's punch to him with a punch of her own.

Steve blocks Maki's blow with her forearm, before the British Boxer steps backwards yet again. "I'm taking a breather, Liz. The impact with that counter shook me up real good!"

He says, while he is in actuality observing- waiting again. Trying his best to spot inaccuries in Maki's defense, and habits in her nimble dodges.

He's gotta make these attacks count.

COMBATSYS: Steve focuses on his next action.

"H-hey, what! Husky!" The Lounge Lizard calls out from the other side of Maki when he realizes what the Handsome Boy just declared. Taking a break?! "But--"

The realization is immediately followed up by the additaional realization that he is the only one within hitting range of Maki, as well. "Ah!!" And so the swaying, potentially drunk Vin makes the best move he can think of in the heat of the moment!

...Which apparnetly just comes down to him making to leap up at Maki and grab for one of her arms with the sole intention of wringing him down to the floor with his own weight when gravity inevitably brings him down.

"What am I gonna do without my doggy buddy?!"

...Is... is he playing it up for the cameras, or...?

While Steve is busy focusing on things, Maki decides to try taking matters into her own hands. Or rather, taking Vin into her own hands by leaping into the air and attempting to grab him midair. Then she'll slam him into the ground. Or at least that's what Maki was planning on...

However, things do not go as planned always.

Instead, Maki finds herself getting caught first and slammed into the ground. Even with the monkey outfit it still hurts a bit. Maki stands up, muttering obscenities under her breath.

[STEVE]
"Thanks for the distraction, my scaly friend!"

Steve shouts as he rushes back in the fray, targeting the recovering Maki with another quick rush of blows- A light jab followed by a slower, heavy straight. Testing Maki, annoying her further.

[VIN]
After all the empty air his limbs had swept through earlier, Vin actually looks genuinely surprised to find that his gambit actually paid off. Enough that he's left on the floor himself after the unorthodox takedown for two or so seconds to just process.

"Heeheehee! That's what happens--!" He inevitably chimes out, though, when he rolls to the side and up to his feet -- only to immediately bounce and sway back, the wobbling motions themselves seeming to send his leg swinging towards Maki while she's bringing herself up standing. "When you try to bring The Handsome Boy and Lounge Lizard to the vet!!"

Apparently, after suffering through a humiliating attack, Maki's on the defensive now. And even without her tonfa, the ninja still manages to keep her defenses strong. In fact, she knocks away both attacks effortlessly before looking between the two. "You know, monkeys can be very mean when they're angry, but unlike actual monkeys I'm not going to... well... let's not go there shall we?"

Maki instead leaps back a couple of steps to give herself some space. "Rather, I'm going to teach you a new lesson in how it feels to have your butt kicked by a ninja!" She jumps upwards then attempts to drive her foot into Vin!

"Oh, you will come to regret that!"

Steve says as she once again slips past every attack. The boxer moves towards her- his entire body weaving low and side-to-side as he builds up momentum- before smashing his fists 1-2-4 times towards Maki's lower torso with wide, sweeping hooks from the side. Before finishing the combination with a fifth, heavy straight to create distance!

[VIN]
"Oh fu*CENSORBLEEP*"

Vin's arms just barely come up in time to block in the way of Maki's flying kick. He didn't have time to outright avoid it so this is the best he can do -- and it does result in him groaning out in pain when her foot does collide with his arms and he's sent right off to fly back a few feet before he's brought skidding along the floor. "Wah... Scary..." The Lounge Lizard whines, before setting to run back into the fray. No use trying to run away, right? So instead he'll just charge right in and try to throw a furious punch at Maki's side while Steve is laying into her! "ORA!"

There's something about being on alert that really gives you a burst of adrenaline, and that's exactly what happens when Maki knocks away Vin's attack... only to find herself getting a bit winded when she blocks Steve's incoming attack. Underneath that costume, Maki's starting to sweat quite a bit and she's gasping for air a little as well. "Underestimated... them..." Maki comments. "Why?"

Turning her eyes between the two, Maki focuses on Steve. "Mr. Fox, I understand you know some punching techniques... and I know some too!" Inside that costume a bluish glow forms, which then makes its way outside the costume as a burst of chi comes out, and then Maki rushes at Steve, attempting to deliver a series of punches and kicks and ending with a flying kick. Usually she uses a tonfa, but when she's only got her hands and feet, Maki can improvise.

"You do? Then show m-"

The boxer's words are cut short as his pelt gets barraged by a rush of quick strikes, the man barreling over and getting knocked about silly before finally being kicked away- "Huaaaa!" Before smashing into a chair, comedically ending up in a sitting position. "Bl-Blimey. You- you out-punched a Boxer, ms Genryuusai. Fantastic job."
The Brit is Limping, and his stance is unsteady as damage he's sustained catches up with him. However, he is not quite done. Steve gets out of the chair, leaping to the Gorilla as he tries to pull her closer with his paws- subsequently lowering his arm to smash her in the stomach with a short uppercut. "Up!" However, he is not quite done- as he attempts to lift the smaller girl with his fist over his shoulder- to slam her back into the ground!

[VIN]
"...Oh damn..." Vin mumbles when he sees the mmagnificient display of blows from Maki laid onto his animal partner. His face actually pales a bit and nervous sweat gathers at his brow. Oh no. How is he going to handle this? His foot shuffles back briefly, in a momentary consideration of just... turning around and running away.

But no. He can't! He can't leave the Handsome Boy alone! "Don't worry!!" The crocodile-costumed man yells out as he rushes in again, winding his own fist back in a motion that seems completely unlike what his style has been like so far, trying to time it with Steve's own fist aimed for her gut. "I'm here to heeeeelp! Forbetterorworseohgodthiswasabadidea!!"

Once again, the monkey does her best to avoid the incoming attack from... but Steve's successful in punching her again. Maki is starting to get worn out underneath that costume. She's wishing she could break open a container of some kind and get a drink of water. But that would mean throwing off her mask, and the producers wouldn't like that.

In an effort to keep herself going, Maki attempts to grab Steve and administer a couple of punches before tripping him to the ground.

Her punches are mostly cushioned by Steve's furry leg- uh, arms- and he is able to tuck himself up and roll back to his feet with relative ease after being downed. "Y- You're really putting on the pressure, mate. I'm supposed to be the predator here." he stumbles- not as part of his fighting style, like Vin. But simply because he is having trouble standing. He manages to pull out enough energy to deliver another combination. A dazing straight, followed by a pair of heavy gut-punches.

[VIN]
"Uwah!! Ah, come on!" Vin complains while he bounces akwardly forward on one foot after his punch sails wide past Maki. He manages to spin around, then, just early enough to see Steve getting grabbed onto! "Oh no."

The Wolf might have it under hand, but Vin's instincts drive him over quickly there, regardless. But, the drunkard is still a drunkard, in the end, and he ends up bowling over after tripping on... something. But when he falls down, it comes with a ridicilous roll along the ground that aimes him right at Maki's feet, aiming to tangle his own legs into them and trip her up while she's dancing with Steve!"

Weakened as she may be, adrenaline still surges through Maki's body. She keeps a steady look on her face and doesn't let anything get the best of her. One attack is no problem, but two? Piece of cake!

Somehow, the monkey-girl still manages to avoid being caught by both Vin and Steve. In fact, after dodging, she steps back and emits another large aura of chi, and then she flies directly at Vin with her leg outstretched. It looks like the one she did when she leaped off a nearby object and flew directly at her opponent earlier, but this one is faster... and more powerful!

COMBATSYS: Vin manages a miraculous escape from Maki's Tesshin Hou!

"You- You gotta be kidding me!" And again, she flips- tucks- dips- dives and dashes out of harms way. The wolf stumbles to a knee after his last punch, having to use his paw to push himself back on his hind legs. Weaving towards Maki as he jolts out his right threefold, jabbing with inordinary speed- before throwing his weight behind one last left straight, falling to the ground and towards Maki as he loses control of his legs. "B-bollocks."

[VIN]
"Oh shi-"

Vin's eyes widen beneath the rubber jaws of his costume at the sight of Maki flying at him at terminal velocity. Her outstretched foot closes in on his face--

And in the last fraction of a second, Vin's suddenly sent spinning through the air. Initially, it may look as though he did, in fact, take the hit to the face -- but Maki, at least, would realize that his body has turned into motion; leaning far back with a stretch that keeps his head just barely out of reach before he spins around, wedging him along the axis of the monkey-ninja's leg before he's sent flipping through the air, in the ultimate form of the drunken swaying!

Nevermind that when he lands down onto one knee and hand, he's sweating nervously and actually muttering, "...I'm alive...?" In surprise.

Weakened as she may be, Maki can still dodge Steve's attack somehow. "Doesn't matter how much you attack, I'll just keep dodging..." She would sneer, but there's no one to see it. Especially Vin, who Maki is surprised survived her attack. "You were just lucky, lizard boy! Next time, I'll demolish you!"

A couple of breaths later, Maki attempts to move towards Steve, but then changes her mind. "Actually, I'll do it now!" Maki attempts to grab the lizard and then slam him into the ground with as much force as she can muster.

[STEVE]
Steve pounds his fist against the ground, as he lays down on the ground still prone after his stumbling straight. "I- I'm not sure if I'm going to make it, my brother in arms." The wolf looks up, and sees Vin about to get suffer under the monkey's furry hands. "N-No!"

The urge to protect his scaled comrade from the veterinarian's operating table kicks him back into action for a final strike, however. As he raises to his knees- then a foot, pulling his fist in deep before the wolf kicks himself of the ground- pouncing- and punching towards Maki with a powerful straight.

Vin's wobbling on his own legs a bit while he's bringing himself up standing again. That absolutely ludicrous evasion of Maki's attack took a lot out of him (and he's shaking from the nerves, let's be honest). And he doesn't even manage to get himself back up to fully standing before Maki's already barreling right for him again.

"What?! WAit, no! Let's talk about this?!"

Arms flail in panicking protest, before Vin makes the last-ditch effort of kicking the one foot fully braced to the ground down, and leaping himself off to the side and sending himself into a roll along the ground that brings him around the charging Maki.

"Crocodile-Roll!!!"

You're not supposed to call your evasion moves though, are you?

"Alright fine!" He huffs out when he turns from the roll to bracing both hands to the ground, and still in a lowered posture, sends his leg sweeping along the floor, aimed for one of Maki's ankles! "Let's go theeeeen!"

How does she do it?

Even though she's clearly winded and can't take much more abuse, Maki still manages to evade both attacks like it's nobody's business.

"That was a pathetic attempt at throwing a kick," Maki says. "I've seen newcomers at my dojo do better than you!"

Then she looks to Steve. "Sorry to spill your cup of tea on you," She says with a light chuckle. "But I'm afraid I'll have to knock over your crumpets too."

Before Steve can react, possibly, Maki jumps up and attempts to grab him from above and then throw him to the ground.

"Oh... No"

Steve's stumbling punch leads to him getting flipped over and smashed into the ground by the Gorilla's Maki-esque strength. He is finished, as his conciousness starts to fade. But The Handsome Boy takes one last initiative to assist his Lounge Lizard- Reaching out with both arms and clenching his hands around Maki's legs, hindering her movement for at least a little while. "Go... and.. Finish this.."

And with a final, waning 'Raawrrr...' Steve goes down for the count. Leaving Vin standing alone against Maki.

"HANDSOME BOY NOOOO!" The Lounge Lizard yells out with a dramatic outreach of one hand, sorrow and despair flashing in his tearful eyes as he watches his partner get pummeled down.

And he's left alone. Subtly, his foot shuffles back while he stares at Maki the Gorilla with visible fear.

But then he hears that voice. The Handsome Boy's final call, and the sight of his final will aimed down to the grip on Maki's leg.

How could he not answer that?!

"Very well! I will not let your feelings go to waste! For you, HANDSOME BOY! I UNVEIL!!!"

And suddenly, in one upraised hand, he's holding... what is very obviously another flask surely filled with alcohol. "MY SECRET WEAPON!!!"

The cap popped open, Vin holds his head directly up and pours the contents of the flask straight down into his wide-open mouth, quickly swallowing up all of it before the flask gets tossed away. "Alright-- *hic*..." He mumbles, with the first step forward already sending him swaying and wobbling. Oh no.

"FREEDOOOOOOOMMMM!!!"

Another two stumblign steps carry him towards the gorilla, and his fist to flying straight for the ninja's face. Followed quickly by the left following up with a low uppercut, a spinning kick-- And at the wake of that kick, his whole body flips over, and Maki finds the Lounge Lizard in a handstand, rapidly spinning aroudn his vertical axis to guide repeated, rapid, spinning kicks high above at her.

"FOR MY FRIIIEEEEEND! ...OhgodIfeelsick."

Vin may feel sick, but Maki feels even sicker.

Having been hit by a hard combo when she's low on stamina causes her to keel backwards and then forwards. If she were a real 'Midway Monster' she'd be shrinking down until she was tiny and then walking offscreen.

Unfortunately, she's not.

Instead, Maki staggers and then drops to one knee...

And then the other knee... and she's out.

And as Maki falls back, and Vin's maniacal spinning comes to an end-- he flops right down onto his stomach, the elongated crocodile jaws once again getting smooshed against the ground.

"Aaaagh I feel dizzy..." He whines, before rolling onto his back, to lay next to the prone form of The Handsome Boy.

"...Did we win...?" He mumbles, before he manages to send a peek to Maki's fallen form, too. "...Ah. I see... But, you know, Handsome Boy...? ... Maybe we need to go to the vet afterall.."

Colour drains from Vin's face. "...I feel sick."

Fortunately, the SNF camera crew has the wisdom to cut there before some unfortunate children have to witness the horrifying vision of a drunk crocodile hurling.
