Match of the Millennium

Description: In this heartbreaking vignette about the drama of teen angst, the pitfalls of tribalism and the coolness of leather jackets, Greaser Abigail and Biker Kyo face off in a death-defying race through the Lincoln Tunnel! They're not in the driver's seats, though - they're fighting atop the cars! Meanwhile, sweet and innocent Munin tries to put a stop to the battle before somebody gets hurt - even if that means hurting them in the process!

The two combatants- the 'greaser' Abigail, the Mad Gear Giant, and 'leather Biker' Kyo, the arrogant prodigy- are going to fight on moving vehicles, moving loops through the Lincoln Tunnel. Their sick rides, and accompanying drivers have been chosen by the fighters themselves.The rules? Hit the ground or stop driving, and you're the loser. Everything else is fair game, except intentional destruction of eachother's vehicles- now that would be a dirty oversight.

Kyo comes to the beginning of the scene, dressed in a full-black leather jacket and pants- decorated with yellow and red flames imprinted on the clothes. Wearing a Biker Helmet with a similar color scheme. His ride? A classic, scarlet old-style ford Mustang. Driven by a stoic friend Kyo calls Aka.

They know regular opponents don't stand a chance, so they're sending in a giant?" He turns his back, putting the helmet back on his head as he jumps on the Mustang, shrugging. "Makes no difference, you'll burn all the same." the arrogant teenager crouches down and knocks twice on the car's roof. "Ya' hear that, Aka? Get ready to step on the gass.""

[KYO]
The SNF really has a flair for the dramatic, with setups like these.

[ABIGAIL]
An absolutely obnoxiously loud version of the Calvary Charge suddenly bursts into the area by means of pick up truck horn as an equally obnoxiously -large- truck roars into the area driven by a blond mohawked Mad Gear goon.

But it's the figure standing in the cargo bed of the immense custom Ram that draws the most attention. Abigail, a certified mountain of flesh, balanced easily and confidentally despite the raging horsepower that swerves violently in and skids to a stop kicking up dust and smoke around the goliath. His teeth are gritted in a kind of slasher-grin and his eyes are wild as he unfolds arms so huge that they wear large tires armbands and threaten to burst through them with the slighest flex. He probably got the memo about the whole 'grease thing' but there's no jacket big enough to fit him and he's not about to mess up his maple leaf hair cut - so we're settling for a white shirt and dirty jeans that look like they're stiched together from several different jeans to accomodate his monster size.

He turns to the viewing crowds and pumps a single arm skyward as his body reddens and actually begins growing -bigger! His shirt stretches, tearing at the seams as his sinew piles on sinew and steam billows out of his ears. "ABI-GAIIIIL!!"

He then turns, bringing his arm down to point at Kyo with a *WHOOOSH* accompanying his movements.

"Burn!? You aint got the heat to overclock this engine, kid! Unless you can push it past my redline - you're little firecracker is going down for the count!"

His massive foot stomps onto the cargo bed of the truck, rocking it. "Let's run 'em over, J!"

The driver, J, grins and thumbs up, "You got it chief!"

[MUNIN]
A wisp of darkness flits from behind Abigails massive truck

A voice speaks from the other side, near Kyos car, while attention if any is given to the distraction as Munin reveals herself "You boys aren't planning on doing anything DANGEROUS, are you?".

Her style of dress is..... well, MOSTLY fitting the occasion. She's in a black poodle skirt, with a neon purple poodle image along the side. Her blouse is white with the same deep purple poodle image, along with a matching purple scarf around her neck and tied in the front. Coupled with this are a pair of vintage sunglasses that do little to hide her glowing violet eyes

[KYO]
"Calm it down Pal, You look like a fool." Kyo shrugs, while the judge calls the fight to a start- the Kusanagi turns to the feminine voice. "Huh? You're not supposed to be here, woman. SNF business. "Lets get this thing started, Aka." and with that, the vehicle starts rolling at a moderate speed as it enters the dimly lit tumble. The Kusanagi seemingly unbothered by standing on the rocking vehicle's roof. Entering his signature stance. Shadow-boxing as the throws a combination of mock punches.

"Don't fall off, brute."

He yells backwards, as he stretches his arm out below him- gathering flames before lobbing a wild mass of Burning Chi towards Abigail- Hoping to gain an advantage as that slow truck of his catches up.

Munin isn't paid much attention just yet as Abigail instead juts his jaw out and bulges his eyes at Kyo's words. "Calm down?? A fool?! My soul is revving up! Get with the program! Are you more or less annoying then K'!?"

His truck revs up and surges forward to try and close the distance, "As annoying! I'm SICK OF YOU FIRE PEOPLE TRYIN' TA BURN ME!!"

The blast of Kyo's flame arcs wildly into him, rippling over his body like a wild fire rushing across the slopes of a mountain range. Abigail barely blinks. He's burned - but he seems to hardly acknowledge it as his body presses through the fire and the truck speeds up enough to close the distance between himself and Kyo.

"VROOOM IT!" he roars at J.

On the inside, J hits a switch and a gout of flame of Abigail's own engineering bursts into a fireball out of the rear of the custom rig. The truck surges forward and Abigail hauls a massive fist backwards, his billboard wide back flexing and expanding, holding and then twisting around in a violent surge as the truck blasts along side and past Kyo. Looks like its faster then one anticipated and that coupled with Abigails own movement and boulder like fist could make for a bad combo.

Munin blinks as Kyo and Abigail abruptly have their drivers gun the engines and take off, and it's all she can do to grab ahold of Kyos bumper and hold on for dear life as they're off!

Slowly climbing her way up to him, his own words come back to bite him in the rear, in a manner of speaking "SNF business, eh? Good..... then the best way for me to end this very DANGEROUS nonsense is to knock some sense into the both of you in classic SNF fashion!".

Leaping off the trunk to land near Kyo, Munin attempts to gut-punch Kyo to make him hunch over. If this succeeds, she rolls over his back as a blade of purple chi forms from one hand. As she lands on the other side of him, she swings upwards into him with it!

COMBATSYS: Kyo dodges Munin's Spin Slash.

"Huh?! How the hell-" and he gets socked in the helmet, his arms not put up in time to intercept the surprisingly swift punch. The kevlar of his helmet caves in, as the glass he looks through shatters. "Damn! I liked that helmet." Suddenly the car buckles as Munin leapt on, a surprised Kyo being met with a punch flying towards his stomach. With the narrow room he has, he does manage to step back and clench up his stomach, making the punch whizz past. "What the crap? Are you two in Kahoots?! Like I said, stay out of this you Floozy!"

Launching towards the woman, he throws a hooked punch to her face- with scary speed as power behind it.

[ABIGAIL]
"Hey!" roars Abigail, "This is a perfectly legit fight! So beat it before I cave your face in---Whoaaa!!"

Abigail teeters like a sequioa that drank to much as his truck swerves violently.

"J!?!"

"Sorry chief! I dropped my Sprite!"

The goliath braces himself, making a mental note to twist J into a pretzel when they get back to the Scrap Yard. He then crouches down, straining even the effort of his customized rig to support the pressure of his monstrous strength. An instant later and the goliath lunges forward and upwards, balancing dangerously on the edge of the cargo bed and using reach and momentum to launch into a full on spin that sends his tree sized arm spinning around like a club towards Kyo just as the distance closes in once more.

The momentum continues as well - his body doing a full rotation that brings his other arm around in a massive upper cut as the behemoth roars, "KABOOOM!!!"

Her strike swishes mere inches from Kyos face as he dodges her strike. Just then, the car they're on hits a bump, and she is stuck in place just a moment to keep her balance. Kyos strike comes in just at this time!

The strike hits her full-on in the face. Her nose sprays blood, her sunglasses are shattered, scratching up parts of her face a bit, and she is sent flying into the air!

Luckily, she flies towards Abigails vehicle, which she promptly grabs ahold of by a narrow margin. Hanging on for dear life, she pulls herself up. With a frown, dark energy forms in her hand, and she flings this at Abigail as he is now closer to her and distracted!

[KYO]
Kyo's punch had connected, and she has been sent towards Abigail. Serves her right!

"Should've gotten a better Driver, there!" Aka yells, fuelling his own competition with J while Kyo and Abigail battle it out up top. Kyo twists past Abigail's 2 lumbering fists- before crouching down and thrusting his flame-wreathed Elbow into Abigail's torso. A concentrated blast of fire blasting out as he does so. "Step on it, Aka!" he yells, urging his driver to speed up further.

[ABIGAIL]
"Augh!? What the--dammit!"

Abigail is none to please. Oh yes. The burst of flame and pure force of Kyo sends him tumbling backwards to nearly fall right back into the bed of his truck. He balances himself only to notice Munin's attack -just- in time. His vast arm whips up and around in a wide exagerrated arc, cutting into the shadows and dispersing as the momentum of his swings cause him to wobble and teeter once more..and then regain his balance at the last instance.

"You hear that J?? They mockin' you! What's the matter...step on it!!!"

That pep talk finished, his enormous arm lunges forward for Munin - sewer plate sized hand splayed out with massive fingers reaching for her. A grasp would result in her being tossed into the air. She might land on the asphalt - she might land over on Kyo's car..but either way he wants her gone.

"Beat it, loser!"

Unfortunately for Munin, her attack crashes against Abigail and seems to have little effect. She ducks his initial attempt to reach for her, rushing in with a small spike of purple chi forming in her palm. As she goes for him in an attempt to gain momentum in the battle, his hands get a secure hold on her, and she is flung into space! She lands hard, by coincidence, on Kyos car. Dazed, she is stunned for a moment as she attempts to clear her head....

[KYO]
"You're out of your league here, get lost!" Kyo yells rudely towards Munin. "That's right, get lost! The only one allowed to stand on 'the Cheetah' is Kyo!" Aka puts more fuel on the fire, as Kyo- Literally puts Abigail on fire. Raising up his arm as he amasses a huge amount of chi into it, his body erupting in a surge of flames as he does so. Until, he flickes his arm and sweeps out a huge swath of flame upwards towards Abigail- Taking care to avoid the cars getting caught in the blast.

That..wasn't good.

"Holy--sh.." belts out J as the gout of flame from Kyo roars forward like a ravenous fireball to engulf truck, rider and drive.

"Yaaaoooowww!" roars Abigail, briefly obscured from sight as the fire blazes and blasts over him and circulates through the tunnel like the aftermath of some explosion in an eighties action flick. The truck swerves violently but then bursts out of the flames, trailing it behind it like a comet and whipping violently to the side in an attempt to crash right into Kyo's ride and sideswipe as tires screech wildly.

"BOOOM!" roars Abigail, emerging from the wall of fire, standing atop the truck like some sort of crazed roided out surfer. He then leaps, arcing into the air, flipping..and then desending with both of his hands balled up into piledriving boulder sized fists.

He plunges down towards Kyo and car both and poor Munin nearby as well. Hit or miss, his impact won't be kindly or pretty.

[MUNIN]
Munin, at just this moment, is climbing to her feet.....

Just in time to see this firey massive mountain of muscle descending through the air towards the vehicle, and with a look of panic in her eyes, she decides on an act of potential self-preservation over aggression.

As he leaps to Kyo, she leaps from the hood of Kyos car to the hood of Abigails. If Kyos vehicle goes up, she doesn't want to be on it when it does!

COMBATSYS: Munin takes no action.

"Wha- Are you crazy?! Aka!" Kyo can't dodge, he has to protect the car. Therefore, he decides to stand below Abigail as he comes slamming down, his arms in a cross-guard ready to absorb the blow- And thankfully, for both his and Aka's sake- he succeeds. Managing to resist his defenses crumbling under that massive pressure- and coming out mostly fine, save for painfully bruised arms. "You'll pay for that!" Kyo grips Abigail's meaty forearm with both hands- pulling it aside as his leg crosses under Abigail- attempting to trip him over it. He is not done however, as he follows up- whether or not his first attack succeeded with a flurry of Chi-imbued strikes with both arms and legs, really laying into the colossus before finishing the combination by jumping into Abigail, his shoulder trying to crash into his chest with a fiery explosion!

As far as Abigail's concerned that first attack really should have worked.

"What the hell!? Dammit!!" he roars out as he sees Kyo resist him and then the rest of his comments are obscured by a resounding roar of pain as Kyo lays into him and then once again envelops him in a burning fire flower of chi and chi enhanced strikes.

Munin might not be as safe as she wishes because the blow back from Kyo's strikes push Abigail backwards and send the behemoth towards the side of his truck as J swerves to try and catch him - but fails utterly due to the giants flailing movements and lack of gained height. He impacts against the side of his rig and it swerves violently, threatening to tip over as J wrestles for control and then slams on the breaks.

Abigail himself goes tumbling off to the side and then slams into the ground, rolling like a wild boulder until he arrests is movement with force that digs a groove into the asphalt and kicks up dust and smoke behind him.

"Graaah! No fair!!!"

But he's spent..and has touched the ground. It's a done match.

[MUNIN]
Unfortunately for Munin, the prediction is exactly the truth. As J swerves towrads Abigail in an attempt to catch him, instead of landing on the hood as it was positiond, the hood slides under Munin and she lands too far on one side. Instead of a solid landing, she slides off the far side of the hood itself, and plummets to the concrete. Luckily the movements of the vehicle mean she won't be run over, but she rolls with the momentum along the ground, getting scuffed and scraped pretty badly while also ending her part in the match.

The car screeches to a halt- as the giant falls- swerving to the side to avoid hitting J's unstable truck. Kyo leaps of, leaping at the grounded heap of muscle a few dozen feet behind him. Aka leaves the car, and the two clench fists in celebration. "Man, that was dissapointing. He looked kinda strong. Didn't stand a chance." Aka nods in agreement, as Kyo walks back towards Munin. "Now that's whatcha get for meddling in other's business, woman. Go stick your nose somewhere else."

The leather-clad Kyo and Aka walk off, meeting the judge and camera's outside. Celebrating victory. "You people really ought to fetch me some better opponents next time. This was pretty lame."
