Match of the Millennium

Description: Franco's has a strong emotional involvement with the gang war unfolding, and wants to do whatever he can to head off of it. But, as a mechanic at the Southtown International Airport, he finds that the war has already poured into his lap, when he runs afoul of some smuggling operations at the airport. Franco finds some strange packages amongst the airplane mechanisms, a dangerous and subtle place to stowaway the goods. Worse for Franco, the plane had -landed- with the goods, and Mr. Burr arrives to collect his packages.

[FRANCO]
Franco Bash came to Southtown to start a new chapter in his life. While it seemed like a great idea originally things have gone foul not long after settling into living in a new country. First there was the possible destruction of Japan and finally when it seemed all that chaos was over a new problem came to light.

Gang wars. The streets of Southtown haven't been safe as of late and Franco has taken it upon himself to make things better when he can. The result is not making friends on either side of the conflict. What he has gotten is the respect of the citizens of Southtown who thank the rather large and loud American that has become a bit of a vigilante. At the same time being one of those doesn't pay bills so when he isn't busting faces or spending time with his son he is working at the Southtown Airport.

"Hmm. What is this?" The latest plane he was working on was a small one, but a bit suspicious. He was supposed to just give it a bit of a look over and make sure it is properly fueled, but knowing planes rather well he could tell something wasn't right. That is why he has several bags in front of him as his hands rest on his hips. "Drugs and guns!? Even the airport is a mess these days. I suppose I best get ahold of security." he mutters.

From behind Franco, a cough can be heard. Turning around, he is presented with a man in a fine suit, with short grey hair, a bowler, and his hands resting on the handle of a cane.

With a slight smile, the genteel Mr.Burr tips his hat to Franco "Excuse me lad, but i believe you have something of mine. Would you be a sport and allow me to.... take it off your hands?". Putting his hat back on his head, he tilts his head slightly to the side "I can make it more than worth your while, i promise you".

[FRANCO]
"Hmm?"

The cough is enough to make the rather large American turn about. He looks over Burr with a furrowed brow. One that furrows even further somehow when the man speaks of what is obviously the stash that Franco had found. "This is yours?" He gives a shake of his head. "I know what I found and I will hand over no such thing!"

Yes he is a mechanic, but well given his size Burr can probably surmise that Franco is a bit more. He might have even heard of the kickboxer giving the Syndicate some problems. He has only perhaps gotten away with it because it was mostly interrupting small time crimes. Now this? This is perhaps getting in over his head.

"Sir, I would recommend you turn around and leave this to me and the authorities. There is nothing you can offer to change my mind and well...." he takes a deep breath and gives a flex with both arms. The overalls and shirt under them strain under his muscular mass. "I will have to do things by force!"

The response is a grin, as Burr reaches into his pocket, and holding out a wad of what appear to be hundred dollar bills "Are you absolutely sure? I will respect your refusal, but i feel i must ensure that i've proven i can make good on it. Think carefully now!". He doesn't seem all that intimidated by the appearance of the large man.

[FRANCO]
His gaze moves to the money only momentarily. He then scoffs and he reaches out to slap the money out of Burr's hand.

"Money? You think everyone can be bought? I don't need money. I want people like you out of Southtown!" He is a man of morals. Always so problematic for people like Burr. Someone that cannot be bought and in this case probably not someone that can be intimidated.

He may not have his gloves with him, but it isn't like he is looking to soften the blows when dealing with someone like Burr. He raises his arms and gets in a fighting stance as he gives a few quick jabs and an uppercut to show off his moves somewhat. "Instead I will subdue you and have security take you away along with this contraband!"

With Francos response, Burrs smile widens. He merely nods and puts the money away.

As he looks down to do this, the jabs are thrown, catching him unawares! Burrs body is rocked slightly by the impacts, but suprisingly, Franco would feel hard, almost like a metallic, impact of some kind beneath the suits silk outer layer. When the uppercut comes, it slams into Burrs chin, rocking his head back!

Burr merely stands there a moment, looking up at the sky, before looking straight at Franco once more.

There isn't even a mark on his chin.

His eyes, however, have taken on a much more insidious, dark intensity. His smile, previously warm and even, is now unnervingly wide when coupled with his eyes. Overall, he doesn't look entirely stable. "Oh my.... that was very rude of you. I'll have to teach you a lesson young man". His eyes flash with greenish light for a moment as he cracks his neck left, then right, ready for the conflict that seems to now be inevitable.......

Before Franco can respond, Mr.Burr decides to respond in kind to the 'suprise attack' with one of his own!

Bringing his cane to bear, he swings it like one would a sword blade, aiming the hard metal tip at the end at Francos chin. The swing complete, he brings it down and does a light jab at the man, less to do damage and more to push him back and/or off balance right after being hit so hard.

The punches were more thrown as a shadow boxing technique to show things off, but perhaps Franco got too overzealous and actually hit Burr. The deal was he didn't seem to do any sort of damage which makes him take a moment to consider what is going on.

That moment is when Burr decides to strike. He goes for the swing, but Franco does bring a meaty arm upwards to intercept it and it glances off his forearm and the jab does hit him in the chest, but at the moment the adrenaline is going strong and it doesn't push the big man back. "Bad move my friend!"

Franco goes into action full on now. A swift right hook as blue like energy surrounds his fist as he looks to strike at Burr and push him back and a quick left much like the first strike follows to further push Burr back. "Feel the burn!"

The response comes fast, and Burr is still recovering from his own attack to respond. The first hit takes him in the face, the energy burning his skin, though his smile never wavers. The second strikes him in the chest with a metallic sensation again, and he goes sliding back.

As Franco creates space, Burr relocks his gaze on the large man. His eyes begin to glow again with that eerie green light "Well done. This should be..... interesting". He taps his cane once on the ground, and the same green aura begins to build around his body, waiting for Franco to once more close the distance.

There is nothing fancy about Franco. He fights the way he looks. He is large and hits hard which Burr might be used to given he works with the likes of Big Bear. "Son, are you on the drugs?" he bellows as he sees those weird glowing eyes. That isn't normal!

Despite the attacks it seems Burr is more than fine with not running away. He just gives him that look and remains at a distance. Well if he is going to stand there who is Franco to just stand there?

He comes in quickly to attack once more. This time his fist erupting in a firey like chi instead of the blue energy that manifested earlier. It is a heafty punch that looks to slam right into the gut of Burr and knock the air out of him so Franco can quickly follow up with another strike. This one an overhead blow with his other fist. This time no energy. Just a bit noggin knocker.

Burr brings his arms down to try to block the blow, but it powers through, striking him clean in the lower abdoman. The overhead blow brings him to one knee. He coughs up a fleck of red, but still has his smile "Oh, NOW you want to talk buisness. Apologies, but that ship has sailed for now". Pointing his cane at Franco, a beam of sickly green chi 'fires' from the metal tip, sizzling through the air at his face!

"I don't care about bu-!"

His retort is cut off because of the energy beam that erupts from that cane. He was trying to bring a hand up to at least block it somewhat, but he is too slow and it blasts him right in the face and knocks him back several steps. Despite the impact he doesn't fall over. It looks like he can take a hit as well as he can dish it out and he takes a moment to try and get the blurry vision to go away.

"Okay, one of you is in big trouble!" So maybe he hasn't shaken out the cobwebs, but he has narrowed this down enough he comes close with his next strike. Burr might be lucky to avoid things at least, but to take a bit from that big sneaker clad foot is not the best of ideas.

As the kick comes in, Burr abruptly stands, walking INTO the kick!

While it impacts soundly, and does make Burr lurch backwards a bit, it is robbed of much of it's power!

In the process of this, Burr reaches out, attemps to grab Franco by the arm, and with a pivot throw the large man over his shoulder to the hard concrete! "Good form, but not good enough!

The bone crunching kick connects and Burr doesn't even attempt to get away. At the same time perhaps he realized it wasn't the best idea? It is hard to tell for Franco because Burr just seems to dell well to hide how much pain he is in. Not long that he reaches out to try and overpower Franco or at least use his momentum to throw the bigger man about.

%He moves Franco, but really it is an awkward exchange. Franco leaves his feet for a bit, but he actually lands on a knee hard Burr doesn't quite get what he was hoping for in terms of a throw. "Not good enough!"

The big man roars and comes foward. He extends a leg to kick upwards and deliver a big move to the chin of Burr before it swings back downwards. The blue chi once again manifests around his foot as he brings it down to just stomp Burr straight back down onto the ground.

With a quick movement, Burrs arm comes in between his chin and the kick. His arm strains to hold back the force, but holds, stopping the attack despite the strain on the elbow!

With a quick step, Burr zips past Franco! As he does so, he pulls on his canes handle..... unsheathing the blade contained within! He slices once, the blade glowing with the same dull green glow, low at Francos stomach area, the blade resheathed almost as fast as it came out! That done, it puts a bit of distance between the two of them. "Clearly good enough. I'm still standing.

Franco was suspect to the can. He figured there was more to it and Burr more than confirms it. Franco is halted by the fact his kick is handled better than anticipated and then there is a flash.

Before Franco knows it his clothing was slashed open and the skin beneath also sliced to where he is starting to bleed. He staggers back and frowns as he raises a hand to rest over wound. He pulls the hand away and looks to the blood. "I see. So we are using those tactics. I am a man that doesn't use such things so all I can do is one thing."

That one thing is him leaping upwards as he clasps his hands together and brings them down into an axe-handle on Burr's head. Then he falls downwards as he spins around, his arm extending afterwards as a whirlwind of energy seems to surround his arm as he goes for a big uppercut to send Burr flying away.

As Franco leaps into the air, Burr watches closely. Attempting to time it juuuust right, he steps sideways and brings up the cane, attempting to hook the big guys wrist and pull him out of the attack!

Unfortunately, his movement is just not far enough, and Franco is able to shift with his movement. The overhead strike takes him unawares, knocking him downwards and right into the path of the uppercut! Burr is sent flying, and lands with a loud CLANKing noise on the ground, unconscious.

Despite his unconsciousness, he still has that unnerving smile on his face......

[FRANCO]
He can feel his fists hammer home on the first strike, then the second hits hard and sends Burr flying where he lands with a clang.

There is a hesitation and he steps closer. He sees the grin and he gives a few pokes with a foot to see if Burr is really down and out. He doesn't give a surprise attack so Franco just gives a stout nod and steps back. "Well I hope this is a lesson learned!" he says rather loudly. He then pats himself down and finds a cell phone.

"Hello! Security! Franco here. We got a big mess down here. Bring everyone you can." Sure Franco will keep an eye on Burr, but who knows if the man will suddenly spring up from his grinning stupor then flee before he is taken into custody. Even if the latter occurs this is Southtown where Geese has influence.

In the end it is a small victory for Franco. One a bit more than the little scuffles he has broken up, but at the same time the loss of drugs, guns and other things may have earned the ire of the Syndicate finally.
