Description: Mr. Burr and Eliot are forced into a drastic role: A pair of mimes, unable to speak, and yet, forced to communicate through the solemn and dignified art of mime. A mime is a terrible thing to waste. With international fighting sex symbol Eliot be able to use his body to tell his adoring fans what they want? Or will Mr. Burr stab and twist away his chance at victory?
Aahh, another SNF. Always so interesting. The crowds, the camera-drones, the crew busying around doing whatever it is they need to do for the show to be broadcast. However, he would be remiss to not consider what is arguably the most important part of this for a combatant:
For all his buisness dealings, Burr has to admit it is in the fighting circuit that he has met the most interesting people! So many unique personalities, each again with so many backstories telling how and why they came to the same place. It is truely fascinating!
For this battle, despite it's theme of mimes, he has put on no makeup or has any visual difference whatsoever from his usual suit, hat, and cane. However, he does intended nonetheless to abide by the whole theme in practice. As he stands there at the base of the large archway awaiting his opponent, Burr merely tips his hat silently to the cheering crowd, giving them a warm smile.
It had been a few weeks since Eliot's adventure with the Avengers, but he is a youthful sort, and of course they spring right back from whatever aches and scrapes they might find themselves with after a tussle. Eliot was already ready to go for his next round. After all, his quest is to improve the skills that Master Gen Fu had bestowed upon him by trying them in real combat with professionals. Only then could he become Gen Fu's true successor!
But, leave it to Don, the "producer" that Eliot had wound up falling in with in Taiwan, to ensure that his upcoming match was weird. Mimes? Are those even still really a thing? And if so, did they really dress like this?
This being a pair of black skinny jeans with red suspenders, and a black and white striped midriff baring shirt, and polished black ankle boots with a silver buckle? Of course, there is the requisite makeup. Stark white face, with small black triangles extending both above and below his big blue eyes, red lips, and a tiny black heart on his cheek like a beauty mark. He was also accessorized for the part, as well, with a floppy beret atop his shaggy, windswept blonde hair, and pristine white gloves on his hands. Hands which are wringing themselves together as he comes walking out into the makeshift arena.
He opens his mouth as if he was about to say something as he looks out at the assembled spectators, but catches himself. It'll be hard for him to remain silent. Very hard. But for now, all he does is give a gracious bow to the crowd, and then he turns to Mr. Burr.
It seems his opponent didn't have someone forcing him into questionably oversexualized outfits.
Eliot tips his floppy cap, and as he bows to Burr, he does do a little spin of it in his hands, before flipping it back atop his head as he rises back up.
Oh, they TRIED to get Burr into the 'outfit'. Between strategic bribes, and even more strategic hits to the head via his cane, it was authorized for him to be exempted from the clothing aspect.
His opponent having arrived, Burrs stare turns to him. He smirks calmly, tipping his bowler casually and giving a small polite bow.
Spinning his cane on his wrist a few times, he steps forwards, points the cane at Eliot, then slides it across his throat as if it was a knife. The meaning of this is rather obvious to the crowds, as the slowly-calming cheers are now mixed with the sound of 'ooooooooooooooh'. The gauntlet thrown down, Mr.Burr slowly approaches Eliot, cane tapping between each step ominously on the pavement as he goes.....

With a quick flick of his wrist, Burr spins his cane on his wrist again, waving it before him for a moment to try to throw off Eliots potential timing of attack before catching it by the handle, and bringing it down hard towards his shoulder!

When Burr gives his silent threat, Eliot puts his hands on his cheeks and gives a pantomime that would have called to mind Kevin McCallister from Home Alone fame. This does bring about a small round of chuckles. As Burr approaches with that ominous tap-tap-tapping, Eliot plays just a bit to the crowd, as well. He turns to face them, and gives an exaggerated wave and nonchalant look, to show that he's not threatened, though almost immediately follows it up with fanning the collar of his shirt.
And finally, the attack comes. Eliot, it would appear, is not thrown off his timing at all, as he throws up a perfect block, intercepting the cane as it swings down with the hard, boney side of his forearm. His aquamarine eyes sparkle, light up with a mischievous gleam as he looks to Burr and gives a single wiggle of his eyebrows under the pancake makeup.
Eliot pivots on his feet, bouncing back a few paces only to leap forward with a pivot on his feet. With his leading leg extended, and the other leg tucked up behind it, Eliot soars at Mr. Burr in the picture perfect, classic Kung Fu flying kick, immortalized on the silver screen by such legends as Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee.

Such wonderful technique! Burr just must get a closer look.....
When he sees Eliot hop back, he hazards a guess that a kick is likely the followup, since legs have longer range than arms, and he is not disappointed. Stepping into the attack to rob it of it's power, Eliots foot CLANGs as the metal under Burrs suit does it's job. Burr himself doesn't even react to the shock of the impact, let alone the strike. He stops, grabbing Eliot by the ankle to hold his leg there. He stops, looking at the kick, and gives a nod as if to say 'Huh. nice kick. almost!'. The 'almost' is evident by the intense and slightly off grin Burr gives just before reaching up, taking off his hat, and slamming it down towards Eliots head!

Eliot feels the metal under the suit and he looks confused for a moment. Is this guy really wearing armor to a fight? Is... is that even allowed? What's the point? He doesn't understand it. It's not a test of one's own strength and skill if all you're doing is mitigating any chance that you might feel an attack. You'll grow less, because you're not put in a situation where you're really at risk.
Eliot still has a lot of naivety.
Just as Burr swings the hat down, Eliot lifts his arms, shielding his head, even as he retracts his foot from Burr's grip. The metal derby is hard against Eliot's arms, leaving them stinging and numb for his efforts. This guy is like a full on knight!
Shaking his arms off, Eliot does take a bit of distance once again. This time, as he springs back, he does so with an upwards sweep of his leg in a perfectly executed snap kick. Leaping off of his grounded foot, that leg follows suit, coming through with another snapping front kick, both aimed with the intention of knocking Burr off of his feet by connecting with his apparently unshielded face.

With all the acuity of a boxer, Burrs arms snap up. The kicks impact his forwarms with the dull thunds of force against metal, and with his grin still having not faded, Burr steps in.
Bringing his right arm back, left arm forwards, Burr sends a hard punch at Eliots chin. It's a standard move, with little more than proper punching technique behind it, but it is nonetheless effective on impact!

Perfect. Even if Burr had managed to deflect his initial attack with his armored plating, the ruse was simply to get him to move in with something easier for Eliot to handle. Something almost predictable. And it worked.
Burr's punch is executed adequately, for certain! However, Eliot moves to the side as the fist flies just past his chin, passing through a few wisps of the golden locks that splay out from underneath his cap. Eliot's arms slip around Burr's own, using the sharp-dressed fighter's own momentum to help jerk him forward and off balance, so that Eliot can deliver an open palm strike to his face, and another to his chest, and push him back with enough force that he should fall on his back.
Eliot bounces back on the balls of his feet, and then crosses his ankles and leans to the side, holding one hand in the air and bending his elbow so that it looks as if he's leaning against an invisible solid surface.
The palm connects cleanly with Burrs jaw, snapping his head to the side, and the dull thud of the chest impact is enough to send the dapper fighter over!
Despite his attire, Burr is easily able to roll with the fall, coming up on his feet. He gives a nod to Eliot, before pointing his cane at him. He grins maliciously a moment before a thin line of sickly green chi fires from it's tip towards Eliot!

As Burr regains his footing, Eliot stops "leaning against the wall" and stands back upright. The nod is met with a more gracious bowing of the head from the younger, white faced fighter as a sign of respect. And then the green burst of chi starts to shine at the tip of that cane. Does this man have any end to his tricks?!
Eliot weaves to the side, letting that blast of chi pass by him as he closes in on Burr once again. This time, he comes in close. Super close. He reaches out, trying to use one hand to grab hold of the wrist of the hand that holds the cane, while his other arm slips, like a serpent, around Burr's neck. A low placed crossing kick is sent towards Burr's shin, not meaning to damage by blunt force impact, but rather to sweep his foot out from under him so that Eliot can pull him back, almost as if dipping him in a dance, and only to redirect all of his body's momentum and strength into exploding in the opposite direction, and flinging Burr to the ground.

With a grunt of pain, Burr is flung quite well, impacting on the ground at Eliots feet!
Without missing a beat, in a burst of speed, Burr pushes himself up with his arms! Half way up, he swings his arms up again so that by the time he's standing, they are ready to go! Using that upwards momentum, he grabs at Eliots neck! If he manages to grab it, he single-handedly will lift Eliot off the ground outright. After a moment of pause for the camera to make it look dramatic, he will follow this up by slamming him down on his back on the ground!

As Burr springs back to his feet, Eliot staggers back a bit in surprise. Elliot tries to grasp the limb that comes to clench him, but he is unable to get his grip secured in order to mount an effective counter. Instead, Burr gets a hold on that slender throat of the young fighter, as Eliot struggles and kicks his legs. Lifted off of the ground, Eliot may or may not be playing up his choked-silent agony for the sake of the crowd. But when he's slammed down, there is no denying just how much he really did feel that!
He winces, and silently moans, rolling to one side and clutching at his back, before taking to his feet swiftly, in order to avoid being kicked while he's down.
Standing there over the downed Eliot, Burrs watches as he groans and writhes in pain, smiling. He seems content to let his opponent feel it, doing little to follow up.
At least, at first. As Eliot starts to recover, Burr gives a sharp kick at the mans face. Just enough to potentially prolong Eliots suffering. Hit or miss, he otherwise then steps back, allowing him to stand up, hands on his cane, unnerving smile on his face, eyes dark and vicious in their expression.
COMBATSYS: Eliot instinctively blocks Mr.Burr's Light Kick.

Oh, when that kick comes, Eliot is prepared for it. Even as the boy rises, he seems to simply bat the kick aside, as if it were second nature to him. His eyes never once flinch, nor leave Burr's own. It's not anger that meets that intense and menacing stare. It's a sense of passive glee. Eliot is enjoying himself. Despite the creep that just settled in, in the knowledge that Burr is going to take some perverse pleasure in his pain.
As soon as he is on his feet, Eliot lurches forward, reaching out to grab hold of Burr at the wrist, jerking his hands off of that cane, and trying to pull him forward, into a powerful palm thrust centered at his gut. Yes, he knows well that Burr is likely to be armored there, but... the armor in the stomach area has to be jointed in order for him to move. It has to be flexible. Which also means that there's a good chance it'll penetrate. And if not, Eliot's attack itself is strong enough that it should be able to be felt. He hopes, at least.
Provided that the palm strike does the trick, it'll leave Burr collapsed around his hand, so that Eliot can shift on his feet to turn his side to Burr, and then stomp forward with explosive power, using his other forearm to strike across Burr's chest, not only to damage, but also to push him away and send him flying.

Once more, Burr merely steps forwards into the strike, allowing it to impact against the armor under his suit. The blunt shock from the impact causes some bruising, but the strike is robbed of its force due to proximity.
Burr then proceeds to throw a series of punches at Eliots face and chest, ending in another grab at the throat followed with the same ground slam as before!

Dammit. He needs to get past this guy's armor. Strikes aren't doing the trick. He has to keep with the throws, but that will become predictable. So then... what else is there? Eliot does not have the mastery of Qi that would allow him to create energy attacks and other mystical things like that. He only has his body, his skill, a GED and a give 'em Hell attitude.
It'll have to do.
Regrouping himself, as Burr unleashes his combo of attacks, Eliot's face goes almost blank. Passive. Serene. Each of Burr's punches meets only Eliot's open palms, which collapse perfectly around them in order to not just deflect the attacks, but to eat their entire impact. The grab for his throat, this time, his caught, and Eliot shakes his head, wagging one finger in front of Burr's face before he steps in with his left foot. His left fist follows, driving upwards with a sidefisted uppercut aimed under the dapper villain's chin. Unrelentingly, Eliot advances, pushing Burr back, regardless of whether or not that initial hit lands. With the right foot stomping the ground, the right fist follows with another uppercutting fist.
His left arm rears back, his shoulder turning so that when he drives the final punch into Burr's stomach, while leaping forward, it drives all the wight of his body, as well as all of his muscular strength, into that single final blow to try to ground the man once again. Eliot WILL punch through that armor. If it kills him.

As Eliot attempts to turn things around for himself, so does Burr attempt to turn around the turn around! When Eliot intercepts his throat-grab, Burr attempts to hook his canes crook around the wrist to pull him off balance!
Unfortunately, Burrs reaction time isn't good enough to pull it off, and all Eliots followup connects cleanly in the resulting opening!
While the final blow doesn't manage to punch a hole through the armor, it DOES dent it decently! Regardless of this, the blunt impact still does damage to the vulnerable flesh and bone beneath, and Burr is stunned for a moment with a pained expression, using his cane to hold himself up and avoid the vulnerability that comes from being doubled-over
Finally! Eliot grins as he feels his knuckles buckle the metal under the suit. Now he just needs to keep up the momentum. Burr's attempt at breaking up Eliot's rhythm falls just flat as the young fighter pushes on, punching and punching again.
But, he wasn't going to let up there, either. Without so much as a breather, Eliot continues pressing the assault. Burr, in his mind, had become a castle to be seiged, and he had cracked the gate. He just needs to keep driving forward and never let up. If he can do that, he can win this!
Eliot lunges in, delivering another of those underhanded punches aimed for Burr's stomach. Immediately, his hands lash out to try to grasp hold of Burr's own, jerking them up and out of the way so that he might be left wide open. His left fist draws back once again, this time driving in to the side, hoping to find an opening in the plates where it seems most likely. He follows that through with a swift backhanded forearm strike leveled at Burr's face.
This should stagger his opponent enough for Eliot to draw back both of his fists, rearing back far enough that his front foot rises from the ground. Suddenly, he snaps forward, stomping down as he thrusts both arms out, trying to deliver a brutal double punch to Burr's armored torso. With any luck, it'll demolish that armor and win the day!

Unfortunately for Burr, his armor does not hold out. Eliots blows are hard enough to deal basic blunt trauma through the metal, precisely why armor was countered by maces in past eras. His body is rocked by the impacts right up until that diving strike. The opening Eliot is looking for is found, right between the plates near the armpits. Reeling from the sudden shock of pain, the backhand stuns Burr, filling his vision with colors.
The double-punch finishes things, and Burr is sent flying backwards, landing with a dull crunch on the concrete. For a moment, he blacks out, and the crowd erupts in cheers after a moment as Eliot is declared the victor!
When Burr DOES regain consciousness, he sits there on the ground, smirking, his only response to tip his hat to Eliot before pulling himself up.

After Burr is sent flying away, Eliot breathes a sigh of relief. He really wasn't certain that he would make that one. And when Burr doesn't get back up, Eliot eventually lets down his guard. It... it seems he's... won?
He jumps, and almost opens his mouth to give a victory cry, but remmembers his "character" and covers his mouth with both hands to the delight of the crowd. After that, he'll take a few moments, doing the played out, but still tried and true routine of pretending he's trapped in an invisible box of some kind. It's not until Burr sits up that Eliot pauses, and turns his attention back to the sitting fighter.
Eliot offers a smile of those ruby red lips, and pulls the cap he had reclaimed from the floor somewhere, back off of his head, tucking it against his waist as he bows. He's very thankful for the match. It taught him a lot. His entire demeanor radiates that sense of gratefulness and naive delight.
And then a skeevy looking guy in sunglasses and a cheap polyester suit comes out to rush the young fighter away!
