Description: Every new fighter has their ultimate opponent to face. It's not Ryu, it's not Ken, and it's not even one of the countless crime bosses in the world. No, the first opponent they must truly face is the champion of the Rookie circuit, Sven Maesters. While the wrestling swede barely holds on to his title as the world champion, he is nevertheless the true test of every new face. This new face in this case? A familiar one for Sunshine City; Kayla of the Rivera family, the sole heir and keeper of the family arts. She will be demonstrating those arts at Sunshine City, before heading off on her global trotting tour. Will she have the stuff to make Sven sweat? Or will she get a rude awaken Wolfensteinered into her?
The name and status to Sven Maesters was unknown; he just wasn't really big into regional stuff. Now wrestling personalities, he could follow. But outside of that, he was far more limited. Even Sunshine City was a new and strange thing to him. It was where he was supposed to meet someone for an SNF, and be a kind of... introduction to the fighting world. Being a world rookie champion was about as faint of praise that someone could muster, but it definitely gave him a reputation of... benchmarks. He would do his best, but right now, it was the city for him.
That's probably why he was looking out at the skyline now.
Standing on the rooftop of the Sunshine 60 Hotel (the very hotel he is staying at now, in fact), the blonde-haired swede was looking out over the dimming twilight, looking at the lights that were just about to shine. He was dressed in a pair of khakis and black army boots, and little else. The bearded swede couldn't push himself too close, the fencing around the edge of the roof was there to keep people from falling off. Especially in a fight. But he was clinging to the chain fence, staring with blue eyes to the magnificent landscape of the city. "Sunshine City..." He growls to himself.
"Is nice city, yah."
Kayla, on the other hand, was born in Sunshine City. She knows the place like the back of her hand - better, actually; most people don't look at the back of their hands very often - and though the skyline is (as always) beautiful, it doesn't grab her attention like the way it often does with visitors.
Being any kind of world champion is worthy of respect, rookie league or not. Kayla does not give Sven much of that respect as she saunters over towards him, taking a spot about ten feet away. "Enjoying yourself?" she asks, as she glances over the skyline herself with a faint smile. It /is/ quite a sight. "Hopefully it won't distract you /too/ much."
Kayla doesn't follow wrestling, but this isn't Sven's first SNF - and, hey, he's a champion after all - and she has at least a vague idea who he is. She still seems pretty cocky, but then again, that's pretty normal for fighters, isn't it?
"Better than Stockholm, in some ways."
"I do not get distracted." Sven states gruffly, pulling off the fence at Kayla's words. Turning around, he looks down a bit at Kayla; she was tall for a woman, but Sven was, well, nordic. He nods at Kayla. "I am Sven Maesters, I am the Warwolf, yah?" He introduces himself, stepping across the rooftop, flexing a bicep as he comes. "You are Kayla Rivera? You are fresh new opponent. I hope I give fair fight." Sven doesn't smile, but he nods at the camera. "I have character I play in fights, I may be very loud and rude. It is just a character, yah? You play along if you like. It is not good character. But I am okay fight." Sven gives a thumbs up to the camera, and steps back a bit, brushing off his hands as he looks at Kayla. "Make sure you talk about yourself! This fight about you. I will make fun of you, but people should get to know you!" Sven Maesters pounds his chest a few times, before waiting for the cue from the camera. 1. 2. 3.
"Who is this garbage?" Sven bellows, sticking his chin up towards Kayla.
"Who is this hot garbage of trash city?"
COMBATSYS: Sven has started a fight here.
Kayla has to look up at Sven. It doesn't bother her. The bigger they are, and so forth.
"That's me," Kayla says, brightly and accompanying it with a smile. She then gets her first lesson in keyfabe, which doesn't quite wipe the smile off her face but does get her to look a little more serious. "You act however you like. Don't worry, even if you were awful I could at least entertain myself... but if you're still up for a real fight, I think it'll go over just fine. But don't expect me to hold back for a show."
Kayla likes showing off. But she also likes to win.
She does not expect Sven to start bellowing at her as soon as the cameras are running. She reflexively takes a half step back, putting one foot behind her - but then pushes forward, not wanting to show weakness. "Who are you calling garbage?" she snaps back, followed by: "And what city are you calling /trash/? At least we're not locked in an Ice Age like Stockholm! My name is Kayla Rivera and I'm the one who's going to kick your ass for everyone to see!"
Kayla doesn't have anger problems. That implies she ever has a problem with anger. She's just... exciteable. Yes.
Good, good, she was working with it.
Sven hoped for a real fight; the character bit was just to help get a good momentum. Sven was kind of a tweener; he could antagonist if he needed to antagonist, and he could get a kind of bad boy hero thing going on too. His stage work wasn't great though, to be honest; he didn't work a mic well, and his grasp of English was a bit stiff. But what he lacked in ring work, he tried to compensate with stuff like this. So when Kayla lashes back with passion?
He does his best to feed off it.
"Compared to Sunshine City, oh?" Sven growls back. "Your city is polluted and dirty! Filled with crime, and it has no culture!" Sven sweeps his arms. "Your city is as ugly as you are! You are rich spoiled brat! Rivera family, feh, who heard of Rivera! You have Rivera family style? Is it sitting on fat bottom, eating bon-bons and getting payoffs from banks!" Sven strides closer to Kayla, arms apart, everything just... threatening. And yet, he motions for Kayla to make the first move. "You think you can kick ass! You are going to come here to do it, yah?"
"Come on, show the Warwolf what you can do!"
There is definitely going to be a real fight. Kayla has heard of restraint but wants no part of it.
Her training also absolutely did not include mic work. Everything she does is with real passion, her actual emotion - which means she has no practiced fallbacks for Sven when he insults her and her city. At least he warned her, but even so. She is momentarily flustered, her cheeks reddening as he goes after her.
"Says the man who's hiding his face behind a mask," she shoots back. "You want to talk shit about the greatest city in the States? Let's show you what's up!"
Kayla has apparently decided to get straight to the 'fighting' part. She certainly wastes no time; she advances carefully for a step, then rushes forward, going low. She plants her hands on the ground and puts her body into a two-footed kick, sweeping with both legs in an impressive display of upper-body strength... and innate power, judging by the sudden burst of wind that erupts if she manages an impact against Sven's legs.

Sven was almost ready, when she comes in.
Boldly standing fast, he watches her approach with careful focus. As she goes for the hand plant, Sven actually steps in, predicting a high kick to duck under. He's in the middle of his duck as the legs come in -low-, the girl showing her upper body strength and more as it comes slamming into his legs.
Sven is knocked off his feet, staggering on the suddenly loss of momentum. Groaning loudly as the wind cuts him deeply, he snarls as his legs and upper torso gets lightly lacerated. Hitting his back, he looks up, peering from behind his mask. "You think I need to hide my face?" The wrestler growls as he rolls backwards. Heading towards the fence, he leaps up to a bounding stand towards the chain link fence. Digging his boots in, he rebounds off it, lunging -straight- back at Kayla with a single superman punch, attempting to come colliding in with overwhelming power and momentum. And all with a howl.

"I don't know about /need/ to," Kayla shoots back, "but want to? Oh, yeah!"
Kayla keeps her legs from dragging as she finishes her kick, getting her feet under her and rising smoothly. That cleared some distance, but as she knows it won't last long before he's back in the game - and she's right. He's bouncing off the fence as quick as that, and Kayla brings up her arms to defend herself.
She is a little slow. Sven is faster than she gave him credit for, possibly because of his size, and she wasn't able to either clear out of the way or even absorb the blow with her arms. The impact drives Kayla back a step and draws a pained grunt from her, but she's acting even before her ribs stop hurting; she tries to grab ahold of Sven's outstretched punching arm and pivot, tossing him further toward the center of the rooftop and using his momentum against him.
His momentum... and a dull rumbling of electrical chi, dancing along her fingertips when she goes for the grab.

Speed and power.
Sven's size made him about on the same level as several other wrestlers in his class in terms of strength, but Sven's style eschewed using his strength for straight muscleman techniques, but more for a blend. His agility, his leaping around all was very exhausting, but it allowed him to use his powerful legs and arms in tandem. It made him kind of a middle man in between wrestlers who were faster and more agile, and those who could use pure strength. But when it all came together? Sven Maesters could combine his strength, defense, and speed into overwhelming attacks.
Just like this one.
As Sven cuts through Kayla's guard with a surging punch, he lands on both feet. Already, he was flipping forward, his body bulging with strength as he grunts. The grip comes on his arms, and Sven makes a -painful- gambit, as he twists uncomfortably in the grip, flipping forward to snap his legs around Kayla's throat. He doesn't even take back his arm as the electrical energy surges over him. Screaming in pain and rage, he pivots back in turn, slamming Kayla head first into the rooftop. Rather than the pin, he releases her, letting her some space as he stays on the ground, gasping for air. The wind was blown clear from him, yes, and he was already over exerting his reserves. But it was an explosive opening, and already, he was bellowing back.
"You take that, and shove it up your Sunshine!"
Things Kayla has learned today: maybe don't try to out-wrestle the wrestler, that's a real bad plan.
In Kayla's mind, what would happen is that she'd give Sven a little push with a spark of chi, she'd get some distance, she'd follow it up with - something. Nailing that part down ended up mattering a little less because by the time she finishes the first step, she finds herself being lifted up and over -
Kayla sort-of catches herself. Sort of, in that she's not knocked out from the blow to her head, but she is rather dazed; she doesn't really land so much as flop onto her back and stay down for a few moments, seeing stars, while Sven bellows at her. It's actually the yelling that rouses her; it gives her something to focus on and something to push against.
Kayla remains on her back for a moment but orients her feet toward Sven. Still seeing spots, she kicks up with her legs, doing a momentary handstand before /springing/, more forward than up; she sends herself feet-first with a yell, rotating like a slow drill, toward Sven. Wind swirls around her - it looks like her toes are the lowest point of a tornado, and winds whirl around her body, speeding up her drill-like spin.
Oh, and her yell? "THEN TASTE THE SUN!" Maybe she hit her head harder than she thought.

Sven 1/-======/=======|=======\==-----\1 Kayla
Sven was giving Kayla a full test.
Oh, sure the trash talking was a bit of an act. But what Sven had learned on the pro circuit of fighters is that every fight was the real thing, and had to be the real thing. No fake fights, 100% real. And Kayla was providing it. While the first take down bruised and cut him up, that shocking grasp was where the real damage was. Sven could handle bumps and bruises, and even a little blood. But energy attacks was something he always had trouble with. As Kayla turns rightside up with the handstand, he breathes hard, watching, keeping his edge. Kayla was the real deal, he could see that so far. As she yells? He bellows back. "You are like sunny D to my orange juice, yah!"
And he couldn't give up any ground to her, no matter what.
The kickspin drill comes rioting towards Sven, and the wrestler actually steps back, eyes wide behind his mask. The top spin assault was... what was that? He was watching, trying to think, trying to figure out how to break around it. It closes in, the wind blowing around his pants, his hair. He lowers into a crouch, and finally decides.
And Sven rides the wind.
Well, not literally. But close enough. As the winds come, Sven seems to be waiting, timing it as he circles around. And when the edge of the tornado comes, he leaps. Riding the momentum of the wind, he lets it carry him back to the fence. He slams against it, and rebounds with a leap straight back. Now, he was spiraling, body parallel to the ground as he flings sideways into a corkscrew DDT. Sven attempts to -smash- through the tornado with his own momentum, smash his legs hard for the girl behind it. And should he succeed? He would clamps those shins around her again, and -slam- he right into the roof once more. An attack that would leave him exposed on the ground, yes. But he couldn't let up, not once.
Even as he gasp breathlessly for air.

This is one of the maneuvers Kayla developed herself, not something traditional. You watch enough fighters - in her case, Andy Bogard with a splash of other fighters - and you come up with showy, flashy maneuvers. (But at least it's legally distinct from Cannon Drill.)
Kayla slides along the ground after she loses enough height, one leg giding along it in a sliding kick that's the follow-up to her drilling strike before she flips herself back up to her feet. She's sore - painful, even, as Sven can deliver painful blows when he wants to - but determined. She gives a slightly weary grin.
When Sven barrels in, this time she is ready for it. He finds his grip difficult to maintain as Kayla squirms away from it, though he still managed to penetrate the tornado, so it's not a total loss. But instead of letting him waste his power harmlessly, Kayla grabs Sven and rolls backwards, pulling him with her.
She lands on her back, ideally with Sven falling on top of her - but she jackknifes, using her feet to launch Sven up and over her backwards in a somersault throw, accompanied with a taser-like stunning discharge!

It was a manner of skill at the rookie level.
It was a common mistake to think that fighters around Sven's level were 'amatuer.' Many were trained fighters, just lacking in a bit of experience in there sometimes. Even Sven was an example of someone experienced to the extremes of their skill. Kayla had a lot more natural talent than Sven, who relied on training with his physique. And yet, as the complicated DDT comes, Sven is caught, rolled backwards on the impact as well. Off balanced, he finds himself over Kayla. And when the jackknife comes? He manages to counter it with pure strength, hooking downward on her own pivot as it becomes a complete mess of a grapple transition. WHat's worse? The electrical energy comes anyways, jolting Sven out of the hold. The shock still courses over him, however, cutting deep as he flails away. It was an ugly breakout, and Sven was not proud of it. This time, when he rolls up? He doesn't unlock form his guard properly. He draws in a heavy breath, sucking air, struggling against the tastes of fatigue. He seems almost paralyzed.
Until his flexes.
"GRAGH! Enough!" Sven Maesters roars, as he grabs his mask, and -rips- it off. Throwing away the wolfman mask, he sucks in a heavy surge of air, as his body burns red with strength. Flexing his chest, his arms, he grunts aloud before howling up to the sky. "AROOOOOO!" The blond-beard Swede calls out, glaring across with burning blue eyes. "You call on the wolf!"
"You get wolfed!"
And Sven charges at Kayla. Unleashing a staggering hand chop with the right, he follows up with a punch with the left. Another punch comes from the right, and a kick comes out low and fast with his left leg. The relentless assault comes to a close as he attempts to slam both of his hands together around Kayla. Should he get a grip there? He would lift her up on his shoulder for a moment, giving a thumbs up to the camera, before unleashing a back drop, sending her straight down to the rooftop a third time!

Sven 0/-------/<<<<<<<|>>>>>>>\>>>>>>>\2 Kayla
Sven is right about at least one thing: neither of the fighters here are exactly amateurs. Kayla is well-trained and honestly fairly talented, though perhaps with less experience in real battles than she needs; Sven is more experienced, more practiced, though without the advantages Kayla's chi gives her.
But it's experience that's proving to be the dealbreaker today, and on that front Sven absolutely has the advantage. His breakout may have been ugly but it was effective, so when Kayla rolls through and bounds to her feet he's not where she hopes and expects him to be. Nor has the shocking throw stunned him as much as she'd like, judging by the sheer speed and power he comes at her with.
Once again, Kayla tries to deflect the incoming assault, but the speed is too much for her. She catches the hand chop, just barely, but the follow-up punches disorient her enough for him to get a good grip, lift, and slam!
Ow, Kayla thinks, mostly seeing stars. The only sound she makes is a kind of wordless grunt as the air is knocked out of her on impact.
But despite the battering, she's still moving. She seems unsteady for a few moments as she gets her hands and feet planted and pushes herself up, but she actually manages it, rising to her feet as she fights through the dazing impact's effects on her. "Yeah," she manages to get out as she pushes herself fully upright, almost challenging Sven as she looks up at him, "but if there's one thing little puppy dogs are afraid of, it's lightning!"
Kayla stomps her foot, and there's a vertical eruption of lightning - from the ground, through her body, and upward, accompanied with a booming thunderbolt. It blasts out of her in all directions, a shroud of slender bluish bolts formed of pure chi; most hit nothing at all and simply fade away several feet out, but Sven is close enough that a few of them are likely to strike and throw him backwards, the booming chi hitting with kinetic force more than the lightning it visually resembles.
COMBATSYS: Sven auto-guards Kayla's Azure Surge.

Sven 0/-------/<<<<<<<|>>>>>>>\-------\0 Kayla
It was time for the big one.
Sven's been preparing for the lightning for a while; he's had little sparks and fizzles in this fight, a mere taste of the pure thunder that Kayla was packing. As he drops her down hard, he doesn't lose the momentum. He felt it coming, he -knew- it was coming. He could almost taste the ozone before it comes. Sven circles, trying to find a place to position himself, any advantageous place to position himself. At best, he positions himself between the fence and the girl. As the lightning and wind builds, the stomp comes... and not even Sven seemed ready for what comes.
Sven takes the first jolt hard, and he is knocked backwards, sent hurling backwards into the chain link fence. Blinded by the flash, this hardly was an advantage; the moment the electrical current hits the fence, it becomes a livewire under Sven's booted feet. In a stroke of strength and balance, his chest heaving, he only digs his heels in; no hands or flesh touch the fence as another bolt grazes him. Batting away that bolt, the smell of ozone mingles with the smell of burning rubber; his soles were melting into the metal. His hairs were rising up over his body. So far, Sven was avoiding the direct current passing over -him- through a combination of luck and careful positioning. That was running out of time. As another beam of blue burns through his shut eyelids, the wrestling barks out.
"Sven is no puppy dog."
That was the bellowing sound as Sven Maesters -cleaves- through the arc of lighting coming at him, with both of his chopping hands. Slashing through them, he launches off the fence as the flash of blue explodes behind him, the bottoms of his boots left behind on it. The fence was broken now, torn by the electrical current. For the moment, it looked like Sven wouldn't have an opportunity to use his leaping rebound tricks anymore, without sending the fight elsewhere on the rooftops. But hurling forward, he launches at Kayla in a tumbling flip, bringing the back of his heel up, the remains of his black boots flapping and fluttering into pieces. And there, he brings it around into a desperate flying dropkick. It lacked the finesse of his proper leg work; it was a desperate hurling counter attack as the smell of ozone still fills the air.
"Sven is THE WARWOLF!"

Sven 1/-------/=======|>>>>>>>\>>-----\1 Kayla
Throwing chi with reckless abandon is /hard/. Kayla has to focus to channel so much energy, and it leaves her unable to verbally respond to Sven as the power erupts from her, forming an almost spherical shell around her before beginning to fade away. Usually that's enough to keep people away from her.
Not this time.
Sven carves right through the arc of energy, splitting it; one half hits the rooftop and traces a line across it, kicking up dust and smoke, while the other arcs upward and winks out after a few more feet. Kayla is recentering herself after the somewhat reckless assault, and the flying dropkick penetrates her defenses, slamming hard against her shoulderblade.
It sends Kayla staggering back, all thoughts of following up her chi blast with another driven from her head. She has barely enough control to manage a backwards flip, trying to drive her heel into whatever part of Sven she can get contact with with a final discharge of bright storm-tinged chi in a kick as she ends up doing a handspring.
She's not entirely sure she's going to land on her feet after she bounds backwards. Or keep fighting. It's up to fate.

It was a demonstration of skill from both sides.
Sven unleashes the kick, dropping barefoot on the rooftop. His feet are rough on the sandpaper, and he winces as he stares across at Kayla. Adrenaline was rushing through him, his heaving chest puffing with every breath. He couldn't stop, he wouldn't stop. But she had to stay down, for him to not keeping pushing it. And as she staggers back up, Sven realizes.
She wasn't down yet.
Sven realizes this as massive kick comes, repositioning Kayla with the handspring. The towering Swede is still quick in his exhaustion, breathing hard as he slips around it, pushing away the electric limb as he repositions away. He doesn't even have enough space to push it harder. Another surge of energy comes, as he forces himself to center. There was no chance for springboard action, no space for his own leaping. With the fencing torn down, he was ultimately cornered. And Sven wasn't slowing down. Breathing accelerating, he charges at Kayla, attempting a straight takedown on her. ANd if he manages the tackle? He would try and make sure she -stayed- down, giving a breathless pin. He was still red, he was still reckless and fast. But the problem was? He was on a timer now. And if Kayla kept pushing him further? He was going to crash.
And there was no way to escape the lightning then.

Sven may be running the ragged edge of exhaustion, but so is Kayla, though she wouldn't like to admit it.
She looks like she should be down. She hurts; Kayla has pushed herself through some powerful strikes and slams, and not without injury. She's tired; it took a lot more out of her to control that outpouring of chi than she'd like to admit, and she's been flipping and jumping pretty much the entire match.
But she, like Sven, is still up. And if she's being honest, she's having the time of her life right now. She's grinning, at least, despite everything.
When Sven charges at her, she is almost too slow to clear out of the way - but this time, she manages it, practically dancing around Sven as she circles to the left. Planting her foot on the landing, she continues the rotation to drive a solid kick at Sven's back to keep him off balance, then strikes twice more before she lowers her leg again, planting it on the ground. There is, this time, no chi - she's not holding back to make it easier for him, she's just spent and recovering, focusing her energies inward instead of outward.

Sven doesn't smile too often.
But Kayla was making him work. For the dour wrestler, he considered this a fair fight. Fun? Sven did not have fun. He worked hard. Even now, this was hard work, and the joy he got was from that work. As the takedown comes, the wrestler groans in frustration as Kayla escapes his grasps. Sven was moving faster, faster, accelerating desperately as he goes faster, and faster. Already, he felts the last pangs of his adrenaline rush through him. He needed the pin. He had to get the pin. Without the pin, she was going to keep fighting.
Time was running out for Sven.
"Time To Finish This!" Sven roars as he rises up. He wasn't backing up now. This time -throwing- himself into the deft kicking that Kayla was unleashing. As Kayla dances, so does Sven, moving in tandem. In this case, it barely works for Sven. Without the electrical energy, Sven is given the opportunity for a little more recklessness. A recklessness that pays off handsomely, as he deflects the kicking combos precisely in tandem. Not driving back, no, Sven stays inside her circle as he carefully moves in tandem with her, the kick to his back being pushed and redirected, the same with the two more, the change-up being part of the dance. Sven wasn't losing his balance, he was keeping it. By the time she plants her feet on the ground? Sven was right beside her, lashing his arms out.
Trying to grab her.
If he gets a grip, he would swing her around, whipping her in a full 360' spin. And then, he would keep in place, to let the momentum go, to whip her around his body. The complicated attack would come to a close as he would lift her up, and then finish with a staggering backbreaker across his knee, slamming them both down. Whether she escaped by then, or even avoided the attack all together?
Sven would collapse over to the ground, his energy suddenly spent.

Sven 1/----===/=======|=======\======-\1 Kayla
Kayla is too out of breath from her constant whirling assault to actually respond to Sven with words afterwards, when he roars at her. Instead, she does something much simpler, more direct.
Kayla curls her hand and makes a 'come on' gesture with her fingers. She's not going to give up, even now. Maybe especially now. She wanted to give a good show for her first publicized outing, and she's done that - now she wants to /win/, which is much harder. But she has to try. She's not the sort of girl who gives up as soon as things get a little tough.
Kayla almost - /almost/ - manages to avoid Sven's grasping arms. He's fast, but she's faster - just not enough faster to move her whole body out of the way when she's as fatigued as she is. His grip is a little awkward, but it's enough to whirl her off her feet (she's light).
Dizzy as she is, Kayla's attempt to free herself only manages to make it worse - it means Sven has less control over her positioning when he brings her back down for the backbreaker. It does not literally do what it's named after, of course, but the impact to her upper back is hard enough that she feels the impact throughout her entire body, a dull spike of impact that radiates from just below her shoulderblades outward and around.
She rolls away when Sven collapses, having dropped her and fallen himself, and she's not pinned, at least - but she is downed. More or less; Kayla gets her hands under her and springs in a manner he might find familiar. It burns to do; she does it anyway.
The storm returns, a crackling aura of electrical chi around Kayla's lower body and legs. She's working mostly on manic energy as she rushes the fallen Sven, leaping high into the air before diving down in a two-footed stomp that causes a shockwave of electricity to erupt from her landing point.
But that seems to take it out of her. She sags afterwards, having put almost everything into that final blow. She drops to one knee, trembling, trying to force herself to rise...

For a moment, it was anybody's fight.
Sven was on the ground, after his staggering slam. Kayla? Equally stunned. For a moment, it might even be a close DKO. Sven just barely begins to ise though, as Kayla gets up -faster-. The girl -dives- down at him, and the wrestler feebly brings up his arms. This time, there is no speed, no escape. The barefooted Warwolf lets out a pained groan as she -stomps- a thunderstruck assault squarely on Sven. For a moment now, it was Kayla winning, as the wrestler flails and twitches, spasming at the electrical current.
But then, Kayla drops to the ground.
Once again, what was the outcome? Sven is still writhing on the ground, as Kayla collapses in a heap. The judges wait, as Sven... Sven still writhes and squirms. Turning over, he lets out another groan. On all fours now, he slams his fists on the sandpaper roofing. And slowly, very, very slowly, he rises up. Standing tall, he looks around, dazed, the flashes a blue still before his eyes. And Kayla... does not rise either. She was burned out. Sven looks over at the judges, holding up a hand. It wasn't time to call a winner yet.
It wasn't quite over.
"I was getting worried there, yah?" Sven bellows, crossing his arms. "But your lightning kicks are pretty good! I had too many close calls! As World Champion, I give my blessing for you to go out to the world! You still have to practice, so fight many opponents! You have what it takes for big leagues!" Sven Maesters gives a resounding thumbs up. "Good job Kayla Rivera!" And he throws back his head into a howl.
