SNF: Interview with Chaolan - Fri Jan 23 2015 - Jackal
When you're on top of the world, it can be a long way down. While the Mishima Karate royal is far from being the crown prince, Lee Chaolan comes from a stern pedigree as part of one of the strongest fighting families in the martial arts world today. While much has changed over the years with the recent tumult over the various Mishima companies that make up the family's dominating empire, Lee Chaolan has walked in his family's footsteps, founding his own company and becoming a phenom in the world of fighting himself. Now, fresh off of his belt win in competing promotion's Circuit of Champions Eastern Master Division, the dashing rogue sits down with us to discuss his future plans, and his upcoming bout with G-KING champion Chao Liu.
SNF: "Thank you for sitting down with us. The record shows that you're a bit of ladies' man. With a belt win in the PFW Circuit of Champions over Baiken and now a title matchup with Chao Liu, is there any truth to the idea that you might be trying to increase your pro standings in order to woo a mystery woman?"
LEE: "Ah Ha ha! Well, to be honest Mike, I am trying to woo a mystery woman... but that woman is a mystery to me! I am looking for someone with passion, with purpose, with ambition. Someone who has a strong sensitive side, yet at the same time, a wild, feral face! Someone who needs me to help them, and at the same time, for them to help me! I was hoping to find that in Baiken, and yet, I found her wanting. But maybe if I have a few more public fights, I can find that mystery woman... to seize my heart~"
SNF: "Wow. An open challenge to the ladies out there. Going back to the men in your life, Chao Liu is a relative unknown to the fighting world--the exact type of fighter that the G-KING promotion excels at finding. What's your thoughts? Are you a little jealous that the black sheep of the Mishimas is getting billing with a complete stranger to pro fighting? Do you think Chao's skills are legitimate?"
LEE: "Ah ha! Well, Greg, when my dear, adoring father Heihachi found me, I was an unknown, a mere orphan on the streets of Shanghai. When he adopted me, he saw an unique spark of fighting ability, and well, here I am now! It is important to remember that what the world sees as the greatest fighter is simply based on those who fight in the public eye, not in private. To give these fighters the opportunity to demonstrate their arts to the world is not just a gift to the fighting world, but an opportunity for these lost treasures to experience the public eye.
"As far as my honor goes, Peter, ha ha! While I do not have the glory of representing a school in a tournament, nor the respect of coaching the household pet to beat up young men and ladies to the top of the league, I consider it a great honor to be the final test for an unknown contender like Chao Liu.
"As for his skills, Bobby, he already has two victories under his belt! I have had seen the highlights reels of both of those fights, and it is clear that those were not fights thrown! It is certainly cute to see an old man to fight so well in two conflicting arts. The question here isn't whether or not his skills are legitimate at this point. The question here is whether he is truly able to reach the top echelons of world fighters! He might be able to master his two arts... but how well does he use them against other martial arts? That is what I hope to test him on."
SNF: "Ahrm. Right. If you win this, what sort of professional fights are you going to work on next? Any big plans?"
LEE: "Of course, Oliver! I will be going for the world Master Belt after this; as well as finishing up my victory in the Neo League! But there is another big plan on the horizon. I cannot give out the details yet, but I can tell you this: You just keep your eyes open, both ears on the ground, find a special someone to keep close to you, and make sure you stack up on plenty of sun screen!~"
SNF: "Ugh. Very ambitious goals for you. Any comments for the fans of Saturday Night Fight out there?"

[+] RAINBOW MIKA vs. BRETT in "AMBULANCE CHASER"
What about the patient?! Saturday Night Fight has commandeered one of Southtown's best stunt driving teams and one of the local hospital's fastest rides for a hair-raising nail-biting blitz through the city that'll leave your heart skipping a couple beats and in need of some nonstandard medicine! Promoting the work done by our hospital systems across Japan, today's fight pits wrestle-ess RAINBOW MIKA against hockey star BRETT NEUER as they duke it out atop and occasionally in a full size ambulance as it barrels through highway traffic on its way to the next stop on our tour! Don't worry, it all sounds extremely dangerous, but that's why we have Nurse Onatopp on call and ready to administer some righteous healing! Well, just kidding guys. She's actually a model. But she definitely is a real doctor, too. We think?!
NOTE: You have to end the fight on or in the ambulance to be considered a winner.
[+] ADELHEID vs. ROCK in "MOTOCROSSED"
With these two fighting prodigies, what fight fan could go wrong? Tonight's battle is set in the rough and rowdy Motocross Rally in southern California. Rather than fighting in the bleachers or the skybox or someplace boring, these two are right in the thick of it, right in the middle of one of the championship races! They'll have to dodge a lot more than mud to keep their pretty faces intact, cus these dirtbikes will be catching some serious air! In case you feel the need to be overly concerned with motocross purists out there, most of the loyals don't mind the little cross promotion--today's fight card has brought more female fight fans to a motocross rally than if Brad Pitt filmed a MotoX movie!
[+] YURI vs. MIKI in "THE PEAK"
Unveiling a new promotion for Saturday Night Fight, the engineers at Howard Industries are pleased to introduce THE PEAK. The Peak is SNF's gargantuan mobile fighting grounds--a huge testament to SNF's dominance in the world of professional fighting. The Peak is an artificial mountain made of geometric steel infrastructure and simulated rock, and it measures over a dizzying 300 feet (or 100 meters) tall! Hauled into place by a fleet of trucks, it's assembled piece by piece by fight technicians wherever its next fight will be. Today, YURI SAKAZAKI and MIKI MURAKAMI battle it out on the Peak in the warm African savannah. Any lions that make their way up the treacherous slopes will be considered a fight obstacle!!
[+] SADA vs. HONOKA in "VERY MERRY FERRY"
The enigmatic MIKO KOBAYASHI is hard to figure out, a Gedo student with many eerie secrets. Though some means, she's managed to avoid the normal process of fighter selection, instead assuring her a very leisurely match aboard the Veritable, a leisure ferry service carrying passengers on tours to and fro of the waterways near and around Southtown. Service and decor are very stylish and pro-American, but it remains to be seen whether this leaves a bad taste in the mouths of the fighters today. Of course, there's always a bad taste in certain individuals' mouths. SADA ASAI is Miko's opponent for the day--the Seijyun student has a few secrets of her own, which might equal a big score to settle between the two femme fatales!
[+] CHISAKI vs. TABITHA vs. SCRATCH in "FLU SEASON"
Unfortunately, the CDC was unable to predict the aggressiveness of the current flu season that's rocked the world of late, and it's been suggested that a second vaccine should be put synthesized and put into circulation. Unfortunately, that costs quite a bit of money, and bureaucracy has held up the lines to receive the vaccine. Not to mention the anti-vac protests going on, and the people who already have the flu who are looking for some relief. All in all, this has unfolded into a bit of a fiasco at a local clinic in Southtown. Never fear, SNF is here to chase away what ails you in this three (wo)man Get Well Soon bout! While some space was cleared for the promotion, it's pretty much been overrun by the time anyone gets there, so fighters CHISAKI, TABITHA and SCRATCH will have to get to rubbing elbows with some of the seriously sickly. Luckily, most of them are fight fans out there, who aren't in too bad a mood to be having a good opportunity to get up close and personal with their heroes. Just watch out for an aggressive Patient Zero!
NOTE: Patient Zero is a paid "extreme method" actor in the crowd. Any power hits or critical hits should definitely be attributed to zombie bites.
[+] SAKURA vs. JEZEBEL in "LAZ-R-TAG-D"
What is it with promotions, Sakura, and arcades? Thinking apparently with the same braincell as the PFW, SAKURA KASUGANO has been given full command of the R-TACTIX Run'n'Gun Ladies Lazer Tag Shack out in Metro City's Downtown area. Their claim to fame is that they offer a range of different types of weapons for the discerning tagger, from a discreet cricket-style phaser to an arguably overpowered 'laserzooka' that a few troll players have been using to inflict massive IR splash damage (that's a thing?) off walls lately. Apparently it's a big problem, according to the forums. Still, today's fight card is a hit with the teenager demographic, since SNF's brought buxom stunner LIGHTNING SPANGLES to the Tag Shack today to be Sakura's partner. She's traded in her trademark pop guns for tag blasters, and with these two sexy (they even used the word in promotional materials! On the same page as Sakura! REALLY?) brawlers, everyone knows things won't stay lasers and lightshows for long!
NOTE: There are two seperate winners for this battle. The winner of the fight, and then the winner of the Laser Tag competition. The winner of the laser tag component gets free Slurpees for a year. (at participating 7-Eleven locations)
[+] URIEN vs. MAKOTO and ALICE NAKATA in "WHO SITS ON THE IRON THRONE?"
In a custom arena built out in the middle of nowhere on the cold, arid steppes of Nepal, SNF staff have drug an iron throne out onto the battlefield, built of thick bands of metal and timber. Today, they have brought MAKOTO KATO and ALICE NAKATA, the best and brightest of the new generation of fighters to face the cruel and mysterious fighter URIEN, who is no stranger to fighting in bizarre corners of the world. Can the two girls evict the prince from his seat, or will they just end up as one more sacrifice for the reign of the master?

Someone's got to get the arena warmed up for the main event. In the preliminary to the headliner show, competitor hopeful HOTARU FUTABA takes the field in legendary Howard Arena against a whole new fighter; the evil delinquent ARACELY MARIA DE LA AZULES dominates the arena in another persona entirely as the devillish MOONCHILD. Hotaru's proven to be somewhat of a media darling for her innocence and purity, can she withstand not only the high flying wrestling of Lucha Libre, but the power of SATAN himself? (Look on the bright side. They could have made it oil wrestling. You think that the only reason they didn't is because they didn't want to clean the arena before the main event..)

Welcome to the VOYAGE OF FISTS, and Professional Fighting Worldwide is pleased to bring you on this journey to Zack Island. We would like to introduce you to the ship making the journey today, the sleek Illustrious. A Galvanic class cruise liner, the Illustrious is owned and operated by Equestrian Cruise Lines and has been specially prepared and leased for this event in a joint bargain between well known Muay Thai fighter Zack and the fight geniuses at Professional Fighting Worldwide. Weighing in at roughly 135,000 gross tons and measuring 879 feet long with a top speed of 21 knots, the Illustrious is a specialty cruise liner designed to host small fighting events, and its wide luxurious staterooms can hold up to 1,459 passengers.
It is staffed by an award-winning crew, "Sheer Brilliance," a beautiful, efficient and tough female staff, trained to anticipate any need or want you may desire. The Illustrious also hires many promotional staff, famous or famously talented people to entertain, serve, or amaze. The Illustrious is captained by the rugged Captain Hillman, who is rumored to be one of the most interesting men in the world.
Above all, the Illustrious is well known for its many amenities, such as its expansive Black Lotus nightclub and lounge, which is belowdecks and boasts a nighttime view of the sea like no other. The Illustrious' infamous massage parlor the Infatuation Palace extends across an entire deck of the liner, populated by many skilled masseurs, both professional staff and skilled celebrity alike. Ha, be careful, more than one person has fallen in love in those hallowed halls. Overall, the Illustrious has at least eight game rooms and has a full size swimming pool and several game courts on the main deck. Most well known of all is the promenade, a belowdecks experience spanning another entire deck with many shops and bistros on two seperate levels where you can find a little bit of everything aboard. For this reason, the promenade has gained the moniker "Silk Road," in reference to its luxury and great exchange, and many intense fights have been held there, at the pleasure of the captain, crew and all passengers alike.

She specializes in chi manipulation, and is heralded in some scientific circles as the originator of the 'Seithr Fluid Body Theory," an incomplete method of sealing excess chi. She uses Mantenbo, a staff which she can control with her mind with the help of her pet micropanda, Lao Jiu. She continues her research, all while looking for a certain man..

PFW: MASSAGES <3/4> - Fri Jan 30 2015 - Jackal
[+] ROSE vs. RACHEL in "DREAM PALACE"
Dominating a significant fraction of the ship, a large part of the luxury cruise liner's international appeal is its famous massage parlor, Infatuation Palace. Occupying one whole deck of the ship, the Palace is staffed with trained members of the ship's award-winning "Sheer Brilliance" staff, beautiful and trained masseuses who know just what to do to get you nice and relaxed on your voyage. While most of the staff are female, there are several very vigorous and attentive male staff on hand ready for any request, and the Illustrious actually spends quite a bit of money hiring famous guest masseuses for its voyages. That said, Rachel Alucard's been sent to the massage deck for her fight, where a dignified psychic has elected to make...extensive use of the facilities on hand as part of her voyage. It's not entirely sure whether Rachel will be nice enough to let Rose gather her things before the battle starts, but it's also plainly obvious Rose isn't just here to take advantage of the amenities... just what is the Tarot reader's intentions?
[+] BONNE JENET vs. HUGO in "THE DARK SIDE OF INFATUATION"
.And then there's the less attractive side of massage. While one can almost be positive that what Jenet was imagining when she checked in at the Palace was some young, virile, strapping man working out every kink in her body with his bare hands alone, that is basically not at all what's happening. She will begin to notice the disconnect when the deck begins to shake. Hugo less enters the room and more knocks down one of the adjoining walls. He has been hired by the Illustrious to give massages. And by God, massage he will. At over eight feet tall and looking like someone sewed babies into the biceps of a humanoid boar, Hugo was intended for none but the tensest of backs. Jenet's shapely back will never be the same if he gets his hands on it! Bonne is going to have to get out of here, before she's literally massaged to death!! D:
[+] MILA vs. NOBORU in "THAT COULD HAVE GONE BETTER"
Nobody's really exactly sure what happened here. At first, Noboru was hired as a masseuse for the famously popular Infatuation Palace, which is large enough to be hosting several battles aboard the ship today. He's actually quite good with his hands, so he's received many compliments from both women /and/ men, interestingly. Then, somewhere along the line he got passed a note that this particular passenger wants something called "the full bodied experience" -- and, well ... next thing you know, Noboru is probably flying through a wall and a fight's broken out. A suspicious man could strongly begin to suspect that they were the victim of sabotage, especially judging from the people with cameras who just so happened to be nearby.

[+] TABITHA vs. ROCKET in "THE UNDERGROUND"
It's called the Black Lotus. One of the most discerning nightclubs on the sea today, the Illustrious and its award-winning mostly-female staff, "Sheer Brilliance," are on call to provide whatever you need, whenever you need it, at any time. It can be a little hard to get away from the excessive but cavalier and seductive friendliness of the wait staff, but in the Black Lotus, it's almost too easy to get lost period. In the midst of the pulsing neon lights, a small battle's been arranged between two women not at all unfamiliar with the underground mentality; TABITHA COREN and RINA REILLY, both of whom have history on the mean streets of Metro City. Only time will tell if either has anything to teach the other about living life on the edge.
[+] JAM vs. SENNA in "ZACK APPROVED BATTLE"
As a tie in with Trouble in Paradise, Zack insisted upon there being some 'hot action' aboard the vessel. While the director of matches for PFW started to object that all the matches counted as hot action, Zack got on a table and started gyrating until the word 'bikini' was said three times. That's pretty much how you ended up in this situation. Out on deck there is a full size swimming pool, for anyone who wants to pre-emptively enjoy the sunny weather as the boat approaches paradise. It's by poolside the battle between JAM KURADOBERI and SENNA CHAIKET begins, two foxy ladies ready to throw down! To wear for their fight, they've been given the run of the "Sheer Brilliance" collection, an assortment of swimsuits chosen specifically by the Illustrious' mostly-female staff for their elegance, taste and beauty. It's all a warmup to the main event!
NOTE: A very tiny staffmember is going to be following Senna around, trying to put foundation and concealer on all the cuts and bruises she tends to accumulate the moment she's not looking. She is also going to try and style her hair. It will probably be very annoying.
[+] KASUMI vs. ADON in "THE CAPTAIN'S CHAIR"
"Listen, we have a problem, friend." Or so the story goes. KASUMI, while not officially on the boat, has been hired for a particular reason--a very loud and obnoxious passenger has declared himself captain of the ship. While he's in charge, nobody has been able to throw him off the boat, and furthermore there's rumor of a declaration that only the most titillating vixens are to be allowed on Zack Island so that he may enjoy a show worthy of his magnificence. While this has no bearing on what the ship actually does, it is a great offense to the actual captain of the Illustrious, one of the most interesting men in the world. So the mysterious Kaede has showed up on the fight billing facing off against the self-billed Emperor of the Illustrious!
[+] FEATURE MATCH! SOL BADGUY vs. RYU HAYABUSA in "ON THE SILK ROAD"
PROFESSIONAL FIGHTING WORLDWIDE is bringing you the greatest fights! The two-level promenade deck aboard the luxury cruiseliner is known colloquially as the Silk Road, due to its many undiscovered titillations and delights. It's here that the battle is heating up, as the beautiful crew of the Illustrious and its passengers gather to watch the extreme battle between the enigmatic mercenary SOL BADGUY vs. the surprise last-minute Trouble In Paradise entry RYU HAYABUSA! Nobody is really sure why he's on a team with a disadvantaged youth, but that must mean badass shinobis love disadvantaged kids, right? It's all coming to you here on VOYAGE OF FISTS!
