Description: Aranha, (in)famous (ex)-cat burglar, traceur and Capoeira fighter, sneaks into the church to steal the diamond. And he does a masterful job. Can he escape the two guards persistent enough to give chase?
He was dressed in a black sleeved shirt, black pants, black gloves, and black faceless mask. His tools in pounches on his belt and he also had a black drawstring backpack. Aranha was ready to go.
With the chaos that Sterling had arranged, it made the Dancing Spider's job significantly easier. He only had to worry about a skeleton crew and they couldn't be everywhere at once. Having them so spread far apart meant he could sneak in between the gaps and get where he needed to go.
With careful movements, he manages to evade the cameras which due to the slap dash nature of set up, could not be installed in areas where they could be hidden. In addition, the infrastructure required to install hidden cameras also required doing damage to the church's wall which would take way too long to repair and would insure that cameras wouldn't be ready by the time the heist was to begin.
He didn't mind taking things slow getting in, but he wanted to get out quickly. That meant finding the information center where the camera information was stored, deleting the video files for the entire day and then shutting down the cameras completely. Once those cameras down he only had a small window of opportunity before someone would realize that camera footage was no longer being recorded and that the search would be on for him.
He immediately made his way to the case with the jewel and examined it for a moment before then taking out some tools. The security system probably would've been good enough to keep out your garden variety fighter. The problem they had was that they were dealing with a skilled cat burglar who also happened to be a fighter. After bypassing the alarm system he lifts the case and takes the jewel and places it in a small bag before attempting to leave the scene of the crime.
The traceur manages to evade the guards as he makes his way out it's not until he's out of the rear doors that the guards realize that the cameras have been compromised and attention immediately go to the diamond and with it gone and the alarms disabled they have to manually trigger the alarms. It's time for Aranha to make his escape!

Senna is -not- the kind of person who gets hired on for these things. Truth be told she's much more comfortable in the position of being the one -doing- the smash-and-grab. But... she needed money and she wanted to be in Cannes because it's fucking cold back home and... well, here she is. She actually kind of likes the place but the way the security was being done...
Jesus. She actually almost said that out loud, but one of the priests was walking by just then and he just... he looked too kindly, even for Senna--a visible hardcase--to just lay that on. So she's not in with the guards when the alarms -finally- go off. However, she's not exactly in -prime- position, either--she's off a bit to the side, just finishing up a cigarette, when her radio squawks to life and the alarms go off.
<<Le diamant!! Le diamant est parti!!>> cries the panicked French voice on her radio and that draws a 'tch' from the boxer and roughwoman. "Knew that setup was bullshit," she mutters as she spots the figure exeunting stage back.
"HEY!" she shouts, as she takes off after the man, her black guard outfit totally unlike what she usually wears--and too tight in the shoulders, my god. While running she just tears the sleeves out and tosses the useless-to-her nightstick away, listening to it clatter to the ground distractedly as she chases Aranha down.

"This is so unfair!" Yuri Sakazaki complains as she looks over the uniform she's being forced to wear. Wearing a guard's uniform is not something Yuri enjoys wearing, but it's part of the deal as she and her colleague have to take on the challenge of protecting a diamond from a thief. Or at least, that's what they're supposed to be doing, until someone points out the cameras are down, and then another guard mentions that the diamond has been stolen. It's a chain reaction that leads to yet another guard manually activating the alarms.
At least they let Yuri wear her traditional headband, because it looks like she's gonna be sweating quite a bit when they find the thief. Which doesn't take long since Senna seems to spot the thief almost immediately, and Yuri literally springs into action faster than the blink of an eye. "Hey you! Stop or we'll kick your butt so hard you'll never sit down again!" Yuri takes off running as well, clenching her fists as she does so.

If Aranha was going to stop, they were going to have to make him.
Upon hearing Yuri's voice there's a slight sense of deja vu. The thing is, Aranha doesn't really have the time to address it. He had places to not be(the church) people to not see(Senna and Yuri), and things to not do(get caught).
Aranha digs into one of his belt pouches and pulls out a mirror and using what little of the ambient light he can uses it to look at his pursuers. He breaks into a harder run as he whips he free hand backwards and throws a rock behind him using the mirror to aim it at Yuri.
He will not speak, the less he can give his pursuers to identify him, the better.
Yeah, this guy's fast. Definitely fast. And he's right--as Senna well knows, yelling 'stop' only works on rookie crims. The real bad guys--of which she has been one--know that it means nothing. So...
She has to take action. Fortunately this guard gig came with -some- equipment, even if they were denied guns (and Senna would've tossed one aside anyways). Still pumping her legs at full belt--Aranha is fast, but Senna's no slouch--
--she reaches to her belt and drags out the Maglite they gave her. Step one.
Step two, reach back and wind up.
Step three--hurl the useless thing forward, spinning end over end, at Aranha. Head, back, leg...
Doesn't matter. Slow him down, let them catch up. That's her goal.

The thief doesn't have to speak if he doesn't want to. Yuri's just going to keep pursuing him until she and/or Senna catch him. Even with the thief reaching into his pocket and pulling out a rock, Yuri attempts to raise one hand and deflect it away, thinking it's nothing more than just a simple attempt at trying to disrupt them. Unfortunately, it's not quite as simple as Yuri presumes it to be. Because the rock hits Yuri right in the center of the forehead, in a spot where her headband doesn't cover, which hurts quite a bit for some reason.
"Owww!" Yuri whines as she stops and rubs her forehead. "That wasn't nice!" Yuri yells as she rushes after the thief again. "You don't wanna stop, huh? Well, then I'll just have to make you stop!" Yuri brings one fist behind her to focus her chi as best as she can while she continues to chase the thief, then attempts to send forth a fireball type attack. Hopefully this should slow down the thief a little.

The good thing about him carrying the mirror was that it allowed him to see what was going on behind him. He can see the nigh useless mag lite careening in the direction of his legs and then he sees the ball of chi making a b-line for his back.
Well they got him to stop moving away from him if not quite on their terms. He runs up the street lamp and flips up and over the mag lite as he twists up into the air and lands right in front of the Ko'ou Ken. He has too much momentum going to stop so he drops into a slide right under it and then with minimal recovery time, he's back on his feet and running right at the two women.
Perhaps he's thinking that his salvation is in going right through his pursuers. He charges right for Senna and then jumps right at her as he performs a drop kick right at the boxer's torso.

Being a boxer, or at least, being Senna's kind of boxer, means being light on her feet. She isn't always going to be able to stand toe-to-toe with bruisers. She started in a technical style and it shows as she slips Aranha's drop kick, flowing to the left in a quick movement started with the repositioning of her feet.
As she dodges, she draws her right hand back, hammering it out and down in a slightly... -untraditional- punch, certainly not one seen in boxing matches, a downward-aimed punch.
It is a punch aimed for not center mass, which would be smart, but a punch aimed for the nearest thigh--the thought being to disable some of that speed. But he's moving fast and she is too, and accuracy is hard in these conditions...
Yuri pouts as her fireball misses completely. She can't believe that this thief is so swift on his feet. All she can do is shake her head as she watches both attacks go completely without hitting the thief. "This isn't fair! We're supposed to be catching the bad guys!" Yuri complains, although whether Senna will say anything about that is uncertain as well as irrelevant. Yuri gives herself an extra bit of oomph in her running, trying to pour on a little extra speed.
Even though Yuri's got sweat going into her headband big time now, she's still giving it all she's got. She tries to get a little closer in hopes of trying a close-quarters attack. When she gets close enough, she attempts to do a forwards diving tackle, in hopes of bringing the thief down.

The black clad cat burglar upon landing on his feet turns just in time to see the boxer aiming a punch right for the tear drop muscle in his thigh. Not wanting to experience the 'dead leg' that comes with getting hit in that spot, he brushes it aside with what would've been the same motion as an outside crescent kick if not for the fact that he was bending his leg.
He then sees the Kyokugen fighter charging right for him and he takes the air, using the spinning motion of the block to provide momentum for the twist as he flips up and over. By sheer dumb luck, his landing location will end up being Yuri's back if she doesn't move out of the way.
Either way, once he lands he's going to make his way into a dark alley.
Senna takes advantage of Aranha's change in direction to circle around. Her licentious life--while not specifically geared towards catburglary--does afford her insight into the criminal mind.
She can't quite get in Aranha's way but she can try and cut his path off--doing so with a quick lunge and an out-thrust hand. This is no 'stop there thief' hand, though.
This is a curled-up fist with enough power behind it to dent Aranha's cheek if it connects. Fortunately, she's aiming for Aranha's upper body. Something that might comfort him if she -does- hit--at least he won't have any easily-visible bruises.

Yuri goes down to the ground, which is bad enough as it is. But then Yuri finds that she's getting stomped in the back by the thief. She cries out in pain and feels like her body could give out at any moment on her. But she keeps her composure amidst her, and she doesn't let it get to her. Despite being in pain, Yuri attempts to get back onto her feet. She pushes herself up onto her hands and knees, then gets onto one foot, remaining slightly crouched. She takes a few breaths, trying not to let the pain bring her down again.
And then, Yuri suddenly rushes forwards, attempting to deliver her own unique variation of the Dragon Punch. Hopefully this should hit the thief and stop him in his tracks! If it doesn't, then Yuri's going to be wishing she'd thought differently.

Aranha gets caught in the center mass by the boxer folding the cat burglar and redirecting his path right into that vicious dragon punch variant. He just gets /rocked/ by the impact with his chin. He ends up leaving his feet and then getting sent skidding across the ground.
He rises to his feet. Unseen through his mask, he blinks a few times to clear his vision and once he's clear headed again, he remembers his mission and glances at a near by car, dashing towards and kicking off of it to launch himself at Senna with a foot extended, and if he should connect, launch himself off of her and over said car to move towards the alley way.
Can he make it?

*BAM* Senna's world is turned upside down by that vicious kick. She ends up dumped on her ass as Aranha makes for the alleyway. But that hit? That hit made her -mad-.
She slaps the ground and uses the momentum to rise to her feet, not a graceful rise, but a quick, angry rise that brings her up into a running position. And a-running she goes, straight into the alleyway, pursuing the thief.
"HRAAAAAAAAAAAH!!" she shouts, not really powered by a need to retrieve the diamond anymore, just a desire to smack the man down for kicking her like that. She bursts forward with incredible speed, swinging a pair of hooking right punches at Aranha's head--
--and then continuing the assault with a pistoning series of left jabs, a weltering patter of punches that ends with a right straight punch.

Yuri watches as her attack successfully lands, then watches Senna get hit. She is about to move in when she sees Senna going in for a couple of attacks instead of just one. For a moment, Yuri has second thoughts about going in for fear of accidentally hitting her partner. Then Yuri remembers what they're after, and decides that if she doesn't do something now, there's a chance Senna might lose her advantage, so Yuri decides to join in the attack as well.
Yuri steps back and brings both of her hands behind her, focusing her chi into them. "Here it comes!" Yuri yells as she sends forth a rather large fireball. The Haoh Sho Ko Ken!

Aranha only has a bit of a head start before he decides to glance over his shoulder and see the powerfully enraged Senna bear down on him and skidding to a stop before turning to deal with those two hooks backing him up into the alley with a skipping retreat. Senna then forces him to retreat further into the alley before he's forced to side step both the massive ball of energy and Senna's straight, allowing him to meld into the shadows of the alley way.
Neither Yuri nor Senna are given much time to figure out where the cat burglar had gone because all of black indoor soccer shoe clad foot comes out of the shadow to catch Senna in the jaw with a side kick before the foot retreats back into the darkness.

Whiffing--and titanically, at that--is not a pleasant feeling for the young (?), has-been (probably) boxer. But she always fought best when she was mad. When she surrendered to that blend of instinct and training that was her best moments.
Such as this moment. She sees the kick coming too fast to react to it--or so an observer might think. But react she does, beautifully. Aranha is in the shadows, coming at her from an angle that she couldn't possibly know about, and she doesn't.
She reacts with instinct--and with training. A twist towards the incoming Aranha, a sweeping forearm block and a jolting right to hammer in right past that knee joint, right into the fleshiest part of the leg.
Aranha is getting closer and closer to getting away; soon he'll be past where Senna can go--she's no traceur. But she'll try and make him pay first...
Yuri can't believe that her huge fireball was dodged entirely. She is in total disbelief. But she still has a chance to take down the thief, now that he and Senna are getting into it rather closely. This time, though, Yuri decides not to do anything special. Instead, she simply decides to stick with the standard attacks of Kyokugen Karate, since sometimes simpler things work better. She rushes in close attempting to get in good proximity for her attack. She cracks her knuckles and says, "You should've surrendered when you had the chance!"
Yuri then attempts to feint out the thief a few times by faking a few strikes before actually going in with a swift left punch.

Everything had been going to plan until Aranha's leg gets brushed aside when he goes for the side kick. That jolting punch hits right where Nightwolf had stabbed his leg a few days a go, causing the cat burglar hiss a bit before he finds himself stumbling out of the shadows right towards Yuri.
He doesn't bite most of the feints but he reacts to second to the last one. He moves forward aggravating the that leg muscle and as he attempts to swing an elbow right for the Kyokugen practitioner's jaw, her real punch connects with his chin but his face doesn't move.
He stops. Rubs his chin, a bit and then shrugs. After that he glances to a dumpster, which leads to a fire escape, which leads to a window ledge which theoretically leads to freedom.
The two guards have one chance to keep him from that dumpster or they won't be able to stop him from escaping.
"C'mon girl! Let's PUT HIM DOWN!!!" shouts Senna, speaking for the first time to her erstwhile partner in this escapade. How did Yuri Sakazaki of all people end up hired for this? Who knows. Who cares?
Don't let him get away, that's all she knows right now. Trying to take advantage of Aranha's momentary distraction, Senna lunges.
If he doesn't slip away, she'll collar him around the neck with her left hand. And with her right? With her right, she'll pound his stomach with a series of vicious body blows, each one designed to break a rib, four or five of those punishing strikes, before spinning him around and towards a wall.
But he's been a slippery bastard so far, as befits a cat burglar. Getting her hands on him hasn't been easy.
Yuri nods to Senna, deciding no longer to let him get the best of them anymore. This thief may be mysterious, but the mystery must be unraveled. In any way possible. And that diamond must definitely be recovered! "All right, let's take care of this!" She looks to the thief (she doesn't know it's Aranha,) and says, "And as for you, we're taking you into custody, however we have to!" She steps back a little, putting one foot against a nearby wall, and then uses that to give her a little extra intertia as she runs towards the thief.
Every footstep seems to increase her speed, as she rushes at him, attempting to grab him by the neck. If she's successful, Yuri will administer a series of slaps against him, then uppercut him away!

Aranha's mind becomes alert, he lets the adrenaline course through his blood. He finds his focus improving by leaps and bounds in this one moment. As they approach, the two might as well be moving in slow motion as far as he was concerned.
As Senna goes to collar him, he drops low and spins towards her flank in a graceful spin. Aranha then steps around her which ends up putting him into the path of Yuri Sakazaki as she reaches for his neck. Aranha drops down into a slide right between her legs and as he does so, Yuri can feel him tap her ankle just a bit before he rises back to his feet.
Then he's off to freedom, leaping on top of the dumpster, up to the fire escape, leaping to the window ledge and then from the window ledge up onto the rooftop. He waves to the two fighters on the ground and he's gone.
If Yuri looks at her shoes, she'll find a stick of doublemint gum inserted in the heel of her shoe.
Senna growls as the slippery bastard avoids her grasp. She momentarily looks a bit silly, grabbing for empty air--and then she looks to where he left.
"... well, -shit-," she says, spitting on the alleyway pavement.
"Knew this gig was bad news," she mutters, turning the other way. As she goes she's unbuttoning the guard shirt she was wearing, revealing her typical olive-green tanktop underneath. Discarding the ruined shirt in a dumpster she shakes her head and turns right.
"Thought I saw a bar..." is the last thing Yuri will hear from her as Senna leaves.
Yuri can only shake her head in disbelief as the thief gets away. She doesn't even care about the gum in her shoe. She only stomps her foot and sighs. "I can't believe he got away! How could this happen?!" Yuri looks to Senna, who seems to be a bit unhappy herself. When she mentions the bar, Yuri scoffs. "Sorry, but I don't drink, thanks anyways." Yuri doesn't have the luxury of removing her shirt since she's not able to wear her gi underneath. Instead, she simply shrugs a little.
"I'm outta here!" Yuri says after a moment, deciding to head back to her hotel room where she was given accomodations. Hopefully she can enjoy some soda pop and watch some television while relaxing there. As long as her brother, her father, and Robert don't find out about this, she'll be all right.
