"Join the Professional Fighting Worldwide Group as they celebrate Halloween with the 4th Annual All Hallow's Eve Masquerade Festival! Prepare for terrifying treats and titillating treats with prizes, fun, mystery and of course, plenty of the great matchups and action you've come to expect! We've got a great lineup planned for you, with special guest stars and an unlive band! Make sure not to miss the Zombie Jamboree! So don't turn into a pumpkin, bring a spooky mask, and don't be late for the All Hallow's Eve Masquerade Festival!!"

Of course, that's only part of the evening's festivities. After all, more than a few hauntings have been reported on that, the most terrifying of evenings.. they say the dead come back to life on that horrific night, waiting only for their king to give the word.

"Praise me, loudly."

[ Set your PLOTNOTE to what sort of costume you're wearing to the Festival, if any! ]

All Hallow's Eve - Fri Oct 31 2014 - Jackal

The All Hallow's Eve Festival is sponsored by the "Professional Fighting Worldwide" Group, a small association league of fight promoters and venue owners, and it looks like they've got a pretty big spread laid out. Stationed on the outskirts of Southtown, the Festival is set up on what promoters insist was an old abandoned fairgrounds in the middle of a dark and possibly haunted forest. The Festival is open to the majority of the public, but there are many trained actors floating around in various monster costumes, doling out sweets and scares to anyone in the vicinity. Those with heart conditions need not apply.

Many of the fights are stationed in and around the fairgrounds, in various venues specially chosen for any fighter who chooses to suit up in costume. There's a live (albeit in zombie makeup) band, called 'Wake the Dead.' Contrary to popular belief, they're not solely metal artists, either! They're an old-school rock'n'roll cover band, and seem hellbent (ha!) on keeping the party cooking. Still, not everything seems quite right tonight. The PFWG are very intent on maintaining an authentic atmosphere, but everything seems to be just ever slightly out of control. Plus, there's been a lot of rumors around the event grounds about real hauntings, and some of it might not actually be propaganda...

SADA and TABITHA vs SHENWOO in "IT WAS A ZOMBIE JAMBOREE.."
Well, you were theoretically on your way to the Festival proper. Tabitha isn't exactly assigned a costume, due to having very little money to make some of the prerequisite cover charges. Instead, she can get one off of a drunken slumbering zombie somewhere outside the Festival. From that point onward, she'll end up getting caught up in a massive swarm of zombies, who are either under some form of compulsion, or are just part of a really hardcore zombie apocalypse reeenactment troupe (ZART). They're all dancing furiously to an undead beat as they follow the music to the Festival off in the distance, making the entire thing seem like just one big giant zombie mosh pit. Unfortunately, between a half-assed zombie and a genuine Japanese horror ghost, it's pretty much hard to pick them out of the crowd. Which is a shame, because Shenwoo got swept up in the tide too. It's debatable that he's even here on his own free will. And something's telling us that he's probably not going to check the zombies for individual intent before he starts knocking them out one by one...

K9999 vs KEN in "DISSED"
Well, K9999 /was/ enjoying the Festival. Caramel apples. Candy. Watch a little TV. Cause a lot of mischief. Good times. And then this guy showed up to put a crimp in his night. This guy's dressed like some kind of white bread rapper, but he's got some sick rhymes, and it probably isn't going to take more than a couple of verses about K9999 or his lineage to a Xerox machine to get the clone wound up. It's time for some good old-fashioned Ultraviolence.
NOTE: K9999 has suffered a Critical Diss in this match. He'll get extra super gain to deal with Keninem.

JEZEBEL vs HONOKA in "BEAUTY VS. THE BEAST"
Some stagehand literally built a small to-scale replica of Metro City just for you. As part of Honoka's assigned bout, she is supposed to rampage through the city within a certain time limit as a sort of exhibition of her talents (and possibly her Godzilla costume..) But she's about to encounter a little wrinkle. There's only one symbol in Micro Metro City strong enough to hold off an attack from Godzilla. The Statue of Liberty begins to shift from her base, and wades out into the bay, slowly approaching Honoka as she carries out her destructive orders.

JIRA vs. ERIYA in "GRIN"
It's dark in there. A haunted house on the fairgrounds was shut down for safety reasons, mostly due to a horrific accident befalling one of the staff members. Nobody wants to go in there, not even the PFW Group staff, seeming content to leave the eerie house abandoned until Halloween is good and over. Unfortunately, people like Jira can find themselves lost in the labyrinthine house relatively quickly. Neverminding the fact that the place almost seems to be genuinely haunted by now, Jira might also realize.. that she's not alone in there.

SATSUKI vs BRETT in "DROP THE HAMMER"
Even though it's highly unlikely they can get close enough to Satsuki to compel her to wear a valkyrie-inspired Thor costume, the fight organizers at the PFW Group have still put together an impressive set tonight. In the Haunted Woods arena near the edge of the Festival, where the trees occasionally laugh at you maliciously, Satsuki will encounter her opponent: Brett, all done up in the form of a Frost Giant. It's going to be hard to take down one of those without a sword.
NOTE: Satsuki's sword has been replaced with an ungodly heavy hammer in this match. It may be struck by lightning at several points during the match. Nobody quite understands why.

HINATA vs. YURI in "MONSTER OF THE WEEK"
o/` Fighting Evil by moonlight! / Winning love by daylight! / Never running from a real fight o/` The theme song pipes throughout the air as the fight organizers zip Yuri into the tight suit. It's apparently some sort of net-social-positive promotional match for young children to spectate. It takes place on a rooftop near the fairgrounds, where Hinata waits in full Sailor Moon regalia. Somewhat infuriating to fanboys everywhere, both Hinata and Yuri have been given glitter laser wands. They do absolutely nothing but shoot laser glitter, which is possibly the most interesting thing a completely useless item can do. Either way, it's time for the big show!
NOTE: Yuri will have roughly ten minutes to figure out which of several Sailor Moon villainess suits she wants to wear. If she doesn't pick one, she'll end up being stuffed in a Upasocon costume, possibly by an angry automaton. Look it up!!

SAGAT and SAKURA vs K' and ATHENA in "ENEMIES UNITED!"
"Listen, kid. You got guts, I'll tell you that. Just don't say anything to set him off--Our insurance won't cover your funeral!!" Or so the stagehand warns Sakura at her microphone fitting. In an ongoing theme of Tricks and Treats, one of the Treat main events has put together some of the fighting scene's most promising rising stars against the legendary Sagat, the former Emperor of Muay Thai, who nobody was going to tell to wear any kind of a costume. Someone somewhere saw Sakura's costume and decided to last-minute bill the event as 'Enemies United' by putting together Sagat and (Ryu). As for Athena and K's part, somebody decided they look good on camera together and are probably going to mercilessly edit everything Athena and K' do to infer some sort of romantic subtext into literally everything K' does. Some experienced fight fans on site have blogged already that this fight could go wrong in so many ways. Let's watch.

!! ANYBODY !! vs ANAKARIS in "NOW .. MY PLAGUE"
"Such excess. I will cleanse it." -- It happens roughly about the time the Festival is winding down, past the pitch of midnight. Attracted to the Festival by an ancient book, the Pharaoh makes his presence -- and his distaste -- known. First, in the form of frogs and locusts and snakes overrunning the place, attracted to his powerful chi. They cause absolute mayhem, and fighters and staff alike scramble to get everyone to the safe zone. Only then, in the midst of the mayhem of his cleansing plague, will the god-king come to collect that which belongs to him by birthright.
NOTE: This scene will happen SATURDAY and SUNDAY evening, MST. There are only five (5) slots available. All comers are accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis. Characters may swap in and out of the scene between days as fighters turn to battling the effects of the plague on the battlefield. Now make sure to have a SpOoKy Halloween :D!!
