SNF 2014.11 - SLAMFEST2014: WRESTLEFREAKS

Description: After her victory last week, Chloe expects to engage in SLAMFEST against Sada to break out of the low-grade league she was stuck in and become a real wrestling challenger. Instead, Brute Force Wrestling - and Vyle - makes a surprising entrance...

Last week, Chloe had her first major wrestling match that wasn't done for peanuts (not literally; she doesn't even like peanuts). She won.

And she liked it.

Apparently the CWA liked it too, because they asked her back for a second match for SLAMFEST, and Chloe was just thrilled to go. She actually watched a lot of the other matches and thoroughly enjoyed herself while in her civilian persona, but now she has a match to do: herself, as Snakebite, against Sada alone and without Rainbow Mika. (Which is a shame, Chloe thinks, because Rainbow Mika is probably the better wrestler - she's definitely the cleaner one.)

Back in her Snakebite persona, Chloe is on the roof, where a fighting area has been laid out with normal SLAMTASTIC attention to detail. There's a ring, although it looks a little precarious near the edges (it probably looks more than it is, but you never know). There's turnbuckles, there's ropes, there's a whole collection of odds and ends hidden under the ring itself. Two of the sides of the ring are caged so that the wrestlers don't fall off, because that side opens into the air! The other two are normal, because wrestlers just fall onto the roof there.

Snakebite has gone through the pre-fight opening. Her music (by which we man 'music CWA picked' because she doesn't have any of her own yet) has played. She's come on stage, posed on the turnbuckles. And... nothing. Her opponent apparently hasn't arrived at all, or at least Chloe hasn't seen Sada at all, though she supposes the other girl might be hiding under the ring again. She has actually gone through her posturing for the camera... twice. And still, no opponent.

Actually, the whole place seems a little lighter on crew than a lot of the matches on earlier days. Chloe has put it down to being on the roof, because she tends to be an optimist.

COMBATSYS: [Prodigy - Breathe] As Vyle arrives, the normal A/V systems are completely subverted by the dark wrestling convents! Immediately, the screens go offline, displaying the Brute Force Wrestling logo, and a wailing dark pulse envelops the arena, with angry lyrics calling out. "BREATHE THE PRESSURE! / Come play my game, I'll test ya! / Psychosomatic, Addict, Insane! / COME--PLAY--MY--GAME!" VYLE is ready to SLAM!

COMBATSYS: [Godsmack - Voodoo] A haunting drum pulse echoes overhead as the wrestler enters the field. "I'm coming back again... / I'm not the one who's so far away / When I feel the SNAKEBITE enter my veins..." Tempting and deadly all at once. SNAKEBITE (Chloe) is ready to SLAM!

As Voodoo plays through the speaker system, rumblings whisper through the crowd watching, both at the audience beneath the ring watching on the 'Trons, as well as the small stands at the ends of the roof set up for those brave enough and rich enough to get the true front row experience. It's been a while, and Sada hasn't appeared. Even as Voodoo cuts off, there's silence. Where is Snakebite's opponent? Where is the one who was to face off against the fangs of the snake?

Then...static.

Suddenly, lights go out in the arena beneath, as well as on the outside ediface, before a noodling, deep synth line can be heard. Suddenly, a rattling synth drum comes in, along with slicing 'effects' picked up straight from kung-fu flicks. "BREATHE WITH ME!" Suddenly, lights strobe around, and over the song, a voice can be heard.

"FANS! WRESTLING ENTHUSIASTS! LADIES, GENTLEMEN, TONIGHT, YOU HAVE COME NOT TO HAVE A SLAM, BUT TO HAVE A REVELATION! FOR TOO LONG, YOU'VE BEEN CONDITIONED TO BELIEVE THAT MEDIOCRITY IS EXCELLENCE! FOR TOO LONG, YOU'VE BEEN FED MEAT FROM A DYING DINOSAUR, AND TOLD IT WAS VEAL!" The crowd looks around confusedly, though a few older fans seem to clue in enough to boo, once they recognize the voice. "TONIGHT, ALL THAT CHANGES! YOU SEE HOW CWA CAN'T CONTROL IT'S OWN TEMPLE! THE DAYS OF BABYLON THE GREAT HAS PASSED, AND A NEW RELIGION MUST RISE UP TO THE NEEDS OF THE FAITHFUL! THIS RING DESERVES THOSE WHO WILL HONOR IT, WITH BLOOD! SWEAT! GRIT! TEARS! AND A LITTLE...."

Then, a spotlight from below shines atop one of the caging walls surrounding the ring, a man in obnoxiously purple and green segmented tights, and a similarly alternating colored mohawk. "BRUTE. FORCE!" Dropping the mic from his perch, the Rudo known as Vyle drops a banner across the caging, revealing the logo of Brute Force Wreslting, eliciting boos that rumble through the arena. Smirking to himself, he leapt down to the ring, perching himself on the top turnbuckle opposite Snakebite, eyes alight with menace.

"You think you're a snake....honey. You don't know the meaning of poison until you've crossed path with The Sickness," he sneers, as his rogue company makes itself known amidst the chaos of the event.

Chloe was really wondering if her opponent was going to show up at all. She hops down from her spot on the turnbuckle to do another loop around the mat simply to chew up time. What was keeping her? Why wasn't Sada here? She was starting to get antsy; Chloe didn't wait well, especially for violence. It made her want to act.

When the lights go out, leaving them in only natural light (and it's evening in November, so not that much of that), Snakebite assumes it is another entrance by Sada, something that is reinforced by the shift in music - it doesn't suit Sada very much but she supposes someone else picked it, like Chloe's own. That lasts for about, oh, two seconds, until Vyle opens his mouth. That is not Sada. Or any woman, for that matter. She tenses. She doesn't recognize the voice, but she doesn't need to; it's setting her adrenaline reactions off anyway.

She still lets him finish before she speaks again. This /is/ wrestling, after all.

Now Chloe, herself, is kind of a nice girl, but Snakebite, her wrestling persona, is not. Certain things are expected from monstrous wrestlers, and her 'gimmick' apparently slotted her in there whether she wanted it to or not. And it's not like she could just change it, not that she could tell anyhow else that. She has two people to be, and only one of them is real enough for her to give a speech without preparation - Chloe is better at the physical aspect of wrestling than the social.

This means that her immediate response is a rather realistic-sounding hiss, followed by: "Don't count on it! The Capcom Wrestling Association isn't going to give up quite that easily, and neither am I!" She pauses for a moment, then adds, "By the way, you just interrupted a match for the women's belt challenge. I wouldn't have guessed you qualified for it." She may not realize how real this invasion is, though the sounds in the background are starting to clue her in.

Chloe holds position for a few seconds later until someone - on purpose? Accidentally? She doesn't know - hits the bell. Then she's off, coming up from her tensed position in an almost blinding surge of speed; Chloe jumps, flips, does a handspring off the ground and comes at Vyle legs-first, trying to wrap around him in a scissors grip; thanks to the angle and the fact that he's still getting off the turnbuckle, she turns it into a Frankensteiner, twisting herself to try to slam him into the mat!

The bell is rung, and while Vyle didn't send someone to ring it on his own, he's more than willing to roll with it, moving down to the mat just in time to see Snakebite flipping over toward him. Eyes widen, a bit surprised at how fast the neophyte is. But despite the surprise, he's still got more than enough experience with such attacks. So when she tries to flip him over in that Frankensteiner, he's able to overflip and use the momentum to turn onto his feet.

The momentum is enought carry him forward enough that he's forced into another roll, and it's clear such an act of agility wasn't without its costs. But it's better than being spiked on your head, that's for sure. "Oh, you think you can hang with one of the worst rudos in the world, huh?" he asks Snakebite, smirking as he pulled himself up to his feet by the ropes and shows just how much bounce in his step he really has.

Not to mention speed. Swiftly, he charges for Snakebite, trying to take one of her arms and then use his momentum to forcibly whip her towards the ropes with a hammer throw-motion. "Also, not sure anyone mistakes you for a WOMAN, unless they got some sort of fetish!" he sneers as he tries to whip the tailed woman around.

Chloe's 'prop' tail remains safely wrapped around her waist, looking like a snake belt. For the moment.

Speed is something Chloe is absolutely, unquestioningly good at - striking speed, especially. She's not the fastest wrestler in the world, but she's definitely above average, and miles beyond some of the big hulks you occasionally see in any collection of newer wrestlers - people who are strong, and can pick up and throw damn near anything, but have no finesse and no speed.

"I'm pretty sure I can hang! But - hey," she says, actually slightly nettled by that one. "I'm a girl, and I don't know why you'd think I wasn't!" He's coming in, fast, trying to whip her around. She can tell what he's trying to do because she does it a lot; using the whip-like movement of her body is easy /and/ effective, and she got a real good one against Mika last week, when she pitched her into the turnbuckle. She has an idea.

Vyle doesn't get ahold of Chloe's arm. Instead, he finds himself with a bit of a push behind the elbow as he reaches, Chloe having managed to avoid the grasp by a step to the side and a sharp twist from her upper body. She tries to hook one leg around Vyle's from the side.

If she manages it, she reaches over his nearer arm for the other, trying to twist him around press his upper torso into her raised knee in an uncomfortable (at best) hold. Perhaps it's no surprise that someone who wrestles under Snakebite has a pretty good abdominal stretch, given its alternate name...

That's quite a surprise to Vyle when his attempt at an Irish whip is quickly staved off by the push away from Chloe. He's expecting an Irish whip of her own in turn, but instead, he finds himself coiled around, in a terribly familiar and terribly fitting hold. It's a classic, but just because it's a classic doesn't mean it hurts any less when he's twisted and feels his torso stretched out so. "NGHH...."

Struggling within the hold, he finds himself having a difficult time writhing out, until he's able to shove away the leg she has hooked around him. "Dammit...." he grunts, trying to shove away for some space. "I see you're not some rookie..." he mutters, before he makes a dive for her, trying to wrap his legs around her neck, much as she tried to do to him before.

Rather than try to flip her over though, he seems intent to simply hang off her if he can get his legs hooked, hoping to use his weight to cut off that precious blood supply to the brain.

Chloe            0/-------/---====|====---\-------\0             Vyle

"I told you," Chloe says, though whatever other witty comments she was about to say are abruptly cut off for two reasons. First, it was her trying to weave backwards, moving smoothly away from Vyle, because she's expecting a flying kick with the way he's been fighting.

Second, and probably more significantly, it's because this doesn't actually work and she ends up with Vyle hanging off her neck.

Chloe is not exactly small, but Vyle still has two inches' height and quite a few pounds on her, given she is built more slender than muscular. Normally this isn't a problem because she's fast and strong for her build, but when you have someone squeezing your neck with their entire strength and body weight, it becomes real relevant real fast.

She lets out a strangled sound as Vyle begins to squeeze her neck, staggering backwards from the impact (and pulling him with her). Chloe is /certainly/ not going to tap out this early if there's anything she can do about it, and so she doesn't immediately submit to the crushing grasp.

It's actually hard to see what she does next, between her moving around and Vyle blocking a clear view of the cameras to her front. Somewhere along the way her 'belt' gets unlooped, though, the tail hanging free from whatever it's attached to (her leotard? The small of her back?). The thing is suddenly surrounded by a faint aura of greenish chi... and it moves on its own, slamming into Vyle's upper body repeatedly like it was a rope or chain belt instead of... well, a tail.

It feels kind of like getting hit with the length of someone's leg that is inexplicably flexible - it's strong, surprisingly muscular, though it may not entirely be apparent that it's an actual tail and not some kind of really, really good (weaponized) prop. She's trying to simply batter Vyle off her, apparently. Worse, every time it hits either Vyle or the floor, that greenish chi crackles, intensifying the impact. Chloe thinks to grab it several inches by the base to make it look like she's swinging it, but not until it's already started to act; her other hand is still trying to pry Vyle off her.

The hanging head scissor lock does its job for Vyle, seeing the struggle for Snakebite to stay conscious as he keeps it hooked in as much as he can. However, , the big proble with this kind of move is, unless you turn your body foricbly around and risk losing leverage, you don't exactly see much of your actual target, and what you do see is usually filtered through the unnatural upside-down viewpoint that comes with hanging from someone's neck by your legs.

So the surprise of the tail stabbing smacking into him is enough not only to get him to release the hold, but the surprise means that the strikes to his torso are not the only thing he has to worry about. The landing he takes drops him right on his neck, aggrivating the damage even further. It's only his own ring awareness that gets him to roll back before he gets into any further trouble.

Grunting, clutching his sides, he narrows his eyes toward Snakebite. "Oh...that's how you want to play, chica. Well...I suppose that's how we can play," he sneers, grinning before dashing low at her. He's never been THE power guy, but that's only compared to your usual-sized wrestlers. Against the smaller built? He definitely has the power and the room to do some power moves. Like trying to pick Snakebite up by the waist and carry her over into a corner, full intent on slamming her spine first into the turnbuckles.

The aura eventually leaves Snakebite's tail, and it hangs loose as Chloe remembers not to move the damn thing around when there are cameras pointed at her. She grins, showing just the edge of those fangs. "You're the one who claimed to be all about brute force," she says, before jabbing a thumb at herself. "I'm just stepping up. You should be thrilled!" Even now she's going to play for the crowd. What crowd there is up here. There's cameras, at least? They're like a crowd.

Chloe correctly reads the low dash. The problem is that she misguessed what Vyle was going to do with it. Chloe is hefted up, and though she makes a pretty good attempt to free herself (she's slippery, and pretty good at squeezing out from grabs... usually), Vyle gets her all the way to the turnbuckle before SLAMming her down on it.

Snakebite pretty much bends. It looks ... really uncomfortable, honestly; she lets out a loud grunt at the impact, but the strength of the blow does not appear to have crippled her despite landing on her spine, because she's still moving, though a little sluggishly at first. She kicks once, then again to try to clear some space before sliding off the turnbuckle, landing on her feet. She shakes her head, sharply, in an attempt to clear it; this appears to mostly work, though Vyle still has a moment to capitalize if he's fast.

COMBATSYS: Vyle blocks Chloe's Short Kick.

Even if he's about putting on a performance, Vyle is here to make an impact as well, and he's not about to let someone show him up on his own turf. No, it doesn't count that he's technically an invader himself. After all, he's been in this ring for at least a decade longer than Snakebite, he's pretty sure.

Which is why it's so satisfying when he's able to crush her into the corner. He wasn't expecting to have that be the crushing blow, no, but he was sure it would leave her disoriented long enough for him to start doing his work. And as far as grip? He's had to wrestle with idiots who thought oil was a good idea to cover themselves with. HE's used to slippery deals.

THe clearing kick out of the corner finds Vyle's arms as he stops the blow on a guard and knocks the foot aside the best he can. "So you want to see what real Brute Force is like?!" he shouts, loud enough for the crowds below to hear him, making a line as if he was going to try and pick Snakebite up again for another huge slam, and...

Instead, he stops short, lips pursing briefly before a spew of noxious green mist sprays out toward Snakebite's face. A clear heel tactic to be sure, but if she wasn't careful and let any of that into her eyes or any other orifice, she'd find out just how Poisonous such Mist can be.

A decade ago, Chloe was about eight. She doesn't remember it. She certainly wasn't wrestling.

Whether or not Snakebite's kicks hit solidly doesn't matter; they give her enough room to stand and catch her breath. She is looking a little better now, actually, though she's still not in perfect condition. Then again, neither is Vyle, and she doesn't think she's done that poorly.

Well. She hadn't, at least, until now.

Chloe is actually very familiar with the ability to spit... stuff. When she does it, though, it's a little different than this, and she isn't old enough to remember Vyle's old time in the ring to know that he does it at all. The poison mist catches her full in the face, and she yells, this time in actual pain as well as confusion. She doesn't have much to say, though she spits to try to clear it out of her mouth.

But she can fight through poison. She's done it before and, dammit, she can do it again. Through teary eyes (irritation, not emotion - she just took poison mist to the face) she reaches out to grab at Vyle. Her technique is simpler this time; sway left, sway right to pick up speed and propel him away from her. She keeps up the movement when he's gone, putting her entire body into the motion. It makes it look almost like she's dancing, but definitely keeps her light on her feet.

COMBATSYS: Vyle dodges Chloe's Snake Charmer.

[            \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  ////////////////              ]
Chloe            1/----===/=======|=======\==-----\1             Vyle

The slithering advance is not something new to Vyle. He's been known to use such movements before himself, though less swaying and more slow, all-fours 'skittering'. After all, he tends to identify more with a scorpion, or depending on how pissed the other person is at him, a cockroach, rather than snake. But he knows how to look and act poisonous himself.

Leaping up above Snakebite when she comes in to grab him and shove him away, he manages to spring off behind her and get some space. Space enough to slide out of the ring and onto the outside. Narrow as it is due to its place on the roof, he's still got room to find some goodies under the ring.

Goodies like the classic ol' steel chair. With chair in hand, he immediately climbed up on to the apron, then onto a turnbuckle. "HEY, SNAKESKIN!" he shouts, trying to grab her attention, before diving off. Legs tucked in, he flips the chair underneath his feet, as if trying to surf on it. But of course, surfing is not his style. His style? BRUTE FORCE. Like the force of him trying dropkick the chair straight into her face off the top rope.

Drat, Chloe thinks, having cleared her eyes well enough to see. They still burn, but at least she's not fighting blind - it was making that grab more than a little bit harder than usual. She's not psychic!

She did get Vyle to back off for a moment even if she couldn't lay hands on her, so problem at least momentarily solved. Not entirely, though - it means he can recover and, as it turns out, rearm. The steel chair is a classic, so much of one that Chloe herself almost used one last week until she decided the bat was probably more useful.

Most people don't drop-kick through them, though. Foot hits chair, and chair... doesn't hit Chloe, because she's moving again, and fast. She needs to get at Vyle before more top ropes acrobatics start going on. She's pretty sure she can keep up with him, but possibly not forever; experience counts. "Who're you calling Snakeskin? At least my hair doesn't look like cheap dye!" It is green, though, so instead it looks like expensive dye. (It is not.)

Instead, she rears up and attempts to deliver a huge stomping kick with the heel of her foot directly at Vyle, trying to knock him right back out of the ring instead of letting him get all the way back in and free to act! The boots are not snakeskin, despite Vyle's taunting. Snakeskin is out of her budget.

Chloe            2/<<<<<<</<<<<<<<|=------\-------\0             Vyle

Crashing and burning on the attempted chair surf kick, the chair clatters away, Vyle landing with an uncomfortable thud. It's not THAT bad of a landing, but he plays it up like he just nearly broke his own spine. "GAHHHH!!" he cries out, hand to his back as he rolls over.

This is for two reasons. The first and foremost? A wrestling match, for as much as a real fight is happening, is still as much as performance as anything. Play up injuries, make the crowd buy into every hit, and more importantly, every miss. They need to know what happens, and somethings exaggerating effects is the best way to get those watching into the match.

Secondly? Well...to play possum, of course. Looking vulnerable makes it so someone going in for the kill might not expect when their prey suddenly becomes the predator.

Case in point, when Snakebite attesmpt that huge stomp onto his back, his body coils around, turning, then whipping a leg out to back kick her into the air. "EVERYTHING about you looks cheap!!" he shouts before leaping after her in the air. Catching her mid-flight, he grabs onto one of her legs, hooking his arm around it, while draping his knee and shin across her throat. Extending his other leg out behind him, he directs her downward in a crushing slam, making sure she lands on her head and neck first, as well as the crushing force of his leg across her neck.

It is true that this is both a real fight and a 'real' fight, which is why Chloe hasn't really been hiding what she's doing (except for that one moment where she unlooped her tail, or possibly that it unlooped itself). She doesn't take Vyle's overacting as perfect fact, but does assume that he's actually down for a moment.

Whoops.

Chloe attempts the stomp and it definitely does not go her way. The kick launches her up despite an attempt by her to block it - too little, too late, especially because that does absolutely nothing for Vyle's follow-up grab. If anything it makes it even easier for him, because she reflexively curls down a little to block the low bow and puts her upper body closer to his grasp.

She slams down onto the mat, followed almost instantly by the impact of his leg across her throat. That's going to leave a mark (and given she's already been grabbed there this match, she'll be surprised if she doesn't end up bruised there). Still, it doesn't seem to completely knock her out - it just means she operates on automatic instinct for a few moments.

Chloe exhales. What comes out is a gout of greenish chi; Vyle might use regular old poison, but Chloe's mist is less physical. It forms itself into a blob of energy that blasts up at him while he's still half-sitting on her, exploding like a water balloon on impact with anything solid, clinging with a green mist and disrupting his energies. Chloe moves /fast/, trying to turn the rough ball of energy's launch into a distraction that allows her to get control of the leg on her, rolling with it so that she ends up on the leg rather than vice versa so she can turn it into a proper grapple. She's breathing a lot harder now that she's trying to gain control, though, and less evenly - is this near her limit? Is Vyle finding it?

Pulling away after hitting the Relapse, Vyle doesn't immediately go for the kill. MOstly because 1) He has to see whether this is the end game itself, 2) it makes for her getting up even more dramatic, and 3) he's still not exactly in the best position to go rushing in without a care for his own stamina.

So when she does finally get up, and imediately spew out that green energy, much like he had done before, he's able to get his arms up to stop the blast to his face. He still feels it searing his arms though, which isn't exactly fun...and the distraction is enough that she's able to grab onto his leg and take him over. The hard drop is definitely not what he expected, seeing her react so quickly in succession.

"Get...off....me...." he growls, trying to grab onto one of her arms and use it as a fulcrum both to wrench at said limb, as well as a lever to try and turn her over in turn. It's tough from the bottom, but then again, Vyle has been known to pull off stupid comebacks out of nowhere during his career.

Chloe is pushing herself hard to try to even the score. She still doesn't know who the Brute Force league but at this point it doesn't really matter, does it; she has a goal, the goal is to win. Anything else she can put aside and worry about later.

Part of her, though, just wants to keep beating on Vyle while he's down instead of making it a proper wrestling match. Chloe restrains those parts of herself. With effort. She's going to win this properly, just like the last one, so she can leave the cheap league she's in now and be a real fighter with the rest.

Vyle manages to grab Chloe's arm all right, but he doesn't successfully use it to lever her back up and end up on top of the increasingly ground-based grappling game. She stays on top, switching from grappling his leg to simply grappling his torso; she uses that reaching arm to pull him just a little off the ground so she can snake her legs under him, turning it into a scissors hold where it looks like she's sitting on top of Vyle's chest.

And then she leans backwards... and further backwards. If she's managed it properly, and Vyle hasn't slipped out, he starts to go up as Chloe gets her hands on the mat, doing a handstand and holding his entire body up while squeezing him around the waist with her painfully strong legs. The tail is looped around one of his legs, too, though it isn't tight, and slithers off a few moments later.

Chloe /keeps/ leaning backwards - and then, after several longer painful moments of squeezing, if Vyle hasn't gotten out by then he is abruptly thrown all the way across the mat as Snakebite cracks her entire body like a whip! She ends up lying down on the mat afterwards, though she's slowly getting up. "As - you - like!"

The attempted flip over doens't happen, warded off expertly by Snakebite...but when she tries to wrap his legs around him and pull back, Vyle shows why he's always been a tough draw for any wrestler, using his agility and his own technique to seemingly slip out of the scissor lock just as she starts to lean back, writhing out of it and leaving Snakebite to simply grasp at nothing.

He isn't so quick to move in, though, knowing how much he had to strain to get out of the hold before it turned into something severe. Of course, with performance in mind, he simply gestures up, as if beckoning Snakebite up to her feet. The crowdd doesn't see him trying to catch his breath. They just see him setting up for something big. And when she's up enough? He slips in, trying to take her into an inverted headlock.

"DEAD SPIRAAAAL!" he shouts, before trying to turn over like a barrel roll, the idea to flip Snakebite over and slam her head into his shoulder in a huge rolling cutter.

Both wrestlers appear to be in some kind of SKILL ZONE. The two of them are pretty much trading maneuvers at this point but none of them ever quite complete; they're just using their skills to avoid the worst of it and keep going without a break.

Vyle might have not been squeezed by the Cerastes Scissors (which probably only two or three guys in the audience can actually name; it's her finisher, but it's not like she has a ton of fans yet - most of them were from last week) but he doesn't manage his own Dead Spiral maneuver either. He beckons for Chloe as she rises, and she cooperates at least that much, getting to her feet at just the right time.

But it's not her head he grabs but an arm, which she immediately tries to lift well over her head to pull Vyle off-balance. It certainly stops the headlock, and it leaves Chloe in dangerously close proximity. She grabs at Vyle's own shoulder with one hand.

Chloe squeezes with two fingers and her thumb in a rather painful pinch. Actually, it's far more painful than it has any right to be if it connects solidly - because it's sharp, her digging-in digits actually piercing into the meat. Did she grow /claws/ or something? That same green energy is back, too, as Chloe channels a pulse of it right through her hand, aiming to push the disruptive energy at (and into) Vyle before releasing him. She flicks her fingers afterwards. They don't /look/ clawed...

But sometimes looks deceive. "Had enough?" she says, her voice a little raspier now.

Sometimes, the best way to get a crowd to know your moves' names is to simply tell them. That was the intention of shouting out the name of the Dead Spiral as it was.

Unfortunately, Snakebite clearly had other plans, pulling his arm away as he tried to cinch in that headlock and set her up for the big spinnign move.

And the result is the feeling of hands digging into his shoulder, eyes widening as he feels nails sink into his flesh. This time, he sees the green energy surrounding her hand and sneers. "Heh...nnghh......" He can't help but laugh a bit even as he feels the pain of those claws squeezing down on his shoulder.

Pulling away from it after some time caught in the hold, he clutches at his arm, glowering at the female wrestler. "Enough?" he asks, before leaping after her, feet first. His answer is simply to try and slam his feet into Snakebite repeatedly in several aerial stomps to her face and torso, each one trying to buckle her into the ground more and more.

Chloe doesn't try to hold the Needle Fangs grip any longer than she needs to to use her chi; there's little gain in it and it's a risk. Vyle gets away with no difficulty.

There's just one problem: Chloe's grinning again. Part of her /really likes/ the violence, the strength on display, and she can't quite help herself. "Suit yourself," she says, just as Vyle comes in at her. It's a slamming kick (appropriately); big, powerful.

Chloe brings her swaying defenses back swings her torso out of the way by her hips; the kick misses by about a quarter inch. It's so close that Vyle almost scrapes along her stomach with his heel, and then just misses her chest the same way.

This time as the foot gets close, though, Chloe yanks at it. She doesn't start putting Vyle in a hold, though - her other hand reaches around and plants itself in the small of Vyle's back as she tries to propel him past her, at the ropes, while taking an enormously deep breath.

What she exhales this time isn't a blob of energy so much as a gout, a sustained spray of chi as Chloe empties her lungs. She has to take a deep gasping breath to actually /breathe/ afterwards, but sometimes that's enough to keep someone down. And it certainly improves her rep as a 'monstrous' wrestler, even if it starts to get her some heat from the crowd at the sudden blast.

The rapid stomps Vyle attempts end up being slithered away from, more and more, his frustration hitting a peak on the final one that he overcommitts to it. IT's something Snakebite is apparently able to take advantage of as she catches it and instead takes him over to the ropes in a quick Irish whip. And unfortunately, as he tries to arrest his momentum, it's just no good.

Instead, he runs straight into the blast of breath straight to the face. "AHGHHH!!" the rudo screams as he's blasted and burned, falling over in pain and unable to pull himself up afterwards with all the pain the searing chi has racked him with. It seems, after a while, that he might be down for the count.

At least until he surges in from the ground, trying to trip up Snakebite and put her in mount position. "You think....this is done?" he sneers, before trying to blast her in the face with his own chi-charged spray of breath as she's held down. A last gasp? Or....

COMBATSYS: Vyle can no longer fight.

COMBATSYS: Chloe blocks Vyle's True Venom.

[                     \\\\\\\\\  <
Chloe            0/-------/---====|

Chloe cannot keep up the breath attacks. She's running dry; she's going to have to rely on good old-fashioned wrestling for a while, or some of her other tricks, not all of which she wants to show in front of a camera. /She/ hasn't forgotten they're there, at least, watching her. She has to be, or she would have forgotten, and done something she shouldn't have.

She brings up her hands into a defensive position after her blast. "I think /you're/ about done," she says, sounding cocky - more confident than she feels, really, because Vyle is experienced and a lot tougher than Sada, who she was expecting to fight. She's not entirely sure she's really up to fighting crazy brute-force wrestlers who run into the ring and just kind of start up.

Really, who does that? She's heard of invasions, but this is sounding like a particularly nasty one. She's not sure who any of the crew is working for anymore, either!

Chloe manages to avoid getting tripped, but not the blast - not entirely. Her blocking arms take the worst of it, and tingle unpleasantly, but she's managed to keep it out of her face this time. It's still kind of unpleasant. She will be very glad once she can take a shower and make sure it's all off her. She lowers her arms some moments later, peeking around them. She isn't sure if Vyle is still able to fight or not, so she does what comes natural for a wrestler.

She jumps on him and attempts to pin him for ten seconds.

Unfortunately, as much bluster as Vyle attempst to keep up, he's pretty mcuh run dry himself. And as much as he seemed to run on spite and sheer venom, even that doesn't last forever.

And when his attempted tackle and spray only dgoes so far, he doesn't have enough left in him to stop the spin. And the count comes:

"ONE! TWO! THREE!!"

The bell rings, despite Vyle's attempt to muster the strength to kick out and with that, the bell rings out loud, resulting cries from down below echoing both in and outside of the arena.

"HERE IS YOUR WINNER, REPRESENTING CWA!...SNAAAAAKEBIIIIIIITE!!!"

Chloe pushes herself (slowly) back to her feet. Two matches in the big arena, two interruptions by wrestlers she didn't expect to fight... and two victories. She can't hate that. She raises her hands in victory, grinning through a split lip. At least she heals quick.

She looks down at Vyle again and decides to leave him there, dropping off the arena. She needs to figure out what's going on out there... and fast. And he apparently brought his own crew. But there is one thing she needs to do before she goes.

Chloe pulls down the banner Vyle hung up on his way in, on the fence, and tosses it on top of him. There. Much better.

COMBATSYS: Chloe has ended the fight here.

That was...inauspicious.

When Vyle finally gets his wits about him, he realizes what's draped atop him...and growls, throwing it off him before finally sitting up. He had hoped to bail if things went south in this match, but now....now he has to improvise. After all, he can't let things go south just because he took such a public loss.

As he tried to find a way off the roof, he looks darkly down at the ground. He's going to make this damn invasion work somehow, dammit.
