SNF 2014.11 - SNF: Rumble Roses

Description: The Capcom Wrestling Association plays host to a woman's wrestling event in preparation for the upcoming SLAMFEST 2014 (allcaps required). Snakebite and Rainbow Mika take the stage before the secret agent joins in!

In the world of professional wrestling, there are two major options: the CWA or nothing!

Or at least, that's the way that the Capcom Wrestling Association has been billing itself for years. There is some truth to the phrase, considering just how powerful the CWA has been for years. Other smaller foundations have consistently popped up to try to challenge it, many were too ambitious and fell away, leaving their greatest talent to be picked over by the CWA. Some lucky foundations were more cautious and manage to live on in more regional markets, especially in the East.

As a lifelong fan of professional wrestling, this means that being given an opportunity to fight a major event in THE SlamMasters Arena in Metro City is an incredible honor for Mika Nanakawa. When she took up the mantle of Rainbow Mika and made known her intention to fight the world over to prove her stuff, she never expected that she'd find herself reaching this height so quickly.

She arrived 4 hours ahead of her call time, simply to get an opportunity to walk the Arena, watch the magic being prepared. This has been her first trip out of Japan, and she had hoped to get an opportunity to actually spectate an event live.

This is a whole different level above that.

Now the curvy wrestler has settled in back stage. She's run her test entrances. She knows exactly how long it takes to get to the ring. She knows just how long her song will play. It's simply time to wait.

The SlamMasters Arena itself is packed to the brim. Plenty of people are here simply because it's loosely affiliated with Mike Haggar, the city's all time favorite in the ring. Others are here for the promise of some incredible new talent throwing down. There are even a few who have brought signs singing the praises of Rainbow Mika, the wrestler having managed to establish a small fanbase after her explosive, enthusiastic debut.

The moment has finally come. The announcer has entered the ring, holding his microphone at the ready.

"Ladies and gentleman, Mayor Mike Haggar and the Capcom Wrestling Association are proud to present to you a glorious prelude the Slamfest 2014... a glorious exhibition match between two lovely rising stars of the professional wrestling world. A portion of every ticket that has been sold here tonight will be presented to Mayor Mike Haggar's campaign to help clean up the Metro City streets."

The crowd is already going wild and neither of the scheduled fighters has even made it into the ring!

"Let me present for you... a performer who has exploded onto the wrestling scene from Southtown, Japan. One of the most beautiful ladies the ring has ever seen... RAINBOOOOOOW MIIIIIKAAAAAAAAA!"

With that, Mika's music begins to play over the Arena's loud speakers, and she bursts out at the top of the ramp down to the ring. Both arms held high above her head, index fingers extended as she basks in the cheers of the crowd. She starts to run down to the ring, slapping a few of the hands extended along the ramp. When she spies one fan holding up a "Marry Me Mika!" sign, she makes certain to blow a quick kiss.

By the time she's made her way up into the ring, she's positively charged from the excitement surrounding her. She makes her circle around the sides, climbing up onto one of the turnbuckles and blowing a quick kiss to the crowd. She jogs to the opposite turn buckle and plants one of her feet up on the top rope as she turns to give a quick slap to her ass before moving down toward the announcer.

Rainbow Mika has reconnected.

Chloe has wrestled a few times. She's done pretty well in a rather low-budget wrestling league (actually, that's an understatement; she's pretty much undefeated, because anyone with actual talent finds a better league to wrestle in) but she's never signed up for SNF before and never done a street fight quite like this.

Now she is. In the SlamMasters arena, against Rainbow Mika, in preparation for a big upcoming event. It's kind of a thrill; Chloe was honestly pretty excited about getting to do it. She spent a few minutes just kind of grinning once it happened. The CWA is a big name - a really big name. Getting to wrestle under it, just for a single match, is kind of a big deal.

But now she's gotten her game face on, having avoided Mika pre-match for her own reasons. She was out of the way backstage. She was out of the way in the hallway near the dressing rooms. She just plain wasn't around, though Mika was assured, if she checked, that her opponent actually was here and wasn't actually a no-show.

The real reason is that Chloe was nervous. She had stage fright. Part of her really did want to go back and hide; another part just wanted to talk to Rainbow Mika and have a good time (that part lost) - her actual personality is not really the same as her ring persona in some ways. A third part wanted her to get out there and do her best.

And now it's time to wrestle, and Chloe is ready to go. Once Mika is in the ring, she gets her first real sign that yes, Snakebite is a real wrestler that is actually here. She doesn't even have music selected yet, judging by the fact that a generic CWA intro is playing.

She doesn't seem to have many fans, either... There are a few, but not many, and none as loud as Mika's.

The first time Mika sees Snakebite is when she's vaulting up into the ring, something she does with ridiculous acrobatics - she pulls herself up by the ropes, launches herself into the air, does a double flip and lands, successfully, on the mat. It's very clear why she calls herself Snakebite, too; the snakeskin-patterned leotard, the golden eyes with the elongated pupil... someone's committed to her gimmick. And is that a prop tail connected to the back of her leotard and wrapped around her waist, like some kind of scaly belt?

Snakebite grins, showing small (false?) fangs. She vaults up onto one of the turnbuckles, and her (small) group of fans begin to cheer as she waves at them, giving a long stare at some other members of the crowd. This actually makes them, just for a split second, stop cheering for Mika.

But it doesn't last, as Chloe hops back off the corner, walking to meet Mika nearer the middle.

Rainbow Mika has dropped a connection.

This gimmick is a bit much; Rainbow Mika certainly believes in being showy, but the strange tendency to try to sell wrestlers with monster gimmicks has never actually made much sense to Mika. It's too easy for the props to break or just look a bit silly. Even with as much work as has been put in for Snakebites, Mika's not especially sold. She hopes that it looks a lot better to the audience.

Regardless, she's impressed with the effort with which her opponent is selling the gimmick. It takes a lot of guts to get into the ring, regardless of how you look.

She settles into place as the announcer calls both competitors to the center to lay out the rules. "This match follows basic Capcom Wrestling Association rules. A winner will be declared after a three count pinfall or their opponent submits. Any wrestler who remains outside the ring for more than a twenty count will be declared disqualified."

He pauses to give the two women an opportunity to make their acknowgement, then steps back. "The match will begin when the bell sounds. Give us a show!"

Meanwhile, Chloe is impressed by Rainbow Mika's... Rainbow Mika. She may be amateur, but she's still a big step up from where Snakebite currently sits in the world's regard.

Unless, of course, she manages to win this. That might get her some fans.

Chloe grins again, just faintly. She can't help it - she's excited. But she makes the grin vanish as fast as it came, going back to her more neutral game face. She does not offer Rainbow Mika a hand to shake (because if the bell catches her by surprise she might get picked up by her arm). She does give her a very slight nod, though.

Rainbow Mika's eyes meet those of her opponents, her face intense concentration as she begins to get a feel for her opponent. Between the two, the surge of two fighting auras is intense, but one with keen insight might notice that the strength given off by Snakebite seems to almost be drawn straight toward Mika, along with the surging intensity of the entire arena.

As the two face off, the intensity between both fighters is incredible. It builds and builds as both wrestlers are left waiting for the sound they've been trained to respond to. It's built straight to their core.

When the bell actually rings, Mika suddenly launches herself backward and away from her opponent. This certainly isn't quite what the crowd is here to see, but Rainbow Mika is more than willing to give them a few moments of confusion or disappointment as she aims to bring this match to an interesting start.

She rushes right at the ropes, slamming forward into them without a second thought, forcing them to bow outwards with all of the inertia she forces into them, grinning as a more literal tension begins to build, pressing back against her with all they can manage until...

Suddenly they refuse to be pulled any further, and at that moment Mika kicks backward, letting the returning force of the ropes launch her backwards toward her opponent at reckless speed. Her body bends in the middle as she sticks her backside out in front of her and holds both arms and legs in the shadow of her mass as she aims to slam right into Snakebite's chest and knock both of them off their feet.

Well, Snakebite off her feet, and Mika to the mat that her feet are already off.

Chloe's side of the intensity is... a little different. She just stares right back at Rainbow Mika, her gaze progressively more challenging. It's almost unearthly, with the colour of her eyes; it's hard to miss that she's really got an arresting gaze.

Not that it actually stops Mika, of course. Mika runs for the ropes, and Snakebite doesn't follow. She stands there, shifting her weight slightly, taking a different stance. She seems prepared, and she doesn't stop watching Mika. Does she actually blink?

(Actually, yes. She just did. Ssh.)

But when Mika fires herself butt-first at Chloe, she sways aside, not wanting to get hit by that particular part of Mika's anatomy. The movement is smooth, only involves one step, and keeps her from getting that far away from Rainbow Mika, which is probably the point - because almost as quickly, she comes in toward the other wrestler, suddenly reaching.

Chloe goes for Mika's arm. She grabs at it before Mika entirely lands, almost blindingly fast, and tries to snap her out of the air; slamming her suddenly downward so that her impact is a lot harder than she might otherwise expect it. At least, in her current position, Mika is going to end up more 'aggressively sitting' than 'flat on her back'.

Snakebite keeps moving afterwards, taking a couple steps backwards, moving in constant slow sidesteps as if she expects Mika to charge again. Maybe she does. Her stone face is broken by another excited grin, which takes longer to fade this time.

As the crowd goes wild, something - someone - slips out from beneath the ring.

Sada Asai had been limbering up before the two other women came out. Of course, her identity isn't clear; she has a black half-mask covering her face from the lips up, with a hole in the back to let her hair stream out in a high ponytail. Her arms are bare; she has black shorts and leggings beneath them, along with black slippers.

She circles around the ring. A spotlight shines down on her, so that everyone can see how sneaky the dark grappler is being. Probably nothing to worry about. Reaching a corner near the action, Sada grasps the lower rope, pulling down and watching for the most opportune moment to intervene.

A stagehand (not seen) scoots out a folding chair, which bumps her shin. Sada takes a moment to put it where she can easily grab it soon. Some of the paint bubbles where she touches it.

One problem with trying to grab hold of someone who is already moving at a ridiculous speed to begin with, is that it's really hard to actually maintain any real hold on them. As soon as she feels Chloe's hold on her, Mika merely begins to shift her weight, throwing off the toss so that when the monster wrestler actually does try to make her hit the floor, she's able to roll with it.

All of that movement leaves Rainbow Mika in the awkward situation of stumbling for a moment as she starts to push back up to her feet. She ends up taking a knee halfway through before she can push back up to face down her designated opponent.

...This is when she sets eyes on the new arrival, and her intended retaliation is placed on hold as she takes the opportunity to examine the third member of the match. She listens carefully, waiting for any sign that the referee is going to intervene. It never comes... which is enough for Mika to put two and one together to make Triple Threat.

Mika takes some time to examine the new arrival. Dark clothes. Mask to hide her identiy. A chair poised to be used. It seems that a Heel has been added to the mixture.

"Looks like they forgot to put somebody on the fight card," Mika announces, her voice loud enough to at least carry to the ringside microphones, if not for the first few rows.

She could wait to see what's about to happen, but it's no good to keep the wrestling fans waiting. This third wrestler has made herself a contender, and Mika intends to welcome her. She surges forward to the new target and as soon as she's in close, does a quick twist, trying to catch Sada on the return with a speedy kick.

COMBATSYS: Rainbow Mika successfully hit Sada with Light Kick.

Do monster wrestlers count as heels? Chloe's never actually been clear on that. General reactions tend to be mixed.

Either way, Chloe manages to do at least part of what she'd wanted to; Mika got away from the worst of it, but she still got her hands on the other wrestler first, and really, isn't that what matters? (Technically, she would have gotten her hands on Mika first in either case, because butts aren't hands. Not that that matters much.)

Someone else also shows up. Not anyone Chloe recognizes, but if the SNF staff aren't stopping the fight, she must be intended to be here, right? Chloe's golden-yellow gaze shifts from one to the other as she considers. She's never actually done a triple threat match yet. Inexperience works against her!

Eventually she decides to stick with what she was already doing. Mika might be a little surprised when, a few moments later, Chloe comes at her from behind. There's nothing fancy this time; Snakebite just reaches for Mika's arm after the punch, putting her entire body into the rotation to whip the other wrestler around, launching her toward the closest of the turnbuckles! This leaves Sada otherwise unbothered by the serpentine wrestler, of course. If this is a plus or a minus, well... that's up to you.

Sada is about to vault herself into the ring, when abruptly Mika comes in - and strikes a kick right square across Sada's mouth! Half-sprung up, she does not complete her vault, instead dangling, swaying violently and looking momentarily hornswoggled.

Good! Right?? A heel derailed! Or... was it kicking someone in the face at the edge of the ring, in a moment of unannounced pre-emptive aggression? What will this do for the storyline!?

Either way, Sada dangles for a moment, her body twitching.

That's when the anger comes. The anger and the dripping blood from her lip, which glistens unnaturally as it drips in a tiny thread down the edge of her mouth. As Chloe pulls herself forwards and hurls her serpentine style towards Rainbow Mika, Sada pulls herself fully into the ring, tongue running over her lips.

"They didn't forget anyone from the card," Sada then enunciates in her best school-production-of-Sound-of-Music voice. It projects, if a little more thready, perhaps slightly more EERIE than Mika's own saucy-diva expert voice. Sada herself lacks much of the stage presence of the bombastic other fighters, but she's certainly looking angry.

"They just put on your name by accident!" And with this, Sada leaps forwards with a stomp of her feet, aiming to grasp at one of Mika's pigtails and /swing around/ in order to grasp the larger girl's leg with her knees, hook an arm through Mika's own, and stretch her abdomen in ways it's not supposed to go.

Which would be bad enough.

What Mika will probably realize rapidly is that touching Sada is like putting your hand on a hot stove. It's a chemical burn more than a heat burn, but it certainly isn't fun! And it's not clear which would be worse - getting it on the skin, or in the costume, where it can linger and sting!

COMBATSYS: Rainbow Mika endures Sada's Sparkling Abdominal Stretch.

The problem with begin the relatively big name on the title card is that you can make yourself a big target. Especially when you're showy and still relatively new. Some people take offense to that.

Just from the flow of energy around the ring, Mika can tell that she's about to be placed in between both sides of this as the center of attention, and she gets herself ready. Muscles flex, loosening and tightening, ready to become as hard as steel or as loose as taffy should the need arise.

And in this situation, there's only so much she can do, she readys herself for the new challenger's assault, going loose as she's swung around by the hair, then flexing every muscle in her abdominal core as she's pulled taut, refusing to bend quite as much as Sada might want, and girding herself to the clinging chi that begins to catch onto her outfit... it's a good thing she's trained for hardcore matches an it's relatively resistant to fire, because there's not enough spare fabric to hold it on if stuff starts to break.

But as she's tosses aside, strange energy still clinging to her body, she's managed to let herself be dropped in just the right position to get back to her feet and launch herself right at Snakebite. This is it... only that chi really does continue to burn. It's distracting, and that's all it takes to throw Rainbow Mika off her game. She finds herself snared and whipped around as she tries to hit the air just a second too late. This leaves her rather precariously in the corner...

Chloe flings Mika into the corner - and then hesitates, apparently at a loss.

This isn't because she doesn't know what to do next. It's more because Chloe sometimes has instincts, and the instincts aren't really suited for professional wrestling. In fact, she'd rather they didn't exist at all. The prop 'tail' she's wearing as a belt appears to have slipped slightly; she pauses, tucking the tip back under the coil so that it remains looped.

Yes. The ... prop.

Chloe turns to Sada. Apparently Mika's going to get her moment to recover, because it's Sada Chloe goes after, all high-energy and ready to act. She practically darts behind the other wrestler, trying to heft her up and slam her down, so that both of them end up in a sitting position. If she manages it, Chloe tilts backwards afterwards, yanking at Sada's arms and trying to wrap her legs around them while lying on her back, straining the both of them backwards painfully!

Also, that prop tail of hers has apparently gotten loose, because it drapes more or less around Sada's waist. Chloe uses her free hand to pull at the tip, tightening it too for a secondary crushing hold that Sada will have to escape from!

If, that is, she dropped her in the first place.

COMBATSYS: Chloe successfully hits Sada with Steel Coils.

Before Sada can execute her planned betrayal of Snakebite, SNAKEBITE BETRAYS HER! What is this?!

Sada had been sidling towards the edge of the ring as Mika was thrown into the corner, but then Chloe cames right towards her. She seems to have not noticed this clearly, and her head turns as her eyes widen, looking straight at Chloe - before she's hoisted up and slammed down, seated.

She sweats. Her arms are yanked back, her back stretched, and then that tail wriggles forwards, tightened around her waist and crushing her even more. Her eyes roll back, hugely white behind the black mask, her lips tight in a grinding grimace of agony...!

Agony... and anger.

Sweat drips down her arm, and after some writhing, Sada finally forces in a deep, shaking breath --

At the same time that she slams her elbow back. It screams, her sweat seeming to ignite under the pressure of air friction, though surely that burst of light is just some kind of luminous pyrotechnics. Her target, approximately, is the side of Chloe's face. "GET OFF ME!" she screams.

This is the moment where Mika would expect to get ganged up on. She's been put in the corner and doesn't quite have it in her to get entirely out of this situation. She gets ready to brace for the incoming blows, perhaps find some way to roll out of the way...

But it doesn't come.

Instead it would seem that her assailants have turned on each other. Without an ounce of hesitation she moves back out toward the center of the ring, eyeing the way that Snakebite takes hold on the masked newcomer. She can feel things coming as the masked women prepares to retaliate. But something about the feel of the energy off her isn't quite something Mika is used to.

No, she takes his opportunity to collect herself. Ignoring, to the best of her ability, the still burning chi on her skin, she moves over to the turnbuckle away from the currently engaged pair, and climbs up. "It takes more than just two opponents to put me in a bind!" She flexes her arms, then blows a kiss out to the audience, basking, momentarily in the cheers, aimed at her or not.

"Alright, you two... You have what it takes to beat on each other, but I want to see what it is you can really do! Bring me your best shot, if you've got what it takes!" She raises her arms up to either side, opening herself up slightly in a very traditional 'bring it' posture.

Chloe has strong legs, and that tail - which is not exactly lightweight - is apparently being pulled into a pretty tight loop around Sada's waist. It's a hold Chloe is comfortable holding for a few moments, though - as is typical in professional wrestling - she'd been going to end it after a few moments longer, when she's sure Sada wouldn't tap out from it anyhow.

The punch, though, that convinces her to do it faster. Chloe rolls with the blow after trying to catch it with her free hand, the tail unlooping from Sada's waist. That didn't feel all that prop-y... but Chloe isn't letting Sada get a good look at it now as she vaults to her feet. She is still holding the lower end of her tail in her hand, trying to wrap it hurriedly around her waist.

And then - the challenge. Mika plays to the crowd better than Chloe can. She enjoys fighting, she has her reasons for fighting, but she isn't that effortly charismatic - she's got a presence about her, a feeling, but she doesn't get that /connection/. But she can see when someone else makes it. "You want a challenge?" she says, speaking for the first time since the match started. "I'll give you one!"

Chloe hasn't forgotten Sada. But she's definitely going after Mika again. Mika is still in the corner, and Chloe can use that. She runs, her movements smooth and fluid, as if she was flat-out going to charge Rainbow Mika!

That's because she flat-out charges Rainbow Mika. She goes for a shoulder-check to drive her right back into the corner, then follows it up; Chloe grabs over Mika's shoulder with one hand, the other low and around one of her legs, and tries to scoop her up and slam her into the ground while she twists her body - further away from the corner, putting Mika between her and Sada after the scoop slam!

Sada grinds her teeth, even as Chloe disconnects from her and hustles off to go forth and get herself firmly embedded inside of Mika's deadly, Shermie-esque embrace. Sada breathes heavily for a moment, staring at Chloe. She rubs at her midsection.

What was with that tail?

Except Mika has put it on the line.

Sada sucks in a deep breath...

And screams, "Piece of arrogant SHIT!"

Ooooh, she said a swear. Sada extends one bare arm, shaking an index finger at Mika. "You're probably wanting me to run right into your trap so you can piledrive me, or disjoint my legs... or just bury my face in your big fat ass, like you did at the beach to that guy! I'm onto your scheme, Rainbow Mika! I know your score... I've studied your moves! You may be the rainbow that shines, when light glows through the rain..."

"But light is temporary!! All you can do is take pure light and disrupt it, with your HOPES - your DREAMS - turning it into some kind of pretty piece of entertainment! A light show! But your light comes from a single POINT...!"

Sada's science class had optics in it last week.

"And any light that comes from a single point, without diffraction, will cast... a SHADOW. And the stronger your light gets, Rainbow Mika, the darker the SHADOW will GROW. The shadow where real strength LIES. The darkness that CAME BEFORE THE UNIVERSE HAPPENED! This is what I think about your invitation --"

Sada takes a deep brea- no that's not a breath, that's --

She spits.

It's quite long-flying. It's aimed at Mika. And, of course, it's screaming and explodes when it hits something, albeit with a mere loud POP and a sizzle of acidic fragrance. (And possibly actual acidic nastiness on the skin.)

Sada's arms spread out after this, back arching slightly in a shockingly dynamic pose, lips still wet with blood. Her eyes are huge and white. She's grinning, somehow, for SOME reason.

Rainbow Mika is ready for it. She's set her position, her opponents have heard the call, and the audience is watching. She grins in the face of danger. /This/ is the thrill of the fight. This is what she's trained for, to have an entire Arena look down with excitement and wait to see what she'll do, what her opponents will do.

Of course, this is an especially strange situation where the wrestler doesn't quite seem to realize just what her opponents are capable of. She's still not entirely certain how it is that that burning substance still clings to her. She's also has no clue that the strange tail isn't actually just some weird gimmick.

It doesn't really matter.

She makes her call, and her opponents respond, throwing themselves at her. She readies herself, muscles flexing energeticly. ...And then more strange acidic stuff gets throw right at her. She tries to put her arms up to block, but the substance merely clings to them, burning her.

For once her training at dealing with the unusual doesn't help, and again she's distracted as Snakebite charges in, snares her, and flings her to toward the center of the ring. She does her absolute best to roll with the throw, but the weird burning on her forearms is enough to make her hestiate about rolling across them, and she hits, still thankfully remembering to loosen up her muscles before the hit.

It isn't an entirely optimal situation...

But that's never stopped Mika in the past. She merely pulls herself back up to her feet and smiles. "That wasn't too bad... I suppose it's time for me to show you what I've got."

And then suddenly she whips around toward Chloe, swinging the back of her fist at the side of her head, then following it up with another quick spin, another slam of her fist, whirling one last time in an flash, clenching her powerful leg muscles and then rocketing with all the strength she can manage, trying to slam her ass into Snakebite's stomach... then clenching her legs and following it up with another butt bash.

Snakebite spends an inadvisable moment just /staring/ at her opponents for about a second. Did MYSTERY FIGHTER X just spit? On one hand, Chloe kind of understands, because she's always found it pretty easy to expel chi from her mouth, too, but on the other hand... eew. There are some things that you just don't do.

But now Mika is looking feisty again despite being thrown to the ground (and spat on). Chloe probably should have expected her opponent to come at her butt-first for not the first time.

Actually, Chloe kind of /did/, which is why the fist to her face works much better. It strikes, causing Chloe to stagger to the side, apparently partially dazed by the blow. It leaves her wide open for the follow-up strikes that hit somewhat lower.

Chloe weaves backwards after the first one. It is unclear if she did it on purpose. She is definitely not doing it on purpose by the second one, which knocks her right back into the corner she just forced Mika to vacate. She kind of sinks down into it. Sinks down, down... and keeps sinking.

No, wait, she kind of slid out off the ring. Is she running away? Or is she looking under the skirt of the ring for fun stuff to toss up into it?

(Spoiler alert: It's the second. It also lets her get her head to stop spinning.)

COMBATSYS: Chloe focuses on her next action.

Sada sweats.

She expected Mika to attack Snakebite. She's closer, and Sada just spat on her at a distance. But then Snakebite does the unexpected, and ring-outs!

'Did she know that I was going to beat them into comas with that folding chair!?' Sada thinks, teeth grinding to herself as she looks at Rainbow Mika. Her fingers curl into fists.

Fists, she thinks. No, I can't use my fists in a wrestling match. But I can...

Sada - or "The Shadow" - or whatever - lunges forwards, letting out a sudden hellacious scream and aiming a sudden armbar at Mika's midsection, where that accumulated flop sweat and other stress reactions have turned into a nearly-acidic fizz of sweating, luminous tension! She aims, indeed, to use her velocity to overcome her weight disadvantage.

Will it work!?

Maybe.

Rainbow Mika has reconnected.

This isn't quite what Mika is expecting. It was a big hit, but getting out of the ring is a serious risk, especially when the referee starts his official count as soon as Snakebite's feet hit the floor outside the ring. When she doesn't see the woman trying to dart around the ring to get into a bette position, it becomes clear that she must be going for some form of foreign object.

Potentially problematic, especially because it also has the advantage of leaving Mika alone against Sada, who still has an unusual feel radiating off of her. It's like... she seems unhinged, not quite all there.

All there or not, it doesn't change the fact that she's suddenly charging in at the curvy wrestler. Mika can see that strange chi sizzling on Sada's arm, and quite honestly she doesn't really want to get hit by it again. She tries her absolute best to roll out of the way, but she's just not fast enough; a disadvantage of designing your style around strength and power... even if she is quite small by normal professional wrestling standards.

Despite being hit, she's still got enough of a roll to put some room between her and the unusual chi wielder. This isn't an optimal situation, and Mika knows it. She starts to circle in the ring, settling into a position where she can see both of her opponents, and simply tries to reconnect with all of the energy flowing through the arena, pulling it into her, energizing her.

COMBATSYS: Rainbow Mika gathers her will.

Snakebite isn't all that much differently-sized than Mika - a little taller, a little more slender, they're probably in the same weight category. Maybe this was pro wrestling for lightweights.

Outside the ring, Chloe takes until the count of three to settle her head and only two more to rummage around under the ring. She took a look before the match, and she knows exactly where it is - there. Chloe reaches for the item, and as soon as she's gotten her hands on it, she pulls herself back up into the ring, about five easy steps from where she went down.

Chloe vaults back in on the count of six - since she had a ten-count, that's not a problem. She is also carrying something new: a baseball bat. Chloe doesn't actually remember ever playing baseball, but the grip feels right in her hand in exactly the same way the kendo sticks don't (she doesn't know what they're actually called, either).

Mika, circling, is a target - but so is Sada, and Chloe hasn't done much to her since the first squeeze early on in the match. Snakebite doesn't use the bat like she was swinging for the stands; she uses it like a one-handed club, making a wide sweeping arc before bringing it back, perhaps expecting Sada to grab for it and wrench it out of her hands.

She can't help herself. She's grinning again, a little too widely. This is more like it! The excitement!

COMBATSYS: Chloe successfully hits Sada with Random Weapon.

Rainbow Mika has dropped a connection.

"Come on! Do you not have anything to say now?! You were talking all that good stuff just a minute ago!" Sada spits (metaphorically - important for her) to Mika as she spreads her arms again. "Are you worn out!? Juiced out!? Giving up!? Just tap out now and it won't hurt as b"

THOK

Sada staggers away from Chloe, looking at her with wide and angry eyes as she wields a bat. A bat!! This icon of justice and violence is in the hands, not of Sada, but of Chloe.

(Sada also wonders exactly where it came from, since she was under there earlier and she didn't see a bat. Sada has not yet fully internalized all of the magical mysteries which make up puro-resu.)

"Hn - I'll rip you apart!! But first," she says, her hands coming up as if to brush her hair from her face, even though it's not the same kind of hairstyle she typically has. "But first, I'm going to -"

Her right hand snaps up, and it's aiming to grasp at Mika's hairstyle. And once again, Sada attempts to flip herself around, in a combination of yank and grasp, to get behind the heroine of the ring. "FINISH THIS OFF"

Having gotten behind, would Sada let go of the hair? No, she would not. Instead her knees come up to try and dig right into Mika's kidney-zone and smash her down, hopefully with sufficient agony to cause her to surrender to the pain!!

Mika understands that there are aspects of wrestling that aren't entirely up front. The personas are exaggerated, some of the feuds are simply put on for a good show. There's a certain place in all of this for a bad guy, a heel, to bring more drama into the match. If this masked woman is putting on a show for the camera, she's doing an excellent job of it.

Another important thing to remember is that even if you can respect the effort being put into a persona by your opponent... you also have your own persona, and neither Rainbow Mika nor Mika Nanakawa especially like rude people. So as Sada continues to taunt her after using such... strange tactics, as this weird energy that continues to sizzle and burn on her skin, Rainbow Mika isn't exactly thrilled.

She doesn't have any immediate opportunity to respond, as Snakebite reenters the match to bring the chair down on Sada. She steps back to allow the expected confrontation between them, but finds that Sada seems to have some serious grudge with her and simply turns to take hold of her hair again. Surprised, and still burning from the previous chi attack, she's not quite on her game as she attempts to intercept the knee on her forearm, barely having enough time to clench her stomach muscles to ward off some of the pain as she hits the mat.

...It's important to remember that Rainbow Mika has fought to the point of exhaustion, with her nose bleeding simply to punish an opponent for their insulting behavior. So it should be no surprise when she rises back up, the smile gone from her face. "...You insult this ring. This arena. These fans! I don't intend to let those insults stand!"

She lunges forward with all the speed she can still muster, rushing in on Sada and dropping low to tackle her in the stomach with her shoulder, then buck upward to slam the black masked woman in the chin with the top of her blonde head. If she manages to get her opponent stunned and reeling, she shoves the smaller woman's head down between her thighs and hauls her up vertical by her midsection. In a final effort to show patronage to the great arena she now resides, Rainbow Mika launches herself up into the air and begins to spin. It's not as fast she the real deal. It's not as elegant, but it should be every bit as effective as she tries to bring Sada's head into contact with the mat.

...before falling over, wincing as she struggles against the inevitable haze.

COMBATSYS: Rainbow Mika can no longer fight.

Chloe successfully hit Sada with a bat. That's going on the success stories.

Despite having spent time to go get the bat, Chloe doesn't actually want to keep it, because hitting people with any handheld weapon is not really her forte. She's not /bad/, but it's not exactly her specialty. So she drops it, letting it fall aside. It kind of rolls a few feet before coming to a slow stop, moving slightly every time the mat shifts from someone walking, slamming, or otherwise bouncing off it.

Like Mika, who just made a running spinning piledriver before she fell over. Chloe is pretty sure she could pin her to keep her down... but she's also pretty sure she could pin her in twenty seconds and /then/ keep her down without any more difficulty.

Sada with a piledriver, though. That she's not sure about.

Chloe raises both her hands up, fingers pointing vertically. This gets her (very small) cheering crowd to start cheering louder, because they know what's about to come even if the other wrestlers don't. She approaches Sada, dropping to her back and twisting around to move on hands and feet like she just suplexed someone. She's /really/ flexible, apparently.

Lifting her lower body with nothing but her abdominal muscles, Chloe tries to wrap her legs around Sada's waist in a scissors hold - and squeeze. If she manages it, the squeeze is intense; she has /very/ strong legs. But then there's more than that; Chloe kind of bounces in place once, twice, picking up momentum -

On the third bounce, Chloe does a handstand, literally lifting Sada entirely over her head, still wrapped in her legs, before snapping her entire body like a whip and /flinging/ Sada across the ring!

If she manages it, of course. If not - well, she's still on her back...

"I don't care about your fans!!" Sada answers Rainbow Mika, SEALING HER FATE.

Mika's head slams into Sada's mouth, snapping her teeth shut with a loud CLACK and nicking the side of her tongue. This is probably dangerous but not immediately so; coughing, Sada is staggered back and then slammed in the shoulder. Reeling, she's pushed down in between Mika's thighs, and perhaps that's the worst of all --

And then down it comes.

Down SHE comes.

Sada's spine telescopes just the eensiest bit, and perhaps her accursed inner fluids extend to the fluid in her synovial disks, because she bounces up like a freaking pogo stick. For one horrible moment she lands on her feet, eyes wide and a darkly glimmering expression on her face.

She starts spreading her arms in that same stupid pose she made a couple of times earlier.

Then she gets scissored again. They don't teach you about this at Seijyun (not officially, anyway). Squeezed, Sada makes a sort of squeak-doll noise, her eyes immediately rolling upwards. She's bounced, her arms still extended, and then

CRACK!

She flies towards the turnbuckle, smashing into it with her shoulder and sagging down to the ground in a heap, rolling over onto her back and staring up at the lights. She does not seem to be moving that much, and she's leaving something of a stain.

She twitches a couple of times, though. Might want to not take the risk of her rising as a wrestle-zombie.

Chloe didn't quite mean to knock out Sada; she'd been about to go for the follow-up pin. She has to admit, though, it worked.

Chloe rises to her feet. She's breathing a little harder but still in surprisingly decent fighting shape for someone who has just been through her first big-name fight, in an important arena, as part of an actual event that wasn't booked by a rather low-grade wrestling league.

Maybe she should do this full-time, Chloe thinks to herself. Her aggression is momentarily sated; there's just a faint shift as the tail she's currently wearing as a belt shifts when she tilts her hip. It could just have been a slip.

Chloe goes toward Rainbow Mika. Why? Because /she/ was actually on the original card... and so Chloe goes for the simplest pin she knows. It's not much more than just pressing down on her with her body. She gets back up when the victory is more officially called.

Yeah, she thinks. She could get used to this.
