Every so often, folks may want to apply "Fight Modifiers" (as mentioned earlier on this +bboard) to their fight, to represent environmental effects like biting cold, or raging heat, or raging -and- biting in the form of animals. Traditionally we have forced players to acknowledge our supreme might by asking on the +questions channel for us to apply these fight-specific modifiers. We might still enjoy the attention, but it's no longer required. The new 'config' tool will allow players to apply pre-set fight modifers to folks. It makes more sense in context, so let's say there was a preset called 'SNF3' that applied to Mint and Sven. Mint and Sven each 'join' to start a fight. And then the fun begins. 'config/list' will list the preset configurations which apply to your character. CONFIG: The following preset is available: SNF3: (Mint, Sven) 'config/load ' will apply said preset, and will let everyone know that it's in effect. CSYS: The configuration SNF3 has been applied to Mint and Sven. 'config' can be used by anyone in the fight to show that a fight configuration is in effect. Anyone in the fight locale will be able to see the name of a the currently active configuration, i.e. 'SNF3'. Mint and Sven, in this example, would each be able to see the particulars of the plagues inflicted upon them. We do intend to delete presets after use, to reduce confusion and whatnot, so don't count on your SNF preset being available for successive weeks. Configuration presets are intended to be used in sanctioned fight events like SNF and tournament plots, not in Neo League fights or random pickup stuff. We can produce configurations on demand with the appropriate offers of tribute. The new feature is on a limited trial basis for right now. Comments and feedback are welcome on +bboard 4 and/or @mail!
